Dazai Osamu x reader
💌 Reading into the palms of isekai bullshit:
Chapter 1 💌
Summary: You were no stranger to isekai bullshit. It’s not like you had a problem with it. The genre took over the anime scene for years now but you try to stay away from thinking about how you would handle the situation. The last time you thought about inserting yourself into your favorite show you wrote a 100k word xReader fic for your favorite characters and you didn’t want to spend all your time consumed by the brainrot again. Never again, you promised yourself that was the last time you’d let the devil on your shoulder win. You clicked on chapter 1 to start the adventure over again but when you opened your eyes and saw Dazai O-FUCKING-samu getting choked by Kunikida you honestly hoped it was a dream.
Notes: Another isekai so I can play around with BSD like dolls.
💌 Word count: 3,312 💌 You Are Here | Next Chapter =>
"Nooooooo!” you screamed, throwing your phone down. Today was the day the new Bungo Stray Dogs chapter was supposed to be posted. It was but you weren’t happy about it. You finished reading it in record speed since they left both of your favorite characters in a pretty heavy cliffhanger only to shift the perspective to someone else. It wasn’t a bad chapter, you just didn’t like the idea that you’d now have to wait another month. You sighed falling back on to your bed. The waiting was nothing new but your brain wanted more. More adventures, more side stories, heck at this point you might as well reread the damn thing. You’ve been scrolling through tumblr reading as many plot analysis and character breakdowns to the point where you feel like you know everyone like the back of your hand. Everyone feels so real to you like you’ve known them all your life, almost like in another life you were all friends or maybe you were a part of the agency. You laughed to yourself as you picked your phone back up. The rain outside would be nice ambient noise to start the manga over once again.

—
“Dazai I swear if this was one of your planed double suicides I’m going to kill you!” a voice rang out. You could still feel the cold sensations of floating in water. What were you doing a moment ago and why did those voices sound familiar to you? The last thing you remember was starting over your beloved manga from chapter 1. You didn’t leave the house and none of your friends had keys to get in. Why were there people in your bedroom and why do you feel cold and wet?
“I assure you if it was, me and this lovely lady would already be dead but unfortunately Atsushi here ruined that miracle for me.”
You choked, it finally hit you. You did, in fact, recognize those voices “D-Dazai?” When your vision came too you were in Atsushi’s lap as Kunikida was shaking his partner. This couldn’t be real. No this had to be a dream. Dammit you could see it now, once you woke up you were going to write another Stray Dogs isekai. You internally groaned. What have you done?
“Ah so sleeping beauty’s awake!” Dazai tapped the blonde’s wrist to get his attention. “Kunikida as a gentleman you should ask her if she’s alright and stop strangling me.”
Reluctantly the blonde did as he was told and let go, gracefully kneeling in front of you “Are you alright my colleague said you were floating in the river?” his eyes were full of concern. It made a warm feeling bloom throughout your body. Honestly you could get used to this. Wait, did he just say you were floating in the river?
You looked dazed, glancing around to see the familiar riverbank that Atsushi starts at during the very beginning of Bungo Stray Dogs. You looked at your hands. You were still wearing the same clothes you had before you remember falling asleep, admittedly they were much soggier than you remember but you had no memory of how you ended up in the river. Just from the small scene in front of you this was how episode 1 started. If you played along maybe you’d eventually wake up. You’ve had lucid dreams before, it wasn’t too far fetched but the ache in your heart didn’t want you to wake up. Finally you looked up at Kunikida who was patiently waiting for your answer but before you could respond your stomach growled. How embarrassing, now it really was like how the episode played out.
Dazai keeled over laughing “I guess introductions can wait till we get something to eat, how about that?” He offered you a hand over his partner's shoulder to help you up. You snapped out of your haze staring at it a moment before you grabbed his hand and said “I think that’s for the best.”
What have you gotten yourself into?
At dinner Atsushi spent no time at all stuffing his face as Kunikida and Dazai bantered back and forth. Dialogue you remembered from when you watched the show originally. You forgot how furious Kunikida was over the whole ordeal and you felt bad knowing what Atsushi was going to say next. He really needed a hug and you know what you can finally do that with your circumstances but maybe not right now.
“I came to Yokohama straight from the orphanage. I’ve had nothing to eat and nowhere to sleep since. I thought I’d starve to death.”
“You came from an orphanage?” Dazai questioned. He was sitting across from you casually and despite being hungry you noticed that he didn’t order anything to eat. You had ordered one out of solidarity. You’ve always wanted to try tea on rice but never bothered trying to find a place that makes it in your area. Atsushi was already on his twelfth bowl or so as he continued the conversation.
“I was yes but they kicked me out.”
“Sounds like a real philanthropic organization.” Dazai turned his attention from Atsushi to you “How about you? Remember anything now?” He rested his head on the back of his hands. You wanted to hold them.
You nodded looking down at your hands. That’s when you got an idea. “I think my name is (Y/N), (Y/N) (L/N). Still trying to work out how I got in the river but,” you paused raising your hands to your face slightly. Your mom had read tons of books about palm reading. Maybe this could be your chance to use what little knowledge you remember to your advantage. “I don’t know this might sound silly but do you mind if I see your hands?”
Dazai tilted his head to the side before he offered you his palms “What brought this on?” You pretended to inspect the lines ghosting over them with your fingers tracing some of them lightly. “When I looked at my hands I had this voice in my head that told me that I could read palms. Mine were kind of fuzzy so I wanted to see if I could read someone else’s” You pretend to see flashbacks, blinking and tensing up for added effect. He played along, chuckling to himself “Well what do you see?”
You forced a careful expression on your face slowly sparing him a glance “A lot you’d rather I not say out loud.” You move to hold his hands in yours giving him a loving squeeze and smile “Odasaku would be proud of you though.” The look he gave you was sharp, his lips in a tight line hearing the name. Before either of you could really finish the exchange Kunikida piped up.
“Dazai we’re not a couple of do good-ers going around helping hard luck cases. We’ve got a job to do.” Kunikida nudged the other with his book. He clearly didn't believe in your charade. You could fix that “Actually I have a feeling I might be able to help with your case if you let me see your hands too.” He gave you a wary look as you made grabby hands at him “Please I swear I’ll explain once I see everyone’s hands.” Dazai gave him a cautious expression but Kunikida gave in. Probably to get it over with so he could go back to work. This time you didn’t try to trace patterns on his palm like you did to Dazai. “Wow, I’ve never seen someone so traumatized by the color blue before.” as he made a choked noise, you turned to Atsushi. “Okay your turn.”
“Do I have too?”
“Yes, otherwise I’ll be missing a piece of the puzzle and Kunikida and Dazai might think I'm a threat." Atsushi slowly presented them to you. "You see, they're with the Armed Detective Agency and currently they're looking for a white tiger. You know the one that's been "chasing" you." You said "chasing" in air quotes letting go of his hands to do the gesture making sure to give a nod to Dazai about the tiger thing.
In Atsushi’s panic he knocked over his chair and a couple of bowls as he tried to crawl away. You watched the scene play out as Kunikida pinned him to the floor and the interrogation started. You sat patiently as Atsushi was then asked if he was free to be bait. Dazai hadn't taken his eyes off of you letting Kunikida handle Atsushi. Maybe you did go too heavy handed into this.
“Forget it no way!”
You tried to ignore Dazai's gaze and laughed at Atsushi’s outburst trying to lighten the mood. “I don’t know Atsushi. If it’s after you I feel like this is the perfect opportunity to get it off your back for good. What if I tagged along? Strength in numbers right?” He stood up and defended himself “That doesn’t make it better! I’m not doing this okay. I know what you’re thinking, you’re planning to use me as bait-”
“There’s a reward you know.”
From there Atsushi’s fate was sealed and you all made your way over to the warehouse. You waited around for hours, everyone keeping to themselves. You spent the time trying to plan out how you'd explain yourself to Dazai. You could still feel his cautious gaze on you despite him reading his book. You’ve always wanted his attention but not like this. You especially didn't want to be on his shit list. As soon as Atsushi opened his mouth you sighed in relief.
Finally, it's showtime.
It’s not like you’d actually be of any help, you just needed to make sure you didn’t die or get in the way. “Guess that’s my cue to leave, I’ll go find Kunikida and the others.” Dazai only smirked and continued to monologue to Atsushi who would not remember the speech later. You casually strode out of the warehouse seeing the others already surrounding the building, hearing the ruckus inside. You didn’t speak, only waved them in as you made your way back to Dazai seeing that the dust had already settled and Atsushi was already on the ground. After everyone else got to take a jab at him the brunette finally spoke.
“I’ve already made my decision. We’re going to make them one of us.” Dazai’s stare made you freeze up. It makes sense to you, keep your friends close but your enemies closer. Not that you were his enemy but you've already proven you don't have an ability. Your little trick worked on him so you weren't gifted and that probably was the worse part. He doesn't know what your intentions are nor what the extent of your talents were and he couldn’t nullify you even if he tried. He was probably evaluating your level of threat to him, the agency or both.
His eyes were staring into your soul. It was so alluring but you couldn't help the fear that was settling in knowing what he was capable of. Well part of it was fear and part of it was intrigue. Why did he have to also be so damn attractive. Your face felt hot but you couldn't look away. You dug your grave now you'd have to lay in it. The whole way back to the dormitory he was guiding you from the small of your back. In any other circumstance the presence of his hand on such a place would have you swooning because that is peak protective boyfriend behavior but instead it was almost threatening like he was trying to make sure you couldn’t run away. However another part of your brain, the demented part, was screaming louder than any of the other voices in your head because it finally hit you that holy shit they were here. This all felt so real and you were playing with fire.
You made sure to keep up with what was happening, keeping your emotions in check enough to make sure your face or your body language didn’t give anything away. You and Atsushi were given some spare clothes and a cell phone. They only had one room available right now since the other one was being used as storage. They would have it cleared in a day or two. Atsushi tried to give the available one to you but Dazai stepped in and assured him that he'd personally see to it that you were taken care of. Kunikida was actually surprised that Dazai was willing to put in some level of work settling the accommodations. Little does he know what the brunette had in mind. It sent shivers down your spine for all the wrong reasons. When everything was settled Dazai opened the door to his apartment gesturing for you to go inside.
Once you stepped in you took off the shoes the agency just gave you. You had almost forgotten that when you woke up at the river, just like Atsushi, you didn't have any shoes on. No one questioned your strange attire either but you guess after everything they’ve seen it wasn’t the weirdest thing they’ve experienced in their lifetimes. Standing at the doorway to the small room you were waiting for Dazai to direct you where to set your new things down. His futon was still spread out on the floor and the table near its side still had the slight mess of empty bottles and cans. Once you heard the sound of the door’s lock you swallowed hard unintentionally snapping you back to the gravity of the situation. You were alone in a room with ex demon prodigy, Osamu Dazai.
"You can put that over in the corner." His voice rang in your ear. He was looming over you. He didn't even make a sound crossing the room; he just appeared behind you in a second. You did as you were told, trying to calm down your increasing heart rate. You knelt down to set it on the floor but as you stood back up you staggered back against the wall with Dazai towering over you again.
"You want to tell me who you really are?" He smiled carefree as if he wasn't using his height to corner you. You took a breath relaxing against the wall. His hands were behind his back yet you felt trapped. "I don't work for anyone if that's what you're getting at. I didn't lie about who I was earlier but I didn't need you to show me your hands. Technically I already saw it when you offered to help me up, that is, your past with the port mafia. I genuinely didn't know that was something I could do. That's why I asked to see your palms a second time, it didn’t sit right with me. That's why I asked for you to willingly give me your hands. I'm sorry I brought up oda but it was either him or the hot redhead you call hat rack." You gave him a knowing look that you made the right choice of who to name drop.
He grimaced when you called Chuuya hot. It seemed mentioning him caused him to lose all hostility in his demeanor. Interesting. He must believe you then. "So what do you know?" Dazai seemed to relax enough to sit on the futon. You followed after him since the tension dispersed. "Well since this bit," you moved to grab his hand to point out the part of his palm "is covered in bandages. I only know generally how you met Mori to the present day. I don’t know everything, just little blips here and there that were significant. I didn't look at Kunikida for that long but the Azure king popped up and I knew Atsushi was the tiger all along. Although it wasn't my place to get involved the way I did. Again I apologize." You caressed his hand with your thumb. He was watching you like a hawk. You were looking down thinking if there was anything else you should mention. Hopefully this was enough.
He hummed taking it in for a second before he pulled your arm while pushing your shoulder back, pinning you underneath him. "Are you scared of me? Knowing what I've done." He smirked playfully but his eyes were serious. If he wanted to play games you knew how to combat him. Or at least you think this would be an adequate counter to whatever he was doing now. You smiled "Quite the opposite. I trust you with every fiber of my being." Your words caused his eyes to dilate and his body to tense before he situated himself to further hover over your shorter frame. "Really now, even like this?" His expression dripped with lust as he dipped to whisper in your ear "I could have my way with you if I wanted." An empty threat clearly.
"You definitely could but you won't." You said it so matter of factly he shifted to look at you again. You used your freehand to caress his cheek giving him a soft smile "You have my unconditional trust. The position we're in changes nothing, ya womanizer." The source material never went into detail about Dazai’s past relationships. Only that he’s made women cry and that Chuuya knew of every single last one of them but he’s done his fair share of over the top flirting throughout the series. You just had to steel your nerves and out bluff the conman.
"Does it now?" He hummed giving you a mischievous grin as his hand delicately released its grip on yours sliding down to your wrist. His fingers pressing into your skin trying to find your pulse. Your eyes widened as you realized what he was doing. Your demeanor broke as you squirm underneath him. It was too late, you could see the pleased expression grace his features "Someone should be a little more honest with themselves." He leaned in making your noses touch. You could feel his hot breath on your lips before he pulled away. "Buuuuut you're right, I won't." He abruptly broke the trance you were in sitting up releasing his hold on you making you feel breathless. Your heart was still racing. Curse this attractive waste of bandages.
"You can take the room! I'll be off to-" He started off cheerily but you reached out to grab his arm. "Nope. As gentlemanly as you are, you can't fool me. Don't flatter yourself. Yes, I find you attractive but I'm not that desperate. Just stay, we’re both adults." You pretended to gasp covering your mouth "Or are you running away because you're all hot and bothered?" You gave him a smirk waiting to see how he’d react. Two could play at this game. He frowned slightly at your challenge. You knew his signature move was running away from every uncomfortable moment he’s caused but if he backed down from your challenge now you'd win and Dazai doesn’t like to lose. So you shared the futon and you slept with Osamu Dazai.

Season 3 Ramble#11 - No Love Lost
Greetingsx3 Welcome to another episode of MM..MANGA, the podcast about getting more people into more manga… though if i’m being honest this episode isn’t really intended to get people into any series… not even on some reverse psychology shit
but before I get into the ramble, what it’s all about and how it’s gonna go down… I have yet another guest on with me today so I'll let her do a small intro
Name - Ajoni
Fav manga & anime - Yakuza Fiance & Mob Psycho
Youtube Channel -
Now... what this episode is about, the title alludes to it but the point this month was to try to read things we didn’t think we’d like or already knew we didn’t like but give them a quick run back to see if we still didn’t like them... why?? We’ll get to that after we’re through. As for how this ramble is gonna go..
First we’ll each mention 3 manga we read for the first time because we thought we wouldn’t like them. Talking about the least 3 hated, least hated to most hated.
Then, 3 manga we spun the block on to see if we still thought they were ass, again least hated to most hated.
Finally we kinda just spitball about shit we hate in manga, our most hated manga, stuff like that...
[ok so usually we'd both go really hard and give all the details but we both felt that giving all that time and effort things you don't like isn't good for you, which reflects here in the transcript but trust it was a good ramble and we had fun so listen in if this transcript is a bit too sparse for you]
First Time
Ajoni
2) Komi can’t communicate
thought it would be loser guy, hot girl but it was actually cute.
1) Please don’t toy with me miss nagataro
loser guy, hot girl(?). read two chapters. gross.
[couldn't stomach reading anything else after this lol]
Me
3) Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi
I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THE EXORCISTS!!!... that being said this turned out to be a comedy so i dig it and will be loosely following it.
2) Kagurabachi
They made a Korean revenge flick into a movie and shonen heads are calling it peak... i dig swords tho so I'll be following loosely...
1) Make the exorcist Fall in love
actually the best out of all three plot wise but i have it here as the most hated cause the pacing is super wack to me... i explain it better in the ramble... but i will definitely finish this.
Spin the block
Ajoni
1) Prison School
Saw the first volume cover and she had just tried "don't toy with me" so she decided she has free will and doesn't need to do this or anything she doesn't like. [...real...]
Me
3) Orient
My initial problem was that they seem to be starting way too strong like close to the level where magi ended (same creator), and i knew it could only escalate from there so i dropped it. I was more prepared going in but it still didn't have any pull idk...
2) Magico
.... listen to the ramble...
1) Fairy Tail
enough has been said.... let's move on...
so a brief pause to touch on why we'd do this to ourselves... I'm of the firm belief that if I claim to like or dislike something i should be able to communicate why with more than just "peak" or "mid". If I'm only ever reading things I think I'd like it's easier to box myself into a certain way of thinking and thus communicating. In any case, breaking the mold every now and then by actually taking a close look at things I don't like not only helps more accurately describe why I don't like them, because of the contrast, it further helps more clearly define why exactly I do like the things I like "because there's no this" or "this but without that".... in any case you never know what new things you'll find and love in all that muck out there... or something lol..
Spitballing
basically we both hate the loser guy hot girl lane, rent a girlfriend came up, don't toy with me again, uzaki even though not really loser guy the girl is definitely some sort of bait.... as for the animanga community, we wish more people would carve out their own unique tastes instead of whatevers the top 10 of the season and wish newer fans would look past the lack of stamina and check out older stuff that inspired the things they love today...
and that was pretty much it, then there's some post ramble ramblings you'll definitely have to listen in for.
If you've read all the way to here then i hope you enjoyed and hope you have a good one 🛐

名探偵コナン 第100話 !!
I watched 名探偵コナン episode 100 today!! :D
I still need to put in much more work into my listening comprehension and vocabulary but for now, this is a nice milestone. In this post I want to share my experiences.
What I did
I not only watched these episodes, I also worked my way through the subtitles. I changed my approach over time but it looked basically like this:
reading subtitles and looking up words (on my computer)
putting words and phrases into Anki for later review (details below)
watching the episode (via BluRay)
(repeat process with the next episode)
Unfortunately, I wasn't very consistent. Most of the time I didn’t manage to finish the whole process for one episode per day (I'm working full-time). Sometimes I watched several episodes a day (before reading the subtitles) and sometimes I didn't watched any episode for a few days or even weeks.
I wanted to be more consistent but working through one episode took more time than I thought. Plus, on some days I just wanted to do something different like reading a novel or manga or listening to a podcast in Japanese. “All Conan all the time“ would have been more beneficial for my listening comprehension (for this series) but I needed the variety.
Difficulty
Many Japanese learners recommend to start with slice of life anime to train your listening comprehension and I agree. But since I don’t really like slice of life and because I love 名探偵コナン I watch it despite the fact that my listening comprehension and vocabulary is not strong enough yet. So this choice obviously comes more from the heart than the brain. XD
I’ve read somewhere that after around 20 or 30 episodes, understanding a series becomes easier because at this point one is quite familiar with the regular vocabulary. With 名探偵コナン my experience is “a bit different“. (If it was easier for you, please tell me your secrets :D)
Even after 100 episodes it feels by no means easy. I understand some parts but most of the time I still struggle and miss a lot (even though I understood the subtitles). However, I also learned a lot along the way. Some episodes were less complex than others and I was able to understand most of what the characters said. This gave me hope that over time I will understand more and more of the complex episodes, too.
(There are several reasons but) one reason why this series is challenging is the wide range of topics: business/economy, crime/police, finance/money, law, medicine, traffic, chemistry, art, cinema/ TV, sport, music, botany/plants, and maybe even some more I don’t remember right now.
To comfortably watch this series you not only need to know the crime-related and daily-life vocabulary, but also a ton of words from other areas as well.
The topic changes with every case, which makes every case a new challenge. This means, learning words from this episode doesn’t necessarily prepare you that much for the next. (I mean, not as much as by watching a series with only a few central topics.)
When I started I expected that it will become easier after 50 or 60 episodes. It was interesting to see that even after working through so many episodes I still come across quite a lot new words (depending on the topic). For example: In episode 97 I looked up 37 new words and phrases.
Let's see if it gets better after another 100 episodes. :D
Review
I gave Anki (flashcard program) another chance and it works quite well so far. Over the course of 100 episodes, I collected 546 words and phrases in my deck. These were my criteria:
word/phrase came up at least 3 times in more than one episode or case
the sentence gives me enough context
word/phrase I know in writing but not (fast enough) when listening
Reviewing these words helps me to not only recognize more words in general but also understand them fast enough while listening.
So…
… even after 100 episodes I’m still far away from understanding 名探偵コナン comfortably. Partly because I wasn’t as consistent as I wanted to be and because I didn’t listen more often to each episode. But also because this series is very challenging language-wise, so I think it’s only natural that it takes much more time. But it's not as bad as it sounds! I love that there is so much to learn. Every episode is a new challenge and a new chance to grow.
On to the next 100 episodes!
(Please note that this is only what I experienced and what I think. Your approach, experiences and preferences may be different.)

31 Days of Productivity Reading: Day five
Before: Second day of testing, third day of rehearsal. Goals for today are finish No. 6 and get through this test without my internet jumping off a bridge. I want to study... Mandarin I miss you.....
After: ギリギリ間に合った!I finished No. 6 volume three right before I had to leave the cafe today. That’s one goal for the month down! I read 22 pages over a span of one hour and fifteen minutes for a rate of one page per 3.6 minutes. That’s a little higher than the past two days, but I’m pretty sure my timer was going while I was mopping up spilled tea, so there you have it.
I feel like this volume was a real turning point in the series. We had so many important scenes this volume that lay the groundwork for the story to come. I wish I could mention what they are, but instead I’ll just tell you that if you haven’t read No. 6 (or seen the anime, which is still good despite being extremely truncated), you should absolutely do so! I have to admit that there were parts where Nezumi got on my nerves, though. He’s such an edgy little bastard, as much as I love him. Shion, on the other hand, is my little darling and can do no wrong. I do want to continue on with the series soon, but I've got too much to read this month so I'll save it for either next month, or the end of this month if I miraculously manage to finish everything else I plan to.
And now I’m READY, I’m so ready to jump in and catch up with some manga series. Since I mentioned it recently, the first volume I’ll be tackling is 僕らの地の歩き方 volume five followed by 光が死んだ夏 volume four. I swear I’ll get to ウツボラ this month, it’s a goal of mine! Maybe this weekend…
There's a chance I'll pick up ぼくちき before bed, but it's not looking super likely so I'll consider my times solid for right now.

Okay. Cool. That’s good to know. A part of me figured that was the case but since that everything purely said ‘Ask box closed’ I figured I’d better be safe than sorry and should wait until you opened it up again. And I’m so sorry that someone sent in that spoiler with a request. I really do hate that. And that’s great to hear that you slept so amazingly ☺ Gods, me too. I have this weird thing where I absolutely have no idea how much sleep I actually need beause I’m always tired, even if I sleep more than normal. Sure, I feel slightly more refreshed, but still hella tired. Okay. I’ll try to come up with everything I thought of saying at the time and will send it next time you respond to our DMs. And thank you so much for saying that. It most definitely was a great chapter and I hope I have good enough thoughts to add onto everything you’ve already said about it. Oh I see. That makes sense. I also usually go for those kinds of things and rarely watch purely romantic series, unless they’re recommended to me or they’re said to be really good. It really is. I finished A: TLA a few days ago and cried so much at the end. And I hope that you also get the chance to rewatch it at some point and I’d love to hear your thoughts on it when the time comes. I immensely enjoyed rewatching A: TLA and it’s funny beause even though it’s been a while that I’ve watched it before , I still knew a lot of everything concerning the story but that didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the moments. Like I still cried at another emotional scene a few episodes before the end beause it really is just so beautiful. I just started the last season of Demon Slayer that’s out today and I’m just in awe of the animation and how it looks and it’s making me emotional. I’m really so grateful that a series as good as that has such a beautifully well done adaptation. Couldn’t ask for anything more and hope that they continue doing it justice until the very end, though I have a feeling they will.
Thank you. I managed to get through everything I didn’t get the chance to read yet today, as you may have noticed 😅 And I enjoyed all of them and have written my thoughts down for them, though I feel like they’ll probably look quite repetitive 😅 Yeah, fandom is amazing like that. I’m really grateful for that and the way that they write all of the wikis. Yeah, one of the filler arcs in Bleach is really weird and I never rewatch that one. Oh that’s nice to know. And it’s also cool to know that they also translated the songs. Were they sung by the English voice actors or something?
It really was and luckily, now that I’ve restarted my computer again since it was being really slow, it’s gone back to how it used to be. And that could be. And thank you for calling the explanation clear. And that sounds good. I hope you get to read it beause one of the matches centres on some of my favourite babies and I really do hate that they messed up the adaptation like that. At least I’ll always have the manga, though it still sucks 😭 Yeah. And the fourth season still has some really well-done scenes, and there’s this scene of another kind of fave that I haven’t mentioned at all, that appears in that season, and they have like this really beautiful shot of his eyes. And that’s nice to know. No problem at all. Even though I probably won’t rewatch the movies, I do really appreciate that they animated those extra scenes beause they’re all important in their own way. Shame can’t be said for some later stuff and I know Covid had something to do with the second half on the fourth season, but the movie of this year and those OVA’s from many years ago have no excuse so yeah, it’s still a shame (I know I’m being really salty here so sorry for that). The chapter limitation really does suck, especially because both were really easy to get through for me, someone who doesn’t read as fast so I hope that you do get to read both on your normal app one day. Yeah, me too. Like even though I do have my faves that I’ve talked to you about, I still love all of the characters and am so proud of the growth that certain ones went through and it’s just all so nice. Like even my non-faves make me emotional. And yeah, especially those. Like the other boy I’m not normal about has such noticeable flaws and is such a silly boy (like I call him silly so often while rewatching some of his scenes) but he’s such a well-made character that you can’t help but love him.
Oh I’m so sorry to hear that and I can’t blame you for being upset by it. I hope at least that that character has good reasons or something. I’m also scared now, but also kind of intrigued to see it all. And true and that’s really nice. And you’re amazing for that. Glad to see that I’m not the only one who likes justified text. And no problem at all 😄 I’m doing pretty alright. Like I said, I watched some Demon Slayer today, which put me in a good mood but my mum was really judgemental about a certain thing concerning my dad which was so horrible to hear sine it was during dinner time so I just had to sit there and listen to everything she had to say, especially since I couldn’t come up with enough stuff to counter her. It really is always so painful to have to hear her comments about all kinds of things but I won’t let it keep me down because I know I have your writing to look forward to and many great anime and all kinds of stuff. Just couldn’t help but mention it. Hope you’re doing amazing and that the writing is going great 😊
C
I know you had figured that and I think it’s really sweet of you to be concerned about bothering me! You’re never a bother though and I enjoy seeing you in the inbox 😊Thanks – that one was rough as I’ve done amazing at avoiding Jujutsu Kaisen spoilers (blacklisted the general tag until I’m completely finished the manga read just to make sure of that). Though, just saying – I called that one way back in our messages but ouch, rough yeah, for both being spoiled and for what it said happened. I need way more sleep than the four to six hours I’m lucky to get a night. I’m horrible in being a super light sleeper where every little sound wakes me up though, even with my pills being in me. Caffeine is my best friend in all forms (coffee, energy drinks, caffeine infused chocolate or my favourite, chocolate covered espresso beans, even caffeine pills if the insomnia is really bad…yeah, I know, I’ll probably die of a heart attack from all the caffeine guys but adult life sucks and requires you to stay awake). Sounds good! I’m hoping to get a reply to our dm’s off maybe this weekend in between writing other things, where I have a weekend off. I can definitely get checking out series that are recommended to you, even if they’re not what you’d normally watch. I recently paused watching my other shows to binge through Mashle because it came highly recommended by two people I trust, even though it seemed like it would be just a blatant rip-off of One Punch Man. Turns out they were right and I loved it. I hope it will be that for you with the romance series when you do watch it through! The ending of A:TLA was definitely worthy of the crying and I remember crying quite a bit throughout that show. I loved Iroh, but I really had a soft spot for Azula and things got real rough for my girl around the end of the show. I felt horrible for her, I really did. I’m so glad that you enjoyed your rewatch of it, that it could still hit you in all the right ways despite knowing what was coming. When you say last season, do you mean this is it? It will wrap everything up completely or is there a plan for more (like a spin-off or anything) after this season or a follow-up like Naruto: Shippuden? I’m so glad the last season is starting out so well though and I’m with you in hoping it will continue to be beautifully done right up until the end, and not just because it’s high on my watch list.
I noticed and appreciated all the likes and am happy you enjoyed them all! And I never find your thoughts repetitive and am always really glad to hear your thoughts on my posts! Comments are always wonderful and motivating! I hate the Bount arc for Bleach and when I do get the urge to watch it, I always skip that arc, since it’s pure filler anyway! I’m pretty sure it’s all the English VA’s singing the songs but I noticed about halfway through season 2 there were some songs they didn’t translate and upon googling it, it looks like sometimes it’s hard to get the permissions needed to translate and revoice those songs. Either way, the music is really solid all through the show!
I’m glad your computer has gone back to how it should be and hopefully isn’t running super slow anymore! It definitely was clear and it helps me know what to expect. I’m someone who likes to get every single moment, so even if the movies are a lot of recycled stuff, I still need to watch them. Oh no! It sucks that your favourite didn’t really get what they should have when it came to the anime adaptation. I know how that feels and it sucks big time! I hadn’t even actually thought about the impact Covid would have had on animators and studios! A lot of what came out during that time would make more sense if they couldn’t really all do their work successfully from home, I guess. And hey, no, please feel free to be salty. Everyone has things they’re salty about, even me, and it’s cool that you feel comfortable enough with me to feel safe getting salty about things. Thank you for that! And so far, all the characters are great. I was pretty sure I’d dislike Hinata going into it, because those kind of characters normally bore me but I ended up just adoring him, which is the one that surprised me the most!
Thank you! I do hope that, when I get to reading and finishing up everything for the manga, I’ll see the reasons the author went that direction and that it ends up making sense in the story. If not, I’m sticking just with writing Nanbaka up to the end of the anime seasons haha! I’m so glad you’re doing okay and that you had some good moments, though I’m really sorry to hear that about your mother. I personally am of the opinion that spouses shouldn’t bicker or pick at each other in front of their children, but I know it happens all too often. It’s awkward for the person sitting there and uncomfortable. I’m sure you did your best to defend your dad and that he appreciated it a lot! I know it’s hard but try to focus on some of the positives of your day or lose yourself in something you enjoy and don’t let her steal your joy, my dear! You deserve more than that! And thank you! I’m doing okay tonight – just got my pills into me, sitting on my couch in boxers and a comfy t-shirt, eating a McCain cake out of the tin and writing (just finished a chapter…it was supposed to be a request for a one shot little drabble about me travelling with comfort characters and now it’s bloated into a whole multi-chaptered fic, haha)!

Favorite Achievements of 2024
I don’t want to limit myself to just one achievement because I believe I’ve had a pretty good year, so I will just be listing things out as I think of them.
First of all, I am just putting the finishing touches on a whole year of using a Hobonichi Techo Weeks planner. This all started because my coworker gave me a nice blue leather case for a Weeks last year, so I went over to the then newly-opened Kinokuniya bookstore and purchased a 2024 Weeks planner. I did end up abandoning some of the features of the planner - for example, I filled out some of the monthly calendars at the front of the book and then just stopped doing that. I did prefer to fill things out in the week-to-week pages.
But another thing I did, and one I picked up from a suggestion someone made to a friend on Facebook, was use the blank grid page beside each week-to-week page in order to write down good things that happened that week. At first I was just doing that on a weekly basis, so I noticed that the good things all tended to be from the weekend. Well, sure! But there are plenty of good things happening on work days, too, so starting in April I decided to start writing down good things that happened each day. Even if all I can think of is “I listened to podcasts I really enjoy today,” I manage to get something written down, and I’ve kept that up so long that it has become a habit.
I’ve just purchased my 2025 Weeks. Well, my husband bought it for me as a Christmas gift, and once again it was purchased at Kinokuniya. I’m writing my last few good things every day. I’m bubbling in the last of the daily check-off circles at the back (I’m still mad that they didn’t put 366 bubbles - it’s not like the planner was unaware that 2024 is a leap year, after all).
I have some plans for how to use different parts of the Weeks next year. There are a lot of blank grid pages at the back that were just left unused, but there are more than 52 of those, so I want to set a page aside to write down fun things I’ve watched/read/listened to that week. I do keep some record of these things - Pocket Casts holds my podcast listening history; I can review my YouTube history; I use Anime-Planet to note what anime episodes I’ve watched and what manga chapters I’ve read; I use Storygraph for keeping a record of non-manga books I read - but those things are all scattered and I think it would be fun to have that more centrally located.
Another big achievement for me from this year was, of course, buying my car. After thinking I was going to just drive my 2012 Toyota Corolla forever and ever, an opportunity to purchase my dream car fell into my lap and I could not pass it up. It’s been four months now since I bought my 2022 Subaru Impreza and I’m still loving it. I thought I was going to be taking it on a long road trip to see family for Christmas, but those plans fell through because my aunt (who was going to host) injured her knee, so we stayed in town for the holidays. But I did use it to drive my mom and husband to a Christmas party and it did great in that regard. I am looking forward to more and more experiences with it in 2025 - including my first maintenance visit!
In 2024, I also began to attend Pokemon TCG pre-release events. I first heard about these from CandyEvie on Youtube, who talked about going to one and having a great time even though she lost all of the games she played. I have now been to four different events at three different card shops. My record in them is not great - I’m usually at or near the very bottom of the standings among registered Masters Division players - but that really doesn’t matter. It’s fun to play with the 40-card decks, see the different kinds of swag people have (play mats especially) and get a feel for different shops in my area. I tend to carry my dice and coins in a little tin case that looks like a storybook and has Cardcaptor Sakura on it. Do you know how many compliments I’ve gotten on that tin?! SO many. And it was truly just an impulse purchase I made at JapanFest 2023.
I’m looking forward to attending more pre-release events in 2025. I’m even hoping to take my husband with me…because another achievement of the year is that I got him into TCG. He has been unable to work since October due to a wrist injury caused by a car accident, so he’s looking for things to do to occupy his time while he heals, and he asked me about TCG. I told him to download TCG Live and play that first in order to learn how the game works, which is the way I did it before starting to go to in-person events. He took to that like a Quaxly to water and is actually playing TCG Live right now as I write this. We’ve also purchased pre-built 60 card decks that serve as good ways to play physical cards. So, I am hoping that he’ll want to go with me to pre-release events next year!

Hello Miloslav! (●’◡’●)ノ
How are you? Hoping you've been well!
I was wondering when did you get into hetalia? (ノ´∀`*) Do you have any other medias you're obsessed with?
Also can totally relate to never stop talking! I feel like I talk all the time!
Anyways, have a terrific day! -🪽
Oh wow hi! I’ve been doing well, been spending a lot of time with my family lately as I’m visiting back home!
Actually, the story on how I got into Hetalia incredibly funny, so anyways all the way back in late 2018, I had been staying up all night and watching anime clips, I think I was watching the black Butler dub outtakes and then I stumbled upon the first episode of Hetalia. You have to fully understand it was very late at night and running into the first episode of Hetalia, my reaction was “welp, it’s time to go to bed, this is enough Internet for today”. I legitimately thought that I was so sleep deprived that I had dreamed it, but lo and behold the first episode of Hetalia is very real. Honestly, ever since then I’ve loved it, I owed all the manga that has been printed and have watched the anime multiple times through. Hetalia combines two of my favourite things, very absurdist humour and history. Luckily, I had escaped the very toxic time of the fandom, tbh it’s honestly very chill comparative to what I’ve heard it was.
As for any other media that I’m interested in, fallout has always been one of my special interest, but now that there is a TV show, let’s just say this within the months that it has been released. I have watched it five times fully through. Even though I haven’t finished it yet Criminal Minds is some thing that I’m watching right now, gotta love Spencer. Less so now but at its height, I absolutely loved gravity Falls and I still do, it hold a very special place in my heart. I also love the owl house, which makes sense given that Alex help create it. Less media like TV I love portal, it was actually the first video game on my computer that I ever played, I also absolutely love TF2, though I have not played it in a very long time(my main was medic). To be blatantly honest hetalia is really the only anime that I’m fully got into, right now I’m reading the first few chapters of one piece, I am planning to make the venture of reading the whole thing, so wish me luck on that. Also, I wanted to add this I also very much love Welcome to the table by Ben Brainard, very much in the similar vein as Hetalia. The first one of those videos I got really popular was his Louisiana one, my home state, the whole comment about drive-through daiquiris made me laugh so hard. Fun fact, not counting the times I took the eucharist as a child, the first time I drink alcohol was when I was 15 and it was completely legal for me to do it! Yeah, Louisiana has some of the looses liquors law.

Oh ew the OF accounts and sex bots are completely getting out of hand. I haven’t been notified of any new followers but I don’t trust tumblr to do so. I’m have to gonna check on that soon 🙄🙄.
And seriously for what reason are people flagging down your works for like 😭😭?? It literally makes no sense??? Some people are so rude and mean and spiteful for no reason like. Do better or screw off unintentionally quoting Ego here I’m sorry that this happened to you, it really sucks.
Ever since break started I’ve been in a kind of limbo. It feels so surreal not having any work to do. I mean I do have basic chores to do today like the laundry and vacuuming and stuff but besides that it’s a free day. I am. Very very very. Temped to start reading the blue lock manga. I know I said I’d wait for the anime to finish but like I need something to do 😭😭. I was starting my first TR reread since the last chapter but I only got in 3 chapters before I started sobbing and I haven’t even gotten to Akkuns first death or met Mikey and Draken for the first time again yet. I’m gonna have to chunk my way through it while sobbing and taking so many breaks because I will seriously never recover from this manga. OH AND I LOVE CHIFUYUS BIRTHDAY ART. Wakui continuing to attest that yes takefuyu are still canon in the reset timeline. It’s such a relief for me because those two are my comfort duo 😭😭😭. I also want to finish Chainsaw Man soon. I stopped at around volume 9 because I’m broke and was reading it at the bookstore and all I can say is that this series is definitely getting a reread cause I love analyzing strange works and concepts. THE MAITAKE COVER ASJKGFJKHFFGGG. The way I screeched when I first saw it like. I love how you worded it, they literally look like royalty together UGH. Suffice to say that yes maitake fans has a field day with the cover of volume 31 😌😌. I cant wait for the inside cover to be revealed. My prediction/demand is that it’s gonna be then as children childhood-friends-to-lovers. But I guess we’ll see.
Anyways. How are you Belle? Doing better I hope? How’s uni? Oh and when does your winter break start? How’s life? Im so happy tumblr is being cooperative now and letting you see my tagged posts 😭😭. Sorry for the constant tagging tho, there’s just so much I wanna share and I see something and I’m like “oh I wanna show this to Belle” you know? Oh and im so glad you liked that Oliver drabble 🥹🥹. I’ve got another one in mind for him but this time it might be a little more ✨spicy✨ so stay tuned 👀👀😌. I hope you have a great day and that the caramel frappuccino tasted great!!! *sending many virtual hugs*

Istg- i got followed by accounts from Czechia and Carolina this morning. Alright, I made my pinned post of Gojo's OF account but this is a writing blog; not even an OF promotion blog (╥﹏╥) unless... i draw some stuff
Tumblr decided to not let me post my rant- so here’s what I had to say
I revisited my childhood with watching DBZ... (i knew i said i would start one piece but the gym bro-ness got the better of me and i started watching it) someone please explain why does Goku's voice sound... i don't know how to describe it. i was so shocked about his voice, i was planning on watching the dub instead cause of it *crying* Honestly, Wakui did a really good job with the cover. Even when I was reading mangas online - I was so awed by the covers of the manga and when TR was on its peak here, i saw a lot of spoilers for bonten mikey. I never liked mikey... but this made me change my mind. And they (like every cover character i saw up until the Brahman arc looked like royalty. Even hanma-) I'm doing well! Contemplating to change the blog theme for some reason. It's not gonna be aiku ofc- he gets 0 screen time cause he hasn't come back from italy and i am mad at him with part 1 to ocean hues I'm on my winter break actually and omw back home. Fifa knocked the wind out of me. I feel sad cause Mbappé played really well (and he was sad too when they lost), i literally went to go keep my plate and he scored in 97 seconds of the first goal T.T . But i'm also really happy for Argentina cause its the first time in 36 years since Maradona that they have won the Wc and i cried cause they were crying on the field not to mention the fact that Messi played in their team as well - so it was bittersweet ending but also very well deserved! And yes i am a football head I can't see you in my activity still (maybe your visibility switch is off? i'm not sure) but i do get the number on my activity and that's how ik that you're there (⑅ •͈ᴗ•͈ ) I actually don't mind being tagged! and I enjoy the things you have to show me as well ૮⸝⸝> ̫ <⸝⸝ ა (i saw some stuff where you tagged me- i'll be answering those soon, promise i'm not ignoring you ૮(˶˃ᆺ˂˶)ა ) I. absolutely. loved. the Oliver drabble ˃̵ᴗ˂̵. I still read it btw, cause it is absolutely precious. the deer headrest and the fact he wants to be a good boy made me go (๑✪ᆺ✪๑) did you say spicy 💀 *here lies Isabelle Aiku; beloved wife of Oliver Aiku who is unaware that he is married to her- * Starry you're gonna make me combust from the heat *sending back bear hugs*
*my man is so handsome (>﹏<) and yours is too*

Unpleasant Pleasantries
Rohan Kishibe x JosukeSister!Reader
Trigger Warning: inappropriate stand use, mild suggestive themes
Rohan thought this to be the perfect opportunity to get back at that imbecile with the hair of a 60’s delinquent, but instead found something more fulfilling than revenge.
It was your first time meeting the famous mangaka, but Koichi insisted that you introduce yourself to the newly found stand user as a formality.
~
“It’s better to make friends than enemies, y/n! So please do this for me.” He begged, clasping his hands tightly together as he bowed.
“Koichi-chan, he ripped out pages from your face and tried to do the same to Okuyasu and Josuke. I don’t know if I trust this guy.” You sighed, nervous and even a little scared.
“It’ll be fine, when you tell him you’re related to Josuke, he won’t even think about trying anything!” Koichi’s eyes glistened, still silently begging you to go.
“Fine, but if I don’t show up back home in an hour, call Josuke please.” Koichi nodded enthusiastically, shouting thank yous while he ran off to find your brother.
~
Thanks to the written address Koichi had given you, it was easy to find the large Victorian mansion that belonged to the isolated artist.
“Come on, y/n. You can do this. Just a quick hello and you’re done.” You tried to psych yourself up, taking one last deep breath before approaching the walkway that led up to the door.
Knock Knock
You waited, your heart rate a bit too quick for your liking.
You could hear the steps on the other side slowly approaching and suddenly stopping, only to find the door creak by.
“Now who would be disrupting the Great Rohan Kishibe?” The man spoke in a sinister tone, swinging the door open.
Rohan Kishibe looked nothing like how you expected him to. He was built slim but still toned, his green hair neatly styled and face slim and sharp with a cute dolphin bandage placed on the bridge of his nose. His green eyes stared at you intently, as if he was trying to analyze your face as well.
“I-I’m really sorry I didn’t mean to cause you any trouble. My friend Koichi wanted me to introduce myself. I’m Y/N Higashikata. I’m a stand user and I go to school with the rest of the boys.” You stammer out, guilt hitting you for interrupting the presumably busy manga artist.
The man eyed you with a devilish smirk, clapping his hands together like he had discovered something amusing.
“You’re Josuke’s little sister! Oh how fun! You know, you’re too cute to be related to that boy. Now please come in, I’ll make you some tea and we can talk.”
“I’m actually the same age as him, and I’d love to join you but I got... study plans with K-Koichi!” You tried to avoid his stare but as he made eye contact, you knew you had lost.
“Nonsense! I’ll give him a call and let him know you’ll be studying with me, now please come in already.” His smile grew while he pulled you into his abode by your wrists.
The house was lightly decorated with manga related memorabilia on the wood carved shelves and many original panels from famous mangas hung framed on the soft toned walls, but the home still held a grand Victorian feeling to it.
Your original unease disappeared as you took in the grandeur of the mansion and the interesting items that adorned it so carefully. Rohan smirked at the curiosity in your eyes and the quick movements they made while you focused on specific areas of his home.
“Would you like a personal tour of the property before we study? I will warn you though, not all the rooms have been styled by yours truly yet. It’s a work in progress at the moment.” The smile he bared had you suspicious again, but you didn’t want to be rude to the owner of such a magnificent estate.
“As much as I would love to, your home is absolutely stunning, I sadly only have an hour to study. My mom would kill me if I got home late again.” A hefty sigh escaped your lips and you gave him your best upset expression you could muster.
You hoped he wouldn’t key in on your lying, remembering the warning Koichi had given you about his ability to discern genuine emotions from fake ones.
The mangaka squinted his eyes for a moment, causing your heartbeat to speed up substantially, but his face returned to its usual smile that you swore held a bit of deviousness underneath.
“Oh! it’s alright, dear. I understand. I’ll save it for your next visit. Let’s get to your work now, follow me to the kitchen. I’ll prepare us something and you can take a seat by the window.” He gently took your hand, guiding you to the kitchen and carefully pulling out a seat for you at his dining room table.
A beautiful bouquet set in a hand sculpted vase caught your interest on the table as Rohan busied himself with brewing a fresh pot of tea. The flowers were bright in color compared to the muted ones of the vase, but the contrast made both appear unique and appealing to the eye.
“I see you even appreciate the smaller details of a home. Though I am a mangaka, I do dabble in other forms of artistic expression. Take pottery for example, I glazed this vase in a muted color pallet so it could stand out on its own when beautifully bright flowers were placed in it. The two compliment each other nicely, don’t they?” He set down two tea cups and began to pour.
“Yes! And I especially love the bright purples in the lillies you picked here.” You gently touched a petal, Rohan now lightly tapping his cheek, pulling out a chair for himself to sit right beside you.
His closeness and unwavering gaze brought a heaviness to your chest, making you stumble over your words.
“Um-m thank you for treating me so well and letting me study in your home, Rohan-sensei.” You began to unpack your notes and textbook, Rohan scooting closer to analyze what you had written.
“No need to thank me, my dear. Now let’s get to your studies. What is it you need to work on today?” The smile he shares with you is comforting, but you can’t help but feel like he was plotting something.
You set your pencil bag down and prepare your notebook, trying to make yourself busy by setting up.
“Biology. I’ve only just recently started going to school in person, but I tested well enough to be placed in the highest class. Today we’re supposed to label all the organs in this frog drawing.” Your tone comes off as annoyed and Rohan picks up on it, tilting his head to the side while he reads your frog diagram.
“You aren’t a fan of biology? I’ve got a few anatomy sketches of animals you could use instead of this photocopied worksheet. Maybe that will help peak your interest?” He stands and saunters out to find his sketches, leaving you alone in the kitchen.
When Rohan returns, the two of you work on your Biology homework for about an hour, finishing the entire pot of tea in the process. You found out that Rohan was quite skilled at anatomy, having an entire sketchbook dedicated to the anatomy of many living things, including the likes of frogs and flowers. He was extremely helpful and fun to talk with.
As you packed up your bag, Rohan remained seated in his chair, playing with one of the lilies from the bouquet. You weren’t sure if you should head towards the door and leave Rohan or wait for him to stand and lead you out. You were about to speak when the mangaka interrupted with a swish of his pen in your direction.
“Heaven’s Door.”
You felt a sharp shove of air to your midsection, sending you onto the floor. Every movement you attempted was futile as the grinning artist looked down at you. A deep chuckle haunted you while he leaned in closer to your face. His hands gently caressed your cheek, opening it up like a book.
“I’m sorry, y/n. You’re interesting and I’d love to learn more about you, but I’m impatient. It’ll be far easier for me to just read you. Don’t fret, my dear. I’ll make sure you don’t remember this.” He flipped through your pages, ignoring the tears that ran down onto the very paper he was trying to read.
“Now let’s just read the juicy bits today. You were hospitalized along with your brother when you were only four, a strange parasite made up of Dio’s cells attacked your immune system at age twelve and had you bedridden until fairly recently.” The curiosity he held for your story excited him, the pen he held in one hand quickly wrote onto the notepad he placed on the floor beside your head.
You felt like sinking into yourself, ignoring his quips and teases as the embarrassment of the mangaka reading your thoughts and feelings enveloped you. It wasn’t fair. Why did he have to be this way? He was so kind before and just like a flick of a switch, he changed.
“Oh, now how did you escape that? Here we are, thanks to Mr.Joestar’s Hamon lessons, you not only came back from your illness, but gained a proper stand and the ability to wield Hamon just like your father and great grandfather! Wait, what’s this new paragraph about?” He squinted closely, reading your page out loud again.
“I have to visit Rohan Kishibe today because Koichi told me to. He practically begged. Even though I’m scared, Koichi gave me his word that nothing bad would happen. Rohan Kishibe looks very different from what I imagined a mangaka to look. Well, what did you expect me to look like?” His smirk grows as he continues on.
“Ah, another new bit is here! Rohan Kishibe is very good at anatomy, he’s been kind and helpful, I’d like to get to know him better. I think Josuke was just overreacting when he called Rohan Kishibe pure evil. I could see us being friends.”
His smile disappears skimming the next sentence, his usual tone of voice changed as he starts to read. He sounded upset, hurt even.
You were the one being wronged here! Why would he get upset? He doesn’t have the right.
“Josuke was right. Rohan Kishibe is not nice, he is terribly mean. He’s using me for his entertainment. He doesn’t care. Rohan Kishibe is not kind, he is not helpful, he is cruel, I don’t want to get to know him. I want to forget him.”
“I hate Rohan Kishibe. I hope to never see him again.”
Rohan paused, looking away from your pages, trying to focus on anything else for the moment.
“W-well, I’ll just fix this last paragraph and erase it from your mind. You’re being dramatic, I’m not as terrible as you describe me.” Chuckling to himself, he tries to laugh off his obvious pain and attempts to regain his composure.
“No! I won’t let you erase my emotions!” You shouted, a wave of Hamon spreading through his arm as his pen touched your page, his attempt to rewrite your memory foiled.
The mangaka was sent flying back, his right arm dropping the pen and your face finally shutting closed, returning your ability to move. Although you were upset at the betrayal of trust you gave the man, you felt a twinge of guilt in your heart when you spotted his still form draped across the wood floor, cradling the arm you had burned with your Hamon.
Running to his side, all thoughts of malice left your body while you attempted to get a better look at his injury. His arm was still intact thankfully, but it was badly burned and needed to be set correctly and quickly if he ever wanted it to heal properly. You took a deep breath and turned Rohan over to see if he was still conscious.
“Oh god, Rohan I’m so sorry. I don’t know what happened.” Your eyes fill with tears again as you see the artist weakly rest himself against the wall, still holding his arm close to his chest.
“No, no it’s alright. I brought this on myself. I accept that.” He grimaced, trying to take a peek at his injuries but too frightened to actually check.
“You read my thoughts and history, it wasn’t right but you didn’t physically hurt me. I don’t know how that happened, but I promise you I’ll fix it.” You swore to the manga writer, now searching through your backpack.
When you found your pair of scissors, you went into full first aid mode, removing the sleeve from his right arm by carefully cutting the loose cloth off. After tossing the short sleeve to the side, you cut the bottom of the skirt you were wearing off into a long bandage-like shape of clothing and ran it under the cold tap water from the kitchen sink, returning to the injured Rohan.
“I’m going to wrap your arm with this, it won’t be painful if you let me use my stand, but I’m going to ask you first before I use her on you.” The man nodded, accepting your offer to erase the pain.
“Under Pressure. She’s a stand that has the ability to manipulate emotions. She can change them within a radius or focus on only one individual. When she focuses on a single person, she is only able to change their emotion to the opposite of what is being felt.” You began to wrap his arm, nervous about what he might feel when you placed the wet fabric loosely around it.
All Rohan could do was bite back his lip to avoid making any embarrassing sounds. Instead of the immeasurable pain he imagined to come with dressing a freshly burned wound, he felt a wave of euphoria. He now understood what you meant by the “opposite” emotion would be felt.
The artist never knew wrapping his burned arm would feel so good, every touch caused his breath to hitch in his throat and his eyes to water. It confused him, even though he understood that the opposite of pain was pleasure, it still startled him every time you did one more pass of the homemade bandage.
He tried his hardest not to be flustered, but when you finished off his arm by tieing the last bit with a knot, he let a small whimper escape his lips. His hand shot up to cover his face, it’s hue now a bright crimson.
Your cheeks turned bright pink as well. You turned away swiftly, to avoid eye contact.
“U-Um just stay put. I’m gonna borrow your phone for a second and let you catch your breath.” Scratching the side of your cheek, you stand up and make a b-line for the phone, dialing your home and hoping that Josuke would pick up. You glanced at the clock set on the wall, it read 8:15.
I’m late.
As soon as the phone line rang once, you spotted the front door to Rohan’s manor fly across the main hall. Peeking your head out from the kitchen, you see a furious Josuke with Koichi in pursuit.
“ROHAN-SENSEI! WHERE IS MY SISTER YOU CREEP?! SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HOME 15 MINUTES AGO!” He yells out, his voice echoing throughout the home.
“Josuke! I’m here! I was just about to call you. Listen, I messed up bad and hurt Rohan. He’s in the kitchen bandaged up but I need you to heal him all the way.” You run to Josuke, giving him a tight hug while trying not to cry from the stress of the situation.
Josuke squeezes you once and let’s you go, looking you over from head to toe so he could make sure you weren’t injured as well. When he spots your torn skirt, his aura radiates a dark malice you’d never seen him show before.
“Wait Josuke! I did this to myself, we didn’t have bandages so I cut some cloth.”
He looks you over again and sighs heavily, the purple hue that was full of rage, leaving him.
“Ok, fine. Where’s that jerk? I’ll fix him up real quick so we can go home.” He grumbled, following you into the kitchen.
Even though Rohan wanted to refuse any treatment from Josuke, he finally accepted the help when you threatened to cry on the spot. His arm had returned to its previous state, unburned and fully functional, thanks to Josuke and Shining Diamond.
Josuke picked up your backpack and held the now fixed front door open for you, while Rohan stood and waved goodbye. You awkwardly returned the wave and made your way back home, your thoughts chaotic and confused.
On the one hand you felt guilty for putting Rohan through such an immense amount of pain, but you were also upset at the humiliation he put you through by reading your life with Heaven’s Door. These thoughts plagued your mind as you laid your head to rest for the night.
~
It was roughly two in the afternoon when Rohan Kishibe knocked on your front door. A short but older woman answered, complaining about the loudness of the knocks when she looked over the artist.
“Oh, my apologies. You’re that Rohan Kishibe my kids talk about. How may I help you, Mr. Kishibe?” She asked with a warm tone to her voice, leaning against her door frame and smiling up at him.
“Is y/n in? I’d like to deliver this to her personally.” He spoke softly, shaking the box he held in his hands.
Your mother couldn’t help but chuckle to herself. He appeared to be anxious and uncomfortable, most likely it was his first time gifting something like this.
“She’s not home yet, but give her five minutes. Why don’t you come in? You can wait for her up in her room, just don’t go raiding her drawers or anything.” She joked, Rohan’s cheeks turning vivid scarlet.
“I’m only pulling your leg, sweety. I know you’re better than that. Now come on! Have a seat at her desk and I’ll bring you up some lemonade.” Rohan followed her inside.
When they reached your room, Mrs.Higashikata opened the door and waved her hand to your desk seat.
“Pull up that chair there and I’ll be back with some refreshments.” Her smile gleamed at him. She walked off to the kitchen, leaving the artist alone in your room.
Rohan browsed around your room, taking in the personality that was apparent by the many bits of decor that gave your little private space a peculiar style. Your walls held photos printed on Polaroid film, sketches presumably drawn by you, and posters of your favorite video games and shows.
When he glanced around your room, he was immediately caught off guard when he spotted two volumes of his very own manga, propped up and on display in your bookcase. To say he was flattered was an understatement, he was completely floored. You were a fan of his?
His heart was heavy all of a sudden, he felt a dreadful pain in his chest while he held the book in his hands. He turned his head toward the doorway when he heard your voice greet your mother. To regain himself, he quickly skimmed through the pages of the manga he was holding, hearing your distant conversation come to an end.
You entered the room. Dropping your bag at the corner of the closet, your eyes never leaving Rohan while you take a seat on your bed. The mangaka gently placed your copy of Pink Dark Boy back in its original position, turning around now to face you.
“I’d like to humbly apologize for my abhorrent behavior and actions yesterday. I was terrible. I know it might be asking too much of you, but I brought you this as a peace offering. I want us to start over. I’d like to get to know you the right way.” He passes you the box he was carrying with him, nudging you to open it.
Casually unknotting the bow and removing the lid from the bottom, you slowly lift what appears to be a white sundress out of the box. It was beautifully made and looked to be just your size.
“I know it’s not the skirt you tore, but I felt like you deserved something a little more unique.” He averts your gaze quickly when you attempt to gauge his reaction.
The mangaka appears to be flustered, apparently not very used to apologizing. His eyes held a fear of rejection but also a glimmer of hope. A breath you never knew you were holding was released with a quiet hum.
“It’s beautiful, thank you, but do know that buying me things isn’t going to repair my trust in you. We can at the very least start over though.”
Rohan smiled to himself, thankful for your empathetic nature, and nodded a quick yes.
“Now that the pleasantries are out of the way, how about we take that dress and enjoy some tea at the cafe? My treat.”

okay finished my first orv reread. i am still a broken person. actually i think it was worse the second time, knowing what was coming, so under the cut are just some thoughts...very disjointed. just very personal thoughts
for someone like me orv is indescribable. there’s a million other people with a similar story to mine - abusive household, bullied heavily in school, tried to kill themselves, found hope in a story they loved and held on to it until they could survive on their own. or maybe they couldn’t, maybe they kept holding on to that story to get them through everything.
i got lucky, in a lot of ways. my husband and i met when i was 14. his family took me in when i ran away from my abusive mother. i didn’t die when i tried to kill myself - all seven times, despite having permanent heart damage because of one of those attempts. when i was in that household, i was barely alive. and i got lucky because i found stories that resonated with me. games i loved, manga i couldn’t stop reading, anime that made me feel something. because of those stories, i was able to live. i was able to survive the horrific abuse my mother threw at me - all her insults, all the physical assaults, all of the control. i was able to keep on going because when i was alone, i could escape it. when i was reading, or playing video games, or watching something... i wasn’t me, on earth, hiding out with my dresser in front of my door in hopes my mother wouldn’t try to push past it. i was whoever i wanted to be, in whatever story i wanted. whatever story i found something in. when i say i really understand kim dokja, i really understand kim dokja. had i been left alone in my situation much longer... well, sometimes i think about if i would’ve done what he did, too.
but because of those stories, i was able to live to the point where i met kyle, where i could physically escape, where i finally could grow into my own person. i’m not joking when i say i wouldn’t be alive today if it weren’t for those stories. kyle helped me once we met, but for those first lonely years of my life?
kim dokja really resonates with me, more then any other protagonist, i think. and it’s not mean, the way the narrative treats him. it’s not cruel, the fact that he latched onto a story to survive. it’s a wonderful thing, and at the end, where they write a story of his life in order to save him once more...
i’ve had the understanding for a long, long time that people are never able to fully understand each other. that because we are different, we are living separate lives in our own realities, we can never meet each other fully. it was isolating, for a long time. this is a reason i’ve always loved twewy, since the first time i played it, btw.
but orv gives another perspective: that we are all made up of everyone who knows you. all of their thoughts of who you are, what you do, it’s all there to someone. and each of those parts combine to create a whole you. and even if they can never understand you fully, that doesn’t mean you matter any less. and i... find a lot of solace, in that. that if even if someone can’t always understand me, i am still someone worthy of their attempts. because i’m a person they love. a person worth knowing, even if it’s just that 2% difference.
and just... idk. orv is such a wonderful love letter to people like me. people who had nothing but the stories they could escape to in order to get through life. people who loved reading. who loved to listen, to hear, to consume. and the connections you can make through sharing a story with someone... it’s a way of understanding someone. you can understand someone a little bit better because of what a story means to them, how they interpret it, what they take from it. and you can use that to make friendships, lasting bonds, and it’s... a wonderful, beautiful thing.
so many of my most important relationships were forged over our shared love for a story, for a world that wasn’t our own. i know that’s the same for almost everyone in fandom. i love that orv is a celebration of that, the very thing that’s kept me going for so many years. i started writing fanfiction when i was 6, because i wanted to tell a story of characters i loved, even back then. and because of that... i am here. because of those characters, those stories, and those friends i made because of those stories, i survived. and i was able to live a so far, pretty fulfilling life.
idk. i’m just really glad. i love orv a lot. i’m glad i got to stay alive to experience it.
#mitzi.txt#/#////#/////#//////#idk man i just.#i love orv.#i love orv so much and it makes me feel like i belong on this planet#just so i can experience it#thats. pretty special. idk

Jealousy. (Extra)
You can find Jealousy here: Part One Part Two Part Three 𝑨𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒓'𝒔 𝑵𝒐𝒕𝒆 | sorry for the inactivity, i’ve been taking a break. regardless, i’m super happy because i finished most of my hw! someone wanted an extra of my fic Jealousy, so that’s what im doing. you may have noticed this isn’t very good, but i haven’t written in a while so bear with me :( 𝑷𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 | Teen! Gojo Satoru x Gender Neutral Reader 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕 | 1167 𝑾𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 | I didn’t exactly proof read this, and it’s rushed, so expect a lot of reusing of words and just overall not amazing writing. Cursing, ALL CHARACTERS HERE ARE AGED DOWN FROM PRESENT ANIME/MANGA INTO WHEN THEY WERE TEENAGERS. 𝑺𝒖𝒎𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒚 | After confessing with Gojo Satoru himself, you and him walk on the path that would lead you back to Shoko and Geto, you two take your sweet time though, savoring the sweet, new love.
Everything in your body was finally settling in. Your frazzled nerves had just begun to go away. You’re walking back to the picnic, fingers intertwined with Gojo’s. Your pounding heart had subdued. Yet, you still felt fuzzy and warm, you had pinched yourself repeatedly to make sure it wasn’t a dream earlier. The air smelled like fresh dew on grass, the scent of flowers weakly wafted in the air as well, you were drinking in the beautiful weather, enjoying the calm, quiet between the two of you. Normally, every confession of love followed suit with cheers of joy, or perhaps a kiss, but strangely, a quiet walk through the park was something you didn’t mind. Turning your attention towards Gojo, there was a slight curve to his lips. He didn’t smile like that often, it was either a full blown toothy grin, or nothing at all. Wind ruffling his hair, taking longer and longer strides that you couldn’t quite catch up with. “Hey Daddy Long Legs, I’m not 6′3 you know.” you say, sarcasm and a hint of annoyance relevant in your tone. “Oops. Sorry.” he looked down at you, stopping in his tracks. “What? Satoru, we don’t have all the time in the world, come on, Shoko and Geto are probably waiting for us.” ‘Why’s that matter?” crouching down so he could stare at you eye-to-eye, well, more like eye-to-glasses, you hadn’t seen his eyes too often. But when you did they were a brilliant shade of blue, flecks of different variants of the color sprinkled carelessly around, they were breathtaking. You hoped to see them more, why wouldn’t he show you them? After all, he was your... Boyfriend. The term felt so weird to say, but so good. “Didn’t we just start dating?” he said, cocking his head to the side, his eyebrows knitted together. Snapping out of your daze, you study your shoes. “Well- Yes... But, that’s not the point.” your eyes flickered to the field of flowers dancing in the breeze. “Honey, that’s entirely the point. We just got together and you’re gonna care about Shoko and Geto? You’re too considerate~” he cooed, pinching and pulling at your cheeks. “...Is it okay if I call you honey..? Or uh, you know, pet names in general.” he added, you swear you can sense a quivering in his voice, some doubtfulness. Biting your lip, you turn your full attention towards him, flower field be damned, you were dating the guy now, it was okay to be confident. “...I actually prefer it.” It took a moment to register in his probably small brain, but when it did, he beamed at you, giving a full blown smile. “So I can call you Honey? Sugar? Cuddle Bug? Snuggle Wuffle? Snufflekins? Well I kind of already knew you were gonna say yes, by the way.” he cleared his throat, “because, I’m the strongest of all time, and I can also read minds, I swear.” You giggle, not even realizing you were smiling at him as well, his face lit up. “Satoru, It’s okay, just admit you were scared I was gonna say no.” He straightened himself, finally standing up. He put his hand at the back of his neck, still looking down at you. “I wasn’t sweets, I knew you were gonna say yes, but uh, you know consent and stuff...” trailing off, he kicked at a pebble. “I don’t think you need consent to call your significant other cute pet names, well, most of the time.” stifling a laugh, you turn to face to the very start of the pathway you and Gojo were walking on. “Pretty, isn’t it?” he breathed. “Pretty place for a pretty person. I’m happy you told me here. Otherwise, It’d probably be when you’re fighting a curse and on the verge of death.” “Satoru!-” Did this guy have no shame? “What? I woulda saved you regardless, sweetheart. How am I gonna date someone that’s dead?” he chuckled, ruffling your hair. “That’s insensitive!” you snorted, focusing your attention towards the growingly dark sky. “It’s growing really dark, Satoru. We should head back soon.” you thought aloud, once again weaving your fingers into his hand. “I didn’t even realize. Spending time with you makes everything fly by.” he flirted, lifting your limp hand up and kissing your skin. You weren’t quite ready for another kiss in a span of 30 minutes. Struggling to come up with something cheeky, you gape at him, opening and closing your mouth. “My significant other’s a fish now? Aw whatever, you’re still cute. Want more kissies, darling?” He doesn’t give you time to respond, instead diving face first into yours, lips interlocking. Soft, chaste kisses, there’s nothing sexual about it strangely, yet every each one still carried intimacy and love. You melt into his touch, sinking deeper and deeper into his embrace, your knees were just about to give out. Exhaling sharply out of your nose, you could feel the cool air fanning onto your face, your skin was growing hot and sticky. Just as you were about to try to take it a step further, he steps out of the kiss, panting heavily, drooling like an idiot. Your brain isnt quite working yet, and you peer at him, dumbfounded by the events that had occurred. The still atmosphere was penetrated by the two of you panting, breathing in deeply. Your heart beating furiously, did that really just happen? Did Gojo Fucking Satoru just kiss you? “Woah there.” panting, he crouches, looking up at you and catching his breath. “Didn’t know you were that straightforward, not now, not now baby. Didn’t you say we needed to go back to Geto and Shoko anyways?” Trying not to whine, you clear your throat. “Oh yeah, I forgot about them.” “Glad to know I have that effect on you.” “Satoru!- God why did I ever have a crush on you?” slightly annoyed by his remark, you scoff. “Because I’m handsome and strong and super cool.” You couldn’t quite deny those claims, but your mouth was zipped shut. “That’s what I thought.” grinning at you, yet you can only faintly make out his facial features. “Fuck, Gojo, or uh... Baby, we gotta go! What if Shoko or Geto think we’re kidnapped or something?” Hands once again clasping with his unoccupied one, you sprinted, dragging him along the beaten trail. “Fuck Shoko and Geto! They know I’ll protect the both of us, nothing scares me sweetheart! Let’s watch the stars together, (Y/N)!” he hollered back at you, taking longer and longer strides to catch up to you. “Oh FUCK no baby, you are NOT beating me.” giggling, you let go of his hand, you found yourself 100 times lighter. Now sprinting at the speed of light, or at least the fastest you could run, at the entrance of the pathway. Estimating that it would take around 3 minutes of full sprinting to get to the area. “Last one there is a rotten egg! And you don’t get any of the remaining snacks!” you screamed back at him, but he wasn’t there. Looking forward, you realize Gojo is now ahead of you by a landslide. Yelling unintelligibly about the tasty remaining snacks in the basket. Atleast, that’s what you assume he’s yelling about, but you were sure he would save some for you. Today, was a good day.

previous || series masterlist || blood son [sequel;one shot]
You run your hands through your hair and shut your eyes tight, the quietness and stillness of your shared apartment was something to bask on before you put on a fake mask of happiness. It had been exactly two months since you found out about the birth control switch and the medaide agenda.
In the span of those two months, you had grown more observant towards your boyfriend’s actions and you knew that it wouldn’t be anytime soon until he actually notices that you were onto him.
You let out a shaky breath as you recollected some weird things you’ve seem to have noticed, how his brows would furrow when he’d receive a call indicating that something was up and it was serious or how you visited your ex-boss one time a week or so ago along with Kenjiro since you wanted to see how he was doing.
“...Well, he just didn’t come home and sold the place. Apparently he was in a rush to move or something because of family matters so I didn’t exactly see him.” the neighbor gossiped to you two.
“Y/N?”
You jump on your spot as you hear that dreadfully familiar voice.
“Hey,” You greet, walking up to him, you decide to do your usual hug but stop when you notice a small red stain on his necktie, the tie is dark blue and although it wasn’t obvious from afar, it definitely was up close. Your brows are furrowed together, this time in pure curiosity, “Did you get hurt? It’s unlike you to get messy.”
You notice the quick shift of attitude in his eyes, you were seemingly getting good at observing his emotions these days and it looked like he panicked for a second there.
Odd.
“A friend of mine had gotten hurt a while ago, you remember Atsumu Miya?”
A vivid image of a blonde man crossed your mind, he was another conglomerate friend of your boyfriend, another person to be weary of to add to the list, “Oh, is he alright?” you asked, trying to keep it casual as you untie his tie for him as usual.
“Yes. He’s awfully clumsy. You don’t need to worry.”
“Oh…” You mumbled, “by the way, I visited my ex-chief.”
“Ex-chief?”
“Mhm.” you hummed, “You know, my boss from before? Me and a few co-workers decided to visit him since he was a really good boss. Turns out he just left without telling anyone, poor man.”
“Sounds unpleasant. Did you know why he quit?”
“No.” You shrugged as you take the tie out and place it on the side, “He suddenly just quit his job and moved, neighbors said it was also because of family matters. It’s kinda weird because as far as we knew, he didn’t have a family.”
“Would you like me to look into it?”
You almost stiffen when he slithers his arms on your waist but you didn’t want to give away any suspicion, “No. I don’t want to pry. Hopefully he’s enjoying his retirement.” You sighed, turning towards him with a tight smile, “Now what would you like for dinner? I was thinking Mediterranean? I need to lose some weight since I’ve been feeling bloated for a while.”
He leans in for a soft kiss on your temple, “Mediterranean would be fine. Would you like anything else? We could order more.” he hummed, his lips slowly started to dangerously hover on top of yours.
“No, it’s fine.” You give him a quick peck and wiggle your way out of his arms, your stomach doesn’t feel well these days. Whenever you were near Sakusa you had the urge to throw up your innards despite having an empty stomach.
You don’t notice the dangerous gaze on your behind as you pick up the phone for your take-out.
Sakusa hasn’t felt you in a long time and it’s driving him insane, he wants to feel your heat, your body, and everything in between. He wants to fill you up and see you pregnant with his children. He wants everyone in the world to know you were his and his only.
Yet he can’t do that.
You’ve ignored his affections these past few weeks and it had been driving him insane to the point where he had to ask one of his men to put an eye on you to see if you had been cheating on him or seeing someone else.
Yet you hadn’t.
Your routine was the same old one and Sakusa is digging his nails deeply into his skin in his office one day with his tie uncharacteristically untied. Miya Atsumu sits across him, taking a sip from his flask, “Ya look like shit.” the blonde points out.
“Fuck off, Miya.”
“Heard from your cousin that you’re not getting laid by your girl these days.”
“You better be thankful that you’ve got men behind you or I’d be shooting your fucking brains out for saying that.” Sakusa spats, his dark gaze pointedly looking at the blonde across him.
“You should just find someone else then and not yer prude of a-”
“Keep telling me ideas like that and maybe I might just shoot you and chop your body up until it looks fuckin’ unrecognizable.”
Atsumu raises his hands up, signaling that he was giving up, “Gee, omi-omi. I was just giving my advise. It’s so easy to drop her.”
“I don’t want to drop what’s mine.”
“You’ve got issues.” He chuckles, “Haven’t you been switching out her pills and fucking her raw for the last couple of months? I bet yer ass you got her pregnant on that before but ya just don’t know it. Getting her pregnant would definitely secure her spot in her life. Woman’s nuthin’ without ya.”
“She’s...she’s not showing…”
“When was the last time ya two went at it?”
“Two months ago.”
“Ya poor boy.” Atsumu sighs, shaking his head, “Ya sure you don’t want to take a break from being a loyal boyfriend for one night? i bet Y/N wouldn’t notice.”
“And no one would notice if you fucking disappeared. I’ll make sure of it, now get out.”
You may not have been the sharpest tool on the shed but you know that someone’s been tailing you these past few days, you’re not stupid. You could only come to the conclusion that it was Sakusa who was doing such things but you couldn’t get why.
Something just didn’t make sense. It felt like you were missing an important piece in the puzzle, med-aide and the switch of your pills and now a hidden tail?
You furrow your brows together in deep thought as you sat down next to a teenage boy on his phone, you decided to take the bus today to the grocery store, surprisingly the one tailing you wasn’t around today.
Your eyes slowly shift towards the boy’s phone, it seemed like he was playing a video game.
An otome game, to be exact.
You felt your lips twitch up, you remembered those games a lot growing up. The graphics seem to have massively improved now by the looks of it, “...That looks interesting.” You tell the teenage boy who turns to you in surprise.
“Oh, thanks.” the blonde replied quietly.
“Is that a new otome game?”
“Kind of.” He blinks, his gaze returning back to the screen, “It’s sort of a remake of the yandere simulator from back then.”
You feel your shoulders tense up.
“A yandere?”
“Yeah.” The blonde nods, “The girl’s awfully creepy in the game, she stalks him, does things to get him. The player has to catch her in the act and evade her at the same time.”
“Oh…” You blink, “I-uh, this is weird… but what’s a yandere again?’
“It’s someone obsessively in love with you. They’ll do anything to have you stay by them.” He says, pushing on a button but suddenly the screen turns red and you feel shivers run down your spine as you hear him curse and the words ‘you’re caught’ appear on the screen.
“W-what happened to your character?”
“He died. Nothing much.” he mumbles, “If the Yandere knows they can’t have you, they’ll kill you.”
You immediately went pale as soon as you heard that. Maybe, just maybe you were being paranoid. He wouldn’t go to that extent, would he?
“How did your character escape the yandere in the game?”
“Well, I haven’t finished the game yet but based on some anime’s and manga’s I've usually read. They either killed to get away or they moved so far away where they wouldn’t be seen so I think the creator might have the same ending.” The blonde said, he slowly looked to your side, “You’re looking awfully pale, ma’am. Are you alright?”
“Yeah, j-just remembered a horrible game I played back when I was your age.” You gulped in, “Nightmares, you know? The yandere tried to get my character pregnant and tried to get in her way of moving out of the country.”
“Sounds like a very realistic one.” He mumbles, “What did your character do?”
“I wasn’t able to finish it.” you whispered, loud enough for him to only hear, “I couldn’t really find a way out.”
“The developers of the game must’ve made it hard for you. Maybe your character should’ve ran away,” he advised, “Or better yet, you should’ve killed him.”
“I-well, I don't think there were options like that.”
“Well if I were you and there was no option for killing, I’d run. Far, far away. Change my identity and all that.” he exits the game and stuffs the phone back in his pocket, you get a good look of his cat-like eyes and immediately feel a shiver on your spine with the next words he say, “I mean its a game but you wouldn’t wanna loose and get your character killed, right?”
“R-right.”
The teenage boy hops down without even saying goodbye and you have a scary realization that you can’t break it off like you originally had planned. You needed to run, run far as you can and get lost.
The words that the teenage boy says echoes in your head for the next few days, from that point on, realization dawns upon you that, nothing is certain now. You couldn’t trust anyone, you couldn’t let friends and family be involved in this. Sakusa Kiyoomi is a powerful man so you needed to be careful with how you were going to disappear.
You continue to act nonchalant and the same as you try to lay out your plan but you knew that you had only a week or so to complete this for it to successfully work.
Sakusa Kiyoomi wonders what he should do to save the relationship, he’s tried everything in the book that he could think of but you remained the same. Was this the end of the relationship? For real?
He could never stomach the idea of having you leave him.
It’s eerie that day, something felt different when he came home to an empty apartment. It looked the same yet something felt very, very different. Apparently the apartment guards said you were here since your car hadn’t left the driveway and they hadn’t seen you go out.
He checks out your side of the closet, your clothes remain there untouched and your toiletries were there too. He scans the fridge for your notes but nothing is stuck there. He suddenly feels like something cold was dumped on him.
It couldn’t be, right?
Right?
He runs to every room, checking every nook and cranny and when he finally reaches the last room which was the bathroom, nothing is there.
Everything was in its place except you.
Where were you?
Your bank account remains untouched, your wallet and phone was left in the apartment. It was as if you were returning home, the very least. Komori tells him to calm down, saying that they’re letting the best people find you around the city, they don’t rule out that someone might’ve had the audacity to touch you.
Whoever took you would be given hell to pay, that’s for sure. Was it the triad? Kkangpae’s? Or opposing yakuza’s? Oh, they’ll definitely have their heads on the platter if they tried to harm a single hair on your head.
Sakusa doesn’t even hesitate to notify the police about you already despite the memorandum that twenty-four hours is needed to consider a person missing, it's nothing a little money can fix.
“I hope we find her soon.” Your aunt sighed, “I’ve notified her parents about it. It’s definitely weird that she’d leave all her valuables behind.”
Hinata and Natsu sit there next to their mom, completely sad and worried, “I’ve hired the best people for it already, obaasan. We’ll find Y/N.” Sakusa replies yet his thoughts are in a complete frenzy now.
And find you they did.
No stone was left unturned. He made sure of it. Yet after a month of relentless searching. Nothing came up, it seemed like you had just vanished and Sakusa Kiyoomi had turned the whole underground world upside down for you but nothing came up.
Some say that you disappeared and ran away but that was immediately ruled out, no security cameras saw you in and out during that day and it would be impossible for you to just leave without security cameras on you. The guard had exclaimed that despite the blackout that day, the generators only took a few minutes to power up so they’d definitely catch you on camera in case you ever exited the building (along with the guards since they knew exactly what you looked liked) plus the clothes and such were still there, left untouched.
Some said you died, it was definitely impossible for you to just vanish without a single trace after all since everyone was looking for you.
Yet no one dared to say it in front of the boss, not if they valued their life.
The billionaire had dried out his connections to find you. What good was it to be the most powerful and richest man in the country if he couldn’t find you? Life had no meaning now, you were gone. It felt like a part of him was ceasing to function.
Sakusa Kiyoomi was a dead man walking now.
Unknown to the whole world, you’re in a small town with little to no signal. Your hair is chopped unevenly and your skin is darker from the repeated exposure under the sun, your life is simple and mundane now yet you’re happy.
For the first time in months, you actually felt free.
You shut your eyes tight, the events that transpired this past few months replayed in your head. Your escape was definitely done as carefully as you can and you didn’t even know if you’d succeed since you weren’t a master in that sort of thing.
You recalled that it was a week before you ran away, a few days after you met that kid in the bus. Someone from the electric company had come to inform you that there was a scheduled black out in the city that day during the afternoon and you felt something bubble up in you. That was the day you’d put your plan into motion.
You knew that the longer you delayed your plan, the harder it would be to escape.
You had a few minutes to actually put your plan to work. The camera’s on the hallways would cease to function for a few minutes according to the guard downstairs as he did a protocol on the building (apparently the generators were quick). So that morning after Sakusa left, you placed only a few clothes and the stash of money you had been carefully hiding in a garbage bag and chopped your hair short in an uneven manner. Burning all the remaining hair on the fireplace and the black hair color that you use with it. The maid uniform that you stole on your floor and a fake name plate that you made was on and you were good to go.
The minute the black out started, you took the garbage bag and walked out. Taking the stairway used by the caretakers, you made sure to just look down and never directly up at the camera’s pretending to work.
When you finally made it out of your building. You let out a stiff sigh and put down the bag, it was only the beginning. If you thought the same way as Sakusa Kiyoomi, you could only imagine that you needed to be more careful from this point on.
You take the newly bought duffel bag that you strategically hid behind some boxes. Thankfully when you had placed it yesterday afternoon, it hadn’t been touched.
You put on a pair of shorts and a baggy shirt with cheap shades and stuffed the maid uniform in the duffel bag along with your belongings in the garbage bag. You take the other route that led to the busy streets. It was easy to look like a tourist and seemingly blend in the crowd, from that point on, you only had one destination in mind.
When you were younger, you vividly remember an acquaintance telling you about this small town outside of Tokyo where her grandparents were from. It was only an hour away via plane and when you went down another few hours via bus yet if you took the bus route all in all, it would take a few days.
Since it was far, only a few busses actually went there and since you had to leave within the day, you decided to just take the bus nearest to that town and take another bus when you arrived there.
The plan smooth-sailed from that point on.
Except for one minor detail.
You open your eyes and look down at your now small bump. The monster who almost had you trapped left a parting gift, you grip your garden hoe tightly.
A big part of you wanted to kill it.
Yet every time you try to, you hesitate.
The moment you arrived here, you had to pretend to be a weary and poor widow. You just didn’t expect to be a weary and poor expecting widow. You let out an uncharted sigh at the thought, it was hard enough to be alone here with little to no money.
This child had the demon’s blood in it.
Yes, you may have gone free from his cage but in truth with his seed growing in your stomach day by day, you started to feel quite the opposite.

Yeah. Like I watched seven episodes the first day (so six after I initially sent you the message) and finished it the next. Like I wanted to get to Lawless’ episodes because I just wanted to know what he sounded like and then the episode ended with a small bit of him and I just needed to watch a bit more but after episode 7 I knew I could take a break. I just couldn’t stop because of how much I loved it and wanted to see what would happen next. I see. I might be wrong here since I still haven’t touched the manga and have only watched the movie today but from what I saw on the wiki and in the movie, it seems like the movie takes place after the events of the 12th episode but covers events that happened before the Greed pair appeared (like it literally says it covers those events on the wiki so I’ll see for myself at some point). So it’s a bit different. But either way it was a really good movie and I definitely enjoyed it and hope you do as well. And that’s totally cool. Like I also took days to respond last time because I wasn’t able to find the time before then. And I sent so many messages this time, with sure some images but it’s still *a lot*. And thank you for saying that 😊 It also takes me really long so don’t feel bad about it or anything. Take all the time you need.
I love how you’re surprised by Lawless since for me loving him just made sense. Me too when it comes down to Mikuni. Like the movie revealed some stuff about his past and even though it answered some things, I’m still really intrigued about him and just want to see his full life and how he got Abel. No. For a change you’re absolutely wrong. It’s Lawless’s constantly caring and protective side even though I know he doesn’t always say the best things (and can be quite merciless at times). Also like, he’s the only one who disagreed with all of his siblings about that thing in the past after the vote had been then so it shows how good his heart is. Licht is just not my kind of guy and he’s just far too aggressive towards Lawless at times for my liking. Like even if Lawless wasn’t one of my faves, I’d still think that. But I do really like their song. And yeah. Like I loved his voice first and then him. Which was a bit unfair but it is what it is. I love that the opening is so inspirational to you.
I think the anime might’ve gotten ahead in some ways but yeah, I’ll see. And it’s nice to hear that the manga is just as enjoyable. I don’t know when I’ll get to it, maybe in a few weeks or so, but I’ll definitely let you know then.
Thank you so much for the last bit of your message as well.
Also, on an entirely different note I wanted to check your fandom list to see whether there were any other anime I might liked and went to look up ‘Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun’ since that’s one of the first ones on your list. Upon seeing the poster and images, I was like “Too colourful for me” but I still scrolled down to see which voice actors it has and Lawless’s voice actor voices a main character (Alice Asmodeus) so I’ll probably also try to check that out and some point. Not only that but Hugh’s voice actor (who does Hinata in Haikyuu!!) is the main main character so yeah, no chance of resisting that.
C
So, because I don't know if C is actively keeping track on the replies, and to kind of group everything into one post to make it easier for them to read it, I'm going to group the replies on the post, the ones that came via inbox, and this reply to them into one big post! I hope nobody minds and that it all makes sense to read!
So, to start replying to C! I'm so glad you enjoyed the anime enough to speed through it like that. I love also that wanting to hear a particular voice actor in their part made you so excited for the upcoming episodes and I really enjoy how much voice actors work means to you, how you have all these favourite voice actors and really recognize and respect their hard work in bringing these beloved characters to the screen or their work in making these characters so beloved. I know there are active fandoms out there for particular voice actors, but I still always feel like they're a little underloved and not as recognized as they should be within fandom as a whole, so your excitement and love for them is great to see. As more of a manga reader myself, like I've said, I honestly don't know a lot of the voice actors as well as you do, but even I have my favourites (just as I have my favourite podcasters, because their voices soothe me and make me feel comforted). And I will definitely look forward to watching the movie then and am glad you enjoyed it!
And thank you, as always, my dear, for being so chill and patient when it comes to me taking a bit to reply to our messages. It's very appreciated, and please don't worry about taking your time to reply last time too, I knew you were celebrating with family and busy with holidays and really was surprised with how quick you had replied, considering it was the holiday season and I knew you had family around (and while I'll talk about it in our messages, really hope the trip was super fantastic).
And I was surprised! I love the fact that you surprise me, even as well as we've gotten to know each other. And I will guarantee that the manga goes more into Mikuni and Abel and it's really lovely (and some beautiful manga panels just artistically speaking, just giving my opinion here). And see, I think that might be another way the anime really differed from the manga, in reagards to the vote, because there were multiple siblings in the manga for sure who had been against it. And that is interesting to read, your views and interpretations of both Licht and Lawless so thank you so much for sharing that! It was a great read!
Lastly, before we get into the other messages and really getting into what thoughts people had on Servamp anime versus Servamp manga, I'm going to answer C properly on her last paragraph. Again, I'm trash with recognizing different voices (and do watch Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun dubbed, sue me, it's easier to do as I often sit and do my embroidery with the episodes) so I hadn't realized they shared a voice! Or that Hugh was also Hinata! That was cool to learn. I will say I love Alice and definitely think you'll enjoy him if you do end up trying Iruma-kun, though I'm actually making a pretty solid bet that he won't end up being your absolute favourite, even with the voice being an actor you love! Just not enough in common with your normal favourites, and I do think at least one of the staff will be among your favourites lists. I do see your 'very colourful' comments on Iruma-kun, but honestly, it's one of the more recent anime/mangas that really remind me of the classic Big 3 (Naruto, Bleach, One Piece) that were huge throughout the time I was coming into fandom proper and even being new, it has this great nostalgic vibe to me probably because of that. I would really recommend it to anyone who loves any of those.
Now into the actual comments and views on the manga versus anime for Servamp! Like I said, I don't know if C saw these on the actual post, so just reposting them here to make sure they do!
And this one came through the ask box!
I think I'm realizing that I'm actually probably really lenient on what I consider a good adaptation, haha, but maybe that's because I've suffered through some really terrible adaptions (2016 Berserk, which remains one of the worst I've ever seen, Deadman Wonderland's anime adaption which turned a largely horror based manga to kind of straight shounen, Bleach where the anime was at least a good 40% filler and which really did water down a lot of the battles, the dub of Ghost Stories which like…it's so bad it's funny and I honestly do feel bad for anyone who wanted and still wants a good dub of that, the Junji Ito anime collection which was doomed from the beginning because I really don't think there's a good way to properly translate Ito from page to screen, the way Soul Eater ended makes it to me a horrible adaption because fuck that ending, Saiyuki in a way because even though I do love the anime I'll admit it severely watered down a lot of things and did censor a lot to make it suitable for broadcast, the reminder that the 4kids dub of One Piece exists, Eyeshield 21's anime). So maybe I have been too forgiving because the general consensus does really seem to be that the manga and anime diverged greatly and that the best bet is to read the manga from the beginning to really get the full story. And, since I admit to being mostly manga now on that, though I do enjoy watching the anime every now and then, I do get and appreciate everyone's views on that! Thank you so much for everyone who chimed in on that, and I'll ask C, if they start the manga and decide to read it through, to let me know through ask box so all those fans who took the time to weigh in can know how C likes it and if they agree on the manga versus anime!

Perfect
Pairing: Osamu x F!Reader
Summary: In which Osamu has never thought of you as anything less than perfect.
Words: 4.4k
Warnings: Swearing, mutual pining, angst if you squint. I also think a disclaimer that I haven’t read the manga or finished the anime should be a warning in itself, so apologies if I’ve messed anything up. Please bear with me!
A/N: Hello everyone!! This is my very first post on this blog and my first piece of Haikyuu fanfic, so I figured I should start it out by writing some fluff for my fav. Please let me know what you think! Loosely inspired by Perfect by Ed Sheeran, so maybe listen to it while you read if you’re into that 😉
Osamu frowned, able to hear the bell above the front door of his restaurant chime as he sat at his desk. He could have sworn he locked up hours ago. But even that shouldn’t have mattered. The shop was obviously closed, and the hours were posted in the front window. He glanced at the clock, which only made him grimace more. Who the hell was coming into his shop at 10:47 pm? He sighed and ran a hand through his hair to fix it, knowing it had probably become disheveled from all the ways he tugged at it while trying to finish up his end-of-the-week tasks like inventory and time sheets, plus going over the paperwork to hopefully buy a property for the new branch of Onigiri Miya in the coming weeks. He stood, fully intent on quickly sending whoever it was away so that he could finish his work and go home. However, when he turned on his heel he nearly choked as he was met with your figure shadowing the doorway, a beautiful grin on your face. He took you in, your features dimly lit by the light that cast a soft glow across his office, a sundress brushing against your thighs as you took a step into the small space.
“Hey, handsome,” you hummed, twirling your key to the restaurant on one finger as you approached him. You stood on your tiptoes and pecked his lips before holding up the bag that was in your other hand. “Hungry?”
He was was hungry. He couldn’t remember if he’d eaten lunch today. The weekend was always the busiest, and he was a workaholic—he’d rather be in the kitchen than anywhere else while his shop was bustling with customers.
You smiled, nodding your head toward the door of his office. “C'mon. Let’s go sit.”
Osamu let you lead him out into the main dining area, and he pulled your chair out as you set the bag on the table.
“Such a gentleman,” you quipped, thanking him as you sat.
He smiled, leaning down to give your lips a quick kiss before sitting on the other side of the able. “You look beautiful,” he said softly, watching as you pulled food out and sent some in front of each of you.
“And you look exhausted,” you teased, making his eyebrows raise in a way that you knew meant I am, though he would never admit it outright. “Look, before you say anything, I know I’m not as good of a cook as you and I know you love to cook anyway, but you’ve been working so hard this week, so I just wanted to—”
He stopped you by placing a hand over yours, giving you a love-struck smile that made your words catch in your throat. “I’m sure it’s perfect, babe. Thank you.” He brought your hand up to his lips and gave your knuckles a kiss. The action caused a swarm of butterflies to erupt in your stomach and made you blush, feeling like you did when you had a schoolgirl crush on him all those years ago.
You gave his hand a soft squeeze and then the two of you began eating, settling into a comfortable silence as you did so. After both of you finished you stood up, giving his hand a small tug as you set your phone on the table. Soft music began to drift out of the speakers, and you gave him a shy smile. “Dance with me, ‘Samu,” you whispered.
What kind of man would he be to deny you when you were standing there, looking at him like he’d hung the stars and taking care of him after what felt like one of the longest weeks of his life, a blush adorning your cheeks as if you were somehow still shy around him after all these years? He smiled and stood up, his hands settling in their familiar spot on your waist. He leaned down to kiss you, only pulling away to give you a twirl which made you laugh. The sound was so much more beautiful to him than anything he had ever heard. It was like the world moved in slow motion, allowing him to take you in. The way you clung a bit tighter to his hand as you spun, the way the skirt of your dress flared out and then settled back against the soft skin of your legs, the way you smiled a kind of smile reserved only for him, the way you looked at him with so much love in his eyes he felt like his heart might burst out of his chest…
You looked perfect.
This wasn’t a new realization to him by any means. You always looked perfect, even when you didn’t think so. There was no one more beautiful to him than you. He pulled you back to his chest and kissed you again as you danced, humming quietly to himself when your arms looped around his neck. You pulled away for a breath and looked up at him, cheeks tinted an even deeper shade of pink. Yeah, you looked perfect.
You looked perfect even when you were crying.
Part of him was pained to admit it, but he couldn’t help himself. You could never look anything less than perfect to him. You just didn’t know that.
You were sat next to him on your bed, your hands clutching his shirt as you sobbed into his chest. He tightened his grip on you, his heart aching as he listened to you cry.
Osamu was the first person you’d called. He always was. Well, almost always. God, he wanted to be the first person you called for everything, not just when you needed someone to comfort you because your boyfriend was being an idiot. He wanted to be the one you called for late night cuddles, not just for cuddles when you were single. He wanted to be the one you called when you needed to ramble about some random thing at three in the morning, not just when you didn’t have someone else to pour your heart out to first.
He was so fucking tired of coming second when you always came first to him.
“’M such an idiot, 'Samu,” you choked out between sobs, tearing him away from his thoughts.
“No yer not,” he said, a little more bite behind his words than he intended. Normally he would agree, give you a playful little quip back as was his wont in your friendship. It cheered you up when he let his stoic persona fade a bit, but he wasn’t having any of that today. He hated your boyfriend—your ex boyfriend. He always made you feel like shit, and Osamu was having to pick up the pieces way too often lately. “He’s the idiot for breaking up with ya… ” God, Osamu couldn’t even begin to explain how conflicted he was just speaking those words. Of course he believed that anyone was an idiot for letting go of you, but deep down a part of him was happy that he was going to be your number one again.
He was a horrible person, wasn’t he?
You scoffed, shaking your head and pressing your face further into his chest. “Sh-She’s so pretty,” you whimpered, alluding to the girl your dumb ex had dumped you for just hours earlier. “No wonder he doesn’t like me. I’m not pretty. ’M nothing like her.”
Osamu clenched his jaw, reaching up to gently grip your chin and tilt your head up and make you look at him. “You are. You’re beautiful,” he said, his voice firm. His heart broke a little at the way you looked at him. Your nose was red and your tears were leaving silvery trails on your cheeks, but he couldn’t help but think that you looked so perfect in his arms.
He really was a horrible person…
You adverted your gaze from his intense stare, sniffling. “You’re just saying that. How can you even think that when I look like a complete mess right now?” You hid your face in his chest as a new wave of sobs overtook your body.
He shook his head, burying his face in your hair to press a kiss against your head. “You look perfect,” he whispered, so quiet he thought you wouldn’t hear.
But you did.
You looked perfect even after you’d gotten caught in a rainstorm on the way to school.
Osamu’s eyes widened when he saw you in the hall, clothes soaked and hair dripping wet. You gathered your hair and tried to wring some of the water out of it, face perking up when you saw him. “Hey, 'Samu!” you called, waving to him as he approached you. Even dripping wet and shivering, you were smiling at him. It made his heart leap.
He was glad you were smiling again. It had been months since you and your ex split, but you were still having a hard time getting over him. Osamu was always there for you when you needed him, especially when you had bad days out of the blue and just needed to be in someone’s arms. His arms.
He quickly shrugged off his jacket and held it out to you. “What happened?” he asked as you took it, thanking him quietly and pulling it over your shoulders. He’d had morning practice with the team, hence why you hadn’t come together, and it hadn’t shown any sign of raining when he was on his way earlier.
You shook your head and reached back to tie your hair up. It was ruined now, anyway. “I didn’t know it was supposed to rain today, but it started to pour for like five minutes. I was already more than halfway here so I didn’t feel like going home to change.” You shrugged and zipped up his jacket, relishing the warmth of it and the way it smelled like him. “I probably look like a mess right now, huh?” you laughed, shivering a bit as you became aware of how much your wet clothes were sticking to you and chilling you to the bone.
You look perfect, Osamu thought as he pulled you into his side and toward the front doors of the school. “Come with me to the club room,” he said quickly, trying to distract himself from how good you looked even dripping wet. Your clothes clung to your body, your hair had fallen in a sort of disastrously beautiful way around your face, and your wet eyelashes made your eyes look like they were sparkling. “I think I have some extra clothes you can wear; you’ll catch a cold if you stay in those.”
“Okay,” you said quietly as you relaxed against his side. You zipped the jacket up higher, covering your nose to try to warm yourself up more and hide the way a blush was forming on your cheeks. You felt your stomach flutter, and you prayed that if Osamu saw the way your cheeks were turning pink he would just think it was from the cold. You took a deep breath, Osamu’s scent filling your nostrils as you nosed the fabric of his jacket. Jeez, this crush was going to be the death of you…
You thought he hadn’t noticed, but his heart leapt again at the way you seemed to relax in his jacket. He loved the way you looked in it. It hung loosely over your body and made you look like you were his. You looked perfect.
God, he wished you were his.
You looked perfect when you were wearing his clothes.
He loved when you got dolled up, but he loved it even more when one of his hoodies was on you, falling at your thigh with sleeves that were long enough for you to pull over your hands. It fulfilled parts of the fantasies in his head where you were his and he was yours. But you weren’t.
But one day, when you were over at his house looking so cozy with his sweatshirt dwarfing you, leggings clad legs tucked under yourself as you cuddled into his side, he couldn’t help himself.
The day had started normally enough. You had gone over to the twins’ house to study with them, only that didn’t really last long. The three of you had been best friends since you were kids, so if you were together for more than just a little while there was no stopping the antics that would erupt—especially if Atsumu was present.
Said twin answered the door when you knocked, and Osamu rounded the corner just as he heard his brother let out an exaggerated groan.
“So that’s where that sweatshirt went!” the older twin huffed, pointing a finger accusatorily at your chest.
Osamu peeked over his twin’s shoulder, his heart soaring when he saw you. One hand was clutching your bookbag, and the other was shoved into the pocket of the sweatshirt adorning your body. His sweatshirt.
“I wanted ta wear that yesterday but I couldn’t find it anywhere!” Atsumu complained, making the gray-haired twin look over at him in disgust.
“It isn’t even yours, idiot,” he grumbled, gaze quickly snapping back to you as you laughed.
“Well good morning to you too,” you chirped, pushing between them as you stepped into their house.
Atsumu noticed the way his brother’s gaze lingered on you a little longer than normal, and a smirk slowly made its way onto his face. However, in a very un-Atsumu-like fashion, he decided to keep quiet.
You set your bag on the dining room table and raised your eyebrows at them expectantly. “Well, aren’t we going to study?”
A few hours later studying was long forgotten, having been abandoned in favor of video games, an impromptu volleyball practice for the twins—you were no stranger to those, and were always happy to help them however you could—and binging a new season of your favorite show, with a few bouts of bickering in between. Now you were settled with Osamu on the couch, Atsumu having left about twenty minutes earlier to get food for the three of you after losing a match of rock paper scissors to determine who had to make the trip. He’d gone begrudgingly, grumbling as he put on his shoes and slamming the door behind him. But as soon as the door closed he was smirking again. He wasn’t oblivious to the way Osamu was pining for you—his brother wasn’t as slick as he thought—so he hoped his dumb twin would take this opportunity to finally do something about it.
You cuddled into Osamu’s side, and his arm fell from where it was resting on the back of the couch to wrap around your shoulders. Your eyes were fixed on the TV, flipping through the options of movies you could choose for the three of you to watch when Atsumu returned with the food.
He pulled you closer as he looked down at you, noting the way your hair was coming out of the bun you’d had it in when you arrived, no doubt from all the running around you had to do to keep up with the twins. His gaze traveled lower and he took in the way your eyelashes brushed your cheeks when you blinked, the way you nibbled on your lip in concentration, the way you leaned your cheek against one of your sweater paw-clad hands. You were gorgeous.
“Go out with me,” he blurted.
You froze, breathing out a barely audible “What?” without even looking at him.
Fuck, he messed up, hadn’t he? But he couldn’t stop himself. “Be my girlfriend.”
You looked at him with wide eyes, and without thinking, you punched his arm.
“Ow!” he grunted, his heart falling into his stomach. Had he really read all of the signs so wrong? “What was that for? D-Do ya not want to—”
“Of course I’ll go out with you, you idiot!” you interrupted him, glaring at him as if he was about to ask you the stupidest question in the world before crossing your arms and giving him a look that made his cheeks warm.
He reached up and rubbed at the spot where your fist had connected with his bicep, mouth opening and closing a few times as he tried to figure out what to say. “Then why the hell did you hit me?”
You blinked, an embarrassed flush rising up on the back of your neck. “B-Because I…” You trailed off. Why had you hit him? Maybe you did spend too much time with the Miya twins. You blushed, giving him a pout before looking away. “Because I didn’t even think you liked me like that…” you admitted, chewing on your lip nervously.
He blanched. “Seriously? I didn’t really think I was hiding it…” His hand came up to rub the back of his neck as he looked away. “’Sides, I didn’t think you liked me like that.”
“Seriously?” you parroted, glancing at him out of the corner of your eye.
He gave you a meek smile, shrugging. “I guess that makes us both idiots.”
You blushed and looked away again. It was silent for a few moments, before you muttered, “You couldn’t have even asked me when I looked cute or something?” your voice small and oh-so adorable.
He paused, the corner of his mouth lifting into a slight smirk. He reached up and cupped your face, turning your head so you were looking at him. “You always look cute,” he whispered, leaning closer. You bit your lip and he brought his thumb up, gently pulling it from between your teeth. “You look perfect,” he breathed before kissing you.
As if that was his cue, Atsumu flung the front door open. “Food’s here! Ya better have picked a good movie because I’m starving and I don’t want ta wait for your slow asses ta decide—” He stopped, bag dropping to the floor. “What the fuck is going on?” Sure, he’d hoped his brother would finally confess to you, but he didn’t expect to come home to the two of you in a full-blown make out session in his living room.
“Shut up,” Osamu grunted, causing you to let out a giggle and hide your face in the crook of his neck as Atsumu made fake gagging noises in the background.
Osamu looked down at you, and he smiled at the way you hid yourself against him, making him forget about his idiot brother’s antics.
“I’m eating your food!” Atsumu called from the kitchen.
Well, it worked for a second anyway.
Osamu chuckled, hugging you to his chest and leaning back against the couch. He kissed your head and closed his eyes with a content smile.
You really were perfect.
You looked perfect when you were sobbing over one of his wins.
Tears blurred your vision as you pushed your way out of the stands, cheers still leaving your lips and reminding you of just how much your throat ached from all of the screaming you had been doing. You shoved your way through the crowd and to your boyfriend, jumping up and wrapping your arms around him. He caught you with a laugh, hugging you tight and spinning you around.
You cupped his cheeks when he set you down, trying to blink the tears away as you grinned up at him. “You were amazing!” you gushed, and he could hear the way your throat was growing scratchy from cheering.
He reached up and wiped away your tears with a smile, shaking his head as you apologized for “ugly crying.” Sweat dripped down the side of his face, his hair sticking to his forehead and his chest heaving with breaths slightly labored from adrenaline. “Thank you, baby,” he said and let his hands fall to your hips. “I couldn’t have done it without you here.” He winked at you, admiring how good you looked wearing his alternate jersey. You were his, and it shut up all of his fan girls in the stands when you stood in the front and cheered your lungs out for your boyfriend. It gave him a strange sense of pride.
You shook your head and stood on your tiptoes so you could kiss his nose. “I think that’s all you, handsome.”
A few meters away, his teammates were taking in the scene in front of them.
“He really is whipped,” Suna observed, taking a drink from his water bottle and glancing at Kita.
“I find it kind of endearing,” the captain admitted with a shrug. They rarely got to see Osamu show any emotion, let alone let his guard down like he did with you.
“Let me go change,” Osamu said and gave your hand a squeeze before grabbing his things. “And then I’ll cook ya dinner.”
You crossed your arms and pouted at him. “Shouldn’t I make you dinner to congratulate you?”
He laughed, pecking your lips in an attempt to kiss the pout away. “Nonsense. I love cooking for you. All ya gotta do is stand there and look pretty. Shouldn’t be too much trouble for ya.” He gave you another wink before turning to go with his team to the locker room. You blushed, a small smile making its way onto your face as you watched him.
He was so whipped.
You let out a sigh and lowered the paint roller you had been holding for what felt like hours, leaning against the ladder you stood on and closing your eyes for a moment. Just a couple minutes wouldn’t hurt, right? Your dreams of rest were snapped as your attention turned toward the door when you heard the bell above it chime, and you smiled softly at the sight of your boyfriend carrying in another box of supplies. Osamu had wanted to do a small remodel to Onigiri Miya, and since he was also trying to save up to open another branch in the future, the two of you decided to do the work yourselves. Needless to say, it had been a long week.
Osamu set the box down and huffed quietly, taking off his cap to wipe at the sweat on his forehead before quickly putting it back on. You smiled at the glimpse you got of his mussed hair and began to climb down from the ladder. You set the paint roller down and made you way over to him.
“Let’s go home, 'Samu,” you whispered, wrapping your arms around him from behind.
He hummed, letting his hands come to rest over yours where they were clasped at his stomach. He closed his eyes and relaxed a bit in your hold. “Lemme just unpack these boxes first,” he bargained, his thumbs rubbing slow circles on the backs of your hands.
You whined, pressing your cheek against his back. “This will all be here tomorrow,” you countered. “C'mon, it’s late. We’re both exhausted and I look like a total mess right now. I’m pretty sure I have paint on my face. I need a shower.”
He turned around in your arms, a small smirk forming on his lips as he looked down at you. “Why do you always say that?” he questioned, making you knit your eyebrows together in confusion. “Ya know I always think you look perfect.”
You smiled and tightened your grip on him. “Maybe it’s ‘cause I like hearing you call me perfect,” you teased, causing him to scoff.
“Whatever,” he grumbled, a blush forming on his cheeks. “You are right about one thing though.” You tilted your head to the side and raised an eyebrow questioningly. His thumb dipped into the paint tray sitting on the table beside him before coming up to smear across your cheek. “You do have paint on your face.”
You let out a squeal and he grinned, lifting you up before you could smack his chest. He turned and set you on the counter, leaning in to kiss you and reveling in the way you immediately relaxed against him. Your hands came up, one removing his hat and tossing it aside before they both cupped his jaw as you kissed him back.
He pulled back to look at you, his eyes hooded and a small smirk playing on his lips. Yeah, even sweaty and with paint on your face, cheeks flushed and eyes tired, you looked perfect. He moved his arms beneath your legs to pick you up again and carry you out the door, causing you to laugh and dip your head to hide your face against his shoulder.
“Okay, let’s go home.”
The elaborate dips and twirls were gone, leaving the two of you just swaying gently in the dining room of Onigiri Miya hours past closing time. You leaned your head against his chest, eyes closed and a content smile adorning your face. He held you a bit tighter, leaning down to press a kiss to the crown of your head. It had been a while since he took the time to just stop and appreciate you, and he held you closer to him as he thought back to all of those memories. “I love you,” he whispered, not sure if you heard. Not that it mattered; he’d told you enough that you didn’t need him to say it to know.
But you had heard, the same way you’d heard when he first whispered how perfect you looked into your hair when you cried over a stupid boy all those years ago.
“I love you too, 'Samu,” you murmured, giving him a gentle squeeze as the song faded out, leaving the two of you in a few seconds of silence before the next one would begin.
Osamu pulled back slightly so he could look down at you. You couldn’t help the smile that made its way onto your face at the way he looked at you, and you could feel your cheeks tingle with heat. He brought his hands up to cup your cheeks, fingertips brushing through your hair. He took a breath as he let his eyes travel over you. He loved you so much. He knew there was no one else he wanted to be with, no one else that he would rather be his first call for anything, no one else that was as perfect for him as you were. He took a breath and his words fell from his lips in a whisper before he could even think.
“Marry me.”

Chapter six
Suna was completely in shock and he was overwhelmed. He just froze. What can a man do when his ex tells him he is a father, let alone the father of two toddlers.
He immediately thought about the trauma you must have faced, being pregnant and alone. He also thought about how much he’s missed already, he wasn’t there for their day of birth, their first steps, first words, he’s already missed so many birthdays.
All he ever wanted was to be a father, especially to be the father of the children he made with the woman he was in love with. Was it truly a blessing or a curse?
Surely you don’t want to get back together and live like a perfect family behind a white picket fence. He’d have to learn how to push his feelings aside for these kids and share custody of them somehow. Before he could even speak you were walking away and he quickly turned.
Why aren’t his legs moving? What’s pulling him back? Is he afraid of this responsibility and commitment? Of course he is. He doesn’t want to be a shitty dad, will he be able to raise them correctly? How if he’s always busy training and practicing. All his free time is dedicated to napping.
His heart truly broke the second time ever when he saw those grayish eyes looking back at him with such hurt and betrayal. They screamed that they needed him. He didn’t know how but he felt it. He decided that he was going to take a step and work things out with you. Maybe not romantically but he really wants to be in his kids life.
“After all this time and trouble I went through. You’re gonna let her walk away again?” Atsumu’s annoying voice filled the silent hallway. “Fucking bastard.” Suna seethed and turned with a glare. Osamu knew his brother fucked up and decided to be cautious in case Suna decided to land a few punches on his brother like the last time Atsumu has pissed off Suna.
But as Atsumu braced himself for a comeback or for a fist to meet his face he was met with Suna’s back as he ran to catch up with you. When Suna turned the corner he saw the staff parking lot and he began to run even faster.
If you leave it’ll be too late.
When he made it in the parking lot he stopped and used his height to his advantage and he looked around. He couldn’t see you anywhere. “Y/N!” He called outloud and his voice echoed. “Y/N!” He repeated. He was about to continue walking through when a car backed up and quickly breaked so that they wouldn’t run over the man. You looked through your mirror and saw Suna standing there and looking around like an idiot.
Your heart clenched yet you felt butterflies at the same time. He came, not for you but for the kids. You really hoped and prayed that he would come, and he did. You parked your car and you got out. He sighed in relief and neared you. “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry. I want to be in their lives I really do.” He exclaimed.
“It’s fine, Rin. I’m glad you want that.” You smiled softly.
For a moment he got lost in your eyes, and yours in his. It probably lasted less than a minute yet it felt like a eternity. Neither of you could turn away or say something else. It was comfortable and warm.
All of a sudden your phone rang and your finally blinked and turned away to answer your phone. “Did suna find you?” Jamie immediately asked. “Uh we were talking just now....” you said awkwardly and he stood awkwardly as well. “Ok good if not I was going to give him your number.” She sighed in relief and you rolled your eyes. “Alright I got to go, the kids have school in the morning.” You said and you both hung up.
“So I would love to stay and chat..ya know about the kids but they’re asleep already and they have school.” You mumbled. “No it’s fine I completely get it. School is important...are you available tomorrow? It’s off season for me so I don’t have any rough practices, only gym. I want to talk with you before meeting the kids.” He said and you nodded. “I’ll text you when to come over when I get home.” You told him and he nodded. You both exchanged numbers but Suna didn’t really seem that satisfied.
“Be safe. Text me when you guys get home safe.” He said and his eyes widened. “Okay, I will.” You smiled softly and he saw as you entered your car. You slowly pulled out and you drove away.
“Tsumu has her social media in case you’re curious.” Osamu spoke up causing Suna to jump. “What the hell dude, don’t just scare me like that.” He placed his hand over his chest and Osamu laughed.
“Come on, let’s go.” Osamu said and Suna nodded and walked away.
“Fuck Fuck Fuck Fuck Fuck.” You muttered and slapped yourself as you drove. Your kids were already asleep so they couldn’t hear you having a mental breakdown on your way home. “Mommy you said a bad word.” Akira pointed out and you glanced at the mirror. “Sorry about that. Don’t repeat it okay?” You asked and she nodded. “I know I know.” She mumbled and look at her signed volleyball with a bored expression. “Is daddy going to be in our lives, now?” She asked and you sighed softly.
“Well we talked and it sounds like he wants to be there for you and nii-chan..he’s going to come over tomorrow while you’re at school so we can talk like adults. Then when you come home he’ll be there to hang out with you guys and you guys can get to know eachother.” You said hopefully.“I don’t like him. Why couldn’t Sakusa or Atsumu be our dad. Even that guy you were with earlier with the suit is fine. But dad is a jerk. He made you cry.” Rini huffed and your eyes widened, were they awake the whole time?
“Hey, I know you don’t know him but your shouldn’t disrespect your father like that. If it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t have had you guys. You two are the best things that has ever happened to me. You’re a Suna, once you get to know your dad I know you’ll be proud that I put your last name as Suna not Kageyama.” You told him and he scowled.
“Can you tell us more about dad?” Akira asked and you nodded. “What do you wanna know?” You asked. “Why did you fall in love with him.” Rini immediately asked, “Well he was sweet and funny, he loved anime and we were in the same class. He also taught me how to love volleyball again after my grandpa died.” You said smoothly. “What position did he play? Did he go pro?” They asked. “He was a middle blocker and he was really good. He still is a middle blocker and yes he is pro.” You said and Rini gasped. He’s more of a middle blocker type of fan. And Akira prefers setters. Even when you or Tobio teach them volleyball. They choose those positions.
The whole drive they asked about him and you answered the best you could, you can’t tell them everything but they were satisfied and they had a better understanding. They did get upset with you for not telling Rin that he was a father since the beginning but they understood that he broke your heart and you didn’t really want to see him.
When you got home you texted Rin that you arrived. You quickly bathed your kids. Dressed them in their pajamas and read them a script from the new anime you’re going to be on. (They liked listening to the scripts rather than bedtime stories)
After reading three pages they were already knocked out and you gave them a kiss. You fixed Akira’s fox plush in her arms and made you way to Rini’s bed. He was hugging a green piggy with a crown from the angry birds game and the moon made his face glow. You stood there in shock and you imagined second year Rin sleeping like that with the pig plush with the crown that reminded him of you.
You quickly rubbed your eyes to see second year rin turn back into five year old Rini. “I need some wine.” You muttered and kissed his cheek and fixed his blanket. You took out the phone from your pocket as you made your way to the bathroom to take off your makeup and start your nightly routine.
You chuckled but quickly slapped your hand over your mouth. Why was it so easy to text Rin again after all this time. Isn’t it supposed to be awkward? Why are you so comfortable?
You quickly typed an awkward goodbye and he scratched his head confused but replied goodbye as well. He really wanted to continue talking to you more.
After you changed into your pajamas and finished your nighttime routine you made your way to the kitchen and you grabbed the half full wine bottle.
You held it to your chest as you made your way to your office/studio and began reading the script and answering some emails involving the character you’ll be portraying for the new anime. You celebrated a few weeks back when you got the offer and sighed thinking about this certain character.
You’ve read the manga already but it wouldn’t hurt to re read it to get a better feel of the characater right? You took a sip from the wine bottle as you found the first book of the manga. In your endless shelves of books.
“Alright Emma let’s go on an adventure.” You sighed and began to read The Promised Neverland.
Also don’t forget that I love you and you’re worth it <3 Idk who needed to hear this today :)
