Remate is a composer and multi-instrumentalist with a classical formation (having graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff, UK). He has released 15 albums over the years, the most recent being Kitasato (2018), an album featuring electronic pieces about female characters from contemporary movies. In 2014, he wrote the original score to ORSON WELLES' "lost" film Too Much Johnson, and he has composed several works for ISABEL COIXET, recently the soundtrack to The Spirit Of Painting (commission from Museo Del Prado), a documentary about the artist Cai Guo-Qiang. As a songwriter, he has been called "an off-kilter Sufjan Stevens" (THE SUNDAY TIMES). As a composer of film scores he operates somewhere between the minimalism of Terry Riley and La Monte Thorton Young, classical music, art-pop and ambient. He is currently mainly working in film and television.

2 不理解を生む ふりかいをうむ furikai wo umu “begets miscomprehension*.” (Note: *The nuance in this word cannot be captured in full with one English translation. In “furikai,” “rikai” encompasses within it connotations of “understanding, comprehension, appreciation, and sympathy,” of which I believe all are relevant in this sentence. The “fu” is a negating prefix, but I think it’s important to make a distinction between “not” and “bad” here. This is a subtle nuance, but I think “bad” is the correct meaning in this case. It’s not that the disparities create NO understanding between the divided parties, it’s that they create BAD understanding: wrong judgments, misinterpretations, lack of appreciation, and antipathy. That’s why I’m using the prefix “mis-” for this translation.)

不理解もオソレも ふりかいもオソレも furikai mo OSORE mo “miscomprehensions and fear*” (Note: *Bakugou’s “fear” is written in katakana, not kanji. He’s trying to encompass something else with this term that’s different from what AFO is saying. You can look up all the kanji for “osore” to read through the possibilities. This may be a non sequiter, but when I tried to put this through Google translate, it spat out “swearing.” I couldn’t find another source to corroborate this translation, but if it’s viable I think it’d be an awesome tie-in for some other parts of Bakugou’s character.)

1 とっくに飲み込んだんだよ俺ぁ とっくにのみこんだんだよおれぁ tokku ni nomikondanda yo orea “I swallowed* those a long time ago” (Note: This word both means to literally swallow something and to “understand, take in, catch on, learn, digest.” I left the word as “swallow” because I think the connotation carries through to English: Bakugou had to swallow that pill and incorporate it into his mindset whether he liked it or not.)

Introduction!

Hello! I haven't introduced myself here yet.

I created this blog as a way to catalog information about my favorite mangaka at the moment - Asou Shuichi, best known for creating Saiki Kusuo No Psi Nan.

Ever since I've found out about his other works that have been often referenced in both the SaiPsi manga and anime adaptation, I have been wondering. Why is there no info about Haganeno Ken or Ruchi Shizuru? They clearly appear in both media, so why are they forgotten?

Kankyou Choujin Ecogainder

Miután mostanság nagyon átálltam a JAM Project és tagok dalaiba, ezért most komolyabban elkezdtem érdeklődni a Tokusatsu sorozatok iránt.
