PSA: DELULU
It's been a long few years since we've been on the ship-
No...wait...
It's been like close to five months soon that we've been on this ship and since papgate. The terms we have come up with to speak about certain topics in this fandom was cute at first.
But now I'm annoyed.
Here's the thing. I don't think of myself as being delusional. I don't like to refer to myself or my thoughts as being DELULU just because they're not depressing.
WE ARE ALL THEORIZING AND SPECULATING.
Therefore, one idea cannot and should not be deemed less or more delusional than another. We are all guessing based off the information that's provided to us and clues that we have to dig for. Calling yourself delusional diminishes that hopeful feeling blooming in your chest when you connect the dots or see the bigger picture.
Stop doing this to yourself. If we all turn out to be wrong, then we're wrong. We don't lose anything here. At the end of this madness, we all still have to get up the next morning and proceed with our day.
I'm not telling you to live with false hope but what I am telling you is that if you're feeling hopeful about something you're seeing, please don't immediately brand it as delusional.
You just might be on to something.

hey followers with the default tumblr icon with nothing on their blog, I recommend making your pfp literally anything or putting something in your bio to prove you’re human otherwise some people may block you bc they think you’re a bot.

I'm gonna be honest here, I feel chaotic and powerful as hell being able to write and draw. Practice pays off, practice daily guys even if you don't feel like it, it does wonders.

Does anyone have any tips on how to combat writing and art insecurity? I am dealing with that intensely right now.
"Just write/draw for yourself" IS amazing advice, however I am more trying to figure out how to get around the uncertainty and mental block that is preventing me from doing even that 😅 So if anyone has any tips I'd love to hear it! 💖

I'm saying this as a californian, don't come here thinking you are safe.
There are a LOT of racist/xenophobic/homophobic/transphobic areas.
Stay near the urban areas. Yes, it's more expensive but you are less likely to get hate crimed and left behind. North is where a lot of republicans. Be aware of your surroundings, do not let your guard down here.
hello again (bill clinton limewire voice) my fellow americans
There are a few states that actually have Shield/Refuge laws designed to help trans people fleeing from trans-unsafe states, which also guarantee trans folks access to healthcare. These states are:
California
Colorado
Illinois
Oregon
Vermont
Washington
Minnesota
New Mexico
Maine
Massachusetts
Rhode Island
Connecticut
Washington D.C.
Additionally, some states have "trans sanctuary" executive orders signifying safety for trans folks seeking healthcare. These states are:
Maryland
New Jersey
New York
Living as a resident in these states means you are protected by state's rights and state government to continue or begin receiving trans healthcare. These laws have been codified in their states so everything has been a-ok'd by their state governments.
Stay alive. You got this. I love you.

More on my rant from earlier but I think the popularization of the word "minor" has kind of watered down when it should be used. It originated in legal terminology. Which makes sense. Like when people need to pay child support or when referring to the age of consent. Anyone under the age of 18 is a minor. But saying minors dni is kind of weird on a sfw blog. Especially if you're in your 20's. Like you're just a few years apart from those minors. There's not some sudden transformation that happens on someone's 18th birthday that suddenly makes them an adult. But don't take that out of context in me defending pedophilia or whatever. absolutely not. Please follow not only the law but also your own moral code. Unless it's a bad moral code. Then maybe follow religion. Or your mom's if you're dead set on being an athiest. Anyways I'm not getting into that. I'm just saying if you don't want little kids interacting with your posts (which won't happen because this is Tumblr in the big year 2024) just say you don't want anyone under the age of 14 or so interacting with your posts. However if your blog happens to be nsfw, that would be one of those times where you should either private it (wait, is that an option on Tumblr? Maybe not. I haven't checked. It's an option on other apps though.) or just accept that a minor may interact with your post. There's no absolute in this. But if your blog is sfw, and there's nothing that is really that bad, I don't see any reason with saying "MINORS DNI" other than you may be uncomfortable with it. Which again, not all minors are the same. That's every single person from ages 1-18. If you're so uncomfortable with someone under the age of 18 interacting with your sfw posts, you need to think through why. Or not. I don't control you. I can't tell you what to do. But in real life there's gonna come a time when you're gonna need to interact with someone under the age of 18 and you can't just say "minors dni!!" Children and teens and young adults are all part of this world we share and even if you don't really like them you still have to deal with them. Especially on the internet.

Word of advice for some of my well meaning girlies
If your girl is feeling bad about being rejected, don't make fun of the guy's appearance.
To you it may seem like you're saying she's too sexy for him anyways. But it's going to sound like you're saying she's pathetic and has bad taste for liking him. The rejection is going to hurt bad enough as it is.

Especially if grief or loss related.
I would rather talk now than to cry at a funeral later.

"So, handling your archnemesis," Danny starts. The room falls quiet, heads slowly turning to look at the man as he writes the words on the chalkboard. When finished, the characters somehow both messy and neat at once, Danny places the chalk back down and claps his hands.
"I typically call them fruitloops. Often they're in a better position than you are- older, richer, more powerful. They may have some sort of status that protects them when facing the public."
Tim wondered where Dick was right now, and if he was laughing. His brain was lagging like a computer as he tried to process what Danny was saying, and how seriously a few of his fellow teen vigilantes were taking this.
"Some of their more common tactics are-" the chalk was picked back up, and Danny writes as he speaks.
"Manipulation, isolation, conditioning, and empathy."
MICE.
Tim stares at the board, and quietly slips put his phone.
-What have I done to deserve this.
Enjoy your lessons Tim-
His head thumps against the desk. Conner leans over, gives him a pat on the shoulder but returns to taking notes as Danny goes on to explain the conditioning tactic.

"But if college was free, then people would abuse that and get useless degrees" hell yeah I would! If I could go to college without debt I would make it my job to get a degree in every little thing that interested me. I'd get a doctorate in film studies. I'd have a bachelor's degree for every science I like. I'd try to learn at least 5 languages with varying results. I would learn something "useful" like coding and then follow it up with a ""useless"" degree like art history. I'd be the world record speed run holder for getting every degree possible.
But I can't afford college without going into massive debt, so instead I spent the last 5 years trying to figure out what I am passionate enough about to consider going into debt over, because unfortunately being passionate about everything is extremely expensive to pursue.
