BREAKING: The Judge AND Jury (11-1 vote) Just Ruled that John Cowell - the white cis male, white supremacist who murdered #NiaWilson and stabbed her Sister Letifah Wilson at the MacArthur BART Station In July 2018 was SANE (not insane, which is what his defense has been arguing) at the time of the crime!!!! This means HE WILL FACE PRISON and not a mental institution. Sending so much love to the Wilson Family and ALL Of the people who have supported, cared for them, prayed for them and all of us, sent metta, poured water, cast spells, made art, and everything. He is inspired by Gordon Parks, Carrie Mae Weems, Eli Reed, Ruddy Roye and others who bring awareness to the diverse lived experiences of communities of color. His photos serve to reframe the message and to bring attention to the injustices impacting people of color. Amir attended Howard University where he received his degree in Political Science and African American History.
