Alright assholes (lovingly) help me break a tie

I have a fic to write and I need to decide which of these is best but I Can't so please help me-

I know I know "But the Elliotts probably made her take piano lessons" sure, but allow me to raise you a counter point: Tessa takes the lessons but they're not her favorite thing in the world, more something her mom wants her to be able to do so she can hold up appearances as a perfect member of this classy family. James notices this and one time on some sort of business trip sneaks one of these back to her that he thinks she'll enjoy a little more - making her a little more willing to take the lessons because she gets to finish them and go back to what she really likes in her room. Perhaps she'll find a way to translate the melodies she's taught to the other instruments.

Anyway please help-
