Same anon here!I've definitely read a fair share with ones where kaeya makes pancakes for klee! Think it's mostly strangediamond's, theyve always got pancakes in fics. I was also thinking it couldve been pepperjuice based on how diluc and kaeya were still a bit distant in the scene but unfortunately adelinde made the pancakes there. Turns out diluc making bad pancakes (could be french toast too??) is a shockingly rare scenario.

the time spent waking up with xiao is typically scarce – he's typically left for scouting missions before the sun grants you a glance at your sleeping frame. when he does take the chance to sleep in, though - it's usually accompanied with lots of pleading with him during the night before. mornings are slow, and easy. today, no one is in a rush, pacing circles around the clock. the both of you are finally taking the time to sit down together to enjoy a simple meal.

zhongli

mornings with zhongli are usually encompassed with three things – waking you up, having breakfast, and resting in each other's presence. it isn't a satisfying morning if any of the three aren't fulfilled. zhongli presses a kiss to your temple, gently pushing the covers aside so he can lay in bed with you for a few more moments. a traditional breakfast consisting of steaming bowls of congee, bamboo shoot soup ladled in tiny teacup-like bowls, and stir fried kailan.

kaeya

kaeya usually likes to sleep in, unless he's on duty. such is the life of a weary captain – when rest comes, he cradles it against his chest like a mother with her baby. it is precious and almost fleeting... his hollowed, restless face says it all. you press a kiss to his forehead and rub his purlicue as you patiently wait for his breathing to even out once again.

diluc

mornings with diluc are comfortable and luxurious. you're royalty, at the ragnvindr manor – adelinde serves a five star breakfast spread just for you and diluc, always at 8:50am. sometimes she made pancakes, with generous drizzles of syrup and adorned with fruit – or maybe a staple of bacon and eggs, the fat sizzling in the pan until the whole manor was granted the privilege of the delight. diluc wants nothing but the best for his lover, and he's always more than happy to lay in bed with you as long as you'd like.

childe

mornings with childe are a hit or miss – it's either rejuvenating, getting to spend this time with your lover – or it's devoid of rest. usually, it's decided from two factors – if he spent the last day with you, or on the battlefield. the battlefield is weary, as marvelous of a fighter he may be. the renowned harbinger gets tired of sparring every now and then, but spending the morning with you always puts him right back in the mood to be with his bow, with you by his side.

alhaitham

waking up with alhaitham means spending the first twenty minutes wiping the sleep from your eyes, and snuggling back into his arms the minute your fingers reach for the snooze button. alhaitham holds you close to his chest – so close, you can feel his chest rising up and down with every relaxed breath he lets out, because he's finally back in your arms again.

kaveh

waking up with kaveh usually means it's a competition; all in good fun of course! you race to get to the bathroom first, brush your teeth first, get changed first – anything and everything will be made into a competition. he loves to gloat when he gets it (because you let him win, of course) but it's always coupled with him making breakfast after all that activity, first thing in the morning. after breakfast usually leads to being quiet and resting with each other before you start your activities.

Very difficult choice between Kaeya and Wriothesley cuz they both fit you so much! Your relationship would be a fun one. I choose him because he is adventurous, open minded yet he has a soft and caring side underneath his mask.

You and Kaeya met at the tavern. You’re quite the famous musician in Mondstat and can sometimes be found playing at diluc tavern. He found you having some kind of fun competition with Venti and decided to join both of you. Kaeya is someone you can get along with easily, but getting him to consider you a close friend is difficult. He has many squelettons in his closet after all. It was after many similar meetings that he started considering you a fun acquaintance and even inviting you to fun places he finds. One incident in particular is when Kaeya saw you fencing. That afternoon, he became your sparring partner and even showed you some moves. Many fond memories were made that day as he shared some parts of his childhood. His confession was rather out of the blue. He is very flirty and you didn’t believe him at first but then he confirmed it and you two became an item.

Kaeya is a rather complex lover. He doesn’t let people in, that’s why he half expected the relationship to not last. It took time for him to fully commit but once he does you’ll notice it. He’ll become more open with you, start venting about his day and people to you and just share the feelings that he normally keeps bottled up. Kaeya love language is mostly quality time and acts of service. He does enjoy some physical affection at home but in public he prefers just offering his arm or holding your hand if he feels bold.

He likes how energetic you are because you two do so much together! Heck you two go to sleep very late unless you have something important the next day. He prepares fun and surprise dates often where you go to festival, arcades or just a hike to get a wonderful view. He even camps with you and if he can he’ll take you to other regions of Teyvat to enjoy their customs. You two have busy schedules, and his is less flexible but always find time for each other. Jean understand that Kaeya is learning to fall in love so she encourages him to take some days off (she and lisa have a bet going on lol). Speaking of them, Kaeya sometimes ask them for date or gift ideas that he can’t ask you or it would ruin the surprise. It’s very cute and probably all Mondstat knows about your couple. Totally not Venti fault. Diluc was at first skeptical but in the end he was happy for his brother. He finds it nice that Kaeya is going forward and isn’t stuck in the past.

Kaeya doesn’t mind your profession at all lol. You two have your jobs and he sometimes jockingly asks you what you’d play for his funeral or your wedding. Rather dark humor but he’s just teasing you. When he saw you building things he was rather surprised to be honest. It sparkled a tradition where he finds their equivalent of legos and gift you a new one each month or so. Yes he built you lego flowers.

Your house is rather chaotic but homey. You both have a space for your alone time and he made sure that your space had a nice window and a very nice table plus library. He likes seeing you drawing and has asked you more than once to draw him like one of your Fontainian girls (men?). It’s a nice home life. Kaeya likes cooking with you despite take outs being his good to go lol. He even makes the effort to surprise you with breakfast in bed sometimes! Kaeya is a tease who enjoys messing with you. He keeps things on high shelves and gives you funny nicknames (they’re not insulting). He even steals your jackets sometimes…

It took him a few months to show you his eye and even longer to tell you his past. He expected you to run away or call him a monster but was very happy when you stuck around. He showed it by hugging you very close and refusing to let go. That’s when he knew you were his one and only.

morning person who sticks to a very strict routine

he always gets up early to make breakfast and always makes sure to make you some too

honestly, he always cooks for you and he’s good at it too

not one for movies or tv shows, but if you ask him to watch one with you he most definitely will

if you find a bug or something, he’s instantly going to go kill it for you or take it out of the house

overall 10/10 roommate

kaeya:

cool but annoying roommate

when he comes home, he always has stories to tell you. he likes to lay down on your bed and tell them in the most dramatic way possible (but you always listen)

oddly clean, i feel like he doesn’t really like messes

you guys probably eat out a lot because both of you are disasters in the kitchen (especially together)

you guys most definitely have a switch and spend an ungodly amount of time playing mario kart

overall really fun to be around and you never get bored of having him around

xiao:

you guys probably don’t talk much

he’s really quiet and keeps to himself and his schedule

he’s an early riser but also stays up late at night

you’ll often hear music coming from his room, but it’s usually faint and rather calming music

you’re probably the one who cooks and he really likes your food. he’s not picky, but he doesn’t enjoy getting fast food

sometimes he’ll silently join you if you’re watching a movie or something

if you fall asleep outside of your room, he’ll take you back to your bed and make sure you’re okay

he’s very caring, even if he doesn’t show it much

thoma:

kind of obvious, but out of everyone, he’s definitely the best person to be roommates with

always makes sure your guys’ home is clean and he always makes sure you and him are well fed

always invites you to cook with him and every time you do, it’s always fun

you guys will often have movie or game nights together

you probably both fall asleep on the couch together too

definitely very caring and supportive and you guys always have your doors open to one another if you need to talk

childe:

chaotic as fuck

you don’t really get a lot of peace living with him

loud and definitely messy

you guys play a lot of games together and it gets competitive every single time

you have to cook because he nearly burned down the kitchen once

you guys rarely agree on things, but you still get along

she decorates your guys’ apartment really nicely, but it’s very colorful

she’s got a lot of energy and really enjoys being around you

if she’s going out, she always makes sure to invite you to go with her

you guys always hang out in one of your rooms and talk for hours

you guys definitely bake a lot too (i feel like she has a sweet tooth)

dainsleif:

kinda like xiao, he keeps to himself most of the time

he does enjoy indulging in conversations with you though, though they do tend to be more on the philosophical side

loves to sleep, but is a total night owl

he probably has a large collection of books and prefers them over movies or tv shows

• kaeya pokes you with the rolled up cartolina he buys from the canteen and when it gets crumpled, rosaria makes him go buy another one but not before hitting him with it too.

• tohma sees you at the front of the line in the canteen and he automatically goes to you, totally disregarding the other people in line even if you arent close 😭😂.

• ningguang terror leader. just show up on time for practices, actually cooperate and pull your weight and she'll be good.

• during free subjects, xiao lets you rest your head on the arm of his chair.

• albedo or zhongli staying back after class helping you make the props for the class presentation.

• childe forgets his book / module at home, so he shares with you, leaning over until you prop it between your armchairs.

• xiao letting you rest your head on his shoulder on the jeep on your way home.

• childe/tohma/kaeya forgetting their umbrellas at home and suddenly ducking under yours because you have the same jeepney station and his friends are left fending for themselves in the rain.

• xiao/albedo with bracelets and those rubber arm band things - im not sure what they're called - and are reminders of contests they've won and souvenirs for places they went to for competitions.

• we've never had a prom :(( what's it like :((

• diluc is quiet, but has derpy pictures of everybody that he posts on their birthday as a greeting. xiao too. and albedo. they make it a contest to see who has the most in their gallery by the end of the year.

• additionally, kaeya, childe and tohma (lovingly being labelled as the three idiots) are the ones that volunteer you for competitions because they think you're good at something.

klee: priority?? fishbombing!! listen. if there's one thing i can do in the genshin impact universe? it's to play and babysit klee and making sure she has fun without anyone getting hurt or in trouble! for extra measures she can go fishbombing into one of my teapots entirely made just for her! bits of the golden apple archipelago furniture can be found there too, it saves klee the earful from jean and at the same time making sure she had fun, precious klee. i swear i will get klee on her next re-run!

amber: NOW. she was my f2p main! level 5 amber in mobile was... something. idk how i did it but i play on pc now! i have friendship 10 with her and honestly one things i wanna do is spend the day tagging along as she does her errands helping people, and she's never really scared to approach anyone- it doesn't matter to her. she played a big role too! MAN WHO TF WOULD'VE INTRODUCED US TO KAEYA IF NOT FOR HER HELLO??? OH- AND, by the end of the day we're gonna get sticky honey roast. definitely.

hu tao: main. also kinnie. i wanna go paint my nails with her, her taste is very simple, nail wise- since she's a funeral parlor, it probably must be kept simple, i also wanna go indulge her into my prank ideas cause for the love of me- not a day goes by without me playing tricks on people, its gonna be the end of xiangling and chongyun once we collaborate to prank people. might feel silly and get in trouble with the liyue qixing idk HELP LMFOA. i have a background of going to the office for pranking someone bye. GLIDING. i love the wind. idk why but the breeze makes me feel so calm and makes me feel free and its kinda a reminder to me saying that the wind provides a breather for everyone is just so... ANYWAYS GLIDING AROUND MONDSTAT OR EVEN DVALIN PULLING A TOOTHLESS AND ALMOST DROPPING US INTO THE OCEAN BYE. we'd end the day to the tavern getting drinks we both like.

ok so as im writing this, lover's oath just played so lemme just: me and zhongli getting our favorite stones carved into matching bracelets, his cor lapis and mine being crimson agate. with our glazed lillies and novels we get about morax and his past lover, we travel to the land that holds the most significant to them both and just take in everything as he tells the story as if the scene was unfolding infront of our eyes after that we go on a field of glazed lillies and drink osmanthus wine that took ages to find the recipe of and zhongli putting all his knowledge into brewing it- WAIT A MINUTE.
