So a few days ago I made a blank scripts OC named Mell, and ever since I made her I’ve been just thinking more little tidbits of more for her, so here’s a silly little doodle page I made ^^

Lore:

- Mell is a NPC who often lurks in the shadows of the dungeon watching and observing everything and everyone

- She is incredibly shy and introverted towards others, often avoiding the ‘janitors’ and any unlikely visitors

- She has a boyfriend :0 his name is Zephyr, and he is another NPC! He’s just a silly farm boy who gets into trouble a bunch and hurts himself on accident a lot. He’s very affectionate and clingy, which Mell doesn’t mind at all ^^

- ^ she’s pan!!

- Mell likes the guard dogs of the dungeon, often getting sorta bitter when others find them ‘disgusting’ (she thinks they’re pretty cool)

- Fun Fact: her apron is WAY too big for her, which is why the ribbon is tied around her waist two times

- She’s has a restrictive eating disorder! She can only eat meat (meal-wise; desserts and candies are fine for her)

- If she actually existed IRL, she probably would be rlly into fundamental paper education (which I kinda based off the background on!)

- She absolutely HATES when there’s too much light in one room. It just gives her so many sensory issues to where she will cry if she can’t get out of a bright room

- Mell likes to infodump to her small group of friends, and will absolutely try to impress someone with her knowledge if she finds them rlly cool

- Another fun fact: she likes playing with her bones and feeling the texture on them, and even sometimes lets Zephyr to touch them if they’re just walking around doing nothing

hey there! i'm happy you've stumbled across this little au and that you're enjoying it so much! it's been a lot of fun to work on. the basic premise is pretty much as it says on the tin - an au that takes place elsewhere, where elias, peter, and simon explore the strange and mysterious around their little town and... run into more than they bargained for. meanwhile martin and jon have found themselves in this place, and have to grapple with Who these kids are. ahaha i'm pretty bad at descriptions, honestly, i hope that was okay! thank you so much for your kind words! i'll do my best to keep creating more

sorry i’m reusing these photos i’m too sleepytired to take new ones but oh my god. i’m not even joking i told my wife this morning this thing is like such a massive comfort object for me already i’m So attached to it. i almost started crying over how much i love it she’s so perfect and has like every single quality i like w/ stimming:

💛 very very soft (minky) fabric to pet, perfectly soft idk how to describe it but the fluffy fuzzy super soft texture is heaven to me

💛 she’s slightly weighted! she has little beans all on the bottom of her and this differently textured bottom fabric that’s also fun to mess with i can feel the beans inside and move them around a bit

💛 her bell !!!!!!! it’s a real bell it jingles when i shake her this thing has everything like i said all my fav things put into one little tiny plush.. oh she’s like palmed sized too absolutely perfect for holding not too big or too small it’s like perfectly sized !! i can bring her with me wherever i want ^_^

sorry for my autism rant but seriously i’ve never gotten so quickly deeply attached like this before except maybe with Cinder.. idk i’m just so happy i have her and obviously she’s isabelle a character i find massive comfort in..

i also think she’s a good luck charm i brought her yesterday in the car w/ me to the job interview i did rlly well at, she just makes me feel so happy & safe idk… this is embarrassing btw i know and i’ll possibly delete this when i wake up later but wah.. i love my little isabelle plush so much…

just a random thought miss kendra, but when i saw those gifs of leo in the drama, i was honestly pleased to see facial lines. it's refreshing to see idols that don't abuse filler or botox to get rid of them. it honestly makes him look more "real" and expressive. the whole "smooth, flawless poreless faces" crap rlly needs to go.

ikr :') like its so nice to see someone that's objectively pretty but with a face that actually moves nd isnt like.....doll smooth. and its wild bc leo's only 32 but him not messing w his smile lines is borderline a fucking miracle as an idol 😭😭😭ive noticed actors/musical actors will go easy on the botox bc they actually need to emote but these full-time idols will be 25 totally stiff its sad!!! anyways the best part of happy ending is seeing leo's skin texture!!!!! like hello down to earth handsomeness!

what's your usual workflow/process like? what programs do you use?

Oooh thanks for asking!! I use clip studio paint! (Mad about the upcoming AI update, but. Oh well.)

As for my process, I usually use a similar process (with some exceptions of course) for all my pieces which I can go through step by step! I'll use my previous piece as an example :)

This got rlly long so I'm putting it under a readmore hfhkjg

My default page size is 3000x3000 px but for sketches I usually zoom in, and then make it bigger when I'm happy with it. The first one is SUPER loose and sketchy, then I just keep sketching on one layer and kinda carve away at it with an eraser too until I feel it's done

This was a stage I used to hate a lot bc humans are hard to draw but now I find it rlly fun! If I was doing smth more painterly then I wouldn't do anymore line stuff and would go straight into colouring (sometimes incorporating the sketch into it). But tbh I find doing lineart rlly relaxing, it's my favourite stage of drawing!

This is the brush and eraser I use for sketching, the eraser comes with CSP but the brush I downloaded!

Then the lineart! As I said it's my favourite part, I usually try take care with it as I like it looking neat. That said, I have been letting myself go quicker lately and not be overly nitpicky with the details and I'm happy w the results!!

The casper pen is the one I use the most (for this piece too) but, I like these other ones too! (Also all downloaded)

Then base colours! I use a cool eraser that can detect lines which makes it rlly easy to do

You set your lineart layer as a reference layer and then you're all set! It's also one I downloaded, but these are just settings you can add to any eraser you already have

I pretty much do each colour/section on a new layer so I can easily change them if I want, then put them all in a folder and do the shading/light on top!

I shade with a multiply layer (usually purple or blue) and add light with add glow or in this case, glow dodge (using yellow/orange/light green here lol)!

And thennn I basically just go mad with overlays lol, it makes the colours a lot more cohesive and adds depth kinda?

I also like adding a light line behind, and sometimes work that into the rest of the piece like the example on the right, but for this piece I wasn't bothered skjhfkjg. I'm also not bothered to do backgrounds so I usually just have fun with a textured brush!

Starting strong with the angst I see. It would've been more surprising if Giann didn't end up with PTSD after all the shit he's been through. And unfortunately PTSD doesn't really care if you've returned to safety or not.

I cannot believe Luke would rather a vase be thrown at him than Vyn's muffins. How good are these muffins???? I wanna try one...

I love Luke's idea of improving security being turn a formerly-normal room into something fit for a top quality near-unbreakable secret base. The tranquiliser dart in particular got me. Luke this is a hospital room cgxgjdgj

I see Giann has realised the duality of Luke now. It really is such an interesting aspect of him.

Oh, nice Lost Gold reference! Extremely cute scenario too, of course Marius would do that. Man, Luke thinking about Marius' hands being important since he's an artist makes me melt a little. It's only a few moments before Luke realised he was in love, but he's still thinking about the little things like that. I don't know, it's just nice.

When I read this I did not expect to get smacked in the face with character traits that resonate with me xjgckhc but I really feel Luke on this one. Asking for help is so damn difficult, how do people do it?

FGKDIFGOC LUKE NOOO GIANN'S HAD ENOUGH FROM VYN AHAHAH!!! At this point I just anticipate the jokes, I can't wait to see how Artem shoots himself in the foot too. Poor Giann, the vagueness of all the jokes honestly probably makes it worse.

As always, I loved this chapter and by extension the character analysis that comes with this fic. There's something about seeing character analysis in the form of a fic that hits different from a regular one, though both are excellent and I'll gladly read any character analysis. i adore luke so much but YEA HES SO ?????? like, i think we, as the audience, r desensitized cuz we've been w him for so long. but i rmr when i first played thru That Scene in perso story 2 and Those Scenes in lost gold, i was like HOLY......FUCK.......WHAT?? tried my best to channel tht into giann

and also didnt have to try at all to make luke a hopeless bumbling rambler. just occurred to me that among the boys, i make luke and artem the bumbling ramblers, but luke is the one who goes into long loooong kilometric run-on sentences and loses track of what he originally says, meanwhile artem starts sentences. stops them. starts another. Oh God, Hes Fucking Up, Isnt He? He's GETTING A BAD GRADE AT TALKING!!!

the whole "marius fucks up chopping wood" during lost gold scenario was actually a fic idea i wanted to fully write waaaaaayyy back when lost gold was still running!! i never got around to it, but im glad i was able to use it here. it was wholly bcuz that whole resource collection thing put marius as 2nd most proficient at collecting wood and i read that to mean as "oh his pre-installed inferiority complex aint gonna do so well w that! lemme make it tender romantic" dgjhdvgks

luke: it's hard to ask for help me, the person writing this and making him say that: damn me too

tho jhvkJGVJH while that was 50% projecting (IT'S FUN IT'S FREE ) it is just another one of luke's many quirks in canon that make me wanna strangle him and hug him. so much of his lying is cuz hes scared, he doesnt wanna ask for help, he wants to keep ppl happy by keeping his bright and invincible sunshine boy image untarnished by things like fear and guilt and sadness. but hes trying to be better in spite of all of those, and that matters. and giann, right now, needs to see admitting pain matters

on the "sir" joke: luke, if giann hadnt stopped his nervous ramble, wouldve totally accidentally let it slip that it actually is a sex thing. tho his answer as it is in the fic is vague enough to NOT be construed like that, but alas, giann got his mind primed by vyn. so now giann is hypervigilant over anything that can be even ADJACENT-LY a sex reference. thanks a lot VYN....

deadass, this fic didnt start out w me wanting to make each chapter a mini-analysis microcosm of issues of respective-nxx-polycule-member contrasted w giann's own worries and anxieties, but then it just started happening and i went w the flow. and im glad i did! it's a lot of fun :DDD

entry 5 ... a little about clothes

im take a break from talking abt the castle to speak some thoughts abt my personal fashion experiences on sl .. sparked by these 2 outfits i did the other day

since i spent a lot of time on sl, i dont really feel that extreme hunger and craving for new clothes anymore, because my closet has plenty and because i know what i like for sure now

i still buy things tho, i love fashion and dressing up my avatars, i especially love dressing up wafa.. its a less expensive version of playing with real life dolls.. i know what stores i like so i just follow them all on flickr and check out anything tht stands out to me ... anyways

i bought the top on the left and the outfit on the right in the same event .. theyre from diff creators..

this top is by MUSE, and its not originally this color.. i bought it in white

me getting a new piece of clothing lately is almost fully dependent on whether the item is modify or not, and MUSE always has their stuff w/ modify permissions

i think this is an afterthought for many people even long time SL players sometimes .. including myself earlier in my sl life

but overtime i realized i had a bunch of things i didnt feel like i could fit in various outfits or even various avatars.. making outfits was really annoying and depressing,......i started having revelations after spending a long time tinting + combining hairs (this is its own monster)

any modify clothing.. i can tint! and if i can set the texture to white and tint, then all the outfit parts can actually match, and i can use my own colors

its kind of rare for stores to have full mod clothes anymore .. a lot will offer modifiable versions in fatpack.. insomnia angel does it, and ill buy those if the singles arent mod.. yeah fatpack is so expensive seeming but its worth it to spend more on an item ill use for multiple avatars and multiple outfits, thn a bunch of tops tht only serve one purpose.. or could end up in the trenches of my digital closet collecting dust .. 1 item i can modift and color endlessly keep me happy way longer thn useless shirt

tinting hs become very sacred to me and important in making a new outfit .. and i guess by extension important if im shopping

its a very personal preference but there is something to think about when it comes to creators making clothes no mod .. some people dont want you tinting the stuff they made .. they think modify items are more at risk to be copybotted (it doesnt make a difference)

i feel a certain way when the permission isnt specified anywhere, or if theres no.. like "mod in fatpack!" like it turns me off to not be able to put my cute color on it, at least modify being fatack exclusive give me hope!

this can be advice, but is rlly my personal thoughts.. i think the fact tht i want my characters to feel flat on purpose, because they are flat.. contribute to this.. because i like the minimal texture achieved by tinting, its very subtle.. i tend to keep in mind to buy from places that i know have textures that are soft and can translate well into being tinted

now w this second outfit.. its from a store called V.C.LAB.. my first products from this store..and 2 be real maybe my last..

i subsided my preferences on mod clothing like i do everyonce in a while, cu i thought this look woud be really cute for wafa, i didnt buy a fatpack.. and the singles are.. like i mention.. no mod

the skirt i can probably use with other things and the shirt too, but i guess knowing myself i doubt it, this is a unique wafa outfit.. summer vibe for her.. which is fine.. its rare for me though to buy something like this .. supposedly, the fatpack is no mod either

something abt being tinted outfits all the time makes outfits like these stand out more on my characters, like a casual day out

i dont regret buying it.. but i use petite for matrieya, and the rigging for it (the version of the shirt for petite) is whack, idk if theyll ever fix it? it was a bad omen for me, i want to buy mod clothes forever..

part of me buying this no-mod fit tho is because a lot of mod clothes isnt very modest.. i love MUSE, but its all lingerie mostly.. its very revealing and not at all neutral, i love their clothes but sometimes i want something that cover up more(bold to say cuz even this outfit 'revealing' in a lot of standards, this is just some sl problem & its own conversation), when ur looking for tint only clothing u can run into problems often where u feel like ur getting too much of some clothing and there can be holes in ur wardrobe that take time to fill..

regardless ever since i have this mentality w shopping and stuff i feel a lot more peace with my avatar and my closet.. the edit menu is sacred.. and u will go a long way exploring all its posibilities.. unless u RLLY a diehard fan of baked on shadows

I've always been a rlly picky eater (textures my beloathed) plus I've been vegetarian for like 12 years so that limits my options even more and this used to be like a huge dramatic problem esp w my mom but as I've gotten older and can feed myself/buy my own food I've realized how it truly is not difficult to find food that I enjoy or accommodate other people who are really picky like it really is not that hard and everybody deserves to eat good filling food that they like and I think it's really fucked up that being a picky eater is like.... a genuine point of childhood trauma for people? like my mother used to say that if I didn't like dinner then breakfast was in the morning so I just would not eat. like she would make stuff she KNEW I didn't like just because I don't know she wanted it and didn't care if her child ate dinner or not? and that's just so insane to me like why wouldn't you want your child to be full and happy and healthy? you're responsible for them and their health and happiness and you'd just choose to only buy and make food that You enjoy knowing that they don't like it? just tell them "tough luck" if they don't like what's for dinner? to a literal child? who is in your complete control? who has no choice but to either put themselves through an uncomfortable and sensorally (is that a word??) upsetting experience or just not eat? I know this seems like maybe a bit of an overreaction but like just think about that for a second.... you're a grown adult who has chosen and promised to take care of a child to the best of your ability and you decide to be so selfish and cruel as to deny them food because you don't want to put in the minimum effort required to find them something they'll enjoy. food should not be a painful or frustrating or upsetting experience it should make you feel good and taken care of and nourished and to take that away from a child who is literally completely helpless and unable to provide or advocate for themself is so beyond fucked up. like my dad would always just ask what I wanted for dinner. like genuinely ask what I wanted and would make it for me and got things at the store that he knew I liked and even as I got older and was fully capable of making my own meals he'd still cook for me because he knew it was hard for me to preform that act of self care sometimes but still knew that I needed to eat and Wanted to take care of me. and like just because I wanted something doesn't mean he Also ate it because he could just make himself something else... with him I always had dinner when I was hungry and it was always what I wanted to eat because that's literally how it works for every adult person and he wanted to treat me like a human being with autonomy rather than someone just there for him to control. I don't know it's just so insane to me that you would deprive a child of good food because you want to be selfish and in control when the simple act of providing nourishment is so easy

Tommy stims by jumping nd flapping zir wings!!! He also loves pressure!! He has many a weighted blanket/stuffed animals!! He also has thise rlly soft stuffed animals that u stick in the microwave nd it warms up!! It reminds him of happy things..

He also stomps his feet to stim! He also owns alot of chewerly! With his fangs he kinda needs them!!

Ze also loves to flap zir arms, ze sticks out zir arms nd flaps them while straight out! Ze also stims by wagging zir tail! He loves motion nd is constantly moving!!

Ranboo:

Wiggling fluffs ears!!!!! Fluff only uses it when hes like. Over stimmulated nd aroud a lot of ppl tho hdibdsjbd.

Fluff LOVES weighted things!!! also textured things! He owns alot of textured tangles w the bumps!! Flufd gets them in gold colours :)

ALSO I BELIVE IN RANBOO WAGGING FLUFFS TAIL SUPREMACY!

Ranboo also has tommy lay on him! Pressure stim!! lay on ur friend!! :)

Ranboo also likes to wear gloves a lot !! but only the rlly soft ones!! also so it has no way to feel the seems.. It also wears the gloves so fluff dosent hurt himself cus it presses its hands together nd he has claws so! Its not fun nd fluff ends up hurting fluffself jshsjxisjd

Fundy:

Tail!!! wag!!! When!!! happy!! He also loves 2 press his ears against his head nd just. move them around!!! He also flapps his hands!! He balls his fist nd just kinda!! U know!!!!

Have lowkey decided yeah higher ups (INCLUDING! THE AUDITOR) know Sunni has defected

However!!! Morale tends to notibly rise in whatever base Sunni happens to be in so they let him chill

SUNNI however does not know this. Thinks hes still on the run so he is lowkey Very Stressed All The Time

Also once Sunni (after defecting) saw the Auditor once and nearly cried on the spot. He had no idea they were at that particular base and was very much so Scared Shitless

Have i talked abt Sunni's mag sliders? Bc theyre a Thing and Sunni is Very Proud of them

Sunni's grill is a lil janky bc hes done a Lotta tinkering w it but he loves that this. Also its sturdy as hell. Like a car you'd pass down to ur kids except its a Grill
