thinking about being in a long-term relationship with ushijima who only ever says "i love you too", because he never says it first.

you're alright with it, you think, because he expresses his love in other ways. he texts you every day, when it takes him 5-13* business days to get back to everyone else. he remembers your orders from all the restaurants and cafés you like, even your complicated and extremely specific coffee order from that one speciality coffee shop downtown. he's the first person to tell you you can do it when you have a new dream that feels far out of your reach, that the best thing to do is to try. he sends you pictures of his day and sometimes pictures of himself even if he doesn't understand the point of a selfie when you obviously know what he looks like; you've known him for about half your life at this point, haven't you?

you know how he is, and you love him, so it's okay. it's okay, until it's not because you're bawling like a baby when he says "i love you" and you're the one who has to fight back tears to choke out "i love you too".

I don't respond to messages in my inbox that are just 'hello'. In my experience, it's usually a troll or some random guy who saw my pic and wants to talk to me based on my looks. I really hate that.

your celebration event's so cute and fun, so i'm here with a request hahaha. i would like to request a selfship moodboard for nanami and me, please! he's a foodie and so am i, and i think sharing food is extremely central to our relationship. late for work? let's go eat. promotion? let's go eat! bad day? let's go eat. bored? let's go eat.

i don't live in a place with a christmas market culture, but i imagine that nanami and i would definitely make time to visit at least once a week for the entire holiday season! just eating around and sipping on something warm.

nanami isn't someone who likes to buy things for himself, so one thing i do like about the holidays is getting him a gift! it will be over dinner at home, just the two of us. maybe we'll be wearing 'ugly' christmas sweaters together for the fun of it!

i don't have any colour preferences! personally, i'm not too close with my family, so i would like it very much if it's a holiday thing just between nanami and me!

Thank you so much for your sweet words and for participating in my event! I'm so excited for this one, because I agree food is such an intimate part of a relationship with Nanami. He's alos a fairly solitary man and in Japan Christmas is more of a romantic holiday. So, spending the holiday with just you both would be his ideal in my opinion and I feel like the both of you are just the perfect match!

Suprise! A little drabble for you ૮꒰ྀི∩´ ᵕ `∩꒱ྀིა

Nanami hummed along to the Christmas music playing gently through the speaker, arms curled around your waist from behind as you rolled out the dough on the counter. Your shared home smelt every bit like the baked goods you were both making. Nanami appreciated moments like this, just being able to spent time just the both of you. Soaking in all of your attention and sharing what time you both could together given your hectic careers. He loved soaking in all of your attention and sharing a meal with you.

Once the gingerbread dough was laid out on the counter, he pulled you gently away from the counter, continuing to hum as spun you to face him. He smiles, stroking your cheek, expression fond. Leaning in to the twirl you to start, finishing it with a hand on the small of your back securing your frame as he dipped you. He then pulled you back upright, humming along to the music as he danced around the kitchen with you. Relishing in the sweet giggle that he was awarded with from his antics. His eyes meet yours, heart hammering in his chest even after all of this time at the expression they hold.

Nanami matches your fond eyes, smile widening, the fond expression never slipping from his features. He loved the way you could make him feel all the love you had to offer within your kind eyes. It was one of those intricacies that made you, you and he loved that about you. His smile becomes wobbly at the love your gaze holds, leaning into your gentle touch his own hand coming to cup your cheek, knocking his nose with your in a pseudo kiss. Nanami grins placing a large hand on the small of you back, dipping you romantically with one hand on the back of your neck to keep you steady as he finally, finally placed his lips over yours.

tagged by @miseryscrowned to take the "Which D&D class suits your personality?" (or, in this case, your OC's personality) quiz. took me ages because I have been so busy & stressed out I am starting to lose track of time, but wat ever we stay silly and take things as best as we can take them~

putting it under a cut because I chose not one, but two OCs for this, and as is often the case with me I started rambling and this got long as hell, lol.

in light of the DLC release date announcement, I'm back in WOTR mode and rotating my beloved wrathful girlie at washing machine speed, so!

Kaija (she/they), my most developed Knight Commander. who, yes, has a canon class, or... sort of canon? IDK, she's a Sword Saint/Vivisectionist, but I've been contemplating a different build for the run I'll do once the DLC comes out—probably will still be martial heavy, but we'll see... anyway, I just wanted to see what class she got assigned based on her personality LOL

and the result was:

Rogue

and I'll admit the result really surprised me at first because I've never seen them as the roguish type—she is quite literally built like a wrestler, roughly 190cm tall, contains multitudes of rage & does not have a single subtle bone in her—but upon reflection I can definitely see it, especially considering how the test openly states that it assigns a class based on personality, not mechanics. the descriptions given match really well, too; INSANELY resourceful, ambitious, materialistic, selfish, chaotic, adaptable, hates feeling powerless/needs to feel like the strongest and most powerful person in the room at any given time, rarely if ever shows her true feelings, often underestimated or not taken seriously despite being more than competent enough to deserve a different treatment... so yeah, fair, she would make a really good rogue! might keep that in mind for the aforementioned new build plans hehe

also: fun result considering one of the characters I ship Kai with—and who is essentially her "endgame" pairing in terms of being a healthy, loving, long-term relationship—is Woljif... who is an Eldritch Scoundrel 🤭 meant for each other~

I'm gonna eat GOOD this winter break 😌), my Tarnished Yunia! aka the other she/they I have been spinning in the vortex of my thoughts 24/7, and who hilariously enough could not be more different from Kaija if they tried lol

Cleric tracks, it's a ridiculously good fit for her thematically—their entire Character Thing is passionate devotion towards the House of Caria (and later, to Ranni & her ideal for the Age of Stars) which overrides even their most basic self-preservation instinct at times and is pretty much, like, the core of their identity. so in a D&D AU, Yunia being a cleric of the Moon goddess Ranni would work out extremely well: following her dogma to a letter, doing everything in Ranni's name and to serve her earthly purposes, drawing from that very faith and dedication to find their own power and way in life, hopelessly in love with Ranni but shh don't tell anyone

Nature domain, on the other hand, I did not see coming, but the description works... ish? like, I'm not sure Yunia is particularly concerned about environmental issues in their source material LOL (even if there is quite a lot of shit to be concerned about, but that's probably on account of the Lands Between being an absolute shithole at the best of times <3), but in a modern AU I could definitely see her going for something like Environmental Sciences, yeah. being a protector-type with very firm beliefs is, again, a core part of their personality, & it's more likely they'd find themself working with flora or fauna because she is just Not good with people at all lol

(the part about having a "surprisingly vicious side" is 100% true though and I hope one day I can write any of the fics involving her I have planned, because that would be SO much fun to delve into :3)

gonna ramble some more because ive been thinking about how exactly yrsk realized he has feelings for nyr. mainly for my needs because its nice to have it summarized in case i forget.

right so we are located in this underground city of sorts, our group of protagonists is resting after saving snori and nyr from a certain place. they are both unconscious and while hara is looking after the former, yrsk does the same with the latter. he could chat with his companions to make his thoughts wander away from his friend and calm himself down (bro is scared shitless because what if he doesnt wake up. what if he wakes up and he is a completely different person... for reasons). so he is just lying there next to nyr on the bed, staring at him and letting his thoughts go apeshit.

he thinks about what nyr means to him. how he could not function properly for the entire time nyr was gone, how he could bring himself to get up only for a thought of rescuing nyr (and snori). he was done, always on the verge of another breakdown, anxiety paralyzing him. how come he felt this way only with him, how come the thought of his good friend snori living the same nightmare as nyr does not evoke such terror, squeezing his throat and suffocating him? yes, he is worried about her, a lot, in fact, really, but only the idea of nyr's dead body was making him straight up suicidal.

finally, the train of thoughts arrived to a place yrsk has been pushing away from himself - romantic feelings. everything then falls into place. he gets frightened even more than before. he cant let nyr know. nobody can know. because just as before, nyr would simply become a weapon that could be used against him - just as when his former lover, kaija, was taken hostage, used as a leverage to unsuccessfully make yrsk behave and subsequently killed without mercy. he could not bear another loss of a loved one if he allowed himself to express this love and found out this love is reciprocated, especially because not long after losing kaija, he also lost even his best friend, a man who he saw as his second father.

nyr was both of these things - a best friend and a potential lover, a person yrsk deeply loved, his soulmate even for he never felt this safe and content with anyone else, not even kaija. but even despite everything that scarred yrsk, he could not run away from the feelings, even if he knew where to. nyr needed him, and heck, yrsk needed nyr. in the end, it was nyr who made yrsk appreciate life again. he decided he would not ever speak of this realization to nyr, or anyone, for that matter. he would keep quiet, simply stay friends with nyr because after all, he doesnt even know if nyr feels the same.

fast forward a few hours, nyr wakes up. takes him only a few seconds to fully come to his senses and upon seeing yrsk's anxious face, he immediatelly falls into his embrace, bawling his eyes out and just letting out all the fear and horror he has been facing before being rescued. because yrsk was there, yrsk was okay, they were both okay.

yrsk simply reciprocated the embrace, hugging nyr hard and thinking that he would really want to kiss nyr in that moment, long and soft. show him that everything is alright. show him that he would die for him. but he did nothing but whispering soothing words to nyr, letting him cry for as long as he needed in his arms.

however, two issues arise—
