spoilers for chihayafuru’s ending but Oh My God

like genuinely I was so sure chihaya wld end up with arata especially after he’s the first to confess and she’s giddy about it for like a month after. and also he literally confesses it again to suo at the meijin match?? but it was so satisfying on a narrative level that like taichi who’s been by her side this entire time, supported her in building the mizusawa club… the taichi whose entire arc from the beginning was struggling with the idea that you’re destined to lose because there will always be someone better than you. and then the decision to walk away from the club, disconnect his experience of karuta from his feelings for chihaya, find his own genuine appreciation for it and then also get invested in a different karuta community with suo and sudou?

and after all that work, taking it on himself to fight against that deep down conviction that he’s always going to lose, so that he can challenge arata head on, make arata truly respect him and mend their relationship as well… and then still make the choice to show up and support both of them at the master queen matches. that moment where he says “ill be back next year for the title of meijin” LIKE. TAICHI YOUR NARRATIVE ARC!!!! looking head on at something you failed at and still going for it again!!! and the moment where they run down the stairs and hug him!!! genuinely the first shoujo love triangle that ive been fully invested in bc they genuinely all love each other and refuse to leave anyone behind!!!

and after all that, when he’s truly made peace with chihaya’s rejection and his fear that they’ll leave him behind… even made the decision to leave tokyo… she finally chooses him? an absolutely incredible moment. idk just so satisfying for the guy whose entire arc has been losing or being second best to finally get the one thing he’s wanted this whole time. and chihaya realising that represented by the taichi card being the winning card. the guy who helped her build up mizusawa karuta club and take them to nationals twice!!! who brought her to see arata the first time!!! who never stopped looking for her. it’s just so.

Ok so uh I cut my finger somehow? After I got done washing my face I went to open idolm@ster and was looking for what song to play when I caught a glance at my hand and there was this red thing coming out of my middle finger and I was like huh I don't remember eating anything red today AND THEN IT HIT ME THAT I WAS BLEEDING 😭 it was a lot of blood too like a concerning amount so I was like okay maaaybe I should do something about this xD and I went to get a napkin and some cool water from the sink to put pressure on it

(for some reason though the sink wouldn't give cold water?? Only hot and warm--which was weird because the sink usually always gives cold water??? Like I have to wait a while for it to get warmer most of the time but this time it was already warm >:[ THE ONE TIME I NEED IT TO BE COLD OMG and I didn't have TIME to sit there and wait my finger was bleeding!!! So I tried the bath water and the result was the same! LIKE WHYYYY I did get a tiny bit of cool water eventually though)

So now I have this napkin wrapped around my finger and the bleeding has stopped mostly (cold water makes it sting a lil but that's okay) I wish I had a first aid kit or something so I could put something else on it and hopefully keep it from getting infected but unfortunately I don't :( so I gotta to use what I have. I'll probably grab some tape and keep napkin around my cut for the time being. I'm mostly just wondering what cut my finger??? Like all I did was wash my face and after that is when I noticed it. I didn't touch anything sharp to my knowledge and I don't think my nail caused a cut like that so I am very very lost :'D hopefully I'll find the true culprit one day. How dare whatever object did this >:( now I can only type with one hand smh
