'What have you been up to lately, Bunny?' you ask, 'have you been writing a lot?'
No, sweet blog reader I have not. What I have been doing is making pixelated gay people who fell in love in one video game fall in love in another video game. Namely, The Sims 4. For SO MANY HOURS. Let me tell you all about it.
So obviously I have the boys, Ryan and Dylan, plus their best friend and roommate Kaitlyn, and their cat, Schrödinger.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kaitlyn and Schrödinger have a very... special relationship.
Kaitlyn's a C-lister learning the entertainment industry, but her secret dream is to be a street performer. Dylan works in tech and Ryan is a painter. They all cook together and the cat helps by phasing into the cabinet somehow. Kaitlyn has somehow broken more stereos than any person ever to live, but luckily Dylan is really good with that sort of thing (and sinks, and showers, and toilets, and refrigerators...).
Tumblr media
I keep wanting to call Dylan and Ryan boyfriends but they're actually fiancés, ever since Ryan accidentally made a flirty comment to a bartender at Hazakura Lounge in Wakaba and Dylan got a 12 hour sad mood about it (intensely in character, honestly). Ryan then sort of panic-proposed when he was trying to cheer Dylan up (also in character IMO). Maybe not the most romantic story, but, hey, they've been madly in love since that whole werewolf debacle, it's not like it wouldn't have happened eventually.
Sometimes they kiss in this game like they did in that other game (without actually touching). Oh well, at least it looks cute in the mirror.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They don't really seem like big wedding guys to me (and weddings are perpetually broken in The Sims 4 anyway) so they'll probably just elope at some point, but I thought I'd send them on a little getaway to the gayest place in The Sims universe, Sylvan Glade! Used the 'build anywhere' cheat to place some amenities so they could camp there, undisturbed, for a few days (people keep trying to talk to them on dates other places and Ryan, with his Lone Wolf trait, really does not like strangers).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Started out with a nice campfire, feeling a little familiar...
Then things got a bit...
Tumblr media
... heated.
Tumblr media
Um. Anyway...
Tumblr media
Definitely no funny business happening here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While they were gone, Kaitlyn worked on her miming hobby. Just kidding, she's playing with a lump of clay that our weird neighbor Constance left at our house. The clay was just temporarily invisible for some reason. This game is very stable. She made a clay bunny for the house in honor of me, their benevolent deity! :3
Tumblr media
Dylan and Ryan kept living their best gay lives by the rainbow waterfall, with their hot pink canopy bed (doesn't everyone take one of those when they go camping?). They had a couple of cookouts, did some fishing, did some... other stuff... and took these photos.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seems like it was a success to me. :3 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈
There's a bunch of CC on these guys but the MVP by far is Dylan's perfect piece-y swoop hair, which is Quentin by JohnnySims. I keep forgetting to download a proper wolf tattoo for Dylan but I will get around to that eventually.

Julia Roberts and George Clooney Sizzle in Ticket to Paradise
With A-listers like George Clooney and Julia Roberts onboard Ticket to Paradise will make you want to fall in love all over again #tickettoparadise #universalpictures
When pondering the reunited star power of Julia Roberts and George Clooney, one can’t help but giggle with glee!  The ease in which they embrace comedy and drama in one fell swoop is a sight that never gets old – especially in their latest flick Ticket to Paradise. After their daughter Lily (Kaitlyn Dever) graduates college, she set off with bestie Wren (Billie Lourd) for a little rest and…

I hate the Dear Evan Hansen movie already.
I know we don’t have a lot to go off of, but the casting and several mentioned changes are enough to question the intentions of Pasek and Paul and the other producers, writers, and directors involved.
Of course Pasek and Paul aren’t the main heads of this project, but considering their past successes with La La Land and The Greatest Showman and even an Oscar nod(s), it feels like they’re trying to create a new Oscar worthy blockbuster that fits the norms of mainstream media more than the needs of the audience and the integrity of the story.
So, let’s talk about the cast.
Ben Platt. Too old. I’m sorry, but he’s beyond playing a high schooler and compared to the rest of the cast, he’s just not a convincing teenager.
Amy Adams. Incredibly talented both in acting and singing. She has a wide array of titles, more recently working in drama and thriller. She is too cool to play Cynthia. She would, however, be great as Heidi.
Amandla Stenberg. The It-Girl. She is amazingly talented, but why does Hollywood result to only ever booking specific young Black actresses? Zendaya and Amandla are always the first to be chosen for a “racially diverse” female character.
Kaitlyn Dever. No thoughts. I haven’t seen Booksmart. Just seems like another It-Girl choice with the success of that movie.
Nik Dodani and Colton Ryan are the only ones I am looking forward to. Nik will be a great Jared and it’s wonderful we have a POC in that role. Colton will be a fantastic Connor and hopefully this will boost his career more as he was just kind of an “understudy” on Broadway and most DEH fans ignored him. (Also, Kleinphy rights, lmao.)
Now, let’s talk about Danny Pino...
I won’t be commenting on him as an actor, rather I will talk about a rather big change to the role of Larry Murphy.
Larry Murphy is now Connor and Zoe’s stepfather.
This may seem small, but it’s a change that entirely changes the dynamic of Larry with the Murphy family, especially Larry and Connor’s relationship.
Larry and Connor’s relationship is often overlooked because a lot of the fandom tends to ignore or vilify Larry. He’s the tired father that doesn’t understand the changes in his life, so he approaches them with anger and frustration. He watches his own son spiral into a severe depression and eventually take his life. The whole time, he was just as lost as Connor, not knowing what to do for his son and only ever using discipline to handle him. He comes off cold and stoic, but eventually breaks from the reality of his loss.
A stepfather can absolutely have this relationship with his stepson, however it automatically changes the dynamic of Larry and Connor. Considering how Hollywood handles mixed families, Larry being Connor’s stepfather is no doubt going to turn into a case of “Ergh! I hate my stepfather!”
On top of that, while Evan and Connor are reflections of each other, their families are supposed to differ in dynamic with the Murphys being a traditional “Nuclear Family” that appear perfect to everyone outside of them, while Evan’s family is broken and estranged. Connor feels isolated because he feel he doesn’t fit the forced perfection of his family. Evan feels isolated because he feels he’s invisible to his own parents. Larry now being the stepfather destroys that contrast and erases the very important difference in Evan and Connor’s lives as highlighted in songs like “To Break in a Glove” and “Words Fail.” Evan wants to be a part of a family that hasn’t been torn apart at one point.
We also need to look into the intention of changing Larry to the stepfather. The article breaking the news boasted of Dear Evan Hansen’s diverse cast. Not a bad thing at all and something I look forward to, but right off the bat it comes across as “we’re rewriting this character for the sake of diversity rather than the integrity of the story.”
Why does Larry need to be rewritten as a stepfather to accommodate a white passing Latino actor when they could have casted Latinx actors for Connor and Zoe and made the Murphy family biracial?
Why are the only POC cast members always the side characters in the plot?
Pasek and Paul do not have the best history of diversity in either their movies or their musicals, so this casting and rewriting of the story just feels like pandering. You can have a diverse cast without having to jump through hoops rewriting the story and the characters.
Yes, this character is Larry Murphy.
But he’s not Larry Murphy.
Changing Larry Murphy to a stepfather automatically changes his character. It changes his agency, his motives, his personality. He will not be the Larry we know from the musical or the book no matter how close they write him because now he just the stepfather. Just as the characters from Be More Chill were changed from the book to the musical, their motives, personalities, identities, looks, and so much more changed with them. Changing one important aspect of the character changes the whole character even if they share the same name.
Overall, this entire cast feels thrown together. All of these actors have differing background and catalogs of work. While it is important to break from typecasting and to branch out with actors and actor dynamics, this lineup feels like a hastily thrown together mix of A-Listers, It-Girls, TV actors, comedians, Broadway stars. You have a modern day Hollywood starlet, a cop show veteran, two recently popular It-Girls, a comedian, an understudy, and a Broadway household name all put together in a Hollywood musical.
The entire thing feels like it’s trying to be more of a teen “Coming of Age” blockbuster rather than a show about mental illness that is heartbreaking, both down to earth and anxiety inducing, and incredibly complex in nature.
I wish the casting directors and producers would have expanded their talent search and rather compiled this project with a softer and more under the radar approach, focusing on revising the story rather than changing it, casting upcoming and not yet established young actors, and not trying to push this seeming narrative of appealing to mainstream and “Academy” audiences.
Giving Dear Evan Hansen an extreme Hollywood A-List makeover only seems to take away from the rawness and the realness of the story.
So, think about it.
Are they going to do what is best for the story, or are they just cashing in on big names and pandering to mainstream audiences who just want another quirky teen movie?

'Knives Out' and 'Bombshell' Teams Talk Next Projects at Lionsgate Night-Before Fete
PARTY: Lionsgate
PLACE: Chateau Marmont
PLAYERS: Chris Evans, Charlize Theron, Rian Johnson, Jay Roach, Don Johnson, Taika Waititi, Jon Hamm, Alexander Skarsgaard, Toni Colette, Ram Bergman, Jon Lovett, Daniel Craig, Ana De Armas, Stellan Skarsgaard, Jack Huston, Paul Walter Hauser, Avi Lerner, Jon Feltheimer, Joe Drake, Michael Burns, John Fithian
SERVED: Beer-battered cauliflower with honey, mozzarella-filled arancini, fried chicken bites
INSIDE DISH: On the night before the Golden Globes, the teams from Lionsgate’s Bombshell and Knives Out gathered on the airy Chateau patio to toast their films.
Reflecting on Knives Out’s impressive stamina at the box office as the movie continues to build audience in its seventh week in theaters, Don Johnson joked that the mystery thriller was, “aging in reverse, like me.” Knives Out writer-director Rian Johnson and his partner, podcaster and author Karina Longworth had recently returned to LA after spending the holidays in St. Bart’s, where they serendipitously ran into Johnson’s Star Wars boss, Lucasfilm president Kathy Kennedy.
Johnson and his producing partner Ram Bergman talked about their plans for a follow-up to Knives Out, a new mystery built around Daniel Craig’s Southern private detective, Benoit Blanc. Johnson noted that his awards season highlight so far had been meeting Parasite director Bong Joon Ho, with whom he’s now exchanging emails.
Filmmaker bonding is one of the perks of season — Jojo Rabbit director Taika Waititi bounced into the party and made a beeline for Bombshell director Jay Roach, who was getting a warm and effusive greeting from actress-producer Colleen Camp. “I just love your movie!” Camp said, grabbing Roach’s arm. Roach talked about his next project as well, a series on the 1970 Kent State shootings he’s making with Tina Fey’s production company, citing parallels to HBO’s Chernobyl in that both stories are about tragedies that emerged from failed systems, and noting its unfortunate contemporary relevance amid the Hong Kong protests.
Roach’s Bombshell star and producer Charlize Theron was there, fresh from the Palm Springs Film Festival gala. Asked about Bombshell subject Gretchen Carlson’s new talk show for Blumhouse TV, Theron said, “I’ll be very interested to see it.” Lionsgate Motion Picture Group chairman Joe Drake was huddling with the filmmakers of his anticipated April movie, Antebellum, Gerard Bush and Christopher Renz, having returned from a family ski trip to Park City, Utah.
As the party, which had started at 8 p.m., wound past 10:30 p.m., the scent of weed began wafting through the air, Jon Hamm arrived and Evans, who had been quietly parked in the corner, ducked out. — Rebecca Keegan
Leonardo DiCaprio, Chris Evans Hold Court at Star-Studded W Magazine Party
PARTY: W Magazine's Best Performances issue party

PLACE: Chateau Marmont's penthouse

PLAYERS: Leonardo DiCaprio, Quentin Tarantino, Joaquin Phoenix, Adam Driver, Chris Evans, Laura Dern, Noah Baumbach, Antonio Banderas, Taika Waititi, Henry Winkler, Awkwafina, Ben Platt, Beanie Feldstein, Kaitlyn Dever, Joey King, Armie Hammer, Lakeith Stanfield, Natasha Lyonne, Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Jared Harris, Jodie Turner-Smith, Joshua Jackson, Margaret Qualley, Ana de Armas, Ellen Page, Rooney Mara, Dean-Charles Chapman, George MacKay, Keegan-Michael Key, Charlie Hunnam, Winston Duke, Josh O'Connor, Anna Paquin, Zoey Deutch, Sydney Sweeney, Molly Gordon, Craig Robinson.
SERVED: Tray-passed sliders, crab cakes, grilled cheese bites, tuna tartare cones and for dessert, mini donuts, along with indoor and outdoor Absolut Elyx Vodka cocktails that kept the party going.
INSIDE DISH: The annual party, held in conjunction with the magazine's Best Performances 2020 issue — which this year featured nine different A-listers from award season films — kicked off Golden Globes weekend with a bang, welcoming cover stars Joaquin Phoenix, Chris Evans, Laura Dern and Adam Driver into the penthouse of LA's iconic Chateau Marmont for a night of pre-show celebration. The party, hosted by new editor-in-chief Sara Moonves along with W's Lynn Hirschberg and YouTube's Derek Blasberg, featured an intimate indoor space lined with starry photos from the magazine, while outside on the Sunset Boulevard balcony was where the party really got started.
Phoenix and girlfriend Rooney Mara were among the very first to arrive, with Mara settling into the couches under heat lamps while Phoenix started a lively conversation with fellow early-arriver Quentin Tarantino. The Joker star mingled and stopped for photos before making an exit, while the Once Upon A Time in Hollywood director shared laughs with Antonio Banderas before making his own way out.
Chris Evans hopped from Hollywood circle to circle, first with Knives Out co-star Ana de Armas and taking photos with 1917 star George MacKay; Captain America himself then reappeared later in the night leading Taika Waititi into the party, before heading outside to share smokes (and hugs) with Armie Hammer, Lakeith Stanfield, Natasha Lyonne and Succession star Jeremy Strong.
The true star of the evening though, was Leonardo DiCaprio, who arrived in the last hour of the party and quickly was holding court in a corner of the deck, despite a low baseball cap that kept him somewhat hidden from the crowd. The A-lister kept close to girlfriend Camila Morrone, while also catching up with Waititi and Hammer and laughing on his phone with Blasberg. Queen and Slim's Jodie Turner-Smith also introduced herself to DiCaprio, accompanied by her new husband Joshua Jackson.
While there were numerous A-listers in attendance, Hollywood's fresh faces also came out to celebrate, with the casts of Booksmart (Beanie Feldstein, Kaitlyn Dever, Molly Gordon) and The Politician (Ben Platt, Zoey Deutch) posing for a stream of photos and hitting up the cocktail bar. Awkwafina, Joey King and Once Upon A Time in Hollywood breakout Margaret Qualley also joined the tight-knit group, and at one point, Qualley approached the chatting trio of MacKay, Henry Winkler and Charlie Hunnam to ask the Barry star for a quick hug. Adam Driver did a quick lap around the penthouse before heading out, while fellow Marriage Story duo Dern and Noah Baumbach conversed with Cynthia Erivo and Strong. The party wound down just before midnight, as the last drinks were poured and late-night donuts were passed around. — Kirsten Chuba

Five good and gay things that happened this week: 5/18-5/24
I thought last week had a lot of good and gay things, but this week is coming in even stronger.     1. Orange is the New Black‘s final season is nearly upon us. This week, Netflix releases a bittersweet promo for the final season of OITNB, with the actors singing the famous theme song while on set. Taylor Schilling, who plays Piper, also told Entertainment Weekly that much of her final season story revolves around Piper’s relationship with Alex now that Piper is out of prison. The series returns July 26th.   Source: HBO 2. Gentleman Jack is getting a second season. Grab your top hats because the HBO/BBC show about Anne Lister is getting another season. We’ll get to see the relationship between Ann and Anne explored even more.   3. Non binary and out queer actor Kaitlyn Alexander guest stars on The Bold Type. Best known for their performance as LaFontaine in Carmilla, TV audiences got a chance to see Kaitlyn do their thing on this week’s The Bold Type as the former assistant of an abusive celeb photographer. Their character is also non-binary, as boss lady Jacqueline points out to character Jane early in the episode.     View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Deanna Marie (@deanna_mascia16) on May 20, 2019 at 5:53pm PDT 4. The growth of American fashion means New York is no longer the central fashion hub it once was, and many top stylists and designers are choosing to shift their focus to the West Coast, where they have more access to A-listers. All of this has led to whispers that New York should go the same way as Stockholm and cancel fashion week. { Vogue Business } strong Selena Gomez has joined the ranks of Rihanna and Kylie Jenner by creating her own makeup line. "I need a place to stay” (Kaitlyn Ending)
(Read Part One Here First)
Request 6 Kaitlyn x MC Ending
***
“Teddy…
...Sorry, but I need to find Kaitlyn and stop her from making the biggest mistake of her life”
Or keep me from making mine.
Zack cuts in “Don’t worry, I’ll take him off your hands” He gives Teddy a wide grin “--if that’s okay with you, that is”
Teddy smiles “I’ll be just fine”
Zack turns back to you and winks “Go get ‘em tiger” you glance unsurely between the two of them.
Teddy grins and gestures with his hands for you to get going. You oblige, turning and taking off toward the sorority room. From behind you, you hear him call after you, teasingly “Break a lot of hearts?”
“Occupational hazard!” you call back, sprinting out of earshot.
***
After searching the entire sorority house, you find Chris sitting alone on on a bench. You wave to him, he returns it, then points to his left; gesturing to Kaitlyn and Natasha sitting on the next one over. You mouth the words ‘thank you’ to him and he shrugs you off, winking in approval. You oblige, cautiously stepping up to them.
Kaitlyn, focused off into the distance, fails to notice your presence until Natasha tightens her grip on her arm. She looks to Natasha, slowly realizing Natasha’s hate stare in your direction “..What’s wrong..?” She turns her head, following the stare until her eyes settle on you. “Oh”
Natasha finally snaps “What are you doing here?” You see her fingernails digging heavily into Kaitlyn’s arm, causing Kaitlyn to wince.
Natasha tugs at Kaitlyn’s arm “Let’s go. This party stinks anyway” Kaitlyn says nothing, staring at you.
“What happened to Todd?”
“Teddy? He’s with Zack”
Natasha butts in “Ooooh so your boy-toy dumps you for a C-lister and you think Kait’s just supposed walk away from the best thing that’s happened to her since she got here?”
“Is it true, Kaitlyn?” You inquire “That this is the best thing that’s happened to you?”
“Is it true?” she counters “That he left you?”
“I asked first” she sighs and turns to Natasha, whose fingernails have left pink crescents on her arm. She turns back to you. Natasha scoffs “Of course it’s--”
“Honestly, it couldn’t be further from the truth” Kaitlyn cuts her off, turning back to face her “Don’t get me wrong, we had some fun.. But I think we both know we we’re using each other for all the wrong reasons” Natasha releases her death grip on Kaitlyn’s arm suddenly and stalks off “Fine, if you want to keep being this bitch’s bitch, by all means…”
“So what happened?” Kaitlyn starts “With Tag?”
You crack a smile “Teddy?”
“Sure”
“He was really sweet, and funny..sometimes, superbly handsome..” Kaitlyn looks down at her feet, shifting them on top of each other “But I’m here, aren’t I?”
“Only because he left you” she snaps, her eyes reddening, glazing with threatening tears.
“Kaitlyn,” you assure her, catching her eyes and taking her beautiful petite hands in yours “he didn’t leave me”
“He didn’t?”
“I couldn’t stand to see you..” you struggle for words “..make such a poor decision”
“Are you kidding?!” She snatches her hand away. “Who are you to judge me?”
Your eyes fall. “No one, I guess. You’re right” You look back up to find her expression has softened “I guess I...didn’t want you to make the same mistake” She scoffs, rolling her eyes aggressively.
“Puh-lease! You were just jealous” she scowls and crosses her arms, looking away.
You narrow your eyes, watching her, waiting until.. There! Her scowl waivers, giving way to a growing smile “I knew it! You love it”
She turns back to face you in defeat “Okay, okay, so it was nice having you pine over me for a night..”
“Honey, I’ll pine over you for the rest of my life if you’ll let me.” You add “Maybe even two” You grin
“But something tells me you might prefer to end the pining sooner rather than later..?”
“True, and true” she admits. “But what about Becca?”
“I’m here, aren’t I? With you, not Becca”
She lays her head on your shoulder, gazing mindlessly out at the growing chaos of the party scene “I’ve missed you”
“I’ve been here”
“You know what I mean” She lifts her head to look up at you. Her lips frolic along your jawline. You shake your head, beaming “Stop! It tickles!” She does as requested, pulling away. She jumps to her feet, sweeping your hands into her own to yank you up. “Let’s get out of here”.
Hand in hand, you scramble out of the house, giggling to your surrounding friends’ and classmates’ confusion as you bound by.
Out of the corner of your eye, you spot Zack and Teddy, slow dancing together in the center of the floor. With your free hand, you blow them a kiss. “Mwah! The love guru strikes again!”
Kaitlyn rolls her eyes, nagging you along. You race down the front steps and hustle through the quad. Thinking you’re headed toward the bus stop, you almost trip as Kaitlyn pulls your arm in the opposite direction “Wait! Let’s go to the cafe!”
“The cafe?” You stop in your tracks “Why?”
“So presumptuous…” She giggles. “Let’s just say that I don’t want to fall asleep this time” The confusion spattered across your face gives way to a sheepish grin and nod your head eagerly.
***
When you reach the front of the line, Zig eyes you carefully. “What’ll you two lovely ladies be having tonight?”
Excitedly, you request two shots of espresso. Kaitlyn elbows you “--erm, three, three shots of espresso”
Kaitlyn pipes up, “--and a triple mocha for me, large please and thank you--she’s paying!”
You turn to her and eye her carefully “I am?” She nods. “At least you’d better be,” she opens her wallet “Empty!” You roll your eyes and nod.
Zig raises an eyebrow, curiously “Long night planned?” Your cheeks redden, albeit mostly hidden behind your ear-to-ear grin. You nod sheepishly.
Kaitlyn grabs your wallet and pulls out a 20 “Alright, what’s the damage, Zigmund?”
He shakes his head with a smirk, handing you both your drinks. “No charge; ‘love bird special’”
“YES” Kaitlyn pockets the 20 with a wink. You snatch her mocha and take a sip “HEY” she reaches wildly at you. Zig pipes up “Hey! Don’t get my fired, I made up that whole love bird special thing..”
“Mmm..sweet” you tease.
“Well you are what you eat..” she winks at you
“Well in that case wouldn’t that make you--” You’re interrupted by Zig’s palm pressed over your lips, his entire body stretched dramatically over the counter. “Alright let’s keep this PG ladies” His face softens. You blink at him. Twice. Cautiously, he lowers his hand.
You continue “I was gonna say shower spaghetti before Zigmund here interrupted me” Kaitlyn sticks her tongue out at poor Zig.
He raises his hands up defensively “Hey hey hey! I was just reading the room, and I think what it was saying is that it’s about time you two get your own”
Kaitlyn giggles, a blush spreading across both of your faces as you suddenly notice all eyes in the cafe are on you. Kaitlyn whispers to you “Maybe he’s right” You nod in agreement, quickly shuffling out the door, attempting (and failing) to avoid  stares. As you exit, Kaitlyn shouts “BYE ZIGGY” behind her, earning you a friendly, yet quick wave.
As soon as the door closes you both burst into laughter, quickly downing your drinks; likely drinking more of each other’s than your own. The two of you scramble along the quad, breaking from the path and stumbling into an elm grove. Kaitlyn pulls you to face her, then knocks you to the ground.
“Hey!” You rub your back “There are roots!”
Kaitlyn shrugs, “Fine, I’ll let you be on top just this once, you wuss” She flops to the ground on her back beside you, tugging you onto her.
You grin. “Let me? Like you weren’t hoping for this?”
She shrugs, a smug look spreading across her face “Well I always can’t do all the work, can I?”
You roll your eyes and lower yourself on top of her. “I suppose not” You look down and admire the beautiful woman you’ve found yourself entangled with. “By the way, I’ve been meaning to tell you all night that you look absolutely stunning in that dress”
“Really?” Her cheeks grow a beautiful shade of pink, you lean down to press your lips to one “Mm, you taste as good as you look” Her cheeks darken further.
“You know,” you muse “As flattering as that dress is on you..”
“..It would look better on your floor?”
You grin. “You know me too well”
“Guilty as charged” she smirks “I hope that’s not a bad thing”
“No..it’s just..” You ramble off “It’s been awhile since we’ve been..since we’ve..”
“Gotten acquainted?” She guesses. You nod. “Well...want to get re-acquainted?”
“My room?”
“Do you even have to ask?” You smile “Oh, I hope you don’t mind, but I kind of moved some of my things in” Your eyebrows raise.
“And you called me presumptuous?”
“Well..I need a place to stay for awhile..”
“..another spaghetti mishap?” you tease. She nods ruefully.
“I guess you know me pretty well too”
“Guess we don’t need to get reacquainted then”
Kaitlyn gasps “Take it back!” she wriggles loose of your grip
“Alright, alright…”
“Besides, this ground is too pointy” she reaches blindly around behind her.
“Pointy?”
“AHAH I’ve captured the elusive…” she brings it to the light “..pen?” You huff. What a coincidence. You feel a sudden and familiar pang in your chest.
“Should we keep it?”
“No,” you answer, “it probably doesn’t even work anyway. We’ll throw it away on the way home” Kaitlyn shrugs “Okie doke”
You help her to her feet to walk, arms slumped across each other’s shoulders, toward the bus stop.
***
“Oh, and Kaitlyn?”
“Yeah?”
“No spaghetti in my room”
***
“..no promises”

Three years (Kaitlyn and MC fan fiction)
Note: This is a bit long, but I hope you guys will appreciate it. I have already started this weeks ago as an entry for the Choices Creates round with the prompt kitchen. But being so busy lately, the round closed and I’m only halfway through. I decided to finish it anyway and then the prompt for this week was released and I found a way to merge it with this week’s prompt. This is my entry for Choices creates round 12.
Sooooo, @hollyashton and the rest of the fandom, here it goes. Happy reading!
Good morning, sunshine! Got you this before walking to class. Drink it up before it gets too cold. I love you! See you in the evening. xoxo
P.S. Wish me luck for my song presentation today! I couldn’t have done this if you didn’t help me with the lyrics! P.P.S. You’re drooling! But still beautiful, don’t you worry sweetheart. *grin*
I smile to myself as I finished reading the note beside a cup of coffee on the bedside table. On the cup is my name with a heart icon beside it. I drink my first sip and take time to realize how lucky I am to have Kaitlyn. For the span of our three-year relationship, she never failed to make me happy even with the little things, despite of being busy especially now that we are in our senior year.
Yes, it has been more than three years since the day I bumped to Chris, splashed with Kaitlyn in a bikini, appreciated Abbie’s artwork for the first time, and spent the first night at the rooftop together with my suitemates. We still do, though, even if all six of us have gone different ways to pursue our passions. Chris had rerun for the student council president position several times, and had won in every single one of them. I always believe that being a Public Administration major has given him an additional edge against his opponents. Tyler took Information Technology and is bound to finish his own mobile game. Abbie pursued Fine Arts, and has already accomplished putting up several art exhibits to showcase her works. Zack took up Fashion and Design, and plans on having his own clothing line in the future. James had found a new agent who’s willing to bring his original play to life. He’s back in LA and is very busy with the movie right now. Zig is a major in Mathematics, a consistent Dean’s Lister and a candidate for honors in graduation, continuing to uphold that the Second Chance scholarship program is indeed possible! Kaitlyn, obviously, continued pursuing her career in music. She is the lead vocalist of The Perfect Circle, a band she joined after she quit Gutter Kittens. They’ve been playing together for almost two years now, and three of their original singles have been hits across many social media platforms. I won’t be surprised if Kaitlyn will be signing her first recording contract right after graduation. I pursued a career in journalism. I am now in the process of writing my third novel, the second sequel to the novel I first wrote for Professor Vasquez.
The clock reads 8:10 AM. Kaitlyn’s music composition class had started ten minutes ago. I take one last sip of coffee before pulling out my phone and typed:
To: Kaitlyn
Good luck on your song performance! Go on and nail it! I know you can do it. I love you! xoxo
My relationship with Kaitlyn is one heck of a roller coaster ride. There are so much good times – from the romantic dinner dates, spontaneous movie nights, adventurous hiking days, late night booty calls, to the exchange of flirty, sweet text messages – I only found myself falling for her more and more every single day. But just like any other relationship, bad times happen as much as the good times. Time came when Kaitlyn became very jealous of Becca, when I felt bad thinking that Kaitlyn isn’t proud of being my girl in front of her high school gang, or when both of us struggled to make time for each other. There were also times when we wouldn’t speak to each other days after a fight, for the argument to cool down, for the heart to heal, and for the mind to wander for a bit. And as it is said, not all who wander are lost. Sometimes, it will just make you realize that you will always tend to come back to where you truly belong. And that’s how it goes for me and Kaitlyn. We belong to each other and nothing’s going to change it.
My phone buzzes and Kaitlyn’s name appears on the screen.
Thank you babe! You don’t know how nervous I am now!
Don’t be, silly. You’ll do great! By the way, I’ll see you at dinner. Wear your best!
My best? For what?
I laugh upon reading her reply. I’m thinking she might be forgetting something.
On Fridays, Kaitlyn’s schedule is more packed than mine. My classes already ends at 2 o'clock in the afternoon while hers ends at 5, not to mention her band practice that lasts up to 7 o'clock in the evening. I’m the lucky one today; I have lots of time to prepare for my plans tonight.
Before the sun sets, I find myself standing at the kitchen, looking around to check if everything is perfect. Lights are slightly dimmed, giving way for the candles at the table’s center and some are scattered at the floor. The food is already set – from the appetizer to the main course to the triple chocolate cake dessert – at the bar counter, which is now covered with white linen. The table is also covered with white cloth, chairs placed on its opposite sides, two sets of eating utensils placed above it. Rose petals are also scattered on the floor to add to the romantic vibe of the setup.
I then look down on myself, smoothing the white, floral dress I am wearing. I glanced up the clock and it reads 6:37 PM. Kaitlyn will be home at any moment.
Not for so long, the suite’s doorknob clicks. The door opens and there emerges Kaitlyn, wearing the same red dress she wore during our first formal together. Her hair is tied up and she is holding a bouquet of flowers in one hand. She smiles widely at me as she sees my reaction.
No, she had never forgotten.
I greeted her with a long passionate kiss, and after she pulls away, she said, “Happy anniversary, babe.”
I tell her the first words my tongue could find, “How… I thought you forgot.”
She hands me the bouquet before answering, “How could I forget the day I became the luckiest girl in the world?” She grins.
I smile at her as I take the flowers from her hand. I set them on the table first and pull out a small paper bag. I gestured at her, “Here, I have something for you, too.”
I unpacked the paper bag’s contents and reveal a silver bracelet similar to the lucky charm bracelet I lend her when she almost failed all her subjects during our first spring term. The pendants of the bracelet include two female symbols joined together, a musical note, a zombie, a heart and a letter E – each representing different sides of her personality.
Her eyes follow my hand as I clasp the bracelet around her wrist. I could sense the genuine happiness in her eyes when she turned them back at me and hugged me. I returned the embrace and whispered, “Happy third anniversary, babe. I love you.”
She replied, “I love you, too.”
I pull away and lead her to the dining table. I pull her seat for her before sitting in mine, and tonight, we both have the dinner of our lifetime.

Taylor Swift’s mobile app, The Swift Life, is the latest celebrity app to shutter
Taylor Swift’s “Reputation” era, one characterized by military jackets, black sequins and snarls, is coming to a close and, apparently, that means her one-year-old mobile app is too.
The Swift Life, a gamified app developed in partnership with freemium mobile games maker Glu Mobile, announced this week that it would shut down effective February 1. Users of the app have until that date to spend any of their virtual currency, which they had to accumulate in order to purchase Taymojis and access exclusive content.
The Kardashian apps are dead
Glu is a formerly venture-backed business behind a number of celebrity-branded apps that help the A-listers find additional profit off their fan base. It’s responsible for “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood,” which recently announced it would shut down alongside all the Kardashian sisters’ mobile apps; “Britney Spears: American Dream,” “Katy Perry Pop” and “Nicki Minaj: The Empire.” Kim Kardashian’s app was reportedly the biggest success for Glu and at one point was expected to rake in more than $200 million in lifetime revenue. Other attempts by Glu to mimic Kim’s success failed, however.
Glu has already fallen on hard times, with reports indicating that a company restructure in 2017 led to the loss of at least 100 employees. Now it’s mourning the loss of two of its largest celebrity app plays, signaling what could be a dire future for the company. We reached out to Glu for comment.

A post shared by The Swift Life (@theswiftlifeapp) on Jan 2, 2019 at 10:32am PST
There are no available Swift Life revenue figures, but its short lifespan coupled with fan complaints suggest it wasn’t the moneymaker Glu and Swift’s camp hoped for. The app was designed to provide Swift yet another avenue to intimately converse with fans, something she’s become known for in her more than 10-year career. Swift often chats directly with fans on Tumblr, views some of her 114 million Instagram followers stories and, offline, she invites select groups of fans into her home for album listening parties. An app where she could interact with and provide her biggest of fans unique material made sense.
Until all hell broke loose.
After reportedly soaring in its App Store debut, The Swift Life swiftly turned into a battleground for her politically opposing fans: “Less than 48 hours after launching, Taylor Swift’s new app has become plagued with Trump-loving trolls and homophobic comments,” Taylor Lorenz wrote for The Daily Beast in December 2017, just days after the app’s release.
What followed was an eruption of tweets and Reddit posts denouncing the app and its inability to prevent hate from spreading like wildfire across what was meant to be a wholesome, affectionate space for Swifites — on brand with Swift’s mostly squeaky clean image. It’s a wonder the app wasn’t shut down immediately.
Instead, the singer continued to earn money off the app, while some users complained an unannounced moderator was coming in and deleting certain posts. Simple fixes could have improved the user experience, and more access to Swift, something users were promised, would have bandaged the wound.
This week’s announcement cited the end of the Reputation era as the reason for the app’s shut down, but the reality is it failed to meet user expectations and prevent combative behavior.
The Swift Life could have been so much better. It was such a great idea but it had so many problems. It wasn't supported by a lot of devices. Taylor barely used it. The way of getting noticed by Taylor was complicated. It used a lot of storage and wasted a lot of battery life
— emma adores taylor (@shookswiftie) January 2, 2019
The demise of Swift’s app, as well as Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Kylie’s (Kendall got rid of hers long before), can only mean one thing: “We are mourning the end of the golden age of the celebrity app,” writes Vox’s Kaitlyn Tiffany.
In the age of Instagram, consumers, even Swift’s biggest fans — and she does have some very big fans — don’t need yet another app to suck up their time and money. When it comes to the Kardashian family, who have made themselves more accessible to their fans via social media and their reality television show than has ever been possible in the past, an app touting “exclusive content” seems especially lacking in credibility.
Sure, several other celebrity-promoted apps remain, but if Swift and Kim Kardashian, who have more than 230 million Instagram followers between them, can’t generate sticky users then who can?
Sorry Tom Hanks, Demi Lovato, Shakira, Chelsea Handler and other celebs looking to capitalize on their tech-enabled fans. The future of your apps isn’t bright.

Must Read: Hailey Bieber Covers 'Elle', Should New York Cancel Fashion Week?
Tumblr media
Hailey Bieber on the cover of Elle February 2020. Photo: Zoey Grossman These are the stories making headlines in fashion on Wednesday. strongNewlywed Hailey Bieber opens up to Elle about marriage, her and Justin Bieber's rules at home (no phones in bed) and how their shared faith brings them together. The issue hits newsstands on February 18th. { Elle } strong New York Fashion Week is slowly but steadily declining, as more designers opt out of the traditional schedule — including CFDA chairman Tom Ford, who moved his Fall 2020 show to LA. Rare Beauty will launch with Sephora this summer. Its mission is to shape conversations around beauty, self acceptance and mental health. { WWD } Target is launching luggage brand Target is changing the travel game with Open Story, a range of luggage and accessories created by travelers, for travelers. The collection includes everything from backpacks to cosmetics cases, and everything's under $180. It will be available in stores on Feb. 9 and online Feb. 13. {Fashionista Inbox} strong Macy's, one of the country's biggest retailers, has announced plans to close 125 department stores over the next three years and cut 10% of corporate and support staff. This comes after department-store chains lost massive amounts of customers to online retailers like Amazon.com and struggled to compete with discounts at off-price stores like T.J. Maxx. { Wall Street Journal } strongIt just got a lot easier to buy real sneakers with Legit Check Tech (LCT), a new feature unveiled by product authentication technology provider Entrupy. This solution will allow retailers, marketplaces and resellers to quickly and accurately determine the authenticity of popular sneaker styles like Adidas Yeezy and Nike Air Jordan 1. {Fashionista Inbox} strong Teen Vogue has revealed its 2020 Young Hollywood cover stars, featuring nine young actors who are changing popular culture and speaking up for disenfranchised communities. This year's lineup features Jacob Batalon, Sofia Carson, Kaitlyn Dever, Ncuti Gatwa, Theo Germaine, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Dafne Keen, Liza Koshy, and Millicent Simmonds. {Fashionista Inbox} strong strongAfter the Pradamalia figurines debacle in December 2018, which incited a fury over Prada's cultural and racial insensitivity, the New York City Commission on Human Rights has been in talks with Prada. They recently came to an agreement which called for Prada to provide sensitivity training, which also incorporated "racial equity training" for all New York employees and top executives in Milan. { New York Times } Homepage photo: Zoey Grossman Never miss the latest fashion industry news. Headcanons Richie & Kaitlyn?
yes yes yes!
Dance friends since childhood for sure – when Kirsty wasn't in the same class as Richie, Kaitlyn was his go-to partner, whether it was them choosing or Patty pairing them up
Piano playing besties (or couple 👀)
Richie is the first/only person (other than Lindsay) that Kaitlyn comes out to
Kaitlyn brings her polaroid camera with her everywhere, she has so many pictures of Richie that he doesn't even know she took
If they're a ship, one of their favourite date activities is having picnics, take out from Luke's, or coffee on the bridge
