travis's eyebrows untwist when he hears the bot's voice. he looks up from the script in his hands to turn his head toward her shining face. "hey kitty cat" he grins through the endearment. she's a funny little thing but travis likes her. hell, he's not the picture of normal either. maybe that is the secret of val's crew. they are all odds and ends that somehow work well together.

he breaks into a laugh when she slides herself into his lap. a perfect fit. travis adjusts his reach around her to take the script back in his hands. "you know it. val's got me burning the midnight oil with all these new productions." he confesses wearily. the circles under his eyes are proof. "do i ever. you're a hero. has anyone told you that?" he smiles, placing the script into her mechanical hands. "did big vee send you or did you snag some free time?" maybe val was out shopping. or his ""business partner"" was keeping him busy. "with your help we might have time to watch the rough cuts of the latest film."

"...I don't necessarily hate you. I do hate if you do stupid shit to interfere with me and that's when I call over Val for your...needed correction." Whether it was Kitty getting a little too involved or nosey in her work, spilling drinks on her designs or models or just being an overall nuisance, it can easily increase Velvette's own impatience. Her temper can be raised after all but not as easily as Valentino's. Never did she glance at Kitty while she lounged back, quickly scrolled her phone on one hand with her glass of liquor in the other and briefly took a sip. "I mostly tolerate you. You're not solely my own plaything either to direct a lot my hatred to you, now that would be a waste of time and energy when you're nothing but a gadget. As much of an impulive decision he made to purchase you, we can still make use out of you...but you can also be a pain in the arse at times."

Finally those demonic reds narrowed at the robot before asking, "Now why has such a thought brought you here to tell me that?"

The last thing she wanted was to pay a visit to Voxtex Enterprises after the last disastrous attempt she made at meeting Valentino in his studio, but as Princess of Hell, it was her duty. It was, in fact, a favor to her father to check on something they were contracted to produce. In exchange for him overlooking the hotel for the day and taking care of her lesson plans -- that was sure to go over with the residents well, a lesson on friendship by the King of Hell himself -- Charlie agreed to make the visit.

Her only condition was that she made it alone. Knowing of the... unique relationship Alastor had with one of the heads of the company, Vox, she wasn't about to put him in a situation to deal with him directly.

It turned out there wasn't anything for her to fear, as she found the meeting especially boring. Tech wasn't a topic she was passionate about, unlike the hundreds of pages of notes about her hotel that she could talk about for hours.

It wasn't until Vox left the room that she finally addressed the other constant presence throughout the entire meeting -- the one similar to the many Fizz Bots roaming through Hell. "Hello there! I'm sure you already know, but my name is Charlie." Her face lit up with the greeting, hoping to find someone in the room to connect with.

She wasn't sure what part of the greeting came off as an invitation for Kitty to approach her and plant her lips on Charlie's cheek in a brief kiss. "Oh." Startled, her voice came out as a squeak. Her cheeks flushed a slightly darker shade than usual, but she made no move to push the other girl away. The physical affection wasn't unwelcomed, but she wasn't used to experiencing it from the type of people who resided in Hell and knew who she was. "Umm... Thank you?" Left in the awkward position of not knowing whether she was expected to return the kiss to her cheek or not, all Charlie could do was stare at her.

"maybe we should oil those joints of yours." he smiles at the robot. of all the creatures in this soul sucking corporation, she's bearable. he might even say he's fond of her. "It's something your body doesn't need in the first place. But I suppose I should say it is something to keep you alive and functioning. Think of...your main software that keeps you running--that's basically your heart." She figured it would be best to explain it in simplest terms or how Kitty could easily understand. There shouldn't be a need for her to press further, it wasn't like Velvette's the one to easily provide a living beating heart for her if she wanted. "And for example, if I were to pull that battery or remove that software out of you, you'd fall dead right now never to wake up. Some people have 'em and some just don't...or it's not in their nature to have them. Just don't squander about it too much."

Every emotion that flickered across the hard steel of Kitty's face was carefully monitored. A quiet hum was omitted from his throat as the media overlord studied her processing unit, bending his body down to bring crimson eyes to her level as her internal systems whirled with her thought process.

Her circut board seemed to be processing information just fine. Which was a good thing because it took an incredible amount of time to fix her when that dumb fucking moth decided to take his anger out on her. It was what she was designed for, of course, but it got tiring to clean up all of Val's messes, especially when it messed up expensive and time-consuming equipment.

Satisfied, he stood up, unable to resist a small smirk from peaking out at the eagerness to cooperate Kitty expressed. His words weren't meant to be a diagnostic test, but the misinterpretation meant her primary functions were working. Perfect.

In a better mood now, he placed a hand over her head, blue claws gently tapping against it. "Good job." Really, it was a good job to him. Her system stayed operational because of the work he put into her.

He allowed his hand to linger on her, equally praising himself, before pulling it away to do one last check over her. "You're not damaged anywhere, correct?" He reached down to spread her arms by her side and did a little walk around her, bending once again to check out various parts of her body; all which seemed to be in tact.

as the door clicked shut behind the vees, the room fell into a rare and fragile silence. the kind that only seemed to exist in the quiet after a storm. kitty’s soft mumble hung in the air, a whimsical declaration of self-doubt.

The prince was nonplused by such a question. A date? He couldn't have heard wrong, not with such keen hearing. But even an owl could misinterpret a string of words, right? But perhaps that wasn't what Kitty meant? Stolas gives a low, uncertain chuckle with a tilt of his head. He wouldn't be opposed to spending time with her, if that was what she wondered, but a date was a bit. . . . well, it wouldn't suit his tastes particularly. ❝ Do you have somewhere you want to go? ❞ he asks, beak parting with a friendly smile. He could use the company; maybe she could too.
