Further 911 observations, about halfway through s4:

- hello everyone who followed me because of my post at from the start of s3. you are all very lovely and the number of times that post has been tagged with “you’ve got a big storm coming” strikes fear into my heart

- with most shows only a week or two passes in-universe between episodes at most, but 911 will timeskip from one trauma to another one months later so you don’t have to waste time on any of that “healing” and “having a normal time” nonsense. excellent choice, no notes.

- shoutout to the little kid playing christopher because he’s genuinely great

- sad dad bobby has captivated me. i am very biased because six feet under was deeply formative for me, but i love how he looks like the dullest man alive but is actually deeply weird. stress baking. hall monitor vibes while lying to conceal his secret past. guilt-ridden and making dark jokes to his priest. SO damaged. no. 1 wife guy to athena. former child figure skating champion. i love him.

- you know what? shannon did nothing wrong. past eddie sucks and left her literally holding the baby with next to no support. justice4shannon.

- i don’t think these people should all be going to the same therapist, but okay

- chim and maddie!! chim and maddieeeee!! god i love that maddie just locked onto chim like a short king-seeking missile. they are extremely hashtag goals.

- also really appreciate that buck didn’t no homo at josh suggesting that maddie might be trying to set them up (“if he didn’t know better” c’mon josh you were hoping. unfortunately you’re like three seasons too early.) he’s very good at being bi but not knowing it yet :)

- eddie was SO desperate to get in that hole. makes you think.

- the guy playing buck is SO good at looking devastated. men, what’s stopping you from looking like this? *holds up a picture of buck clawing at the sodden ground with his bare hands while out of his mind with grief and panic*

- feeling v smug because i guessed the buckley family secret like an episode and a half before the reveal with only the hint “everyone knows except for him”

Just me sitting at home getting up in my feelings about the fact that they really killed Shannon like that. Ran her over with a car in the middle of the road. And for why? For why? She was a beautiful mother and the writers took her from us. From all of us. I'm simply ✨not okay✨ and not over it.

They didn't have to do that to her. They really didn't.

And now I'm out here up in my fucking feeling about it.

Really did Shannon Diaz dirty like this. And for why? Why tho?

I wanna talk about Shannon Diaz for a bit.

I make a lot of memes about her and such but honestly I have many many feelings that I usually put in my tags but fuck it here we go.

First of all people really do be out here thinking she was ‘in the way’ of buddie don’t they, like don’t get me wrong I very much ship buddie but Shannon wasn’t ever going to be in the way of that! My dudes the woman had literally asked Eddie for a divorce! There was absolutely no damn need to kill her! none! And that is a hill I will die on.

The potential she had my dudes! THE POTENTIAL! She didn’t even need to be a regular character! She could have gone off to do the healing that she needed and wanted to do and Chris could have still seen his mum and Eddie and Shannon could have healed together! Could have learnt to communicate better together!

I get people don’t like that she left and should she have left her kiddo ? Maybe not. but her mother was literally dying, and nobody was listening to what SHE NEEDED! She needed to be heard and it wasn’t happening!

Shannon had been raising a child with special needs on her own while her husband was off at war on a tour that she hadn’t even be consulted about living near her husbands fam who were clearly not healthy to be around. Eddie was absolutely not a good a husband! And here’s the thing you can absolutely love Eddie and still think he wasn’t a great husband! Shannon was absolutely not the only one at fault here and it needs to be said!

And let’s talk about how her death brought an insane amount of trauma to both Chris and Eddie! Eddie was literally called to the scene! he was WORKING the scene! he literally watched his wife die. He then had to tell his son that! AND THEN when it was time for his wife’s funeral his parents were like “haha we still don’t think what you’re doing here is working come back to Texas” like no! Fuck no wonder Shannon left when she did we truly don’t get given the full scale of what Shannon went through while being at home with Chris and having Eddie parents around! Like what were they saying to her! They straight up told Eddie to his face not to bring Chris down with him!!! WHAT 👏🏻 WERE 👏🏻 THEY 👏🏻 SAYING 👏🏻 TO 👏🏻 SHANNON!!! That got away from me slightly the point still stands ✨unnecessary trauma

Eddie literally admits that he was also at fault during their marriage! I just want ya’ll to think of the possibilities for a moment!

Shannon lives she and Eddie get a divorce! They become friends! They learn to communicate ITS A BEAUTIFUL THING!

Chris gets to have his mum around he sees her more! He gets to stay with her! They HEAL.

And now the big one I wanna talk about Buck and Shannon! I genuinely believe they would have been really good friends! @faewithfangs said maybe not at first! because Buck would be all up in his Eddie feelings” and she’s damn right. But after that!! Holy fuck they would have been really close!

Eddie would be having to deal with his best friend and his ex wife getting up to all kinds of shenanigans! They would absolutely plan Chris’s birthday party’s together! I feel like he would have ended up being super protective of her!

I’m choosing to believe that the reason the writers killed her was because she was entirely too powerful! Buddie would already be a thing because Shannon simply wouldn’t stand for this pining! She’d be the one who got them together. She’d watch the flirting and co-parenting Chris and then be like what in the fuck ???? Shannon Diaz would have played matchmaker! She’d straight up tell Buck “you’re in love with Eddie, he’s in love with you you can thank me by making me your best woman at the wedding” boom done.

Shannon Diaz was beautiful goddess who deserved to live she would have been a fucking excellent character and I would have loved to have seen grow!

In conclusion their marriage fuckup was down to both of them.

Had she lived they would have worked through their problems and become friends and co-parents.

Once again I’m out here asking why don’t people like her ????

Shannon diaz deserved better.

We were ROBBED.

We all need to learn to love Shannon because she is absolutely not the villian the show tried to make her out to be!
