Genuinely a thoroughly gripping tale that I highly recommend. It’s not complete yet (a lot of this list isn’t) but what is there is so amazing please read (though you most likely have read it already haha)

- little kid with a big death wish and firefight by remrose are another two you’ve likely seen but by god are they worth the read. Firefight isn’t done yet but it and death wish are so amazingly well written and really go into how trauma affects people differently and how ties with family can be tested in traumatic situations. Hard subjects definitely but very maturely done. (Also I misread firefight as firelight for way too long before I realized it-)

- Power Up and Times Five by pickedcarrotsandradish are both unfinished but I can’t care because what we were given is so good that I’m fine with them as they are. Both deal with Leo’s insecurities and bad feelings about himself and, very importantly, the fics go into how these insecurities establish a base for Leo’s very real flaws and how those flaws push him to act the way he does. Very interesting and compelling stuff here!! Power Up especially does really cool things for the boys’ mystic power ups, especially Leo’s, and I loved reading about the ins and outs of what they could do.

- Race Against Life, Death, and the EPF by Cass_Phoenix is just so engaging to read??? Like I love the entire set up for it - it’s feels so fresh and like you’re in Leo’s desperate situation yourself. I was so excited whenever a new chapter came out because the atmosphere was so well done.

- A Mixed Bag by GreatlyBlessed is SHOCKINGLY not Leo-centric for once haha. It’s not completed, but again, like the others above it is so good that I recommend it anyway. This story is actually a crossover between four sets of TMNT (‘87, ‘03, ‘12, and Rise) and the dynamics set up in it are SO fun I love it. Team 2 is my fave because you have literally all my faves on that team how could I not?? I also highly appreciate that everyone gets a chance to shine and that there’s no bashing at all, they’re all just very much in character and it’s refreshing to read ❤️❤️❤️

For this request, since One Piece is such a broad series, including filler and movies (to be honest I actually haven’t seen too many of the movies, only the most recent ones), the posts may be a bit shorter, but will cover wide time frames, so I can cover more things that are requested. I hope this will be to your liking.

-You remember the day well, when you first met your big brother, Luffy, when he rescued you from Alvida, who had been keeping you as a slave, forcing you to use your abilities to ‘rewind’.

-Many thought it was a Devil Fruit, but it wasn’t, it was called a quirk, something that you were naturally able to do once you were old enough.

-You were transported to this world where people only had quirks if they ate things called Devil Fruits, and your abilities were quickly discovered and you were once again locked up to use your abilities against your will.

-When Luffy broke the cage you were being held in and reached a hand down to you, you instantly knew this person wasn’t bad like so many of the others and you instantly leapt into his arms, clinging tightly to him, arms around his neck.

-He instantly adopted you, calling you the first member of his pirate crew!

-You knew of pirates, from story books, but they were always painted as bad guys, but Luffy wasn’t bad, not even close and you wanted to see him become King of the Pirates!

-Thus, you, Luffy, and Koby, left together, in search of another person, Pirate Hunter Zoro, to recruit to Luffy’s pirate crew.

-Zoro was hurt and tied up when you found him, in the middle of a big field, taking the punishment of another.

-You nearly cried when he ate the rice balls out of Luffy’s hands, seeing his desperation but also his strength to do what was right.

-Despite being a ‘pirate hunter’ Zoro stood beside Luffy, fighting back against those who imprisoned him.

-Zoro was immediately taken by you, after seeing you peek out from behind Luffy’s leg, giving you a wide grin, despite being injured, to not scare you.

-You took his hand when he introduced himself to you and your horn instantly grew bigger as your quirk flared to life and you healed Zoro’s wounds.

-Luffy scolded you lightly when you came down with a light fever from overusing your ability, but he wasn’t able to be mad at you.

-When you met Nami, you could tell she was putting up a front, acting tougher than she actually was, but with you, unlike with Luffy and Zoro, whom she yelled at, she patted your head, giving you a warm grin, telling you to keep an eye on those two idiots.

-She actually stole you for a short while, taking you shopping to get you new clothes, as you were still in the dress you were in when you first arrived in this world.

-When they saw your scars, finally removing all the bandages which were also dirty and tattered, all three of them were furious, seeing the scars littering your body.

-You were scared to talk about them, finding it hard to breath, until Zoro patted your head, “All that matters now is that you’re safe. Nobody will be able to hurt you again.” And Luffy was quick to agree.

-Nami got you a dress and clothes with long sleeves and leggings, to hide your scars and you had so much fun playing dress up with Nami, while Zoro and Luffy ate at a restaurant nearby.

-When the two of you met up with them, Luffy picked you up, spinning you around, making you giggle in delight, giving the first real smile which made him cry comically.

-Nami was quickly able to see that they both doted on you, Luffy sharing his food with you and Zoro wiping your cheek off that had some rice, she thought the three of you looked so cute.

-When you saw Buggy, your eyes sparkled lightly, seeing a clown, thinking he was a nice person, but you were wrong as he attacked your brother.

-Nami grabbed you and ran, hiding you to keep you safe before she ran back to help Luffy, kicking Buggy between the legs, halting the assault.

-Your hands were over your mouth in shock as you saw this, eyes wide; but she later told you, when she joined the crew as the navigator, that kicking between a man’s legs was the quickest way to take a man down.

-Luffy and Zoro both yelled at her, telling her to not teach you weird things!!

-Usopp was such a brave man, telling you all sorts of stories when you first met him, until Nami told you he was just telling stories and was actually a coward.

-You were hesitant to be around Usopp until your family was fighting Kuro, tears filling your eyes as he hurt everyone while you were hiding behind a rock.

-When Kuro spotted you, he started over and you were in awe, feeling a pressure around Luffy, one you couldn’t explain, as he kicked the glasses wearing man back from you, “STAY AWAY FROM HER!!”

-You hid, covering your ears and clenching your eyes tightly shut during the fight, having flashbacks to Overhaul and to Alvida, both who hurt you so terribly, unable to move, unable to help your crew- your family!

-Nami scolded you when you healed Usopp, Zoro, and Luffy, making you a bit scared until she ruffled your hair lightly, telling you that you shouldn’t over do things, because it would make you sick.

-You never…you never had anyone who told you that before, to not overuse your ability, as they were worried about you.

-You liked the warm fluffy feeling in your chest at this.

-When you saw the Going Merry, yours and Luffy’s eyes were both bright sparkles, you mimicked Luffy who threw his fists to the sky, cheering about having a real ship.

-Luffy pointed out to the horizon, deciding his next crewmate was going to be a cook!

I need to know if I’m alone in this or maybe missing something.

It always bothers me when people say Tim’s childhood was so much worse than Jason’s, or even says they’re the same kinda thing. Am I the only one in this?? (More specifically when they compare them) Like it feels like they’re minimizing Jason’s story to nothing, when it makes his character up as much as his death does. (I’ve even seen people compare Tim’s childhood to Jason’s death, which is. A choice.)

Granted, I’m not a big Tim fan (he’s a cool character, just not the one I focus on) so maybe I’ve missed some part of his canonical backstory or ive subconsciously got something against his character idk.

But from my understanding, Tim is a rich kid who was taken care of (as in, he always had what he needed), just his parents were neglectful? Or away? (Not to say this isn’t bad, of course wouldn’t wish that on a kid either)

But Jason’s lived surrounded by crime and poverty, hell we see panels where he’s hurt and generally not havin a great time.

And I’m fine with people making angst worse because like, favourite character. I’m sure I’m guilty of doing the same to Jason (fave character bias and whatnot) it’s just something that strikes me as odd. You’re also not missing anything in canon, Tim’s childhood was not a tragedy (his parents traveled a lot and he spent his time in boarding school). Were his parents on the neglectful side? Yes. Does that equate to being parentless and living on the street before the age of 12? No. I answered an Ask about Tim a little while ago explaining why I don’t really care much for Tim in the comics or a lot of fanfics. And I only ranted a little about how projecting Jason’s trauma onto Tim is Not. Cool. So maybe check that out.

As for my opinion on this … *takes a deep breath* Let me start by saying that everyone should like what they like, read what they want, write what they want, etc. No judgement or shame intended at all.

But … my opinion is that the enemy-to-caretaker trope is to blame for the over abundance of this dynamic in the fandom.

It seems like this trope grew out of/is a Gen take on enemies-to-lovers. I have absolutely no problem with this trope in general. In fact, I quite enjoy it in certain settings. But the thing is, lovers can be equals. But a caretaker, that has an inherent power imbalance to the relationship. A caretaker takes care of a person who is in some way weaker or less able than them.

So, to make Jason a caretaker for Tim, you somehow have to make Tim weaker, and with time and repetition that’s gotten amplified to much weaker.

The easiest way to do this is to jack up the angst and trauma of Tim’s origin story and increase his overall vulnerability. Because in reality, the inherent power imbalance between Jason and Tim is not that significant. Jason is only two years older than Tim. They’re both supposed to be badass vigilantes who can fight and solve crimes. Tim’s home life was loads more stable and supportive.

Play a few games of fanfic telephone, and all of a sudden you have a baseline of touch-starved Timmy who was made to sleep in a cupboard under the stairs as a wee little niblet and then Lazarus-mad Jason came along and tried to murder him repeatedly (nope), slit his throat (‘twas but a scratch), and generally traumatized him beyond repair (Tim is Robin, pretty sure he’s been beaten up before). 🤦‍♀️

The others might buy Zuko’s little transformation, but not Katara.

She knows exactly how sympathetic he can make his sorry life seem, all in the pursuit of Fire Nation supremacy.

So that’s why she’s been interrogating Zuko in his room for the past 15 minutes. She’s made him promise he won’t fire bend at her, and she did not feel a tinge of regret when he frowned and said he would never, sounding almost hurt.

Even so, Katara stands at the ready in front of him, hands sheathed in water just in case Zuko decides to break her rule.

“So you’re telling me you saw the soldiers that were following us back in Fire Fountain City. And yet you can’t describe them?” she asks, voice dripping with disdain.

Zuko groans and rolls his eyes, almost as if this was nothing more than an annoying hassle for him rather than the serious interrogation it was. He waits a beat, staring angrily at the floor, before he lifts his head to meet her eyes.

“Well, they were human,” he says, voice annoyingly sweet. “Two legs. Two arms.”

Katara scowls.

“They were wearing helmets,” Zuko says in exasperation. “Am I supposed to be able to recognize soldiers by the way they walk?”

“Maybe!”

At this point, Sokka enters with a steaming cup of tea. He takes one look between the two—the scowl on the prince’s face and the murderous intent on Katara’s, and mutters, “Not sure you know what you’re doing, sis.”

At this, Katara transfers her glare to her brother, though he only rolls his eyes too.

Katara huffs and takes the tea that Sokka brought, silently dismissing him. Sokka sends what seems to be an apologetic look (traitor!) to Zuko before wordlessly exiting.

“It’s about time,” says Zuko when Katara hands him the mug of tea. “Hope he got it warm enough, since you’re forbidding me from bending.”

Katara ignores him. “How did you even get here?” she snaps, hoping that asking this question for the umpteenth time will expose how he’d been following them for weeks (which was likely!) or how he’d kidnapped some of their friends to get their location (even more likely!).

“I told you; I stole a war balloon and followed you from Caldera.” He takes a sip of his tea and sighs. “I’m done. Let me talk to Aang.”

“Not yet! I’m not done!”

Zuko purses his lips but doesn’t argue any longer.

“How did you break into the North Pole?” Katara finally asks.

Really? Zuko’s expression seems to ask.

For some reason, he smirks at her. “Hmm, I’m not sure.”

“Tell me.”

“I’m trying to remember,” he says, putting down his tea to make a show of tapping his chin. “It was very traumatic.”

“How long are you going to pull this crap?”

“How long are you going to keep me prisoner in my own room?”

Katara sniffs. “I’m not leaving you alone until you tell me something worthwhile.” Until he proves to her that allowing him to stay here will have some sort of benefit.

“Fine,” Zuko says, lying back and stretching out on his bed. One arm holds his head up as he watches Katara over his nose. “We can stay here all day and all night, with you—what did you call it?—interrogating me.” He smirks again, the crooked expression on his face downright infuriating.

Katara abruptly changes tactics, crossing her arms and stepping toward him, the water falling from her hands in large splashes that she ignores. “You know what, I don’t think you want me to leave you alone,” she says slowly, her lip curling in satisfaction. “I’m the only one who will talk to you, anyway.”

Zuko’s smirk falls, and Katara feels a little flame of triumph in her chest roar to life.

“Right, I don’t want you to leave me alone,” he parrots, the bite back in his voice. “I definitely want to be constantly reminded how much you hate me.”

Katara does not feel another twinge of regret. She does not push anything away.

Instead, she falls to her knees with a mocking gasp.

“Does his highness require better accommodations?” she says, her voice warbling. “Better amenities?”

“Katara—” Zuko says, unamused.

“An innocent victim to burn, perhaps?”

“Katara, please—” Zuko says, voice more serious. But she keeps going.

“Do you require a maiden before you cooperate?” she taunts, crawling toward him and exposing her neck. “What about me? Will I do?”

At this point, Zuko is exhaling smoke, but he’s not bending. She wonders how far she can goad him. She crawls closer until she’s at the edge of his bed and mockingly reaching toward him.

“Please, your highness, what must we do to please you?!” she all but shrieks, vaguely feeling like she would make a great actress as Zuko slowly shakes his head, as if to say What did I do to deserve this?

Well, she can think of a lot of things!

Just when she thinks of naming all those things to Zuko, she suddenly hears the swish of a cloak behind her and the sound of wood hitting the ground. Her and Zuko both turn toward the noise, to see Aang, a confused smile on his face, his ears a little pink, and his glider in his hand.

“Um—Katara—I think I’ll talk to Zuko now,” says Aang slowly, eying her strangely. She’s about to ask what’s up with him before she realizes her arms are sprawled beseechingly toward Zuko, her body half on his bed and half on the ground.

“Right, yes!” she says, getting up daintily and wiping her tunic with her hands as if what she’d been doing was perfectly normal. “I’ll just be—”

Inexplicably, she looks back to Zuko, who is also watching her, bemused.

“Bye!” she squeaks to the room with a hurried wave.

She’s talking to Aang, of course. Not Zuko.

Definitely not Zuko.

omg first of all thank you for sending this also i just saw your header and that’s such a slay

this is SUCH a good question and i know it’s so controversial so this is just my personal take!! i totally understand why people might think it’s wrong-

but i do believe that annie was a career and volunteered for the games. i think all victors are damaged from their games in a way and annie is just a different (perhaps more extreme?) example of the affects of being in the arena.

the thing is, you can have all the training in the world- but nothing really prepares you for that kind of violence. especially not seeing your district partner, someone you knew, being decapitated. that is extremely heavy and traumatizing to witness even for someone who volunteered for it. and yes, maybe most careers wouldn’t be impacted by that to the extent that by the human brain is a weird thing and all people react differently.

i saw someone make the comparison between soldiers signing up to join the military and still coming out deeply traumatized by what they saw and i think that’s a pretty good example. you can know what you’re getting into, you can train, you can do whatever- but you’re never truly 100% prepared to go through something like that.

in my opinion, that actually makes her a much more interesting- and no less sympathetic- character! i think a lot of people don’t want to associate annie (and even finnick i see a lot) with being “careers” because the careers are associated with being the bad guys and no one wants their faves to be the bad guys. but the careers were not evil/bad people- they were brainwashed children. but that’s another rant for another day.

so yeah idk if any of that even made sense but basically:

yes, annie is a heavily traumatized- but real- career.

Since this period, you have developed one habit - you always check his heartbeat by placing your ear against his chest. Most often you do this, let’s say tradition, after nightmares and the rhythm of his heart always calms you down, assuring you that your loved one is still nearby, which makes you involuntarily mutter quietly under your breath so as not to wake him up: "Oh, thanks god that's you’re still alive... The beeping monitor could never calm you, nor did it help to lessen the anxiety of the day. In fact, the steady beat made the anxiety even worse than if it were a regular alarm because every time it made you feel like everything in your life was slowly unraveling apart and then being swallowed whole into the abyss of sadness.

Your husband Osamu is in the hospital bed as your tear-stained face kisses his pale knuckles, holding on to them tightly without letting go ever since you came to the hospital. He is still sleeping, and he looks absolutely peaceful, just like how he looks after every surgery or treatment he undergoes. You are sitting at his bedside, trying to avoid looking at his face because it is all you can see when you close your eyes. But sometimes it gets harder and you end up staring at him like there is nothing in the world more important than staring at him.

Your heart aches whenever you visit, and to add that, you weren't even sleeping well because of the recurring nightmares, the only time you are at ease is when you are near him, to be exact, your ears near his heart, listening for the comforting thump as his pulse slowly eases your soul and calms you down.

The hospital door opened and you immediately went back to your seat, not wanting anyone to see such a vulnerable action you were doing, you then wiped your tears to see who it was, and it was none other than your nineteen-year-old daughter, Mizuki. She didn't even need to analyze what you were doing, she simply walked up next to you and hugged her dear mother, and you immediately reciprocated the gesture and pulled her tight, burying her head in your neck as you tried to catch your breath, overwhelmed with emotions as she squeezed her arms around her mother.

"Don't worry mama. Papa is much stronger than you think. . . "

It had been over two years since the tragedy happened and now, almost three years later, your husband has been doing fine, heck excellent even, but what happened the reassuring memories always mess with your sleep and Osamu wasn't blind to your worries, he would give you calming tea, he would even make comforting meals or make bouquets to help your nerves relax, but the most important thing was that you could get a good night's sleep because it wasn't healthy for you to stay awake during sleepless nights. Osamu knew that you had nightmares about the terrible events, and he felt sorry that you had to lose sleep because of him, but inside of him swells whenever you hug him for comfort, the memories could come back in the middle of the day and you can't help it but hug him in front of many people, it's rather flustering but he can't push you away. (onlookers nearby think it's cute to see an old couple hugging, little did they know that this was the same dude that isolated you from your loved one so you could depend on him)

Yet nothing squeezed his heart more than that one fateful night.

A loud gasp and a sudden movement woke up Kashiwagi and to no surprise, it was your nightly terror, even with the lights out the only kind of brightness was brought by the blue moon, illuminating the room slightly so that he could see you laying at his side, his arms around you while you were clutching his hand. Your face was twisted in agony, eyes clenched shut while you were gasping for air through the tears flowing freely like streams down your cheek. A single drop fell onto the sheets beside him as his wife began to sob, shaking violently and trembling in fear.

That tear managed to make Kashiwagi wake up, not wanting you to experience any more of the nightmare you were having. He gently put his hand on your shoulder, "Shh, it’s alright, (Y/n) … it’s just a bad dream", he said in a low voice. Yet even with his comforting words, your eyes couldn't help themselves from having tears waiting to flood out their sockets and pour down on his skin. That simple gesture made Osamu feel as if someone just kicked his stomach hard. As he tightened his grip around your shoulders, making sure not to hurt you, you suddenly stopped crying and turned to look at your husband with teary eyes and a pained expression as you whispered.

"Oh, thank god that you’re still alive… The sound of your beating heart is the sweetest sound of my life".

How can Kashiwagi say no when you look like that? It was impossible, but that didn't stop him from sighing in defeat. He looked at his hands for a few seconds before lifting them up and wiping away some stray hairs behind your ears. After that, he kissed your forehead lovingly before whispering.

"I love you too. The tears in your eyes hurt much more than what happened to me. . ."

real and true, not professors but like my fave teachers in school were the quote on quote lest fave ones because like yeah they’re scary and stern but they were always far more understanding than the nice nice overly nice ones (not to say this was always true, there were genuinely sweet to their core teachers and ones who acted like they wanted us all gone from the earth but like ya know)

the tier list in my experience is like this:

1. seems strict, is actually friendly (they care about their job but care about their students too. they get you to respect them right off the bat but then show their softness where it counts)

2. seems friendly, is actually friendly (you will enjoy this class! but you won’t actually learn anything. better do your own studying for all three homework assignments there are. but at least they’ll be easy)

3. seems strict, is actually strict (managing expectations is worthy of respect. you’re in for a bad time but you can at least prepare for it so that makes it easier. kudos to the wolf who feels no need to dress as a sheep)

4. seems friendly, is actually strict (welcome to hell. welcome to hell. they have absolutely zero respect for you as a person or your time as a busy student and are probably just in this profession as some sort of vengeance power trip bc their own childhood traumatized them)

Oh man, this one is hard.. I'm usually very 50/50 when it comes to characters I dislike, but let me try!

I'll add it under the cut so it won't upset people who do like the characters. The ones I talk about are: Betty and Sanemi (which also means Demon Slayer spoilers)

Betty is someone I used to just dislike, because of how cruel she was to Ice King most of the time, how she only wanted to fix him and completely ignored that he was ill, just doting on the person she used to know, completely ignoring how his identity and mental health had changed.

It's sadly very common for people dealing with mentally ill loved ones...

However, Fionna & Cake made me neutral about her, because I saw a lot of myself in her during the season. She sacrificed everything about herself for Simon, out of love and admiration.

Learning that she acts exactly like I do when I'm in love with somebody made me understand her character a bit more, and it's a lot easier to project onto her now XD

Sanemi is the type of character that I typically despise. Impulsive, loud and aggressive.

However, after reading the manga, I can kind of understand why he acts the way he does. He lost everything because of demons, he's traumatized and he had to be the one taking care of his little brother and himself.

Genya was just a child when he called Sanemi a murderer, so he didn't understand the weight of his words, but Sanemi also didn't understand that Genya wasn't trying to be as hurtful as he came across.

And I understand that Sanemi isn't angry at Genya because of what he said, he just feels guilty AND he knows that the corp is dangerous, so he tries to not show weakness and push his brother away from danger

He's trying to survive and actually live with himself and his trauma. He's an interesting and complex character, and I respect him for that.

Prev answer: It definitely changes! Earlier this summer my fave was Tennis!Dan (still my beloved) but I’ve been focusing a lot on Enchanted Au: Christmas so our little disney princess has been top of mind. I love me some bewildered Maxy

Prev answer: “This one is hard because I have imposter syndrome so unfortunately if I’m told “here this is your prompt” there’s a high chance I won’t be able to write anything. I can choose a prompt from a list just fine but there needs to like be some form of fluidity for me (I’m very hesitant to join challenges/gift exchanges cause of this) And then there's also the whole ‘well I chose this and now I have to deliver and what if they hate it and it's no good?????’  So I’ll still with fluid prompt lists and independent ideas for now”

74. You’ve posted a fic anonymously. How would someone be able to guess that you’d written it?

This is my previous answer: “Oh this is hard because I truly don’t know if theres anything I that I do across fic. If there is, please lemme know!! I’ve managed to shoehorn a twilight (movie) reference in 2 of my big fics tho so that makes me giggle.”

I’ve had more time to think about it and maybe it’s if their driving I have them ‘clenching the steering wheel rhythmically’ to show anxiety maybe. Idk, what do I do across fic?

btw, this list has a very specific definition of meow meow - in that for now, it will be men or men-adjacent, and there is some doable sense in actually imagining my meow meows as poor little kitties literally speaking

so i can’t include some of my other faves like Fray (they have a backbone) or Zhongli (hes grandpa not meow meow) or Kaeya (man’s a mess and borderline meow meow but i also don’t like nor want to imagine him as a poor cat like please give him some agency), etc.

anyway the analysis!!

Judai - literally loses it mentally, spawns an alter ego that commits genocide, is a depressed semi-cringe mess after the fact, generally bad with friendship at times

Yuya and co. - the entire fucking anime is a traumatic conga line except for Yuuri who’s enjoying the literal carnage

Yusaku - has PTSD and probably depression, lowkey goes through some shit over the course of the anime but ultimately goes from intense broody loner who doesnt want to bring others in for fear of hurting them to shounen protag who accepts the power of friendship. also i am This close to adding Ai into this as well but that little guy is a whole other can of worms and honestly Ai himself is kinda a meow meow but until s4 he’s literally the designated butt monkey until the producers “oh shit make him Hot and make him the antagonist” and sdiugcgsdyusuyd i could go on forever on this

Ouma - a trickster, patholoigcal liar, has massive trust issues but still wants to help everyone except he just cannot get himself to cooperate without pulling teeth (understandably so), at heart a nice guy it’s just hidden behind his lvl9999 friendship level and the fact he’s seeing the worst of humanity right now so honestly give him some slack

Saihara - initially a nervous traumatized wreck with probably depression and anxiety until Character Development and he becomes more confident and kinda cool actually. also his depression never really goes away even at the end of the game so it’s nice to see that while he’s still struggling with it, he grows in a way that he has the means to grapple with it all the same. also he has the coolest debate animations with a sword like naegi and hinata take some NOTES!!!!!

Akechi - he’s had a terrible childhood, probably traumatized by the idea of being loved bc his dad sure doesn’t give a shit and his mom is a 50-50 depending on how you want to view it. either way, social systems further ruin his life and then, when the idea of plausible revenge comes to him, he takes it bc he understandably can’t just let all of his suffering go, but is twisted by the ambition into doing anything for it including murder. and then he dies. and then he not-dies and you’re forced to decide his fate when he just wants to be free of it all at that point and my god third semester Hurts

Childe - loyal general to a god rebelling against the divine (likely; technically unknown but we can plausibly assume at this point). just wanted to be a cool hero, got chased around and fell into literal void hell and came back with a taste for ever-difficult thrill and bloodlust but still retaining his loving family self so its a funny dichotomy of ruthless soldier and best big brother in the whole world. does he have mental issues? sorta no, actually, he’s just got a very Different view of the world.

G’raha - this man is a literal meow meow for fucks sake (also he can cook. he can cook!! he looks after you, gives you money, does all he can to make sure you don’t have an issues whatsoever, my god if he isn’t a meow meow he’s just a househusband!!!!!!). also he implicitly has depression of some kind until later on in the story + pulls a lot of insane shit just to save your life like god damn. also - pathetically bad at acting.

Ain - his 3rd path is a whole roller coaster but his 4th really makes him a meow meow in my eyes; to become so desperate as to indiscriminately destroy in order to get his goddess’ attention on him again, it’s truly a pathetic meow meow situation. also his 2nd path is cute for teaching him to learn emotions and love people despite being a ‘higher’ being of sorts. also the whole “gonna sacrifice myself and be forgotten” bit i guess lmao

TL;DR

-have a very sharp duality of personality/motivations externally or internally, often with a side of mental health problems. -be put in twisted or difficult scenarios that are often twisted so because of their own actions. -the above should lead to them acting in a way that seems.... kinda pathetic, when you take a step back. at least a little. -THEY NEED TO STRUGGLE, AT SOME POINT, SOMEWHERE with some exceptions depending. -there is a bonus if they’re be good supportive loving husbands all things aside, but not super mandatory

idk one of the biggest indicators to me on ttpd that Taylor went through major trauma is the fact that Taylor says

“So tell me everything is not about me, but what if it is?”

“They said they didn’t do it to hurt me, but what if they did?”

Whatever and however that trauma happened and left her within — this is a very realistic thought process as you’re stuck between getting better and wanting to feel a consolation about feeling this way as a reflection of your trauma.

I’m not trying to add any more discourse into her life/humanity as it’s been wheeled since the release of any work of hers, but it’s definitely astounding how she can say That & how she’s so depressed but her masking will be suffice & have it be that way exactly.

The masses don’t care for her or can’t sit still for a fucking second because THEY HAVE TO decode everything and connect it to someone somehow instead of LISTENING as you’re meant to when you encounter a new viewpoint/form of art someone is willing to share with you— as personal as it can get.

The behavior that is shown on X alone makes me wish she doesn’t release Rep Tv and leaves people hanging because it’s deserving. It really wouldn’t surprise me if she ever wrote a book down the line & called her career traumatic over the years. She doesn’t owe anything to anyone whatsoever but I can’t wrap my head around how stan “ culture “ can create robot like emotions on a human & forget that what they do/say is impactful EVEN with the slight possibility it will/wont get attraction by/to your fave.
