Se existe algo que Kang Dae-Hyun gostaria de falar é o quanto a família o apoiou na busca de seus sonhos, o quanto foi amparado e protegido por suas escolhas e aspirações. Mas, simplesmente, não seria verdade. Fruto de um casamento onde os amores platônico e fraternal eram ausentes e substituídos por aulas, atividades extracurriculares, presentes e, o velho e bom clichê de pais que fazem do dinheiro sua primeira prioridade acompanhados pela expectativa de prosseguir com os negócios da família sem se importar se aquilo era o que ele queria.

Conheceu o afeto pela primeira vez aos quatro anos, quando os pais trouxeram para casa o irmãozinho mais novo. Achava engraçado como o bebê parecia consigo e como era extremamente irritante quando escutava os choros vindo do quarto ao lado. À medida que cresciam, e podia tirar ele mesmo o irmão do berço, o menor deixava de ser como um objeto e tornava-se seu protegido, e uma espécie de melhor amigo, visto que os colegas da escola não pareciam entender a dinâmica do lar, ou quando passavam por algo similar, não entendiam a pressão sobreposta no filho Kang mais velho, ou sequer viam as marcas que tão cuidadosamente escondia por baixo de moletons e blusas de manga longa, resultado do que “merecia”, nos breves momentos em que o pai estava em casa, e de quando se punha de escudo entre o homem e o caçula.

Entrou na adolescência com o pensamento de que eram só mais alguns anos, sem imaginar o quão tortuosos estes seriam. Se fazia algo minimamente errado era recompensado com castigos, se fizesse tudo certo era recompensado com castigos. Sua saída era a música. Escrever sobre cenários que só poderia imaginar o tirava daquela situação e dedilhar as cordas do violão, logo mais tarde do baixo, o faziam esquecer por algumas horas que precisaria esconder os instrumentos comprados na surdina. Passou bons meses pulando de sofá em sofá de amigos ou de conhecidos até que conseguisse dividir um apartamento pequeno e se comunicando esporadicamente com o irmão mais novo e se certificando de que estava tudo, relativamente, bem, enquanto mantinha alguns bicos aleatórios para complementar a renda que fazia a mais e conseguir guardar mais, fosse substituindo algum baixista de última hora, dando aula para alguém ou até tocando em lugares por Seoul.

Foi descoberto pela empresa em um desses últimos, e aceitou sem pensar duas vezes e sem saber no que estava de fato se metendo, já tinha tirado o irmão de dentro daquela casa, mas precisavam de algo melhor e, definitivamente, tinha algo a provar para o pai. As he gazed back at me, it felt as if I stood in the centre of the Milky Way itself, staring into infinity. His enigmatic figure stood with an air of quiet authority, exuding an aura that seemed to transcend the realms of the living dead. His sharp penetrative gaze held an impenetrable depth. In those tense moments, I caught a glimpse of the enigma that was Kang Daehuyng, a man whose allure and mystery were destined to intertwine with my own journey within the Stargaze Hotel.

As I navigate my role in Stargaze, I come across a perplexing challenge that requires Kang Daehyung's expertise. With a mix of apprehension and determination, I decided to approach Daehyung directly, knowing that his input could make a significant difference in resolving the issue at hand. Heart pounding, I waited for the opportune moment to strike up a conversation with Daehyung, finding the courage to initiate a dialogue that could potentially forge a new connection between them.

"Mr Kang," I called out, my voice carrying a mixture of trepidation and determination. Kang Daehyung turned his gaze towards me, eyes glinting with suspicion.

"And what are you doing here? Were you so desperate that you followed me all the way here", Daehyung responded coolly, his tone laced with scepticism.

I paused for a moment, gathering my thoughts, before continuing in a steady voice, "I have an idea that could elevate our guest services… I've brought the report with me, could you please look it over?"

Daehyung's eyebrow arched sceptically, his arms crossed as a barrier. "Did Secretary Cha send you here?" he retorted, his expression guarded. "Or did you go through my calendar?", he added.

All the colour in my face flushed, and I felt my hands getting cold- ironically as if a ghost had taken over me. A smirk suddenly escapes from Daehyung's face. "Are you even willing to offer sexual favours?", he asks, amusement lacing his tone. "Huh?", I replied, shocked and honestly confused by Daehyung's offer. Contrast to what had felt a few seconds before his face flushed with embarrassment, unable to maintain eye contact. "Usually, I don't go for men. But with a face like yours, why wouldn't I?" Kang pauses, his brows furrowing slightly.

"Sure, I'll do it.", Yiyoung pauses, "I can do it with men too."

"Good", Kang responds curtly, turning around to walk toward his office. "Mr Kang!", Yiyoung says, catching up to him, stopping him short. "If you even want a chance to present follow me", says Kang Daehyung.

As I follow behind this greek God of a man, he notices his clean-cut appearance, much unlike his crude and unsavoury behaviour. Why did I follow him?

it all happened so quickly. one moment, daehyun and his daughter were simply enjoying time out on the porch before the rain began to pour. it wasn't unusual to get rain every so often, but this storm in particular was very unnerving. the dark clouds that had rolled in had daehyun rising to his feet--and then he saw t h e m in the tree line. with color drained from his face and the lunch he had eaten only a short while ago churning in his stomach, the teacher snatched three-year old bella up in his arms without a second thought. " get inside! " he yelled out, directed mostly at the person passing by on the worn sidewalk. " come on! " he called again as he carried the toddler inside, looking back out from the open door to ensure the other was close behind. if they didn't get up on the front porch in a few moments, daehyun already knew he'd be locking the door without them inside. thankfully, it was but a second or two later that he was able to shut the door securely behind the other, latching the lock and ensuring the amulet was securely attached to the wall beside the doorframe.
