Woooooo this is a tough one. So I do this thing where if a ship has enough canon content, I won't likely end up making art or ideas about it, no matter if it's actually "canon". See: BruDick. BruJay also falls under that umbrella for me bc honestly their canon relationship is such a fucking NIGHTMARE of a relationship that there's not much for me to play with. It's kinda perfect as is. Nimue appeared briefly in chapter 2 but I'm going to include her here anywhere. So, as you may know, she's Merlin's daughter - and only child - as well as his apprentice. Her mother is a High Priest in Avalon, and Nimue herself will admit to missing Avalon terribly - yet she chose to become Merlin's apprentice. She keeps a curious eye on Mordred (watching their career with interest so to say 👀).

She loves long walks in the woods, loves to be by water and enjoys swimming. She's a good cook. Out of everyone in Camelot she's closest with Gawain. She's very fond of cats (I may actually give her a kitty in game). She has a beautiful singing voice, and often hums to herself while working.

She hates the cold. She's always bundled up in winter. Her favorite colors are those shades ranging from green-blue. She loves reading, and Gawain is all too happy to provide her with suggestions. She keeps a lot to herself. Has a penchant for eavesdropping 👀 and generally at parties you can find her roaming the room, observing people. She's a very skilled sorcerer, and also an adept of the Lady of the Lake. Her outfits consist a lot of stays over chemises with petticoats and overskirts, kirtles over chemises. And belts with pockets to carry stuff.

Elaine is the youngest child of the Astolat Ducal family. Has always been very sporty/outdoorsy and would spend hours playing outside and watching the knights play. She befriended a dragon, Felix, around her age, bonding over their shared love for flying, sports and nature, and they'd often joked about becoming knights. She's a light weight when it comes to alcohol. She loves showing off her muscles. Has always been intrigued by dragons' culture and history.

About Sophie, I actually did some changes to her backstory! Interesting ones. She had a brother before too - tho he was younger. Now it's her twin brother, Magnus! He's still the one preferred for the throne, despite her being first born by a couple minutes. The Council of Nobles (who are the ones actually in power, behind the scenes) in her kingdom don't want her as Monarch because she's actually really interested in taking an active role in leading, uncovering their corruption and making all sorts of changes - including perhaps an attempt at democracy 👀

She loves dogs - and got a dog of her own when she moved to Camelot to become a knight. Elaine uses she/her (doesn't bother her/doesn't really care) but she's not comfortable being considered a woman - or a man. Loves bread and pastry. It's just so good. Wears pants with tunics/shirts/jerkins/doublets in either soft, pastel colors (like violet, blue, yellow, mint) or simple browns. Goes for comfy, cozy, practical clothes but does like to dress up in elaborately embroidered doublets and shirts for special events.

She's always been very studious and diligent, becoming intrigued by different topics and subjects. Has random knowledge on all sorts of things as a result. She can wield a dagger well enough. She loves wearing flowing dresses in all sorts of pastel and soft colors - her favorite color in pink. She loves flowers and plants. Has a sweet tooth. She also draws very beautifully.

Agravain is a fellow knight who joins the Round Table after Mordred. They're the bastard of some Camelotian noble, whose mother is a servant at his castle. Their father has always resented them and they've been badly treated by him, his wife, and their oldest child. Agravain actually looks up a lot to Morgana - and wishes to befriend Mordred. They feel they have a lot in common, that they're kindred spirits - very much "us against the world". Mordred's relationships with them will have a big impact on Agravain.

They're sweet and earnest, and sort of bashful, though they can get very snappish and irritable and angry in certain situations. They get easily jealous (not just in romantic relationships, but friendships too). They're afraid Mordred - or anyone else they become close to - might abandon them. Has worked very hard to become a Knight of the Round Table. They have a passion for sewing and love designing and making their own clothes. Thinks cloaks are very cool.

Isac is a sorcerer, and son of the so called Rebel Queen. The bloodline of sorcerer he's a part of originates from the Deer King himself, and their affinity is for plant manipulation. Which you bet comes in handy for robbing people on highways that go through the forest, and protecting their castle which is also found within the woods. He's very easy going and a shameless flirt who will shoot his shot with Mordred - but backs down the moment you refuse/aren't interested in his flirting. He loves deep, lush colors, low v-neck shirts, wearing lots of rings and walks in the deep parts of the woods. His favorite hanging spots are some abandoned Deer King Temples. Has a streak for mischief. His childhood best friend is a dragon. There's one cousin close to him in age that he's also closest to, whom he loves to (affectionately) annoy.

As like a disclaimer in my dreams I’m usually playing a character. When I say “I” I’m talking abt the character whose body I was shoved into and am acting as.

I had a dream there was a series of tunnels under my house that lead into a larger series of tunnels w scary shadow monsters. Think like a standard fantasy dungeon tbh. Luckily they could be easily blinded by light and I seemed to have developed the ability to just. Flashbang them w magic

However while investigating w my uncle and using the new magic there was a mysterious knight who always showed back up near the door to the tunnel to my house. My uncle was always weary of him but he never made moves to attack he always just spoke to me in weird riddles I would write down and try to answer

One sentence apparently was apparently a reference to an old Japanese myth of a princess whose guard fell in love with her and used time travel at some point??? Idk but I took away from that that he’s referencing time travel specifically as it’s cited as one of the first human stories to use time travel. Against my family’s warnings I went down to meet the knight alone one night and asked if he knew me and said I knew the last riddle he told me was a reference to that specific myth and he smiled under his helmet and said he wanted to tell me abt it in detail and again, probably stupidly, I followed him around the twisting corridors of the every changing dungeon to get to a door that was supposedly his.

It was a seemingly normal room but he took off his helmet and he had long dark hair and he said ‘we were lovers in a past life. I used magic and time travel to undo your death, as well as send you to another world. I was content to never see you again if it meant you’re safe but it seems like fate had other plans. The universe itself is conspiring to connect you back to our works through this dungeon. And I don’t want to lose you again.”

And fsr I could tell he was telling the truth. I had all the typical romantic tropes of a fast heartbeat and draw towards this guy I could explain. So we kissed. And he promised to tell me everything after our ‘reunion’ so I stayed there for the night as it had a fade to black sex scene (no rly. lol that’s funny now that I’m awake) and during which time my family was looking for me terrified bc I just suddenly went MISSING

Grelle will poke fun and tease her friends, but if anyone else gives them grief? Oh hells naw! She'll flip shit if she finds out someone's harshing on her friends. Massive big sibling energy. She can be a bit judgemental, particularly about looks/fashion, but if someone can be helpful to her or bolster her ego, she'll adore them. Conflict, on the other hand, doesn't go so well. Brennan’s breath catches as you begin your descent of the marble stairs. You’re the picture of a warrior princess; draped in fine black silk that trails to the floor, plates of silver armor resembling tiny dragon scales covering your bare shoulders, a sheathed longsword strapped down your spine. You’ve left your hair in its usual braids, but a spiky diadem sits atop them, silver engraved with runes of protection.

“Lieutenant Colonel,” you greet, surprised. “It is always a pleasure.”

He extends a gloved hand to help you down the last three steps. “The pleasure is mine, my Lady,” he replies, lowering his head in deference and pressing a featherlight kiss to the back of your hand. 

You suppress a shiver at the touch — one you’ve felt many times, but there is something new about it now that you’re out of Tyrrendor and nobody here knows who you are to one another. It almost feels scandalous.

“Allow me to introduce Captain Mira Sorrengail and Cadet Violet Sorrengail.” 

You dip your chin to them in acknowledgment, smiling warmly. “I must thank you both for all that you’ve done for our people,” you say with a look to Xaden. 

“It has been our honor, Lady,” Violet says, smiling back. 

Mira resists the urge to roll her eyes at the finery, instead eyeing your hosts with deep distaste and suspicion — she’s never been this close to a gryphon flier without trying to kill them.

Xaden and Violet are staring each other down, undoubtedly fighting across their bond — he’s mad that she showed up unannounced, and she’s mad about him leaving her in the dark about all of this.

Brennan watches you carefully, the two of you doing some silent communication of your own.

You have every piece you need to win this game. You just need to think three steps ahead of your opponent.

The three Sorrengails clean up well.

You can only imagine the amount of coercion it took to get Mira into that dress, but it looks good on her. Violet wears a similar one, her hair down and flowing over her shoulders instead of her usual tight coronet, and Xaden can’t seem to pull his eyes away from the soft silver strands.

You can’t help but smile at Brennan. He must have packed the formal uniform himself, knowing the level of dress required at these types of dealings from the complaining you’d done every time you’d returned. 

It looks near-identical to the one he’d worn on your wedding day — that one now hangs in a closet in your parents’ estate in Lindell, beside your white silk dress, but that jacket did not have quite as many adornments; he’s earned a few more stripes in the last three years.

You may not be close to him now, forced to remain a professional distance away, but you take solace in the fact that your hands have been all over that uniform before — that you’d sewn on the Lieutenant Colonel’s insignia for him last year, that you’ve stripped that jacket off of him more than once.

The Viscount wastes no time making his first move. “Have you given any more thought to Drake’s proposal, Lady Lindell? He is quite eager to hear back from you.”

Your heart pounds against your ribs; you weren’t expecting to discuss this now. “I have, actually.”

Brennan has never been a jealous person, never quick to anger, but right now he looks like he’s going to break a bone in his hand from how hard he’s clenching it into a fist. 

You choose your words carefully, knowing that these negotiations may be over in seconds if you say the wrong thing.

“I must decline. Tyrrendor is still working to recover from the events of years past, and we are now being presented with new threats as well. It would be wrong to divert any attention from my people at a time when they need leadership most.”

“Always so noble, Lady,” Tecarus praises with a sly smile. “It is easy to see why he is so enamored with you, despite your differences. Perhaps the two of you could discuss it again after this matter is resolved.”

Of course he won’t take no for an answer. 

Brennan has relaxed, but he still looks upset, avoiding your gaze. 

You can’t seem to quell the bubbling fear in your chest. Does Brennan doubt your affection for him, your commitment to him? Surely he understands that this is strictly business, that you aren’t seriously entertaining the idea of leaving him for Drake Cordella.

“Do not take his distance to heart, royal one,” Ban says firmly. “He loved you through his dying breath, and he will continue to far beyond the next.”

She’s right. You’ve never given Brennan any reason to believe otherwise, and you’d probably feel the same, should he have received a marriage proposal from another.

You realize exactly why you’d doubted yourself — Cat is staring daggers at you from her uncle’s side.

“That’s not the real reason, is it?” She asks, and the discussion that you hadn’t really been listening to suddenly grinds to a halt. Every head turns toward her, then follows her burning gaze to you. 

If she wants to fight this fight, you’ll let her. There is no getting under your skin, under the crown you wear; you’ll play her game, and you’ll win.

“I had hoped the Viscount and I would continue this conversation privately, as it is not the focus of our gathering,” you reply in the cold tone you’d use to discipline a cadet. “There are multiple reasons for my declination, which I shall not discuss in present company, but the foremost is that I have already found the one I wish to share my title with, and it is not your cousin.”

Cat simmers with rage and embarrassment, clearly not done with you, but you revel in the look on her face nonetheless. 

You can feel Xaden’s eyes on you, burning into your skin, but you do not turn to look in his direction. You will not apologize for anything tonight. You will not retreat an inch.

“If she says another word, I’ll roast her and her bird,” Tairn purrs, making a rare appearance.

“Not until the luminary is secured,” his mate replies, almost playful — she’s just as sick of the girl as he is.

You build up the mental wall, but leave some gaps in the brick; enough to send a message, but not to block them out completely. They do not protest, leaving you to your business; likely headed off to sample Poromiel’s sheep.

The night air here is just as cold as in Tyrrendor, and you’re rather underdressed for the chill as you step out onto the balcony. You open the door of your father’s library just a crack, allowing yourself to draw a tiny fraction of Ban’s power to warm yourself, letting the gentle heat flow through you as you rub your palms over the exposed skin of your arms.

Brennan comes to stand at your right, maintaining a professional distance between you. 

You keep your eyes forward, surveying the arena, and speak quietly, even though nobody else here knows the language. “Have I ever told you how much I love seeing you in a proper officer’s uniform, Lieutenant Colonel?”

You can see him redden in your periphery — you’d found out after his latest promotion exactly how much he likes hearing you say that title.

“It does not hold a candle to you in that dress,” he deflects. “You’re always regal, even in flight leathers, but this…” he blows out a nervous breath, not daring to finish the sentence. 

“It took two ladies maids to do up all these clasps,” you say, a mischievous smile on your face. “I could use your help taking it off tonight — I know you’ve always been good with your hands.”

Xaden interrupts before Brennan can reply, the words coming out angular and unpolished. “Stop mind-fucking each other and focus.”

“That’s rich coming from you,” Brennan scoffs. “You’re always looking at my sister like you want to eat her.”

You shoot the younger man a glare of warning, already knowing what his next words would be. “Don’t.”

Xaden rolls his eyes in response, but stays quiet.

Mira and Violet head down the stairs, and you step forward, intent to join them.

“Ah-ah, lady. You don’t want to get too close,” the Viscount says, and two of his men tug you back by your upper arms.

The wall you’ve put up is starting to crack, the emotions behind it slipping through as you realize there’s a very real chance that whatever’s in that chest is going to kill them.

The guards tighten their grip on you, likely instructed to keep you out of harm's way until this is over. You don’t struggle, focusing on your breathing, trying to reinforce the wall, to maintain the mask you need to wear tonight.

“Say the word, and we bring the castle down,” Ban growls.

“Not until we’ve made a deal,” you snap back.

It must be obvious to Xaden that you’re losing your grip. “He wants me to tell you two not to do anything stupid,” Sgaeyl forwards, sounding like she’s rolling her eyes. 

You don’t respond, don’t look to the boy to reply; you can’t tear your eyes from the lawn below you, where a living, breathing venin is standing less than fifty yards away from the two Sorrengail girls.

The wall crumbles in its entirety, rage and fear flooding through you. The guards pull their hands back, hissing in pain — you’ve scalded their palms.

Brennan is already heading down the stairs.

“Take this,” you call, finally able to form words. He turns, and you unsheath your sword in one quick movement, tossing it to him over the edge of the balcony.

You pray he won’t need to use it, but there’s nothing else you can do; even if you ran down there right now, it’s raining too hard for you to create a shield of fire around them, or to burn the thing to a crisp yourself.

All you can do is watch as the three siblings press themselves together, Mira screaming as she uses everything she has to shield them from the wave of decay.

“Incoming!”

Tairn is the first to arrive, swooping down into the arena to lift Violet up as lightning strikes the soaked grass -- electrocuting the venin. It crumples to the ground, dead.

The other four dragons weren’t far behind. They perch on the stone edge of the arena, eyeing your hosts with contempt. Ban appears to debate whether or not she’s hungry enough to polish off a whole gryphon, Sgaeyl looking like she wants to torch the gaggle of Poromish nobles that had appeared to watch Violet wield.

Relief floods your body, but it’s quickly replaced by anger -- anger that Tecarus would dare to risk Violet’s life in this way, to risk everyone’s lives by releasing a venin on his lawn.

Xaden is already on it; you turn back to see shadows curled around the man’s throat, his feet six inches off the ground as Cat pleads with him to release the man. There must be some silent communication between him and Violet, as he unhands him soon enough, sending him straight to the floor rather unceremoniously.

Mira still looks a little pale, but she’s standing on her own. You rest a hand on her arm, the other on Brennan’s, sending a soft wave of warmth to each of them; they’re both soaked to the bone and shivering.

Brennan motions for you to turn, sheathing the sword at your back. His fingertips brush your spine gently, both a soft gesture of thanks and a reminder that he is still here, despite the events of the last five minutes.

You take a breath, willing yourself to relax and building the wall back up. The game is nowhere near over.

You wait in steely silence as the four other riders change back into dry flight leathers, your gaze not leaving the two guards who had restrained you earlier. They eye you with a healthy dose of fear, keeping their distance from you and your fellow riders.

You take this chance to rearrange your pieces, taking a different seat than you’d been assigned earlier. The other four fall into place silently; a united front of the Aretian leaders in the middle, a Sorrengail sister at each end. You sit eye to eye with Tecarus, Violet with Cat — both intentional choices. 

Everything you’ve done tonight has been a message, a statement, and you are barring no holds, taking no prisoners after he’d put your family in mortal danger.

You are not the ranking officer at this table, nor the ranking royal, but they let you make the call; it is obvious to them that you’re enraged. 

You keep your composure, letting the anger smolder as you speak. “I believe we have upheld our end of this deal, Viscount. We will-”

Tecarus cuts you off. “I’m afraid you are no longer in a position to be bargaining here, Lady.”

What?

“That’s ridiculous,” Brennan argues. “You won’t help us protect this entire continent, because she won’t marry your nephew?”

Your heart swells at Brennan’s unwavering defense of you, but you quickly realize what he’s done — and so does the Viscount.

“The fair knight is always ready to protect his queen,” Tecarus muses, a sly smile on his face. “But he isn’t just a knight to you, is he, Lady?”

You do not hesitate for a second, ready to put this business to bed, to finally be done with Drake Cordella’s advances and his uncle’s ceaseless meddling.

You turn to Brennan, your eyes not leaving his as you speak. “He is not just a knight. He is my husband, and when the day comes, he will stand beside me and take the title of Duke Consort of Lindell. We cannot be separated, even by death, and he is the one thing I will not compromise on.”

Brennan gives you a soft smile; after three years, you’ve finally told someone about the two of you, someone who wasn’t immediate family and hadn’t attended your wedding.

He reaches for your hand under the table. You take it, intertwining your fingers and lifting your clasped hands, resting them on the smooth wood for all to see, your rings now on full display.

You look back to Tecarus, who is uncharacteristically silent.

Brennan takes a turn to speak. “I will remind you that she is the one who has been weaving the runes embedded in those daggers my Lieutenants have given you. Should you continue to disrespect her, you will soon find yourself defenseless against a force beyond your comprehension.”

Check.

The Viscount smiles, though the expression doesn’t quite reach his eyes. “Very well. In that case, I would like to change my terms.”

You nod, giving him permission to speak at his own table.

“I have taken in a hundred flier cadets and their leadership following the destruction of their academy. Take them with you back to Aretia, and train them to fight the venin, and the luminary is yours.”

You don’t bother to look to Xaden or Brennan to confer; it’s clear that everyone absolutely despises this idea.

“Fine,” you respond. “This threat is a threat to us all, and we will be stronger together than we will be separate. We will house and educate your cadets alongside our own, but it would behoove them to tread carefully. Riders and fliers have been enemies for centuries, and many aren’t quite so tolerant as us.”

You don’t need to look at Cat while you say it; she knows the message is directed to her.

“Then we have an accord,” Tecarus says, rising from his chair. “The fliers will be prepared to leave tomorrow at first light.”

“As will we,” you respond. You do not deign to thank him, watching in silence as he and his advisors file out of the room.

“If Drake so much as looks at you…” Brennan huffs, likely imagining the man with a broken nose.

You laugh, resting your ringed hand over his heart. “He can look all he wants, but I will gladly let you defend my honor if he tries anything else — you’re the only one allowed to touch.”

He groans in half-hearted complaint. “You can’t say things like that to me when we’re-”

“Your Grace,” Mira interrupts, bowing exaggeratedly.

“Cut it out,” her brother scolds, embarrassed.

You giggle. “I have a feeling she isn’t going to let that go any time soon, my love.”

“Nope,” Violet agrees, grinning from ear to ear.

“Need I remind you that you are in a very similar situation, sister?”

“You do not,” Xaden answers, stepping up behind her and wrapping an arm around her waist.

Mira nearly gags at the sight, still unused to seeing her sister with the Riorson boy.

You smile, looking at your family for a moment. “Excellent work, all of you. Now get some rest; we have a long flight home in the morning.”

You don’t need to tell them to stay on their guard — they know that this castle has eyes and ears everywhere, and that not everyone in it can be trusted.

The three of them nod, turning to head up the stairs.

You gasp softly as you feel one of the many buttons at the back of your dress come undone, your hand flying up to hold the fabric to your chest.

“I was never assigned a room,” Brennan murmurs, his warm breath ghosting over your neck. “Mind if we share?”

you glanced up quizzically before handing him the eyeliner, already looking around to find more makeup wipes when this inevitably goes wrong 

to your utter surprise tho the eyeliner is perfect??? two perfect winged lines??? in less than a minute??? WHAT

you just stood there like 😦 before diluc got back up and handed you the eyeliner 

you were short-circuiting, klee was ecstatic, diluc was worried about you

he doesn’t know why, it’s just a cute habit and he finds the feel of his fingers in your hair soothing

oH on the topic of comfort, kaeya really likes resting two fingers on the back of your neck???

ik he seems like the type to throw his arm around your shoulder which yes he totally is but during more serious conversations his hand automatically seeks out the warmth of your neck 

your neck feels amazing especially during the warmer months due to his chilly fingers contrasting with your warm skin  

he likes that he’s able to access such a vulnerable part of you and you would willingly let him

once you’ve seen the parts of him he’s offered to you, the hushed whispers of his past, and the uncertain lines of his future, he will take off his eyepatch

Felinette slow burn with focus on developing other friendships too. Superhero, family, and school drama. Link to the whole series.

As Marinette, she already lost. As Ladybug, she couldn’t afford to lose. So when a Trickster offered a hand in exchange for the foxtail pendant he already took, she couldn’t afford to lose it.

Symphony of Lights - Completed - Childhood Friends AU - Tag: #SoL AU - A short romantic fic focusing on Félix’s and Marinette’s reconnection during adulthood after years separated. Features some pre 3d Miraculous concepts and lots of indulgence with my autistic Félix and ADHD Marinette headcanons. The series also features oneshots that take place either in their childhood (pre-Symphony of Lights) or their adulthood (post-Symphony of Lights).

The Festival of Lights is soaring in the streets of Paris and Félix is enjoying it in a quiet corner of a café when a familiar face walks in.

On-going works:

City of Fools - Fox!Félix AU - Tag: #City of Fools - A direct sequel to Trickster, and while the 1st fic had already stepped out of canon compliance and into fanon territory by the end of it, this sequel is gonna dive way further into the AU-ness of it all, from the Miraculous lore to the introduction of some concept characters (at the moment, only one is for certain, but who knows). If that isn’t for you, feel free to ignore this and treat Trickster as a self-contained story (which it is! I just felt like exploring more of the AU in other fics).

After defeating Hawkmoth and saying goodbye to her teammates for the summer break, Marinette moves with her newly divorced maman to a new place in Canal Saint-Martin. There, Sabine hopes to start anew with her daughter and the four magical beings they brought along.

Of course, things don’t stay calm for long. Especially once new and old foes start popping up.

Good thing a certain fox decides to come back to Paris prematurely.

Double Major in Psyche - Butterfly Hero AU - Tag: #Psyche-nauts - A Psychonauts-inspired AU where the Butterfly can enter people’s minds to help them with their problems (magical or otherwise). Technically a college AU as well, as both Félix and Marinette are in university. Deals with themes regarding mental health—mainly depression and trauma—but the overall tone is mostly lighthearted.

Paris has been dealing with wishes being granted and heroes sprouting left and right for a good while now. And under all this tumultuous, a small butterfly has been jumping from mind to mind, helping everyone he can with their mental demons.

Marinette was one of these people, and after her own wish manifested itself in the form of a mouse, she decided to help him in return. It might just give her the sense of purpose she’s lacking.

Félix Can’t Communicate - Komi-san AU - Tag: #Komi Felix AU - The collective brainrot first spawned by @/kronehaze resulted in the creation of this series. Mostly felinette fluff based around Komi-san eps, but I also want to try some different storylines; featuring: Human kwamis as the school’s workers.

Although he has tons of admirers in Kwomi Shouka École, due to his severe social anxiety, Félix struggles to communicate with others and form meaningful connections, so he just stopped bothering. But it seems like the new student was able to stop and listen.

Stray Cats - Runaway Brothers AU - Tag: #Stray Cats - Marinette and Félix are young adults while Adrien is Félix’s baby brother. A strangers to friends to lovers with brotherly love and found family story; it also turned out to have some superhero action with pre-3d concepts for the powers and a Butterfly Mafia from chap 4 onwards idmdkdidmd.

On a rainy night, customers ventured into Marinette’s shop and interrupt her while she was writing her essay—that she was totally going to finish if those stray cats hadn’t stormed in.

@once-1n-a-lifetime this is a great point (sorry for tagging, but this is a side blog and I don’t wanna reply with my main lol)

I think Scott had the potential to be an amazing MC but the way they wrote him was not great. I think they had too many ideas or maybe not enough? I don’t know - but they ruined the character. I think if they hadn’t shoved so much focus on him and Allison, he’d have been a much cooler MC from the beginning.

It was almost like they wanted to narrow him down to things like ‘good guy’, ‘vet assistant’, ‘someone’s boyfriend’. There was so much potential for his character and Posey did fabulous with what was written BUT I think the writing did him dirty overall. They also tried so hard to make Derek his opposition and it white-knighted Scott so hard it took away from his dimension. And like you said, he didn’t want to be a werewolf and that was pretty consistent too which wasn’t my favorite thing.

If Scott eventually accepted that Derek was now The Alpha for real that could’ve been a cool transition and dynamic. And in that sense, having the true alpha thing would’ve been AMAZING. Imagine a pack with two alphas, one bitten and one born? THAT had a ton of potential. There could’ve been a whole storyline with Scott and Derek figuring out how to lead together. Their butting heads as dual alphas could’ve been the thing drawing the alpha pack. When Derek gives up his alpha power to save his sister he could have become Scott’s second, but they still would have been butting heads and it would’ve been fun to watch.

I see a ton of things that could have been for Scott! I wish they hadn’t done him like a lot of people do female protagonist tho by tossing him another love interest so fast. I LOVE Kira. But I don’t think they needed to be romantically involved so fast. I think they should’ve been friends for a while to allow tension between Scott and Isaac for a hot minute before growing into his own as a single guy and THEN getting with Kira. (This also would’ve allowed Kira to be part of the group before she was with Scott so it didn’t feel like she was part of the group because she was with Scott)

All in all I think they just wrote Scott into a corner and that made him less interesting to me, personally.

Interested to know your thoughts on who the main character was/is in teen wolf? I was thinking about how so much of the story revolves around Derek’s life and past, but also like some of the framing could also be ‘my best friend turned into a werewolf’ making stiles more MC? So many options just wanna hear your thoughts

In my opinion, I’d say Stiles probably. He was so involved in everything and I think his role as the ‘investigator’ kinda leads to that. Especially since we had the whole nogitsune arc and his battle vs the chimera and with his dad being prominent in the show…I’d got with Stiles. (I could see a case being made for Lydia a bit, with all her changes and craziness)

But if I could reframe the show, I think the MC *should* have been Derek bc centering on him would have been so interesting!!! Like imagine if it started with him returning to town to look for Laura??? There were so many possibilities. Especially since he was the born wolf and it was Hale family drama in the first season.

so basically: reader is living in a woods in their little wooden house, away from mondstads people, they're not often seen in public. reader is coming to the city of freedom only to borrow books with spells, because of that some people r saying that they're a witch.

which is pretty accurate, but reader prefer calling themselves magician. they cast a spell by writing a symbol on a small piece of paper and then throwing it at enemy causing dmg, or just use it to shield themselves or to heal. (ndjdbsfhjd if u watched owl house,, there's this human who draws spells on piece of paper so that's something like this)

of course they're using cryo vision to fight enemies too!!

oh hUN you've got my creative brain working with this! Thanks so much for sending it it, I hope you like it! I haven’t written Kaeya in some time so if I butchered his character I am so, so sorry lmao 💞 I really loved the concept of this omg 💞

”Really,” is the first thing Kaeya’s said to you today, “Sometimes I wonder how you could spend so much time all the way out here on your own. Don’t you ever get lonely?”

You chuckled and stepped to the side, giving him room to enter your cozy cottage. “It’s not as bad as you might think. The woods are relaxing, and sometimes a dashing knight from the nearby city comes for a visit.”

”Oh? A dashing knight you say?” Kaeya’s grin was wide as he pressed a kiss to your temple, then proceeded to wipe his shoes on your mat. He stepped into your living room to deposited the rucksack he’s been carrying on your table, then settled himself on your sofa. “And pray tell, what is it about this ‘dashing knight’ that makes visits so memorable?”

There’s a warmth that grew in your chest at the familiar sight of the Cavalry captain relaxing back into your comfy couch. You approached and nudged his long legs to give you some space to sit. “Well,” you drawled as you dug through the pack, pulling out the various books and examining them. You made a pleased noise. “Well, absolute grace and poise for one.”

In the corner of your eye, you saw Kaeya smirk to himself, resting his hands behind his head as he got comfortable. The cheeky little shit. You nudged his calf with an elbow. 

“Incredible mastery over their weapon, astounding skill with their Cryo vision,” You continued to list off, grinning to yourself as you watched Kaeya’s smirk grow with every word. It was adorable, really.

”The romantic speech. Oh, and let me not forget the stunningly good looks that I’m ever so blessed to be around.”

Kaeya waved a hand between you two, his eye closed as he basked in your praise. “Please,” he tried to say in a humble tone that was not very humble. “You embarrass me, dear. And I thought I was the flirt between us—“

”Oh, I do miss the Reconnaissance captain,” you cut him off with a cheeky smile that turned his smile upside down in an instant. “I hope Eula will visit me again soon.”

His eye narrowed at you, arms crossing on his chest as you tried to stifle your laughter. His expression was comparable to a cat who had just been dunked in water and who had not appreciated it. “How comedic of you,” Kaeya said flatly, though you knew he was not really upset. He frowned and gestured to the books on your table with a wide, sweeping gesture. “And after I braved the treacherous path to deliver these books to you, this is how I am repaid? How shameful of the witch of Wolvendom.”

”Magician,” you corrected, poking his leg. “You’ve heard my spiel before. And really, you brought the trickery upon yourself.”

”I take offense to that, I’ll have you know.” No, you’re sure he didn’t. ”You can’t say the citizens of Mondstadt are entirely wrong, though.”

Noncommittally, you shrug. You stood and piled some of the tomes in your hand, bringing them to your shelf on the opposite wall. The stack in your hands was rather large, and Kaeya wondered how you were able to comfortably carry the whole thing. “Perhaps not, but I do prefer to be called a magician either way.” You looked at him from over your shoulder, one book halfway shelved between two other books. “I trust Lisa had no complaint of the books I borrowed last week?”

”Nothing but the highest praise,” Kaeya assured. Then, as if he had remembered something, he snapped his fingers. “She told me to tell you that she wants you over for tea tomorrow, and that she wouldn’t take no for an answer.”

The thought of it made you groan, and you huffed. “I already went for supplies this week, though,” you complained, but behind your back Kaeya just shrugged.

”I’m just the messenger. Wouldn’t want to upset her, now would you?”

”…no,” You agreed, remembering the last time you had upset her.

”Glad we could come to an accord.” The cavalry captain smiled mischievously at your obvious displeasure. The conversation stalled for a minute or two as you focused on placing the books where they had to go. When you had finished organizing, you turned around and were met with Kaeya’s thoughtful stare. 

”She worries about you, you know. So do I. You can’t argue that it’s dangerous out here on your own.”

”I thought we established that a dashing knight comes to check up on me every now and again?” You asked, raising a brow playfully. You crossed your arms. “Besides, I can hold my own. There’s no need to worry.”

”I know you can hold your own,” Kaeya laughed, but there was a tinge of seriousness to it now. “Those written symbols of yours are no joke. I can still remember how tiring it was to get through your Cryo shield. “

”See?”

”And yet, can you blame me for wanting you to be safe?”

You soften at that. Kaeya’s still got a smile on his face, but you’ve known him long enough to spot the fabrication in it. There’s worry there. With soft steps you approach him, taking his hands into yours. With as even of an expression as you can, you meet his gaze. “No, I cannot blame you for it. But I feel alive here in the woods, even though it’s dangerous. I have my vision and my skills for a reason, you know? You helped me master it, you know how formidable I am.”

”I do,” he agrees. 

”And I’ve been learning to draw symbols of healing, too, so I can do more than just fight and defend. I can’t dispel your worries, though I appreciate that you care for me as much. I can tell you that I will do my best to stay safe, though.”

”Do you promise?” He asks, searching your eyes for any doubt, any indication you were saying all this just for him.

His eye was a lovely shade of blue, you realized. Leaning more on the side of periwinkle in this light, and contrasting with those strange, diamond-shaped pupils. You wondered if it was the same under his eyepatch.

”I promise.” Then the furrow of your brow relaxed and you grinned. “Though I wouldn’t mind a certain Cryo-wielding captain from the knights showing up on my doorstep every now and then. Y’know, just to check up on me.”

Kaeya’s smile changed, just enough for you to notice. He didn’t let go of your hand just yet, but his shoulders had lost some of their tension. 

”I’ll be sure to pass the message to Eula, then.”
