Lloyd - His sloutched posture turned to a straight back immediately, having been caught off gourd but not displeased with the attention he received. Finally this boy was thinking about something that wasnt being a hero and saving ninjago. Small boyish smile reached even as he tried to act cool, seeing as you reached out of sight for him his ears popped into a hot pink, and even his face was hot to the touch.

Jay - Only laughed a little after like nothing but felt as if he was on cloud nine, his heart beating quickly in his chest even with his 'Stay cool' facade that Kai had tried to teach him into doing. After you had left him he was giggly and touching where your lips had just briefly touched his cheek, celebrating to himself.

Kai - The ego of this man went through the sun, his usual smirk had formed into a more genuine smile. It felt odd having someone show interest in him as usually it was he who always did, it made him feel warm(er). Definitely let it get a little to his head for the rest of the day.

Zane - He had the least reaction, but the butterflies in his stomach had appeared yet again. The tiniest smile on spread on his face as he watched you leave, feeling accomplished and appreciated even from the small action of affection from you.

Cole - Definitely the kind of guy to not give it too much thought in the moment, but rather thinking of it for the rest of the day. It's not that he didn't want it more or less the fact he didn't expect it and far from it. A secret he would keep for himself only.

Nya - Shocked for the first few seconds after, but nonetheless she enjoyed it, taking it as a hint to start showing her interest with you (even though you might have already cought on). Feeling her palms being a tad bit more clammy than usually for the a while rest of the evening.

Morro - Scoffing after as he crossed his arms, shaking his head. He was in denial about his feelings, and you've only made it worse for him. His heart would've been beating fast if he still had one. After his experience of being a ghost, he didn't feel much, but that was the most warmth he'd felt in a long time on the inside.

P.I.X.A.L - Dose not register as an affection and question it, not used to being shown like this. Definitely went and searched up about this later and found out what the potential meaning could be she was happy, to say the least.

I got hyperfixated on Heartsteel when Paranoia came out so when I saw the art I had to do some myself. Also bc I wanted to do Kai as Kayn (I added a Rhaast version too)

(Maybe I did too many but I couldn’t resist the pretty outfits. Go big or go home!)

All the characters fit so well but I was conflicted with Jay and Lloyd bc aesthetically the outfits fit them but personality wise I think it would be the other way (mostly bc I can't imagine Jay mute). So I did a drawing with them changed (plus Rhaast as Akatora and Pixal as Alune):

Ninjago - How The Ninjas (+ Pixal) Would Welcome You Back (after not seeing you for a while)

Kai

His face lights up the minute he sees you

He opens his arms and charges at you, scooping you off your feet and twirling around

He's smiling hugely the entire time, and as he slows the spinning he starts to laugh

Dropping you down so he can hug you normally, he buries his head in your shirt

His laughing slows, and for a moment you swear you can feel your shirt getting a little wet

Then he pulls away, still smiling, and of course:

SMOOCH TIME

He smushes your cheeks while he kisses you, holding your face firmly against his

The kiss lasts a long time O-O

And when that one stops, he peppers you with a thousand more on your cheeks, forehead, eyelids, hands, etc.....

Once the urge to kiss you has been satisfied, he finally says something

"I missed you so much."

And you can't help but giggle:

"I could tell. I missed you, too."

Cole

Calls your name LOUDLY when he spots you

He's waving frantically until your eyes meet, and then he bursts into a huge grin

He says your name again more warmly when you're closer, still smiling

Then he pulls you into a crushing bear hug, lifting you onto the tips of your toes

He sways back and forth a little, humming calmly

Bro does not realize he's crushing you

It's only when you cough or wheeze or smth that he finally drops you, apologizing with concern

You reassure him that you're fine ofc

Then he goes back to smiling at you, but this time his face lights up as if he's remembered something

His hand disappears into his pocket, and when it comes back out he's got a gift for you!!

RUNS to you like a toddler running to its mother

Arms out, screaming your name, eyes huge, the whole shabang

The hug he gives you is tight, but it barely lasts a second

He pulls away to look at you, and you see tears brimming his eyes

Then he hugs you again, rinse and repeat several times before he finally says something

He's smiling now, and he swipes the tears out of his eyes

"Aw, you don't even know how happy I am to see you again."

He cups your face, just feeling your skin and looking at you as if for the first time

(he's still smiling ofc, but if you look closely his lips are trembling)

You see tears coming into his eyes again, but before they fall he pulls you into another hug

You rub his back, feeling a couple tears dribble onto your shoulder

"Jay... I missed you."

The hug tightens when you say that, and it doesn't end for a long time :)

Zane

He waves animatedly when he sees you

He doesn't say anything, but when you're within talking distance he calls your name lovingly

His arms open to give you a very soft (and unfortunately short) hug

Then he takes your hands, rubbing your knuckles slowly as he gazes at you

He just stares for a long time, hypnotized by your eyes

If you speak he just hums

Then he pulls you closer, gently wrapping his arms around you once more

His fingers curl around your shirt as if he's trying to keep you from separating again

You chuckle softly:

"Zane, I'm not going anywhere."

"I know... I know."

He def holds your hand for the rest of the day though <3

Lloyd

You hear him before you see him

He's calling your name loudly, and when you spot each other you run into each other's arms

You hug each other tight for a moment, both humming from squeezing and being squeezed

Then you pull away, giggling at each other

Lloyd opens his mouth to say something, but shuts it with a grin that's shy now

"I planned out what I wanted to say to you... but I forgot."

You both laugh again, settling on a hug to say what words couldn't

Pressed against your shoulder, he murmurs that he missed you a lot

His hands wander up to your head, and he runs his hands through your hair (or against your scalp if you have rlly short/no hair :3)

He will MELT if you do the same btw

You guys just hug for an eternity

You only stop to prevent yourselves from falling asleep standing up

Much like her brother, Nya is definitely going to pick you up when she sees you again

She holds you high in the air, her arms pressing your knees against her torso

She looks up at you with the most loving gaze, her lips curved into a soft smile

After a while he drops you down, but not all the way to the ground

Your feet are still dangling, but your faces are closer now

She sighs, finally putting you back on your feet

Planting a kiss on your cheek, and then the other one, she skips the mushy words

Instead she asks you how you've been :)

She's been dying to talk to you again; she wants to hear every little detail!!

She's the calmest of the bunch when it comes to reuniting

She'll smile when she sees you ofc, but she won't act all excited or anything when you approach

She will greet you very warmly though, dw

You can tell she means way more than "well," but she was obviously too awkward to say it

(This is also when she'll point out the smallest of differences in your appearance,, like "your hair is longer/shorter now")

She'll accept any warmth you return gladly, no matter how mushy you wanna get

Actually she appreciates if you can be more affectionate than she was

It shows her that you're happy to see her again :)

She'll want to spend at least the rest of the day with you, even if she's just standing silently in the background while you do your thing

Jay's face changed in an instant, fear faded into the background, his hands involuntarily tightened on the weapon, the ninja got into a fighting position.

— Where is that stupid girl?! — Kalmaar was angry, looking around to see if this was a trap, although what kind of girl could we be talking about when you control the most powerful being alive in this world.

— Nya is not here, I will be your opponent instead! — Jay declared, taking a step forward.

— You?! — Kalmaar chuckled.— You are a nobody, a weakling, a pathetic and worthless hero who is looking for his death. — What can you do against me? — The King of Merlopia laughed.

— What can I do? — Jay began to play along, pointedly thinking about his question. — I challenge you to a fight! One on one! — The lightning ninja spoke loudly and clearly in a confident tone, Kalmaar was very surprised and laughed.

It was entertaining to say the least, especially when one of the younger ones ran over to the nearest group of adults (where you happened to be standing) and ran around you guys to only get caught. It was both entertaining to watch and entertaining to listen to the others having to quickly change their conversations because the little kids were now here. “Looove,” But, there is always one baby that can’t seem to entertain themselves. You would stifle a chuckle as you felt them slug over, wrapping their arms around your waist and resting their head atop of yours. It had only been two hours, the two of you having gotten here since the sun went down, but you could already tell that they will be bothering you for the next half an hour to make the ‘clock go by faster’. “It’s not time yet.” You would simply tell them, leaning back into the hug as you messed with the straw in your drink. Again, you had to suppress a chuckle because of the groan you got. For the past two hours you’ve been sending them on meaningless tasks to get them to do something, or else they’ll be up your butt until the fireworks went off, but you couldn’t think of anything for them to do right now. Maybe you should send them off to play with the kids.

They were all giggling and rushing around, pushing the couch forward to hide behind it, hiding inside the pantry, bathroom, etc. Before you could ask any questions about what they were doing, you assumed playing hide and seek, your lover rushed over to you in a fury. They pecked your forehead, “Love you, Dove, don’t rat any of us out! Melody is it.” And they rushed off again, scrambling to find somewhere to hide despite being a little too grown to shove their way into cabinets, like some of the other kids were doing. All the adults were laughing and chattering and having been kicked outside of the house since the kids took up the living room to play their games. Thanks for being so patient.” Which caught your lovers attention instantly, as they glanced down at you with a curious look before smiling. “HAPPY NEW YEARS!” The shouts of many filled the small house just as the counting that took place earlier, as big grins spread upon people’s faces and couples paired up to kiss one another. Some of the kids would recoil and yell yuck, grabbing a cup of candy or grapes before giggling and rushing away outside to get the firework show started! They knew that someone had to follow them outside or else there would be a repeat of last year; There would be no fireworks to set off because someone doused them in water! You were laughing, about to follow the kids out with a shout, “Wait up you buggers!” Yet before you could exit the door an arm snaked around your waist and pulled you back. You would let out a yelp, not having expected it, nor having expected to be twirled around and dipped. Your lover would chuckle seeing your flushed face staring right back up at them, they just couldn’t help it! You look all too cute being so flustered. “Did you forget you got someone to kiss now on New Years, love?” They would tease, the biggest snicker upon their face. You wouldn’t even get a chance to respond before their lips met yours, in an oddly steamy yet enjoyable kiss; Even if most of the kids were shouting in disgust in the background.

“Three!” You and the others would count down, watching the closet clock that had been brought out for this exact purpose. Your love was standing right next to you, counting down just as excitedly with you. It was going to be a new year and no way were they going to be anywhere other than your side tonight! The kids were bouncing excitedly, basically off the walls, and some adults were two as the next two numbers were called: “Two!- oNE! HAPPY NEW YEARS!!” We did it, another year around the sun was completed and a New Year had started. Cheers and applause erupted from everyone as couples kissed their lovers and some tried eating their cup of grapes for good luck that year. You couldn’t help but giggle, noticing how your lover was glancing over at you with expected eyes. They were too cute! So, before they could make a move to meet your lips, you would cup their cheeks within your hands, squishing them together, before you pull them down to meet your lips. You didn’t realize how shocked they were at first, though you couldn’t help but giggle at this fact as they soon melted into the kiss and accepted it, hugging your waist with their arms to pull you closer.

You were trying to hold back your laughter, turning your head away from your lover as they held you firmly within your arms. It was 12:01 o’clock in the morning, a minute into the New Year, and you were already denying your lover the kiss they wanted badly! You could hear the others call for the children to be rounded up so they could launch fireworks while others laughed, playfully, at your lover’s misfortune. “I was a minute late, babe, please!” They would beg, looking at you with the biggest puppy eyes they could manage. You swore if there weren't any other people around that your lover would be on their knees, begging for you to spare them one kiss. “A minute!” You protested, biting back your giggle, “A minute! And I was calling you to come here because we were going down. I called you when there were ten, eight, five, two, and one minute left but you were too busy outside!” Your tone was playful, your lover knew you were slightly upset with them but still couldn’t help but be amused at their antics. “Then I’m just going to have to take it from you!”

At first you had tried to tell everyone that it wouldn’t be a good idea to let them do such a task, pointing out a few things but they were confident enough to tell you: “Don’t worry, love, I got this!” Before rushing over to help light the fireworks. Honestly, you were a little surprised at this fact, even more surprised that the family was able to step away from the big gathering to be able to have a small celebration of their own. But now, you were thinking you would rather take the crowd than this. Especially since you knew- “OW! OW, OW.” There it was, your lover shouting because they burnt themselves on the lighter while trying to light fireworks. You honestly expected some bigger freak accident, like them getting hit by a firework or something like that, but you were glad that didn’t happen. You didn’t need a trip to the ER today, no matter if this came about due to their own stupidity. Either way, you rushed inside to grab them mustard and ice to hopefully quell the burn. (You also weren’t surprised to hear the laughter of others as you left.)

The kids waved around their sparklers and ran around the yard, which was clear of any of the bigger fireworks, waiting anxiously. There were three adults helping set up the fireworks and, thankfully, your lover wasn’t one of them. Nope, thankfully, they stood next to you with one hand in their pocket and the other around your waist, holding you close. It was really moments like these that made your heart beat, moments that were peaceful and just pure loving. “Alright everyone, stand back!” The shout was given from one of the three in the front as a lighter was sparked. Not even a few seconds later did they all rush back from the igniting fireworks as kids gathered around in front of their parents to watch the spectacle. Your lover would place his pocketed hand on top of your kid’s head, holding you ever so closer, as one of the fireworks shooted towards the sky and exploded in a colorful burrage. After the first one, everything else seemed to go off in a slightly chaotic but systematic rhythm, allowing their color to paint the skies in ways you never knew you missed until this time of year rolled around again. Yet, what you didn’t notice is that your lover would barely catch the fireworks with their own eyes, as they would much rather watch them through yours; You and your lovely face, oh they could just smooch you right now!

You were standing outside with your kids, holding them close in a big hug while you guys watched the fireworks together. Your lover had been stuck in the restroom, saying that they had to have eaten something bad to upset their stomach so much. You had offered to stay with them, saying how one of your siblings would watch the kids so they could experience the fireworks, yet they told you to go on without them. To enjoy the fireworks with the kids even if they couldn’t be there. So you did, leaving your lover with a glass of water and medication for their ill stomach, and went to watch the fireworks with the kids. When it was over, you would give then a kiss before playfully shooing them off to your siblings before you would rush into the house to check on your lover. They were still in the bathroom. You gave two gentle knocks. “Honey?” You would hear a groan of pain, to which you had to suppress a small giggle. “Yes, Love?” You playfully asked back. You couldn’t miss the complete devastation that rang from their voice moments later, “I missed the fireworks, didn’t I?” As you turned your face away, the smell from inside slowly hit you like a stink bomb. “Yes.. but maybe now you’ll listen to me when I say you shouldn’t have eaten all those burritos my aunt cooked.” “But they were so good!”

“Love?” You called out before you entered the home, looking around for your lover. They had told you they were going to go lay on the couch inside, claiming that they needed a little rest before the fireworks due to the kids running them ragged. They had told you they would be outside in time for the fireworks, so you guys could watch them together! But they weren’t outside, nor did they seem to be making their way outside. You had asked one of the kids where they were and all they did was giggle, so you had to go investigate on your own. Upon walking inside, not even ten steps in, did you see your lover asleep on the couch. And upon walking closer to them, did you notice why all the kids had been giggling when you asked; There were marks in bright, colorful markers and glitter glue all over their face! Well, if they didn’t wake up to that, you guessed that they really needed the sleep. You couldn’t help but giggle a little though, taking a picture of the scene before walking off to get some baby wipes. You were cruel enough to take a photo of the moment, not cruel enough to leave them like that.

Pixal the type of girl to make her own helicopter body.

Just, just imagine this:

The ninja are running for whatever reason and need an escape. They’re calling Pixal for a pick up but she doesn’t respond. Suddenly, a helicopter just appears in front of them and they hear Pixal telling them to get in. Once they’ve successfully escaped, they all collapse and thank Pixal.

Looking around, they couldn’t see her at all. Nya goes to the control of the helicopter and presses that walkie talkie button to talk to her, but all they get is static.

In worry, and confusion, they all look at each other. Zane was about to call Pixal’s names before the speakers in the helicopter practically screech “IS EVERYTHING OKAY??”

The ninja look just about ready to leap off the helicopter when Pixal speaks at a better volume.

“Apologies, I am not yet used to the controls of this body.”

Zane, in pure bafflement, and what’s bordering exasperated, asks the important questions, as usual.

“Pixal…please don’t tell me you created a body shaped as a helicopter for yourself?”

“You said I should do whatever it takes to achieve my dreams, Zane. Of course I made myself a helicopter body!”

Zane is now dating a helicopter. Who’s sometimes a girl. Or a giant fighting mech, it really depends.

Fun fact, I used to hate Jaya. I thought it was really forced in the canon, and Jay's really obsessive behavior that is the catalyst for all of the events in Skybound always really bothered me? But tumblr has completely turned me around on this ship. They have their moments in canon, but in fanon they're really wonderful. thanks tumblr <3

these two...... 🥺they are really good i will admit. I'm a big fan of glaciershipping myself and I tend to prefer it over pixane, but these two are so lovely to each other and i totally see the appeal. I just wish pixal wasn't so sidelined in the canon fr what were they doing with her character??? let her be around more often let her and zane be sweet together. please smh

SKYLOR ALSO HAS NOTHING TO DO MOST OF THE TIME-- honestly this show sidelines like all of its female characters so hard. but these two are great toooo theyre sweeeet 😊 i just wish skylor was used for more than cameos. i like that she's the only one that can consistently shake kai's ego it's a great dynamic

lloyd and akita!! i'm gonna be so real with you guys i forget about akita so often ;v; which is a shame... i give her the award for most sidelined female character because she existed for half a season. but she and lloyd are sweet! I don't tend to ship lloyd with anyone personally, but i do love that they meet under the circumstances of "lloyd is in a world where his name and status mean nothing so he has no pressure to perform". it's a fantastic break for him. holy shit he deserves it

im gonna be so honest with all of you um. i actually. havent seen MotM yet. i was in the middle of my rewatch, and i got up to the point i stopped, right before MotM, and then Netflix changed their watch policies. and then of course i got busy

but from what i've seen of these two in fanon they seem alright! I usually prefer them in other wlw or mlm ships because of ONE ninjago vine compliation thing i saw with the two of them as this one tiktok and i've never been able to think of them as a couple since then. But they seem like they have a lovely friendship, whether that ends up turning to romance or not!

He was teaching you new tricks he had learned, smiling proudly, but yet he had been more bashful with his ears red, which was unusual for him. This moment is interrupted to him being a hero, yet again, "We can continue later on, yeah." He says out loud to you but stopping at the door for a short second longer. "Let's call it a date, how about that?" Rushing down the hall after with a boyish grin on his expression.

Of course, he had been the most confident about it. Wrapping an arm around your shoulders to pull you closer, reaching a hand out with your favourite flower handed to you. The infamous grin on his lips and a raised brow. "If you're free anytime soon, I could take you out. Hmm? What you say."

~ Cole Brookstone ~

Taking both your hands on his wishing on your whole attention as his face warmed up, "I've been thinking for a while.." Pausing as he himself needed to take a breath before continuing eye contact. "We should go out? Sometime in the upcoming free time, if you want." Laughing nervously, squeezing your hands carefully knowing his own strength.

He had decided to go somewhat 'simple' with asking you out. There had been silence for a while with only you two standing on the deck of the ship. "I believe we should go on a date." Sounding more like statement than a question, deep down he was too nervous to even make eye contact at that very moment

Simple. Simple as he walked up to you with a whole handful of flowers, chocolates, and a teddy. Wearing a black suit and a tie smiling sweetly standing there looking handsome as ever, "I hope you consider a date with me, on Friday at 6pm? I'll pick you up." Cocking his head to the side feeling as if a weight has been lifted off his shoulders.

Not only did she have a speciality with water and machine crafting, using what she knows of her water powers to write out her date proposals for when you joined her along the walk down the beach for a moment to relax. Doing her movements as a dark blush appeared on her face before looking back at you. "So?" She muttered nervously.

Often, was he grumpy, he seemed oddly less unpleased this evening. "Let's go out, I'll pick you up at 6." Crossed arms and a head turned to the side, not wanting to look weak in front of you, a scowl to be miss-matching how he actually felt. Especially since he thought so highly of you again, enough to even take you out.

A few days before, she previously asked you to show up at the restaurant, saying she wanted you to try out a new recipe. When making sure she was the one who served your table, giving you a playful wink before leaving you alone. There laid a paper next to the bowl which was placed in front of you, which read, 'Taking you out on Friday at 6 xoxo Skylor.'

Knowing very well that you like, so she took time to get your favourite chocolate, which had been placing it in your hands with a simple tiny smile on her metal face. "I like you. Does thursday work for you?" Feeling as if her harddisk is about to overload.

There, he stood with flowers he had collected from the water searfice before meeting you. Toothy sharp grin with a blue soft blush as he voided eye contact, scratching the back of his neck and swallowing down the nervousness creeping up his features. "Hey, uhm...
