i love pawlikowska-jasnorzewska, she's one of my favorite polish poets, so i was more than happy to write an analysis of one of her poems for my advanced lit classes.

slowly but surely working my way through macromolecules. today i ran a 5k and finished 5th on our cross country team with a time of 24:38 !! on saturday, i will be competing in my first ever varsity race (i will be like the last to finish, but i am super excited and looking forward to the experience) !!

8.17.19 - fulfillment of three s’s (salad, self-care via discord conversations with @jynsdesk, and scheduling in my bullet journal for the new school year)

finally another post!! summer is ending & my sat is next week and that pit in my stomach keeps growing :’) so to counteract that, after volunteering today, i went to a chopt and got a nice salad because in my experience, eating overpriced healthy food makes me feel unstoppable

i’ve decided to restart my bullet journal because i wasn’t pleased with my other one(s). the first page is titled [reset.gif] to represent how it’s ok to reset your life and that it’s an ongoing process to do so. summers are always so miserable for me that i’m actually anticipating the start of senior year despite the major stress of college apps T^T hope everyone has a lovely day !! ♡

studygram: i started it today! i’m not sure how often i’ll be on there, and i’ve never used instagram before, but you guys can watch me be a noob for a little while lol. i’ll most likely be posting the same kind of content—bujo, notes, music, and maybe other bits of my life.

🌿🎨challenge 1: exploring art⬇

Wanted to update, we've started drawing! Today's Day 2 actually!

This is one of my favourite things in my "couple things to do in the next few years" list (you can find updates & the list itself under my "my creative bucketlist" tag) and I'm very excited for the upcoming journey 🌿

I'm basically going to draw something, anything really, for the next thirty days. I'm going to be updating everyday on ig stories.

🌙 Here's my rough plan for beginning my art journey thingy majigy —

First 30 days: draw anything that inspires you. I followed more than 50+ art ig accounts to draw anything that they've drawn which I love.

Next 30-50 days: mix styles of 2-3 artists (this is my trial & error method for finding my own art style) and draw stuff that's a combination of them.

Next: start drawing from references! Instead of copying other artists, now I would wanna pick a topic, look at some google images and draw.

Then on: ??? Do whatever! Honestly haven't thought that far ahead, we'll wing it

I must admit, I'm not new to art, for I learnt art (sketching & water colour painting) for 5 or so years but I haven't touched it properly for like 4 years now so I've completely forgotten everything. Yet, I'm ready to learn! Let's go!!!

This entire creative thing/process means a lot to me so I'd really appreciate if you'd support! Feel free to follow me on IG or Tumblr, I'll be updating as much as I can on both :)

2. what’s your major/what do you think you want to major in?

OOF the most difficult question because i am doing SO MUCH but let’s see if i can get it. i am doing an interdisciplinary major that combines the disciplines of communications, law, economics, and government (so i take a bunch of classes in those subjects) - that combined makes CLEG, which is the name of my major. i am also double minoring in computer science and IT so people like to say i’m doing six minors (it’s a show let me tell you lol)

3. if applicable, what is your thesis about?

i am still in undergrad so no thesis paper (yet hehe), but i am doing an independent study this semester looking at the legalities of artificial intelligence and robots in law, and the human rights implications associated with tech in the law (very similar to the kind of career i want to pursue in the future) 

9. favorite class out of everything you’ve ever taken and why?

def. the independent study that i’m doing right now because it’s finally something that combines all my interests: law, technology and human rights. my prof is just the coolest and i’m doing all sorts of amazing research. it’s kind of like a side project but i’m getting a grade and credit for it?? it’s amazing
