It fucking blows my mind how so many men will just see a picture of a woman and feel compelled to publicly announce whether he finds her fuckable or not. This happens on basically every social media site and also irl. Like, did you ever consider that maybe she's not desperate for the approval of random men and she doesn't care if you think that she's too fat or her nose is too big or whatever?
It just gets really disheartening running into this time and time again because it really hammers in the point that far too many men only value women for our looks. Like they have the capacity to comment literally anything and somehow it always comes back to whether a woman makes their peepee hard or not.

Day 3: Four fully-furnished starter tiny homes at varying budgets!
Most starter homes are meant to be blank canvases, but I wanted some that already had personality so you could jump right into playing. I was also inspired by “smallest home possible for X Sims/Y budget-” YouTube videos for TS4 and wanted to try it in TS2! Edit: I forgot to mention- as usual, these are CC free.
§20k Starters for up to 8 Sims
The first two are both your average 20k starter designed to house large families. The blue house has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and is furnished for four Sims by default, while the red house has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and is furnished for eight Sims (!) by default.
Both have a whole 10x10 worth of backyard space, because that's kind of important when things are so crowded - but if you want to shave off even more space or money, the actual houses are built such that the lots can easily be shrunk with the Lot Adjuster to just 10x10 total.
§19,650 - 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom
§19,952 - 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom
Both lots have the same downstairs layout, while the red house has a smaller upstairs landing to facilitate an extra bedroom. By default, the red house assumes two baby/toddler residents, but you can sell both cribs and the potty to afford two more beds whilst staying under-budget.
The back yards are half-”paved” in free-to-own terrain paint in preparation for any outdoor furniture you might want to place. I recommend making use of neighbourhood decorations for free landscaping! Obviously they look boxy and a bit funny on their own, but they look good placed in a row, or squeezed into a small space in an already-populated suburb.
BE AWARE that neither house includes burglar or fire alarms/sprinklers; however, the blue house will leave you with enough Simoleons to afford both. You could also choose to buy enough supplies for a cat and/or a dog with the budget left over.
The staircases have been placed with Nopke’s mod which allows Sims to pass underneath spiral stairs, functionality which should stick even if you don’t have the same mod (unless you buy new stairs). However, the house still functions even if Sims can’t pass underneath the stairs.
The little 2x1 space by the back door ended up being quite useful in such a tight layout, especially the 4-bedroom, like so:
But if you use an open staircase mod, feel free to consider this alternative layout:
§10k Starter for Single Sim or Couple
This one is perfect for newcomer Sims saving up for a bigger house, retired Elders who want to leave the family estate to their adult kids, or frugal Sims who simply have no desire to start a family.
§9,919. The layout is not so large as to feel lonely but not too small that Sims can’t entertain a guest or two. No backyard to this one - it’s a true 1x1 lot.
§2k Shelter
And the ultimate budget challenge - trying to make a decent shack for Sims under 2k. I actually love how it turned out; it looks so cute and cottage-y from the outside and feels so cozy and safe on the inside.
§1,956. No shower, but Sims can sponge bathe in the sink if they get desperate. The toilet is outside but that’s honestly preferable in such a small space. Most of the walls are actually made from roofing to keep the price down but the house is fully weather-proof.
This looks a little silly - but it works! Sims can access the toilet through the cutout provided under this extra roof. Put some neighbourhood deco trees around for privacy and for the woodland fairy cottage vibes. This lot was mostly just a fun challenge, so it’s not super practical, but I do think it could be useful for down-on-their-luck Sims who need a place to crash in a hurry.

i will say i genuinely think no undercoats at all is a bad change like if people didn't like them they could just not use them it's kind of weird to scrap an entire level of customization just because randomly generated cats looked bad. like, the majority of the cats on the site won't be randomly generated anyway there will be some level of user control. personally when designing cats my favorite part was combining the under and overcoats to invoke other things not in the game. like making a "geode" with a rocky undercoat and small vibrant overcoat patches. in general there seems to be a focus on making things always Look Good when the ability to have things look bad is just part of having freedom of customization, especially because what looks good is so subjective. (most of the cats out of the new creator are so yucky to me). the press for aesthetic cohesion means only people with that aesthetic will use the site which is fine, i saw pce be critiqued for the heavily desaturated colors in its design which i Love and i think adds a lot to the atmosphere.
edit: And yes combining patterns that EVOKE a geode is more fun to me than there just being a geode pattern because it allows for creativity and makes me feel like i'm part of the creation process. i feel like the stated goals of paw borough under the original management just matched a lot more with what i personally like in a website. (creativity and user expression being prioritized over cohesion or aesthetic value)

you make great points. and it's such a pet peeve of mine, because here in this fandom we are criticizing mlvn and saying they're gonna break up bc they're having problems and they introduced will's love for mike in this season... and i'm like... if that situation were applicable to other ships, then a *certain ship* also would be pretty much in trouble (jncy) and as much as i hate to say it, just bc a couple is having relationship problems doesnt mean theyre being setup for a definite break up. and s3-s4 exists. and yeah, jpper got together in s4 but they were so badly written in s3 lets be real. and lumx? i adore them in s4 but the way they were written in s3...? and like you said, jncy outright said that they dont understand each other anymore in s3, and s4 rolls we still see them having relationship issues that are not solved yet. if jncy is definitely endgame why mlvn wouldn't in that case...? and iknow, iknow... there are ''certain differences'' between jncy and mlvn but like... why bring the steve thing back then in the penultimate season if its not going anywhere?
all out of 'logical criticism' that are being used for mlvn could also be used for other couples, and are mlvns really wrong when they expect mlvn's relationship issues to be fully resolved and them becoming better in their relationship? after all, they still have not even broken up yet, and the monologue exists, the fact that they still havent fully resolved their issues yet (like certain other couple/s) might just mean that they are gonna resolve them fully in s5. and many of this stuff might be based on different interpretations, but the fact that we hold mlvn to such a selective standard and try to use ''logical criticism'' regarding the way they're written with problems/compatibility meanwhile not doing the same thing to other couples creates flawed readings here.
thank you for saying i make great points🫂
yeah i just think it's funny like this side of the fandom prides itself on its analysis skills and "media literacy" but it's still...definitely biased because if the standard to which we hold mlvn were applied to other ships none of them would hold up. which just means that, again, we have a bias against it (which like, duh), but also that the way they write relationships isn't as consistent as people make it out to be/seem to think it is? literally everything about s3 jpper...what was that. and it's not like it was just silly bickering, he literally didn't trust her intuition anymore and was acting like she was crazy when him telling her that this whole time she was right is such a big pivotal scene in season 1? like what sjdskjds
i'm not saying i don't trust the writers and i'm not saying pointing out the flaws in mlvn is pointless and i still think they're heading towards a breakup and all that but like...some of it doesn't hold up😭
but yes of course mlvns expect their ship that's been fighting and lying for two seasons to end up together...most bylers expect jncy to be endgame when they've been doing exactly that. i still don't think steve coming back as a potential love interest means they're getting back together because we've seen that film before and didn't like the ending and because thematically it still doesn't work, but yeah. it's just funny
