I've had some bullshit trouble finding a place to live starting june. bad locations messy ppl im not paying 1k a month to be stuck a year in a 3 room apartment with a half dozen animals out in the sticks

I've already resolved to not bother with decorating or fully unpacking since we plan to have a new apt by the end of july

im considering then, honeshtly, to just chuck my stuff in a storage unit for two months. I would have more time, it would be easier than going up and down three stairs in egg frying weather, i probably wouldn't injure myself-- and so i would only take my work clothes summer outfits and devices

but also like. ok im not like MORALLY OPPOSED to storage units but they're so materialistic..... im paying to just put my stuff somewhere, it's absurd to just think about. SCREAMS. okay so I should say that I am Not Good At Styling (or pairing stuff in general), so just take my comments as the rantings of a gremlin probably way shorter than you, but other than that-

five one piece character designs I like:

Trafalgar Law - I could go on and on and on about how hot good he looks in every arc he’s in (yes, even stoner!Law), plus all the hearts in his tattoos with the connection to his crew the Heart Pirates and Corazon is elite tbh his tattoos and accessories in general have me looking respectfully

Killer - at first I was intimidated, but after Wano I have a newfound appreciation for him + his design, the mask makes him stand out bc not many characters cover their faces, and his hair is the single most glorious thing I have ever seen, I want a Rapunzel!Killer au for shits and giggles (Kid can be Pascal lmao) (if there's a fanfic of this pls link it)

Uta - UTA MY BELOVED, her look is gorgeous, the two-color hair?? the hairstyle?? the asymmetrical dress?? YES PLEASE, she looks absolutely beautiful and very pop singer-ish if you know what I mean, tbh if she was real I would go in the song realms no questions asked

Doflamingo - now let us be clear, I hate this mutated flamingo as much as the next person, but his design fits him so perfectly that I have to grudgingly give him this win, it's bright, it's over the top, it's hideous to look at, it feels like he too the flamingo part of his name too literally, it feels like Doffy, and so I do think it fits him well

Nico Robin - or more specifically, pre-timeskip!Robin, I just adore the gothy cowboy aesthetic (purple-black and leather fits you'll always be famous to me) and I feel like Robin looks really nice with those bangs. I'm sorry but I'm a part of the pre-timeskip!Robin squad through and through, which brings us to...

five one piece character designs I don't like:

Nico Robin - this time it's post-timeskip!Robin. when I say that I couldn't recognize her, I mean that I actually thought she was Boa Hancock but with a slightly different hairstyle. she's literally so different looks-wise it's hard to reconcile pre and post Robin as the same character. also, (and this is a nitpick) the sunglasses make me stressed bc I keep thinking they might fall off

Rebecca - I know, I know, One Piece defies the laws of everything real-world related, but the gladiator armor makes me unreasonably upset because it's virtually useless. I guess it's a testament to her skills that she's barely hurt during Dressrosa, but still, everytime I see the stupid armor it makes my eye twitch

Carrot - or just most of the Minks to be honest. Oda make them more animal-like challenge, give Carrot the round fluffy body of an actual bunny, don't just slap a fluffy tail and some ears and call it a day, I want a bunny Mink that's like Peter Rabbit, but considering that Oda's... preference as to drawing females, I'm not expecting a miracle

Caesar Clown - it might be influenced by his laugh, but I genuinely sigh whenever this guy comes on screen, his appearance does him No Favors, absolutely no drip whatsoever, he’s so difficult to stand on screen so I won’t talk about him more, I just have an irrational hatred for him

Kozuki Momonosuke - more of a ‘wistful sigh of what could’ve been’ than anything, I just think it would be cool to have Momo be near Toki’s height and Hiyori similar to Oden.

undercover secret agents negan smith x fem!reader pretending to be a sugar daddy and his much younger sugar baby to infiltrate a society of filthy rich criminals.

the agency thought it was the smartest way to get through w this mission. it was the perfect roles for them, negan who was a highly experienced agent and their young and full of energy newer addition to the team.

reader wanted to protest abt how sexist it was to have that role pushed onto her, but quickly accepted her fate when she realised she could live out all her fantasies and maybe get to keep the shit her "sugar daddy" will buy w the country's money. So she smiled wide and sharp, and skipped out of the meeting room while swinging the file in her hands, excited to study her new identity and role before packing her things and hopping on the next private jet to Milan.

negan felt a little nervous abt how excited his partner was, and felt that this assignment was not going to be easy.

the day of the flight, negan was early and waiting by the jet, arms crossed and looked too handsome to be annoyed at the crack of dawn. sunglasses perched on his black and grey hair, wearing a plain white t-shirt and black jeans.

just perfect, his partner was fucking late.

however, when she finally arrived, he couldn't even tell her off because she came out of the car wearing bedazzled low rise jeans with uggs boots, the tightest and tiniest baby tee negan has ever seen on someone and a pair of sunglasses perched on her nose. All she did was snap her fingers and the staff ran to her things from the trunk car as she casually made her way to negan, as if she wasn't already 30 minutes late.

"Hey, daddy," She greeted, landing a sticky kiss to the corner of his mouth and walking up the stairs, her sickly sweet perfume wafting behind her and Negan couldn't breathe.

"You're 30 minutes late, girl!" He called after her, running up the short flight of stairs to enter the jet, completely ignoring the staff greeting him as he glared at his supposedly sugar baby.

He saw her take off her shades and putting them in her handbag, getting comfy in her seat, already ripping a bag of peanuts open. Negan sat next to her, his wide shoulders squeezing her against the window, "What the fuck was that all about?"

She rolled her eyes and dramatically turned her whole body to face him, "I'm in character, and since you seem to have forgotten already, considering you're an old man who should've retired last Christmas, I'll remind you; I'm your sugar baby, spoiled rotten, a little stupid and immature, m'kay?" She flashed her perfect sharp teeth to him, batting her thick eyelashes as negan was left speechless.

He stared at her young and audacious face for a long time, then glared at her as she was popping salted peanuts in her mouth, looking at him like the cat that got the cream.

"Oh, I get it now," He said, nodding once and brushed her hair away from her neck, thumbing at the untouched skin there, "I should spank your little ass raw for being so disrespectful to your daddy."

She frowned, jutting her lower lip out, "No, you can't!"

"I can and I will," He said as she dramatically gasped, grabbing onto his arm and hugged it to her chest, squeezing the big arm against her tits, "Please, please don't!"

"Be good and everything will go well." He hummed, pinching her cheek.

And they both knew in that moment that he wasn't talking about the spanking, but the whole mission. All she had to do was be good and follow the rules and everything will go as planned.

back at the agency, their mission was observed for safety purposes, but also just for entertainment back at the offices because everyone gets a kick of watching a surveillance footage of reader, as the sugar baby throwing a tantrum at the mall because she changed her mind and wanted the other bag and would not go home if her sugar daddy, or as they know him as; agent negan smith, doesn't buy it for her. So he drags her inside the mall, back to the store to get her the ridiculously expensive bag. and it turns out that she threw a tantrum after noticing a sniper on a building and had to think of a way to get him inside without raising suspicion.

things happen like that all the time, where she has to think of ways to keep them both safe. like refusing to leave the taxi until she's done fixing her makeup and making negan wait outside with an umbrella until a high profile criminal leaves the building so they can safely go back inside.

reader who whines and begs and cries and is hella dramatic when she doesn't get what she wants, would purposely storm out in the middle of dinner because why hasn't her sugar daddy taken her to Bali too?? Absolutely unforgivable!! How dare he!! She storms out and everyone at the table is laughing at him while she sneaks around the villa and bugs it until she comes back to the table and says she forgives him because she just saw the money transfer he did to her bank account.

reader who acts dumb and gets away with going to places where she's not allowed to be in because why is she in the kitchen while a bunch of hitmen are planning to kill this guy's nephew?? oh she was looking for the room w the best lighting! duh!!

negan who ends up shooting someone in their rented summer house, and that someone broke in to kill them after raising suspicion and he wraps the body in the carpet, cleans the blood and reader scrambles to spray the place with her £100 perfume to mask the scent. and if someone comes in and notices a drop of blood on the floorboards, she'll just gasp, bring her hands between her legs and say, "I forgot to wear undies under my dress! and I'm on my periods, nooo!!" and they believe her.

Reader who ends up fighting a killer behind a bush in the gardens of a 5 star restaurant, she gets hit in the throat and can't speak properly because of it. when negan eventually finds her, they go back to the table w a human trafficker and an oil tycoon, they ask her abt what could've happened to her voice, and she shrugs, sighs and says, "He forgot I had a sensitive throat, that always happens, It'll get better in a few days." And Negan tries to act cool, but all he can do is chug his glass of wine as their guests leer at her hungrily as she stabs at her salad.

when she gets even in more tussles w hitmen and killers, she comes out of the fights bruised up, so naturally, when negan and her have to appear somewhere to their new friends parties, her bruises are noticed. but the only explanation she's giving them is a night spent w her daddy w her tied to the bed and slapped until she's raw. she's not shy. and pretty graphic too. as to make them not ask any more questions.

and when they're sneaking around somewhere when they're clearly not meant to be. when negan is keeping watch standing behind her while she's on her knees, picking a door lock and they hear someone coming up the stairs pretty quickly. she doesn't have time to get up, so negan holds her head in his big hand and shoves her face in his crotch right as she unzipped his trousers, holding on to his legs as he presses her back against the door. when they're caught, he acts surprised and quickly puts himself back together as she giggles, hiding behind him as they run down the stairs hand in hand.

"You do that to me again and I'll kill you," She hisses when they're far enough.

"Oh, you don't mean that, I know you grew quite fond of me. I see the way you look at me when you think I'm not looking."

"Yeah, uhuh, whatever, keep dreaming, grandpa." She sticks her tongue out and crosses her arms over her chest as he rolls his eyes and chuckles.

I mean. Olympias was stoned to death by the families of people she had executed in her life. In public. I think of all the Greek women in politics that ever existed, she certainly wasn't the nicest, most ethical, most enjoyed ruler. The crux of handling Olympias' reign while not being sexist is acknowledging that the men of that time were all also doing the same thing. That does not make it any less insane what Olympias did. I even clarify in this post that in Fate's rendition that Olympias is even more power hungry and cruel compared to the IRL version. I also explicitly said "Allegedly" when I discussed the poisoning of Arridaeus, this acknowledges that it's not something concretely known as historical fact but is relevant because we are discussing Olympias' and how Iskandar's family life has been up until then. It's a relevant idea.

I understand what your concerns are, but the issue is that beyond the Arridaeus-poisoning speculation, Olympias was known to poison and execute tons of people for the sake of political maneuvering, was known to be manipulative, etc. This is not... like, absolutely the recantations by male scholars that call her a witch and a woman motivated by jealousy and etc. etc. attributing it uniquely to her femininity, that's sexist and stupid, I agree. But Olympias was not a Just Ruler in history nor was she known for kindness and fairness and she also wasn't known for Not being power hungry. This isn't any different from any other male ruler of that time so it's good to acknowledge that, but the fact is, in the context of Alexander, in the context of how he grew up and what environment he grew up in, and the shaping of the beginning of his reign as well as the events that happened during the War of the Diadochi after his death, it is frankly impossible to not mention Olympias' actions and their effects on the world back then. Like it just doesn't. Make any sense to say "she was just being a woman in a complicated political situation" and call it a day, there were actions that she actively took that made things Worse.

Olympias’ relevance to Fate and Iskandar and Faker’s stories part 1

Both Alexander and Faker were raised by Olympias, and that’s why they are the kinds of people that they are, and why they lived the lives they had to live. Although Faker never met him when he was young, she was raised with the intent to protect him and to be devoted to him her entire life. That was her sole purpose as given to her by Olympias. So to understand both of those characters… you have to understand the environment that living with Olympias was. The deeply entrenched familial drama of Alexander the Great.  

Where to even start with Olympias… 

I’ll skip talking about the massive amount of mystery/mysticism surrounding Alexander that there’s no way he could’ve escaped for now. But to sum up: the amount of mysticism surrounding his entire life was so deeply entrenched that there was fundamentally no way he could have lived his life with human expectations or treatment. From the time of his conception to even now, he was considered a sort of demigod. 

So let’s talk about Olympias and the conspiracies surrounding her and her general type of personality for a moment. 

Olympias was a princess before she married Philip II. She was the eldest daughter of Neoptolemus I of Epirus. Her marriage to Philip II was largely political, but it’s said that Philip II was in love with her when he met her on an island where the two of them were engaging in the rites of the Mysteries of Cabeiri, two cthonic deities related to Hephaestus. 

Olympias had two children with Philip II – Alexander III and Cleopatra. However, Philip II had a child from a previous marriage, a son named Philip III Arridaeus. Alexander was fond of Arridaeus, his half-brother. To cement Alexander’s position as the only rightful heir to the throne, as he was prophecied to be, Olympias allegedly poisoned Arridaeus at one point and left him intellectually disabled and unfit to rule. This did not diminish the relationship between Alexander and Arridaeus, as he was still fond of his brother despite Olympias’ actions, and took him along on his campaigns to protect him from being used as a political tool and to keep him safe.

Philip II took another wife referred to as Cleopatra-Eurydice. Eurydice was the niece of the general Attalus. Eurydice and Philip II had a daughter (and possibly a son), and Olympias grew fearful that her power would be threatened. Olympias was not well-liked. She was known to be a member of the orgiastic Cult of Dionysus who introduced snake-worship into the rites, and was known to sleep with snakes in her bed. 

Many people were assuming that with Philip II’s new marriage to Eurydice that he would have a new, proper heir to the kingdom of Macedon, which infuriated Alexander as well, to the point of one episode at the new marriage’s wedding banquet, during which Attalus openly begged the gods for a lawful successor to the throne which so aggravated Alexander that he threw his cup at Attalus’ head and yelled “What am I then, a bastard?”. Philip II rose up to go and kill Alexander but was so drunk that he tripped and fell, prompting Alexander to reply “See there, the man who makes preparations to pass out of Europe into Asia, overturned in passing from one seat to another.” 

After this, Alexander and Olympias went into voluntary exile (but an exile nonetheless, not permitted to return). After six months, a family friend helped mediate the situation and allowed both Alexander and Olympias to return home. But Olympias was still not well-received, and Alexander as the proper heir was still not guaranteed. As a Persian satrap offered his daughter to marry Arridaeus, Olympias and several of Alexander’s friends believed that this was a move intended to make Arridaeus the heir to the throne. Alexander sent a messenger named Thessalus to protest and say that the daughter should be married to a proper heir, like Alexander… and when Philip II found out about this, he grew angry, 1) saying Alexander deserves better (!?!) 2) exiling four of Alexander’s friends and having Thessalus brought back in chains. 

In this same year Philip II had his and Olympias’ daughter Cleopatra married to Olympias’ brother Alexander I of Epirus to ally himself. As the situation mounted against Olympias and lead to her isolation, coincidentally, the incident with Pausanias (a former member of Philip II’s personal bodyguards who had been disgraced by being raped during an argument with another general, Attalus, and resulted in Philip II failing to punish Attalus for his crime) was escalating and it’s said that Olympias had a personal hand in Philip II’s assassination by Pausanias, supposedly providing horses for Pausanias to escape on. 

As Alexander took the throne and launched his conquest, Olympias was the queen-regent de facto of Macedon in his absence along with Antipater, and was very well disliked, to the point where Antipater sent a very long letter full of complaints to Alexander (to which Alexander, despite his cordial but souring relationship with his mother, remarked “One tear from my mother would cancel a thousand letters like that”). 

During the Wars of the Diadochi after Alexander the Great’s death, Olympias attempted to continue her control of Macedon, but the general Cassander captured her after several campaigns. She was to be executed, but he called forth all of the families of those whom she had killed and Olympias was stoned to death in public and left to rot, being ordered to not have a funeral. 

So where to even go from here…. 

It is apparently that in Fate’s rendition of Olympias that she is very power-hungry and cunning, willing to do anything to ensure Alexander’s success and her control over Macedonia. Fate!Iskandar even has his natural enemy denoted as his mother, Olympias. 

To have a life that is so hell-bent on being successful that failure is not an option is torment. To have somebody actively killing your other family members in order to cement your success will no doubt have an effect on how you grow up. 

In the Alexander Romance, Olympias’ behind-the-scenes actions are still present, as her snake-worship is romanticized to that of a coupling with an Egyptian Magus-King Nectanebo under the guise of her conceiving a child with the Libyan god Ammon (rather than Philip II), and Alexander’s complicated family drama is still present, with Alexander killing Nectanebo and Nectanebo confessing that he is his biological father as he dies. 

Basically …………… No matter where you go ……….. Alexander’s family is fucked up. Both Philip II and Olympias share the blame. I will write later about how there was no way for Alexander to live a normal human life later but I need to express how politically charged all of the family drama was and how much like murder and humiliation was surrounding so much of it from the start.

Interviewer: Sounds fun! I love that! Is there any insight into the movie that you can give us?

Y/n: Sure! If any of you were wondering, this is going to be very different from any portrayal of Batman and Catwoman that you've seen or read. Obviously because Selina Kyle is a lot younger than Bruce in this adaptation which is a plot within itself. This Selina, and because she is younger, her story has changed, is a street rat or stray cat. She lives on the streets, and her story in this, is similar to that of her portrayal in the show, Gotham. She meets Bruce as she is trying pickpocket off him out in the open. Then, it goes from there.

Interviewer: Wow! That certainly is a must-watch. Now, I hate to get deep all of a sudden, but have you seen the comments regarding your casting?

Y/n: Yes, I have actually. A lot of them are for disgusting middle-aged men, so I don't really bother with them. I knew what I was getting into when I auditioned.

Interviews: You also get to work with Matt Smith again. Did you know that he was casted as Bruce or did you find out after you got the call?

Y/n: You know what's funny? Zack told me that Matt told him not to tell me. So, I didn't know until our table read!

Interviewer: Oh my god! What?!

Y/n: Yeah! And I hadn't seen him in so long that I almost jumped across the table to hug him.

Interviews: Aw!

Y/n: A lot of people also would say that they felt bad for me because I'm the love interest to someone twice my age, but I've known Matt for a long time. He worked with my father in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. I played young Rhaena in House of the Dragon. He's a family friend, a beloved friend. I trust him.

Y/n: I understand the public's concerns though. I did just turn 24 earlier this year. The age gap is big, but it is strictly for storytelling purposes.

Interviews: There you have it. I loved talking with you today.

Y/n: Go see Batman in theaters near you coming this December!

the annoying thing abt radblr is that if you ever mention ways that some male folks are marginalized, even in the most lukewarm way, people will immediately remove your radfem card and flush it down the toilet. and if that doesn't reaffirm the rightwing belief that feminists are extremists living in an echo chamber, idk what would. sometimes, shockingly enough, discussions in a corner of your activism community might go beyond just talking shit about males and actually interact with the male community meaningfully, or at the very least call out sexist, racist and ableist shit that some radfems perpetuate against marginalized men & transfems. it makes sense for a gnc detrans woman with trans friends to also care about gnc people. and that includes gnc male people, weirdly enough, because they face things i don't. and when i notice disparities in how radfems describe gnc male experiences and how my male friends actually describe their experiences, of course i'd want to jump in and explain the reality. of course i wouldn't just sit by when i can see rightwing men always foaming at the mouth to harm transfems & gnc bio men in the corner while radfems misrepresent and downplay the suffering gnc males go through. it just seems so pathetic and immature to stubbornly refuse to allow anyone to call out sexism & gncphobia in our spaces. it makes us look really bad, gyns. it makes me cringe. we can do so much better than that, and i have faith we will moderate our spaces better in the future. we should be for justice first and foremost. for female folks, of course, but also for everyone marginalized under the patriarchy. you can keep your horse blinders on, but once i know someone is suffering, truly suffering, from something preventable... i just have to play the enjolras card and stand up however long i can for comrades. break gender roles! fuck patriarchs! nuance above all mes amies. we don't need to chide anyone who delves into male topics to be The Best Feminists. we analyze all kinds of things for the sake of the sisterhood, to figure out the patriarchy puzzle. we all have our own rad journey!
