ive already said but genuinely the cancellation of dead boy detectives makes me feel incredibly distraught, hopeless and frustrated. whats with all the good shows with representation of minorities getting cancelled early huh? i cant help but think its not just a coincidence that the shows that have a million seasons are heterosexual rubbish. dead boy detectives, even in its short run, has the best representation of queer characters i have ever seen. its everything i have ever wanted as a gay teenage boy. this show very very quickly became my life. i watched the whole thing in just one day. when i caught my dad watching it i got so incredibly happy. i hadnt mentioned it to him before but he was watching it and i told him how much i love it and was getting my best friends to watch it. at some point im gonna watch it with my boyfriend and im so excited. i dont care if ive watched it once, twice, more times i'll watch it again.

For a show that got me into reading fanfiction, posting on Tumblr, writing and posting fanfics, joining fandom spaces like discord and even a google classroom I really don’t give it enough credit.

This show and these characters have changed my life for the better helped so many people, including me, through this difficult year.

Thank you everyone who has made this show possible and to everyone continuing to fight for this show. You guys are crazy (in the best way) and I am so proud to be part of such a dedicated fandom <3

That show was AMAZING it did excellently with reviews, streamed relatively well, and was overall a success

but they tossed it the fucking trash because of greed or stupid fucking gaimen or whatever

Guys im NOT taking this shit i know it never works, but let’s get petitions, online protests, and everything else going

i love dbda but i also love fashion history so i was very triggered when edwin said emma died in the late 1800s when she very clearly died in the mid 1800s

i would say the 1850s but the latest she could’ve died was in the 1860s

i used this as the reference because you can’t see her full outfit in the show. it’s not very historically accurate but it is clearly 1850s

just look at how similar they are. you cannot tell me she isn’t from the 1850s which classifies as mid 1800s not late 1800s edwin
