hiii i came across your page a few months ago, and i really love the way you write these characters!
i was thinking, maybe a part 2 of “scholarships, mary saotome x she/her reader” where it basically goes into the plot of kakegurui twin and the beginning of the canon-verse?
i could imagine the reader and mary becoming friends, though a slight slow burn romance that forms along the way.
Scholarships Prt II
Mary Saotome x She/Her Reader
A/N: PrtI It’s finally done! You’d think revisiting five chapters of manga wouldn’t be that draining, but it took quite a bit of back and forth to get the important bits. Sorry for the wait, hope you enjoy : ) Word Count: 3,371
“What the hell is this?” Mary deadpanned, looking around the heavily crowded room.
From day one of getting into this school it felt like she slipped out of the frying pan and right into the fire. It took everything she had just to stay out of owing someone an insane amount of money. From gambling Kokoro, to joining the Literary Club, and now being mixed up in Student Council and Full Bloom Society affairs. It felt like they could never catch a break, and if they did, it certainly never lasted. Which was what brought them to where they were now, a speed dating, coupling party gamble.
“Coupling…?” Tsuzura placed a hand over her mouth.
“You got to be kidding me!” Yukimi gawked, “How can you go out with a guy you don’t even know?!”
“Right? Is it too late to back out?” (Y/n) asked, even though she already knew the answer.
“Of course we can’t back out.” Mary groaned. “What the hell did Aoi get us into?”
“Hello.”
“Gah!”
Mary put a hand to her heart, (Y/n) put a hand on her back to help steady her.
“Mikura? What are you doing here?” Mary asked.
“Looking for a boyfriend?” (Y/n) guessed.
“Ugh, no. Gross.” Mikura shuddered, “I’m here on school business. This is Juraku-sama’s event.”
“Of course it is,” (Y/n) sighed, “Can’t escape the council for a minute.”
“Anyway,” Mikura looked down at her clipboard, “there are only four of you, correct? I’ll have to introduce you to a fifth. It looks like Chitose would be an easy addition.”
“Hi, that would be me!”
The Literary Club peered around Mikura to the new addition to their group, a girl with a pin-straight bob. She looked friendly enough at least.
“I’ll leave you to get acquainted. The game will begin shortly.” Mikura took her leave and Chitose took the floor.
“Is this all your first time at this event?”
“Yeah, how does this work exactly?” Yukimi asked.
Chitose explained the premise excitedly. Basically, if they matched with a boy, they would have to pay out. If they didn’t match, the boys would have to pay out. Seemed simple enough.
“So, are you guys playing for love, or money?” Chitose asked excitedly.
“The money.” All four girls replied in near perfect unison, causing Chitose’s shoulders to slump.
“Fine…” she sighed, “Let’s get this over with.”
Chitose lead them to the group of boys they had been paired with for the game and the MC for the event a announced the start of the chat period.
Kuonji, Sera, Kochi, Musubi and Kibashira introduced themselves, soon giving the floor to the girls to do the same. Chitose really hammed up her introduction, so much so it was hard to tell if she was acting or not.
Mary decided to talk about running the Literary Club’s gambling den, a safe option, she figured.
“That’s gotta be tough,” Kibashiba acknowledged with a low whistle, “You must like quick-witted guys then, huh?”
“No, not really…”
“Oh, then what kind of guy do you like?”
“Um…” Mary was going to bullshit the boy, say something shallow, but she happened to notice (Y/n) move in her periphery, sifting her position a little, probably in an attempt to be a bit more comfortable during this awkward game. As her thoughts were drawn to (Y/n), her answer morphed.
“Maybe someone honest?” Her face warmed. Why did I tell him the truth?! She fretted internally as Musubi jumped in to ask Tsuzura questions, swooning over the girl’s ability to cook and sew.
“And what about you, (Y/n)-san?” Kochi piped in, “What do you like in a guy?”
Mary’s ears perked and she glanced at (Y/n) through her periphery.
“Well,” (Y/n) rubbed the back of her neck, “I guess I’d like someone who doesn’t leave the people that care about them behind. Someone loyal.”
Mary wasn’t completely aware of it, but her heart skipped a beat. A small, almost victorious-looking smile appeared on her face.
The chat session wrapped up soon after Yukimi’s introduction and the two groups parted ways momentarily for the group discussion period.
“So, about the rules…” Mary began once they were in their own little corner of the room, “A wager wasn’t mentioned, so how does that work exactly?”
“It was on the entry form, didn’t you read it?” Chitose asked.
“We got a separate invite.” Mary explained.
“Ah, well, it’s a million yen per bet.”
The group stiffened. A million yen?! For speed dating?! Aoi was throwing them out to the deep end with this gamble.
“We’ll have to use the dine out discount.” Yukimi said after doing a bit of quick mental math. “It’ll be just enough to cover the cost.”
“What if we just went straight for the sleepover?” Tsuzura asked much too casually.
“Huh?!?!”
“Tsuzura?!”
“What?!”
“It’ll help us save money, right? And if we’re all in the same room, won’t that be super fun?” She gushed, “I haven’t had a sleepover since elementary school!”
“Are you for real right now?” Mary sighed, resting her face against her open palm.
“Oh my sweet summer child…” (Y/n) said sympathetically, not really wanting to burst Tsuzura’s bubble.
Yukimi couldn’t sit by and let the poor girl live in ignorance and whispered what the wager would really mean. (Y/n) and Mary watched in real time as Tsuzura’s face morph from cheerful to frazzled embarrassment in a matter of seconds.
“She really had no idea, huh?” Mary shook her head.
“Poor girl.” (Y/n) concurred.
“Anyway…” Mary cleared her throat, “I think it’ll be in our best interest to avoid making couples in order to make the most money we can. So that means we should all pick different guys to keep the matches down to a minimum. We can do a random draw to decide who “confesses” to who, but I think it’ll be best to make sure Tsuzura doesn’t get matched with Musubi.”
“Yeah, he definitely has a thing for her.” Yukimi chuckled awkwardly while (Y/n) was still trying to calm the girl down after the whole “sleepover” misunderstanding.
“Any other ideas?” Mary asked.
Chitose eagerly rose her hand, hoping to be paired with Kuonji and getting all blush and lovestruck just thinking about the prospect.
Mary shared a look with (Y/n) who shrugged her shoulders.
“Uh… yeah, sure.” Mary jolted the note down and then turned the paper around, showing how the “confessions” should work out. “Anyone got a problem with this set-up?”
“Nope.” The rest agreed.
As they began walking back to their table, Mary pinched the fabric of (Y/n)‘s jacket to keep her back.
“(Y/n),” she spoke in a low tone, “the two of us will switch confession targets.”
“Huh, why?”
“There is one flaw with this plan, that being spreading out like this could lead to trouble if there is a mole in our group.”
“A mole?” (Y/n) repeated in a harsh whisper. “You think someone could be working with the guys?”
“Exactly.”
“Then it would clearly be Chitose, wouldn’t it? Shouldn’t we let Tsuzura and Yuikimi-senpai in on the plan too?”
Mary shook her head, “I don’t trust Yuikimi-san yet and I don’t want to stress Tsuzura out.”
“I don’t think it’s necessary to exclude her. She can handle it.“ (Y/n) tried to dissuade.
“We can’t hesitate now. If we want to win, we have to consider every possibility.” Mary stuck to her guns, getting closer and resting a hand on the girl’s shoulder. “We’re going to come out on top, we’re going to be the winners! We’re going to show these rich bastards what for, right?” She gave her a confident smile that made (Y/n)’s heart speed up.
“Right!” (Y/n) nodded resolutely, matching Mary’s competitive smile.
“Then let’s win this so we can rub it in Aoi’s face.”
The duo rejoined their group and all circled their agreed upon targets on the submission forms, except for Mary and (Y/n) of course who switched their targets, making Mary’s target Kibashira and (Y/n)’s Sera. After everything was squared away, they all sat across the table from the boys, each offering up a dinning out bonus to meet the betting requirements. They each confessed to their targets and there was a bit of an upset when Yuikimi and Tsuzura heard that Mary and (Y/n) switched targets, but that was nothing compared to the upset that occurred when it was the boys’ turn to reciprocate or reject… that’s when things started to get messy.
One after the other, instead of falling through, the couplings were perfect matches. Though unfortunate, it was exactly what Mary had anticipated. What she hadn’t anticipated however, was for her and (Y/n)’s targets to match them as well.
“No…” (Y/n) sunk in her chair, joining Yuikimi and Tsuzura’s anxious expressions. “It’s impossible. Everyone?”
“Congratulations.” Mikura drawled, “Five couples have been formed.”
“Bullshit!” Mary stood, slamming her palms against the table, “This is all a fraud! We couldn’t have all coupled by chance! Even if one of us was tipping the guys off, (Y/n) and I switched to avoid just this scenario!” She yelled at Miruka. “You rigged it! Wouldn’t be the first time—“
“Is there a problem, Mary?”
Juraku Sachiko sidled up to the table, compelling Mary to grind her teeth together, eyes blazing with fury.
“Of course there is! You rigged this game!”
“Such baseless accusations.” Sachiko smirked. “We aren’t rigging anything. I can guarantee you that.”
“Do you really think I’d believe that!” Mary sneered.
In a second, Sachiko was looking over her with a devilish smile.
“Oh Mary, there is a far more simpler possibility, don’t you think? Surely you aren’t that incompetent?”
Another… possibility… Mary’s mind whirred with possibilities. The student council, Aoi and the Full Bloom Society… but then her eye caught (Y/n) helping Tsuzura dry her tears and her chest tightened.
No… was (Y/n) the traitor? Couldn’t be… they were fellow scholarship students united in their second class status to the high society high rollers, more than that, they were friends. They had triumphed and lost together time after time they always had each other’s backs. They had made plans to be winners, to be respected… but had those boys offered (Y/n) something better? Something so good that she would send Mary and the others floating down the river without blinking?
Her heart physically hurt, she had pegged (Y/n) as a honest person, someone to confide in. She was the only person she had trusted with this plan so logically… it had to be her. Mary clenched her fists. (Y/n) was the mole!
Meanwhile, (Y/n) was having her own similar crisis, believing that Mary had cut her own deal. Mary had left her behind… she wasn’t loyal at all! She could feel angry and disappointed tears stung at her own eyes, but she kept them at bay and continued tending to Tsuzura.
“Round two is fast approaching ladies, what will you do?” Sachiko smirked, tapping her chin. “You already blew the money Aoi gave you. If you don’t think of something quick, you’ll all be house pets.”
Mary paled. “But 2 million yen…” They didn’t have that kind of money just laying around… suddenly they were approached by someone in the crowd who introduced herself as Kurumi.
“I don’t mind spotting you all 200,000 yen, but as for the rest… if you bet on the sleepover that should cover it.” She smirked.
“That should work just fine.” Sachiko purred.
“Mary?” Tsuzura sniffled. “What should we do?”
(Y/n) looked a Mary with an impassive expression that further irked and pained Mary. Likewise, the hot fury Mary aimed (Y/n)’s way made her feel even more numb. Though divided, they shared the exact same thought.
Who were they supposed to believe in?
“Mary?” Tsuzura pulled Mary from her thoughts with a cautious calling of her name, “We’re doing round two, right? Applications are closing soon, so we should hurry.”
“I need a minute to think.” Mary murmured distantly.
“But we’re out of money, so we’ll have to join, right? I’ll sign us both up—“
“I told you to wait!” Mary yelled, causing Tsuzura to flinch.
“Hey, you can’t talk to her like that!” (Y/n) yelled back.
“As if you care about any of our feelings!” Mary hissed, striding closer to (Y/n) with a sneer, “how about you do me a favor and stop pretending that you’re on my side!”
“Oh, that’s really rich coming from you! You’re really going to keep up this charade until you believe it too? I hope your guilty conscious eats you alive!”
“Guys… what’s going on?” Tsuzura whimpered, not sure who to go to.
“I’m not joining the second round.” Mary coldly informed. “Don’t try to rely on me anymore.” She started to walk away, but (Y/n) called after her.
“That’s it? Now that we’re all in danger of being house pets, you’re going to walk away?” (Y/n) felt even more convinced of Mary’s betrayal now.
“I thought we were all going to be winners together.” Tsuzura said softly, clutching her hands to her chest.
“What will happen to our gambling room?” Yukimi added.
“Figure it out yourselves.”
“I can’t believe you!” (Y/n) spoke through gritted teeth.
“The Mary I know wouldn’t give up just because she thought a friend betrayed her.” Tsuzura sniffled. “You’re strong and dedicated and never give up. You always win in the end, so please, don’t give up!”
“Don’t waste your breath, Tsuzura.” (Y/n) wrapped an arm around her shoulders in an attempt to comfort her whilst glaring at Mary. “We can figure it out on our own. It’ll be easier without her betraying us.”
Something about the dead serious delivery and the pure disgust in (Y/n)’s eyes caused Mary to have an epiphany. Another possibility… she wasn’t committed to trusting them again just yet. As far as she was concerned, the only person she could trust was herself. That didn’t mean she couldn’t manipulate them to play the roles she needed them to play.
“Fine, I’ll play.”
“Mary!” Tsuzura looked relieved until Mary stared them down.
“I won’t lose just because one of you stabbed me in the back. I’ll teach you all a lesson you’ll never forget.”
“Right back at you!” (Y/n) shot back.
Mary ended up taking the lead of the group and left (Y/n) on the outs, though it didn’t seem she was letting anyone else in on everything she was planning either. As mad as (Y/n) was at Mary however, it still hurt when she lead the group away from her to discuss turn order and confession targets.
(Y/n) motioned Yuikimi and Tsuzura to join Mary and Chitose, assuring them that she’d be fine on her own. She trusted them to find a way to tell her if something went awry. She took a deep breath, and brainstormed her own course of action.
Before long, they were all seated at the table again, each offering up the sleepover option to cover their lost wagers. (Y/n) and Mary studiously ignored each other as the set up occurred, but when the last person was seated, Mary spoke up, leaning over so she could look at (Y/n) who sat on the other side of Tsuzura and Yukimi.
“Hey,” she said gruffly, “I just want to say, I don’t care what you do. Just know that we are going to be the winners, got it?”
(Y/n) wanted to say something snarky in return, but something about the way Mary’s inflection changed slightly when she said ‘we’ gave (Y/n) pause.
“Only one way to find out.” She grumbled. “Let’s get this over with.”
Chitose confessed first, matching with Sera. Then it was (Y/n)’s turn. Really it was a one in five shot that she picked wrong. She assumed Mary still wanted everyone to stick to one target to minimize matches. So if there was a mole, she shouldn’t have to worry about multiple guys targeting her.
“Here goes nothing,” she audibly exhaled, “I’ll confess to Musubi-san.”
The boys looked disappointed, but didn’t seem too heartbroken, like they expected it wouldn’t be likely that they would have a match with her, but then it was Yukimi’s turn and when she said she would be confessing to Kibashira, it caused an uproar as if they expected a different answer. Then Tsuzura upset the boy’s expectations even further by also confessing to Musubi. Then finally, it was Mary’s turn.
“Musubi-san,” she smirked, “you’re getting rather popular, huh? That makes me a little jealous because,” she presented her paper for all to see, “I picked you too.”
“There is only one successful coupling.” Miruka observed. “Congratulations, Sera-san and Inui-san.”
(Y/n) took a breath of relief and after a moment, Mary started snickering.
“You guys are so dumb, you know that?” She asked pointedly to the boys and Chitose. “I knew you were the mole, Inui-san. Once I took the time to actually think about it, it was the only thing that made sense.”
Sh got up from her seat and walked over to (Y/n), placing a hand on her shoulder.
“I should have realized right away. (Y/n) wouldn’t betray me like that and I owe her a big apology. I was being a narrow-minded idiot.”
“Mary…” (Y/n)’s hand moved to rest atop Mary’s, “I’m sorry too. You’ve never turned your back on us before, so why start now? We were both being dumb.”
“We were… but we managed to course correct and it’s thanks to these idiots,” she sweeps her hand over to the boys and Chitose still looking angry and shocked, “that we just made a damn fortune! Thanks sooo much!” She teased.
“Enough jeering.” Miruka sighed, “The second round has concluded. All arrangements of wagers will be dealt with promptly.”
Once everything was squared away, the four friends left the event hall, exhausted but satisfied that they had won out in the end.
“Hey guys…” Mary stopped walking, making the other three turn around, “I just wanted to apologize for how I acted today. I suspected you all in one way or another even though you guys have never given me a reason to doubt you in the past.” She bowed at the waist, “I’m really sorry.”
“Hey, it’s alright. I probably would have though the same thing.” Yukimi said.
“Mary!” Tsuzura hugged her, “I was so afraid! I thought you had given up on us!”
“It was pretty rough, but I think we’re a much stronger team now.” (Y/n) simpered.
“I promise I’ll never doubt you guys again.”
“Alright, give me some room, Tsuzura. I want in on this too.” (Y/n) worked her way into the hug, making Mary blush.
“Hey! What are you doing?”
“You never give out hugs. Have to take advantage when I can!” (Y/n) teased, hugging Mary tighter and enjoying every second of it. “Right, Tsuzura?”
“Mhm! Yukimi, come join!”
“Alright!” Yukimi joined in on the hug, making Mary more exasperated.
“Hey! You guys! Come on!” Mary flustered, “You guys?!”
***
The only sound was the clatter and clink of silverware.
Though they had won when it mattered most, they still owed the boys a dinner date. No one was particularly excited, but free food was free food to Mary and (Y/n).
“Alright, well, I’m full.” Mary stood once she finished her plate.
“Me too, thanks for the meal.” (Y/n) stood as well, followed shortly by Yukimi and Tsuzura.
Tired from the intense gamble the day before, it was pretty much a given that they would all go to their respective homes to rest and enjoy the rest of their weekend without any other obligations. (Y/n) and Mary waved goodbye to the others as their bus pulled away from the curb.
“Hey,” Mary spoke once the bus started rolling down the street, “want to see a movie or something?”
(Y/n) felt her heart flutter a bit. “Sounds fun. We should have asked Yukimi-senpai and Tsuzura if they wanted to come.”
“They can tag along another time. We don’t have to do everything together all the time.” She rolled her eyes and looked out the window. “So, what movie do you want to see?” She mumbled.
(Y/n) leaned her shoulder against Mary’s. “I don’t know,” she smiled, “we’ll have to see what’s playing when we get there.”

Homura answered my question about Kirari's spin-off. The original Japanese audio was very long, so I selected only the part where they answered Kirasaya and transcribed it using voice-to-text technology and used ChatGPT to translate it. Afterwords, to ensure better understanding, I also did some editing and added annotations. I hope you enjoy reading it.
Is it like saying you want to read a Kirari’s spin-off like Midari and Twin? Thank you very much. Kirari is great, right? You probably like the spiciness/ zing between the president and Sayaka, so if you do a Kirari spin-off, it's natural to come out at the end and you may have that kind of feeling. But when you think about it realistically, Kirari can't lose in the spin-off, right? That’s invincible in gambling. Writing about it wouldn't make much sense. So what to write? It might turn into a story where you just write about the lovey-dovey between Sayaka and Kirari. Indeed, it would be a difficult content to create.
Little by little, well, regarding Kirari to Sayaka, I have something to say.
In the spin-off novel that I wrote, I added their interactions with a sprinkle of trip and purification techniques, but particularly among women. (Note: It may refer to the scene where they washed each other's backs in the novel about hot springs)
I put my heart into it, of course, and thought about each characters, but I couldn't imagine what the president was thinking, so I couldn't grasp it. Well, I wrote a spin-off novel in which I put in a lot of Sayaka's interaction. Therefore, I thought about Sayaka and even put my heart into creating her lines. As a result, I became too emotionally invested in Sayaka and when she is involved in the main story, it becomes a bit painful. It's not that I don't want to see it, but it's just that my emotions while reading it become kind of...not unbearable, but sad. I don't like being tossed around so much, Kirari. Well, it's more like admiration for how difficult it is. Yeah, that's right.
How many other followers the president has. I say "followers," but there are probably many who are just not interested and cannot approach her. Do they love her? When you think about it, is Sayaka okay with just being there, considering other people's feelings? As a secretary, is it enough to just exist in that role? Well, I guess it's not easy to get noticed if your abilities aren't really high. Sayaka probably doesn't sleep much, and she's also studying. Oh, I remember something from a bonus novel I wrote. I think I described her as being really busy. No, she's definitely like that. I'm sure doing well in her studies, and she's the top in her club. In that case, it would be better for Sayaka to miss the perfect score. She probably arranges everything, like Kirari's lunch. That's definitely busy. If the president goes somewhere or has a meeting with someone, Sayaka will definitely follow her. As an assistant, she probably doesn't have much private time, right? So, if I were to categorize it, it would be interesting to do it from Sayaka's point of view. I might want to see it a little bit. If you want to read it, please contact Square Enix's Gangan Joker editorial department. So, that's about it for today, right?
Well then, instead of advertising, or rather as a way of promoting it, I just want to say that the way Kirari and Sayaka interpret 'this'. In the volume 6 of the main Kakegurui series called 'Tower of Doors' and this 'Perorin' thing. (Note: 'Perori' is an onomatopoeia expressing the sound of licking.) If you watch it, I think everyone who's interested has already seen Perorin. It was definitely shocking. As I mentioned before, it's Naomura-sensei ’s forest. (Note: Mr. Naomura is the illustrator of Kakegurui. I’m not sure about 'forest' It’s maybe referring to the field of lilies), so I was surprised too. It was like 'Pero' with a licking motion. It was quite the impact. There's also another 'Perorin', and even the second 'Perorin' seems to suggest something in the advertisement. But it might be too early. This is an advertisement saying that. Yes, that's right. Well, that's all for today. Thank you very much.

fake fic ask again :-P a fic called "as good at lying as i am" and/or a fic w the tags spies & espionage, complicated siblings, piano playing, and movie night <33 (& bc u rb'd that other post i will kiss u if u make either of them a rarepair <3)
teddy my darling, i am finally in bed (read: on my bsfs boyfriend’s couch) and have time to do your lovely prompts!!<3
so for ‘as good at lying as i am’ made me immediately think of bartyxjames somehow, with barty being the overall insane evil little genius and james being the charming crowd worker that makes himself so likeable when in truth he’s really opinionated with a mean streak because he is an arrogant, privileged little shit,, sO i’m hmm i’m thinking maybe it would be cool to do some fucked up psychological horror thing. which is not at all my expertise, very much the opposite but i’m thinking idk they’re probably playing some fucked up games where there’s a lot of money on the line or like maybe their own pride, body, life?? (kind of like in the anime kakegurui) maybe one of them ends up the other’s slave for like a few days and maybe barty gets to sever off one of james’ pinkies and maybe they play russian rollet while fucking nasty style :p
alternatively, this could be a very cute, mutual pining thing because while that was my first thought my second was that it kind of implies that the lying is bad? so we’d have to find us characters that aren’t as good at lying. which is a bit more difficult i think. so probably peter and mm lets make it one of the prewett twins. just a cute little crushes to lovers thing where gideon continuesly makes a fool of himself while peter is just flustered to the fucking max and everyone is sitting at the damn table, mouth agape because they r such idiots that can’t seem to figure it out *face palm*, but yeah they do eventually ^^
for the tags fic im gonna make it evan(s) because i’ve actually been dying to talk about something here! obviously we’re getting rosier twins and to make it complicated lets say pandora and evan were separated when they were around 10 and then also! i’m making james and lily adoptive siblings!! which is so !!!!!!!! like i absolutely adoore platonic jily (esp in edge) and it made me think why not make them family in some Au? also the whole piano and espionage gave me 1950s vibes for some reason and imagine them having a cute movie date in like one of the first proper movie theaters, soo cute!! but also i’m tempted to make it a whole modern day assasin thing yknow where they r hot and have a gun and a knife hidden in their popcorn thingys and neither make a move because they’re too enarmored by the other jdkksk and then for the piano i imagine lily walking onto a fresh crime scene alone and gun in hand, some old mansion and just blood Eveeerryyywhere and then there’s the sounds of a piano and it’s evan playing after he like slaughtered a whole family or something 😋😋 and then they have incredible sex on a blood soaked rug and lily’s cock is bigger than evan’s so he rides her stupid and cries idk
#yeah these have no plot like all vibes im so sorry dkskks#hope it still tickles the spot teddy! i will expect my kisses at midnight on the bridge over the water<3#jarty croucher#evan(s)#james potter#barty crouch jr#lily evans#evan rosier#fake fic game

I know that it's likely been a while but do you still remember what you had planned for that Kakegurui/Yugioh au? I would love to hear about it.
Woah it's been a hot minute since that crossover has been on mind! I'll share some of my plans without spoiling too much, since I still wanna get back to it sometime.
As of now the story mostly follows the plot of the original Kakegurui series, XX, and some elements from Twin with some changes here and there, since I still want to keep the yugioh characters somewhat true to their original personalities.
Now, for a quick rundown on some of the characters!
Muto Yugi and Shobami Yamiko are the protagonist and the deuteragonist, respectively. This is mostly shown by us (the audience) always being able to hear Yugi's inner monologue, but only hearing Yami's thoughts through Yugi, when it's clear they're doing their weird wordless language (kind of like Yobami and Inbami). The two of them are almost creepily close with each other, always groking the other's intentions to an unnerving degree. Is their relationship romantic? Platonic? Or some secret other option? No one really knows, including them! They're too busy hyperfixating on their next gambling match to think about that! The story basically follows Yami dragging Yugi down into an adrenaline driven crazy gambling addiction, but unlike with Yumeko and Ryota, it's going to happen a lot faster and it's not just gonna come out of nowhere in the last moment. For a bit more info and art on them, you can check out my original post here!
Now for our Saotome Meari stand in, Jonouchi Katsuya. Like Saotome, Jonouchi is very proud and essentially rules his class at one point. He originally came to the school for some quick cash to pay off his father's constantly increasing debt. There was a point in his life when he was forced to become a house pet in the service of a certain student council member for a week, but after successfully raising enough money to buy himself out under the span of three days, he became extremely popular as a self made gambling genius. Most people in school either respect or fear him, and despite not coming from a rich background like most other students, he has an unreal amount of influence over the student body. Or rather had. After Yami beat him and put him in debt with the council again, his resolve alongside his reputation has been dwindling. Right now, he's getting more desperate by the day to pay off his debt, desperate enough to ally himself with a housepet and the very man who put him in this situation to begin with.
And now, for the main rival, the student council president, Kaibami Seto. Honestly, you guys probably expected this, lol. This character will be wildly different from Momobami Kirari though, 'cause well, this is Kaiba we're talking about. He's not gonna have that careless, seductive, whimsy, murderous vibe Kirari has. He's gonna be equally intense as he is in yugioh, I literally can't imagine him in any other way. Throughout the story, Yami and his friends will work their way through each of the council members through gambling matches, like in the show, until they reach Kaibami. Kaibami is a lot more present than Kirari, but he's still elusive and very closed off. He finds it extremely annoying that his supposedly unbeatable and highly influential councilmen are falling like flies in Yami's way and he often takes it out on his poor office (true to Kakegurui I also made him more dramatic lol). Once him and Yami finally confront each other, they have a life or death outcome gambling match, but funnily enough Yami loses interest near the end of the game, because Kaibami has become predictable to him and he doesn't find their game exciting anymore or worth the stakes. Yami makes the proper moves to end the match in a draw and leaves Kaibami in the dust. Kaibami has the most dramatic meltdown of his life, and if he wasn't already obsessed with Yami enough, he swears vengeance and murder against him. Shortly after this word gets out to the Kaibami family of Seto's incompetence and unstability and the other clans send their spawns to the academy for a new student council election.
To be continued! Obviously, this is just an extremely simplified version of the story, and there are so many other characters I still want to introduce! Like the Bakura triplets, the council members, and the other clans, but most stuff dedicated to the au is still only in my brain unfortunately XD

Into Consideration
Pairing: aoi mibuomi x reader
Warning: Heartbreak, not proofread
A/n: I have not written for other fanbases for a while so I am trying to move into other corners of fanbases. I am not confident about this work so please give feedback.
What was the point of all this? Joining the student council in your second year was nothing like you thought! Most people on the council were expert gamblers and yet you wouldn't gamble even if a gun was held to your head. There was barely a difference to you, either way, you'd lose your life. You either die or become an animal! The council meeting was mostly about gambling and barely had anything to do with the school's welfare at all. Yet you were in love with a 'serial gambler'. He had money to throw away but his brilliance still shone through. How he captured your heart you didn't know, hell you've barely spoken to each other and you had nothing of interest to him.
When you were transferred to this school, you never thought it would be like this. Weren't good grades and business suggestions the main focus of rich kids? You sigh quietly not wanting to draw attention to yourself. Your dad had a massive boost in his business and considering your good grades and his funds, it only made sense for you to transfer schools! "Y/n, is there anything you'd like to add?" Sakura asked you causing everyone to advert their eyes to you. You had not spoken and frankly, you had not a care in the world about gambling. The act of wasting riches on the slim chance that you'd gain it back felt like an absolute waste. Who even kept giving them millions? They're in high school! "No", You say as you stare at the meeting sheet that was given to you earlier. "That concludes it!" Kirari says as everyone goes back to doing something else.
You glance over at Aoi and Sakura before getting up and leaving. You had no idea how many people were aware of your crush on Aoi. They were a council of gamblers so it'd make sense. The whole reason you clawed your way into the council without gambling was to get close to him. You'd rather spend your time chatting away with Mary than interact with the other council members. "He is in going to be in an arranged marriage with sakura", Yukimi's voice rung through your head. You had to stop yourself from breaking right then and there. It wasn't fair! It wasn't fair at all! You didn't have a chance! Sakura's family was one of the richest in japan and your family was merely scratching the surface of wealth. It would make sense that Aoi would marry Sakura. You didn't come with any benefits and you couldn't even gamble, why would he consider you suitable?
You walked to the literary club where you usually met up with the other girls, only to meet the object of your affections there himself. As you opened the door, all eyes focused on you. "Y/n? You're part of them as well? You said you didn't gamble?" Aoi asked confused on why you were anywhere near a gambling hall. "I am here to help them out, they're my friends after all", you said as you walked further inside the room to take a seat. "Really? Then please, help me persuade Mary into helping full bloom," He said causing you to cock your head to the side and close your eyes. Full bloom was a group you found out about through Sakura, she had accidentally slipped it to you while you confronted her about her weird behaviour. "Mary is a talented woman with a lot of skills we need! I'll treat her like a queen", he said causing you to open your eyes.
For the first time, the aura you were giving off was scary. You had someone else to be jealous of in addition to Sakura. "I guess it can't be helped", you say as you get up. Chasing him was just a waste of time, he would never look at you, he would never want you, not for power like Sakura and not for gambling like Mary. You walk towards the door and halt when you reach it. you look behind you and made eye contact with Aoi who was phased by the pressure your aura released in the room. "Don't do any permanent deals with Aoi for your good", you say before leaving the room. Maybe these feelings were just a waste. You of all people would never be taken into consideration when it came to his feelings.

You stared stunned at the table before you, cards strewn about and a large stack of gambling chips being pushed away from you in what felt like slow motion. You weren’t supposed to lose, oh god, how had it gone so incredibly wrong? You would have never agreed to this stupid game if it weren’t for the generous sum of money you’d been offered for you participation. Only you ended up with far less than what you started with. It would take a lifetime to pay off this debt, maybe even more. How could you be so stupid? The question repeating in your head on a broken loop.
“So Y/n, care to pay me what you owe?” Sachiko rose to her feet, chair scraping along the wooden floor. She leaned menacingly over the table, raising a perfectly sculpted brow, her sharp red eyes boring into your soul.”I-I can’t,” you stuttered out pitifully, shoulders sagging in defeat. “Well that’s too bad, I guess I’ll just have to find another way for you to repay me.” She hummed thoughtfully, a smirk tugging at the corner of her lips. You couldn’t meet her intimidating gaze, eyes glued to your lap as you ducked your head in embarrassment.
A metal chain clinked as it briefly swung past your line of sight, dangling before you in a taunting manner. “I believe you know what to do with this,” Sachiko said, skilfully swinging the chain around, swaying it dangerously close to your face. Sauntering forwards, her heels clacked on the floor with each step she took, eventually situating herself behind you. You stiffened as she rested her hands on your neck, looping the collar around it. “Will you be my personal pet?” She spoke lowly, tightening the collar, your throat constricting as you huffed out a breath of air. “You can’t say no,” she reminded with a chuckle, playfully tugging at the chain.
“Yes,” you gritted out reluctantly, hands clenching on your lap. “Good girl,” she purred, combing her hand through your hair. You scowled, nails digging into the palm of your hand as you held your tongue. “My good girl,” she growled, firmly tugging at your hair, tilting your head back, forcing you to meet her piercing gaze. “Look at me when I’m speaking to you,” Sachiko demanded, keeping her grip on your hair firm. “Yes, Juraku sama.” You muttered obediently, to which she grinned, releasing your hair. “From now on you’ll do as I say, no exceptions. Or else I’ll have to punish you, and you don’t want that, do you pretty girl?” She inquired, tilting her head to the side.
You shook your head, her words sending a chill down your spine. “Use your words, pet,” she tsked in disapproval, gripping your chin between her thumb and forefinger. “No, Juraku sama,” you uttered, sinking your teeth into your bottom lip. “It seems you have much to learn,” Sachiko clicked her tongue in annoyance. Her thumb caressed your lip, pulling it from between your teeth. “For starters, don’t bite your lips, they’re far too precious for that.” You nodded swiftly, before realising your mistake. “Yes, Juraku sama,” you were quick to correct. “Good girl, you’re getting the hang of things already.” You sighed in vexation, irritated by her mere presence, but the butterflies that swarmed to life in your stomach at her praise told a different story.
~~
You scribbled furiously onto your notebook, several plans of how you could get out of this debt. You’d surprised yourself with how far you were willing to go with these crazy solutions, but you had nothing to lose. Getting away from Juraku Sachiko was your only goal, and you’d do whatever it took to do it. Speak of the devil, “what are you doing, Y/n? It’s rather disruptive.” She questioned from her desk, head perched on her hand as she gazed at you in curiosity. “You’re the one who asked me to be here, I was happier in the library.” You snarked, glaring at her before focusing your attention back on the paper.
Sachiko chuckled at your words, amusement dancing in her eyes as she rose to her feet. “Now, that’s no way to speak to your master,” she warned, rounding her desk. She settled herself on the edge of the small table you worked at, eyes briefly skimming over the schemes your notebook contained. “My, you’re really considering doing such a thing? You keep surprising me, Y/n.” Sachiko smirked, reaching her hand out to toy with the chain that hung from your neck, courtesy of her. “I’ll do whatever I have to, as long as it gets me as far away from you as humanly possible,” you seethed at the giggle that slipped past her lips. Her forehead creased as she frowned, an expression of faux offence creeping onto her face.
“You wound me,” she placed a hand over her heart and leaned back as if she’d been struck. You watched her in annoyance, eyes narrowing as she winked at you. “Will you leave me alone? I thought you had work to do, I don’t even understand why I’m here.” You complained, fiddling with your pencil as you glanced down to your notebook. “You’re too pretty, it would be a waste not to have you here.” Sachiko said simply, tugging lightly at the chain as it shimmered in the light. “Stop,” you muttered under your breath, ducking your head as you felt heat rise to your cheeks.
“What? You don’t like it?” Sachiko asked, pulling the chain so you would be forced to look at her. “I-I…Of course I don’t,” you grumbled, crossing your arms over your chest defensively. “That’s too bad,” she hummed, tapping her fingertips on the chain thoughtfully. “Paint my nails,” she suddenly demanded, dragging you over to her desk like some dog on a leash. “Why?” You groaned in frustration, shoulders slumped as you stood by her side. “Isn’t it obvious? The polish is chipping,” she said simply, waving her fingers in front of your face. “Fine, what colour do you want?” You grit your teeth in displeasure.
“Same as always,” Sachiko said, lazily pointing her finger towards her desk drawer. You hesitantly opened it, greeted by a collection of expensive black nail polish. Carefully picking up the most recently used one, you held it up to her in questioning. “Black, like your heart,” you said smugly, earning a chuckle of amusement from her. Returning to your position by her side, beginning to unscrew the cap. Sachiko stopped you with a firm grip on your wrist, nonchalantly pointing to the floor. “What?” You questioned, eyebrows sewn together in confusion. She only raised a brow, cocking her head to the side as if it were obvious. “For someone who’s constantly reprimanding me for not using my words, you sure don’t seem to like them yourself.” You muttered in annoyance.
“On your knees,” she commanded, a mischievous glint in her eyes. “Seriously?!” You asked incredulously, eyes widened comically. “I can just stand, or even get a chair-” she merely held up a hand, your mouth instantly snapping shut. “Don’t make me say it again, pet,” she threatened, eyes darkening. You dropped to your knees immediately, gazing up at her obediently, paying no mind to the dull ache in your legs from the shear force that you landed with. “Good girl, I hope I won’t have to remind you again. Know your place, pet.” She said, sour expression plastered on her face, holding her hand out to you expectantly.
As long as you were her personal house pet, life was going to be hell.
~~
You observed the two players carefully, brows furrowed in thought as you tried to predict the outcome. The stakes were high, both players incredibly skilled, yet you were almost certain the gamble would end in Sachiko’s favour. She had that signature irritating cocky smirk plastered on her perfect face, a playful glint in her enticing red eyes. Her opponent was like you in many ways, fighting against an unstoppable force, sealing her fate as another one of Juraku Sachiko’s toys to play with to her heart's desire. It was pitiful, the hope she held in her eyes at the slim chance of winning such a tempting amount of money. She was your way out. If she was dumb enough to repeat your mistake, then maybe she could take your place and you would be forgotten.
You frowned at the thought, a feeling you couldn’t quite understand overwhelmed your senses. She would have all of Sachiko’s attention, giving you an opportunity to disappear. You could pass her the burden of having to stare at Sachiko’s perfectly sculpted features all day long per her request. She would spend every waking moment with Sachiko, always by her side and at her beckon call. She would relish in Sachiko’s praise and cower at her demands, obediently following her every word at the first sight of displeasure. She would have butterflies flutter to life inside her stomach when Sachiko threatened her with a punishment, hands gripped tightly around her neck.
You hated it. The mere thought drove you insane, imagining anyone but you with Juraku Sachiko, the one who had you wrapped around her finger. She didn’t even have to try, her naturally alluring features and commanding personality constantly filled your mind with thoughts of nothing but her. At first it was hatred, you were repulsed by her sadistic attitude, but after months of being by her side it became some twisted attachment you had formed for her. You craved her praise, and yet you had no quarrels with accepting any punishment she had prepared in times of disobedience. Acting out in hopes of your misbehaviour catching her attention. Anything to have her eyes on you, you and no one else.
“Y/n?” Sachiko called out, your eyes snapping to her as your thoughts faded. “Yes, Juraku sama.” You answered, tilting your head, eyes briefly sweeping over the many chips that lay scattered on the table. She simply ushered you towards her with a flick of her finger, beckoning you closer until your legs brushed against her arm. Uncrossing her legs, she pats her lap, watching in amusement as your eyes widen, gaze flickering around the room in caution. “Don’t make me say it, pet,” she glowered, patting her lap once more. Narrowing your eyes in a glare, you carefully sat yourself down on her lap.
Arms instantly snaked around your torso, swiftly pulling your back into her chest. “Hold these for me, will you Y/n?” She asked, handing you her cards. You did your best to remain stoic while giving them a once over. You were torn, while having Sachiko win would give you a chance at escaping her lethal grasp, having her lose would hold an unknown destiny for you. So you remain impartial, letting the game continue as you observed, allowing fate to take the reigns. Sachiko’s arms stayed possessively around you, one travelling upwards to toy with the collar on your neck, reminding everyone at the table just who you belonged to. Her other hand rested comfortably on your lap, fingers fiddling with the hem of your skirt.
A slap on your bare thigh jolted you back to reality, Sachiko’s hand now running up and down your thigh. “Pick a card, baby,” she urged, her chin perched on your shoulder, eyeing your expression carefully. “Any card?” You asked, hand shaking at the idea of sealing your own fate with one simple card. “Any card,” she assured, fingertips tracing nonsensical patterns along your leg, nails barely scraping your skin, leaving goosebumps in her wake. Sinking your teeth into your bottom lip, you hesitantly ran your finger over each card in your hand. “What did I tell you about biting your lip?” She growled in your ear, thumb roughly tugging your tortured lip free.
“Sorry,” you mumbled absentmindedly, eyes focused on the daunting choice you were faced with. “Come on, pet. We don’t have all day,” she groaned, hand, easily slipping under your skirt, trailing dangerously close to your panties. You snapped your legs shut in surprise, eyes wide in embarrassment as you glanced around the room, everyone's eyes on you. Sachiko clicked her tongue in annoyance, spreading your legs apart with a firm tug, nails digging into your skin. “Pick, now,” she demanded, your hand operating with a mind of its own, carelessly throwing a card down on the table. Her opponent gasped, staring down at the card in distress. “Juraku Sachiko wins,” the dealer announced monotonously.
A satisfied smirk quirked the corner of her lips, as she drummed her fingers on your thighs. “Pay up,” Sachiko ordered her opponent, not taking her eyes off you as she requested her earnings. “I can’t,” the familiar pitiful words slipped past her opponents lips, but you couldn’t find it in you to care. “I don’t give a damn, find a way. I have no use for you” she dismissed, uncaring as her opponent begged. “Next time, think before you look at what’s mine.” Sachiko said, your eyebrows furrowing in confusion. “Don’t tell me you didn’t notice, baby?” She tightened her grip around you, adjusting you in her lap so that you were half facing her. You could only tilt your head in confusion, “she was looking at you like she wanted to fuck you,” she grit her teeth.
Your head snapped towards her opponent, who looked to the floor in shame. “They all were,” Sachiko snarled, red eyes narrowing to glare at everyone in the room. “I bet you loved all the attention, didn’t you, pretty girl?” She squeezed your thigh, a scarily dark glint reflecting in her glowing red eyes. You shook your head in denial, shying away from all the eyes boring into you. Sachiko threaded her hand into your hair, forcefully pushing your head into the crook of her neck in a protective manner. Your cheeks were bright red with embarrassment, thankful that your face was hidden. “Everyone out!” She ordered, all of them scrambling to exit the room.
You kept your face tucked away in the crook of her neck, refusing to give her the satisfaction of seeing you blush. In retrospect, sitting on her lap with your face nuzzled into her neck wasn’t exactly any better. “Come on, baby. Show me that pretty face,” Sachiko mumbled into your ear, her warm breath tickling your skin. You whined in protest, but leaned your head back at the first sign of her beginning to tug at your hair. “God, you’re so adorable when you blush.” She groaned, taking your chin between her thumb and forefinger. “Don’t tease,” you muttered, shying away from her gaze.
“What happened to my feisty little pet, hm? One complement and you’re reduced to a blushing mess, huh?” Sachiko inquired, raising a perfectly sculpted brow in questioning. You only grumbled, a series of profanities flying past your lips as you glared at her, cheeks still burning red. “There she is,” she grinned, an uncharacteristically tender smile adoring her lips. As she gazed into your eyes, her red orbs danced with something unfamiliar, something unknown. It scared you, the way you began to get lost in her, the rest of the world fading away, for she was all you could focus on. “What?” You questioned when the silence became too loud to bear.
“Can’t I admire my pretty baby?” Sachiko asked, tilting her head to the side. “I don’t have the power to tell you what you can and can’t do,” you brushed her off, turning your head to the side in hopes of hiding the blush that spread across your cheeks. “You shouldn’t, but that hasn’t stopped you in the past,” she claimed, a smirk tugging at the corner of her glossy lips. “Such a bad pet, I thought I told you to look at me when I speak to you.” She tsked, tone holding a playful lilt as she pinched your thigh. Yelping in surprise, you faced her with a scowl plastered on your face. You attempted to slap her hands away, but she caught your wrist in her grasp.
“So pretty when you’re shy,” she mumbled, unconsciously reaching up to caress your flushed cheeks. Her gaze hungrily travelled the expanse of your body, taking her time to rake her eyes over your figure. “I want to know what makes you tick,” she muttered to herself, your eyes widening at the boldness of her statement, though you weren’t all too shocked. “What breaks you,” she trailed her fingertips from your jaw to your neck, nails scraping along your pulse point. “I want to see you fall apart,” she continued, eyes hazy as you squirmed on her lap, eyes darting around the room nervously.
Driven by curiosity, she surged forwards, as if hypnotised by some higher being. Her lips abruptly pressed to your neck, leaving smudges of pink gloss in her wake. Your hands found her shoulders, making a weak attempt to push her away. You gasped as her teeth scraped your collar bone, as she left sloppy open mouthed kisses around the collar she’d placed on you. “Juraku sama,” you whimpered as she experimentally sunk her teeth into your neck, hands curling into fists, crumpling her uniform. “Sachiko.” She growled, tongue gliding over your reddening skin. “Hmm?” You hummed in questioning, not trusting your voice to be stable enough for words.
“Call me Sachiko,” she demanded, teeth sinking into the sensitive skin of your neck once more. “But-” you began to protest, unsure if this was some form of twisted experiment she had conjured up in order to test your obedience. “I need to hear it,” she breathed out, her tone sounding far too desperate compared to anything you’d ever heard from her before. A beat of silence passed before she reattached her lips to your neck again, hands squeezing your thighs firmly, as if she needed something to ground herself, something to keep her from losing herself in you. “Sachiko,” you whimpered, her movements all coming to a halt as soon as her name breathlessly rolled off your tongue.
Your soft breaths echo around the dead silent room, chest heaving as you try to catch your breath. “Sachiko..?” You spoke softly, eyebrows sewn together in confusion at her sudden pause. The moment your sweet voice hit her ears, she jumped into action. Looping her arms around your thighs, she rose to her feet, stumbling towards the nearest door, pinning you against it with a thud. The wind was knocked from your lungs, whining as she crashed her lips into yours with a burning passion. The chain attached to your neck rattled as she pressed her body impossibly closer to yours, your hands draped lazily over her shoulders.
Your lips parted as her tongue darted out, urgently pushing its way into your mouth. Groaning as her thigh slipped between your legs, her tongue tangled with yours in a heated kiss. She let her hands wander up your skirt, groping your ass mercilessly, revelling in the sounds you made, swallowing them with her mouth. She bit down on your bottom lip, tugging it between her teeth before realising it with a smack. “I thought my lip was too pretty to be bitten,” you chuckled breathlessly, eyes hooded with lust. “Only I can touch you like this, not even you. Understand, pet?” Sachiko proclaimed, red orbs clouded desire.
“Whatever you say, Sachiko,” you gave in easily. “Good, don’t forget it. You’re mine only, pet,” she growled possessively, squeezing your ass harshly. You groaned at the sound of three sturdy knocks on the wooden door you were pressed against. “What do you want?” Sachiko called out, beyond irritated by the sudden interruption. “This room is booked for a gamble,” a muffled voice responded. “Fuck,” she groaned, reluctantly pulling away from you, hand reaching out to grasp your leash. Smoothing down her hair, she yanked open the door, piercing gaze burning into the poor soul on the other side.
He instantly cowered under her angry gaze, fearing what may come of her wrath. “Come on, pet. We have business to attend to,” she dragged you past him in hast, leaving you to stumble after her. “I don’t have time for pointless interruptions,” she snarked, the intruder bowing his head in shame as she sauntered past him with a flick of her hair. You ducked your head in embarrassment at the feeling of eyes all over you, suddenly hyper aware of the dark marks that littered your skin, lips swollen and smudged with pink gloss, skirt ruffled. “Don’t be shy, pretty girl. Now they know who you belong to,” she snarled, tugging harshly on your leash.
~~
Your shoes squeaked on the freshly waxed floors as you shuffled through the school’s corridor. The chain of your house pet tag rattled with each step you took, opposed to the usual collar you’d wear in Sachiko’s presence. The bell had long since rung, leaving the halls empty for you to wander through. Skipping even a single class was out of character for someone like yourself, but you needed the time to think to yourself. Everything in your life was set ablaze the moment Juraku Sachiko approached you with her stupidly attractive smirk and enticing offer. You hated her, no matter what she did you always would. So why is she always on your mind?
Huffing, you plopped yourself down on a nearby bench upon reaching the school’s well maintained garden. You groaned as the same image of Sachiko and her smug expression as her lips hovered over yours pushed its way to the top of your mind. Shaking your head, you blinked rapidly, running a hand through your hair in frustration. The sensation brings back yet another memory of Sachiko and how her hands combed through your hair, tugging on it. God, you were so screwed. “Why am I like this?” You whined aloud into the silence, a chuckle in the distance had you snapping your head up in alert.
“What are you doing out of class, mittens?” A voice sounded from behind you, as you suddenly jumped from your seat, spinning around in surprise. A large male approached you with a scary glint in his eyes, the school’s signature blazer slung over his shoulder. “Don’t you know skipping is against the rules?” He asked, edging dangerously close, towering over you easily. For each step he took forwards, you took one backwards. You didn’t respond, eyes darting around in a desperate search for escape, but to no avail. There was no one in sight, and even if there was, you doubt they’d help a house pet.
Your shoes scuffed along the stone pebbles as you stumbled away from him, becoming acutely aware of the sound of flowing water behind you. “Perhaps you deserve a punishment,” he hummed in contemplation, a crazed look in his eye as he cornered you against the edge of a fountain. “But don't worry,” he grinned maniacally, caressing your cheek with the rough palm of his hand. “I promise I won’t hurt you, not too badly at least.” He said, hand running through your hair before he grabbed the back of your head, forcefully dunking your head into the ice cold water.
You squirmed in his hold, trying to scream out, only to inhale the fountain water. It seeped into your lungs as you began to flail around frantically, soaking the top half of your uniform. Vision began to blur, head feeling fuzzy as your eyes began to flutter shut. Suddenly, you were pulled out of the freezing water, the force throwing you to the ground. You cried out in pain as your knees scraped along the gravel, coughing and spluttering as you tried to catch your breath. “That’ll teach you,” he scoffed, stuffing his hands into his pockets as he walked towards your cowering figure. “What’s going on here?” A calm voice asked, but you didn’t have the energy to look up.
“A-ah, it’s nothing,” your assailant stuttered, clearly intimidated by this mysterious person. Miharutaki Sakura took one look at him before scowling, dismissing him with the wave of her hand. He stumbled away in fear, her intimidating presence and status frightening anyone in her vicinity. “Are you okay?” She asked without sparing you a glance, eyes following your attacker until he was out of view. “I-I’m fine, thank you,” you said, sniffling and shivering, your dripping wet blazer sticking to your skin. “Come with me,” she ordered, turning on her heel without another word. Sighing, you scrambled to catch up with her, quivering as you walked, water droplets falling to the floor with each step you took.
“Take that off,” Sakura ordered, briefly glancing at your soaked blazer. You wordlessly followed her command, watching with curiosity as she took it from your grasp, tossing it into one of the school’s bins with what seemed like practised ease. “That too,” she ordered, pointing to your white button up shirt. “W-What?” You questioned, eyes wide as you glanced down to your now translucent shirt. “Do it,” she instructed, holding her hand out impatiently. “N-not here,” you glanced around the halls, few people lingered, but it was enough to make you uncomfortable. “Right, sorry,” she coughed awkwardly, momentarily forgetting how odd that may have sounded.
“You’ll get sick if you don’t. I’ll take you to my office, there's no one else there,” she assured, hand barely brushing against you back as she swiftly ushered you away from the corridors. Once safely escorted to her office, you hesitantly began unbuttoning your shirt, shying away from Sakura’s gaze. Blushing furiously, she quickly looked away, biting back the timid smile that threatened to break out on her face. Once you were no longer in your soaked clothes, besides your bra and skirt in order to hold onto the little dignity you had left. The feeling of a much drier blazer being gently draped over your shoulders startled you.
“I’ll arrange for a new uniform to be delivered to you before tomorrow, in the meantime I suggest you stay here with me. It would be unwise to attend the rest of your classes in such a state,” Sakura reasoned, a smile adoring her lips as you nodded eagerly at her words. “Thank you so much, Miharutaki san,” you said gratefully, eyes full of sincerity as you grasped her arm. “Y-You’re welcome,” she said stiffly, cheeks tinted pink. You began to chat comfortably with her as the time passed, both of you easing up, forming a rather unlikely friendship. She treated the wounds on your legs, leaning down to take a closer look as she applied the disinfectant.
The door to her office abruptly slammed open, both of you jumping to your feet in shock. “Where is she?” Sachiko inquired before she could fully enter the room, eyes landing on you and Sakura. You could swear when you saw her eyes flicker between the two of you, her red eyes narrowed for the briefest of moments. “My, what happened to you, Y/n?” She asked upon taking in your appearance, sauntering towards you. “I found her by the fountain, some lowly scum thought he could have his way with her.” Sakura informed, rolling her eyes in annoyance at the mere thought. Sachiko’s gaze hardened, hand reaching out to grasp your arm in a firm grip.
“Thank you for accompanying her Sakura, but we’ll be on our way now.” Sachiko said, tugging you away from your saviour. “Goodbye, Y/n. I’ll see you around, don’t forget you’re always welcome here,” Sakura said, waving you off with a hint of a smirk ghosting her lips. Sachiko’s grip on your arm tightened as she pulled you out of the room, dragging you to her own office. “New blazer?” She asked upon reaching her doors, closing them behind her rather roughly. You hummed in response, gasping as she pushed you up against the door. “I don’t like it,” she scowled, tugging on the red fabric.
“Would you prefer it if I walked around the school in a bra?” You asked, rolling your eyes as her gaze travelled down to your chest, a smirk creeping onto her face. “You know I would, darling. Don’t ask such silly questions,” she smirked, shaking her head. “You’d let everyone see me in a skirt and bra? Wow, I’m shocked,” you teased, unable to suppress the giggle that threatened to slip past your lips. “I guess I’d just have to mark you all over, make sure they know not to touch what’s not theirs.” Sachiko growled, tearing the blazer off you, buttons popping off. “Sachiko!” You shouted, bewildered.
“What?” She grinned, pressing a kiss dangerously close to your exposed chest. “That’s Miharutaki san’s! I can’t afford to replace it,” you groaned, but Sachiko paid you no mind, continuing to press lingering kisses to your skin, lighting it ablaze with her lips. “So? Tell her you lost it,” she said simply, shrugging her shoulders. Whining, you pushed her away from you, crossing your arms over your chest. “Since you seem to have a solution for everything, what do you suggest I wear since you just ruined the only clothes I had left?” You questioned, unimpressed by the grin that spread across her face.
“You’ll wear mine of course!” She smirked, removing your hands from your chest and pinning them above your head, mischievous glint shining in her red eyes. Huffing, you rolled your eyes, gasping as she bit down on your bra strap, pulling it back between her teeth before releasing it, letting it snap against your skin. Her mouth instantly returns to your neck, teeth sinking into your weak point. Whimpering, you tilted your head back, giving her free access to mark your skin at her leisure. “Did you really think I’d let my pet walk around in someone else’s clothes?” Sachiko whispered against your neck, breath tickling your skin.
~~
“Do you know why you’re my personal house pet, Y/n?” Sachiko’s voice bounced off the walls of her office, your head slowly lifting to meet her gaze, curiosity present in your eyes. “I never know why you do what you do,” you responded, shrugging your shoulders. She hummed at your words, leaning back in her chair and crossing her legs. “So, are you gonna tell me or not?” You questioned, confused by her silence. She lazily lifted her hand, ushering you over with a come hither motion. Huffing, you reluctantly waltzed towards her, stopping just short of her chair. She tapped her lap rather impatiently, but you only shook your head in refusal.
“Not until you tell me,” you refused, seeing the look in her eyes begin to change. “What makes you think you have a say in this matter?” She raised her brows, clearly amused by your disobedience. Crossing her arms over her chest, she remained silent, waiting for you to give in under her predatory gaze. “How about I tell you after you come and sit like a good girl,” she bargained, feeling playful. Rebelling against her, you hopped onto her desk, eyes dancing with mischief. “Feeling defiant, are we?” Sachiko leaned forwards, perching her chin on the palm of her hand as she glanced at you.
“Don’t act like you don’t like it,” you smirked, a sudden burst of confidence overcoming you. You sighed in boredom, your legs swinging where they dangled from her desk. “All this waiting is making me bored, maybe I should go and find someone else to entertain me,” you said, teasing glint in your eyes. “Perhaps, Miharutaki san would be interested. I heard she’s newly single too,” you hummed in thought, grinning as Sachiko practically jumped to her feet, a feral growl leaving her lips. She lodged herself between your parted thighs, her palms lay flat on the desk by your sides. You looped your arms around her neck, smiling innocently at the sharp glare she sent your way.
“What’s wrong, Juraku sama?” You asked, a look of faux concern plastered on your face. “Watch it, pet. Know your place,” she snarled, face hovering mere inches from yours. “Don’t play with me, that’s my job, not yours.” She warned, breath fanning across your lips from the close proximity. “God you’re insufferable, lucky you’re so goddamn irresistible, pretty thing.” She muttered, lips barely brushing against yours, her eyes briefly fluttering shut. “You talk too much,” you mumbled, kissing her before she could dismiss your words. You groaned as she kissed back with much more intensity, already taking back any bit of control she may have lost.
Pushing her back by her shoulders, you chuckled at the way she gazed at you with half closed, lust filled eyes. “You’re getting soft, Sachiko,” you said, giggling as she scowled, pulling you back in for a desperate kiss. “You’re different, Y/n,” Sachiko muttered against your lips. “I want to be the reason you fall apart,” she admitted between kisses. “But not in the way I do others,” she confessed, those words in particular catching your attention amongst the many you’d heard before. This was new. “I want to ruin you,” she whispered, her tongue darting out to swipe across your lip. A hand trailed up your arm, halting at the base of your neck.
“I need to be the only one who can break you,” she murmured, tone far different from what you had grown accustomed to. Her grip on your neck tightening, nails digging into your skin, leaving crescents in her wake. You pulled back to catch your breath, eyes locked with hers in an intense stare as your chest rose and fell. “B-But then I want to tend to you,” she breathed out, her nose brushing against yours. “I don’t want to leave you broken and longing, I can’t. It simply won’t suffice,” Sachiko shook her head, hands travelling to grasp your hips firmly, a whimper falling from your parted lips. “I want you by my side, pet,” she said, “I just can’t get enough of you, pretty thing.” Her nails dug into your blazer, sharp red eyes boring into your soul. “I want to do it over and over again,” she crashed her lips into yours.

how can ririsaya win when Kirasaya have vibes like this
Kirari: I have a prettier signature than yours
Sayaka: you're daydreaming *sign down*
Kirari: I obviously do *sign down too*
Sayaka: Isn't it marriage certificate written on this sheet?
Kirari: ...
Kirari: how distracted I am lmao
A little known fact about me is that I’m a writer, not a bettor, so winning isn’t really relevant to what I do
#kakegurui#ririsaya#kirasaya#I mean this in the nicest way possible but I felt like I was having a stroke while reading this#also Ririka would win#I headcanon both of the twins as having an incredible amount of repressed anger inside#but for a number of reasons Kirari is forced to hide it perfectly no matter what#I just imagine Ririka snapping for good and straight out throwing hands#not very canon compliant or belivable but I do think it very funny#I know this is not what you meant#I just don’t care for shipping outside of what I write for it#in other words don’t come to me with this sort of stuff#sintreatiesreplies#anon

ok hear me out i hate unhealthy relationships and i love healthy yumary - but imagine them with a villaneve dynamic
Yumeko falling in love for the fact that Mary loves gambling and likes to see her getting "crazier" every time. "Gambling is just so fun" as "I finally enjoy gambling with you even though it's not a good thing"
this panel omgg Mary looks so ... dedicated here
and you can tell yumeko loves it
* do not misinterpret this post. If u really think at this point that Yumeko ruined Mary then you are just stupid. Mary was already ruined since Kakegurui twin because of mainly Kirari's fault and Aoi's sister? cousin?
Also gambling isn't something bad in kakegurui, Mary learning to enjoy gambling thanks to Yumeko and getting her joy again its super important to her character and her goal of becoming president. This is just an AU

mid effort hot takes on the summer anime of 2022 that I watched this summer
Bucchigire
Took a chance on this one, didn't really pan out but oh well. It's far too generically shounen, especially in the way the main character and especially the main antagonists are the worst parts of it. There's really only one aspect that consistently delivers and it's the spicy Akira/Kogurou romance (a vanishingly tiny part of the show). Apart from that, it's not terrible but not good either. 5/10
Kakegurui Twin
Kakegurui S2 already wasn't very solid and Twin is not righting the ship. It's still technically Kakegurui nonsense, which makes it mildly entertaining, but it's lacking the special something that made S1 so exciting. Heavyhanded color correction also makes it remarkably ugly for no reason I can determine. 6/10
Extreme Hearts
This one is probably nobody's favorite show but it does have a few ideas that make it stand out from the crowd, such as the bizarre concept, the idea of padding out a 5 member plot with literal bots and some of the rivals. But on the other hand, it still is a very basic idol show with not particularly memorable characters and low production values. An attempt was made. 6/10
lmao of the Arsnotoria
This is an extremely weird one. At its core it's a competent but only slightly above average cute girls doing cute things in a cute setting. It's decent at it but that's it. However, it also randomly cuts to edgy dudes doing edgy things sometimes, with a vague implication that this may eventually matter. Well joke's on you, because the whole thing ends up feeling mostly like a prank. So while this does absolutely not deliver on the one real hook it has, it refuses to deliver to a degree that it's hilarious. Thankfully it's just good enough for the whole thing not feeling like a waste of time anyway, but again: it really is a mostly content-free cutefest that occasionally cuts to the most chuuni edgelords imaginable decapitating people and talking about Australia(?) for no apparent reason, and then right back to talk about cake or whatever. It's kinda amazing, but also not. 6/10
Chimimo
Chimimo is another very basic show in that it's a cutesy slice of life comedy with a mild twist. It's pretty well made and has no real weaknesses, but it's also not really punching above its weight and the strengths are rare. Entertaining, but hardly more. 6/10
Gooberploink Edgelords
Now here's a big one, and right off the bat I have to say that I can't be entirely contrarian this time. It's not as great as people think, because there's fairly severe problems: it's 90% clichees (if something isn't a cyberpunk clichee it's probably an anime clichee instead), the pacing is off (it starts annoyingly slow and ends in a dumb, ridiculously overblown yet still anticlimactic boss fight), the characters are somewhat lacking (they're not bad per se, but also not nearly fleshed out enough to provide the depth that the script seems to be aiming for), and Imaishi's penchant for comedic ultraviolence occasionally undermines any attempt at seriousness anyway. But I'd still take a bunch of clichees halfway competently strung together over whatever the fuck TRIGGER writing usually is (apart from the Gridmens, which are definitely better written than this). And writing aside, it's fun; Imaishi's thing is great in small doses and this script affords to let him go wild just about exactly the right amount. It always looks cool and occasionally super cool. So yeah, had a good time but don't believe the hype. 7/10
Summertime Render
I have a weird relationship with Summertime Render, because it definitely adheres to the shounen school of "no idiot left behind" writing. Half of every episode is basically exposition, with graphs and numbers and similes that really destroy any mysticism this show might have (and it's almost always the first half, which looks to me like an attempt of the scriptwriter to leave each episode off with a positive impression - which actually works!). I'd say those parts are pointless for about the first half where the plot is very simplistic, but then the second half hits and things get excessively convoluted. In a way, then two weaknesses cancel each other out: There's an absurd number of complicated twists but they're silly and not worth picking apart logically, so it's a plus that you can just take the show's word for it because it makes damn sure to provide it. So that's the bad parts but apart from that, it's actually surprisingly good. The first half has a solid, Twin Peaks-esque mystery vibe and while the second half devolves into complete schlock, it's very entertaining schlock. Also, it not only has an ending, but a well-paced, satisfying one at that - which is surprising given the nature of it (yes, it's exactly what you'd assume it is three episodes in). 7/10
Shadows Haus S2
I really liked Shadows House S1 almost despite itself, and S2 removes a lot of the problems such as the entire middle bit being a very contrived quest arc. S2 also has a lot better defined characters, and a ton more of them to boot. However, since we now know a lot more about what's going on, it's also significantly less creepy than S1, and that was really the best part about it. S2 is almost a different kind of show, more of an outright character drama. So while it's an improvement in almost all ways, I don't consider it significantly more enjoyable all in all. Which is completely fine, because it was plenty enjoyable to begin with. 7/10
Love Live Superstar S2
Similarly, Superstar S2 is just Superstar S1 but better. Since Superstar S1 was already arguably the best Love Live yet, that makes it pretty damn good. The two-stage group building really pays off here, because the character introduction arcs are historically the best part of any Love Live and this way they take up the vast majority of the show. And the new characters are great: Kinako is very cute, Natsumi is delightfully trashy and Mei and Shiki are the gayest thing to come out of this already exceedingly loaded franchise. They do try to ruin it again in the end (also a tradition at this point) with a drama arc that goes precisely nowhere, but the prompt promise of an S3 softens this blow enough to it still coming out on top of the Love Live heap rather easily. 8/10
Made in Abyss S2
I actually like Made in Abyss enough to read the manga, so I knew what this arc was going to be from the start. And, with that knowledge, I expected it to be very sketchy because the pacing is completely shot in the source material. Surprisingly though, the anime tweaks just a few things, brings out the strengths more and generally smoothens things out to a degree that it can easily hold its own compared to the first season and the movie. That's not to say the pacing is entirely fixed, especially the ending drags considerably (it definitely didn't require a double length final episode, for starters), and it also can't fix the main problem with the entire arc, in that it ultimately doesn't have a whole lot to do with the main narrative of Riko and crew. Some minor bits aside, it very much feels like a side story, and maybe it would have been a better fit as one. On the other hand, said side story (the backstory of Iruburu Village) on its own is fantastic. If you're this far in, it's not a spoiler that Made in Abyss is, despite appearances, an excessively grim horror story. However, this arc for the first time manages to fully make the grimness work on a thematic level. This is especially true compared to the movie, which, while certainly impressive, really was just a supervillain twirling his moustache past the point of ridiculousness. THIS arc, however, is legitimately a grand tragedy, one with the full impact (and grodiness) of an ancient creation myth followed by a matching apocalypse. Oh yeah, and the author's still a weird pervert. But he gets results. 8/10
