Jasna takes back off towards the crater of what had once been a skaab. The Gruul woman lay the epicenter of the flesh explosion hand still grasped around the haft of her shattered axe.
"She looks like she'll make it, but she needs rest. Can you get the remnants of her axe? She may want those later." There's a look of pride in Jasna's eyes. "Zarii fought well, against all odds. The Gruul Clans will not find shame on Innistrad this day."

Blood for Blood
The manor house was hidden in the slow-fading shadows of the evening, getting burned away with the slowly growing light of the morning sun. Arturo adjusted his grip on his shield, then planted his spear in the ground next to him. His gaze was trained on the manor. The paladins of the Legion stood in neat ranks behind him, all at attention with weapons readied. Familial roses formed of moonsilver were emblazoned upon pauldrons and breastplates. Behind them was the human soldiers who worked with and as part of the Legion auxiliary. Lazaro finished blessing each of them, his fingers stained in blood. Each of the paladins would drink of a chalice once his benediction was done, and Lazaro came to Arturo, handing one to him.
"May your aim be true and your faith be pure, o warrior of the blessed," he said as he handed it to him. "Drink of the life of our people and let their strength empower you. Let it be the reminder for whom we fight, and for whom we owe our life."
Arturo bowed his head, resting the spear on his shoulder as he took the chalice. He took a long drink of it, feeling the ache of his scars fade. A bit of that primal and darker hunger leapt up within him, but he forced it back with a growl. It would not be winning this day.
When everything was said and done, all of the religious ritual paraphernalia taken by the non-combatant humans accompanying the Legion, Arturo looked back to the rest of the assembled forces. The coming light of day illuminated their faces. He saw fear in some. Resignation in others. Determination in most. He took up his spear.
"Legion of Dusk!" he called. "Cathars of Innistrad! Valiant warriors of the planes! The time has come at last to make Braras Stromkirk pay for his many sins. He will face ruination this day. He will face death this day. He will face us and he will see no mercy, no hesitation, no fear!"
Arturo's face was a cruel snarl. "We will ensure that his precious manor is nothing but dust. Be swift, be decisive, and strong! Get that roof down and leave him nowhere to run!"
Arturo pointed to the manor with the end of the spear.
"Leave nothing left! For the Saint and Legion! Forward!"
The battle for Stromkirk's manor had begun.

WHY IS THIS PLACE SO BIG?!? I think I could get lost here for years. It seems bigger than all our major cities combined, then multiplied tenfold.
Technically I'm not in Eiganjo proper but rather Eigan town. It's much quieter here than the rest of Towashi, at least I think?, I've been wandering for a while so I might be outside of Eigan town, the borders are hard to judge.
ALSO I THINK IVE SEEN A HUMAN. How people described them they're these tall mostly furless creatures. A few of them asked to pet me which was strange but endearing.
I also saw a white fox-folk with dark paws who talked with me for a bit, I asked if there were any board game cafes and apparently she was on the way to one right then, how convenient :3 . On that note kamigawan board games are really interesting.

A warning for those who are currently on the plane of Thunder Junction: I have received communication from a concerned individual in Kamigawa about the presence of an Orochi Mukotai Reckoner who crossed an Omenpath onto this plane. This individual is very dangerous, and should be avoided, as his associated group is known to be violent, with a penchant for targeting the souls of victims. He will be identifiable by his brightly colored red and purple tattoos, in the form of stripes and and dragons.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of this individual, please alert me, and stay away from them. I will arrive to apprehend them. A reward will be made available to any who assist, along with the thanks of both an angel and the concerned Kamigawan party.

I go on Holiday
So, the Necrosages have "rewarded me for my dedication & loyalty" by giving three months off the plane. Which is their way of saying that they need me out the archive to hide something that's above my clearance. I mean, it's fine- haven't had a day off in five years, two months, 3 weeks and a day, so it's a nice surprise at least. I was thinking either Dominaria or Kamigawa. I'll see whichever I can find a route to first. After making sure the 'interns' know what they're doing.

Jasna is collapsed exhausted on the ground and turns to Zarii. "By Anzrag's wiggly nose, what were you doing back up?" She pauses in thought for a moment.

Skirmish on the Shore
Bromley watches @captainfiretoad and Flick jump into the water and swim for the shore. He whistles for Greywind to fly towards the shore and begin harassing the skaaben, then jumps in the water and follows after Pelt to flee the sinking ship.
Shregresha and her war band unload from their cramped rowboat, having paddled to the shore quicker than the pirates by brute force, as they don't know proper technique for rowing.
"Destroy the undead! We've done this before, the flesh warped horrors of Grixis fell to our blades, and these lightning-charged monstrosities will be no different! Tol Angata!" Shregresha shouted, charging into the fray, bone sword raised high.

Towashi is a tall city. But even it cannot compare to the sheer size of Kamigawa's other natural features. The Sokenzan Mountains were tall, dangerous, and snow-covered in a way that the usually-rather-mild Towashi never reached.
This, however, was of no concern to the oni currently plowing through knee-deep snow like a particularly eager sled dog, with a relatively large mouse and a relatively small rat clinging to his back. Azzie, for what it was worth, had looped their small belt on their coat to a loop in Zenkuro's coat. They were explaining the akki of the Sokenzan mountains to Ruby.
"There are potentially hundreds of different akki warrens in this part of the mountain range alone! Once you get used to how akki look, it gets easier to identify which one belongs to which. We're going to visit the Warren of Dragons, who live near the peak of one of these mountains. Luckily, Zenkuro doesn't need directions to get there, right big guy?"
Zenkuro's voice was more akin to a growl, but he ensured he was understood. "Correct. Enough of our people train with them and learn their approach to kami magic that we keep regular contact with them. They send some of their members to become Dokuchi Reckoners, and we send resources and some of our people to help them in turn. Much like how things happen in Valley, from what you and Azzie have told me."

Okay so I've gotten to the place where a friend works to help out (because I need rations -w-)
I know I signed up for healthcare work but still HOW ARE THESE PEOPLE GETTING SO MANY INJURIES the brambleguard I think is only a quarter the size but this is at least 40 times the patients I helped there. HOW ARE THEY SO CARELESS.
Also THANK BEZA there were lizards in the brambleguard or else I'd think I'd have no clue how to deal with shrapnel, still DO THEY LIKE BOMBS THAT MUCH.
Anyways I got though a fair few people, they were all very kind and appreciative which is lovely. They also have very pronounced slang which is both beautiful and strange hehe.
P.S Azzie IS short in person (granted I thought they were way smaller)

A Close Call
Alright- got through the Zonot 6 Omenpath to Theros, which is where I'm posting from. However, for some reason none of my sources remembered the the giant snake-whale in the enclosure next to it. The very friendly snake whale that couldn't be stealthy if it saved its life. That almost got me caught by... one of the Guardian Project's researchers. Which would've been bad. However, I was luckily obscured by the splash that the... snale? Whake?... created. Now I just need to sneak on/ hire a boat to Meletis.

"I asked you to surprise me! What was that anyways?"
The night, full of festivities, as the festival of the guild pact went underway. The day proper had not come yet, but that would hardly stop the common people from starting the celebration.
Leta walked, happily chatting with Roxie (@strixhavens-best-printer ) as they walk towards the pub, streaks of light shoot across the sky, blasts of color popping as they start to stall. The Izzet damn near gave them away. Leta opens the door, as she says a joke to Roxie, stepping in, mid grin that dies on her face, as she sees two massive figures.
Jasna (@relentless-gruul-siegeseer )was in the pub, a beat after the grin died, Leta managed to mask her expression, just as Jasna turned to see them enter.

The Journey Begins
Having acquired @obscura-omenseeker's Planar Atlas (and going through the terms and conditions with the lead archivist), giving the feeding instructions of my pets to my associates, and just general housekeeping, I am confident that I am ready for Kamigawa. Unfortunately, the first omenpath I need is in... that Zonot.

8 of ten. An excelente resume of the Book and pretty infromative, really kind as introduction as any extraplanener.
If you restrained from the bad words , this essay would been perfect
This Stupid Fucking Essay by Koda Hayashi
Alright, I spent way too fucking long trying to find some other way to manage this, so essay it is. I don’t know what the hell I’m doing, I was never in public school, I don’t know how to write an essay. I’m in extreme pain and sitting up makes me dizzy. Let’s fucking go.
The Book of Firsts: The Maro of Yesteryear is a book from the thirty-fourth floor of the Living Historian Twenty-Third Public Library of Towashi, Kamigawa. It predates the Kami War, a near-apocalyptic event spanning twenty years over twelve hundred years ago. The kanji まろ, “-maro”, is a masculine suffix denoting something that is or was mortal. There are five Maro: Kiyomari, First to Stand; Soramaro, First to Dream; Kagemaro, First to Suffer; Adamaro, First to Desire; and Masumaro, First to Live. This cycle of entities have a level of overall consistency and uniformity in their primary myths, but details differ between each one.
清らまろ (Kiyomaro, “kiyo” meaning “pure” or “clean”) was the first human to become a daimyo. For those reading this (somehow) who are not familiar with what a daimyo is a powerful feudal lord of the old, broken states of what later became Kamigawa under the Imperial Court. There’s a lot more history to it than that, but it’s a functional definition for our needs in this essay. He was so revered by the people he ruled that he became a White1-aligned kami. According to reports from the Kami War, Kiyomaro retained most of his human shape, even during the times when the kami were forced into the mortal realm against their wills. He appeared as an elderly man in long daimyo robes that rippled from an unseen wind with long white hair and an even longer beard. He also glowed with light and a bunch of glowing lanterns floated around his head; most kami appear with smaller aspects around them that are part of the larger kami but can also move on their own. He also apparently had an elaborate horned headpiece, but it varies in shape and design based on reports. He was also quite prolific both pre- and post-kamification (which is not a word but it is now because I hate you personally, Vasro) and had both human descendants and kami descendants (or rather, more specific aspects) during the Kami War. What the reports do not mention, however, is particular names or titles for either type of descendant. As you will soon see, this soon becomes a repeating motif among the Maro.
空まろ (Soramaro, “sora” meaning “sky”) stands out among the other Maro as the only one who was not completely human before his transformation. Instead, he was merely half-human; his other half was soratami. The soratami are a race from Kamigawa who are descended from the moon myojin and resemble light blue- or grey-skinned humans with long, rabbit-like ears and the ability to float and fly around on command. Soramaro was a wizard who studied every form of magic known to the various peoples of Kamigawa at the time and was so revered by his students that he became a Blue2-aligned kami. According to similar reports from the Kami War, Soramaro appeared as a robed jushi (basically, an ancient kind of wizard) but with four arms and his robe turned into a stream of water once it poured over a bowl in his lap. Some reports say he had an extra pair of eyes and his hair fanned out like wings behind him. He was often accompanied by stone lanterns as his minor aspects. Like Kiyomaro, he had many children as both a mortal and as a kami, but most of his mortal descendants were human. Also like Kiyomaro, there are no particular given names, titles, or epithets for any recorded descendant, as though the entire lineage vanished into thin air. Unlike Kiyomaro, there were quite a few pages’ worth of stories about what kind of magical wizard lover Soramaro was in the bedroom. Quite a few pages.
かげまろ (Kagemaro, “kage” meaning “shadow”) stands out among the other Maro for a very different reason: Of the five of them, he is the only one that transformed into an oni rather than a kami. Extraplanar visitors to Kamigawa compare the oni to demons, which is...fine? Technically they’re adjacent, but it’s not as close as demons across different planes typically are to each other. An oni has much more in common with a kami than it does with a Kaldheimr demon or a Therosian demon, which are more similar to each other than either are to oni. Regardless, his transformation into a Black3-aligned oni rather than a kami may have to do with the fact that he was not revered by any followers, but rather that he was the first human who became evil enough to transform into an oni once he became a spirit. This also means that, of the Maros, he had the weakest resemblance to a human. At best, he is still flesh-colored and his many, many hands (fourteen of those bastards at the highest count from reports) are human-ish. He reportedly had a purple sphere for a torso with a skeletal mask on it. The rest of his body was apparently the fattest ass you’ve ever seen. Because he was not a kami, instead of smaller aspects, he just carried a bunch of different weapons to kill you with. Also unlike the others, he had no reported offspring before or during the Kami War, but I found passing reference to a type of curse known as “Kagemaro’s Clutch” that was written about sporadically around the time of the Kami War, but it’s safe to say that knowledge of this curse is, nowadays, either very hidden or very lost.
あだまろ (Adamaro, “ada” meaning “enmity,” “harm,” “jealousy,” or “covetous”) is...kind of weird, not gonna lie. Unlike most of the other Maros, he did not become a kami through reverence, instead being a human warrior who was consumed by his anger and envy; unlike Kagemaro, he was still decidedly a Red4-aligned kami rather than an oni. This is because kami are simply embodiments of the way things are, and sometimes shit sucks. I’d even go so far as to say that shit sucks most of the time. And everyone was absolutely terrified of him. Reports of his appearance are incredibly inconsistent because no one wanted to get close enough to double-check, so he could have anywhere between six and ten arms in addition to weird spouts on his back that expelled smoke. The minor aspects surrounding him also apparently took on the appearance of skinned human heads with their eyes sewn shut. Not exactly the kind of kami you’d invite into your home unless your home life was irreparably fucked. Like Kagemaro, I found no reports of him having children either pre- or post-kamification, but it was repeatedly said in the source book that his very gaze brought destruction to the point where mortal mages would channel that power. Imagine being able to look at someone so hard that they exploded. It’s probably a good thing I don’t have that kind of power.
And finally, 増すまろ (Masumaro, “masu” meaning “increase,” “grow,” or “double”) returns to the pattern seen with Kiyomaro and Soramaro – he was the first human on Kamigawa to live by the ways of the kami, and his people revered him for it so much that he became a Green5-aligned kami himself. He also retained his human form, for the most part, reportedly appearing as a robed budoka (a type of forest monk) and a long, green, grass robe. His face was apparently surrounded by serpentine coils that formed a glowing crown of light across a bald head, while his minor aspects appeared as lotus flowers floating in the air. Also like Kiyomaro and Soramaro, he had descendants that were present for the Kami War on both the mortal and kami sides. Unlike the other two, I’ve found a family name to trace down for the mortal lineage, which I will do later whenever I feel the urge to dive into more fucking research.
So in the end, where does that leave us? Well, I finally took notes on this book without suffering consequences or having the information distorted, which was the entire point of doing this to begin with. And hopefully whoever is unfortunate enough to read this “essay” has learned something about some really fucking niche kami lore. Peace out fuckers, I’m gonna go throw up in the bathroom now.
There, I did your stupid essay in the format you told me to. Eat shit.

Here’s your fucking essay, Vasro. Shove it up your ass.
1 White mana, in this case, is the type of energy associated with rulership, order, and structure.
2 Blue mana, in this case, is the type of energy associated with nerds who make people write essays.
3 Black mana, in this case, is the type of energy associated with ambition, selfishness, and woodchipper accidents.
4 Red mana, in this case, is the type of energy associated with strong emotions and large explosions.
5 Green mana, in this case, is the type of energy associated with the “here and now”, tradition, and nature. And usually snakes too.

Update for those interested:
@obscura-omenseeker's blackmail worked, the Brokers are no longer muscling into our turf and have instead gone to bother the Hyozan Reckoners...who, frankly, will have them tossed in the canal in five minutes tops. Satoru Umezawa does not suffer fools like that and the Imperials already know better than to step foot on Hyozan territory.
We do have confirmation of an Imperial-controlled Omenpath that connects to New Capenna, which is how the Brokers got here to begin with. Doesn't look like it's used by anyone else, so we're currently doing work to see what can be done about it. It's not going to be easy if what I've heard about the Brokers' boss is true, but we're used to scraps with the Imperial regiment in charge of this part of Towashi, so there won't be problems on that side.
May the kami protect us, I can already tell this is going to be an even bigger mess...

As much as I do not wish to go to Ravnica, one of my coworkers has been inquiring about the possibility of visiting Ravnica for a time. I've had to explain to him that we don't know of any consistent and safe Omenpaths to Ravnica, and due to our...shaky existence in Kamigawa's legal system...we undoubtedly do not have the paperwork required to get into Ravnica just based on what I've heard of the plane's Azorius Senate. But he's still interested in visiting, so...
Can any Ravnicans tell us how one can safely visit without running into the possibility of being arrested while looking around?
