We Deserve Only Good Things by ThornedRose44
“Are you Lena? The girl jolted in her spot on the sofa, hugging the bear closer to her chest. “Yes.” Even though Kara had known it from the second she had laid eyes on the child, the confirmation still managed to take her by surprise. “Who are you?” Lena asked, trying to sound as confident as she could. “Oh, my name’s Kara.” Kara replied warmly, taking a step forward, eager to move closer to offer reassurance before halting the second she saw the younger version of her once best friend flinch. “It’s okay,” Kara quickly soothed, “It’s okay. I won’t hurt you.” Lena peered over the top of her bear’s fuzzy head, “Promise?” Kara knelt down and smiled brightly, “Promise.”
or
Following Lex’s defeat, Kara and Lena are struggling to rebuild their friendship and let go of the hurt caused on both sides when Kara and Lena work together to help an alien return home. To show their gratitude for being saved the alien provides the two of them a chance to close the rift still between them. How? By getting them to meet each other's younger selves.

S6. Reconciliation is hard but they get help. Hits you right in the feels - and hard. SO well done, truly its a gem. Meeting little Kara and Lena was a real treat, wish we'd had more of that in the show. She writes them both so well and just knows how to cut them to the core. Brilliant!

something so precious about this (oh what a sin) by Just_As_Sane
Small folded pieces of paper begin to gather in her wallet. There’s swans, cute puppy faces with tiny noses drawn on them, various sized stars and there’s fish, frogs even a dinosaur.
But mostly there’s hearts.
She tries not to read too much into it.
or
Kara makes little origami creations and gives them to Lena, and Lena being the complete and utter sap that she is, loves them with all her heart.

I adore this one. Its so soft and sweet and comforting. All fluff, no angst. Definitely one of my go-to comfort fics. (and i am absolutely like this Lena when im in love lol)

What's gonna be left of the world if you're not in it? by ThornedRose44
If Lena didn’t know any better she would say she was being haunted. By an actual ghost. But Lena knew better. She had one of the highest IQ’s in the country. So Lena knew better.
THE JUST LIKE HEAVEN AU

r: teen and up
This ones a lot funnier than it might sound. It gets a bit sad and sappy later, but that makes the story even better. Very happy ending (Kara is not actually dead). Also if you haven't already do check out all her fics. (tho i probably recd them all by now)

i love that i know you (like no one does) by robie
“Help me understand,” Kara says. “Are you saying everyone falls in love with their best friend?”
“I’m saying that queer women have a special affinity for it,” Lena repeats, fishing the cherry out of the bottom of her drink. “The whole ‘falling for your straight best friend’ is basically a rite of passage.”
“Says who?”
“Everyone.” She puts the cherry in her mouth, bites it off the stem. “The L Word was like, built on the premise that a friend group of queer woman in LA dated each other in some sort of terrible repeating circle for, god, however many seasons that went on. And it’s been my experience that when two people are attracted to each other, and they’re close, feelings are likely to develop.”
“That’s just, I mean, come on.” Kara’s cheeks are a little pink. “A trope and a tv show? That’s your evidence?”
“So you’ve never been in love with your best friend?” Lena looks down at her empty glass.
“No!” Kara sounds affronted. “No, I have never been in love with my best friend.”

A love story, told in three acts.

Sooo they totally fall in love of course, it just takes a while - cue jUsT fRiEndS shenanigans. Like so so many of them. Lots of pinging, a little angsty but eventually they stop being dumb. So so so well written.

safe and sound
this story contains age regression (which is always sfw!), please do not interact if this is not for you!
hi and welcome to my acc!! ☀️i hope that this can be not only my safe space but yours too!!
this is a supercorp x little!reader story that i hope will turn into a multi-part/multi-story universe :D
word count: 1346
🧸🍄☀️
It was the weekly game night; except this week you were beyond exhausted and couldn’t fathom having to go and be social for a few hours. Even if it was with your best friends and you knew they’d understand if you weren’t completely yourself tonight, you just didn’t want to let anyone down.
You ended up having to go straight from CatCo to Kara’s apartment because Andrea needed you for something last minute. The exhaustion was getting worse, and you felt like you were holding on by a very thin thread.
“Y/n!! Hey!” Kara greeted you with a hug as you entered, you had to fight to not break down in her arms right there and then.
“Hi, sorry I’m a little late, Andrea caught me as I was getting ready to leave”. Kara waved you off,
“Please there’s no need to apologise, besides it seems like it’s going to be a small group tonight. Alex and Kelly are home with Esme, she’s feeling a little sick and then Brainy called saying that he and Nia won’t be able to make. So, we were thinking, since it’s just you, Lena and I we could just order in and watch movies instead?”
You almost sighed in relief, “that sounds wonderful Kara, it’s been a day today.”
Kara smiled softly at you and rubbed your back as you both moved into the living room where Lena was waiting on the couch.
“Hey Lena” You sighed as you slumped down next to her.
Lena laughed gently, “hi love, long day huh?”.
You nodded, not trusting that you wouldn’t just burst into tears if you spoke.
“Food is on its way, what movie were we thinking?” Kara said as she sat on the other side of you.
You just shrugged and started playing with your fingers. Lena looked over to her girlfriend with a furrowed brow, trying to communicate the worry she was feeling for the youngest member of the group.
“Hey y/n, you okay? I know you had a bit of a hard day today, do you wanna talk about it?” Kara began rubbing your back in soothing circles. You bit the inside of your cheek to keep yourself from crying but it was becoming harder to hold in. Lena noticed this and tucked a piece of hair behind your ear,
“If you need to cry honey, you can. We won’t judge you; you know that.” You knew the brunette was right, but that wasn’t what you were worried about. It’s been a long time since you allowed yourself to regress, and you were extremely close to slipping due to how stressful today was. Your friends’ affection certainly wasn’t helping.
You looked at Lena with big, tear-filled eyes and that was all you needed to break down into heart-wrenching sobs.
“Hey, hey” Kara looks over at Lena as you fall into Lena’s awaiting arms. “Oh darling, hey we’re right here”.
Kara gets up to get you a glass of water and bring the tissue box to the coffee table as your sobs turn into quiet hiccups.
You go to take the glass of water from Kara but failed to realise you had slipped. The glass was heavy in your hands and drinking without making a mess became a much bigger challenge.
The water spilled down your top onto the couch and floor. Your eyes teared up again as you looked to Kara, mumbling a mournful ‘sorry’.
“It’s okay y/n, don’t worry.”
“’s really heavy mama” your eyes go wide as you begin to realise but you can’t force yourself out of your headspace.
Kara shook her head and smiled, “it’s okay little one, don’t you worry. Mama’s silly, she should’ve gotten you a plastic cup!”. You sniffled before giggling.
“C’mere darling, let’s wipe your face.” Lena said gently after taking a second to process what was happening.
Kara headed to the kitchen and placed the glass in the sink while debating what to do. She could call Alex to drop off some little gear to get you guys through the night, but then she would be betraying your trust. You clearly didn’t mean to slip in front of her and Lena, so she wasn’t sure how you’d feel letting anyone else know.
After a moment, she figured it’d be easier to go herself.
“Y/n sweetheart, can you tell me how old you are?”
You smiled proudly as you held up three fingers.
“Wow! 3! What a smart little one we have here.” Kara tickled your tummy and you laughed loudly.
“I’m going to go and get a few things for you. So, you stay here with Lena, and I’ll be back really fast!” you shook your head.
“Mommy.” Kara nodded,
“I know, mommy will try and be quick I promise.” You shook your head again,
“Nuhuh! Not Lena! Das mommy! And you mama!”. Lena thought her heart was about to burst.
Kara face-palmed, “of course! You stay here with mommy.” The superhero gave a smile to her girlfriend before leaving you both.
While Kara was gone, you and Lena browsed Disney+ for something to watch. Movie night having taken a very different turn. You squealed with happiness when Lena scrolled past tangled.
Kara soon was back at the apartment with some sippy cups, pull-ups, a few other items she thought you might need, and a surprise teddy bear that you soon named huggie.
“’acause he good ats huggin’ me!” you reasoned.
Lena and Kara couldn’t help but laugh in adoration at your innocence.
Once the food arrived, the three of you sat around the coffee table, eating, and watching tangled. You and Kara both sang to each and every song, making Lena smile.
As the credits began to roll, Lena looked over to you and saw you getting very sleepy, and despite their best efforts, very messy from dinner.
“I’m going to take her for a bath so she can sleep, do you want to clean up here and then come help me?” She asked, Kara agreed and started putting away the boxes of food as Lena held your hand and lead you to the bathroom. “Don’ wanna!” Kara frowned as she walked into the bathroom, seeing you pouting and crossing your arms in the water.
“Darling, you got the sauce all through your hair, we have to wash it” Lena reasoned. You stayed firm and pulled away from her.
Kara could see her girlfriend was getting frustrated and stepped in, “y/n, hey y’know as soon as we get this done, the sooner you can get into some comfy jammies and snuggle with us and huggie. Doesn’t that sound nice?” You nodded, Kara smiled “well, we have to finish getting all squeaky clean first! So would it be okay if mommy washed your hair?” you nodded again.
“’m sorry mommy.” Lena brushed your cheek with her finger,
“It’s okay little love, I know it’s been a big, long hard day and you just want to get some sleep.” Lena smiled softly as you yawned, as if backing up her statement. She lathered up some shampoo and gently washed your hair, your head becoming heavier as you tried to fight sleep.
Kara left to get one of her t-shirts as pyjamas for you and quickly slipped it on your body after Lena had dried you with a big fluffy towel. You didn’t even fight it when Kara also slipped the pull-up on you, something she wasn’t so sure about but thought would be a good idea.
“Alright, I think it’s bedtime for little sunshine’s” the blonde said as she scooped you up, you laid your head on her shoulder and began sucking on your thumb. Lena tutted and left to get one of the pacifiers Kara had bought.
“Here we are darling” You suckled on the object gratefully as you snuggled in between Kara and Lena, barely able to keep your eyes open.
When the blonde began singing a soft lullaby, you were out, soft snores escaping your lips as you gripped huggie under your arm.
Finally safe and sound.

It’s called agony, honestly.
Part 3 of T is for Trauma - The Series
Supercorp, Kara Danvers x Daughter!Reader, Lena Luthor x Daughter!Reader
Word count: 2510.
Warnings: All aboard the angst train.
Notes: This is happening at the same time of part 2, but from a different perspective.
Previously on the series – part 1, part 2
“Guys, I brought dinner!” Kara yells going into the kitchen and Lena walks in a while later. Kara is setting the table and already has a potsticker in her mouth, she looks behind Lena. “Where’s our little moody teenager?”
“I don’t know. I just got home.” Lena goes to Kara and they kiss, lovingly. “She’s probably in her room, on her phone, trying to ignore us. Is it weird that exactly when she turned 16, she started being moody?”
“It took her long enough.” Kara smiles, then kisses Lena one more time. “I’ll go check on her, don’t touch my potstickers.” She points at Lena with a smile, who rolls her eyes in response. Kara runs to your bedroom, and knocks on the door. “Hey, kid. Food is here.” No answer. “Kid! Come on!”
When she doesn’t hear anything back, and doesn’t see you inside with her x-ray vision, she opens the door unceremoniously to investigate inside.
“Kid, that’s not funny. Where are you?”
When she finally realizes you’re not in your room, she comes back to the kitchen, looking confused with her furrowed brows. Lena looks back at her.
“She’s not home.” Kara announces it. She used her x-ray vision; she is sure you’re not around.
“What do you mean she’s not home? It’s really late.” Lena points at the clock, like Kara doesn’t know it’s way past your time to be home. She then goes to the refrigerator to look at the calendar on the door. “Was there something at school? It’s not on the calendar.”
“Not that I know of. She doesn’t have training today either. Did you see her at L Corp today?”
“No. I had to ask them to stop letting me know when she was there, remember?” Lena looks back at Kara who looks like it’s seconds away from panicking. “Just call her. Maybe she’s distracted with something.”
Kara takes her phone out of her pocket and tries calling you. No answer.
“She’s not picking up.” Kara is now on the verge of a breakdown, and Lena knows it, just by how her eyebrows look.
“Keep trying. Let me call Jamie.” Lena goes to the living room where her phone is, and Kara follows her closely, phone still on her ear, as she is trying to call you again. “Jamie.”
“Hey, aunt Lena.”
“Hey hun, is your cousin with you?”
“uh…No?”
“When was the last time you saw her?”
“When we left school. Why? Is everything alright?”
“Did she tell you where she was heading to?”
“Yeah, she was going to L Corp to talk to you. Why? What happened? Did you two talk?”
“No. But do you know the reason for the conversation?”
“I mean, yeah, but… I think it’s best if you and aunt Kara talk to her first.”
“Ok. Well, thank you, Jamie.” Lena hangs up and looks at Kara ready to pass the information along, but Kara already heard everything.
“I’m going to L Corp. Keep trying her phone.” Kara flies out the window and Lena tries to call you and texting you a few times.
It doesn’t take long, maybe a little more than five minutes, for Kara to call Lena again with news.
“She’s not at her lab, and I asked around L Corp and she hasn’t stepped foot in here today.” Kara's heart is beating incredibly fast, and her hands shake so much she almost drops her phone a few times. Lena sits on the couch at home, her own heart going crazy, and she allows herself to have the same reaction Kara is having. Something is wrong. She was trying to ignore her mother's sense, but now she can’t anymore. They don’t talk for a full minute. “Lena. What do we do?”
“The watch.” It’s like they even forgot about all of that. Lena runs to her laptop, while Kara looks at her own watch to see your location in it. She doesn’t even take the phone out of her ear. “She’s close.”
“Yeah, I’m tracking her on the necklace’s GPS and it seems she’s around L Corp.” Lena agrees, and Kara uses her super speed to get to you. But, it’s not you.
“Lena…” Kara bends down to grab both the watch and the necklace from the ground. “It’s on the sidewalk, both watch and necklace together.”
“What? She never takes off the necklace.”
“I don’t think she took it off.” Kara flies high, phone still in her hand and glued to her ear. “Call Alex, go to the DEO, I’m going to fly around to see if I can locate her. I’ll see you there in a few.”
When they talk again, it’s already on the DEO. Alex, Brainy and Lena are all there. As soon as Kara lands and Lena doesn’t see you with her, she starts crying. Kara goes to her and hugs her, trying to calm her down, but it’s hard when she is fighting her own tears.
“We’ll find her.” She whispers on Lena’s head and turns to Alex, waiting for good news.
“Maybe you should try flying around the planet?” It’s Alex's suggestion and Kara breaths heavily, knowing there’s no good news yet.
“I did. Twice.” She looks at Brainy. “Any portals to different dimensions were open today? Any readings on fifth dimension magic?” Brainy has already denied both options. “If someone took her, they have kryptonite. Any luck on that lead?”
“Still looking into that.” Brainy says and goes back to the computer. Alex gives a couple of steps towards your moms, holds Kara’s arm, squeezing it lightly.
“We’re going to find her.” Alex says reassuringly. She then goes to where Brainy is, leaving Kara and Lena alone to talk.
“Do you think she-she…” Lena’s lips are trembling, her hands are shaking so much, and there are so many tears her entire face is wet. “She ran away from us?”
“No! Lena, no!” Kara says, grabbing each side of Lena’s arms, and she shakes her head in denial. “No! She wouldn’t have left everything in the middle of the sidewalk like that. Not the necklace.”
“But she was so upset yesterday, and it’s our fault. Kara! Kara, it’s our fault. We let our baby down.” Lena sobs desperately. “What if she wanted to leave? What if she doesn’t want us to find her?”
“Hey, hey. That didn’t happen. I know she was mad, but she wouldn’t ditch everything on the sidewalk like that, she would’ve left it home or… Lena, love. It was just a stupid fight; she wouldn’t run away from us.” Kara says, but it’s not how she really feels, she is just saying that to reassure your mom. In her heart she knows they let you down. “And you heard Jamie, she wanted to go to L Corp to talk to you. So she couldn’t be that mad-”
“She might have changed her mind.” Lena says before she’s finished. Kara looks down, and then around. She breaths deep a couple of times knowing that if the two of them get desperate at the same time, nothing will get done.
“Lena.” Kara holds her tight. “I think I would rather have her run away from us and be safe, than the scenario I’m playing in my mind right now.”
“You don’t think I have that scenario too?” Lena tries to let go of her embrace, but Kara keeps her in, protectively. “I have every scenario playing in my head. I have everyone who could harm her listed in my head, and I-I should’ve figured out a way to put a microchip inside her. This is all my fault.”
“Love, we’re going to find her.” Kara kisses her forehead, and that makes Lena cry even harder thinking that’s how they sooth you. “I’m going to fly around again. Maybe I missed something.”
“Please. Kara, please, find our baby. Please.” Lena asks desperately and Kara’s heart shrinks even more.
“I’ll do whatever I can, love.” She kisses Lena, and yells at Alex on the other side of the room. “Find every building made out of lead. I’ll burst into every single one of them if I have to.”
“We’ll cross data with readings of Kryptonite.” Alex answers and Kara leaves right after.
“Tell me how I can help.” Lena asks both of the DEO agents, aggressively wiping her tears away. They both look at her with pity in their eyes.
“Lena-” Alex starts, but your mom doesn’t let her finish.
“Alex, don’t. Your daughter is home, safe and sound. You’re not allowed to do that, to look at me like that!”
“Little boxes, comrade.” Brainy jumps in, trying to help. Her eyes are filled with tears instantly.
“No offense Brainy, but there isn’t a box big enough for this. Just-Just please. I can’t sit around and do nothing. Please, tell me what to do.” She pleads in so much agony, Alex can’t ignore it.
“Come here.” Alex sits her in front of a big screen. “Kryptonite usually leaves a signature, but it disappears after a few hours. Jamie was the last one to see her, and that was after school. So, we’re having a hard time scanning for kryptonite. Brainy is looking at lead covered buildings, I’m looking into surveillance cameras on the way to L Corp. Can you keep scanning for kryptonite?”
“Yes. I’ll do it.” Lena goes back to the computer. Hearts jumping in her chest in anticipation.
She has to find you. She has to tell you that you were right. She promised she would be at your science fair, and she should’ve left everything and everyone behind, and kept her word. You’re the most important person in her life. No business deal is worth having you disappointed at her. And you were right, she was being selfish. She gave you a lab at L Corp to have you around her, while she could work at the same time. That wasn’t fair to you, it wasn’t quality time, since her mind wasn’t there with you. She has to find you. She has to apologize; she has to hug you and tell you she loves you. She has to.
“Alex, tell me you found something.” Kara comes back to the DEO after a few more rounds around the planet. It didn’t take her long to do so, but lucky for her, Alex has new leads.
“Surveillance camera.” Alex points at the big screen in front of them. Kara sees someone throwing you inside a van, and dropping your belongings on the floor. “You can try to find the van, there’s too many places with lead around here.”
“I’ll try that first, but keep going on the lead hiding spots.” Kara looks at Lena before flying away again. She is not crying anymore, but her eyes and face are still red and puffy. Kara wants to stop and comfort her, but she can’t, not unless she finds you. Until you’re back in their arms, there’s nothing she can say or do to comfort your mom, or herself.
Kara flies out again, knowing what to look for now. It takes her a while but she finds the van dumped on the side of a dark road. She opens the van with so much anger, the door comes out in her hand, leaving a hole where it used to be its place.
You’re not inside. There’s no one inside. Kara grunts in frustration and holds the bottom of the van, flipping it over in agony.
She can’t believe she hasn’t found you yet. She feels her heart squeezing in her chest and tears falling without her consent. It’s her fault you’re missing, that’s the only thing in her mind right now. If she wasn’t Supergirl, if she hadn’t pissed off so many people in this life, you wouldn’t be in this situation. She knows, by looking at your face in the video, that you were in so much pain because of kryptonite. There you were, in pain, and where was she when you needed her again? Why does this keep happening? Why can’t she ever protect you? This is all her fault, it’s all her fault. Kara’s heat vision explodes the van, while her mind plays tricks on her.
She flies high in the sky to look around. There is no place around where you could be, they ditched the van to trick her.
“Kara, get back to the DEO now.” She hears on her earpiece and she sure never flew so fast in her life before.
“What is it?” She asks appearing before them, out of the blue, making all three of them jump in surprise.
“The van?” Lena asks and Kara’s response is a head shake in denial.
“Dumped on the side of the road.” She looks at Brainy who’s currently looking for a way to focus on something in his tablet. “What is it?”
“Caught a message.” He says mysteriously. He puts whatever is in his tablet on the TVs in front of them. “It could be from anyone. It’s morse code.”
“Does she know morse code?” Kara looks at Lena who shrugs her response.
“It says. G-O-T. L-I-L-1.” Brainy looks back at them. “Does any of that means something to you?”
“It’s her.” Kara says, feeling her heart jumping in her chest. “Little one. It’s her.” She looks back at Lena. “Lena. It’s her!”
“What does G-O-T mean? Any idea?” Alex asks, going to her own tablet.
“I don’t know.” Lena sits in front of the computer again, typing furiously to find out. Everyone is silent for a few minutes, until Kara opens her mouth. “KARA, if you say Game of Thrones, I swear to GOD-”
“The van.” Kara looks at Alex, and then back at the message. “The van was on the road to Gotham.”
“Gotham.” Lena stands up fast. “Our baby is in Gotham.”
“Kara, wait!” Alex manages to hold her hand just in time before she flies away. “If they took her, they have Kryptonite, you said it yourself. You can’t go alone. You need a team.”
“Alex, the more she is exposed to Kryptonite, the less chance she has to survive.”
“I know. Brainy call J’onn! Kara, let me get some heavy armory. Supergirl doesn’t kill, but Agent Danvers sure does when someone messes with her family.” Alex says leaving everyone behind. Brainy is already talking to J’onn. Kara looks back at Lena, hearing both of their hearts jumping in anticipation.
“Supergirl might kill.” Kara mumbles with so much anger, it sends a shiver through Lena’s spine.
“Honey, listen to me.” Lena holds her arms. “I hate them just as much as you do, but don’t do it. Get our daughter, bring her home. That’s it. That’s the only thing you have to do. Let everyone else care about whoever did this to her.” Kara reluctantly agrees with her head. “This is your only mission. Bring our baby home.”
“I promise.” Kara brings Lena’s hand to her mouth and kisses it, gently. “I’ll bring our baby home if it’s the last thing I do.”

Up against the (glass) wall || Supercorp
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Supergirl (TV 2015)
Rating: Explicit
Warnings: None
Relationships: Kara Danvers/Lena Luthor
Characters: Kara Danvers, Lena Luthor, Alex Danvers
Additional Tags: Lab Sex, absolute nonsense, lena luthor protocol but it's smut, alex would like a very long vacation, Oral Sex. oh rao
Summary: Frustrated by the lab's glass walls and lack of privacy, Lena decides to use her genius intellect to build something that'll allow her and Kara to have some alone time in between missions. Alex really only wanted to put her scientific skills to use in the lab, but she ends up discovering Lena's prototype is not quite as successful as it originally seemed.
Notes: this is the result of a totally serious and normal conversation with @emiltons and I feel like it’s 100% her fault tbh.
[ao3 link]
It starts with Kara arriving at the Tower after a particularly challenging mission. She could’ve flown straight home for a shower and some well-deserved rest, but she knows Lena can’t sleep while Kara is on duty, and she knows exactly what her girlfriend does when she can’t sleep. So Kara walks straight to the lab and smiles at the sight of Lena in her element, inventing what Kara has no doubt will be yet another world-saving gadget for them to use.
For a moment, Kara just watches her, grateful for the glass walls allowing her to see her girlfriend work without having to use her powers at all. There’s something soothing about the way Lena works, slow and methodical and precise even when she’s doing it just to keep her mind from drifting to Kara and the dangers she faces as Supergirl. And really, there’s no reason Lena should worry for a minute longer than strictly necessary, so Kara finally pushes the glass door open and walks into the lab.
“Hey, I’m ba—“ Lena turns around so quickly, wraps her arms around Kara so tightly, that Kara can only let out a quiet chuckle and hold on, enjoying the closeness and the scent of Lena’s hair filling up her lungs as Lena lets the tension of the last fourteen hours dissolve into the hug.
“Hey, baby,” Kara tries again, softer this time, breathed against the skin of Lena’s temple, “are you okay?”
Lena nods, lips pressing against Kara’s neck for a parting kiss before she finally pulls away from Kara’s arms to take a good look at her.
“I am now,” Lena says, eyes narrowing just so as she takes in the rips on Kara’s supersuit. Fingertips touch the torn fabric on Kara’s waist and across her left bicep, the smudges of dirt and pulverized concrete on her neck and cheek. “Are you?”
Kara grins. “Takes a bit more than a collapsing abandoned building to stop your girlfriend.”
And then Kara flexes her biceps, playfully, just because she knows Lena gets a kick out of her playing the confident jock from time to time. She definitely (she swears!) isn’t thinking about her supersuit and the small tear right over her left bicep, and she absolutely isn’t anticipating the way the fabric rips over her flexed muscle.
But.
As innocent as Kara is in all this, and she cannot possibly overstate how innocent she truly is, she’s not complaining at all when Lena tilts her head just so, green eyes fixated on the torn fabric and the bulging muscle underneath as she slowly licks her lips.
“Oh,” Lena says — breathes, really — as she arches one eyebrow, “I see.”
And then she reaches up and traces the ripped fabric once again, fingers pressing just so, like she’s testing just how fitting that Girl of Steel nickname really is.
“Who else is here?” Lena asks, voice low and darkened green eyes fixated on Kara’s, “Are we alone?”
“I, um—“ Kara struggles to make her brain cooperate and process Lena’s words when it feels like every single nerve ending in her body has been rerouted to that exact spot Lena is touching, “I think J’onn… lives here?”
Does M’gann live here also? Kara doesn’t know. Kara doesn’t care. Kara can’t quite breathe right.
“It’s pretty late,” Lena says, and her voice sounds like sun-warmed honey tastes, “I’m sure he’s asleep.”
And Kara swears she tries to think about it. About whether it’s past J’onn’s bedtime, about whether J’onn has a bedtime at all, and about whether martians even sleep in the first place. But suddenly Lena’s free hand is grabbing Kara’s and guiding it down, down, down under her skirt, and Lena’s lips are pressing a warm kiss to Kara’s jaw, and Kara suddenly realizes what’s going on.
“Oh,” she breathes out, blue eyes fluttering closed for a moment before they widen in shock at the realization of what’s going on. “Wh— here!?” Don’t get her wrong, she makes no move to stop the path of Lena’s lips towards her ear or pull her hand away from the warm soft skin of Lena’s inner thigh, but still. You know. “Lena, we can’t—“
“Can’t we?” Kara can feel Lena’s smile against her skin, and the way Lena’s teeth graze her earlobe makes her fingers inch just that little bit higher up Lena’s thigh. “Why not?”
What an excellent question. Kara tilts her head to the side to give Lena’s lips and teeth and tongue free access to her neck as she tries to find the part of her brain that knows why they can’t actually have sex in the lab.
“Because…” Kara sighs happily at a particularly well-placed kiss, “…it’s kinda rude?”
She feels Lena’s chuckle rather than hears it, and it makes a little shiver run down her spine. “It’s rude?” Kara can’t see Lena’s eyebrow, but she’s sure it’s arched so very prettily right now. How unfair. “This is my lab.”
And you know, Lena makes a good point, Kara figures, hand moving further up under Lena’s skirt. This is Lena’s side of the Lab. Her office, sort of unofficially, ever since she became an official member of the team. But still…
“You’re such a goody two shoes,” Lena teases, pressing herself a little closer against Kara.
“I mean, I’m Supergirl. It’s kind of my th— oh —“Lena’s teeth nip at Kara’s neck, completely derailing her thoughts for a moment, “—thing.”
And Kara is almost ready to give in. She’s almost ready to accept that yes, this lab counts as Lena’s home away from home so it’s perfectly fine if they want to get frisky in it. Her hand finishes its trek up Lena’s thigh and finds damp lace waiting for her, and frankly, they’re grown ups. She’s a whole super heroine. If she wants to fu—
“Formic acid!” Brainy’s voice reaches them just a second before he walks into the lab, which is lucky because it gives Kara just enough time to disentangle herself from her girlfriend at the speed of light.
Brainy stares through the glass wall separating the main lab from Lena’s smaller area. His eyes move from Lena to Kara and then back to Lena again, brow furrowed just so as he tries to figure out exactly what’s not right.
“Formic acid?” Lena prompts as she opens the door, voice entirely too level for someone who’s just been nearly caught with her girlfriend’s hand between her legs.
“Ah. Yes.” Brainy nods. “Formic acid. Nia’s neighbor has ants. It gave me an idea for the antidote we were talking about earlier. I think if we just—“
“Tomorrow. Brainy.” Kara interrupts him with a smile, hand wrapping around Lena’s wrist to pull her towards the exit. They have things to do. Private places to be.
“Tomorrow?”
“Tomorrow,” Lena agrees, grabbing her coat on the way out of the lab.
***
It’s been three weeks since the formic acid incident — as Kara lovingly remembers it — when she gets to the Tower after a mission once again to find her girlfriend deep in thought at her desk.
There’s nothing particularly special about it this time. It’s early afternoon, her foes were rowdy but easily manageable, and her supersuit looks impeccable. And yet, when she walks through the glass door, Lena gives her a look.
A Look.
Oh, that look.
Kara knows the look. Knows what it means. And she very nearly offers to just fly them home right away to save themselves the pain of having to stop halfway through to relocate, but you know what? It’s a bit hard to think ahead when Lena Luthor in a deep burgundy dress is walking towards you with that look on her face.
“That was a quick mission,” Lena says, shaking her head just so to make her ponytail swish in a way Kara’s pretty sure should be some kind of illegal, “those bad guys were no match for Supergirl, huh?”
Kara is blushing. She can tell. She knows because she’s having to employ all her kryptonian strength to keep herself from saying golly or aw, gee or a number of other things that would frankly ruin this whole big super heroine fantasy Lena has going on right now. And who is she to ruin her girlfriend’s fun?
“N—no,” Kara manages, voice slightly higher than normal, and she clears her throat before continuing, “I’m super strong.”
Nailed it.
“You sure are,” Lena says with an amused smile, because she’s very sweet and she loves Kara too much to laugh at her, “do you wanna show me how strong you are, Supergirl?”
Kara nods. And then she remembers where they are and shakes her head.
“We should— I can fly us home.”
“But, baby,” Lena takes one slow step right into Kara’s personal space and Kara feels her brain begin to shut down, “I want you right now.”
“It—“ Kara is trying so hard to do the right thing here, she swears, even if her hands are already on Lena’s waist and she’s already pulling Lena close and Lena smells so very good, “but the walls, Lena.”
Kara can tell Lena is trying very hard not to laugh.
“The walls?”
“Yeah,” Kara presses a quick kiss to deep red lips, just because it feels rude not to acknowledge how delicious they look, “I get what you guys were going for with the… futuristic sci-fi interior design, but all this glass is not very private, baby.”
Lena grins. And it’s not just a regular charmed grin. Not the normal one she shows when Kara says something sweet or funny and her heart gets a little fluttery in her chest (Kara’s heard it). No. This is something else. This is the smile Lena wears when they absolutely destroy everyone at game night.
Lena’s won. What exactly she’s won, Kara doesn’t know yet. But oh, Lena has absolutely won… something.
“You know, you’re right. They’re not very private at all. That’s why I made this.”
Lena shows her what looks to Kara like tiny remote and pushes the button.
Lena Luthor protocol engaging.
Kara cocks one eyebrow at Lena, who simply shrugs as a small robot flies from under her desk.
“I named it after the original one. For nostalgia’s sake.”
Kara stares in confusion as the small robot hovers nearby and points what looks like a camera at them. Except it’s not a camera. It’s… some kind of spotlight?
“What’s it doing?” Kara can see the light inside the robot, can see it pointing the ray at them, but she sees no change in the lightning of the lab.
“It’s making us invisible.”
“What? I can see you,” Kara looks down at her hands on Lena’s waist, “I can see me.”
“That’s because you’re not looking through the glass. Look there,” Lena says, pointing at a polished steel surface on the main area of the lab. There should be a reflection there… but there isn’t one.
Kara stares, blue eyes wide and lips parted in surprise. She’s seen plenty of impressive tech since becoming Supergirl — let alone what she grew up with in Krypton — but this is something else.
Of course, the fact that Lena’s body is pressed up against her own, and the fact that she developed a whole new technology just to be able to get frisky in her glass-covered lab may have something to do with it.
“What do you think?” Lena does this thing she does where she sort of arches against Kara’s body in a way that makes Kara’s brain feel like it’s sloshing about in a sea of Lena’s perfume, and then presses her lips against Kara’s jaw, and to be honest Kara isn’t thinking at all right now.
“Wh— what?” One of Kara’s hands slides down from Lena’s waist to the curve of her ass, grabbing a handful of it as Lena’s teeth oh-so-gently nip at Kara’s bottom lip. “Wh—“ Kara tries again, barely above a whisper, but frankly she’s much more interested in kissing Lena like she means it — like she deserves to be kissed — and she completely forgets she’s been asked a question in the first place.
“Kara,” Lena pulls away from the kiss, lipstick a little bit smeared, cheeks a little bit flushed, breathing a little bit stilted, “I asked you a question.”
And you know, Kara is sure that’s true. She’s, like, so sure. But Lena is taking a step back to lean right against that sleek glass wall and pulling Kara along, and Kara’s brain is powerless to process anything beyond the fact that her girlfriend is practically begging her to have her way with her up against that wall.
And that’s… well, that’s something.
“Yeah,” Kara chooses to answer, because frankly she’d say yes to anything Lena asked right now and she’s a bit busy kissing up the path of freckles on Lena’s neck to care about the actual question right now, “yeah, baby, of course.”
Normally, Lena is far from pleased when she detects even a hint of Kara trying to placate her with mindless agreement, but this must be working for her because all Kara feels under her lips is an amused giggle right as Lena’s fingers slide into blond hair.
“What do you think of the new protocol?” Lena’s voice has a touch of teasing weaved into the words, like she knows the question is ultimately irrelevant but she likes watching Kara struggle to form coherent thoughts while horny. And, you know, Kara can respect that.
“It’s so good,” the hand that’s not on Lena’s ass moves up to cover Lena’s right breast, and Kara celebrates her own incredible luck by pressing a kiss to Lena’s lips, “you’re so smart,” another kiss, this time to a smile Lena can’t quite contain, “my genius girlfriend.”
Lena’s blunt fingernails lightly scratch at Kara’s scalp, making her hum happily against Lena’s lips. “You’re just horny,” Lena teases, her tone clearly stating just how happy she is that’s the case.
“And humbled! By your genius intellect.” Kara squeezes Lena’s ass and kisses the tip of Lena’s nose, because she’s cute and Kara knows deep down there’s a little part of Lena that will always need to hear how good she is out loud. “I can do both. I’m Supergirl.”
Lena chuckles, low and soft, and rewards Kara’s thoughtfulness with a kiss. “Well, Supergirl,” she says, shooting her girlfriend a look that hits Kara right between her legs, “if you’re feeling humbled, you may as well show me how much.”
And then. Then, Lena uses her grip on Kara’s hair to gently tug down, just so, just enough to make Kara’s eyes widen with the realization of where Lena wants her. On her knees. At Lena’s feet. And frankly, Kara files this under things they absolutely need to explore further, because she swears she feels her body temperature rise by at least a couple degrees.
But she’s not about to make Lena wait. So Kara slowly sinks down to her knees, blue eyes locked with green just so Lena can see. So Lena can see Supergirl kneeling at her feet.
When her right knee touches the floor, she hears Lena’s breath catch in her throat.
“Go on,” Lena says, upper back leaning against the wall, “show me.”
Kara nods, hands wrapping around lena’s thighs and slowly sliding up, up, up, bringing Lena’s pencil skirt along with them. She can’t resist kissing every inch of soft, warm skin she uncovers, lips trailing a path up one of Lena’s inner thighs and then the other, until all she needs to do is push the bunched up skirt up over her hips and ass to reach the lacy (Kara is willing to bet) fabric of her—
“Oh,” Kara breathes out, staring at the spot where Lena’s panties should be but decidedly aren’t. And Kara, to her credit, manages to look up into green eyes and shoot her girlfriend a teasing smirk along with a fake scandalized look. “Miss Luthor.”
There’s a dusting of pink across the bridge of Lena’s nose that Kara finds frankly unfair given the circumstances. “Well, I knew the prototype would be ready by the time you came back.”
“See? Genius girlfriend,” Kara smiles as she presses a kiss to Lena’s mound, pulling a happy little sigh out of her, “so smart.”
And then Kara stops talking, because she has much more important things to do with her mouth. Things like kissing the slick skin of Lena’s inner thighs, humming in delight at the smell and taste of her girlfriend and the way Lena’s fingers fist in her hair.
Kara takes her time, lips and teeth and tongue exploring every inch of Lena’s cunt but pointedly avoiding her clit, just because she happens to think there’s no sound more beautiful than the way Lena says please.
“You look so good down there,” Lena says, breathy and flushed, “right—“ her breath catches in her throat, and Kara smiles between Lena’s thighs, “—there.”
And this is why Kara will never really mind the way Lena teases her and makes her blush and stumble over her words. Because she knows the tables turn as soon as she’s between Lena’s legs.
“Where, baby?” Kara asks, her face the perfect picture of innocence as she presses a soft kiss just shy of Lena’s clit, “Here?”
Lena’s eyes flutter closed and she leans her head back against the glass wall with a smile. “Kara.”
She’s never Supergirl when they’re like this.
“Here?” Kara’s teeth gently nip at one of Lena’s lips, and then the other, “Or here?”
“Kara, please.”
And there it is. Right there, the most beautiful sound in the world.
So Kara decides to reward Lena by finally flicking her tongue against a stiff clit before wrapping her lips around it, and she doesn’t hold it against Lena when she pulls on Kara’s hair instead of saying thanks.
All slowness and teasing forgotten, Kara puts her lips and teeth and tongue at Lena’s service, letting Lena hook one leg over Kara’s shoulder to give her better access as she uses her hold on Kara’s hair to pull her closer still.
Kara feels like she’s drunk on Lena’s taste and smell and the sound of the moans she’s struggling to stifle. She can taste just how close Lena is, she can feel it in the way her thighs quake and her breathing gets more and more stilted and her hips rock harder and faster against Kara’s tongue.
“God, Kar—“ Kara hears the sound of Lena smacking one hand over her own mouth, keeping herself as close to quiet as possible — Kara is delighted for her own superhearing that allows her to hear it all anyway — as she rides Kara’s mouth.
She’s so close. So close Kara feels the one leg holding Lena up shaking perilously as a quiet moan escapes between Lena’s fingers, and Kara is just in time to prop her up with one hand as Lena finally comes, head tilting back and hitting the glass wall with a soft thud.
And that — exactly that moment — is when Kara freezes at the sound of someone walking towards the lab.
It’s been a while since Alex has been alone in the lab. It’s been a while since she’s been in the lab at all, to be honest. And that doesn’t seem fair, right? She may not be Lena or Brainy, but she’s a scientist! She can do science things. That formic acid conundrum they were talking about the other day?
Alex could have helped.
But do they ever ask Alex for scientific input? No. All Alex is good for is apparently acrobatic crime-fighting and daring make-up choices.
And she’s ready to prove her worth. So after checking that nobody’s already in the lab, Alex walks in and starts looking around. Innocently, of course. She’d never do anything really intrusive like go into Lena’s personal area or mess with Brainy’s future toys. No, no. But she’ll look around. Check out what they’re doing. See if anything looks like it could be solved by an actual medical doctor, thank you very much.
And then — then she hears it. Some kind of… thud?
On the other side of the glass wall, cloaked by Lena’s invisibility robot, Kara braces herself with one hand on the wall as she holds Lena up with the other. And Kara may be Supergirl, but there’s something to be said about trying to be quiet while holding Lena through a frankly earth-shattering — if she may say so herself — orgasm with her face still between Lena’s thighs.
It takes skill.
And Kara is managing just fine, mind you, until Lena twitches in a way Kara wasn’t expecting, and Kara loses her hold on her for just a split second before she presses her up against the wall once again.
Alex narrows her eyes. The thud she could ignore, but she swears there’s the faintest outline of a handprint on the glass. And just when she’s about ready to chalk it all up to sleep deprivation, she hears a… squeak. The unmistakable sound of skin sliding against glass.
And now it’s not just the handprint there. There’s something round next to it. Something like—
Wait.
Is that the outline of an ass?
“Oh my God, Kara!” Alex turns around, voice climbing higher in both pitch and volume as she speaks because she doesn’t know whether she’s just seen the outline of her sister’s butt or her sister’s girlfriend’s butt but either way she’d very much like to have her memory wiped right now. Is J’onn home?
“Not this again!” She continues, somewhere between horrified and desperate. To be fair, she’s never walked into invisible wall sex before, but she has interrupted a frankly worrying amount of heavy make-out sessions for the time Kara and Lena have been together, and she’d really rather not think about what those two would have done had she remained asleep for a few minutes longer the last time she agreed to a movie night.
It’s a pattern of emotionally scarring behavior, is all she’s saying.
“And you know!” Alex turns around, eyes squeezed shut because she does not want to catch even the slightest glimpse of that assprint ever again. “You know,” she bangs on the wall for emphasis, just once, “I’m all for pride, but there is such a fucking thing as a healthy amount of shame!”
Alex stomps out of the lab, and her aggravated footsteps can still be faintly heard in the distance when Lena clears her throat. She’s blushing bright red, but her voice sounds remarkably steady for someone whose left leg is still hooked over her girlfriend’s shoulder.
“Joy,” Lena says, and the sleek virtual personal assistant on her desk whirs to life. “Protocol prototype version 1.0 partially successful,” she dictates, “consider one-way glass going forward.”
“Oh, oh! And Joy?” Kara pipes up from between Lena’s thighs, “Please order Alex a ‘we’re sorry’ pie.”
Lena simply nods. “Make it strawberry this time.”

Supercorp, 10!
I am cleaning out my inbox, y’all. One down, *mumblesmumbles* to go!

10. Desperately
---
Can an alien have a heart attack?
Kara’s heart races at a relentlessly alarming speed that she can't help but wonder and worry. Yet at the same time, she understands why her poor heart suffers so, especially when Lena’s lips are brushing over her own like a faint whisper.
Her skin prickles, urging her to chase and claim Lena’s mouth but every time she attempts to do so, Lena chuckles and withdraws. Kara quickly learns that she needs to lay back and wait and wait and wait. They both know that she can very easily flip them over and make this go so much faster but she won’t and they both know that too. It’s a teasing game that Lena loves to play with her, wanting to see just how much Kara wants her, wanting to see just how much of Kara's breath she can take away without actually kissing her.
If only Lena knew just how easily she does it by simply existing.
They're in bed with Lena on top of her; Lena’s hands on either side of her head as she presses her lips to every inch of Kara’s face except for where Kara wants her. Lena's nose then nuzzles along her jaw and it's only the hushed sound of Lena’s shaky breathing that tells Kara that Lena is just as affected as she is, that no matter how much Lena pretends otherwise, her body exposes her truth. Her hands at Lena’s waist squeeze lightly when Lena’s kiss lingers on Kara’s cheek, soft and so heartachingly tender that Kara is barely able to stop the whine that rises in the back of her throat.
She knows why Lena does this, why she likes to build the tension between them to an unbearable degree. The heightened anticipation of waiting, waiting, waiting—followed by the sweet, explosive relief when they finally come together. Kara knows why.
But it doesn't mean she has to like it.
“Lena, please.”
She feels Lena’s body shake as she breathes out a chuckle so husky that it has Kara closing her eyes and squirming where she lays. She can easily imagine the triumphant grin that’s pulling at Lena’s lips as they continue to flutter down her face, the mirthful delight in her pale green eyes. “Please what, darling?”
“Please kiss me.”
“But I am kissing you,” Lena replies, proving her point by pressing her lips gently to Kara's chin before trailing down the column of Kara’s throat. Lena pulls back up, only to be met with Kara's indignant glare. Her responding smirk is as infuriating as it is unfairly attractive. “Oh, was there somewhere specific you wanted me to kiss you?”
Kara rolls her eyes and lets out a resigned sigh, pressing her head back down on the pillow. “You’re in a mood tonight,” she murmurs, placing a hand on the back of Lena's neck when she starts to drag her lips over Kara’s collarbones, nipping lightly at her skin. Her breath hitches when Lena’s hand moves under her sleep shirt, her sharp nails dragging so slowly up her belly.
“And you're being impatient,” Lena counters playfully, laughing into her neck when Kara simply groans before lifting her head back up so their eyes meet once again.
“Well, wouldn’t you be if you had a very pretty, very naked person on top of you?” she challenges with a pointed glance down at their current state of complete undress on Lena’s part and still-fully dressed on her own.
Lena’s eyes flutter, shaking her head as she huffs out a warm chuckle, “Flatterer,” she replies, her cheeks blushing under Kara’s words, before adding, “though you're also not wrong, if the shoe was on the other side. I don’t know if I'd have the same restraint.” Lena hums thoughtfully. The smile on her face gentles at the edges as she moves to cup Kara’s cheek and brushes her thumb along her jawline.
“It’s not easy,” Kara sighs, melting into the soothing warmth of Lena’s palm, “especially when it also happens to be your girlfriend that you’re super in love with and you haven’t seen her in weeks because you’re both so busy trying to save this planet that apparently can’t stop needi—”
The thumb stroking her jaw stops. “You’re in love with me?”
Kara’s mouth snaps shut at Lena’s outburst and a long stretch of silence follows.
It's not exactly how Kara planned to do this. In fact, she had been planning on doing this tomorrow, with fresh flowers, an elaborate breakfast in bed and after waking Lena up with her mouth. But it’s out there now and Kara doesn't want to take it back. And so she doesn't.
She nods, as slow as the gentle smile that grows on her lips. “I’m in love with you,” Kara whispers into the space between them, giving voice to those feelings that have settled so deeply into her bones that it's become so much a part of her. Lena is a part of her, has been and now always will be. “Is that… okay?” she asks.
When Lena smiles back, that happy, full dimpled smile that sets Kara's heart fluttering, the world stops.
And it stills.

somebody’s gonna wife you up someday.
by embracedself.
fandom: supergirl
ship: supercorp (established)
set in which Kara has a rough night.
read it on ao3 here.
Kara had hardly noticed Lena’s entrance into the living room. That was the first clue that something was wrong. “Mm, good morning.” Lena murmured, stepping over a blanket to get to her girlfriend. “Rough night?” She asked sympathetically as soon as she saw Kara wincing at her touch. That never happened, so it was obvious something was wrong.
“Yeah.” Kara managed. “There was a fire.” The words whispered into Lena’s belly as she turned to face her. Kara wrapped her arms around Lena’s waist as well, understandably needing that touch from Lena. Lena, for her part, stayed quiet, humming as she ran hands through her love’s hair.
“Mm.” Lena offered, showing attention to her girlfriend’s words. “You do smell a bit burnt.” She tried to see Kara’s sunny smile. It unfortunately didn’t work. “Kara? Darling, what is it?” She whispered, pulling the blonde away just enough to push her head up to look at her.
“I couldn’t save the daughter.”
Kara hadn’t said it very loudly at all, but Lena heard it nonetheless. Her heart broke in half for her girlfriend and the mother of the daughter. “And how many people did you save?” She quietly questioned.
“Ten, but…” She trailed off at Lena’s gesture to stop. The universal sign of holding your hand up. But when Lena did it, it was always accompanied with the famous Luthor eyebrow. Any other time, it would have made Kara smile.
“You did the best you could, Kara.” Lena promised, giving her a short kiss on the forehead. “I know you hate it, but you can’t save everyone. It’s unfortunate, and I hate it too. But you can’t blame yourself for not being perfect, Kara. You certainly don’t let me.”
Kara sighed, leaning back against Lena. “I know… It just makes me wish I could do more, you know? I know you know.” Kara amended, sighing again. “You’re a force of good, as much as I am. You know that, right? I’m pretty sure you’re the true Paragon of Hope.” She whispered. “You keep me going, my love.”
“I love you too.” Lena smiled, beaming down at Kara. “Now, why don’t I tuck you back into bd, and you let me make you some banana pancakes?” She suggested, humming as she leaned down, kissing the Kryptonian on the lips.
“I think that sounds like a great idea.” Kara admitted. “You’re really too good to be true, Lena Luthor. One day, somebody’s gonna wife you up.” She warned, grinning. She allowed herself to be pulled up to full height, only a couple inches taller than Lena. The two shared another, slow kiss before Lena led her to the bedroom with a laugh on her lips.
A few minutes later saw Kara being literally tucked in by Lena. First came the blankets that they shared, so Kara would be soothed by the scent of Lena’s perfume. Lena fluffed her girlfriend’s pillow up. And then, Kara moved to pull the weighted blanket on top of her. It was fifteen pounds, but Kara moved it like a throw blanket.
“Show off,” Lena muttered playfully, smiling over at her. Kara laughed. “It’s not my fault.” She stuck her tongue out at Lena. “Alright, I want my pancakes.” She hummed as she tapped Lena’s nose. “OK, OK.” Lena laughed. “Be patient. It’s gonna take a few minutes for me to make the batter, and then even longer to make enough for you!” She warned.
“Alright. I’ll try not to waste away.” Kara teased, pulling out the book she was currently reading from her side table’s drawer. Lena rolled her eyes. “I’m sure you’ll be fine, Ms. Danvers.” She threw back. “Mm, whatever you say future Mrs. Danvers.” Kara retorted with a wide smirk. Lena whirled back around from just outside the room, mouth open and spluttering.
“Future who now?” She asked at last once she regained her composure.
“Like I said, Lena. Someone’s gonna wife you up one day.” Kara shrugged. “Now shoo, I want my pancakes."

supercorp + 12 "things you said when you thought I was asleep" :D
omg I recently read one of your fics and it was just fantastic. everyone should read it.
She wasn’t quite sure what she was doing there.
Well, no. That wasn’t true. She knew exactly what she was doing, and she knew better than to lie to herself. And yet admitting it to herself was something she wasn’t quite prepared for—at least not yet.
Alex gave her a sympathetic smile when she noticed Lena approach, forcing Lena to pause by tugging on her sleeve and gently taking her wrist. “She’s asleep. She’ll probably be asleep for a while.”
(Lena wondered what Alex was really telling her, what she was really trying to convey. That it was okay if Lena left and came back when Kara was awake? That it would be okay if she went into the med bay, saw Kara breathe with her own eyes, and then slipped out without anyone noticing—Alex swearing herself to silence?
A year ago, Alex’s comment wouldn’t have been necessary, as Lena would’ve been here from the start, and would’ve stayed until Kara’s eyes opened. And it broke Lena’s heart that such a comment—such an assurance, perhaps—was necessary now.)
“How is she?” Lena asked, proud that her voice didn’t waver, proud that she met Alex’s eyes evenly, proud that none of her uncertainty about Kara’s status as ‘asleep for awhile’ was apparent in her tone. But when Alex just tilted her head slightly to the side and studied Lena, she realized that maybe her expression betrayed more than she meant to.
“Blew out her powers,” Alex answered after a few seconds, shrugging a little, as if trying to physically dispel her fear and worry for her sister. “She looks worse than she is. She’s just...tired.”
“Yeah,” Lena mumbled, looking away from Alex.
“You seem tired too,” Alex said, releasing Lena’s wrist. “You go see Kara, I’ll get you some coffee.”
“Alex, I—”
—don’t know if I’m staying, she wanted to say, but couldn’t, cutting herself off. Alex grinned and walked away, leaving Lena to stare at the door to the med bay with some trepidation.
Would Kara even want her here? After everything? Sure they’d patched things up, but it was still awkward, still strange, still—
Lena heaved a deep breath and stepped forward, pushing her way into the med bay, eyes zeroing in on Kara immediately. She was laying quite still, in a way she never really was when she was asleep (Lena had learned the hard way that Kara was a tosser and turner, that she sometimes even mumbled phrases in her own tongue, claiming she didn’t remember in the morning). Her arms and face and neck, the only things uncovered by her blanket, were littered with cuts and scrapes, a particularly bad bruise forming on her forehead.
But her breathing was even, steady. In and out. In and out.
(It was soothing to Lena’s ears, and that was another thing she was quite aware of and wasn’t quite ready to admit to herself about.)
“This is silly,” Lena mumbled aloud, but she stepped forward anyway, sitting down at the chair next to Kara’s bed, which Alex must’ve been occupying minutes earlier.  “I’m not quite sure why I’m here,” Lena informed the silently sleeping Kara, a little bit worried that her usual light snores were absent, still lying to herself and now to a motionless Kara.
She looked so at peace. So at ease.
It was something Lena never got to see, not when Kara was awake at least.
“I was already on the way here when Alex called, you know,” Lena continued, somehow on a roll, the words coming easier as she studied Kara’s impassive face. “I’d happened to click on the news, and there you were. Motionless and bleeding.” Lena stopped, taking a calming breath, blinking vigorously to ensure she didn’t accidentally cry. “And it occurred to me, not for the first time, how stupid we’ve been.”
Kara breathed, in and out, steady and sure. And the thing Lena didn’t want to admit to herself finally broke through, and she felt tears roll down her cheeks.
“I should’ve been here, with you,” Lena gasped, feeling the tears coming in earnestly now. She reached out tentatively and took one of Kara’s hands. “You’re my best friend, you’re—” She stopped, wiped at her cheeks when her free hand, and let out a soft sigh. “Please, Kara. I miss you. And I want to be here with you. Please, please let me stay with you.”
Kara breathed in and out, steady and evenly. And Lena just took the plunge.
“I have a knack for losing the people I love, please, please, don’t be one of them.”
Kara’s breathing stuttered, just for a moment, and then her fingers intertwined with Lena’s. And that felt like a rather clear answer.
So when Alex came back and asked her if she’d changed her mind about the coffee, Lena shook her head and accepted the drink, settling in for a long night by Kara’s side.

Lena Luthor as Guardian prompt(supercorp)
“Guardian, didn’t I tell you to get out of here? It’s not safe.” SuperGirl grunted in between strikes as she struggled to take down the big bad of the week.
“And I’m pretty sure I told you, I’m a big girl who makes her own decisions.” Guardian replied, pushing the button that deployed her shield.
“I’ve got this handled.” SuperGirl responded through gritted teeth, before being pushed across the warehouse and landing with a crash.
“If by handled, you actually mean having your ass kicked, I guess you’re quite right.” Guardian quipped as she made her way into the fray, blocking an alien arm with her shield and ducking low to land her own hit.
Through the slit in her mask she watched SuperGirl stand quickly and regain her composure, a quick nod from the blonde confirmed that the pair were now working together, whether SuperGirl liked it or not and Guardian quickly took it upon herself to distract the alien in front of her for long enough for SuperGirl to take it by surprise.
To no one’s surprise, Guardian’s plan worked. It always did.
As a DEO agent loaded the subdued alien into the back of a van, SuperGirl thanked her stiffly.
“Until next time you need my help then, SuperGirl.” Guardian was smirking and she hoped the superhero could hear it in her voice.
“I told you Guardian, I don’t need civilian help. It’s too dangerous.” The blonde’s hands were on her hips and her face was set, her tone stern in an attempt to intimidate.
It just made Guardian smirk wider.
Their conversation was interrupted by a report asking for a photo of the two heroes together, and Guardian laughed at the pout that formed on SuperGirl’s face.
“I’ll let SuperGirl take the credit for this one.” Guardian responded jovially, before quickly locating her motorbike and speeding away.
By the time Lena got home after dropping her gear at the Tower, the shower was already running. She made her way to the bathroom, ready to face her wife head on.
She paused for a moment in the doorway, enjoying the view as Kara washed away a hard day of saving National City.
“Don’t think you can just ogle me, and all will be forgiven.” Kara said after a moment.
Those damn super senses, Lena could never sneak up on her.
“Are you mad?” Lena asked tentatively. She already knew the answer, but hey, a girl’s gotta try.
Kara shut off the shower and stepped out, wrapping a towel around her chest.
“You know damn right I’m mad.” Kara was looking at her now, a look of betrayal that cut right through to Lena’s heart.
“I thought we agreed. No more Guardian.”
“No, you told me no more Guardian and I told you, you’re not the boss of me.” Lena replied indignantly, crossing her arms across her chest.
“Don’t you understand how scary it is for me? Seeing you out there? In the line of danger.” Kara asked, her eyes pleading and her voice wavering with emotion.
“Don’t you know how scary it is for me?” Lena replied, her voice barely a whisper as tears spilled on to her cheeks. But Kara heard her. Kara always heard her.
“Oh baby, come here.” Kara held out her arms, and like a magnet Lena couldn’t resist the pull.
Her head was pillowed on Kara’s chest, their arms wrapped tightly around each other before she spoke again.
“It’s so scary watching you fly off into danger, day after day. I’m always so afraid that today might be the day you don’t come home to me. But when I’m Guardian. When I’m there, in the thick of it with you? I feel like I have some semblance of control over the situation. I feel less afraid.”
“Baby, why didn’t you tell me you were so scared?” Kara’s voice was soft, and her hand hand moved to rub soothing circles over Lena’s back.
“Because I knew if I told you, you would feel guilty for being SuperGirl. I didn’t want to put that on you.” Lena’s tears had dried now, and she felt felt better. Like the dam had broken inside of her, but the pressure had been released and she could breathe again.
“Lena.” Kara held the brunette at arms length and searched her eyes imploringly. “I told you, I always want to know how you feel. Even if you think I won’t like it. I want to know. Always.”
Lena dropped the blondes gaze, the intensity too much for her.
“I’m trying.” She whispered into the still silence of the bathroom.
“I know.” Kara pulled her back into her arms, peppering kisses onto Lena’s forehead.
“So, you’re not mad anymore?” Lena asked gently.
“No, I’m not mad anymore.” Kara laughed as she continued her trail of kisses down Lena’s face.
“Well that’s a shame, because I had thought of some rather fun ways to make it up to you.” Lena teased as she pulled out of Kara’s right hold and made her way toward the bedroom.
“But I guess if you’re not mad, my plans were completely unnecessary.” She smirked at Kara over her shoulder and watched a shiver travel up the blonde’s spine.
“I take it back I’m still mad.” Lena laughed as she heard her wife stumble in her haste to follow her into the bedroom. “Totally still angry, grrrr... you better make it up to me.”
“Very convincing darling. Now take of that towel and get on the bed.”
I hope this is kind of what you were after.
Send me more SuperCorp prompts please :)

just a jumbled mess of stream of consciousness thoughts while listening to folklore: (alos heads up i don’t know any of the song names so i’m just going mostly with the lyrics that stood out to me. but it is mostly in order of the songs as they play out.)
I remember when first listening ot lover thinking how melancholy all th songs were. i don’t feel it as much anymore, it just must have been my state of mind at the time. but listening to the first two songs of folklore i’m getting that feeling again and i don’t feel its going to go away. haven’t listened to rest of this ,but hte wishing and longing for htings to go back to how they were seems like its going to be the theme of this album
song after american dynasty gave me chills. that guys voice: beautiful.
same song gives me vibe of this is last time on red, which is a good song, couple having conversation about not listening to each othe rand feeling like neithe is being heard and thngs are falling apart. its my sisters favorite song on that album wonder how she’ll feel about this one.
mirror ball song makes me think of that dress she wore to award show for lover. and remember when joe and taylor posted that wine photo i wonder if thats the day they were working together on the song peopel theorize he worked with her on.
because i like to crazy theorize what if the three love sotry is about forbidden love stories both taylor and the cowriter had not together but with other people. i’m just in writing mode so creating all kinds of wild theories.
mirror ball also gives vibes of miss americana how she just wnats to be liked and shows various aspects of herself ot be accepted and the ball showing the viewer various aspects of themselves reminds me of how the fans talk about seeing themselves in her writing, parts they didn’t know aobut or parts tehy don’t show others. how they see thsemlves in her songs so in a way she is a mirorball to her fans not just her lovers.
folksong song sounds like a first love childhood before the singer learned to what was proper and accepted how to act like a “lady” back when her love was wild adn free pacing up her dolls and swaeter (cardigan) so they could run away together and be free in teh way they wanted to be.
sometimes its easier to talk about aspects of ourslves by putting on othe people on othe stories slipping in fiction with truth so no one knows what was real or imagined (august)
august gives me back to december vibes.
man taylors vocals this album just i’m so speeechless so many ways she’s never sung before, a new side of her and her vocals so haunting nad beaitiful and breathy its enchanting. i don’t know how to describe it.
it doesn’t have ot be an affair to feel this way to feel like the perosn you’ve broken up with is someone you’ll never find agan never feel that way agin with who created worlds with you and then tears them all apart hwne they leave you.
invisible string i take it this is from male perspective talking about a girl and not realizing at time tehy liked you back and finding connnection years later. that yes they did like you.
gold string and dive bars gives me reputation feels.
really liking all the instrumentals in teh scong calm and soothing of course becauase thats the theme but i like that taylor changes up her sound each album not alwaysa rocky or poop or coutnry, its nice ot get the narrative beauty that is taylor but have the story told in different genres, if you will
when i saw that hte album was explicit i was like taylor is going to say the f word and when she id i was not ready for it espcialy with teh full sentence i think she said of mouth-f so ya that was boht unexpected and jarring and...wow, taylor. when you decide to use that word you go all in. good for you.
madwoman seems like sequal to the man. the man’s “crazy” sister
does he beat kind of pick up at the end of madwoman, either i was getting anxiety or the beat picks up when its just the insturmentals to give it a kind fo manic feeling
ther is a lot of mention fo dead nd peopel wishing someone was dead and funeral.s are you okay taylor. i just need to chck in with you.
the song about the soldier is giving me soon you’ll get better and will probably end up being the song i skip the most like all taylors songs about her mom becuause i can’t always handle those  feels.
betty’s garden. james girl drives up in car talk abou summer i was thinking august the whole tiem that maybe this song is tied to august song liek she said three songs tie togtehr in love triangle so that confirms it so is the third song the one about running away togetehr with suitcase of dolls and sweaters?
idk why as soon as i saw taylor message about love triangles i didn’t think the usual he loves her but she loves him, i was thinking he loves her and she loves her and she loves him. like a circle but it guess th twoudln’t amek ti a triangle then. but was totally thinking forbiddne and secret love and not realizing that she actaully liked you while you wer in love with her best friend. idk. i’m a mess.
sometimes i when i listen to taylor i think her voice hasn’t changed i listen to old songs and they basically sound the same but this album you really get to see her range and a new side of her voclas and tones and its nice ot hear the old and new together working togteher to make this album.
okay this song cardigen is giving me vibes but then thers is the laughter at the end that pervades the cardigan song so betty garden seems tied to that.
bety garden is like book when he arrived at party at end its like ia rrived at your paryt i ws like what what di she say how did she react.i need to know.
idk i just rally like this album i know its different in a good way and its really i really like the storyteller in me is squeeling.
brittle heart seems like a mess of phrases when first impresion but listening closer but its like youre trying searhcing for he word prhase thing syou need to say finding the right words finding the right combinaton of words either your own or someone else’s to get them to listen to hear you to accept you and let you be a part of their life.
hoax started and i knew it was the last song and it jsut felt like thigs wre getting starrted and alreayd its over. i’m not ready for it to be over. play it again sam.
edit; like this wasn’t long enough, here are more jumbled notes from the second listen.
unrequited love. missed opportunities. young love. mistakes taht could never be fixed.
what happesn when you take out all the prhases that seem out of place, like kissed two girls and lost the one. later in teh story you find out about james and him doing that and it seems like a hint taht he lost betty.
be a friend to all be afriend to none also seems out of palce seesm like taylor speaking from hr own experience
i can’t tell how much of this is narrative insertion? is that the word. and how much of it is just the narrative.
cardigan really feels lke this is betty’s song when he left for the summer and ruined everything.
he did come back to her but i don’t know feels like it might have been too late but maybe not. mixed readings on this one.
dynasty is a bop and i have many thoughts on it like that i love rebecca she is my life goals.
also get black widow vibes from her when couple dynasty with mad woman and teh idea that waht happend to the dog might have happened to her husband.
do you tay, you do you. ruin everything ebcause evertyhing is already ruined and its time they realized that and that its not really your fault.
not really any woman’s fault.
some of the songs seem like they are about othe poeple but then likewith  lemony snicket it feels liek teh narrator is telling his own story in his own words or through the characters.
the couple fight song gives me miss americana nad heartbreak proince both as a romance and the current state of our country
ricochet what is that jumbled instrumental jazz mess that happeesn after the first mention fo her tears
sweet tea does it mention braids idk it just keeps giving me vibes of two girls in love but that could be because i’ve been on a supercorp writing stint.
the insturmentals just take you to another plane of existence
mentions a girl and talks about guys she gives their babies present (strign song) don’t know what to make of this song. gives me many feelings and so much to unpack
where is centenial parrk and do they ahve a yogurt stand there where someone worked. it makes me wonder if songs about not realizing how many times your paths crossed with someone utnil the moment you finally collide and have your first official encounter
mad woman almost seems like its tied to american dynasty hinting at the reasons she went mad after her husband died
when i heard mouth f*ck in madwoman i had teh same reaction as i did when i heard taylor sing “only bought this dress so you could take it off” in dress. adn i am reminded yet again, our girl is growing up. is grown up. she says fu and everything.
betty’s gardne mentions being 17 and not knowing anything and in cardigent we were young and they said we don’t know anything like she was calling BS on his excuse. you knew exactly what you were doing
btrittle heart maybe its like snatches of conversations memoires of meoments togteher things that were said that wer promised that weren’t said things you wanted to say
hoax mentions number one bringing it all back to the first song

As an apology for the character death lapse, how about Supercorp napping together?
Kara hates the way Lena gets quiet around the holidays. At first, it’s all just reminders of how apart she is– when her employees pack up and head home for a long weekend or two, Lena puts her head down and simply powers through it by putting in more hours at work.
And then when they start dating, a new kind of misery settles over Lena. As Kara watches, Lena agonizes over appropriate wines to bring to Friendsgiving, and worries that the truffled farro risotto is too pretentious to sit on a table with sweet potato casserole and Kraft macaroni and Pillsbury crescent rolls.
She sits quietly in her seat, unable to share in the stories of Friendsgiving yore without any of her own to throw into the mix. Her palm sits hot in Kara’s, fingers rigid as her grip rides the edge of clenching and bolting.
Christmas is even worse. They stay in National City instead of going to Midvale, and while Kara is glad for Eliza to come up for a visit– she is– it sends Lena into another spiral. She weathers the meeting of adopted mothers with a stiff upper lip, and Eliza thankfully maintains an appropriate physical distance (if she thought meeting Maggie Sawyer was hard, then she is woefully unprepared to navigate the uncharted tides of Lena Luthor), but as the advent calendar moves closer to Christmas Eve, Kara feels the tension near its snapping point.
When Lena texts her on Christmas Eve eve, the back-out isn’t wholly unexpected. Still, Kara calls instead of texting back.
“Lena…”
“Something’s come up,” Lena responds. “I’m sorry, but it can’t be helped.”
Kara sighs. “Okay. We’ll miss you.”
Over the line, Lena hesitates. “I’ll make it up to you.”
“No, Lena, you don’t have to make up anything. I understand.”
Lena’s breath hitches against the phone. “Thank you.”
“I love you,” Kara murmurs, turning away from where her sister and Eliza pretend not to eavesdrop. “I hope you know that.”
For a long moment, silence issues between them.
“Yeah,” Lena says finally. “I have to go.”
“I’ll text you,” Kara promises.
“Okay.”
Kara finished the preparations in a fog. Nothing about it feels right, but she doesn’t know how to fix it. Christmas Eve dawns in a flurry of stringing cranberries for the tree and icing cookies. By the time friends start to arrive, all Kara can think about is the fact Lena hasn’t texted back, or called. After dinner, her skin crawls with the absence of Lena.
“Excuse me,” she says, extricating herself from between Alex and Winn. “I have to make a phone call.”
Her sister nods in understanding, and Winn barely notices her departure. Kara doesn’t realize she’s about to ditch her own party until she opens the door, fully prepared to step through it and not stop until she finds Lena.
It’s by sheer chance that she finds Lena already on her doorstep.
A happy exclamation dies in her throat when Kara takes in Lena’s reddened eyes and hair tousled from anxious fingers running through it. All thoughts of the party vanish as she steps out to join her in the hall.
“Hey,” Kara says softly. “I was just on my way to find you. How long have you been out here?”
Lena scoffs in self-deprecation. “Long enough,” she rumbles, rolling damp eyes. “Kara, I– I’m sorry.”
“Lena, it’s fine–”
“Is it?” Lena asks sharply. “Is it, Kara? Because if it is, please explain it to me. Because for the life of me I can’t understand how I can want this,” she gestures towards the wall that stands between them and the celebration, “this very thing my whole life, and be unable to enjoy now that I finally have it! I don’t understand why I can’t just, just–”
“Hey,” Kara says smoothly, catching Lena by the arms. Lena sucks in a ragged breath as Kara steps in close. “You don’t have to just anything. Okay? Trust me, I get it. I do.”
Lena shakes her head. “I have always been on the outside, Kara. And I learned to be okay with that, because I could pretend that’s all there was. But now– it’s so much harder when the inside is staring me in the face.”
The sound of Lena’s voice cracking nearly undoes Kara entirely. Christmas cheer feels far away in the face of her loneliness, the loneliness that has spent years burrowing into her bones and feasting on the solitude her brother’s arrest left for her. All Kara can do is wrap her arms around Lena and hold on tight, and pray for Rao to send her some of his light. His warmth.
Lena seems to melt against her, if not in comfort then relief, for having given voice to the demons in her heart. When Kara eventually pulls back, she presses a gently kiss to her lips. Trembling lips kiss her back, until Lena lets their foreheads rest together.
“What do you want to do?”
“I want you to be with your family.”
It doesn’t answer her question. “Lena,” Kara tries again. “What do you want to do?”
Green eyes blink tearfully back at her. “I want to spend Christmas with you.”
With a nod, Kara takes Lena’s hand in hers. “Do you want to come inside?”
At Lena’s small nod, Kara slowly pushes the door open, leaving plenty of time for Lena to change her mind. She doesnt.
“Lena!”
“Hey, you made it!”
“Dibs for Pictionary!” Winn shouts amid the din of greetings, scaling over the back of the couch to loop his arm through hers. “We’re gonna trounce ‘em! Oh yeah! Merry Christmas, bee tee dubs.”
“Merry Christmas,” Lena returns hesitantly.
Alex gives her an extra firm hug, and Eliza is quick to slip an eggnog into her hand. “You’ll need to catch up,” she mutters conspiratorially. Lena accepts it with a damp smile.
She and Winn do crush at Pictionary, but then she and Kara lose spectacularly at Scattergories. Somewhere between Winn singing the tawdry versions of all the Christmas carols he knows, and breaking out Eliza’s chocolate pecan pie, the last knot of tension inside Lena loosens. She melts against KAra, who receives her with a kiss and an open arm.
One by one, they all nod off to “It’s a Wonderful Life,” and KAra snuggles a little closer.
“Stay the night?”
Lena blinks sleepily. “‘Kay.”
The next morning she borrows a set of Kara’s pajamas and stays all day. James leaves first, citing a skype call with his own family. Then Winn, who yawns as he promises to report back on how much Lyra loves the christmas presents he got her. Then it’s just Alex and Eliza and Kara and Lena. Eliza enlists Alex’s help in the kitchen, heating the pre-prepared sides they’d left in the fridge.
It’s nice, Alex decides, despite being voluntold while her sister cuddles on the couch with her girlfriend. It’s been a while since she and her mom connected, and filling the quiet with gentle talk soothes some of the residual hurts of a childhood that ended too soon.
“Finally,” Eliza murmurs, smiling at the figures on the couch. Alex follows her gaze, to where Kara has spread out with her feet propped up on her coffee table. Lena is curled up next to her, tucked against her side with her head pillowed on a muscular shoulder. Both of them doze peacefully, and with both faces devoid of make-up, their youth and exhaustion shows.
“That girl looks like she’s been wound up since the middle of October.”
Alex snorts into her mulled cider. “You’re not wrong.”
To her chagrin, their slumber means her dinner is about to be delayed. Eliza comes to the same conclusion. “How about a walk, honey?”
“Might as well.” Alex dumps her cider into a travel mug and takes it with her. Eliza rolls her eyes, but says nothing. At least it’s not a beer.
National City doesn’t get cold in the winter, but it does get crisp, and Alex doesn’t mind it when her mom loops their arms together and sidles up close. “I’m so proud of you girls,” Eliza says.
“Yeah?” Alex can’t help bracing for the backhanded compliment that feels sure to follow.
It doesn’t come.
“You two have found happiness,” Eliza affirms. “That’s all I ever wanted for you.”
Tears tickle the back of Alex’s throat. “This years been tough.”
“I know, sweetheart. But you’re choosing happiness– your happiness. It took me a long time to realize how much you’ve sacrificed for others’ happiness, Alex. I realize now how much of that is because of what I expected of you.”
Alex doesn’t say anything. What’s done is done. She can only try to move forward, and live her life for herself.
“I’m so glad you managed to find your way, the way you want it. And I know you’ll find someone just as special as Maggie.”
“Doesn’t feel that way at the moment.”
“It never does. Not until it’s suddenly staring you in the face.” Her mom hugs her arm, giving her a reassuring shake. “But it will. I promise you.”
For the first time in years, Alex finds herself glad for her mother’s presence. She leans her head against Eliza’s and sighs a lungful of crisp winter air.
“Love you.”
“I love you too, sweetheart. With all of my heart.”

A Day in the Life of Alex and Elly
[note: As promised, this is a Supercorp baby fanfic mainly dedicated to Director Alex Danvers and how I think she would be as a mom. I wanted to post this on AO3 but I'm still on the waiting list. this is my first fanfic everrrr so pls bear w/ me.]
Part 1 of 3
"It's quiet in here."
Elly thought to himself. The bell rang about ten minutes ago and the last locked cubicle in the boy’s bathroom he's in, felt a bit bigger than usual. He stared at the glossy linoleum coated door and walls surrounding him. In this entire school, this is a place where he feels most safe. He felt the cold strip of metal around his wrist that he’s been wearing since forever, closed his eyes to hear his heartbeat slowing down and his breathing going back to normal.
“Deep breaths, Elly. Just breathe and you're going to be just fine.”
That’s how his mama would always tell him when he’s having difficulty in breathing. He covered his face with his hands, sucked in air through his nose and exhaled through his mouth. Good. He tried to breathe again but halfway through, he felt something itchy got stuck in his throat.
"ACHOOO!!!" He was able to close his hands in his mouth tighter in time as he released a loud sneeze which echoed inside the empty bathroom, causing the cubicle walls to vibrate. "It's happening again. I have to call mom."
An eight-year old Lincoln Eddard Danvers hurriedly walked through the empty corridors of South National Elementary School to the nurse's office, one Tuesday afternoon. He saw her drinking tea, sitting behind her desk through the glass window. He knocked twice to get her attention and Nurse Jane gestured him to come in. He entered the nurse's office which a lot of kids doesn't like coming into. But for him, this place is more comfy than the library. It smelled like clean sheets and ethyl alcohol with a hint of something nice and warm coming from her tea.
"Lincoln! What can I help you with, this time?" Nurse Jane smiled at a teary-eyed Elly, his nose looking red and a bit swollen as she laid down her cup of tea.
Elly rolled his eyes at the sound of his name and walked-in. "Durse Jade, I think I deed to call by bob." speaking with a clogged nose. He helped himself up on the examining bed, trying to speak without breathing too much to avoid another sneeze.
"Are you sure it's not the bullies again?" Nurse Jane stood up to take a good look at him. "It's better to tell your mom, you know. I heard she's a cop?" She blinked her little flashlight at him before examining his arms and neck. "How are you feeling?"
"Oh dough, it's dot them. And my mom’s a detective. It's a bit itchy up here, though" he pointed at his neck, still trying to hold his breath. "I think it's the cinnabon. They had cinnabon rolls in the cafeteria," he noticed that red patches have started to appear on his arms.
"Ah, you ate a cinnamon roll? Have you had this allergic reactions before?" the nurse asked, looking at the inside of his mouth.
Elly shook his head. "Dot like this, just the sneezing," he wiped his snotty nose with the back of his hand.
Nurse Jane scrambled through her desk drawer and took something from the bottom. She came back to hand him a box of tissue and a red colored lollipop.
"Suck on this, it'll help you with the itching," and she started dialing on her cell phone. "Why don't you chill here for a bit, while I call your mom and tell your teacher about it? I'll be back in a second, okay?" she said smiling at him.
"Okay."
Nurse Jane left, closing the door behind her and he heard her broke into a run. Elly unwrapped the candy and placed it in his mouth. He looked around the nurse's office and saw the steaming cup of tea. Quietly, he jumped down the bed and walked slowly towards the nurse's desk. The tea had a soothing smell, so warm that he started to feel much better and a bit sleepy. He closed his eyes and everything went dark for a moment. He heard voices but he felt too sleepy to open his eyes so he kept them shut. This place feels really comfy. There was a long soft beep, a faint thud and another blinking sound.
"…subject still insusceptible to high temperatures and unresponsive to physical pain."
The voice sounded so near that Elly tried to open his eyes to see who it is but his vision was blurry. He felt a bit nauseous and he can see bright white and yellow lights when a female voice boomed again behind him.
"…also seemed to be unaffected by the earth's gravity when subject is stable and in a calm state..."
He felt like the whole place was spinning.
"And where do you think you're going? Come back here."
He felt a hand pulled on his feet and heard a loud heart beating fast. He felt something warm touching his back then surrounding his body.
"Shh. Oh, look at you..."
The voice sounded low and cold, but her smell felt warm and comforting. He was looking right at her but he can't seem to figure out what she looked like. She had black hair.
"You have your mother's eyes, Elly."
"Elly! Elly?"
Elly opened his eyes. He found himself holding the nurse’s cup of now cold tea with both hands under his nose and sitting behind her desk. He looked up to see Alex in her boots and leather jacket with a worried look on her face, standing at the door with Nurse Jane by her side.
"Mama!" he exclaimed with a smile and laid the cup down to the table. He ran excitedly to give her a hug.
"Are you okay? Nurse Jane called and I came as soon as I can. How are you feeling?" she knelt down to look at his son’s arms and neck exactly the same way the nurse did.
"Better. She gave me this." he opened his mouth to show her the lollipop.
"Allergy drops." Nurse Jane told Alex.
"Is it good?" Alex asked him while looking closely at his eyes. He looks fine.
"Yah, it tastes like strawberry," Elly replied.
Alex applied some pressure on his cheeks with her finger. "Does this hurt?"
Elly shook his head.
"Listen, sweetie," Alex looked at his son's blue-green eyes. "Why don't you wait for me outside, while I talk to Nurse Jane for like two seconds and we'll run to the doctor, then get some ice cream after, is that okay?"
"Okay."
Alex planted a kiss on his forehead as he walked outside the nurse's office. "Hey, you forgot something," she called out to him.
Elly came back and gave the nurse a hug. "Thank you, Nurse Jane!" he said with a smile and headed out the door again.
"Sweet boy," Nurse Jane closed the door and was surprised to see Detective Danvers suspiciously sniffing on her cup of tea.
"He really is," Alex returned the cup, and looked her in the eyes with a blank look on her face.
"Detective, I'm glad you-...," Nurse Jane felt nervous.
Alex walked slowly towards the nurse. "I know what else is in that cup, Nurse Jane, but I'm not here to judge you, alright?" she said without blinking.
"I'm just trying to do my job, Detective," Nurse Jane politely replied.
"And as long as you're doing it right, we're good. You got that?"
"Yes."
"I just wanna say thank you for the drops and for calling me right away."
"You're always welcome. You should take him home so he could get some rest. I already spoke to his teacher so you don’t have to worry about anything.” Nurse Jane nervously looked out the glass window to where Elly was waiting. “He's such a brave boy."
"Well, he's a Danvers," Alex smiled. "So, we got to go now. Thanks again."
"Sure. Just give me a call by the end of the day on how he would respond to the drops so I could inform his teacher if he won’t be coming in tomorrow." Nurse Jane opened the door for her and waved at Elly. "Bye."
"Bye!" Elly waved back.
Alex nodded at the nurse and headed out the door. "Come on, let's get outta here!" she took her son's hand and started to walk.
"I'm glad you came to pick me up today, Ma. I really feel better now that you're here," Elly was beaming up at his mom, eyes glimmering in admiration of how cool she looked on her outfit.
"Oh, really? I actually thought you’d like it better if your Aunt Kara picks you up."
"Please, don't be jealous."
"What? I am not!"
"Yes, you are!"
"No, I'm not! You wanna race me, huh?"
And while holding hands, they ran towards the exit, the sound of her boot echoing down the empty corridor. They reached the school parking lot and Elly can’t help but let out a short laugh at her mom.
“What?” Alex asked her son.
“You brought your bike to pick me up from school.”
“I was in a hurry, okay? And there’s also bad traffic, so...” they stopped in front of a black Ducati bike and she handed him a small red helmet. “Safety first.”
Elly just shook his head smiling and put the helmet over his head. “Do you have any idea how my friends and classmates would react if they’re seeing this?”
“Uh-huh?” Alex secured the strap of her helmet.
“Elly Danver’s mom picked him up wearing leather jacket and boots on a Ducati to get ice cream after school!” Elly says in another kid’s voice while securing the strap under his chin. “And guess what? She’s also a doctor and director of the D.E.O.!” he whispered.
“Shh! Hey! That’s top secret!” she whispered looking around the empty parking lot.
“I know, I know. But if that doesn’t spell out cool and badass, I don’t know what is.”
Alex tried to hide her smile. “You’re flattering me too much now, kind sir. You want three scoops?”
“Seriously, mom, it is what it is. And please, make that four.”
Alex laughed, shaking her head. “I guess you really are feeling better now. The nurse said that the cinnamon roll you ate got you good. I’ll bring you in to HQ so I can take a better look at you. Do you feel sleepy?”

Prompt: Supercorp - Lena Luthor asks Kara Danvers to come into the office during work hours for a little discipline ;)
Well, here it is.  I apologize if it wasn’t exactly what you had in mind, but it’s where the words took me lol. EIther way, I hope you enjoy it!
Working Hours
Summary: E for Explicit
When Lena had asked her to come over, Kara hadn’t quiteimagined this was the type of emergency she was talking about.  Even two soaked knuckles deep into Lena’stightening cunt already, and Kara hadn’t quite fully processed what washappening.
First, Lena calls her and Kara can tell her voice is hurriedand desperate.  She says its an ‘emergency’.  Instinctively, Kara had tuned her ears in onthe Luthor.  Her heart was racing.  Between that and the phone call, it was allKara needed to drop her papers and speed conveniently out of the CatCo buildingand rush directly to L Corp, dropping neatly down onto Lena’s balcony.
Hands up, eyes alert and ready for a fight, Kara had walkedinto the office and—
“Took you long enough, Supergirl.”
Kara’s determined walk faltered some when she had seen LenaLuthor sitting there on top of her desk, legs crossed over one another and theshort black dress ridden up to expose those sweet creamy thighs Kara liked toleave handprints on.
“Lee, where’s the emergency?”
“I am theemergency,” Lena’s eyebrows rose as her eyes darted down, gesturing to herselfso Lena didn’t have to use her hands, “I have a task for you.”
“Oh yea—”
“No talking,” Lena had quipped and it was effective ingetting the super to shut her mouth, “You left dinner early last night and didntcome back to bed until after three am.”
“Lena, I had to—”
“No.  Talking.”
Kara had closed her mouth and just stood there, waiting.  Lena was in a mood.
“You left me wanting, Supergirl…so I had a thought.  You were abad, bad girl…and bad girls getpunished.  You’re not leaving here untilI get everything you promised me last night, and then didn’t deliver.”
Oh, that.  That, Kara could do.
Well, she was leaving handprints on those milky pale thighsnow.
Lena was still on her desk, only now her back was pressed upagainst the metal, papers splayed out underneath her and getting absolutely ruined. The material of the black dress was crumpled up at her hips, pushed upto be out of Kara’s way.  Lena’s legswere spread wide, Kara between them, and hastily pumping two fingers into her girlfriend’sneedy core as quick as she could manage.
“Some…emergency,” Kara rasped out between kisses to theinside of Lena’s thighs.  One redhandprint had already been left on the inside of the left one—a reminder ofbeing eagerly spread open.  She felt Lenaclench around her at the remark.
“N-no, talking. O-oh!  O-only working!”
Lena didn’t know how she even managed to get words out atall.  She was trying to be quiet.  Jess was just on the other side of the wall, after all; however, Kara always was adept at drawing out Lena’s moans, like amaestro with their instrument.  Today wasno exception.
Red blotches dotted thick thighs as Kara’s kisses workedtheir way to the center.  Lena spread opena little wider for her, welcoming her in. Hands were suddenly in Kara’s hair and the blonde didn’t need the extraencouragement to lean in and drag her tongue up through salty wetness.  It made Lena’s hips buck.
Kara took it all in: the sight, the smell, the taste.  A satisfied grin made its way to her lipswhen she heard Lena try to bite her thumb to silence another moan that wantedto escape.  A fun game, perhaps.
Kara spread her tongue as flat as it would go, and licked upagain, soaking the muscle in Lena’s juices. She swirled it around slowly, feeling Lena’s legs tighten against herhead.  Slick skin came in contact withthat special, upraised nub, and Kara latched onto it.  She closed her mouth around Lena’s clit andsucked, soothing the rough action with a rub of her tongue shortly after.
She was so excited, Kara had nearly forgotten herfingers.  They thrust back into Lena’swarm and this time, the CEO couldn’t hold this one back.
“F-fuck, Kara!  J-just like that!”
The blonde’s eyes darted up from her work in time to seeLena throw a hand over her own mouth. The other tightened it’s hold in Kara’s hair and gave a gentle tug, pulling Kara closer into Lena’s throbbing pussy.
Another finger joined the two and Kara pushed in as deep asthey would go.  She curled her fingers, rubbing at Lena’s inside walls as they tried to squeeze around them.  Lena’s hips were trying to lift off the desk, but Kara held her down.
Kara was on her knees, the roller chair pushed off to the side, and face buried in Lena’s soaked cunt. Luckily, Kara already knew it didn’t leave a stain, at least not on hersupersuit.
“…taste so good…”
Kara’s comment had Lena squeezing around her.  The CEO didn’t have the energy to keep up hertough facade anymore, especially not when Kara felt so good.  A wet tonguecircled Lena’s clit again, flicking it while Kara’s fingers thrust inside, filling the office with squishy sounds of sex and smothered moan torn expletives.
With one final curl of her fingers, Kara felt an excess ofwetness on her face which she eagerly lapped up.  Lena’s inner walls began to spasm and clencharound the digits which continued to rub and pound into her at a steady pace asthe Luthor road out her orgasm.
To her surprise, Kara didn’t stop.  As the first wave of euphoria began to ebbaway, Lena threw her head back, mouth agape. It slammed into the metal of her desk and she knew it would bruise, but oh god, when Kara sucked on her clit againshe already felt that familiar tight coil building.
“Kara, I—”
Kara heard Lena mumble something else through her hand thatsounded very vaguely like “I’m coming,”but Kara didn’t stop.  Instead, she tookher soaked fingers away, grabbing at both of Lena’s thighs, and drove hertongue inside.  She swirled it around andthrust it in, tasting more of Lena, before she felt her girlfriend squeezetight around her again.
Lena’s hands in her hair pulled and tugged.  It would have hurt some, but neither hadbothered to turn the red sun lamps on that Lena had installed in heroffice.  Kara continued to fuck Lena withher tongue until the woman was utterly spent, and lightly tapped on the top ofthe blonde’s head to let her know she couldn’t go anymore.
Her desk would certainly need to be wiped off.  A sticky wet spot had formed on the edge thatwould need cleaning.
Kara wiped her mouth off with her sleeve, spreading Lena’swet cum over the blue fabric of her supersuit before she grinned and held herhand out for Lena to take.
The Luthor took it and Kara gently pulled her to asitting-up position, Lena’s face flushed from the activities.
“Well, that wasn’t what I expected at all,” Kara grinned andleaned in, planting her lips on Lena’s.
The CEO could taste herself on the super’s mouth and italmost made her want to go again.  Almost.
“That is exactlywhat I was expecting,” Lena chuckled and Kara helped her off the desk so shecould straighten her dress out once more. There were some wrinkles in it, but nothing a proper hot press couldn’tfix when she got home.
“Good girl,” She kissed Kara again, pulling the super in bythe neckline of her suit.
“I should leave more often, if this is how I get punished,” Karagiggled.
“Watch it. There’s still tonight,” Lena smirked then lookedaround, “Uhm…where are my panties?”
Kara took a step back and looked around.  Not under the desk.  Not on top of the desk.  Not on the floor.
“Ah!” She dashed to Lena’s desk chair and retrieved theblack lace.  It wasn’t until she washanding them to Lena that she stopped, her face suddenly twisted into a frown.
“Uhm…Lee?”
She held the torn panties up for the Luthor to see and Lenasighed, putting a hand up to hold her forehead as she shook her head, “Ofcourse…”
“Sorry…” Kara had that awkward smile on her face again, eyesalight with an apology, but honestly she wasn’t that sorry.  She would rip a thousand pairs of Lena’s pantiesif she got to do that again.

"It's six of clock in the morning, you're not having vodka" If u could,,, make it angsty but not like it's trying too hard - Tiny Head
Um, actually, I'll take SuperCorp for 400, Alec -Tiny Head
She’s tired. She couldn’t sleep, couldn’t drink, couldn’t eat. Everything was dull. It’s what typically happens when she learns her own mother has put a new assassin on her tail.
“Miss Luthor we will be putting a security detail on you for the next few days until we are assured the threat has passed.”
“Is that really necessary Agent Danvers?”
“Supergirl is insisting on it.”
On that note, she couldn’t argue with it anymore. There was no way Kara would change her mind. Stubborn as Lena was, Kara seemed to only grow more stubborn if Lena was challenging her.
She sets her head in the palm of her hands, her elbows on her desk as she leans forward. Trying to rub the sleep from her eyes, she doesn’t see the caped crusader land but she hears the familiar sounds of boots then the sliding of a glass door.
“To what do I owe the,” She opens her mouth with a yawn, “pleasure?”
Supergirl walks around Lena’s desk, standing in front of her. “I just wanted to check in on you, see how you were doing. There’s still no sign of the sniper from the other day. Alex is still looking into it.”
Lena nods her head and then stands, walking over to a set of glass cups and drinkware. She opens one bottle, refilling the large vase like pitcher.
“Could I have a glass?” Supergirl asks and it causes Lena to chuckle.
“I didn’t think Supergirl drinks.” Lena holds the original bottle out to the hero, Vodka printed in bold under whatever brand it was this time.
“Lena, it's six o'clock in the morning, you're not having vodka.” Kara walks over to her, taking the pitcher and vodka bottle away.
Lena lets out a deep frustrated sigh before chuckling to herself. “Why, it might be my last chance to even have alcohol.”
“Don’t talk like that.” Kara’s voice drops to a whisper.
“Talk like what? Like the man who tried to kill me two days ago could be in any of those,” she throws a thumb over her shoulder, “buildings, looking at us right now. Just waiting for you to leave. Or like how this is the seventeenth time my mother has tried to kill me, this year. Not in total Kara, this year. And it’s only May!”
“Lena.” Kara comes closer to Lena, her arms out as she pulls her into a hug.
Lena’s arms tuck into herself, slotted between her chest and Kara’s. She presses her cheek right against the hero’s chest, her ear right over Kara’s heart. She can feel the heat of Kara on her cheek and the beat of Kara in her ears. It’s soothing.
“I will never let anything happen to you. Whether it’s the fourth assassination tempt or the thousandth. I will be there. No matter what.” Lena feels Kara press her lips to her head, a chaste kiss before Kara pulls her infinitely closer. “It’s you or nothing. Nothing will take you from me.”
Lena doesn’t know if it’s the sleep deprivation or the love she’s felt for Kara since the day she walked into her office but she thinks she can hear the edges of a confession on Kara’s voice. She closes her eyes and pushes even tighter to Kara’s chest because if it’s a confession, then maybe she’ll be able to sleep tonight, knowing Kara is there, protecting and loving her.

Lena’s assassination attempt.
Supercorp, Kara Danvers x Daughter!Reader, Lena Luthor x Daughter!Reader.
Word count: 1631.
Warning: panic attack.
This wasn’t your mom’s first assassination attempt and probably won’t be the last. You know that. But the last one was five years ago and it was so traumatic that you compartmentalized and pretended it never happened.
You were 10, and you remember that Kara came to pick you up from school in the middle of your math test. You tried to argue, you knew every answer, you wanted to finish it. But she just looked lost and scared, so you went with her. You flew together to the hospital, she kneeled down on the concrete and said, and you still remember every word of it.
“Hey, kid, listen. You don’t have to worry, because I promise your mom is going to be fine.”
“What? Why? What happened?”
“She got… She was shot.” Kara holds you still when you feel your legs shake. You feel like there’s a hole on the floor pulling you in. “But she’s out of surgery, and she is going to recover, ok?”
You don’t answer. There’s no answer to this. You want to see your mom, want to make her feel better, want to protect her. You should have protected her. You’re bulletproof. You could’ve shield her, or fly her out of there. You could’ve done something, but you were too focused on shutting your super hearing and paying attention to your test.
When Kara takes you to the hospital room, the world swallows you. Literally. You can’t see anything but your tiny helpless mom in a hospital bed. It’s too much. And that day you promised yourself that was the last time you would feel this way, and that you would let Lena feel this way.
You also worry about Kara, but it’s different. She fights aliens, super villains and even your uncle. Sometimes she gets beat up, but you know she can shake it off. But Lena, Lena is just human. What if one day she can’t shake it off?
After the promise you made to yourself, you’re constantly checking on her. Her heartbeat, her voice, her breathing. Neither one of your moms have any idea of this, but it’s something that you catch yourself doing every day. So, you’re in the middle of English class when you hear:
“Gentlemen, please, lower your weapons.”
In a blink, you’re running out of the classroom (you obviously didn’t get a hall pass), you find a window and you fly to L Corp so fast; the men didn’t even answer her yet. You break through her window (it was closed, not your fault), and the men get spooked and start shooting at you right away.
You shield your mom with your body, and press the button on the watch to get Supergirl to deal with them. But she takes a while, and the loud shooting noises are stressing you, so you punch one guy on the face, and kick the other one down. Then you grab both men and make your way to the balcony. You’re two seconds away to throw both from it, when Supergirl shows up, takes them off of your hands and flies away with them presumably to the prison.
You run towards Lena, who’s currently sitting on the floor. She has a hand on one arm, and you can see there’s blood.
“No, no, no. It can’t be!” You kneel in front of her, and can’t control the tears running down your face. “You’re hurt.”
“Baby, I’m ok. You saved me.” She is hurt, and bleeding, but still has a smile on her face and she looks proud of you.
“No, mom. You’re hurt.” You use your x-ray vision on her and apparently the bullet is not inside her arm. You see the bullet just grazed through her skin, but it doesn’t look good and it’s your fault. You didn’t shield her enough. You should’ve attacked them immediately, you should’ve thrown them out of the balcony, you should’ve done more. And where the hell was Supergirl while this was happening, anyway? “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I should’ve, I could’ve…”
“Hey, I’m ok. I promise. You did it, kid.” She cups your face with one hand. “You did it, babygirl, you saved me.”
Kara flies in as soon as Lena is finished with the sentence and picks her up in a bridal style.
“Let’s take her to Alex.” She flies away to the DEO, leaving you alone in the room and you look around. There’s glass everywhere. And blood on your hands and on your school t-shirt. You’re supposed to follow them to the DEO, but all you do is sit amid the broken glass and the bullets, and cry your heart out.
Technically, you know she is safe. She only has a wound, she’ll recover. She will be able to move her arm so it’s ok. You did it. You saved her.
You know it, but you don’t feel it.
Your legs are trembling, and you feel the weakest you’ve ever felt in life. There’s blood on your hands, there wasn’t supposed to be blood. Especially not hers. There’s this gut feeling saying you didn’t do enough. You should’ve done more. Lena is still hurt, it’s your fault.
You lay on the floor, there’s so much tears you can’t see straight. And then comes the same feeling of the last time. The world swallows you again.
You hear all the noises, all the voices there are to hear in the world. They are loud, incomprehensive, and are driving you to madness. You want them to stop, but they just keep getting louder and deafening.
And then, you feel your eyes burning like fire and you’re unsure if you are actually using your heat vision, or maybe all the fear is dripping from your eyes in the form of a wildfire.
You try to ground yourself, so you grab the closest thing to your hand; you don’t know what it is, but in seconds it’s smashed into pieces and your hands feel empty again.
Then you hear another crashing sound and you can only deduct you broke the desk. Or maybe the ceiling. Or maybe the entire room is collapsing over you right now, but you don’t even feel it. And you don’t move. You can’t.
The only thing that you can do is yell. So you do it. You try to scream all the panic out of your body, but the only thing you manage to do is freeze the room entirely when you do so.
Suddenly, you feel everything at once. There’s part of the ceiling on top of your body. And you feel more. You feel broken glass and bullets and blood and ceiling and wood and ice. The room it’s a nightmare, but it doesn’t come close to what you feel. You’re not enough. Lena is hurt. You let your mom get hurt. You can’t breathe.
You feel your body being lifted, and you hear in the midst of all the other voices, Kara’s quiet voice in the back of your mind. You don’t dare open your eyes.
“She’s alright, you’re alright kid. You did it, little one. I love you.” She repeats the same words over and over again. And after a few minutes the world is silent again and her voice is all you can hear.
“I’ve got you. I’ve got you. You’re safe.” Kara says and you finally open your eyes. You’re not at L Corp anymore and judging by the metal walls you can only imagine she took you to the DEO, but you didn’t feel any of it. “There you go, momma is here with you, my baby.”
You want to ask where Lena is, but your voice doesn’t come out. Kara is holding you like a baby, you can feel you’re on her lap, she’s making soothing sounds and holding you so close you can feel her heartbeat against your own. It’s helping, but your heart is still beating faster than usual, and you still need to see your mom.
“Just breathe for me ok, baby?” Kara asks and you obey. You suck the air, but it doesn’t feel like it’s going to your lungs.“There you go. My brave girl. You saved your mom. I’m so proud of you.”
“Mom.” You finally say and Kara smiles at you.
“Your mom is safe because of you, little one.” She kisses your forehead and you close your eyes in relief, feeling tears rolling down your cheeks. You don’t know if you’re crying again or if maybe you never really stopped. “Hey, look who’s here.”
You open your eyes again and Lena is right in front of you. She has a bandage on her arm, but that’s all. She holds you tight and you breathe. You finally breathe.
“I’m sorry I wasn’t enough, mom.” You say and Lena holds your face with both hands. One tear falls from her eye.
“You were more than enough, babygirl.” She kisses your cheek. “You’ll always be more than enough.” Then she kisses your forehead. “I love you so much.”
“I love you so much.” You repeat and she smiles. Kara is smiling too; you can see their faces close to yours.
They keep you wrapped in their embrace for a long time. And they keep repeating that they’re proud of you, that they love you, and that you are a hero. You don’t feel like a hero, you feel like a kid that just blew up an entire room out of fear of losing her mom. You know the feeling will follow you for a long time, but right now all you can think about is that Lena is safe, you are safe and Kara is safe. You’re all here, together, and that’s all that matters, for now.

Silver Linings (Ch. 7)-- Supercorp
I am sorry it took me so so long to make an update of this fic, just that my muse didn't wanna work on this for some time :P I try to make this chapter longer as a compensation, so please enjoy! I will try my best to update more frequently!
Ch. 1: First Meet
Ch. 2: Sapphire and Emerald
Ch. 3: Falling
Ch. 4: Slowly
Ch. 5: A Mother Always Knows
Ch. 6: The Night Before
The next morning, Lena shows up at Kara's apartment with a box of donuts. She lets herself in with the spare key Kara gave her a few weeks before.
"Who is it?" Kara's voice comes from the bathroom, muffled.
"It's Lena! I come bearing donuts!" Lena announces, placing the box onto the kitchen counter.
Moments later, Kara emerges with her crutches in hoodie and sweats, hair tied up into a messy ponytail.
"Hey Lee" Kara's heart swells with warmth as she greets her best friends with a faint smile.
"Hey Kar" Lena waits at the counter for Kara to join her instead of going up to help Kara, knowing her friend would like to do things herself.
"You don't have to come, we can meet at the hospital" Kara says once she sits down beside Lena.
"I want to. And I think donuts will just be the perfect breakfast for a day like this"
Lena had decided to come over after their call last night, wanting to check on Kara and be with her.
Kara knows Lena's worry about her, she did sound desperate in last night's call. And she appreciates Lena's thoughtfulness so much.
When they share the donuts and talk about causal things, Kara can feel the domesticity settles into her bones and she likes it. She looks at Lena, who has some icing on her cheek, and reaches out absent-mindedly to wipe it away with her thumb.
Lena freezes when Kara's hand touches her face, her eyes widening with surprise.
"Sorry-- I just-- there's icing" Kara blushes and removes her hand from Lena's face the second she feels the doctor freezes.
But Lena catches Kara's hand with her own, placing it back on her cheek.
"It's okay, I like it. I like this" Lena says, also blushing, with a determined tone.
Kara tears up a bit upon Lena's words. She knows what Lena means by "it" and "this".
"Me too, Lee. Me too"
If not for Kara holding her crutches, Lena would like it very much to hold Kara's hand on they way to the hospital. She can see Kara's knuckles turn white with the force she's gripping the crutches.
She can see Kara's hands shaking, now they're sitting in the waiting room at the hospital.
"Hey" Lena starts softly, hand hovering above Kara's.
Kara lifts her shaking hands and captures Lena's warm one between her palms. She looks up and shoots Lena a tight smile.
"It's gonna be alright. I will be here no matter what" Lena places her free hand on top of Kara's and gives it a squeeze.
"No matter what" Kara whispers, repeating the promise Lena had made to her from the first day.
After some checkups, the doctor approves Kara's recovery progress and give her the permission to start physiotherapy.
Kara is happy, she really is, but at the same time she's scared. She must have shown her fear on her face as Lena squeezes her hand while waiting for the therapist.
"You okay Kar?" Lena asks. Kara's palm is clammy against her own.
"Yeah, just..." Kara has lost her words, she doesn't know how to feel right now.
"Nervous?" Lena supplies softly, hand still holding Kara's slightly shaking one.
Kara nods blankly.
Lena sighs, she hopes there can be more for her to do to take away Kara's nervousness and unease. But all she can do now it to be there with her.
When Kara places her left foot onto the floor and stands on both feet for the first time in weeks, she has tears pricking her eyes. It hurts, her muscles burning, her bones aching. Kara almost collapses onto the floor with the overwhelming pain but Lena's there, catching her at the split second before she hits the floor.
"Easy Kara" Lena helps Kara stand up straight and settles her back onto the chair.
"Why? What--" Tears flow down Kara's pale cheek while she slurs to ask.
"It's normal Miss Danvers, don't worry. This is the first time you put weight on your left foot in weeks, your muscles is weakened by the lack of use over the weeks. You're still healing. That's why you are here." The therapist soothes.
Kara nods, taking a deep breath and wiping away her tears with the back of her hand.
Lena pats Kara's lap before backing away, leaving space for the therapist to work on some muscle exercise with Kara.
By the end of the session, Kara is sweaty and exhausted. She stands with the support of Lena, legs shaking.
"Try to do those exercise at home everyday but do not overdo it. And with the crutches or other sort of support, you can try to put your left leg down when you stand" the therapist instructs.
"Thank you" Kara breathes out.
"I will see you next week then" the therapist gives the two a warm smile, waving to them while they walk out of the room slowly.
"Come on Kara, let's get you home" Lena says, eyes soft with love and pride.
Kara hops into the shower as soon as she's back in her apartment. Lena decides they should call it an early night and orders take outs as an early dinner.
Kara comes out of the bathroom moments later, dressing in fresh clothes and walks towards Lena slowly with her crutches.
"I have ordered take outs, you can rest after dinner" Lena says, offering Kara a glass of water once she sits down on the couch.
"Thank you Lee" Not only for the food and the water, but also for being here.
Kara doesn't say the last part out loud but Lena understands anyways.
"There's nowhere else I would rather be"
"Let's get you into bed, shall we?" Lena suggests when she notice Kara dozing off on the couch.
Kara nods and stands up, grabbing her crutches, then heads into the bathroom for her nightly routines.
Lena goes into the bedroom to pull off the comforter and fluff the pillows for Kara.
Lena presses a soft kiss onto Kara's forehead after tucking her in.
"Good night Kara"
"Stay" Kara reaches out to grab Lena's hand.
"Kara--"
"Please" Kara pouts.
Lena sighs, she can never say no to this pout of Kara.
"Then let me grab a shower and change?"
Kara nods, releasing Lena's hand.
"Sleep Kar, I won't be long"
Later, when Lena slips into the bed, spooning Kara from behind, she whispers against Kara's shoulder blades
"I am so proud of you, Kar"
