imagine if makoto x gabu are sublings and kyoichi x taiga are siblings- kyoichi and taiga would be a very calm and serious duo but makoto and gabu....OH BOY 😭

First off, I think your URL is brilliant, and secondly, that's quite the swap idea! XD

Taiga and Kyoichi are already some of the coolest characters in the show, and if they're brothers they'll have double the coolness together!! Also, in the second half of the show Taiga was in charge of X-city while (Evil!)Kyoichi was ruling over X-zone… if the two rule together they'd be unstoppable! (Not that I imagine anyone would want to stop them though! They'd make a great team! 😆)

As for Makoto and Gabu… oh boy is right! 😂😭 They had some of the most entertaining character dynamics to me and I absolutely love the idea of seeing them as siblings, even if it just means they'll be driving each other crazy 24/7! 🤣

I feel like Kyoichi and Taiga would end up looking after them anyway, even if it's just to make sure those two don't kill each other and destroy all of X-zone in the process! 🤦‍♀️ (Let's just say it was probably a good thing they didn't have their Idaten Bikes with them in that prison cell!)

Or even worse... they work together to take over X-zone! 💀

I sat down and said the hell with it I have gone from game to game and I try to finish the whole game then moving on but unless it makes me like do some story before another I decided I'm gonna start going out on a limb and doing the characters I love or are pulled to first. Favorite Ships for Valentine Day :

I wanted to do this post to celebrate valentine day in my own way. Why not just presenting my favorite ships? I don��t have many and I am not a huge shippers who’s life and death is lead by if two fictional characters will kiss or not, but shipping can actually be fun. So let’s go, and put them here!

Honey so Sweet - Nao x Taiga

I wanted to use only one picture per ship but the thing is, everything they do is always so cute, it’s hard to decide. This ship is just this. Cuteness and joy. The manga they are from is very basic as a shojo manga and its driving force is the art and the main couple who is, again, very adorable, making it one of my absolute favorite. 

Orange - Kakeru x Naho

Another couple which despite the odds managed to find each other. Just seeing them together and happy make me happy. They suffered a lot but it was all worth it at the end.

Akatsuki no Yona - Hak x Yona

Ah I really wasn’t into this ship at the beginning. Watching terrible romance anime made me super protective of heroines at the time. Licking her fingers because they are covered of honey and other stuff like that aren’t welcome when the heroine isn’t aware of what is happening and I don’t care how much the male character “love her” he just shouldn’t do that. It’s cool to love someone but you know what’s better? Respecting them.

I didn’t have any expectation for Hak because if anything I learnt that male character, especially in shojo manga, get away with everything as long as their past is sad enough and their feelings for the heroine, strong enough.

But Hak surprised me when he decided to “stop his jokes”, stopping to touch Yona inappropriately at all and shown that as well as loving her, he admired her strength. With time he avoided every trap that male character like him fall into.

And for Yona, her crush on Hak evolved in a believable way, and without noticing I found myself shipping them like everyone else in the fandom. Good writing really make everything tasteful, especially something I didn’t expect to like this much.

(Now if you follow the manga, idk why Kusanagi-sensei seem to be scared to make them a couple because of the end of the manga and it’s regrettable because both Hak and Yona are interesting characters and having them act like a couple would’ve been interesting to watch)

People will look at me weird for this one, just because  I don’t enter in everyone’s little case of ship. I remember that for this ship I saw a fanart on zerochan and thought it was cute, but what made me really love them together was the potential that we never got to see bloom outside of the first season. No matter what I really like them together, even years after. Also an artist on pixiv really draw them well so it just make me happier!

Mario - Luigi x Daisy

The OTP of my childhood. And since I shipped them as a kid I don’t have much reason to add beside that they would look, good together and if Nintendo ship tease them, I still would appreciate to see them actually intimate instead of just descriptions describing them as such.

Since she made a lot of progress and became her own person, even if the story she appear in is still a romance. I just want them both to be happy. King of Prism Collabs Part 1: Hybrid Mind Market in Laforet, Harajuku

[ Part 1: Hybrid Mind Market ] [ Part 2: Crepe Cafe ] [ Part 3: GraffArt Ikebukuro Café ] Couple weeks ago I went to Japan/Tokyo and visited the Hybrid Mind Market Pop Up Shop at Laforet in Harajuku, ate the collab crepe and went to the GraffArt Cafe in Ikebukuro since they also had a KinPri collab going on. Here’s a write up with photos! [ imgur album here, since tumblr has 10 image limit ]

Hybrid Mind Market Collab Pop Up Shop

This shop was located in the far corner on B1F of Laforet in Harajuku. If you look at this photo you can barely make out Minato on the back wall to the very right. There was a bunch of Shiny Seven Stars merch sold (mostly blind bags, but also some non random stuff!) and a tiny bit of OTR things too.

The shop had cardboard cutouts of Kakeru & Shin and Yuu & Yukinojou. I don’t know if they had more and switch them out or what, but those four were there when I went.

If you bought acrylic stands there were photography boxes with nice lighting and backgrounds where you could take pictures of them.

Lots and lots of merch! Guess my favorite shelf though... (abs lol) I love those street style outfits so I got the clear file set, it contains all three of Kazuki, Taiga and Alexander.

A fun little thing was the Name Sticker Machine. It had two different design, the hospital one and the chibi crepe one. It was 300 yen per use for a bunch of cute name stickers. I got both of Alec's designs of course, sadly there was no OTR.

Bought some blind bag badges, it had a 4/7 chance of Alexander aaaaand........... I got none with him at all. Buuut I really love Kazuki and Taiga too or else I wouldn't even have tried these in the first place, just kinda funny I got their full set with none of Alec to be seen lol.

These... these books are just seriously amazing.

They're full of Character x Reader stories seen from the reader's perspective. There's two books and one of them has different cover editions (I got the one with Alec and Kazuki wow, what a surprise :D).

I might try to post some translations or summaries for some stories (there's A LOT, even ones for Hijiri, Jin, DJ Coo and Yamada) so if there's a specific character anyone wants to see just send an ask I guess?

For every 3.000 yen spent you got a random Bromide card. I’m very happy with Joji and Kakeru, incidentally both with winky faces and also Kakeru with his hair swept to the side yesss.

Hello peeps, I have returned to fulfill my vow!

I have read some fics and returned to share the finds from my exploits!

First off, I'd like to report back that Wattpad has the largest collection of Idaten Jump fanfics for those interested in reading them yourselves.

But I've read ones from various sites and this is what I got so far:

Kyoichi's precious gem : A relatively short but sweet and complete slice of life story about Makoto and Kyoichi as she starts to feel distant from him.

Shadows of revenge: A sequel that's meant to take place after the show is over. The writing is very good though there is only one chapter so far. However, it's tagged romance with f/f and m/m ships and does not have an audience rating yet so... read at your own risk? X'D (The first chapter only mentions the evil spirit wanting revenge and doesn't feature any of the other characters so... idk what the rest of it is actually about lol)

Her Destiny: About an introduced OC; "Eloise" who is Gabu's twin sister and has been written into the original plot with her Idaten Bike "Falcon X." She loves her brothers but is caught between her loyalty to her family and to her values to her heart when she discovers that they have changed and become the new cruel rulers of X-zone and Team ST. (The English isn't always the best, but the story is great!)

The Long Lost: About an introduced OC; "Cera" who is well-integrated into the storyline and character relationships as Kakeru's older sister who is best friends with Taiga, lover to Kyoichi and mentor to Gabu and Makoto. She disappeared from our world two years before the events of the show and they come to encounter her in the X-zone. Are there any decent Idaten Jump fanfics out there?

Unfortunately I'm more of a meme-maker than a fic-reader, so I'm not too sure! ^^;;

But I see a lot more fics out there these days than there were back when I first got into the fandom, so I'll probably check some out and post an update if I do find some good ones!

Road to SSS Event #2: Good Afternoon! Steamy Onsen Tag Battle! A Summary

Okay, sorry guys like I explained before I don’t know how much more of this event I’m going to directly translate because I am having a really, really hard time with the Tumblr App lately. 

But this event (like all the SSS ones) is pretty important and I really want to talk about it so here we go. (Or at least, here goes as much as I know about it because I didn’t go all out on the gatcha this time.)

It all more or less begins when Leo happens to notice Taiga acting a bit strange. He’s sneaking around and leaving the dorm early in the morning carrying some luggage. Convinced that Taiga must be running away, Leo decides to follow him (and brings the rest of Edel Rose as well). They all somehow manage not only to ride the same bus as Taiga, but to sneak on after him without him noticing them at all. (Taiga has his anti-social shield up to max, says Kakeru.)

I’d like to take a second to point out that during these scenes, everyone is  legitimately worried about Taiga running away except for Kakeru, who spends the time cracking jokes and tagging along for the fun of it. (Because he knows Taiga wouldn’t do that. Heart.)

So of course Kakeru was right. Taiga was just trying to sneak away to the Rainbow Hot Springs to do some training (the same hot springs also featured in Rainbow Live episode 39) and he was just embarrassed about only going there just because Kazuki did or something like that. 

So, being that they are all out here anyway, they decide to make the most of it and head to the hot springs together. And of course, Over the Rainbow is there too. 

Now. Here’s where the event suddenly takes a sharp turn. 

After the bath, the boys turn on the TV to see Tanaka-san making an important announcement. 

There will be a Street-style Duo tournament! 

(It seems like this will be... kind of a big deal? I mean there is suddenly also a real world event themed to street style?! Not sure how far it’s going to go....)

So, for the rest of the event the boys silently begin to think about if they will enter the tournament and who they would want to enter with. 

Taiga asks Kazuki right away who he wants to enter with and Kazuki gives a vague answer which suggests he does have someone in mind, but it’s not Taiga. 

If I read it right, I think there were a couple of hints thrown in that Kazuki wants to pair with Hiro....?

But in the scenes that follow seem to foreshadow Hiro and Yu becoming a pair instead. 

After their rainbow meal, Hiro, Kouji, Kazuki, Yu, Leo, and Taiga go to play table tennis only to discover there is only one table. So they decide to form 2 x 2 teams with Kouji and Kazuki sitting out as cheering/referee. The teams, chosen randomly, are: Hiro and Yu vs. Leo and Taiga

Yu of course sulks a bit when he realizes he’s with Hiro since the whole reason he agreed to play table tennis in the first place was to beat Hiro. But as the game starts Yu soon realizes he actually has a pretty good connection with Hiro. The two are able to anticipate each others moves and beat Leo and Taiga easily. Yu thinks to himself that being with Hiro in the Duo Tournament wouldn’t be so bad after all. 

Meanwhile Kakeru, Yukinojo, Shin, and Minato decide to dust off an old karaoke machine. (Kakeru comments that the songs labeled “new” are from around when they were all in elementary school.) So they have no choice but to sing some oldies, and Kakeru invites Yukinojo to an enka duet. (Look that up and imagine Kakeru and Yukinojo singing in that style. Then be impressed that it actually would kinda work.) They sing together so much that Minato falls asleep, and Shin slips out unnoticed to use the bathroom and then take a walk because it’s a nice night. 

Shin stumbles upon a shooting range which seems like it might actually be a legit reference to this story. Especially because just when Shin begins to idly think about the last time he did shooting, Louis appears. 

Louis explains that he’s doing a nearby job with Alexander, and the two compliment each other on their yukatas and decide to try some shooting together. How it ends up after this, I think you need to scout Louis’ card to find out. But before this scene ends in the main story Shin thinks to himself about how even though Louis is from Schwartz Rose, it would be great if they could be a Duo.... 

After losing the table tennis match, Leo wanders off feeling sorry for himself about not being manly and holding Taiga back and all that. He happens to find himself at the waterfall where Kazuki trained during Pride the Hero, where Alexander is now training. He also just happens to find himself there at the exact moment when Alexander falls into the bottom of the pool and he’s not coming up. 

Quickly Leo runs down, jumps in, and manages to pull Alexander out to safety all on his own. (Once again Leo truly is the manliest of them all.) 

Just as Alexander is waking up the all the others come to find them too, as they noticed Leo was missing and Taiga became worried since he saw how Leo was feeling down after the table tennis match. 

They hear the situation, Alexander asks them what they are laughing at, and that’s basically the end. 

So it seems the whole street-style Duo Tournament will continue in the next event or over a few events. (Or it might even be a plot point in the actual SSS anime?) 

If I read things correctly, it seemed like the pairs they were hinting at were....

Yukinojo/Kakeru

Shin/Louis

L... Leo/Alexander.....? (N... No... or maybe....)

They’re already wearing modern clothing. 

Alright then, here’s my take...

I agree that Yuki seems like a athleisure type of lady, like so:

Much of her outfits are both convenient and comfortable, often in neutral colours or shades of pink.

Hear me out: Kiku wears lolita.

Especially shades of purple and blue, with ribbons and bows in her hair.

Makoto would have a variety of styles with a vast wardrobe, with outfits ranging from girly to sporty (her canon outfit being a combination of the two). 

Whether she looks ready to go to a tea party or go punch someone in the face depends wholly on her mood.

Kyoichi also wears athleisure at times, often wearing dark outfits with yellow accents. Other times he dresses pretty smartly, especially for school / work.

Koei would wear the modern equivalent of  a ninja outfit; composed of green / black hoodies with masks.

People advise Koei to wear some outfit that “blends in” more. Koei insists he blends in just fine. Into the shadows.

I’m not too sure about Arthur, so have a bunch of green outfits I could see him wear. He dresses like a messy geek when in guise, but wears very smart and neat outfits in his real persona, which gives him an imposing vibe.

Taiga has an interesting combination of a neat and gothic style. Most outfits are in shades of grey and deep blue, and he has several shark themed accessories.

Gabu would dress like a total edge lord, with a very punk and emo vibe. The edgier, the better (according to him). Owns a lot of dark tank tops / shirts with edgy quotes on them. Lots of studded outfits and leather, unless / until his parents confiscate them.

Much like his brother, Gabu also owns shark themed accessories. He also owns a black bat necklace, and post X-zone it creeps Taiga out. Gabu took full advantage of this, and one time pranked Taiga by hanging it on the bathroom doorframe so it got caught on Taiga’s face next time he walked in. His screams were heard throughout the house. Their parents grounded Gabu for that afterwards.

As for Sho, Kakeru and Ayumu... I think their canon outfits already give us a good idea. I feel like Sho would just pull on whatever in the morning without checking in the mirror, and sometimes his mom sends him back to his room to put on something that has some sense when he shows up with mismatched socks. 

Kakeru has a number of shirts which he chooses based on comfort rather than style, and has a tendency to wear his favourite ones all the time until they’re completely worn out and his mom makes him wear new ones. They often have simple patterns on them (stripes, plaid, etc). He sometimes wears 'em with overalls.

Ayumu is the total opposite of his brother and dresses very neatly, spending some time in front of the mirror every morning to check his clothes and hair making sure he looks presentable. But he also likes to wear oversized sweaters and shirts, which his mom buys for him to grow into / Sho outgrows and doesn’t use anymore.

Meanwhile, Hosuke:

He will wear anything girls put on him.

Pash has revealed that there will be 13 insert songs in the movie. In case people don’t want to be spoiled about the content of the songs (and about George) I’m putting this under the jump

It will include covers of TRF songs (Shin and Louis duet is a cover of CRAZY GONNA CRAZY as shown in the Korean promo vid), The Shuffle’s song is called “Koi no Royal Straight Flush (恋のロイヤルストレートフラッシュ)” and Kobayashi Tatsuyuki (who voices Asahi, the red head boy idol from WITH in Idol Time Pripara) is Takanodaba George’s ghost singer since George actually doesn’t sing just does playback (Sugita never sings properly except when it’s joke songs where he just shouts or sings bad on purpose, was curious how they’d deal with that so guess this is the answer). EZ DO DANCE will come back and Vivi℃ Heart Session! is the ending theme sung by Edel Rose students like the first movie.
