Quality of things, life, way of living." * Kalef Alaton photographed in the entrance gallery of his Beverly Hills residence in January 1988, a year and four months before his passing. * Born in Istanbul, Alaton studied painting before arriving in Los Angeles in 1968. In 1983 he bought a Beverly Hills apartment house that was once home to Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor and turned it into a garden residence, Mediterranean style.
