xingqiu: a writer who goes by zhenyu as his pen name. also a good friend of yours from school, but is closer to chongyun and their own friend group, so you don’t talk much anymore.

chongyun: an exorcist following his family’s trade. he was only pulled into the group by xingqiu, so, like xingqiu, he’s closer to their own friend group.

LITTLE SUCCESS STORY: HOW I ALMOST ENTERED THE VOID THROUGH A LUCID DREAM?

(Long ass post 💀)

Ok, so this happened two days ago.

On Thursday night, I took some melatonin gummies and a while later I fell asleep at midnight or 1:00am. When I woke up, it was about 4:00am.

I couldn’t really go back to sleep after that so I decided to stay up for a while and chill and listen to music.

And I believe 2 hours later, i started to feel really tired and I wanted to go back to sleep. So just for the vibes I decided to go on YouTube (yess, YouTube I was very surprised when I got no ads while listening 💀) and listen to music in my headphones while i was about to fall asleep.

(Specifically, James Joint by Rihanna and James Joint II by James Fauntleroy on a loop and it was slowed 🤭)

Then i started to get dreams while the music was still playing! But there weren’t lucid at first. (I remember I was in a dream where I had my headphones on and I was listening to the song that was playing and at one point I wanted the music to be off so I tried turning off my headphones and I was so confused when the music wouldn’t turn off and I realised I was dreaming and that’s when I woke up 😭)

It was such a vibe and so peaceful having dreams while you’re favourite song was playing! While the song is playing, you can really point out details of the song that you didn’t even know were there and it makes you wanna listen to it again and enjoy it more! But that’s just my opinion! 😙✨

After a few dreams, I had the one. The lucid one. This lucid dream was completely unintentional and very unexpected. In the dream, I was in my room, the lights were on and I had my laptop on my chest. I was going to rub my eyes when I saw that one of my hands were missing. I stared at my hand for a while and I remembered that if you look at your hands and something isn’t right with them, you’re in a dream. That was when my dream became lucid.

I decided to immediately use this to my advantage since I wanted to shift more than anything, so I decided to affirm to shift to my dr.

But as I was affirming for my dr, I started to change my mind. I remembered there were still things in there that I haven’t gotten completely figured out yet. (e.g how did I become famous, where do me and my friends live exactly, where do I work exactly, etc) I needed the void to help me, so that’s when I changed my affirmations and started to affirm for the void instead.

While I was affirming, my chest felt super heavy too. Maybe it was because of the laptop but it almost felt like I couldn’t breathe. And while I was affirming for the void, the laptop had a text on it that said “Change Affirmation?” And some other unimportant stuff that I don’t remember. I was like YESS I changed my affirmations, and 💀???

And maybe it was because I felt like I couldn’t breathe, but I just woke up and didn’t feel tired anymore so I couldn’t go back to sleep and get more dreams 🥲

Maybe if I didn’t change my mind about shifting and thought to affirm for the void first instead, I could’ve gotten closer 👀

But I know what to do now 😼

Also I know this can’t be a regular thing because this whole thing happened from 4:00am to 12:00pm or 1:00pm 💀 (btw I did have some bathroom breaks) I only did it this week on Thursday because it’s the holidays for me and it’s my week off college.

I go back to college next week so I probably won’t do this again until my next holiday.

Hi MT. I saw a leaked version of the trailer for the French spinoff a few days back—five minutes long—which is different to the one they showed last night and the one from which screenshots were previously leaked.

1. In the one I saw, Isabelle and Laurent’s backstory is shown. Her sister is bitten (the female walker in the collage posted by various accs on Twitter) and dies after/during Laurent’s birth. The implication is that he is immune as a result, and thus he is the hope for all humankind. Lifted directly and blatantly and embarrassingly from TLOU.

2. Shipbaiting was unspectacular. There was brief clip from the bath scene and then a conversation at the fireside in which Daryl agrees to escort Little Buddha Laurent to wherever he needs to go in exchange for returning to where he landed in France.

3. The primary emphasis in the version I saw was on Daryl’s relationship with Laurent. Lots of shots of the two of them, alone or with Isabelle and their other companions in the background.

4. There was Edith Piaf, and I laughed and laughed.

5. The version shown at SDCC was an objectively less embarrassing trailer, so well done to whoever made that choice. But Daryl is, in both versions, inescapably NOT the Daryl we know and love.

I’m sharing this because the same people who shared tired, repetitive trailer spoilers multiple times on Twitter are again claiming to have secret knowledge despite admitting they didn’t see the longer trailer containing these shots 💀 And for the three people who haven’t yet realised those tweeters are full of shit, I am here to tell you that they are.

Thank you for sharing. You’re right, it’s a blatant ripoff of TLOU and like @rubberchickeny said, it doesn’t work without a character connection we’re deeply invested in. Edith Piaf was used in big films like Inception and Mission Impossible, so it seems the spinoff is thinking a little too highly of itself 🙄

The friends I talked to who were in Hall H said the bath scene was horrifically OOC and both Caryl and Daryl stans will probably hate it. There may be context we’re missing or parallels to come, but I still find it offensive they’re giving away explicit beats Caryl fans have wanted *for years* to unknown characters while the Caryl beats are only through suggestion. I know how to read subtext, but it’s not enough anymore. They cannot pull off a bait and switch without the audience’s trust. Someone dropping SDCC 22 photos and Norman liking caryl fanart is not reassuring, it just adds insult to injury. “We’re going to make Melissa our dirty secret for a while longer, we’re going to keep a title that makes her character seem less important, we’re going to gaslight her fans with shipbaiting, but here’s a photo of her from a year ago. See how much we care? So please stop complaining and watch our shows?” 😑 It doesn’t bode well for Carol’s appearance in 106 if they think they don’t need it to have any substance at all.

AMC should be prioritizing their target audience’s needs (the one that’s crucial for the show’s longevity), not subjecting them and Melissa herself to more online bullying.

Yes! Enchanted Ink is being published as original fiction soon, but fear not! I am my own archive, and fics will always be available to anyone who wants them, I promise. For right now, I have every fic in all of their various downloadable forms available in my discord (and many are still on ao3, ofc), and they will stay there.

The discord started as a community and way to safely distribute the links to my typeset fics, and those are all there as well—I currently have 12 different stories available in print PLUS the original Fire & Ice, and this is relevant because soon, Enchanted Ink will be up as well. I am rewriting and expanding it, which is why I took the short version down, though it’s on my discord in its original form. The discord will be getting free access to the expanded Destiel version of Enchanted Ink in ebook form as well as the option to grab the print Destiel version (with gio’s art on the cover) before the original drops. There will also likely be tattoo-related merch :-D

I don’t ever want to prevent people from reading my original fics, but I would prefer the removed ones (currently just Enchanted Ink and Fire & Ice) to be distributed through me, especially because I’m rewriting them and the old versions aren’t the best ones.

Down the road I will definitely be willing to DM/distribute any/all for free, but I’m disabled and struggling to make ends meet right now, and I need to help my book launches be successful! I’m self-published and working really hard to try and create a bit of an income stream. I am still actively publishing new fanfics, and I really want to—this will allow me to continue doing so! There’s no obligation to stay in the Ko-fi/discord, either. You can grab your stuff and cancel right away, if you like. This is pretty much the smallest gate I could make.
