i think mostly we as a culture need to stop pretending media is for us and instead recognize that it's for the people making it. "the show didn't do the thing I wanted it to" is so not the point. did it do what the people making it wanted it to do? did it tell the story they were trying to tell? than it was successful. if that doesn't align with what you wanted to happen, don't get up in arms about it. don't badmouth the creators and throw a tantrum. that's what fan works are for. the text is the text, and it told the story it was telling. you wouldn't be like "ugh shakespeare is insane for act v btw like there was no reason for juliet to kill herself she should've just waited and then her and romeo could have been together wtf this ruined the whole play" like no!!! the themes were there the set-up was there the foreshadowing was there shakespeare did what he intended to. just because it wasn't a happy ending and just because you thought it should've went differently doesn't mean it was bad. read a fic where juliet lives and move on.

finally had time to play archon quest, and it was really good! SPOILERS for 5.1.

the obvious standout was the war section, it really surprised me bc i dont remember invasion even in like srs business games like dai, bg3, wotr, etc that had so effectively impacted the fear, tragedy, hectic battlefield, feeling helpless at the scale of it. maybe mass effect 3, but they ruined it in other ways.

usually its like. there are groups of enemies all around the map, the npcs are running around and you save them, yeah there are a lot of corpses, but it doesnt feel that meaningful bc there are corpses around all the time anyway in these kinds of games, and you just move from one group of enemies to another, clearing the map. if there are checks of where you went first to see who survives, it can be even worse bc then you will have players make very specific step by step checklists and find any exploits that detail which is the optimal order of doing things so you save whoever you want, with best loot. so it ends up feeling very detached, bc you sit there with wiki open on another screen, weighing costs and benefits. even if you don't, the usual reload and the set events and *how* players moves around the map give much sense of control, you know you can get best outcome if you wanted and you have your priorities.

but here, first of all, you have an option to choose where to move, but it will move time, so you can't just clear the entire map. and the fact that the "missions" do not have playable characters you already know at stake and instead have npcs you don't know at the beginning ends up working better, at least for me, bc choosing where to go next is not just benefit analysis bc you get best loot or get to save your pookie. instead its a choice between options which are equal to you as a player, so it feels like making personal decision instead of just optimizing in-game strats. and so then when you see the missions you didn't go to turn dead or even go here and everyone is already gone, it just hits different. so the lack of prior information or any worldstate checks ended up working much better, at least for me, to make this an emotional decision instead of rational calculation, and so it affects emotions first.

how they used UI to subvert expectations is also insane, like you see that stat screen of percentages of abyss corruption and so on and you're like oh, i know how it works, its bad now, but i will be clearing the map and it will get better :) and then it keeps getting WORSE and WORSE, instead of doing lil completionist clear of all "!" marks on the map, they go dead, map gets swallowed by the abyss fog, it really feels like chaotic dashing between whatever points left and feeling relief when you see at least *someone* survived at the next one. incredible use of the medium in a way only video games can accomplish to build dread and anxiety.

special shoutout to paimoin's voice actress, i was always saying its not her fault paimon is annoying, its direction, and now she *finally* was given material to work with and she fucking CRUSHED it. like, when we find a baby saurian who is a sole survivor hiding, with corpses of its family all around, and paimon tries to cheer it up and direct it to the safety, her voice is tangibly wavering and filled with tears, but she's trying to keep it together bc she needs to encourage baby saurian, despite knowing we don't have time to stay with him and so we don't now if he'll survive?? insane. brilliant performance. and then when we fly next to the canopy tried, visibly overtaken by abyss, and paimon cries out, a single shuddering cry, half-choked and distressed, instead of going "oh no, it looks like abyss has taken over canopy tribe! thats bad!" like writers usually have her talk. and then when after a pause she quietly says that this war might be too much for paimon, and traveler encourages her and she rallies back, like that lil scene made me like paimon and believe in their friendship more than literal years of her incessant yapping and looking into camera going "we're the bestest friends!"

but also the fact that you can get to know the NPCs you managed to save, and meet them again, they have their own lil storylines, their own optional checks which are not forced on you, but if you do manage to help them , you get to meet them back in safety and it feels so good, gives players enough feeling of agency that your actions DO matter. very good handling of scales, the grand country wide invasion swallowing entire map in despair vs personal, individual level victories. you save whoever you can and every life is equally precious.

Azul's mother and stepfather who know their son could do no wrong, so they're shocked and appalled when you start accusing him of something so disgusting. How dare you accuse him of such a horrible crime! He would never! Your parent(s) sits down with the Ashengrottos to discuss and hopefully smooth things over. Azul is so sickeningly sweet and cordial throughout the entire thing while you look scared out of your skin. You insist he's lying, that you're telling the truth, that this is what happened. But then his stepfather threatens to take the matter to court. He knows the law. In the end, you're forced to drop it because your family can't afford a trial right now.

On your way out, Azul smiles at you. Even at twenty-something, he's still their spoiled brat. So entitled! Because he got everything he could ever want from his mother when he was a child, he automatically assumes he'll have you without any problems. But you just had to reject him in elementary. You just had to make a fool out of him in front of the class. It's your fault he couldn't have the one thing he's always wanted. But now he's so much better than his past self, and this time he's not taking no for an answer.

I think it would be a similar situation with Riddle. His mother refuses to believe her son could do any wrong, and the fact that you—some slut who shouldn't be near her Riddle to begin with—have the gall to throw around such wild accusations... You must have been raised so poorly to forgo basic manners and social etiquette. Riddle apologizes profusely for causing such trouble, but his story isn't the truth. You watch him lie to his mother's face and she believes him because he's Riddle Rosehearts, the paragon of pristine perfection. Of course if you and your parent(s) continue to press the matter, Mrs. Rosehearts will threaten to sue and when you're up against the Queendom of Roses's most renowned magical doctor with her prodigious son who could never do any wrong... Surely it's impossible from the start.

Riddle does feel bad. Somewhat. Deep down he knows it's wrong, but he's never had anything special before. Everything has always been chosen for him. He's never had friends. He's never had any hobbies. He's never had a life. And when he saw how radiantly you would shine while passing through campus with your group of friends, he just had to have you. You're like those forbidden strawberry tarts from his youth. He knows it's bad, but he can't help wanting to indulge even if it breaks rules. He's been so good. Surely he's allowed one treat! If it makes you feel any better, he was just as anxious as you were when he mixed that stuff into your drink.

And the twins... oh, the twins. >_< terrible. Their mother babies them incessantly. In canon, it's noted that she tends to call them frequently (nearly every day) because she worries. So she absolutely spoils them rotten. Those are her babies; of course she will! Papa Leech is just as adoring, I'm certain, but then I feel like his love is more of a "tough love" type. In any case, the twins won't accept the word no because they're so used to just getting things. Those sturgeon scales they proudly wear? Those were won through a fight. They want and then they take. It's simple.

So the fact that you'd tell either of them no... Unheard of. All of Floyd's smiley pretenses drop when you reject him. Jade can keep up his own placidity, if only to give you another chance so that you won't whine about how unfair it was in the aftermath: "Would you like to think more carefully about your decision?"

Whatever happens, you can't say or do anything. No one's going to speak ill against the Leech family. They can't. That's just how it is.

this isnt as long as before but i just cannot stop thinking about this, why i dislike story and lore boils down to these main point

--the ending feels unsatisfying as hell even if i ignore everything i dont like about how the game treated zelda and ganondorf, the ending itself just feels, despite being presented as super epic an touching, incredibly empty to me and part of it is that it feels like an unearned return to status quo of course i didnt think zelda would stay a dragon and i actually wanted to help her, which is why i kept trying to hunt down impa since she said shes gonna search for a way for us to help zelda, bc i wanted to!! i was eager to help her!

i fully hoped and kinda expected that thered either be some kind of dragon dungeon (think, the water dragon from okami) tho that would be difficult since you can get items from her so i ended up thinking before going into the end thered be a mission with impa (or at least given to you from her) where she found answers in ancient scripts (that she told you she would look through) and that you need to find a special lil thing that will help zelda undragonfy, like some sort of ultra secret forbidden enigma stone able to reverse dragon transformations kinda deal (golden opportunity to make you go and talk to the yiga bc they might know or even own some ancient texts) that youd keep in your inventory until the very end and after you kill dragondorf (pretty mortal for becoming an immortal dragon huh) you take it out and use it, undragonfying zelda and ending in a similar epic falling and paralel to the beginning way

... and instead impa stays in the house and only has a few repeating dialog boxes and does nothing and you cant do anything bc in the end you just get randomly teleported (and stripped of your clothing AGAIN) into some weird ethereal plane somehow?? with the ghost of long ass dead sonia and apparently not as gone as i thought rauru (seriously i felt sad when he went poof at the end of the tutorial but i guess i shouldnt have) awkwardly blasting dragon zelda with some magic tm and its all reversed no problem (heck me for caring i guess) turns out helping her was killing an evil guy we never really knew and mineru just kinda says lol its bc time and light magic i guess lol as an explanation

like i really wanted to go and help zelda! i was motivated to do it and spent HOURS trying to find impa again but i wasnt allowed to do anything bc zelda gets saved by some deus ex machina bs in the end anyway, what a fool i was, of course killing the evil guy is the solution to everything >:( (and no i dont care if its meant as in uwu sonia and rauru wanted to help one last time uwu bc it doesnt change how unsatisfying it was to watch it all just kinda happen)

--point two is just how much totk feels like its trying to REPLACE botw instead of being a sequel, its not building on anything of it its ripping out the fundation and building its own thing in its place, like i was so excited to see what happened to the titans, and all the sheikah tech what they mabe had done in all that time now that theres a tech enthusiastic girl as the head of the monarchy, maybe even find out more about them and instead its just all ... gone with not explanation? theres isnt even a LAME explanation, its just gone?? you never find out what the ancient energy actually was, and why there were concentrations of it in the regions with the ancient furnace (well heck it didnt even have anything to do with ganondorf actualyl bc that would have been too interesting) bc that was so intrigueing?? like yeah where DID it come from and why is it there ?? and oh suddendly hey look theres an even MORE ancient and even MORE advanced civilization thats way COOLER and BETTER than the ancient sheikah now, they also built stuff everywhere and have been here ALL ALONG cant you see its everywhere!! and its the only thing everyone cares about all of the sudden, all evdidence of the ancient sheikah tech was scraped of the earth so there literally only being some guardian parts on top of the hateno lab feels like an oversight now bc everything lese was to thourohgly wiped of the map- for no reason even?? like im totalls fine with it being useless and not working anymore but .... why remove it like it was wiped from history?? and then they have the gall to mention the happenings of botw like, twice in the entire game but still just give you the most basic summary of it mentioned on a sidenote with again not even a hint what happened to all of it

wouldnt there have been the golden opportunity to use it to access the new parts and map points that changed?? like a shrine thats fallen into the underground, an access to caves and the underground in the broken and collapsed elevator tube of a sheikah srhine?? maybe even a broken interior of an old shrine, like the room you get put into with the puzzle and where the monk once were broken and half overgrown in the udnerground? some left over construction site where you can see oh thats how the ancient sheikah got all that tech underground, bc they all had access to it and built it there to then rise up when its needed? maybe even making use of the old sonau sites since they frequnetly built their srhines within those ruins?? that the ancient sheikah found em and put the ruins to use? to research it and built their own stuff from it? it wouldnt have to have any focus, literally just part of the enviroment even

really everything totk does is like -forget botw ever happend, look how much cooler and better i am, who cares about sheikah stuff sonau are the new cool guys that came out of nowhere but now apparently have been everywhere all along actually-

i LOVE botw and with it feeling much more like its attempting to replace botw instead of building its story and world further every reference to botw i found felt like a slap in the face instead, oh look where the shrine of life used to be isnt even a hint left of sheikah tech somehow, and also right under it is the lake of healing filled with sonau structure bc ACTUALLY they were here FIRST bc they are so cool omg you guys

dare i say it feel a little like they wanted to make an entirely different version of botw basically, but wanted to reuse the map and models so they just said yeah uhhhh its totally a sequel yeah yeha that makes sense, its not erasing botw and doing essentiall the same thing again but bigger cooler and better (tm) its just uuh a ...sequel ye.

i suppose im kinda Different and Special about it bc of how i view inhos sexuality etc lol... i mentioned it briefly but to elaborate i dont really think he experiences attraction in the usual sense, probably if you removed them both from the context of the games he wouldnt have any particular interest in gihun. so its more of a combination of the mixed feelings of anger and hope that gihun inspires within him that creates the fixation.

i dont really think hes really obsessive in the way the fandom tends to characterise him as, in many ways i actually think that gihun is the slightly more obsessive of the two lol (considering inho tried to keep him away for a long time). i do think he singles gihun out tho, if all the other players are horses on a track then gihun is the one Real Person among them. and part of this is due to seeing himself within gihun, he represents to inho who he used to be before he submitted himself into the frontman role. i think theres a mixed sense of wanting to make gihun Understand and almost validate his beliefs, vs wanting gihun to prove him wrong and break him out of the life hes been living for the past decade.

i imagine that this fixation gets so strong over time that it kinda confuses him into mistaking the feelings for some weird sense of attraction. hes spent a LONG time repressing his emotions and not really seeing those around him as real that having gihun become such a prominent figure in his mind overwhelms him in a way that he cant really understand. staying as the frontman gives him a layer of separation but once he meets gihun in person properly that breaks down and kinda interferes with his plans a bit lolol. i dont think its enough to make him completely abandon his way of thinking but it does put a massive crack in it to be sureeee

UM. from gihuns pov its kinda hard to say much since he doesnt actually know inho at all. he barely knows anything about the frontman and in fact hates him, and is haunted by him too as evidenced by his nightmare. youngil on the other hand... it does seem like gihun really does feel a certain closeness to him, he had great trust in him despite their clashes and i think he will be torn up over his death.

HOWEVER i think that he actually just isnt in the right headspace to be thinking in terms of romance or anything at that point in the games, in part due to his ptsd and in part due to his focus on stopping the games. i imagine that if they met at a different time that gihun would probably fall for youngil (and maybe inho himself if it was pre-2015), but as it stands he unable to really think of anyone like that currently. and i definitely do not think that this will change once he sees inho for who he truly is, as much as inho might think he wants that :[

in general i think that the feelings between them are not so much love but instead a desperation to have someone to lean on after spending so long alone. and this can still have a sick intensity to it that i find veryyyy very appealing. theres a lot of tragedy in it in the sense that even if inhos feelings were real, gihun cld never reciprocate them... bc the person he loved was never real to begin with

Yo here's some questions about Wisp that I'm curious on

Is there a particular reason they put on their makeup?

What's their relationships like with the SMG4 crew in general?

Is there a song that you think represents them?

Do they like robots or is Mr. Puzzles just a special case?

What would they do for a Klondike bar?

What weapon would they use to fight someone with?

So Wisp is a multifandom OC and started off in TADC and he was a mime there but I just liked his make up so I kept it! In universe, he wears it bc of insecurities and its also his whole gimmick!

At current time: touchy at best... he and Meggy are slightly growing closer again- same with SMG4 and Mario never disliked them to begin with so they're kinda chill. He's exes with SMG3 and it was verrrrry messy. He doesnt speak to Tari much despite his friendship with Meggy, Bob makes him uncomfortable, he doesnt know how to react to Boopkins, Saiko he never talks to and Karen doesnt talk with him either.

I have an entire 100+ song playlist on Spotify called Silent Film you can probably look up with soooo many songs based around them and Puzzles but I define him as The Next Right Thing from Frozen 2... but also maybe Circus sung by Lindsay Mendez?

Puzzles is a very very special case considering Wisp is extremely demiromantic and only falls for people in specific circumstances, he may not have even loved SMG3 in the first place. He only went out with SMG3 because he asked. Puzzles makes him laugh and he makes Puzzles laugh! Mr. Puzzles makes him feel like a person, like he's important, valued, and that his performances are worthy of an audience. <3 He makes him feel so so safe and wanted around and supported :') i love of them-

They would put on anything other than the colours black white and grey.

So! This is interesting in concept but- Wisp uses his miming as his fighting skill! As long as he doesn't speak, he can mime anything onto the physical plane, though it stays invisible! The second he speaks or makes sound, the object disappears. So i suppose anything he can mime out!

One aspect of canon i tend to reject is the 'Kamukura also has ultimate luck' from dr3. It just doesnt make sense to me. You can't artificially engineer luck. You cant cultivate luck (there are superstitions and spiritual beliefs around luck but discarding that bc i dont think its what they had in mind), you can't teach it or learn it, it's not a skill. It's arguably not even a talent- though it is something that naturally occurs.

Characters like komaeda and naegi are outliers because of their luck, and are special because of it. Only accepted into hope's peak because thats the one thing they can't naturally measure- luck. You can try to study lucky individuals, and there is things to be learned from them- naegi and komaeda's luck cycles, for example, and the similarities and differences between how they function- but you just cant. Create someone who's lucky. You can't! It's the only thing that isn't a skill. You can utilise it skillfully (nagito utilising it in the 5th chapter of dr2 for example) but you cant artificially simulate it.

So i tend to ignore that claim. I WILL accept kamukura having incredible intuition, and a combination of his other talents simulating luck (fortune telling, analysis, prediction + a VERY heightened intuition etc) but him having Ultimate luck would defy the point of luck being included as a talent in hope's peak to begin with.

Don't take this as a hate, I don't have any problems with bakudeku or any other ship. But I feel like a lot of your guys 'confusion' comes from you missing the point and setup of the romance of Izuku and Ochako. You guys say that they're boring but what matters in the story is if it makes thematically sense or not. Izuku and Ochako don't have to be at each others throats or be rivals for them to be engaged in a romantic relationship at the end. Their dynamic makes sense because they've always supported each other and uplift one another. Ochako was literally one of the first people to accept him and treat him kindly. From that point their relationship increased and their dynamic turned into something more. It's often that we fall for the people who treat us with kindness and genuenity.

I appreciate bakugo's development but like, he literally bullied Deku for years. Yes you can argue he made up for his actions later, but a lof of his actions already happened, and Bakugo's actions for Izuku during the story comes off as him trying to redeem his past mistakes. Even All Might points this out by saying that Bakugo wants to help Izuku because of his past actions. It's great to see him develop but I don't buy the notion that they could be something more than friends who managed to fix their crap dynamic from their childhood days.

It also doesn't make any sense for Ochako's feelings to be discarded narratively because she's been consistently portrayed as selfless and a good person. That's why the story gives her a nice closure where her feelings are returned.

We cant keep having the same argument over and over again. We just cant, Im going to just ignore the "he bullied him and he is just trying to redeem himself", tons of ppl already talked about that. I appreciate you wanting to not insult shippers and all of that, but I dont really understand why you send this anyway -you want to understand the perspective some of us have?-.

believe me, most of us knew about the "setup" -many of us have been here since the beginning-. Personally I had no doubts about it becoming canon for years bc "boy and girl and they are cute and this is shonen", expecting more development in the future -however, then their moments started looking more and more platonic, Izuku's feelings became vague in terms of romance and ochako's character was made to match himiko instead of him, making them look like friends with similar goals, but in the end needing to work on their own instead of together. I see his arc, I see her arc, and the conclusion I get isnt "they should date/need to date/deserve to date each other", but that Izuku really appreciates her and Ochako grieves Himiko in unhealthy ways, needing support.

The problem is the main thing this ship has going on is "she helps him a lot", to the point that thats exactly everything Deku has to say about her importance -in the two character charts that mention relationship status, while Ochako's involves romance and denial his is the exact same, "she helps me a lot". That's just not enough to convince most ppl of actually enjoying this pair outside of "its shonen what do you expect", specially considering they took away Ochako's storyline to be the literal same as deku's -they both lost their villains they both dont ask for help they both isolate they both prefer others' happiness over their own, etc. They dont have to be enemies or fight, but they need depth of some short -making them just have the same idea of heroism, not bc of the other but just bc their personalities and their relationships with other characters, doesnt make it profound or interesting. Its not like what Himiko said, about imitating the ones you love, bc they just naturally are like that even before they met each other.

What's that "more" their relationship became? For the most part we see how Ochako struggles to work as a hero when it involves him, and only gets to actually move on her own when her focus shifts onto Himiko instead -she literally says she cant move when Deku was in danger and Sir Nighteye needed to be saved-, and from deku there isnt much -we lose most of his thoughts, but he behavior tell us he has no problem supporting her like with his other friends. In 431 we are told how they dont really talk that much anymore, and how Deku, the oblivious and flustered nerd, tells her she he wants to talk more from now on, and blushes when she falls on him. Then they have a bro hand shake.

How do you want anyone to be actually invested in a main relationship for a story whose main thing going on is "they are kind to each other". Or in real life, im sorry but I do believe its not good to send the message of falling in love with the literal first person that helps you and is nice to you is the way to go -being kind should just be normalized, and I think the end of BNHA agrees with this notion.

I dont understand why ppl believe her feelings needed "closure" (as if she didnt talk about it with Himiko), yet agree that 431 gives her that -she doesnt confess anything. She doesnt go for what she wants and tells him "I love you". She agrees with talking with him more -she didnt confess. I know some ppl believe this is a true confession, but this is nothing like what Himiko showed her before -a literal one, without any doubts, saying her feelings with her whole face. She. thought about wanting to talk to him more, he then told her that, and she said "I was thinking the same!", so how does that give her romantic feelings any closure when theres a huge chance of plausible deniability?

You dont have to share any of these opinions, but I just dont see how the "main pair" is still just "oh yeah they could date", this isnt real life where some ppl like to date copies of themselves or just decide to do so bc they kinda like each other -the narrative has to actually tell us how this not only makes sense, but how it fits both characters' arcs. And giving her all the romance just makes it look one sided.

I dont really need you to answer any of these questions, and I wont discuss the complexities I see in bkdk, their storylines, and how the narrative has treated Katsuki more like Izuku's heart than a rival with some history, I already talked about it -instead, I want you to know something simple about the internet: if you dont like it, block it, even if you dont particularly hate it. Reading the first line of the ask, it comes off as kinda insulting coming here just to explain to me why I "shouldn't be confused" about 431 basically. I know about the "setup", I know about the bullying, I know about her supporting him, and I know about the redemption, you dont have to go and tell me any of this-.

You dont know about my account, my thoughts or the perception I have about any of these ships, I think you probably went into any bkdk account to say this bc idk, you "had" to "clarify" how "great" it was for these characters this, and how bkg just wanted to redeem himself (as if his character hasn't show over and over again how much his focus is on Izuku in general, more than him and any redemption, which is exactly what separates him too from the type of redemption other characters have tried to pull off), but believe me, most of us already know about this arguments and dont agree with them partially or entirely. this is an unpopular opinion, but as someone with a slade wilson special interest (derogatory), i kinda hate the drugging retcon johns did in TT03. it doesn't make sense for something slade would do, and it actively goes against his characterization ( his relationship to his kids ). and johns admitted that he only did it for shock value. not attacking you or anything, i just came across your blog with a post talking about it and i wanted to share my feelings on it. feel free to ignore. :)

ooh this is so interesting bc as someone with a rose wilson special interest (<33333) the drugging retcon is one of my favorite parts of rose's story

i havent read many deathstroke comics besides the ones with rose in them but i totally get where youre coming from. i think that a lot of what we see with slade pre-tt03 is pushing away his kids because he knows that hes a bad influence on their lives, like when he meets rose and immediately starts yelling at her and blaming her for her moms death bc he wants her to hate him so she doesnt get involved in his life. i think a really interesting thing about slade as a character is that he really does love his kids but the way he expresses it makes it almost indistinguishable from hating them. not to mention even though slade is manipulative, i think that literally drugging someone is not the kind of manipulation that he does. its way more straightforward than his usual deal

that being said. i still love the drugging plotline. i think that at the very least its a great representation of how he goes back and forth with everyone in his life, by constantly pushing them away then irrationally deciding that he wants them in his life again. idk how much of that was there pre-tt03 but you definitely see that a lot afterwards, not even just about the drug. and at the beginning of tt03, literally every single person slade has ever been close to is dead. and the only person in his family left is rose. so i can totally see how he would realize that there is literally no one, then he would go after the only person left for him. and since rose already had such a low opinion of him from all their past interactions, there is pretty much no option for him other than drugging her

i do really like the "original" story in tt03 #0.5 that didnt mention the drug, i think it was Extremely necessary to show her joining him by choice at first. and it was all because he manipulated her into joining him by creating the exact scenario that would attach her to him. BUT i also think the drug was necessary because without it, theres no way she wouldve stuck with him. she still cared about the titans AND she had strong morals from her mother, so she wouldnt have done anything that he wanted her to do. and i think slades idea of "being a father" or "raising a child" is to create her in his own image, so he didnt know how to have her in his life without teaching her to be like him. and since she had no intention of being anything like him, he needed to drug her to do it

basically in my mind slade is so fucked up at this point that he just wants someone in his life and the only way to do that is to drug rose because she has no interest in being involved with him at all. i will concede that the part in fresh hell where slade literally holds her down to drug her while she screams and tries to get away is a bit much. but also it rocks

anyways the reason i like the drugging plotline so much for rose is that i feel like it completely defines who she is from that point on And completely defines her relationship with slade

because she didnt have a Great relationship with the heroes, but she was mostly on their good side before that, and overall just didnt care about them and didnt want to be involved. but then she gets drugged, and everyone that she had become somewhat friends with saw that she was drugged and no one did anything. so then afterwards shes trying to be on the same side as all of these people who did nothing when she was drugged and who dont trust her because of what she did on the drug that they did nothing to save her from. so it puts her at an awkward place in the hero community where none of them really want her around but they put up with her, and she wants to be a part of it but knows she wont be accepted so she pushes them away too. not to mention!!!! unlike a lot of other heroes, shes never really been driven to help people. most of the reason shes ever been a hero is because she doesnt want to be a villain, and being the daughter of deathstroke means that theres kind of no other option for her. its either kill people or be protected by the titans, and being protected by the titans means being on their team

and with slade!!!! like i said earlier, she literally had no relationship with slade before then other than thinking that he was an asshole and blaming him for lili's death. but ouughghuhhg. after the drug she Remembers what its like to be devoted to him like that. and she feels like all her problems can be blamed on him (true) so she basically becomes obsessed because shes mad at him for what he did, but then she also cares about him because he was her family for at least a few months (the timeline is unclear, i think grayson said that it was just a couple months but i usually think of it as around a year). and!!! she did really feel like slade cared about her at that time (batgirl #64 you will always be famous) because he protected her and trained her and looked after her and she got all of his attention during that time. so before tt03 she didnt see him as a father at all because she had really only met him twice ever. BUT while shes being drugged she knows what its like to be His Daughter and part of her still loves him for that even though she doesnt want to

i know this isn’t really a telling detail because we don’t know anything about these people and don’t know their personal feelings for one another BUT oliver, aisha, and kenny did share a sweet moment where in between takes oliver took their hands in his and they all seemed to share a little moment just the three of them- i imagine that even though rg has been there since s2 and anirudh since s4 the 3 of them have been there since the very first episode and (at least in my interpretation as a viewer) all seem to have a special bond over that

not to mention that oliver and aisha are very similar to each other and naturally gravitate towards each other as friends whereas rg and kchoi are more similar themselves- it’s also clear that aisha and kenny are close so it’s hard to believe that oliver and kenny wouldn’t be when they all seem to get along like fire (pun absolutely intended)

oliver and aisha also just seem to be much more straight-laced no nonsense on set actors than kenny and ryan who like to joke around and have fun, so we can’t really judge things based on a video where they had been filming since at least 6AM, and were all probably tired from monotonous reshoots of the same scene over and over- as someone who’s worked in the industry, shoot days like that (where you are only shooting one scene that will probably only take up 30 seconds of screentime but you have to film it over and over again to get different angles/coverage) can be very tedious and people have different ways of dealing with that tediousness, and from what we know about the cast as people their behavior makes sense.

i think everyone (fans) is just stressed out about the whole thing and people are (consciously or not) looking for things to get worked up over, and it’s just turning everything into a stressful mess online; this is why i personally hate how public all of this bts is and how much we seem to be getting lately because all it does is creates tension which is why they put the ban on bts back in 8a to begin with… i just wish they’d keep up that philosophy now.

I loved the Knights Trip album!! It has such a wonderful vibe to it. I played it while cleaning my room and I think I spent more time dancing than actually cleaning lol I had a huge smile on my face while listening to the entirety of it :) Will a 100% play this during dance or gym workouts!

Unfortunately I wasn't able to find the English translations for the lyrics so I had to miss out on that step this time T-T (I have a feeling the lyrics are really sweet so that's a bummer on my end)

I'm sure as a fan you might have a deeper understanding as well as love for the songs, characters, and singers...but even as a "not (yet) fan" I still found the album really enjoyable to listen to!

well be knights is another very dear song to me and a curious case as well bc for months we only had the mv version of the song which is shorter and i feel like they only left there the slower more emotional parts of the song (i really recommend you watch the anime mv) and when i listened to the full version the first time i was SO SHOCKED bc i didnt expect the quicker rhythm or That instrumental dubstep in the middle????? it felt like a completely different song to me but it goes SO hard and i love the full version so much too well be knights my beloved forever. also i find it funny how you say it gives finale group song vibes bc its true its one of the last knights songs weve got and so can give that impression but well be knights is actually knights debut song! its the very first song they ever sang together on a stage (even so that one of the members, tsukasa, hadnt joined them yet and so doesnt sing in this song)

I want to bring them all back and live here with you in Eorzea. I know i said i want to disband the Treehouse Club. Now, our friendships are forever, but we also should have a proper life for ourselves. Our tribe doesnt exist anymore. The only tribe we have is our friends. I want to see us all together just one more time.

That would be nice, to see my friends again, and my family. But i have one question. How will the twins travel and find them?

During my time here in Eorzea I took part in many travels, and many adventures. Some of those took me to places that are not reachable by foot, nor by any transport overland. In every major Eorzean city there is a special bay for airships.

Airships?

Airships. Vessels that float in the sky, and can travel at greater speed and reach destinations much more faster then any horse or carriage. I know this guy, Cid who has one of those airships and might help me with taking the twins on their journey. If he agrees then their journey will be much more easier and very short.

Sequoia and Ren's conversation suddenly got interrupted by the door swinging open and loud laughter.

As the twins catched their breath and saw Ren and Sequoia standing there they walked slowly towards them.

Sequoia stepped closer to Ren and placed his hand on Ren's left side. This made Ren startle a little bit. While it was the touch of Sequoia he wasn't used to this kind of touches. It gave him a very nice feeling however. Like he was warming up. He felt also that his cheeks started to warm up... blushing! The twins noticed this and looked at each other with a surprised and excited expression.

Sequoia motivated Ren to explain the rest of the journey to the twins, and their mission.

Mere moments later the group was ready to leave and set out to Castrum Oriens. The walk there was nice. They exchanged some stories about their adventures. But one thing that was very noticeable was the fact that Sequoia could not keep his eyes off Ren and he seemed to walk very close to Ren. This detail did not go unnoticed for the twins.

Ren tried to explain to the twins that they would make use of Chocobo's to travel through the Black Shroud and reach the city of New Gridania. Soon the four Vieras left this area for good and traveled to New Gridania. Overal their journey was uneventfull as they used the main roads. Kaen and Koori had a few bickerish fights during their trip, as was to be expected from the twins. They also complained a lot about things they were not used to. Sequoia and Ren mostly ignored them and talked about home, adventure, Eorzea, every now and then a little innocent flirt. Occasionally the group stopped to rest or eat or take in the sights. One thing was sure: Ren was so happy and excited with the future prospect of travelling with Sequoia alone.

The four Vieras arrived at the city of New Gridania. After getting a little bit aquainted with the city and the area they made for The Roost where they enjoyed some refreshments and a hearthy dinner. Cid would soon arrive at the airshipbay.

Greetings Ren! shouted someone with a familiar voice,

Hah Cid! How are you doing these days ?

I'm well enough, can't complain. Ironworks keeps me busy, or improving the Enterprise. You know. So what is this cargo you mentioned?

”baby, i think my fever’s going up again…” satoru pouts, looking up at you. ”can you check?” a raise of your eyebrow. you give him a smile. ”this is the fifth time you’ve asked me to check your temperature, toru.” ”just wanna make sure,” he whines. ”please?” an exaggerated sigh. then you’re leaning down, soft lips meeting his forehead, humming against his skin — and, just like last time, and the time before that, his temperature hasn’t gone up. ”you’re good.” ”oh, thank god,” satoru exhales. ”are you sure? like, a hundred percent sure? maybe you should check again. just in case.”

”you’re cute,” satoru croons, still cradling your cheek. tenderly, soft fingertips against your heated skin. all you manage is a meek little furrow of your brows, but that only makes him chuckle again. after a silent moment, you part your lips. ”… you can.” he blinks. still smiling. ”stay forever, i mean.”

AND FINALLY LAST BUT NOT LEAST … skatergirl!nobara x reader <333333 my most beloved ever. i only have a vague outline but im sooo in love w this concept mickey im overjoyed that it caught ur eye….. just . picture nobara being covered in hello kitty band aids bc she’s not very good at skating but she just thinks it’s SO fun and she goes to the skate park w maki while wearing acrylic nails and she’s just having such a blast :(( grinning and giggling!!! she’s literally my daughter i adore her ….

my idea for the fic is basically just that reader has this weird one-sided rivalry w nobara bc they’re a bit jealous of her + she’s so pretty it makes them angry LOL and they assume that she doesnt notice them at all… but in reality nobara is like HIGHKEY crushing on reader she does these complicated flips JUST to impress them she’s a lovergirl!!! so it’s basically just super duper fluffy n sweet hehe <33

I'm curious, in your totk rewrite, would the final fight with Ganondorf be the same, or would you do something entirely different?

somewhat, this is a bit of a different take on ganondorf though, it makes more sense in context of his changed ... or added rather, backstory;

you fight him once before, not a phantom like in canon but him physically, were hes still trying to cope with the horros he had lived through being half awake for such a long time so he isnt much for talking, at the end of it he has like a breakdown that essentially causes cataclysm 2.0 (that might even open up new caves that were previously just cracks in walls too) and which spawns the miasma/memory trees that contain his memories, all of which you need to collect to unlock the ending-

structurally the final fight is similar:

theres a horde of enemies you fight all together and the sages get taken away once you reach ganondorf; when you find him hes all calm and collected but does not allow zelda to talk to him despite her understanding how it had come to all of this and her wishing for a different solution; the fight begins but over time as he loses HP he start to act differently, less calculating and like he is in control and more and more aggresively, and more jumpy like he is afraid of something

phase two he gets too cornered and activates his enigma stone + the sages rejoin you, he is visibly just trying to put an end to you using everything he has to offer, phase two of phase two, he loses it and changes into a beast form (a miasma version of the best forms we know basically, i made a sketch of it once but it was only a rly early concept; i need to put more boar features on that

(unsure whether i want this to be his engima stone active version or the actual beast one) after he changes into beast form he charges at link and zelda and essentially burrows through the earth with them, breaking through the surface in the hyrule plains where the dark beast ganon fight happened in botw, here you fight him in the open, any weathher and time of day can happen here so its a much more diverese vibe each time; he is very fast in this form, if you are familiar with bloodborne im thinking of something akin to the first phase of ludwigs fight but a little more coordinated

this fight ends with zelda telling you to shoot at her so she uses her shielding powers (sth she can also do in the game itself) to reflect your arrow in a certain angle (reference to how ww zelda shoots an arrow you need to deflect in order to defeat gan but in reverse), it hits the ornament keeping the enigma stone in place from the side and it flings off

the battle seemingly ends with beast ganon falling to the ground, zelda tries to run and take it away but gan is still awake and sees in her how sonia sealed him way back, so in a last ditch effort to avoid the fate he had just escaped (despite zelda not wanting to do any of that) lunges for the stone and swallows it

he transforms into a dragon snatching up the both of you and flying high into the sky, zelda can wriggle free but falls and while she could land safely with her paraglider gan is flying off with link so she makes a last moment decision to take in her enigma stone as well, she transforms, rams into gan to free link and a somwhat similar fight as in canon happens, though i would like zelda to be more openly agressive towards dragon-gan

sicne in this version gan doesnt have his stone on the forehead somehow but inside like you would expect you need to fly into his mouth to end the fight, assuming you have found the lab that held the moonbloom (perhaps kogas so tie him nicely into it all) needed for the reverse dragon medicine (bc i wanted to involve links passion for cooking somewhat i thought it would be cool if he takes the chrage on that to make that special dish), you now use it, causing gan to spit out his stone and reversing (still unsure whether he survives this or not, but i thought of the scene from spirited away when chihiro gives haku the lil herb thingy to make him spit out whats killing him when i was coming up with this) zelda catches you again and you use the second charge on her to reverse her as well, boom you got your epic falling scene, the sages also now have made their way up through the tunnel, perhaps they catch gan too

this is a super rough current concept for it, it might all change still so dont take this as the final version, still working on it all after all
