It's like 11pm. and I'm getting emotional thinking about Athena in Turnabout Academy again.

The first case she's ever taken on as defense, knowing full well Junie's future is at stake, and. she's dealing with this nightmare. Phoenix’s first case? A single afternoon and one Frank later, Larry's off the hook. Apollo's first case? A fake Russian lady and a slipup on Kristoph's behalf, managed in a day. And they were doing this in their mid 20s. But Athena has to not only deal with someone who knows the legal system like the back of his pasty marble hand, but grown ass men who tell her she's in over her head despite the fact she's a dual major. who's rightfully earned her badge at age 18. She's receiving nothing but sexism and ableism left and right despite all she's capable of, even the people who are supposed to be on her side are mocking her and treating her like an idiot for lacking experience. And let's not forget having to essentially provide group therapy and solve the problems of a bunch of high schoolers, at least one of whom was desperately in need of support, while still solving the themisforsaken case entirely within the bounds of the clown show this game calls a legal system. I.

I just love Athena, man.

also i am begging for people to realize that the "everything is canon" post from the sonic twitter account was a joke. it annoys me so bad that people use that tweet as a source in their arguments about sonic lore and stuff or just take it seriously at all ..... it literally means nothing it was just a silly comment they made when retweeting sonic and puyo puyo tetris crossover art but people always crop out the context when reposting it

I feel like I'm insane why are none of the hw2 update theories talking about the connections of 3 star with mxes and how its plausible they're driving the van pre-ruin it's right there it's not even hidden or hard to piece together its SO obvious. SO MUCH evidence points towards it. itd make perfect sense too. the gift shop and the van are grouped together bc its saying that mxes came from the factory, probably built by Edwin, and 3 star took them to set up ruin, their footprints around ruin where nodes are + Gregory's backpack by mxes + his knowledge about mxes making it painfully clear. it reveals where mxes came from easily. all information it could convey is here.

they all just keep saying "someone" or "they're taking mxes post ruin or it's back in the 70s or it's the van that hit david (SO many plotholes with that)" like oh my god i swear everything has to be about the mimic/tftp and Gregory and vanessa dont exist if they arent actively vanny and ggy in the YouTube theory community. why will nobody actually observe in game evidence. theres so many obvious plotholes that nobody but me sees with it being the van that hit david and it's making me feel insane

Ángel’s reaction to the ship stopping (and to them fleeing to America in general) is that he tries to pretend that nothing’s wrong, that they’re just on a pleasure cruise, that they’re not running away from anything. This is why he acts so carelessly (and consequently stresses Ramiro out so much) and also why he's struck with almost debilitating panic when something happens to shatter the illusion he's created for himself (i.e. when the ship starts to turn).

This is a very large part of his characterization in s1, so I think this scene (among others) is very important in showing how much he loves Ramiro:

This is monumental for Ángel's character because it's him acknowledging something outside of the fantasy he's created for himself, where everything is alright and he has nothing to fear! And he's doing it for Ramiro; because he knows Ramiro needs reassurance and he wants to make him feel better.

I've already written something on how Ángel's attempts to comfort Ramiro often end in Ramiro feeling as if Ángel is dismissing his worries as unimportant when Ángel is trying to help him not worry, bc in Ramiro's eyes they are very important and Ángel is being reckless but uh here i wrote another

idle thought: is the entire plan with the bedrock prison just. too noble to ever work on ls. like, even in a perfect world where zam was into it or not on the team at all and they went through with it-- and even if they found a way to make it not like. forever solitary confinement (or like even if its not solitary i mean like-- a box with nothing in it that MAYBE periodically feeds you even if other ppl were there youd all start loosing it sooner or later i feel like). like even if the prison was ethical and noble and just and the plan worked perfectly: would that even be lifesteal.

like, in grendel by john gardener the dragon tells grendel that he Exists to torment herot, that he was born to be that which the men push against. it's a core theme of the book: grendel is predestined for hell. even if he wanted to be friends with hrothgars ppl he COULDNT be, he is very literally and TEXTUALLY trapped by the narrative.

if grendel disappears, or goes away or gives up his war before beowulf kills him, thats it. theres no grendel. theres no BEOWULF. there are, essentially, three core parts of beowulf the epic poem: the fight against grendel, the fight against grendel's mother, and the fight against the dragon. without the first the second and third cant happen. without grendel to push against, the danes are nothing.

if vitalasy's prison worked, and no one ever did anything evil or tyrannical ever again and no one thought he was evil because they all read his intentions perfectly and Got It. what would happen on lifesteal with no one to push against.

a few months ago, before he lost the mace, before subz dropped his wardens, in like late february-early march, there was a mapicc clip i saw where he said something along the lines of, at least if zam were on the server he'd give me an opp. server activity was low, everyone was doomposting about the season needing to end, and mapicc needed someone to push against.

i think even if vitalasys prison worked, it goal would not have been achieved. server activity would not be up. conflict ending means no more reason to play on the server-- mcrp NEEDS player-vs-player conflict to function or it stops being lore and becomes a mod video. i dont know what phases 3-5 were, i'm not there yet, but i'm really really interested-- i think vitalasy has a video on it and ill have to check that out probably today. idk. its just interesting to think about esp since im trying to figure out howd id fix this if i were to hypothetically write a fix-it au. i think the prison would fail.

falin looks so fucked up in the anime to me. her chest and arms just having a sort of gradient into white makes it so not look like feathers LOL. its like she has really weird shirt tan marks. and her bellybutton is still visible in the white feathered part of her tummy i just noticed.i guess they really got fucked up by having to figure out an anima-table design for a person thats partially covered in feathers thats like undrawable. many such cases

if you could add the werehog to one game he wasn't in, which one would it be and why?

this isnt even a game i would consider one of my favorites but honestly sonic generations is the big one coming to mind right now. because if they were to bring the werehog back for just One game id like for it to be done in a way that makes sense for the story being told/the gimmick of the game and out of all my already existing options i think the one where the whole deal is celebrating sonics history and revisiting past games would be a good fit . and i dont think this hypothetical version of the game should be heavily werehog focused since its meant to be celebrating the series as a whole and too much unleashed stuff might feel weird/out of place but maybe they could make it where the time eater thing allows sonic to use some old one-off abilities associated with certain games and werehog is one of them . like maybe rooftop run act 2 is a nighttime stage now . idk if thats a good idea im just talking here

also i think it would be fun to get to see more of sonics friends interact with him as a werehog and sonic generations has a lot of characters in it
