It's real.#Dungeon Meshi has no romance but it does have canonically queer characters.#Shipping is fine and all but it is a running theme in the series than *everyone* who expresses romantic interest in someone -#-finds that love unrequited. Maybe now would be a good time to mention that Etho doesn’t technically join hermitcraft until after the start of Double Life… which means. Yeah dbhc Etho is still in reset-mode for the entirety of Double Life (this is about equally upsetting as it is genuinely hilarious)

(Despite being explicitly told not to force Etho to re-deviate by Xisuma and Doc, and after roughly a month of no luck, I’m sure you can imagine the impatience and desperation that went into Bdubs’ decision to sign Etho up for the next life series, considering the last one was the last time Bdubs really saw Etho. Or. As himself anyway.)

Rereading the Our Worlds at War tie-in again and God I miss their friendship every day

#they're such an underrated dynamic from this series #like throughout yj98 there's a definite distance between tim and everybody else since he can't reveal his identity to them #and cassie is definitely way closer to cissie and kon and bart than she is to him bc of that distance #and you can feel that awkwardness here in the way she apologizes to him immediately -- they're not at the level #where she can just shout and be mean to him and know it'll be fine -- not like she is with cissie or kon #but for tim -- i think he is at that level? like he wouldn't shout at her either but that's cause he's generally sweet to the yj girls #he doesn't butt heads with cassie like he does with the guys - but i also think she's someone he trusts to have his back in a very real way #and i think it's really telling that when everybody was confronting him about batman's contingencies it was CASSIE'S opinion #he asked for -- like she was the last person he thought would think that of him #obligatory 'the two people who died in his granny goodness nightmare were cassie and kon'#idk there's such an undercurrent of care even if they don't get as many 'this is my best friend' moments like some of the others #aghhhh #and the way cassie so clearly respects his opinion and is so worried he'll be mad at her when she replaces him as leader #the way she's the first one to hug him when he comes back to the team after he quits #oof. [through gritted teeth] this is awesome man this will be good for character development ok ok ok. ok?#its also got something to do with Pearl having the red creep in. i think #because during SL Gem was like. nearly idolising the Scarlet Pearl persona while vaguely aware that her own reputation has a similar effect #and yknow. the horrors. the fact that their image is so heavily built on what others deem them to be and they can only play into it #but by the end of SL Gem gets ‘betrayed’ by this persona that she looked up to #and also her own ‘GeminiSlay’ intimidating image is also starting to fall apart. partly of her own will #and now shes watching Pearl slowly turn red again. and this time she knows its not good for her or Pearl #so shes distancing herself from it. shes ‘trying to fix her reputation’. she sees Pearl falling into it again and just. no. i dont love you #you betrayed me last season #but on Pearl’s end of things she’s already deep into the idea that as long as you say you ‘forgive’ someone then everything thats happened #in the past doesn’t matter and they can all be friends. and nooo absolutely no grudges will be held. no emotional repression here #so. because thats happened to her in her own team she thinks the same can happen with her and Gem #and thats so. im going to blow myself up now

#rare WIP preview from me #this is in like. 10 episodes. lmfao #its been really hard working this far ahead #my editor isnt giving me any feedback and my friends are very busy so it's felt quite lonely #which is fine! for my friends I mean. but its my editors job to give me feedback...#but the webtoon editors are extremely extremely extremely overworked and my series is set to end so I understand its low priority #its not her fault its webtoons fault. however. its still demotivating...#oh well l m a o #I should be much further ahead ngl LMFAO I want like 12 done but I come back in 2 weeks.#we'll see #when I get really stressed out I go full gamer mode #and usually I'll sink like 60 hours (like 5 days) into a game and then I'm good and move on #but this recent game that grabbed me is. its too much actually #bit uncontrollable ngl I think its an ADHD thing I mostly have just quit playing videogames at all #cause its like yeah being stressed cause theres too much work to do is not going to be helped by losing a week and a half to a game...#and yet.#anyways the game is satisfactory #my friend bought it for me and we've been playing together #and our shared file has. 100 hours on it. and we still havent beaten the game #we're close to beating it and it's not like we're rushing or anything #cause its fun to fuck around and zap eachother or whatever #but it's got me doing math. the exact kind of math I love to do. optimization #and its reminding me yeah in another life id have been an engineer #I'm glad I'm an artist but its always weird like yeah this is easily a path I could have gone down #'artists hate math' speak for yourself doing math calms me down! He says “hey try this game I've been playing.” I say “Okay!”#I have never heard of this game. I pick the mercenary. I go through 5 min of character history and background. I am mauled to death by dogs #It took me 4 resets to even get in the dungeon. But I finally get there. I am caught by a guard. He cuts off all but one of my limbs #I am forced to crawl around in a blood and corpse pit until the game tells me 'give up idiot'.#I reset. I am mauled by dogs again. I realize this is not for me but I am intrigued enough to go home and watch some playthroughs #And WOW what an interesting game it is! I really do appreciate games that blend their design philosophy with the theme it wants to set #This is a game about fear and hunger. And persevering. And penis (my god is there a lot of penis)#I recommend this to people who like extremely challenging games and can handle the many *content warnings* within this series #If the idea of Bloodborne/eldenring and undertale having a little RPG maker baby sounds appealing to you - give it a shot #It's made by ONE GUY and it's a great horror game. I am just really bad at it.#My friends just enjoy putting me in situations where I scream and yell. We don't talk about the corn mazes. Or the other horror game nights #Apparently I'm funny when I'm Scared!#As people who follow me on twitter might know; I am deep in the pits of this series right now. I will be back with more art.

Thai QL audience may be more familiar with New Chayapak through projects like Netflix's Ready, Set, Love or I Promised You The Moon (the sequel series to I Told Sunset About You).

Fun fact: New Chayapak is actually a trainee under Nadao Academy before Nadao Bangkok got dissolved in 2022.

3. Pide Monthapoom Sumonvarangkul

If you've watched sports themed BL series Our Days before, you may remember Pide Monthapoom who plays Q.
