“Are you upset?” you ask Sirius.

His brows pinch. “Why would I be?”

“Because…” You cringe. “Aren’t you two…?”

“There’s been a lot of confusion, I think,” Remus says kindly. “But when we were talking, we both sort of came to the realization that we fancy each other…and you.”

There’s a dense pause.

“And me?” you echo.

Remus’ lips tilt slightly. “Yes.”

“As in…” You rub your eyes, dumbfounded. “Sorry, I did just wake up.”

Sirius laughs. Remus too, reaching over to rub your knee like he can’t help himself.

“For the record, I didn’t plan any of this,” says Sirius, “but if I had, I’d have done it exactly this way. It’s very gratifying to finally disturb your sleep schedules the way you pricks have been doing to me all these weeks.”

“Oi,” Remus chides teasingly, reaching over you to push at Sirius’ thigh. You marvel at this new easiness between them, now given even newer context. “Anyway, we thought we’d come see if you might be interested.”

“In both of us, yes,” Remus confirms patiently.

Happy New Year! I've been writing too many recaps lately so this will be brief. Anyway as usual, spoilers and opinions below, read at your own risk.

QL - Currently Watching

🇹🇭 Caged Again [9/10] - I don't think the poachers escaping and going after them again was necessary, and it certainly wasn't well executed.

🇯🇵 Call Me by No-Name [1/8] - I love the visuals, it's all very deliberate, with the lighting , the colours and all the lines. I'm intrigued about no-name and the scheherazade of it all. She must be running from something, or someone. Probably the second. 🇹🇭 Fourever You [15/16] - I don't know why I'm still watching. I really don't.

🇨🇳 I'll Turn Around This Time [1/6] - Very nice production, I really like the visuals. The first episode spanned 3 months so it was a lot but I think it was well paced. Time loop has begun so I expect a lot of heartache. Curious about this one. 🇯🇵Miseinen [9/10] - I think some of the changes they made from the source material really didn't help the story in the second half of the show. And this last episode just felt like they were more focused on continuing the visual metaphors than to actually move the story forward in a way that made sense. I'm kinda disappointed tbh.

🇹🇭 Ossan's Love Th [2/12] - I'm having so much fun. Smitten Mix is my favourite Mix, and I'm loving seeing Earth do something different. I actually like the Boss, I think the show is doing a good job balancing the more excentric side with the professional. That moment on the roof when he and Moo went from fighting to professional mode was well done.

🇹🇭 Perfect 10 Liners [14/24] - I adore them.

🇹🇭 Sangmin Dinneaw [3/8] - This show just went full on bonkers. I mean, this whole episode was crazy. I don't even know what to say. The hotel manager is not funny, I can't stand her. The mains are cute but I don't know if I'm gonna stick with this one.

🇹🇼 See Your Love [11/13] - It's like watching two shows in one. On one side we have the most endearing couple. They are completely in love with each other and helping each other through their individual issues. And the other...I don't really know what's happening.

🇹🇭 The Boy Next World [4/10] - Ok, so we all agree that Cir is just more than a little insane, like probably because of that mother, and not really from a parallel universe, and has probably been stalking watching Phu from afar since that day in the classroom, right? Great.

🇹🇭 The Heart Killers [9/12] - I'm still watching quietly.

🇹🇭 ThamePo [7/12] - They are so charming and earnest. And Est is too beautiful for this world. But also...

🇯🇵 When It Rains, It Pours [1/7] - I'm very curious. I really like the setup, it feels grown up. Also I'm curious if the gay couple, is actually a couple, or if maybe they were once but now they stayed together for convenience or some other reason. We'll see.

🇹🇭 Your Sky [11/12] - Hia and Real need to get on with it. Lee and Ghlai need their own show. Teerak and Fah continue to be the most lovable couple in all the land.

QL - Finished

🇯🇵Love in the Air Koi - I appreciated the condensed stories, with less filler and the parallel kidnappings. And I preferred this version of the second couple.

🇯🇵 Love is a Poison - I adore them. Shiba is such a fascinating and original character. The actors did an incredible job, and I could watch them be battle husbands for 5 more seasons. Oh and the succulents. I will miss them most of all.

🇹🇭 My Stand-In - Final thoughts here.

🇹🇭 Spare Me Your Mercy - It's interesting in the context of euthanasia but not much else. The crime part of this was messy and the romance was practically not existent or otherwise not believable.

okay this is probably going to make no sense and like 80% of it is pulled straight out of my ass but i thought it was fun to try and figure out

my ideas for how old each of the known charming cousins are and how they're all related

okay so. there's only one named aunt/uncle, and thats fairest, who's mentioned as the "youngest aunt," and is in a group of princesses that can be gathered to be vaguely similar to darling's age. bcuz shes explicitly singled out as an aunt, i think that means she is def older than the group though, so i'm gna say shes in her mid-20s maybe, so lets say like 24 or 25 maybe?

additionally, there's a theme of siblings' names starting with the same letter. however, that's sort of each cousin group, so i think that each of grandpa auspicious and grandma alluring's kids were named with a different letter, and then they each named their kids w those letters. ADDITIONALLY, in a lot of big families, as someone from a decently big family, there are often a bunch of second-cousins, who are your parents' cousins, and second-cousins-once-removed, who are their kids. so to fill in some weird gaps in ages/etc, in addition to just the number of kids, i think grandma alluring probably has a sibling, and them and their family & grandkids are also involved in the Family Ball. grandma alluring probably ended up w the sort of core oldest palace bcuz she was the older sibling, so its kind of js like the family homestead now or whatever. also, the charmings are pretty patriarchal, so if shes the older one and still ended up w the house, her sibling is def another sister.

okay so, known sibling groups:

daring--dexter--darling, grandma alluring's side, all ~16

courageous--cherished--charity, i think they'd be from gma alluring's side as well bcuz darling and dexter interact w her like theyre decently close; charity is def ~16 as well, and courageous is little so maybe like 4-7ish? cherished is w/ charity in the group of princesses that's around darling's age, so ive kind of randomly decided she's a tiny bit younger, maybe ~13-14 idk, and likes feeling like a part of things.

gallant--glorious--gutsy--gracious--gorgeous--good-enough, bcuz they start w G their parent wld be born after fairest, and since she's the "youngest aunt" im js assuming fairest doesnt have a younger brother, so theyre gma's sibling's side; good-enough is canonically 5yo, and the average age gap between siblings is ~4yrs, so lets say gracious+gorgeous are like 10 and 12 ish, gutsy a couple years older, and gallant and glorious a few more years older.

and then, not explicitly stated as siblings, but beauteous, breathtaking, beloved, and bountiful. bcuz im only basing this around two branches of the family, theyre gna be two pairs of siblings. bountiful isn't in the group w fairest/other B princesses/charity/darling, so i'm going to assume she's younger. bcuz beauteous and breathtaking r the first two mentioned im gna say they're siblings even tho that doesnt rlly make sense, and then beloved & bountiful are sisters. idk who'd be from which side though. and not sure why i feel this way but id say bountiful is ~12ish, beloved ~18ish, and then beauteous and breathtaking maybe like 18 and 20 or smth idk just to even it out and make less of a gap from fairest's age to the others.

okay now those who dont have explicitly stated siblings or vague context clues like the Bs

earnest is described as "throwing around the younger charmings w daring," so id put him maybe two years older? just to try to keep some variety in the ages. just for funsies i think he'd be from gma's sibling's side, idk why. there are two more named charmings that start w E, so to even out the number of cousins on each side, i think those two are siblings, and from gma alluring's side. that's elegant and errant. elegant can be whatever age i think, maybe similar to bountiful or a couple years younger idk. errant is stated as having told good-enough he was too little to get anything on the quest, so i think making him 2-3 years older at 7 or 8 is reasonable (also it fits into the avg sibling age gap of 4yrs purely by chance).

there's one other charming that starts w/ C, and that's caring, so she's going on gma's sibling's side.

and then the last two named charmings' names both start with F, and that's fearless and fragile. i have literally no ideas abt their ages, so like think abt them however you want lol, and im putting them on gma's sibling's side, bcuz fairest is only 25ish, and bcuz shes hanging out w a group of like younger princesses idk if she seems the type to have kids yet.

so, basically, i think it looks something like this:

Always! I enjoy the engagement, back and forth dialogue it sometimes sparks, and the little community in the comment section. Comments are never expected, but make me so incredibly happy, so I try to carve out time to answer each one 💕

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I always like to write a tidy and relatively ‘good’ ending, but I have a lot of unfinished WIPs T.T so no one would know that I guess

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

My FuseHound story A Familiar Face will have a very happy and upbeat ending — but I need to finish it first ^^’

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I’ve been pretty lucky on that front. I have only ever gotten one hateful comment — it said I am an awful person must have endured some horrific abuse as a child to write rough sex / predator/prey and CNC between consenting adult characters. I just deleted and moved on.

9. Do you write smut?

It’s my favorite to read and write!

10. Craziest crossover.

I personally don’t write crossovers but love to read AUs!

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

No, thank goodness.

No — idk if I would be able to do this, but I like the idea of it in theory

Ohhh FuseHound from Apex legends still holds a special place in my heart, along with SoapGhost and Soap x Ghost x König

15. What's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

The first fic I ever started posting — Fated. 300k and not finished. It was a labor of love and definitely helped me relearn how to write.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Sensory details (sight/smell/sound/tactile) as well as descriptions of food.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Dialogue, especially during smut. T.T it takes me multiple tries and edits to get it right, and even then I'm not always 100% happy with the result

18. Thoughts on dialogue in another language?

I adore it, when not used excessively. It works well for a story like Trapper, Keeper, imo because König is okay with the reader not knowing what he’s saying. And if the character sprinkles their language through their dialogue in canon (like Bloodhound using Icelandic words/phrases) it keeps the characterization on point.

But also as an American with a plain Midwest/mildly Chicagoan accent, I just think other languages and accents are incredibly hot! I’ve learned from some natives I’ve talked to (especially regarding German) that they tend to find like, pillow talk in their own language incredibly cringy and hard to read or listen to 😭 so I do try to limit it to certain contexts in my own work.

19. First fandom you wrote in?

Metalocalypse when I was like 13. Thank goodness I never posted that anywhere and just scribbled it in a notebook. It was like, Tina Belcher from Bob’s Burgers level of goofy “erotic friend fiction” where I thought I was so raunchy even though everything was fade to black.

Probably a tie between Trapper, Keeper, Delta Tango Foxtrot, and my sandman fic The First of Many that still needs to be finished

The answer to this question used to be “no haha well maybe like every once in a while” but like. Considering I posted an E rated chapter this very morning, I cannot equivocate about that anymore

Proving God, or Not.

It's somewhat odd to be making this post, given that my starting point was a series of first principles - posits.

My first was that there is more to the universe then what I can see, smell, taste, hear and touch.

The second was that what I can't interact with is just as varied as what I can.

My last was, that for the sake of argument, what I could interact with is a subtotal of the entire universe, arranged in a hierarchy with something at the top.

This brings us to the idea of God.

He is therefore not a proof, but a definition. Much like in geometry - a point must be defined before anything else happens. Based upon that point, a whole host of further postulates and theorems can be generated, ending with the totality of Euclidean Geometry.

I see the work of God in the Unified Field Theory, The Grand Unified Theory, and in any study which seeks to understand the world around us as systems, such as the water cycle, and processes such as economics, rather than as discrete objects unrelated to one another. I am especially excited when I see things that were once considered separate, joined together in a larger context. In my mind, That larger context gets us closer to God. (John 12:32, Ephesians 1:10)

Let's talk Schrodinger's cat. Only by cat, I mean God. We've all heard Pascals wager, the one about living ones life as if God existed. Here's the thing, the proof of God will be revealed one way or another, I just don't think it will be during our lives or in this earthly realm. I think we'll have to die ourselves before we are able to open the box. By then, having the proof will be too late. Germs existed long before viruses and bacteria were discovered. The Atomic Bomb started as a postulate before it became a reality. I think of God in the same terms.

I read the Bible. I go to a protestant Church. But most Christians would probably call me a heretic. Even though Christ himself understood the difficulty of belief in things unseen. (John 20:29, Luke 16:27-31) He did give himself as a referent to God the father (John 14:9)

It is clear that I'm writing to people who aren't really interested with what I'm saying in that I've written several years of posts covering this stuff. I've highlighted my disdain for certain Christian tropes that I think are distortions of what we are called to be as Christians.

I take my regular readership to be a handful of hodgepodge Chistians covering a host of denominations, and possibly one political philosopher.

My goal isn't to engage in apologetics, I'm not trying to get anyone to believe in a God they don't want to believe in. Atheists want me to prove God, when all I care about is, assuming God exists, what might he be like, and how would he want me to live my best life in harmony with everyone else's best life (I'm including naked mole rats, rubber boas, and really anything else that has a claim to life here on earth).

I look to native concepts of "the all father" to see how they implemented the concept of God into their praxis and liturgies.

My personal belief is that the Eastern Orthodox Churches by-and-large come the closest to my idea of God within the Christian world.

And while Rationalist Atheists scoff at miracles, The Eastern Churches still have them, though you won't hear them publicized (Per Luke 16, among other verses). I've also been told that Eastern Orthodoxy respects and integrates Native American experience and traditions in a way other Churches don't. I don't know how true that is, but it's the report I've heard.

Resentment list 4th step

1.being born into an awful divorce, this traumatized me and ruined my self-esteem. This covers so much I'm not sure how I'll get to 20?

2.my shy, timid nature. It would kill me to hurt a fly I'm quite the softie.

3.self-harm. I began cutting myself extensively around 18-19, this really cemented the self-hatred that stalks me all the time.

4.my female friends as a kid knowing I was gay before I did. My dick really controls me sometimes I just wanna get rid of it.

5.Being brought to a psychiatrist at 14(wow this is a big one) and going along with whatever he said because I didn't know better(how could I?). He put me on over a dozen different anti-depressants by the time I turned 15.

6. Poverty and injustice I see all around me, it sucks how unfair this world can be.

7.My father being an alcoholic, although he would never admit this. He used to get drunk and "wrestle" me really aggressively as a kid( like age 9)

8.getting creepily diddled by my family doctor, she said she was "checking me for lumps" but she had this creepy grin on her face and it lasted for at least 20 seconds.

9. My mother refusing any contact with me for the past 6 years. This has been the saddest part of my life, she raised me on her own and I feel so lost without her I cannot bear. I love her more than anything, she's my everything.

10. Crystal meth. You sank your hooks into me and ripped away my kindness, humanity and soul. I will never forgive you.

11.The deep sadness I've felt my entire life. This kindof relates to the first two, but just for context, this is the hole that meth filled. This was caused by an acute lack, of love and kindness/ my upbringing.

12. The demons that Crystal meth brought out of me. I will get more into this as it's really a few things. First of all it made me violent, my first time coming down I punched this small, make nurse as hard as I could. this isn't me, this isn't what my mother raised me to to.

13. This is my blog and there's just no way around this, my dad is kindof a pedophile, or "hebophile" more accurately, I've seen him thirsting over teenage girls. My mother, acutely aware of this did her best to shelter me from him and keep me safe. I always thought my mother's love was enough, I believed it would protect me.

14. When my mother left me at 19, I pretty much immediately began masturbating to the thought of girls a few years younger than me as a coping mechanism. I'll never forgive myself for this, when she left it felt like the good part of me left too.

15. The strange omerta surrounding these, uh, "issues" that make it impossible to actually help anyone and pretty much guarantee someone could get hurt, even though it's 2024, I geuss it's because it only really happens in men and we're in a tough place as a society(COVID)

16. As you may have geussed by now, Crystal meth brought out full blown pedophillc thoughts in me. It was the only thing that made me not suicidal for the first time in years, but yeah after a few months of daily use. I just full on wanted to fuck a child I can't really explain it, I don't act on these thoughts I'd rather jump off a bridge.

17. In conclusion, you may say "LOL UR A P3D0 KYS", and to that I say, alright. I've survived 3 or 4 suicide attempts so don't think you can break me so easily. I'm not here to advocate for pedophiles, but I'm a person, an inconveniently queer one so make of that what you will!

P.S. I'm in therapy and have been sober from meth so since August, I'm doing my best to man-up and solve my issues but if that's not good enough for you, you know what I know exactly how you feel a lot of things aren't good enough for me, including your society.

Hunter x Hunter. It's not my first fandom, but it's the first one that i've liked enough to write fic for.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

I don't have 5 fics yet, but my most kudos'd one by far is "No, I Don't Accept Your Stupid Rose"

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Yes! I always try to respond, but I tend to do it all at once when I'm logged in to update, so it can take awhile. I'm not reading as much fic as I used to, so chatting in the comments and on tumblr is sometimes the only way I engage in fandom, and I appreciate the interaction that much more.

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I guess "oh well, whatever, never mind" is the closest to an angsty ending? I still think it's happy, but I left it open ended.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

NIDAYSR is definitely the happiest. I even gave them an epilogue.

I can finally say yes! There's just the one so far, so idk if I can say what kind it is? I'm into pining though, so any smut that I write will probably be the result of super pent up longing and frustration, since that's what I'm the most interested in.

Oh god. I had a near-crack Office AU with Gon and Killua as useless interns that I loved dearly, but the plot was going nowhere and it wasn't good enough to post. RIP parkour parkour

I would love to say humour, but I think it's writing cringe. I've been told multiple times that I've induced terrible secondhand embarrassment on behalf of the characters (usually Gon), so I think this is my gift/curse.

Action for sure. I still have a hard time working out how to drop info so readers know what's happening.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Whenever I've come across it in fics or books it's cool, and I like when authors add extra info and context in the notes. I only speak one language, so I'd need help if I ever wanted to try it for myself.

Ok, so I think my *best* fic is "love me dead," but my favourite fic is "oh well, whatever, never mind" because I think my writing improved the most while working on that one, and for all the 90s nostalgia I got to pack into it.

I do! Sometimes you become frens when you chat about fic with people. Sometimes I only have the emotional energy for an emoji, but I can't even begin to explain how happy a lil comment makes me.

It's a tie, but since no Teen Wolf fics make my top ten, I'll go with:

Deucalion's Progeny , a very dark Scott whump fic ft truedemon

Scott is the Best Dad: This series is ENTIRELY scira fluff, pack feels, Yukimura family feels and just all around everything being adorable

8. Do you get hate on fic?

I have one, that I won't share, from ages ago that has a lot of hate. It was deserved since I was trolling and the fic was really bad. 🤣

9. Do you write smut?

Yess! Someone has to be out here making sure Scott gets all of the filthy sex he deserves.

10. Do you write crossovers?

I do if I want to explore both fandoms! La Femme Nikita/Nikita crossovers are so fun to me.

Can't imagine anyone bothering. I have a v niche appeal 😅

No one has offered, but if anyone wanted to, I'd be beyond stunned and flattered.

@illbeintheend and I have started several and even finished one.

14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

I didn't think I had one, until Truedemon. Something about Scott/Deucalion just resonates with me.

15. What’s a wip you want to finish but probably won’t?

I started a scileo fic a while back about Stiles finding Theo at a BDSM club with Deucalion and being realllly into watching Theo get spanked. It eventually becomes Steo, and then they both realized that they are really interested more in Scott. But Scott is busy with school all the time and couldn't possibly like them. But actually Scott would really like Stiles to spank him, please. And eventually they get there.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I can churn out a lot of mediocre fic very quickly. I have tons of ideas and am very creative. I can do a fairly decent short fic and you can feel that I love the source material and characters I write for in my fics.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Long fic with cohesive themes and plots.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I have a lot. Generally, unless it's obvious what the words are from context, necessary for the reader not to understand the language with the character, or making a point to explore a character's cultural roots: "Ah, yes please," Satomi said in Japanese, is the easiest way to handle it. To me.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Technically Star Wars in a spiral bound notebook. Shared online: Animorphs.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

This is hard. I'm picking this one because it was really hard to write and I just reread it. And even though it has only 32 kudos it's GOOD. Equivalent Exchange: I wrote this for the first scottuary, it's about Noshiko and Scott developing a relationship. It's about gift giving and mentorship and Noshiko's views on Scott as a leader. It's thoughtful and I think a really nice look at both of them. And imo, easily one of my most underrated fics.

One) A cute Jesse/Emily Control fic

Two) A porny TF2 Sniper fic

Three) A sad Stan centric Gravity Falls fic

I try very hard to, but sometimes there's a big delay since my brain isn't CONSISTENTLY functional.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Okay, MOST of my fics are unfinished, but maybe the Octavia/Miller fic that fits just inside of canon, The Last Few Firsts? Or the Prey fic Complimentary Colors, because while my ending is hopeful for canon, man, that canon is GRIM.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Either The Eighth Floor of the Panopticon is a Lost and Found or Parahelion, simply because both of those fics are very alice-of-life and end in an upbeat note.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Nope, I sometimes think that you need to get pretty BIG to get hate.

9. Do you write smut?

Yes. Just yes.

10. Craziest crossover?

I was working on a Supernatural/X-Files crossover based around Scully meeting Castiel and having her faith confirmed and it going WEIRDLY, but it remains unpublished.

No, again: I'm a nobody.

No, but I've had someone podfic them!!!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I've had friends (HOOT) mentally walk me through plot points (like my Gravity Falls fic), or even give me ideas they didn't wanna write (my current WIP for Fallout 4, centered around STURGES of all people). But that's it.

14. All time favorite ship?

Tough call, gonna have to cut back to the Source Material for this one and call it a ship I e never written for: Tulio/Miguel/Chel. You know I'm right, objectively.

15. What's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Oh god, yeah, all of em? The least likely to be finished is probably the Crimson Peak one.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Not much other than a good sense of character tone/voice. I'm pretty proud of some patches of dry humor, but that's a taste thing.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Oh you know, everything not character tone/voice..? Uh, plot, pacing, overarching themes, telegraphing anything ever.

18. Thoughts on dialogue in another language?

My opinion: it's never appropriate to use another language unless the fic is meant to be read without any NEED for understanding that second language at all. If your side characters are speaking a foreign language and the main character doesn't KNOW that language, and you want to play up that alienation? That's good use of foreign language in a fic! If the characters are speaking pigeon, or an amalgam of several languages, but there's enough context that no translation is actually needed? Good use! Other than those, I think you need to write in one language at a time.

19. First fandom you wrote in?

Wrote in? Probably either The Vampire Chronicles or Heathers.Posted online for? Daredevil.

20. Favorite fic you've written?

Both of my Prey fics, but Lucid Inescapable Rhythms slightly more. It's my least popular fic, for a ship with a total of FOUR fics on AO3 but I'm just super happy with it. The characters were awesome to write for, the universe is weird and sad and pessimistic, the relationship makes both zero sense and perfect sense, I love it. It probably has typos tho…
