Does anyone actually know how to tune one of these? Like-

I know there’s ways. But I have one, this one exactly I think. But they sounded BEAUTIFUL when I tune and played right.

Alright assholes (lovingly) help me break a tie

I have a fic to write and I need to decide which of these is best but I Can't so please help me-

I know I know "But the Elliotts probably made her take piano lessons" sure, but allow me to raise you a counter point: Tessa takes the lessons but they're not her favorite thing in the world, more something her mom wants her to be able to do so she can hold up appearances as a perfect member of this classy family. James notices this and one time on some sort of business trip sneaks one of these back to her that he thinks she'll enjoy a little more - making her a little more willing to take the lessons because she gets to finish them and go back to what she really likes in her room. Perhaps she'll find a way to translate the melodies she's taught to the other instruments.

Anyway please help-

epic fans/musical instrument people I need your help

in Luck Runs Out, when Odysseus sings

is there a kalimba in the background??? that's what I assumed it was, because it would make sense (with the kalimba and marimba being Polites' instruments) but listening to it again, I'm not so sure? I'm not very familiar with the kalimba, but I know it sounds plucky and metallic? but so do some types of guitar (Odysseus' instrument, which would also make sense) so it might be that??

if you're good at instrument identification, I'd love to know what it is :))

edit: after further inspection, I am pretty sure it is a nylon-stringed guitar :)

Man the array mbira is so underrated

If you've ever heard of a kalimba, the array mbira is basically a bigger and richer sounding version of that (if you haven't, kalimbas are handheld instruments with a wooden/acrylic base and metal tines that you pluck with your thumbs)

The good array mbiras you'll see on every video are only sold on one site and they're all around $2-5k and I'm devastated by that fact even though most professional instruments of any kind are priced like that

The amount of times I've created compositions in my head that use all these super unorthodox instruments that I love and then FORGET an hour later are too many to count and I want musescore to have the array mbira maybe then I'd actually put in effort into learning it
