Tbh I feel like the writing in kanetsugu’s route involving the other characters is much better than other routes maybe the writing has overall improved

For me I get this same feeling wit kicho who I hated sm in the other sequel routes but for once I like him much more in kanetsugu’s route

Also some of the writing in kenshins route (eng version) was just pure dodgy… (cough mc’s reaction to isehime’s death)

Kenshin was the highlight throughout Kanetsugu's route... his attachment to kanetsugu and MC, and Sasuke, how he played the middleman in their love story, to how many lengths he goes to keep his loved ones safe, hells, he even fell for MC in the end. Kenshin's eternal route is rightly timed.

I was looking forward to ieyasu's sequel. that said I do like kenshin. his story was good especially the first half. I really loved him outside of his routes a lot. and in his route too, to some extent (despite my dislike for yanderes) overall I love kenshin and I'm looking forward to replay his route after like ages!
