"Fuck," Satoru breathed. He had brought enough medical supplies in his coat for this, at least. He patched the wound in Leta's shoulder and hefted her up into his arms. He had carried many a Hyozan out of an op like this, at least. He glanced at the weirds. "I can't understand you two, but let's get Leta out of here and to safety. I know someone who will help her," he said, hoping they could understand him.

Minamo, legally recognized as The Rebuilt Campus of the Historical Minamo Academy, was exactly the type of high-end aristocratic school that the Imperial Court’s nobility sent their more politically useless children off to. After its destruction by the hands of Hyozan Reckoners (or rather, one particular Hyozan Reckoner by the name of Hidetsugu) during the Kami War, it had been rebuilt and returned to normal operations pretty much immediately. The floating soratami city of Otawara remained above it, a constant warning to those below that they would always be lesser than the soratami and, in particular, the Saiba Futurists among them.

Satoru hated the place and wanted to burn the entire thing down.

He maneuvered around the outside of the building, clinging to shadows as he climbed to the gap in the defenses. His blood pounded in his ears. It was hard not to keep replaying Koda’s memory over and over, when Mei, that backstabbing bastard, had tortured him to “build his resilience” and turn him into a weapon. After all these years, Satoru finally knew who was behind his brother’s dehumanization, and the Reckoning was long overdue.

He knew that elsewhere in the Multiverse, dangers were piling high. An archangel of Xerex hunting for an escapee, a Rakdosi prince on the loose doing who-knows-what or who-knows-who, the vampires of Torrezon fighting for their lives and the lives of their humans against a bat god.

But right now, his priority was vengeance.

He hauled himself up to a boarded-up window and silently squirmed his way in. This particular storage room was unused and locked from the outside, sealed over with plaster and paint. With the rough edge of a prosthetic hand, he made a shallow cut across the cheek, gathered his own blood on metal fingertips, and scribbled two kanji into his arm – 無形, intangible. He could feel his body become less solid, and stepped through what used to be the door to meet with his fellow assassin.

“Leta,” he said quietly, glancing down the hallway as he became solid once more, “what’s the layout look like?” It was shorthand for more than the layout – the guard routine, the notable places to avoid, the weaknesses in the walls and passageways in case they needed to throw someone.

WHY IS THIS PLACE SO BIG?!? I think I could get lost here for years. It seems bigger than all our major cities combined, then multiplied tenfold.

Technically I'm not in Eiganjo proper but rather Eigan town. It's much quieter here than the rest of Towashi, at least I think?, I've been wandering for a while so I might be outside of Eigan town, the borders are hard to judge.

ALSO I THINK IVE SEEN A HUMAN. How people described them they're these tall mostly furless creatures. A few of them asked to pet me which was strange but endearing.

I also saw a white fox-folk with dark paws who talked with me for a bit, I asked if there were any board game cafes and apparently she was on the way to one right then, how convenient :3 . On that note kamigawan board games are really interesting.

Lights are pretty.

You know, I actually thought that I'd have to look down to avoid all the neon lights, that they'd be a bothering and ...eye noisy. but they're really quite pretty. I understand why people love this plane. It's beautiful. Even from this gutter, I'm surrounded by art.

A warning for those who are currently on the plane of Thunder Junction: I have received communication from a concerned individual in Kamigawa about the presence of an Orochi Mukotai Reckoner who crossed an Omenpath onto this plane. This individual is very dangerous, and should be avoided, as his associated group is known to be violent, with a penchant for targeting the souls of victims. He will be identifiable by his brightly colored red and purple tattoos, in the form of stripes and and dragons.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of this individual, please alert me, and stay away from them. I will arrive to apprehend them. A reward will be made available to any who assist, along with the thanks of both an angel and the concerned Kamigawan party.

APPARENTLY kamigawans have these devices that let them watch entertaining illusions, and they're pretty fun. I'm pretty sure there's been some sort of conspiracy to keep me from learning about these.

But anyways, there's this one illusion that's made me rethink the whole "needing an axe" thing. I'm pretty sure it's the best thing I've ever seen, and I'm going to base my entire identity around it for the next year or so. Do you guys think I can effectively just punch all my problems?

P.S. Should I visit Kamigawa? I hear it's violent this time of year.

There are many things I appreciate about the Order of Jukai, but one of them is that their martial arts are not so leg-focused. As someone with a serpentine lower body, I appreciate that the orochi have learned and invented techniques to account for such.

"Ooh I'd like to try some yeah"

The night, full of festivities, as the festival of the guild pact went underway. The day proper had not come yet, but that would hardly stop the common people from starting the celebration.

Leta walked, happily chatting with Roxie (@strixhavens-best-printer ) as they walk towards the pub, streaks of light shoot across the sky, blasts of color popping as they start to stall. The Izzet damn near gave them away. Leta opens the door, as she says a joke to Roxie, stepping in, mid grin that dies on her face, as she sees two massive figures.

Jasna (@relentless-gruul-siegeseer )was in the pub, a beat after the grin died, Leta managed to mask her expression, just as Jasna turned to see them enter.

Eishi, wearing it's favorite plugsuit and a pair of pants a slighly too small jacket stepped off It's transport onto the floor of lake Kamitaki docks, waving goodbye to sir Katsumasas private driver as the moonfolk flew away. A quick check of the high tech wristband confirmed that Protocol was ready to launch itself towards Eishis position in an emergency. The moofolk turned towards the docks, looking for Yuriko Okino, the prettiest person on the entirety of Kamigawa and the one who is supposed to take care of Eishi today, as Koda is supposedly busy. A quick scan of the place allowed it to pinpoint the the secret Reckoner in the crowd. "Hey, Yuriko! Here!" Shouted the pilot, approaching the woman with a wave.

Yuriko finished signing something for a young fan and waved as they left with their parents, then turned to Eishi and smiled. It was one of the prettiest smiles that Eishi had ever seen. "Eishi, it's delightful to finally meet you in person," she said, gently taking Eishi's hand. She offered a conspiratorial wink. "Koda's been talking about you non-stop since you mentioned coming to Towashi."

Yuriko paused for a moment, then assessed Eishi's outfit. "Perhaps getting you some new clothes to wear here might be the first thing we do, I know a wonderful tailor nearby who helps with my professional appearances. Shall we?"

Okay so I've gotten to the place where a friend works to help out (because I need rations -w-)

I know I signed up for healthcare work but still HOW ARE THESE PEOPLE GETTING SO MANY INJURIES the brambleguard I think is only a quarter the size but this is at least 40 times the patients I helped there. HOW ARE THEY SO CARELESS.

Also THANK BEZA there were lizards in the brambleguard or else I'd think I'd have no clue how to deal with shrapnel, still DO THEY LIKE BOMBS THAT MUCH.

Anyways I got though a fair few people, they were all very kind and appreciative which is lovely. They also have very pronounced slang which is both beautiful and strange hehe.

P.S Azzie IS short in person (granted I thought they were way smaller)

Training

Chima leaned back on the edge of the platform, rubbing their face with a cool cloth.

"If you require a break, I would be happy to oblige."

The Orochi Elder watched Chima as she gulped water from the canteen she had brought with them from Ravnica.

"I've got this. Just have to try it differently this time." Chima sighed, staring up a the tree that been causing her this grief. The task was simple enough. Just grab a candle from the top of the tree. Without any of the tools she would normally use for this. No rope, no hooks, nothing.

She leaped up towards the first branch once again, coiling her lower body around it as she reached for the tree's next limb. She continued this, jumping from branch to branch, till she was was about 20 metres from the goal. This was the final stretch.

Chima tensed her coils. She could do this. Nothing would stop her.

Thud.

"Are you alright, Chima?"

"I'm just dandy, thanks." Chima rubbed their hip as glared up at the candle, still undisturbed in its little basket.

"What lesson is this supposed to teach me, again? How to jump really high?"

The older serpent chuckled.

"No, no. How to deal with failure. That jump is impossible. Even if you could make the necessary height, a branch would conveniently fall and distract you right before you grabbed it. It's enchanted."

Chima whipped her head around.

"Excuse me? This entire time, I have trying to climb a tree that purposely prevents me from reaching the top, because you wanted to see how I "dealt with failure"?"

"Yes. You have. And I must say, you are persistent. But also stubborn and obsessive."

Chima took in a deep breath, trying her best not to strangle the old man.

"So I've been told."

"The Kami reward patience and respect, and I have a slight feeling you are lacking the latter"

"Rude."

"My point exactly. If you cannot sit through a single sermon without trying to steal the memories of the acolyte sitting next to you-."

"I thought they were a Imperial spy!"

"-then how can you have the patience to appreciate what you ahve around you?'

Chima sighed, leaning back on the fence around the platform.

"What's there to appreciate?"

"I know you aren't quite used to Kamigawa, but there must be beauty on Ravnica. What about are your forests, your oceans?"

"Concrete & pavement. My plane is nothing but city."

The Orochi started.

"...what?"

"We paved over our seas, cut down our forests for lumber. I had never even seen a wildflower before I came here."

"...training is over. Go back to your room."

"Whatever you say."

Chima slithered off the platform, an almost imperceptible smile on her face.

So I have been hearing about this fighting tournament from some of the gang. I think I'm going to join.

Will give me the chance to hone my skills against new styles and techniques I have not seen.

Yuriko smiled, endeared by Eishi's clear fluster, even if she couldn't see its face. "Of course. I believe I made that clear last night...actually, correction, most of yesterday." She offered a cheeky grin when she noticed the mech falter slightly. "Wanna flip the mech the right way up again before you fall over?"

Eishi woke up in the fanmail covered room once again. This time, it wasn't alone in bed. Yuriko was with it after the events of last night, where Yuriko decided to show Eishi some fun time, that lasted 7 hours. Now, alightly bruised and sweaty, Eishi was held in sleeping Yurikos arms. It debated for a moment wether to wake the ninja up, but it was cut short by the hands on it's breasts squeezing them, which made Eishi let out a small moan. "I was about to wake you up. You primised to show me the mech Koda got from the Hyozan boss."
