Kayne's new and improved radio is placed on Kaden's desk, with a cassette tape titled "Funny videos - 1 (we abuse the gods!!). It's a collection of a bunch of people swearing and ranting about the gods in turn, and then finally cuts to-

"A much healthier way for you to express your..uh, distaste with the gods. No harm done except maybe to the god's egos! Anyway, to conclude, Dike is a (censored bleeps follow, indicating a lot of cursing) and she does not deserve an ounce of my time! Wow, that already feels better."

When Kaden finds the radio on his desk, he chuckles, a little sadly. Kayne’s just left. And left him—well, not in the breaking up sense, but in the three thousand miles apart sort of a way.

It’s not that he doesn’t understand her voyage to see her family. He’d do the same, if it meant he could see his sister again.

So he does understand. It’s just: three thousand miles. Wow.

She swore she’d write, but in the meantime, Kaden can’t do much. So he listens to the cassette tape.

And he starts to laugh. And then cry.

By this point, it’s become a bit of a routine. Three weeks have passed—three long, painful, horrible weeks—and he listens to the tape again and again. Specifically Kayne’s part.

He has to tilt his head back today and blink rapidly. It’s one of those days. Kayne’s letters have somewhat dried up. Is she in pain? Injured? Dead?

He listens to her speech one last time. It’s happy and angry and so perfectly Kayne that he stands up to look out at Half-Blood Hill, illuminated by the moon.

“Kayne, where are you?”

Hello Anakin! Got any interesting stories about sparring with Kaden?

"Oh, well… I could tell you a few stories about sparring with Kaden, but I think might get into trouble. Since you asked, who am I to say no?

You know, they try to act unphased, but the second I get close they can't hide that cute little blush.

It’s honestly one of my favorite things, watching them try to keep it together when we’re on the training mats.

There was this one time, I'm not even sure if they realized it—but I was showing them a quick counter move, and just as I grabbed their wrist to flip them… their face turned this incredible shade of red.

I might have held on a little longer than necessary, just to see how flustered they'd get and when they try to focus on their technique, it’s like they don’t know where to look, especially when I pull off a move that involves, say, a lot of footwork and spinning. It is adorable how they stammer.

Honestly, though I think they are just as good as me… you know, when they're not busy staring, of course.

Oh, and then there was that one time Kaden got so flustered during a sparring match that they forgot which side their training weapon was on. They tried to pull it out dramatically, only to realize it was still clipped to the other side of their belt.

I’ll admit, I might’ve winked at them right before it happened.... It is practically an unfair advantage at this point.

I cannot help it however, they're just too cute and easy to rile."

This is not selfship related BUT 8 years ago today~ @cosmic-kaden went on a trip to another city to see one of my favourite bands live~ This band is Muse~ We had so much fun and I am so fond of the memories and fond of the fact the first time I experienced Muse live, it was with my best friend~

I really hope we can go to more concerts together cause it's always so much fun! Such a wonderful experience but I also hope that one day we can go to a concert for a favourite band of theirs because I wanna share in the love of something they love~ <3

I can say without a doubt I love being able to get into something that my bestie loves~ We're close even without the different things we like~ But if I can experience things in life with them as my best friend, there's nothing that will stop me~ I love them so much and being friends for over 20 years I wouldn't give them up for anything~

Pate & Matthew: I feel like if none of them had climbed Mt. Ebott, Matthew would have eventually still went against his friends and would have tried to be friends with Pate! Pate might have still not shown up at school for awhile...but it would have not been for such a dark reason. And, honestly?? A "nothing goes wrong" AU with these two would be the best -w-

Kaden: I feel like if Kaden hadn't been homeschooled, he would have had a decent amount of friends at school! Hes just too nice! >w< He would have been the kid that brought treats to school for other students birthdays, lol!

Lucas: I think he would have been apart of some extracurricular activities if he had actually went to school! Mostly soccer or like...spelling bee? If thats still a thing? But, other than that, probably not too many friends. He a shy boi lol

Once again another great request!

It was the night of the team’s New Year’s Party, and you were waiting for your boyfriend to leave.

“Love, we don’t have all night, we are gonna be late,” you sat on the couch waiting for him to come out of the bedroom. You saw his figure appear in the doorway,

“Oh you look too good for me,” he grinned.

“Oh please you look stunning,” you said back, as the two of you were in perfect color coordination. You stood up and moved to the door as he offered his arm out for you to take. You clutched it firmly as you made your way to your car.

You had made it to the party and were greeted promptly at the door.

“Y/N, you clean up nice,” Arber said holding the door open for the two of you.

“Well thank you,” you walked past him, as Juraj followed behind. He watched his teammate look you up and down before clearing his throat and taking entry. Juraj shot him a glare before catching up to you quickly. You made your way around the party, greeting everyone, and finding familiar faces. You and Juraj had separated to make your rounds. You were laughing with some of your friends, you had known before Juraj was on the team.

“You can’t be serious,” Kaden laughed.

“I’m telling you, she really said that, and my French isn’t great, but I could understand that,” you laughed.

“So what did you say?” Nick asked following your incident at the game the other night.

“Je ne parle peut-être pas couramment mais je reconnais une insulte quand j'en entends une (I may not speak fluent but I know an insult when I hear one),” you laughed.

“What?” Cole said.

“Basically that she’s not stupid,” Kaden explained. While you were caught up in your story you had hardly noticed Juraj staring at you across the room, not looking happy. You glanced over after your French statement to find him staring at a drink. 

“Excuse me guys,” you said leaving your drink at the table and making your way to your boyfriend.

“Wait we want to know what happened,” Nick said. You held up one pausing finger to them before you reached Juraj.

“Hey,” you said standing across from him.

“Hey,” he said his gaze moving to the floor, he was monotone, and not even a crack of a smile on his face.

“Are you having fun?” You asked,

“You are,” he said once again with no tone. 

“Well then come join us if you aren’t,” you smiled, pressing his chin up forcing him to look at you. 

“Fine,” he said. The two of you made your way back to your friends.

“I was telling them the story of the other night,” you smiled, “you loved when I told you that,” you said.

They all cheered as you and Juraj approached the table.

“Okay Y/N tell us, how did she respond,” Kaden said putting his drink down, reaching to hand you yours. His hand was cut off by your boyfriend's arm from behind you, taking the drink and handing it to you. 

“She just stood there, stunned, and I turned around, flipped my hair off the back so she could clearly see the name on the jacket I was wearing, and walked off, looking over my shoulder with a glare,” you smiled.

“Wow,” Cole said. Their faces matched what he said. 

“Show us, the glare,” Nick chimed in.

“Yes do it Y/N,” Kaden said. You recreated the actions from the other night and the boys all smiled. 

“That glare is not one to mess with,” Cole smiled. You reapproached the table after doing the sassy walk away, where your boyfriend's arms quickly wrapped around your waist. 

“Thank you, Thank you,” you smiled waving to them like they were an audience. You glanced up at Juraj’s face seeing it was still unchanged.

“Y/N, I’m getting tired,” he said softly in your ear, “can we go.” You nodded saying bye to your friends before moving into a quieter room.

“Okay what is with you, you love team parties,” you said taking his hands in yours.

“I don’t know okay, you’re amazing, and everyone else is seeing that,” he said, “I just want to make sure I’m still good enough for you,” he sighed. 

“Aww my love, you’re jealous,” you said trying to pull him closer.

“No, am not,” he got defensive.

“Juraj, you are, and it’s okay, I get jealous sometimes too, but I am never going to leave you, okay? You know that, you know I would never, now come on let’s have some fun,” you said before pressing a kiss to his cheek.

“Okay, I’m jealous,” he rolled his eyes, “And I know you won’t leave,” he said forming a smile. 

“Good man, I love you,” you said placing a kiss on his lips. He moved his hand to the back of your head keeping you in the kiss longer than you intended.

“I love you too,” he pulled away, “now who are you jealous of,” he smiled.

“That’s for another time, come on,” you said taking his hand and dragging him back out to the party.
