Dewormer pills successfully administered to both cats!

Ch. 2 of A Helping Paw
Obsessive! Werewolf/Weredog 141(+extra) x Chubby! OC Freya
Meeting Nikolai (or, Dadbod Nikolai Truther)
Masterlist
"Hello?" Freya called as she opened the door, the little bell ringing above her also announcing her entrance. She walked to the desk, taking in the shop. There were multiple different types of jerked meat lined on a shelf by the register, as well as a few spices and some specific meat related cookware.
Soap had been left in the car much to his displeasure, because despite how well-behaved he was he was still just a dog, and he wasn't her dog, and this was a butcher shop. It only took a few more moments for someone to appear from behind a door, dark leather apron tied around his thick body with some splatters of blood.
He's got dark brown eyes and slicked back, black hair. Massive, thick arms covered in long black hair, and he's much taller than her. "Hello, what can I do for you?" He asked, thick accent pleasantly surprising, something Russian maybe.
"Hi, I'm Freya!" She introduced herself, "I'm currently looking after a dog that wondered onto my porch until his owner can pick him back up, but I don't know how long they'll be and I don't have anything to feed him. I tried to buy some kibble but he refused to eat any of it."
The man nodded, introduced himself as Nikolai. Before he could say something, his eyes dart to the door and he cocked one eyebrow, amused. "Is that your dog?"
Freya turned around in confusion, only to see Soap sitting at the front door and pawing at it with a needy little whine. She gaped at him, utterly surprised- how the fuck did he get out of the car?!
"I- I'm so, so sorry about him!" She stuttered nervously, apologetically.
Nikolai chuckled, deep and rich as he came out from behind the counter and let Soap in, who happily trotted up to her and nuzzled against her leg, looking up at her with a lopsided grin, rather pleased with himself.
"Don't worry zaika, Soap is welcome in my shop anytime," He chuckled, briefly petting Soap before disappearing behind a door again.
Freya quickly rushed outside to close her door, Soap had left it open in his little escape- which was honestly just ridiculous, the door was locked, for fuck sake! How does a dog know to unlock the door before he can open it? She literally turned her back for a minute! Either he's done that a hundred times before or he's some sort of human or demon in a dog's fur.
Checking the inside handle, she didn't even find a single claw or tooth mark on the door, which meant it couldn't have possibly been by trial and error, the dog must have known exactly what he was doing when he opened her door.. just who was he, anyways?
She pouted down at him, upset the he managed to escape the car and chose to do so. "You were supposed to stay put, Soap! You're a very mischievous boy, aren't you?" She chided, clicking her tongue when he only looked up at her with his bright blue eyes, large tongue lolled to the side and pressed against her thigh, letting his saliva get all over her leg. He was looking up at her with pure adoration, unblinking as he held rather intense eye-contact.
Thankfully, Nikolai came back out of the shop, carrying a heavy-looking cooler over in one hand, "This is Soap's food for the week. I know his owner, he comes by once a week to pick up food. It is already paid for, don't worry," He told her, helping her get the box settled in her trunk.
"Oh, that's great, you know his owner? I'm actually only here for like four more days," She told him, carding her fingers through Soap's fur when he let out a low whine, pressing himself into her legs.
"I see. Yes I know him, he is on deployment currently and Soap was supposed to be with a sitter," Nikolai chuckled, "But he is very picky with who he likes. Probably escaped right out the front door, and then found you."
"Oh, ok," Her fingers paused in his fur, before continuing, "Um, do you know if he'll be back before I leave? If not would it be ok if I left him with you when I leave?" She asked. The reasonable thing here would be to leave the dog with him instead and go about her life, and then toss all the things she bought into a closet and let it sit there for years until she eventually came back.
But no, she wasn't really making reasonable choices today, was she? Maybe she just felt a little lonely, and really who could judge her for that?
"Of course, but I think he would much rather be with you. He likes you a lot, he rarely behaves this well," He told her, smiling when Soap huffs like he knows they're talking about him.
Nikolai gave her his phone number, that way she could call if she had any problems or she was ready to leave but he wasn't at the shop.
Then he called Soap into his shop, told her that he usually let the pup pick out one thing to take with him and that it was free for her, and it'll only take a second so no need to come with.
Freya doesn't question it, because what was the point really? So she sat in her father's old car and waited, fingers tapping against the steering wheel along with the beat of the song playing through the bluetooth.
Not that much longer, and Soap comes trotting out of the door with a thick bone, happily hopping over her when she opened the door and settling into the passenger seat.
It's straight back home after that, and if she struggles for more than five minutes to drag the cooler across the ground and up her porch, then hauling the raw mean up into her freezer? Well that's between her and the dog.
After taking a break, and feeling embarrassingly tired after that, she filled his water bowl and took out the already portioned, individually packaged frozen raw meat that was Soap's meal. She cut it up into more easily swallowed pieces, then scraped it off the cutting board into his new stainless steel bowl.
"Can you sit?" She asked, and praised him when he obeyed, setting the bowl down in a corner and backing off to give him space.
Even though he'd proven to be very friendly, some dogs didn't like to be hovered over when eating and she didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable. She watched him for a few moments, before being reminded that she hadn't eaten anything but snacks and hot chocolate since she woke up with a loud growl from her stomach.
Soap's head perked up in surprise, blinking at her as he licked his chops from the juices. "Sorry about that bud, I'm just hungry is all. Didn't mean to startle you," She told him apologetically, before turning towards her fridge to make something for herself.
By the time she's finished fixing her food, Soap is done eating and joins her on the couch, half-curled on her lap as she ate. He didn't bother begging for her food, or even looking at or sniffing at the bowl that she eventually had to rest on top of him as he insisted on being as physically close as possible, the only reason he wasn't fully curled on her lap due to the fact that he was too massive to fit, so he settled for his top half only.
After she's done eating they just sit on the couch like that, his muzzle pressed against her soft stomach, half curled in her lap, her fingers carding through his fur idly. It's really nice, actually, and she felt a little pang of something that could only be described as bittersweet.
This was nice, relaxing, and Soap was good company. Great company, even. But this is really the first time she's felt fully relaxed since they went on vacation, the first time she didn't have this nagging feeling in the back of her mind that she was wasting her boyfriend's very limited vacation days at work. Her first time back at her family home since the accident, and her memories of home had already been tainted, marred and twisted into something that grossly resembled the self-hate she felt after her parents had died.
That was a sobering but depressing thought. Really, Freya thought she had dealt with those feelings a while ago, but old habits died hard.
"D'ya wanna go for a walk, Soap? Wanna go outside?" She asked him suddenly, and his head popped up off her lap, ears perked. "Yeah? Go outside? Go on a hike?" She asked with a smile as she stood up, to which the dog let out a little 'boof', tail wagging as he hopped off the couch.
She put in more sensible shoes for a hike, a pair of ankle high burgundy boots, and held the new leash in her hand just in case. And Soap was right by her side as she left her home, blue water bottle in hand as they walked towards the forest down a familiar well-loved but slightly overgrown path.
Soap only strayed a little bit, staying relatively close and generally in her sight as he trotted up the path ahead of her, occasionally dipping into the tree line to explore or sniff something out, and stopping to mark multiple different trees in the first thirty minutes.
The dog made a much better hiking companion than her boyfriend, and certainly didn't attempt to rush her to get somewhere or to complete the hike as fast as possible. Instead, they wondered the forest together, enjoying the outdoors and nature and taking their time while they did, enjoying themselves.
Soap was out ahead of her by a few feet, about to walk around a bend in the path when his head shot up and he froze, body going stiff as his muzzle clicked shut from the relaxed, easy-going pant he had been doing. Seeing this, she tensed up as well, but soon she heard the idle chatter of other people and somewhat relaxed.
"Soap, come here," Freya called softly, and he looked back at her, hard posture relaxing slightly as well. She held out her hand as a bribery for pets, and that got his big paws moving as he turned and trotted up to her, nuzzling into her palm. She clipped the leash onto his collar then moved them off to the side, slowly walking forward so they wouldn't cross paths with the other group on the bend.
Two men walked around the corner, greeting her with friendly enough words. "Beautiful dog you have," The blonde one said, reaching out to pet him.
Soap, in turn, snarled like a cornered beast, hackles raised, ears pinned, large deadly canines on full display. "Soap!" She gasped out, surprised, and grabbed his collar like she'd actually be able to hold him back if he lunged.
"Ah- shit!" The man cursed, stumbling back over his own two feet as he yanked his arm away from snapping teeth, falling back on his ass. The other man, a brunette, backed away nervously.
"I'm sorry!" She apologized earnestly, tugging Soap by the collar to the side, to which he yielded to the pressure and stopped showing teeth, but still glared at the prone man. Regardless of how much she tried to nudge the massive dog to the side with her thigh and substantial weight, he refused to let her get in front of him- between the strange men and himself. "H-hes not mine actually, I- I guess he's not very found of men," She offered with an sheepish smile.
"You aught to put a leash on that mutt!" The blonde man hissed out as he clumsily got to his feet, spitting out curses.
"I'm really sorry, honestly," She said again, taking a few steps back, "He was very friendly and well behaved when we went into town earlier, I've only just met him today."
"You're dog could have bit me, you bitch!" He yelled, taking a step forward but was quickly deterred by Soap's snarling again.
"C'mon man, leave it be," The brunette set a placating hand on the man's shoulder.
Freya frowned. Now this guy was just being an asshole, and she was done being nice. "No one told you you could pet him, actually. You shouldn't go around petting strange dogs anyways, they could be aggressive or in pain and lash out. At a minimum you should at least ask their owner first, and as I said before I just met this dog not even four hours ago."
The blonde bristled at that, face turning red from anger and embarrassment, "Fuck you slut!"
She just rolled her eyes and let go of Soap's collar, turning on her heel to walk away. He gave one last low growl, before turning to follow her around the corner and soak up her praise.
"Good boy, goood booy," She cooed, petting the fur on the side of his neck as he pressed into her, causing her to stumble slightly and walk crooked. She let out a giggle, then bent down to pet him more, ruffling up the fur on his puffed out chest.
"Were you such a good boy? Scaring away those nasty men?" She asked in a high pitched voice, pointedly loud enough for said retreating men to hear.
Soap flopped onto his side, then rolled over on his back, large tongue lolling to the side as he tail wagged in the dirt happily, and she rubbed at his exposed stomach, scritching at all the good spots that made his leg jerk and kick at the air.
Usually when on a hike, Freya tried to keep her head down when she was alone, and not interact much with strangers aside from a cursory acknowledgment and maybe saying 'hi' if they spoke to her. But hiking, and also being with Soap, had made her feel safe.
His initial reaction had startled her, but after the man had freaked out and called her names for no reason despite her apologizing and attempting to explain, especially after he called her a slut completely unprompted, she felt Soap's response was justified. Animals could often sense things like that, that humans couldn't as easily pick up on, things like a person's character and intent. So she really didn't feel bad that Soap snapped at the man, all things considered, but she would have to look into that a bit.
While that man had been a pos, Soap could also just be reactive to men he didn't know in general. Nikolai didn't count since they knew each other, and the man often gave him tasty snacks, and the worker at the pet shop was a girl, and no one had approached them in town or asked to pet surprisingly enough.
She didn't have any service out here in the woods, so she told herself that she'd call or text Nikolai when she got back home and ask. The rest of the walk, they don't so much as hear another living thing and Soap is perfectly behaved the entire time.
Its two hours later when she gets back, walking into the clearing on the other side of her house. All of the trails and paths near her house were circular, always leading back into the main path and therefore back to the house, courtesy of her grandfather and father and presumably her great-grandfather as well.
The circular nature of all the trails in her 'backyard' made getting lost in the woods much harder as long as she stuck to the path, but she also knew her way around this place in a multiple mile radius around her house.
If she went too far in any one direction she'd end up in only four different places. The massive farm behind her house that stretched from end to end, the main road/highway that leads out of the town on the left, the sheer edge of a cliff too tall to even think about climbing to the right, or she'd end up right in town.
The first time she had walked all the way to town was during a nice summer just like this one, and she had gotten distracted by a rabbit like she was a Disney princess or Alice in wonderland.
She had simply panicked as she was only 10 at the time, and stood there at the edge of the forest as she burst into tears. It wasn't until a nice older women who's son worked with her father, with her dark olive skin and kind wrinkles around her laugh line spotted her, found her and held her until she stopped crying, then called her father and laughed about how she was really a little forest girl.
Despite how terrified she was in the moment, now she looked back on that memory with fondness. It was a little silly in hindsight, she had known long before that day where she'd end up if she wandered off in any direction, and which direction to turn to get back home, but had panicked because she hadn't meant to go that far. And in the following weeks, her father had walked with her in each direction to show her that it really wasn't that scary, and that she could get home just fine.
The memories were slightly bittersweet, however, because she probably wouldn't be able to make that same journey on purpose even with preparation now. She had gained so much weight since she left home, and guilt still ate at her for the fact that she had let herself gain pound after pound during her years of grief and depression after losing her closest family.
She still wasn't entirely sure how to cope, with that loss of who she was and who she could have been, but either way she was still going.
Absently, she touched the tattoo on her upper left arm, the one in memory of her parents. Soap, who was sitting next to her on the couch, sniffed at the ink on her arm then licked at her face, lapping up the salty tears she hadn't even realized were there.
Freya let out a shaky breath, small smile on her face as he continued. She sneaked in a quick kiss to the side of his muzzle, "Thank you pup. You've been a really big help, you know?" She hugged around his fluffy neck, and Soap settled his big head over her shoulder, flicking his tongue over her spine as his tail thumped against the couch.
"Okay," She sighed out, standing up, "Time for bed, yeah?" She was honestly exhausted after that long hike, it had been more exercise than she'd gotten in the past month, and she really wasn't used to it much anymore.
When she went to close the bathroom door, Soap bullied his way in with his muzzle. She tried for maybe all of ten seconds to get him to leave, but quickly gave up because she was sleepy and wanted to shower and go to bed quickly. So she let the dog watch as she stripped and got under the scalding hot water and washed away the day.
After showering she threw on and oversized long sleeve sweater and nothing else, then curled up on the bed she had been sleeping in for the past week and a half, and Soap promptly hopped up on the bed and joined her under the covers. Which wasn't surprising, he had proven himself to be a massive cuddlebug already, so she hugged him close to her body and they fell asleep like that.

Yesterday I attended a little seminar about WCRL rally and it looks fun. They are trying to bring it to Arizona, for anyone even remotely in the area looking for alternatives to AKC rally. We've also got ASCA in the state as well, which is another alternative to AKC. They accept all breeds in their sport programs.
Anyway, the differences were interesting, but I overall liked the changes. I think it does a better job preparing you AND bridging for something like obedience than AKC. You are docked points for additional commands, BUT they will give you the opportunity to pet/feed at stationary signs. Praise is unlimited. There is a SCT. Also, no choke chains. (I don't see why they are even allowed in AKC if prongs and stuff are not. Probably because that's what conformation dogs show on. Don't want flat collars damaging those precious coats.) I'm not going to give a detailed summary, since that's easy enough to find. Actually, I'll just link a webinar that was done prior to the seminar. The person spearheading this is an AKC and WCRL judge, so better to just hear it from her.
Now for the Mud summary. He actually laid down for SEVERAL MINUTES MULTIPLE TIMES on our drive down. It was about 1.25 hrs for the drive, so longer than a lot of what he's been doing lately (usually like 30 minutes.)
He was grumbly and nasty about dogs being near him in the crate at the beginning, even when he was covered. (I guess he was bothered that he could hear them.) He settled while we did the long talking part because I was sitting there. I took him out after the talk, that was a short break. Then I had to put him up again because it was time to look at the course. I had brought a hide roll for him to chew and he was not interested. I'm like "Wow, glad I now know that you are that stressed about being in a crate." He barked on highest volume. I ended up uncovering him so he could see me and there was less barking.
Then we got to run and overall he did well at that! They scored us for kicks and he got a 210/200 (bonus points are a thing) on the "regular" course and had some points docked on the Flash course. I would say he wasn't overly stressed while performing. He was intrigued by the mirrored wall on one side, but that was about the only distraction he had to deal with. I used one station to pet.
He was quiet in his crate for the remainder of the date. He didn't lay down as much on the way home. I think part of that was the sun in the car. He refused a piece of apple while we were driving. So that's good to note that he's too stressed to eat low value food in the car. :))))
GI has been normal so far, except he was demanding food a lot after we got home (he's hangry after stress.) So hopefully THAT will be fine. What this did show me was a level of stress he has in both the crate and the car. He'll eat kibble in the crate happily. No appetite for the chew. No appetite for apple while driving. So I'm not sure he's ready to go back to trials on a regular basis. Little meet ups and classes are probably just what he needs to build back up to trials.
I say that but I really would like to squeeze out his AKC agility titles soon, and by soon, I'm talking January, so we probably need to do some NADAC trials that are 1.5 hrs away to get back into the swing of things and see if that's even worth throwing money at. We'll see what happens.

Obey Me characters and their assigned dogs!
Okay, guys, I have a cool idea! What if like as an assignment, Diavolo decided to give everyone a dog from the human world to see how well dogs from the human world could get with demons and the students were allowed to choose which dog breed they'd want it to be. The assignment was to be for a few months long.
Here are my thoughts on which dog breeds they had been assigned and how well they raised them.
~•~☆~•~
Lucifer-Doberman
At first, he wanted to just use Cerberus as his dog, but it had to be a dog breed from the human world.
Obviously, he chose a big and very intimidating dog.
He received a male dog and named him Damien.
Lucifer already knew the basics of raising a dog since he is the owner of Cerberus and all.
Within the first month, Lucifer began training Damien.
By the end of that month, Damien was probably the best guard dog in the entire Devildom.
Despite being a big and scary dog, Damien was actually a big sweetheart!
He'd always follows Lucifer around and get sad when his owner wasn't around. He especially loves doing tricks for treats.
Damien is only aggressive he senses harm coming towards him or Lucifer or when he is ordered to attack.
By attack, he just chases the brothers whenever they make Lucifer mad.
When the assignment was over and the dogs were to be brought back to the human world, Lucifer immediately locked himself in his room and cranked that record player volume to 100 all while claiming he wasn't sad.
Mammon-Italian Greyhound
Tried to sell the dog not even one days after getting it
Mammon didn't know crap about human world dog breeds so he just picked a random breed not knowing anything about it. His immediate thought was 'is this a rat?'
Mammon had received a female dog and named her Jade after Lucifer caught him trying to sell her.
At first, he wanted nothing to do with Jade until out of literally nowhere she had brought him a couple of Grimm.
Suddenly he was very interested after realizing Jade had a strange habit of finding and digging up valuables. From Grimm and small jewelry to literally buried artifacts.
Nobody knows how she does it and it's concerning that they had put her in Mammon's care.
Mammon immediately started to teach Jade how to do cute tricks to random people for treats and such.
Jade was also a very energetic dog always running around and barking at almost everyone except Mammon, MC, and MC's assigned dog.
Jade loves playing with the other dogs even if it's clear that they don't want to play.
Mammon was absolutely sobbing when Jade had to go back to the human world and absolutely didn't want to let her go.
He wasn't okay for a very long time after that.
Leviathan-Newfoundland
Just like Mammon, Leviathan didn't want to do anything with a dog until he realized some dogs were specialized in swimming.
Him being very associated with the ocean was suddenly interested when he heard about the breed Newfoundland. He thought the name sounded cool and picked that in.
Probably should have done more research because he didn't realize how huge this breed was.
He received a female dog and named her Henry 4.0
Leviathan didn't know anything about dogs and boy was it so hard for him at first.
Probably had to learn by watching animes, reading mangas, and playing games about dogs NINTENDOGS.
Actually got pretty used to having a dog really quickly and enjoyed it too.
Henry 4.0 was a really chill girl and likes sleeping on top of Leviathan. Just casually crushing the boy y' know.
She really likes laying with him while he's watching anime and playing his video games.
Their favorite activities to do are taking baths, going out to swim in the nearby river, and cosplay!
Yes, you heard that right! Cosplaying is a thing they did quite often and they always dressed up as duo characters. Of course Leviathan made the cosplays from scratch.
One good thing that this assignment did was getting Leviathan out of his room for when he would take Henry 4.0 out for walks.
Whenever Leviathan got sad he'd just hug Henry 4.0 and put his head into her fur. Henry 4.0 became kind of like an emotional support animal for him.
Leviathan absolutely refused to let them take Henry 4.0 away when the assignment was over. He even tried to hide her and threatened to summon Lotan again (which he did end up doing!)
Was very much not okay after the assignment was over.
Satan-Basenji
Satan is clearly the most educated on human world dog breeds and even though he very much prefers cats over dogs, he always did like the Basenji breed.
They are known as the 'barkless' dog and even have a somewhat reputation for acting like cats.
Satan had received a male dog and named him Benjamin.
Once the assignment began he quickly began to read books about dogs.
Satan actually surprisingly liked Benjamin rather quickly despite not liking dogs all that much.
They mostly just sat down together in the library while Satan read books and Benjamin would nap.
Benjamin was a pretty active dog and liked to play with the other dogs every now and then.
But just like Satan, he got mad a lot. Whenever someone got into his personal space while he was tired he wouldn't bark at them, but he had a pretty spooky growl.
Other than that Benjamin is actually really chill.
Satan also taught Benjamin a few tricks which may or may not be targeted at Lucifer and his assigned dog, Damien.
The number of times Benjamin was seen running away from Damien and/or Lucifer with Lucifer's paperwork in his mouth was pretty impressive.
One surprise was that Benjamin and Damien got super well with each ther much to Lucifer and Satan's dismay.
Besides the antagonizing Lucifer tricks, Benjamin didn't really know any tricks other than to sit and fetch.
Just like the other brothers he was truly sad to see Benjamin go and had one last trick to play on Lucifer before the assignment ended.
Asmodeus-Samoyed
A lot of people were expecting Asmodeus to get a small dog, but he really said no❤
He already knew about all the most beautiful dog breeds from the human world and the Samoyed was absolutely elegant.
He had received a female dog and named her Opal.
He already followed a few dog pages on the internet so he had a few basics down.
You already know he's one of those absolutely extra dog owners and honestly good for both him and Opal.
He loves taking her baths and always makes sure the dog products he uses are the absolute best.
Asmodeus even bought her a gemstone collar and I'm not talking about those leather collars with those flat little slabs, I'm talking about these kinds of collars
Yes, he's that extra and no he's not ashamed.
Opal had to be the most spoiled dog in the Devildom by the end of it.
She didn't like to play all that much unless it was with Asmodeus or MC. Pretty people only.
She almost never growled ever and she would have to be really pissed if she ever did. For example, when Mammon accidentally spilled some wet dog food on her fur, she never forgave him.
As you already know, Opal got the best kind of food a dog could eat. Asmodeus being one for best self-care, he didn't want his beloved Opal eating low-grade kibble. Only the best for his little girl.
You already KNOW he dresses her up and takes her out to the club. Loves showing her off to the fans. Likes dragging MC and their assigned dog along with them just to have fun.
Do not ever pet Opal unless you have clear permission from both her and Asmodeus and also clean your hands first. Opal's fur is too delicate and beautiful to get ruined.
Whenever Asmodeus gets drunk he always hugs Opal and cries into her fluff which she doesn't mind.
Asmodeus wouldn't stop posting pictures of him and Opal on social media and even after the assignment ended he still posted older pictures of her.
Couldn't hold back the tears after Opal went back to the human world after the assignment was over. He took her on one last spa day before the day the assignment was over and gave her the best meal.
Was crying on Devilgram Live later that day.
Beelzebub-Saint Bernard
A pretty obvious one. Just like Mammon, he knew nothing about human world dog breeds and chose a Saint Bernard because Satan suggested it.
Satan purposely suggested a big dog because if it were a small one, Beel would have eaten it.
He received a female dog and named her Biscuit. The alternatives were Big Mac and Burger, but Lucifer didn't allow it.
Ome thing these two had in common was a large appetite. Beel quickly got attached to Biscuit mostly because of that.
Beel has to be supervised while feeding Biscuit her dog food cause sometimes he'll try to eat some of her food.
Biscuit loves cuddles and is a big softie just like Beel. Though she seemed to be more of a dog for Belphie since she was always tired and sleeping.
Beel never minded though and always enjoyed walking into a room and seeing Biscuit laying with Belphie and Belphie's assigned dog.
Biscuit gets along with literally everyone including the other dogs. She always lets them do whatever just as long as they aren't harming anyone.
If you do harm her owner or his family she'll go from 0 to 101 in a second. Saint Bernards actually have a very powerful bite so it's best not to piss her off.
But out of her entire time in the Devildom with the brothers, MC, and the other assigned dogs she only really actually bit someone once and it was in self-defense.
Of this assignment had taken place during the whole Belphie attic incident, Biscuit would have been a huge emotional support animal to Beel.
If it didn't take place during that time then Beel would have loved her the same way.
Whenever he would try and work out, Biscuit would always lay on him and get in the way. She's too precious.
The only workout she wouldn't interrupt with cuteness is morning walks/runs.
One problem however is how much Beel would forget to brush her and she'd leave fur absolutely everywhere.
When the assignment was over he felt like he lost a part of himself.
He woke up the morning after looking for Biscuit to take her for their morning run and remembered that the assignment was over.
Still has her collar and leash.
Sad lad hours
Belphegor-Basset Hound
Belphie definitely was one of the brothers who didn't want to do anything with dogs and in fact, he didn't even choose a dog breed so they gave him a random one for the assignment.
Clearly whoever chose the breed for him knew their breeds well because Basset Hounds are some sleepy dogs.
He received a female dog and named her Floppy. Very creative I know.
To be honest, Belphie would be the most irresponsible of the brothers when it comes to raising a dog.
Usually, he had to be reminded a lot to care for this damn dog. Whether it's be reminded to feed her or take her on walks, he's just really lazy.
At first, he didn't like Floppy at all and thought she was ugly until Beel pointed out how much they sleep together.
It was true how much they slept together, wherever Belphie was sleeping, Floppy was either on top of him or next to him.
That's when Belphie actually began to care about her and trying to take better care of her.
He'd forget a lot of the times to do things, but he was trying.
Floppy didn't know any tricks or even bother to learn any. She didn't beg for food or play with the other dogs. She never growled or barked at all either.
Someone would literally be getting stabbed in front of her and she'd yawn.
Even though Floppy never liked getting along with the other dogs, she did like to nap with Beel's assigned dog, Biscuit.
Nobody else though. Not even MC or their assigned dog.
Floppy hated going on walks and any other activity that included having to put any effort into it.
She'd just let Belphie drag her across the ground by the leash.
Belphie was the least sad when the assignment was over. He does really miss Floppy, but he knew he wasn't the best dog owner and she deserves better.
He just wishes her well and hopes she finds a better family. Oh god, he's crying now-

tl;dr: The brothers get dogs, get attached, then get really sad once the dogs are gone.
Oh lord, this took so much longer to make than I expected. Online classes haven't been nice to me. I was going to make some art for this, but this already took way longer than I expected so I'll probably save that for another time!
If anyone of you wants you can add to this by saying what your MC's assigned dog is! Anyways hope you all have a good day and maybe I'll even make a part 2 for the Undateables! ;)
