I'm not sure how I feel about everything. Allegedly John Cowell (murderer) was caught while following a mother and her child, who were most likely his next targets. I want to know why he did it, but I know there's nothing he can say that will justify any of it. I'm just angry. And I know that we won't know his motives for sure until after the interrogation and investigation, but I really deep in my soul KNOW it was a hate crime. According to a BART.GOV profile study done in 2015 white people made up 47% of the riders at MacArthur station while black people make up 20%. 52% of riders were male and 48% were female. So about 9.5% of MacArthur bart passangers are black women/girls.
