Michigan case offers an example of how public trust suffers when police officers lie

One of my reasons why I don't trust the police system here. I've been a victim of police intimidation, lies and misinformation from them. @policedepartmentsinUSA @police

We The People for a Better America!
I am ashamed of the State of our Union and what our government has become! Democrats and Republicans have a Despotic Hold on America their only Agenda is full and total control of the people. The Democrats and Republicans Stopped Caring about and looking after the Interests of the People long ago after they let Big Corporations and Wealthy Elites Buy them out! It is Time to Clean up Washington and put the People first again! My Plan for America is: 1. I will Fight for Free Universal Healthcare. I believe that Healthcare is a Basic Human Need and God-Given Right and Americans shouldn't have to be in Debt for life because of Pre-Existing Conditions, or an Average ER or Doctor Visit. Americans Should not be paying $800+ for Live Saving Prescriptions like Insulin 2. I will Fight for Free Universal Education. Our Educations is extremely broken and underfunded. Students are Falling Behind, Not Getting a Lunch because they cant Pay, or choosing to skip college out of fear of being in debt for decades because of rising student debt from loans. This needs to change no American should have to go broke or fall behind because they wanted a better education and could not afford it! 3. I will Fight for Justice Reform. America Leads the world in the rate of Incarcerated people per capita, and we waste upwards of $80 billion annually keeping Americans locked up for mostly petty crimes like possession of marijuana, petty thefts, etc. We need to be focusing on more serious crimes like Murder, Rape, Robbery, Serious Assaults, Auto Theft, and Domestic Violence. Our current system is just causing an undue burden on our courts and law enforcement officials   4. I will Fight for Civil Rights and work to end Hatred and Racism in America! I will call out and go after and all Hate groups in America and I will work to end the unjust killings of young minorities by Law Enforcement Officials in this country it is plain out disgusting, I thought we got passed this already? 5. I will Fight for Immigration Reform. I believe that you cannot enforce illegal immigration on Stolen land! America is a nation that was born out of illegal immigration and Illegal immigration will always happen. I fully Support Immigration into our Nation welcome people who want to come here to better their lives and be productive citizens but if you want to come to America, Break our laws, and be an Unproductive Citizen you will be arrested, you will go to jail, and you will be deported plain and simple. 6. I will fight for Veterans Reform. I am tired of seeing Homeless Veterans, or Veterans not getting the correct care they need, or just the plain out disrespect our men and women in uniform receive its plain out unacceptable 7. I will End All Wasteful Government Spending and Put America into a Surplus and not a Deficit. We have a Constant Rising Debt Ceiling and Deficit because of Big Government Wasteful Spending on things like the Failed war of Drugs that we spend $50+Billion on annually with no real change in sight,  We Spend $80+ Billion on Keeping Prisons and jails Full, That's $130 Billion Taxpayer Dollars that could be going into Ending Homelessness and Hunger or into Social Security, or maybe into Education since we only spend 7.1 billion on Education annually!  8. I will Fight for a $15-$20 Federal Minimum Wage and put a cap on the ever-rising Cost of Living. I am tired of average Americans struggling to live while the Wealthy Elites and Bought out Bureaucrats live all cozy on American Taxes and Labor 9. I will Rais the Taxes on the Wealthy and Big Corporate Businesses and Lower Taxes on the Lower and Middle Classes so that we can equalize and close the Wealth to Poverty gap in America! 10. I will Fight Standing side by side with America and Not Big Government in Fighting to End Homelessness and Hunger in America
If you wish to support my campaign, as I lead the people into Washington to reclaim America for We The People!

Repost from @rocnation @TopRankRepost #TopRankRepost We are thrilled that the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has directed Judge Brinkley to immediately issue an order releasing Meek on bail. As we have said all along, Meek was unjustly convicted and should not have spent a single day in jail. We are also pleased that the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has noted that Judge Brinkley may opt to remove herself from presiding over any further proceedings in Meek’s case in the interests of justice. Meek is excited to be reunited with his family, and we, along with Meek, intend to continue to shine the light on a justice system in need of reform to prevent any other citizen from being put through what Meek has endured. #WelcomeHomeMeek #justicereformnow #hiphop #Philly

About the movement
RIGHT NOW, we have a critical opportunity to pass historic federal legislation and move closer to ending mass incarceration in America.
With your help, we can reform mandatory minimum sentencing, "ban the box," establish alternatives to incarceration, and provide comprehensive re-entry assistance to men and women returning home from prison.
Together, we can push Congress and President Obama to take action to roll back the incarceration industry in America - sign our petition.
Support this Movement and help us bring about policy changes that keep people out of prison who don’t need to be there, and ensure that our justice system helps to heal communities, families and individuals.

We believe the United States should be a nation committed to justice and fairness, not one that incarcerates more than any other. The Senate could make history and pass sentencing reform in 2016. The Sigma family is encouraging the senate majority leader to bring it up for a vote immediately. #SGRho #SigmaGammaRho #GoldenAlert #SentencingReform #JusticeReformNow

The two leading presidential candidates either support or at least aren’t bothered by the school to prison pipeline or privately owned prisons and how they incentivize locking people away. I think most of us also know that, in this case, “people” means “black people” and that generally means “black men” though no POC is safe.
Also, our prison system is the leading provider of mental “healthcare”, putting people with mental illnesses in extreme danger, too. And anyone who’s poor does not fare well in this climate as access to good legal representation in our current system is nearly impossible.  A public defender has little to no chance against a DA and a Judge and a system where putting people away means more money.
We need to change something. I’m not sure that this petition is the answer, but I know it DOES spark a conversation, so take a look at it. You may or may not agree with it but hopefully it will get you thinking about the issue so that we the people can all start really holding our candidates’ feet to the fire.
