ok but "islands in the stream" being first on the playlist is just so perfect.

you know it had to be done!! every time I randomly hear that song I immediately think of them. earlier this year I was on vacation in Eastbourne on the southeast coast of England and one evening as I was looking for a place to have dinner I came across a pub - opened the door - and then immediately had to turn around and leave because the song playing in the pub was islands in the stream and I was overcome. I wound up going someplace else for dinner

here’s the link to the playlist for anyone else who wants to know what’s on it. there are a couple of songs on there that make no sense for this ship, I just included them because I like them and they put me in a good mood 😂

Fyren med smilehuller og jeg er allerede rendt ind i en væg, og det føles alt for tidligt at skulle overveje fremtidsdrømme og eventuelle problemer, der kan opstå i fremtiden. Kommunikation er vigtigt, og jo, det kan da på visse måder være kompliceret at date som voksen, men burde det være så kompliceret allerede?

Samtidig er det jo nogle ret relevante ting, der er værd at overveje, før man springer i med begge ben og forelsker sig. Så er skaden jo sket. Hellere finde ud af, om vi passer sammen, før der er knuste hjertestykker på bordet.

Han vil ikke have børn eller giftes. Dét er nogle store livsvalg at gå på kompromis med. Det kan jeg ikke gå på kompromis med.

Han vil ikke bo hverken i by eller forstad, han vil gerne bo på landet, fordi han nemt bliver overstimuleret. Jeg har ikke kørekort, og jeg elsker at være tæt på byen. På sigt kunne det også skabe problemer/konflikter.

Vi er meget forskellige. Han er så sød. Jeg har ikke haft det sådan her med nogen i evigheder. Men jeg er for gammel til at smide al logik og praktisk tankegang ud ad vinduet. Jeg nægter at forelske mig i nogen, jeg ikke kan se en fremtid med

It's mashed potatoes with bacon! and beets! (tho I sadly don't like beets so I tend to skip that XD ) I bet the dish is called something else in English I just don't know what it is "brændende kærlighed" translate to "burning love" and I think that's such a lovely name for a dish :D

I just found an older Danish podcast where they had a talk with Jonas' physio/massage guy and apparently he told them that Jonas only uses his phone for calls and messages with family and friends, and doesn't watch much TV. Which is not really surprising. But that also means that he doesn't really keep up with news and social media.

He did say that besides cycling, Jonas really likes tennis, so they watch Wimbledon together. Trine agreed to the statements and when asked if Jonas watches any reality, she said that he apparently likes "Landmand søger kærlighed" which is the Danish version of "Farmer wants a wife".

This is not really revolutionary information and you probably knew it already, but I just like the idea of Jonas choosing to watch a few farmers quest for love, of all things.
