What does the earliest seed of a fic look like to you? Does it arrive fully formed and all at once or do you mull it over for a long while or something else entirely?

i am about to out myself as truly insane but i don’t get full story ideas, i get a vibe which is a line sometimes, or a story title, or a what if scenario (AU), or i read a poem and think this is a cool vibe, then i sit down and write with that and see where it goes. and while i’m writing, the story comes together by itself

here are two examples from my ideas doc where i put my hallucinations:

timestream - clerith, in every life i choose you

past/present - than and zag grow up. There are all kinds of love in the world but never the same love twice.

so i just start with some feeling or vibe like this and write and while writing it just turns into a story, usually things like the above will become a <4k word one shot which is most of what i write lol. i realize this is insane but because i don’t plan or outline, the only way for the story to develop is if i actually just sit down and write it and then make a few edits once i realize what the actual story is when it’s revealed to me 💀

After avoiding spending a whole season avoiding avoiding out of order episodes and bible leaks I gotta say I’m really happy I experienced everything blindly.

Past seasons I watched whatever came out and got too nosey when it came to leaks but since this season had a greater significance in watching everything in order I really challenged my self-restraint.💀

I was constantly surprised and shocked over things with no idea what to expect. It really kept me on my toes. Watching the final felt so rewarding. Overall I love this season! There are a few things I did not care for (or liked) but its so minor compared to everything else.

All this to say I swear to god next season better be better at airing episode order and preventing big leaks slipping into the fandom. I felt more removed from the fandom more with this season than any other. I kept to my circle of friends to discuss the episodes and theorized events. Just do I could avoid somebody adding spoilery comments on my posts (which happened a few times) or because the fandom itself was just all on different pages so when episodes came we were all posting about it at different times.

Shout-out to those who watched ahead or looked at leaks and didn’t spoil it for everyone else. Thank you for tagging everything and not hoping on posts alluding to events to come.

I know its too much to ask ZAG to do something right for once and figure out a good airing schedule but a girl could dream. 🙂

There once was a sloth, and it was a nimble sloth, unlike any of the other sloths in the Sloth Kingdom. It was swift - it did a lot of cardio. Chin-ups on the branches and running along the river and Zumba. And one Tuesday, around brunch time, the sloth was sitting up high, high in a sycamore tree in the jungle, just spinning its web. Spinning its big old sloth web and catching -- “What do sloths catch?” you may ask. That's right - pineapples. Catching all the pineapples in its big sloth web...for supper, and then the sloth opened up its window - its stained glass window that opened upwards, and looked down at the jungle room floor and all the cobbles, and out of all the fog and the steam, there came galloping a…goose. And the goose clip-clopped up to the tree, barking at all the cats, and the goose yelled up at the sloth, "LOOK AT YOU, SLOTH, SO FULL OF VIM! YOU BRING SHAME ON YOUR PEOPLE!" and with those words, the goose did tunnel away, zig zagging across the desert dunes. But, the words of the goose stuck in the sloth's mind, and with each passing day, the sloth got lazier and slower ‘till it was as slow and as lazy as all the other sloths in the Sloth Kingdom.

One bank holiday, the goose was trotting along a meadow of wheat, corn, and oats - the kind of meadow used for making cheerios -- a cheerios meadow. Just bounding along on all fours and crowing gaily at the moon, "A cockle-doodle-do, a cockle-doodle-do to you," when out of the bracken, swept a crocodile, and he pinned the goose to the ground with his mighty talons, butting him with his horns and pushing him further and further into the lava, and the goose cried out in sonar "Help me!" he cried, “Help me, for I am in peril!" but the sloth, who was in a tire swing down by the bayou, was too slow. He was too slow and too lazy to make it down there in time and the crocodile ate the goose, and the goose died in his belly, and a nearby pig said, “he deserved that,” and then the crocodile drove over and ate the sloth.

And the moral of that story is: Lucas is a cunt.

Originally I was just gonna make a meme ab this w a gif of that clown drinking and call it a night, but actually I’m more upset ab this then I realize so let’s talk ab it.

Assuming one season comes out per year (which, with this show, is a stretch) I will be 27 when this show hits its final seasons. I started watching it when I was 12. That is 15 YEARS. For perspective on just how long that is for a tv show, that’s just 8 years short on how long SpongeBob has been around. That show is on its 13th season, and we all know what capitalism did to it when it’s not even plot heavy.

Do. Not. Milk. This. Show.

Contrary to salters opinions, I don’t think it has been milked so far: it was always planned for five seasons and we are just hitting season 5. It only feels like milking bc it’s been so many years, but that’s only due to terrible scheduling and the infamous two year hiatus.

They later confirmed two more seasons, and while seven seasons was already a stretch bc it was, again, always planned to end with season 5, it can be maybe tolerated. Beyond that is just insanity.

I love this show a lot, ok. I know it has flaws but it’s been such a huge source of comfort for me (and I’m hyper fixated lmao). I don’t want to see it reduced to a soulless cash grab. Ik ZAG has always been motivated by money in a lot of ways, and that sometimes they peek their way into the show, I’m not naive, but the heart of the story still shines in that it is not ONLY motivated by money. You can see it in the way seasons continue to advance/get better (IMO) and in the way we are still in love with these characters after so long. Extending this show to season 7, when it was always supposed to end at 5, put it at risk of lower quality, but going past that solidifies it.

Don’t be fooled. They do NOT have ideas that go up to 12 seasons. They want to make money. Season 8 and beyond will only happen for money. Call me pessimistic but rarely do you see a show extended like this that ends up good. Miraculous deserves to end on a good note and I feel that will not happen if it continues down this route. I am a normal amount of upset rn I swear.

Thomas chuckled wholeheartedly, his eyes creasing in that way that left Y/n love-struck. “I agree with you on that one, amore.” He mused, walking down the stairs, seeing Y/n on the couch.

His hoody extended way past her mid-thighs and hands, making her look like his own cute little mushroom.

“Ugh never take it off.” He commented, a grin spreading on his face that was soon replicated by Y/n’s. She spread out her arms, beckoning for him to come over as if she were a baby.

“Wow, you really are kissable.” He said, pressing soft pecks to Y/n’s neck. The girl giggled in glee as Thomas picked her up and flipped her around. Her legs were soon over his back, hanging on while he kept nibbling at her neck.

“Thom, please, it tickles!” She snorted, making both of them burst out laughing.

“Alright, alright. What movie did you want to watch?”

“I don’t know.”

“Not this again!” Thomas complained, the exact timeline of the night clear in his mind. It always happens! It’s a damn movie we’ll fall asleep anyway.

“I’m sorry but I don’t know!!”

Thomas puffed, pushing her up against the pillows and sitting down comfortably on her lap. “Alright then. I will be sleeping. Watch what you want.”

“You impatient baby.” Y/n sighed, shuffling a bit so that she would be sitting comfortably too.

As she started scrolling through the endless list of movies Netflix seemed to have, she felt Thomas’s slim fingers on her thigh. What’s he writing? She started paying more attention to the movements of his fingers.

A straight line formed. I, ok. A curved line. A coma, maybe? A deep V next, an E. I’ve? A line and two bubbles, another two combs, a zig zag. Been. I’ve been. Another slightly changed zig-zag, a comb, a flipped V and a line across it, another zig-zag, a line, zig-zag and a curved line with a straight edge. What the hell? Meaning?

Y/n’s heart sank. He was trying to tell her something. Oh god, she had overheard him talking on the phone with Damiano a few days ago about something expensive. A ring? Is that what it was? Was he gonna propose to her?

She continued following his signs. I’ve been meaning to contact you- what the hell are you writing? Confusion clouded her mind, brows furrowed together. About. He talked to her everyday? What would he contact her about, of all things?

I’ve been meaning to contact you about your car’s extended warranty.

“THOMAS RAGGI!” She yelled, shooting up from her seat. Thomas fell on the ground, cackling like a maniac and clutching onto his stomach for dear life.

“Oh god! I felt you tense up! You were so hopeful!” He let out in between cackles, choking on his laugh, tears already falling down his face.

Y/n was sitting cross-legged on the couch, giving him a death glare but secretly amused by the situation too. “Oh puppy, your cheeks are so red.” He whispered as he went back to cuddle her.

“Because of you, asshole!” She giggled as he blew a gust of cold wind against her legs. “Thomas!”

Picking her up, he jumped up a few times, earning what could only be described as blood curling screams, before he plopped against her on the pillows.

The sat like that for a few moments, taking in each other. How they smelled, the way their breathing was uneven…

“Hey Y/n.”

“Hmm?”

“Will you pet my hair?” He asked softly, snuggling his face into her stomach- and well, his hoodie.

Y/n brought her hands to his silky locks and began untying any knots. It was pretty smooth so she decided to scrape her nails on his scalp. Thomas breathed out heavily at the feeling and nuzzled into her even more, just like a kitten.

It wasn’t long before he had drifted to sleep. Y/n leaned down, pressing a kiss to his forehead before letting herself doze off too, with Thomas tucked safely in her arms.

Yeah I picked up on most of that stuff while playing, its definitely not all Meg since Zagreus was the one who messed up their relationship in the first place, and there are so many times where he asks her something or talks about her character to someone else that shows he clearly does not understand her motivations lmao. Like when he said Meg was going to be furious when she finds out Nyx fired Dusa. Like uhh dude u rlly think Meg?? Would get mad at Nyx??? Lmao, no.

Maybe there's more for me to see, but I've had Meg's path fully unlocked for many runs now, and they've had sex together once and once with Than. But afterwards Zagreus is still like "so wait are you mad at me or anything??" Like, he doesn't sound convinced that she likes him and he doesn't seem to understand her. Ive never seen Meg express affection other than the gifts and through sex, and then I see the way she talks to Dusa where she's pretty damn friendly and swears that she'll back off of Zag at the smallest word, im like... okay then...

And don't get me wrong its perfectly fine even if their relationship was just sex, the thing that bothered me was how she talks about it. "If you want this to keep up between us here's the two things you need to do." Expressing her expectations for the relationship is great. Not asking about what he's looking for in turn, less so. (I could have just missed a convo where she does ask him tho?)

Their fighting dialogue is definitely on better terms now though, and Meg even defends him from Electo when she talks smack, lol. I don't expect Meg to be a softie, and I figure a huge part of the appeal of her romance path is slowly gaining her respect as a hard-earned-love kind of thing. I had just hoped that by now she would talk to him in the lounge similar to how she talks to Dusa? Maybe what Im feeling is Meg's attempts to keep her professional life separate from her romantic one even though they're well past that point, since a lot of the random events I have are super out of order. One time Meg literally told Zagreus that he has no hope of finding his mother even if he manages to escape but I..... had already brought Persephone back 💀

Maybe there's more to the character arc that I haven't seen yet but uh, Im thinking about how Meg is only okay with Zagreus because trying to escape is his job now.

Before this, she basically called him lazy and immature and accused him of running from his duties. Meanwhile he had tried to take many types of jobs but his abusive piece of shit father made it nearly impossible to work even though Zagreus was making an effort. Finding out about his mother was just the final push to making him feel like he had to leave his abusive environment.

(Also don't @ me but Than was pretty selfish to get mad at Zagreus for not saying goodbye before running away from his abusive household like, hello?? Sir get your head out of your ass and support him?? Not everything is about u he's literally being abused?? Sorry he didn't think about your feelings while his dad was literally trying to kill and isolate him)

So like I respect Meg's dedication to her job 100%, she's a fury, she does what needs to be done. It just doesn't sit right with me that she decided to get back together with Zagreus after showing exactly Zero support for him trying to escape his abuser. And I haven't seen any indication that if Zagreus started defying his father again that she would even hesitate to put all her effort into stopping him.

Thanatos wasn't trying to like, punish Zagreus for disobeying his abuser, he was just being selfish because he didn't want to see Zagreus leave. And him realizing his feelings has made it easier for him to come to terms with the situation, and he! Actually started helping Zagreus behind Hades' back!! He directly spoke to Hades to try and end the conflict even though he was way out of turn, professionally. Like, good on him.

But Meg? It really feels like her relationship is a tightly wound string that's ready to snap any second. Zagreus doesn't seem to know how to talk to her, nor is he convinced that she likes him even after they have sex lmao. The way things are going in my game rn really feels like "lets not talk about how shitty I was to you in the past because the sex is good. For now."
