(Sex)God is so wise! ❤️‍🔥 This morning I woke up to this snow inferno and was so angry. But now I get it. It was such an awesome plan! The moment I saw Jere’s teaser I knew it - Finns were blessed with this snow today so that we can throw ourselves to the cold snow bank to cool down after seeing this BURNING HOT STUFF! 🙏🏼🔥🔥🔥❄️

I can't sleep too, Tell me about Kaarija's armpits 🤕
Ah another pit lover I see 😌 Welcome to the club!
The things I have to say about this man's pits could easily land me in a mental hospital, but I'm willing to take that risk because I just can't stay quiet about it.
Burying my face in his pit is one of my biggest guilty pleasures. Just pressing my face against it, inhaling the delicious musk, letting his pheromones overwhelm my senses and intoxicate me. Also, the thought of cuddling up in bed, my face nestled in his pit while I melt into his embrace... 🥴
As a side note, I've always dreamed of him crushing my skull with those massive biceps, so might as well just let him choke me out with his pit. What a perfect way to go...
And of course, I can't help but imagine how much I'd love to kiss and lick it, trace my tongue along it, savoring the salty taste, especially if he's not shaved... 🤤 God, I'd devour his pit like it's some pussy, as if I were starving and it was my only source of sustenance.
I wonder what kind of delicious sounds he would make…

Boycott Eurovision: Yes or No?
There has been a lot of talk on boycotting Eurovision this year because of the Israeli participation and their qualification to the final. Behind everything of course is the subject of money.
MoroccanOil or however it's spelled is one of the biggest sponsors of the Eurovision Song Contest, not just this year but every year. And guess what country this company is from? You got it. It is therefore logical for audiences to boycott Eurovision by refusing to fund the competition in any way. That includes:
Streaming the competition
Buying merchandise
Attending
Voting
If the EBU is not funded then the profitability of having MoroccanOil as a sponsor (and Israel attending) will drop dramatically.
However.
One must keep in mind a few things:
"The big Five are the biggest sponsors which is why they are automatically qualified to the final". They literally keep 5 countries in the final to entice them to keep paying. IN fairness, this is not as much as you might think but still a substantial amount.
They already banned Russia - a country with an incredibly large amount of people (and therefore potential viewers)
The sponsored money has already been given. This is the money that mostly funds the contest.
The participating countries themselves pay a fee. A fee so big a LOT of Balkan countries can't afford!
Most of the money is used for the incredible staging and other events of the competition.
Boycotting Eurovision now in terms of keeping money away from the EBU doesn't really do much in truth. Go for it if you like. It doesn't hurt. But, watching the contest right now is not really gonna change much. A lot of people are already attending (tickets are like 1000 euro apparently btw).
It doesn't hurt, though it doesn't make much difference either to be completely honest with you. My advice is follow the instructions of your favourite artist. After all, this contest is not just about Israel but about them as well. They've all worked so hard and they've been asked to remove all political messages from their performances which is basically a violation of freedom of speech.
Protesting always helps though it is very hard to do IN the arena.
Voting would help if we were all to vote for one person. We all saw last year how Loreen took the crown from Kaarija even though he had like 1.5 times more public votes. And now, Joost is about to be disqualified (cause apparently he punched an Israeli representative who mocked Joost's dead father???). Not voting would basically mean Israel would win. Why?
Italy is not really a political ally of Israel (an example for that would be apology votes from Germany) yet they gave them 40% in the semi finals vote. 40%!?!?. Israel was not even that high on the trends yet they got 40%. But, at the same time, I do not know many people who watch the semi-finals so those who did are either die hard fans or, if those were protesting, people who explicitly watched for Israel.
The jury will 100% give a lot of votes to Israel. I don't like to say it but their song is EXACTLY the type of song they vote for. Another example might be Greece (they are trying something different from a musical point of view) or France (let's face it that man is an angel). I want to say Switzerland but I would also have said Belgium and look where we are. They SHOULD like Switzerland too. In any case the jury can do SERIOUS DAMAGE (again, why Sweeden won even if tHeY'rE nOt SoRrY tHeY wOn)
Governments can push the jury towards a specific result. We probably know where Belgium's 12 is not gonna go (they cut the broadcast) but this is for example a minister in greece:
Tumblr media
IF the competition ends up going to Israel THEN the real boycott will matter cause it can start earlier. Prevention of countries participating for example. People not attending at all.
But the best result would be to prevent that all together. It doesn't help that Joost (Netherlands) did not perform today at the Jury show but his recording was shown.
That's all.
My advice is don't watch or don't watch israel to send a message but vote for either Greece, Italy, Croatia or Switzerland or all of the above. The Netherlands too if they participate cause even though I don't want the contest to go once again there Joost has fucking earned it.
Edit: the goal was for israel not to participate at all (and honestly Azerbaijan shouldn't either) but they did, they are, we're here now so...unless the artists themselves step down....

2 questions
1) did you have any doubts about the possibility of Kaarija actually WEARING your work? I know many fans gifts often get discarded. Did that chance of it being not used ever occured to you while you were making them?
2) as an american fan myself, could you talk about how it was like going to findland to see a kaarija show? Did you have to jump through hoops to buy a ticket with a foreign card, or navigating without knowing Finnish?
1) I absolutely did not think I'd see them in it, I mentally prepared for them to be discarded 😅 my hope was they would make a cameo in a future OF. Never did I think would I get a story and this soon after. I still keep looking at it in disbelief.
2. Everything was really smooth tbh, my cards worked on the ticket site and everywhere in Finland (except for screw broken HSL machines 🫠). And everyone spoke perfect English, I attempted to speak some Finnish my first day but I failed and was not understood so I was too scared to move beyond "moika", "kiitos" and "anteeks" those are pretty much all you need (for the big city at least). I would just start any interaction with a loud American hello 🫡🦅 and they would just immediately switch to English. I hope for my next visit I'll be a bit more versed in puhekieli 🥲.
All-in-all, The trip was easy to plan, easy to get around (train/tram/bus system is immaculate and so easy to use 😭🫶🏼 I miss it) the P-train doesn't smell like pee at all.
Shout out to the Finns that helped me learn the hsl, and how to navigate though, real mvp's, Isi, skull and Lou 🫶🏼🫶🏼
TYE ONLY HARD AND ANNOYING PART IS LITERALLY KEEPING A DAMN LIST OF EVERYTHING I BOUGHT FOR US BORDER CONTROL. I hate it here 😡

Alright, I’m back with some more assorted thoughts about the full results – several days later than I meant to, but ah well. I ended up doing some analysis on the effect of running order on televote, and it kind of got a bit out of hand… I’m going to put all that on a separate post though – here are just some more thoughts on the detailed voting.
First, I couldn’t find the full breakdown of the televote scores for the semis, they only listed the points given on the official site, and not the full televote order for any given country (at least as far as I could see – do let me know if I’ve missed something!) so I couldn’t find out where exactly the UK ended up ranking Romania and San Marino in the second semi. Maybe that’s for the best – both countries got nil points and I reckon they’re probably bottom two for just about every country voting. It’s a little sad, but also understandable, based on how the vast majority of people reacted to those two entries.
Iceland ended up 11th in semi final 2, although I can’t say they just missed out on qualification, not when there was a full 30 points between them and Estonia in 10th place. I was glad to see Power get some appreciation, and Echo being right behind it in 12th made sense too.
I talked about Latvia being 11th in semi 1 in my last post – but I also found it interesting that the Rest of the World gave them 8 points, even more than they gave Sweden! The Rest of the World vote also gave points to France and Spain in the finals – both songs highly rated by fans in the run-up to the contest, but (especially for Spain) snubbed by the main televote. It seems that this vote is enabling fans worldwide to get involved, and as far as I’m concerned that’s a good thing.
Perhaps the most upsetting result for me is seeing Malta come dead last in the first semi – Romania and San Marino I can cope with, I was sort of expecting it, but I really thought more people would vibe with Dance (Our Own Party), so it’s a real shame to see it score so low.
Looking at the full UK votes breakdown for the final, Serbia came 24th in the televote – since I voted for Serbia, I take full responsibility for them not coming dead last there! Usual suspects were near the top, Lithuania, Poland, though I was glad to see us give our televote 12 to Finland, along with the majority of Europe! Our juries did Finland so dirty though, all but one putting Kaarija in their bottom five! I know nothing about three of our jurors, but two were ex-girl group members, from All Saints and the Sugarbabes – fine people to have on a jury, but I think if there’s only going to be five members, having more than one member from the same background is a bad thing – you need more musical diversity than that.
Perhaps the most notable thing in the voting was the way certain countries plummeted in the televote between the semis and the final. I already touched on Austria, since I thought the running order did not favour them, but Australia were also affected, winning the second semi, yet only getting 21 televote points in the final. I reckon what happened is that once Australia were competing against heavy-hitters from the first semi in the final, all their votes went to countries like Finland instead. It also really didn’t help that Australia were performing so soon after Finland – I think it affected Czechia too, who went from 110 points in the first semi to 35 televote points in the final.
One final thing I want to note, although I have no real explanation for it, just one of those quirks of Eurovision voting I guess, is that Belgium actually placed better in the final than in the semi – Gustaph came 8th in semi 2, but 7th in the final! Estonia did the same, Alika qualifying in 10th, but finishing 8th overall in the final, although this surprises me less, since her song seemed very jury friendly.

You should've gone to Sweden instead of Finland. Fat loser Kaarija lives in Finland, fit winner Queen Loreen lives in Sweden.
some of the most popular pieces of media in china are adaptions of danmei originally published to jjlc, a website forum for self-publishing novels. not all of the novels published there feature boyxboy or girlxgirl romance; some feature het couples and others feature no romance at all.
queer media has a long history in china, but its enjoyed a lot of success both domestically and internationally. netflix (on the usa servers) feature a laundry list of adapted danmei dramas, including 'the untamed' and 'word of honor'. these adaptions had done so well internationally, that the original novels were licensed and published for english speaking audiences. other language translations exist too, for example traditional chinese, korean, thai, and russian.
a fun fact about danmei fans on jjlc is that, a while back, the commentary forum on jjlc was co-oped by fans to discuss politics. of course, discussions about novels, characterizations, themes, etc were also discussed but politics were discussed enough that fans who engaged in these discussions were nicknamed 'little pinks'.
although i personally do not know the exact etymology of the term 'little pinks', i cannot help but make a connection between this term and the name for the youth group during the cultural revolution, the red guard. the chinese word for pink 粉红色 contains the word for red 红色. 'little' is a diminutive, often used in nicknames. these danmei fans are not as politically charged as the red guards were, so they're not as 'red' in color as the red guard but light red, or pink. of course, this is personal speculation and i have yet to find research to suggest this is factual.
either way, isn't it interesting that such a group originally formed on a site dedicated to the self-publication of novels? and particularly in the commentary sections of danmei novels.
if you want some good danmei tv-drama adaptions, my personal favorite is 'the untamed'. xiao zhan 肖战 and wang yibo 王一博 embody their characters and showcase their relationship so well, despite censors
