To future me (in case I want to revise/refine this):

clarification: Siela wants her food to be the best, so she’s practicing on customer service. However, gathering ingredients takes up the whole day and doesn’t give her have a lot of time to train. She suggests Kamerina taking her place while she explores the craft of cust. serv. Fred has a strong reaction because that means less time w Siela. (ugh and even less so in the future bc spoilers ugh).  2nd reason (a veil to hide his first reason*) is bc he’s a pragmatic character so he believes** it’s better to do things at what we’re good at (esp since the bar is in the red, so it’s risky to experiment now). like, if u were a restaurant, you wouldn’t delegate waitress jobs to a chef. you wouldn’t ask a seamstress to do plumbing. To maximize efficiency, they should do what they’re specialized in. that kind of thought.

*hiding his feelings bc he doesn’t want to ruin their childhood friendship unless he’s 100% sure siela likes him back. (he’s a cautious character based on the google translated japanese to english description/short bio thing.jpeg)
