Summary: Being cheated on by the one you loved was devastating but him cheating on you with his ex was even worse.

For 2 years and counting you and Baekhyun had been the couple that everyone hated to love. It was frowned upon by many netizens for Baekhyun moving on from his previous girlfriend Taeyeon but little did they know, it was all a publicity stunt.

 Sure, Taeyeon had been Baekhyun’s celebrity crush for the longest and finally coming out to say that he was dating her was more than true but behind closed doors was something else. Money, money was all that seemed to matter to SM Entertainment at the time; they were slowly but surely lacking in the financial department and used two of their most beloved idols to reel in what they loved the most. It was a disgusting situation considering the amount of hate the two idols had to persevere through yet the company didn’t care.

Taeyeon and Baekhyun had to pretend to be really happy and content on stage when in reality, all the comments were getting to them and in between their relationship. Regarding Baekhyun’s already existing love for Taeyeon, it had come as no surprise that he was overjoyed to date his crush. Taeyeon, however, had not expressed her thoughts in the same way. Being the mature woman she was, she was able to see past everything else and realise that it was all for the money.

She hated knowing that all she wanted to be to Baekhyun was a close friend but instead, SM was going to force her into the situation. Despite the complications during their short lived relationship they were finally given the choice to end it all and say they were through. Baekhyun was devastated as he really did love Taeyeon and wanted to be her long term boyfriend but the same couldn’t be said for Taeyeon as she soon unfollowed him on Instagram and offered to chance to remain friends with the younger male. In his devastated state, he denied and said that it was best to let each other move on away from any ties they had with each other.  

That was when he had met you. He had taken an instant liking over your both adorable yet sexy image and striking features. You could remember the day you two had met as if it were yesterday because was definitely one to leave a lasting first impression

~ Late October 2015 ~

You slipped your foot into your right athletics shoe as she puffed out a breath you hadn’t realised you had been holding. Despite being one of the most congratulated and admired choreographers in Seoul for your incredible dancing abilities, you were never one to not panic and fidget uncontrollably before meeting new people especially when it came to showing off your skills.

You had been assigned to choreograph a few of EXO’s non title tracks from their album. Admittedly you were a fan of EXO but definitely not a stan; you could appreciate their music and their own dancing abilities but you weren’t too much into the whole “don’t touch my oppa else I’ll kill you” type situation. So far, none of the members had really caught your eye until this day forth.

Rising from your crouched position on the floor, you made your way to the practise room where you could hear chattering and a few giggles. With a slightly shaking hand you quickly knocked on the door to signalise that you were coming in. You know, just in case they were doing something…risky.

  “Hello.” You greeted and bowed politely with your hands clasped together in front of you. A chorus of “Hellos” were thrown back at you and a few bows caught your eye before you properly introduced yourself and explained the plan for the coming months. All the boys were extremely nice and welcoming with brought several genuine smiles to your face.

You weren’t really looking to get intimately involved with any of them, despite their good looks, but one particular male had another idea. Baekhyun was somehow able to weave his way in past your weak and basically useless walls and by the end of November, had you swooning at his feet. From that day on, you could say that you were very excited to work with them.

~ Present Day ~

Sprawled out along the length of Jongdae’s bed, you scrolled through all social media platforms trying to find something entertaining to do whilst your best friend seemed to subconsciously babble on about his struggles with video games.

“I just can’t seem to wrap my head around how you can shoot someone through a fucking wall, like, what? But then if I were to be in their shoes I would really quite like being able to kill someone like that because they wouldn’t know right?” You paused your repetitive finger movements to look at Jongdae as if you had been listening.

“Yes of course.”

“You weren’t listening were you?” His unimpressed facial expression and tone was enough to make you sheepishly shrug your shoulders and avert your gaze back to your phone. Silence then enveloped the atmosphere as Jongdae tapped furiously at his phone and you tried to peacefully scroll through Twitter. The silence however was short lived after you snap at Jongdae telling him to stop tapping.

“What are you even doing that requires you to tap so furiously?” You questioned throwing your phone down on the black and white (and most likely dirty) duvet. He smiled shamefully.

“Cookie Clicker.” He mumbled so quietly that you had to strain your ears to even catch on to what he said.  Your incredulous snicker made him fight back in defence.

“I’m at a really high level now so back off!” He clawed at the air with his left hand to fend off your threatening arms that were trying to get hold of the phone that was still being violently abused by Jongdae’s right index finger. Your cat-like actions would soon come to a pause after you heard some rather suggestive noises. Your mind searched for an answer but was soon dismissed after you remembered that Chanyeol lived in the other dorm. It was a definite fact that it wasn’t Kyungsoo because he was out busy with other activities and Minseok was fast asleep on the couch with the TV playing. You were certain that no one else (the other EXO members) were home so you were left rather perplexed. Rightfully so, your mind had completely ruled out Baekhyun as you were very clearly in Jongdae’s room fighting over a phone and taken by him.

Apparently Jongdae had an idea as he was rolling over in the sheets mumbling to himself. His peculiar behaviour was concerning so you attempted to get answers out of him. You received no reply so you resulted to taking matters into your own hands and you gingerly walked through the door into the corridor. The obscene language and sounds only seemed to get louder which left an unsettling feeling in your stomach. Not only were the moans and groans disgustingly loud and exaggerated but they seemed to sound rather familiar.

Your mind immediately banished the thought of it being him behind that door yet something in your gut was overpowering and telling you to barge in catch him in the act.

2 years going strong and the one you loved the most would hurt you? It couldn’t be; no way in hell. He loved you and you loved him to the moon back, nothing could change that. Would this really be the way that you would end such a loved and significant thing in your life? You hated having the thought in your head but you knew that it would stay there until your were sure.

Making the brave choice of confronting the only person that was able to make you feel loved and superior to everyone else, you pushed open the door to reveal a sight that was both shocking and horrifying. There Baekhyun was, pounding into the girl you had once looked up to mercilessly. Her eyes were rolling back with such pleasure that you thought was purely reserved for you. His black locks were stuck to his incredibly sweaty forehead as he thrusted so hard that the bed was shaking repetitively in a rhythmic pattern. Tears stung the corners of your eyes as you caught the eye of your lover whose face went from unbelievable pleasure to regret real fast. Each time you tried to blink away the image, another warm tear would fall onto your cheeks. It was only then that you heard the second culprit speak.

“Why did you stop?” Taeyeon breathed into the warm air that now smelt of guilt. She went to raise her head to turn around but her mind had already registered your tear stained cheeks and shaky hands. Silently, she parted her lips and let out a puff of air before clambering off the bed and scurrying through the heap of clothes for something to wear. Baekhyun was left stunned with his eyes fixated on you and not his ex who was making a mess of his floor.

“Y/N, I-“ You didn’t allow him to finish his regret filled statement because you had something else you wanted to say first.

“Save it, Baekhyun. I really don’t want to hear you lame excuse as to why you fucked your ex whilst being with me.” Your harsh tone made Taeyeon drop her underwear and stare at you. The whole situation was making both you and everyone else rather uncomfortable so you had to end what Baekhyun had started in the kindest sense possible.

“I’ll see you on Monday Baekhyun.” You began. “Oh and please, continue what you’ve started; wouldn’t want to leave Taeyeon dissatisfied. “ You gave a glare to both of the still bodies and turned on your heel, making sure to slam the door on your way out.

The next few days after the incident were literal torture. Not because you had to deal with the fact that your long term boyfriend had apparently not cared about you and everything you had to give but because he would constantly try and call you. Over one hundred missed calls and forty seven unread messages. You were not here to deal with this bullshit and besides, you had a busy life and didn’t have time to console Baekhyun nor yourself.

You were currently preparing Red Velvet for a big comeback that obviously required your full attention and effort. Baekhyun was the least of your problems at the moment.

Throughout it all, and to your surprise, the rest of EXO seemed to be so understanding despite knowing Baekhyun for much longer than you and most likely preferring Baekhyun over you. However, their compassion towards you and your heartbroken state said otherwise as they would constantly check up on you and make sure you weren’t going to do anything regretful.

“From the top!” You called out to everyone in the room. You stopped your conversation with Sooyoung and got into position ready to watch Red Velvet dance the whole routine again for the twentieth time that day. You really should have been thinking about making sure that the girls conveyed emotion and were extremely precise with their moves but something…or someone was stopping you from doing so. But you weren’t complaining too much, they were some excellent dancers.

As if on cue, Yerim noticed the exact same thing.

“That was a good rehearsal. I see we are all improving.” She giggled and patted Seungwan on the back causing her to back away from the vocalists threatening fist. This was exactly reason why you loved to choreograph Red Velvets title tracks because they were incredibly funny and amazing to teach and they were also like family because not matter the scenario, you knew they had your back.

“Most definitely.” You encouraged them, Seungwan in particular. Despite what the netizens said, she was an exceptional dancer and watching her dancing abilities improve from the Dumb Dumb era was a gift and honour.

A knock at the practice room door brought you all from the joint conversation you were having and made your eyes avert to the bodies walking in. Chanyeol, Jongin and Junmyeon walked in a single file bearing what seemed to be gifts of food. A chorus of cheers echoed throughout the room as they scrambled to get a hold of their favourite food. You were quite hungry after all the brain power you were using but decided to walk over to Chanyeol who already had his eyes on you.

“Working hard I see?” He joked knocking your shoulder with his forearm causing you to chuckle and shove him back equally as hard. You nodded your head and then turned your attention onto seemingly starving Red Velvet. They were like vultures scavenging for food that had been left by the boys. It was definitely a sight to see.

“You’re not hungry?” Chanyeol asked side stepping out of the way as you walked past him to where you left your bag.

 “Nah. I ate before I came.” You answered taking a sip from your water bottle. Chanyeol made an ‘o’ face and turned towards the food in the middle. He must of either forgotten about your situation with your ex or he was being a good friend and not questioning it any further as you yourself, had moved on from Baekhyun and his evil ways. Even though you were certain with yourself that you were completely over it, the thought of never talking to him or seeing him again definitely scared you. He was a large part of your life, whether he deserved that honour or not. It was unquestionable that you would never forget him but maybe that would just eat away at your soul even more. 

You groaned out loud as you reached the door of your apartment. It was raining and you were drenched and the last thing you wanted to hear was your neighbours going at it for the sixth time this week. You didn’t need to ask them to know that their sex drives were as high as anything. It wouldn’t even be that bad if they weren’t so fucking loud. They were loud, consistent and bloody kinky; everyday was a new kink and you knew this because they made sure that the whole complex knew. 

“How about we try spanking?” They would scream at midnight, not considering the fact that there were probably children within the complex. Ruthless they were.

 Nevertheless you unlocked your door and quite literally stumbled into your apartment. Kicking off your soaked shoes and shimmying off your jacket, you trotted to your bedroom to go change into warm and clean clothes. You settled for some black sweatpants and a grey t-shirt with one of those mainstream alien embroidery patches on it. Considering how cold it was outside you made yourself a hot cup of tea and turned the heating up all the way up; it was a cosy night for you. 

An hour into the film you were watching and you had almost fallen asleep twice. It was definitely the atmosphere that was causing you to close your eyes ready for sleep and not your screeching neighbours who only seemed to get louder by the minute. However, every time you would get ready to rest your tired eyes, a moan would erupt from next door and you phone would ding from the dining table. You finally decided that the constant ringing of your phone was enough so you got up from the very comfortable position on the sofa and unlocked your phone.

 6 missed calls, 13 unread messages from Baekhyun. He clearly did not know when someone didn’t want to know anymore. You had considered blocking his number multiple times but you figured that was kind of extreme and petty (despite it being effective). You let out a huff of frustration and took a look at all the messages that you had not read.

 Apology, apology, I miss you, apology, I still love you, let me explain, apology. He was obviously turning into a broken radio that only seemed to play the same song over again but in Baekhyun’s case, it was an apology. 

You were nothing short of a liar so saying that you didn’t miss the way he would gently kiss your neck to greet you or the way he would tap away at your hand subconsciously. Of course, you have had your fair share of ex boyfriends but for some reason, Baekhyun stuck out like a sunflower in a daisy field.

In all honesty, it would’ve been spiteful to ignore all of his desperate calls to explain things even if you knew it would completely ruin you. The temptation would only build up and up until you would react on impulse and create an even more chaotic situation.

Pressing the call icon, you braced yourself for the unexpected as there was an overwhelming possibility that Baekhyun would ignore your call. Thankfully he picked up with both a shocked but relieved tone that didn’t help with the whole “I’m trying to hate you Baekhyun” ordeal.

“Y/N. You finally called me back.” His voice was slightly shaky, almost unnoticeable, but you immediately picked up on it; it was very familiar. Despite this, his voice almost brought a sense of comfort to your frantic brain.

“Yeah, I guess. But, I have called you to say that if you anything you want to get off your chest right this minute, then this is your time to do so.” The words slipped out of your mouth with ease because you had planned everything in your head. You hated humiliation, it was malicious, so you gave Baekhyun the opportunity to explain himself and not feel like a complete dick because of his actions.

“I…I, well I mean I don’t know what to say. It’s a lot of pressure considering the fact that I thought you would ignore me for as long as you walked this earth.” His nervous chuckle made you shift uncomfortably. You were confused. You wanted to hate him; it was almost like you had to hate him. That would be the logical way, right? But yet again, something stopped you from doing so. It must’ve of been your forgiving heart and good morals.

“Well quick, time is pressing on.” You hurried him.

He took a deep breath and cleared his throat which resembled a vacuum through the phone.

“I want to say I’m sorry and I completely understand if you want to call bullshit on that but I’m serious. That night…I was missing you like crazy. I hadn’t seen you in like a week and you know that’s true. So,” The shakiness in his voice had returned. “I felt lonely and really wanted someone to be there whilst you were gone. And I made the wrong and careless decision to call up Taeyeon and ask her to hang out. Then things escalated quickly and not before long, I was…we were having sex.”

The last sentence he said made you choke on your spit. The way he said it out loud was like a reality check that was too real. His tone harsh, just regretful. That was what made you feel weak. Was he manipulating you? You couldn’t tell just yet.

“So you only cheated on me because you missed me?” You asked, a sudden need to scream and shout rising up from your stomach to your throat.

“Yeah.” He was quiet again.

 “Baekhyun I called you every single day that I was too busy to be by your side. I checked up on you everyday. I even made sure you were ok before you hadn’t invited you ex round to fuck whilst I was in the other room!” You raised your voice at him because you were angry; infuriated even. All the time and effort you had put into this relationship just to be pushed aside to rot because Baekhyun was needy and selfish. The sacrifices you made that week you were busy just to check up on him were now useless.

“Yes I know and I appreciate that but…” He trailed off. You assumed that there wasn’t a valid reason or a reason at all as to why he would cheat so you saved him from having to talk anymore. 

“Listen Baekhyun. You cheated, I’m hurt but it’s over now. If anything you should take this as a hint.” Your voice cracked because everything was suddenly becoming so real. You were really about to cut off anything you ever had with Baekhyun.

“What do you mean ‘a hint’?” He was on the verge of tears, you could tell.

“You and Taeyeon look great together and I’m sure she has more time for you. Goodbye Baekhyun.” A stray tear left your eye as your voice barely managed to get out the most difficult words you had ever needed to say. You could also tell that Baekhyun felt the same as you heard a quiet sob from the other side of the line.

 That was when you hung up leaving Baekhyun with his own guilt and regret. You felt horrible, like a monster that went around mercilessly breaking people’s hearts. It was a horrible feeling to know that you had caused someone such distress because you knew exactly how it felt. In a sense, you were both the victims and the culprits doing equally bad things. But it had to come to an end and that end was brutal.   

A/N: this was angst and i loved writing it. all i’m gonna say is expect a part 2…….(if this gets good feedback lmao)

Since Steam summer sales are arriving soon, Tecsie decided to clean up their Steam wishlist a little bit by writing a Steam Wishlist Clean Up post which was inspired by Lia’s Down the TBR Hole book blogger meme.

I really liked this idea and asked Tecsie if I could take part too so here I am. Though with a slight difference, Tecsie managed to go through a lot more of her wishlist in one go. I already know that will not be the case for me. So you’ll likely see a few of these.

Starting Point: 170

As I missed out on posting one of these last week due to the book club announcements, I’m gonna go through 20 games this week to make up for it.

State of Decay: YOSE was something I’ve been interested in since release. It’s about surviving in a zombie apocalypse open world, and you have to build a base to keep everyone safe. I played a little of the original game on XBOX so I’d love to hop in on the remastered one.

As I’ve mentioned before I’d love to playhtrough all of the Telltale games and as I already own the other The Walking Dead ones then its only time until I get this one too.

Now two Resident Evil games! I think I’ll remove one of these as I’ve not played any RE games for a long time, as RE6 allows co-op and multiplayer its staying! Sorry RE4, we’ll see you in the future.

Okay so we’re back to 4 anime styled games, or well 3 and a pot of Mayo.

Invisible Apartment is a free to play visual novel on steam which I really enjoyed so yes I’d love to play Invisible Apartment II. Its a cyberpunk setting too which I love.

Natural – Beyond Nature – has mystery, drama, and supernatural elements too. It doesn’t match any of other games I’ve played but I’m fairly certain I’ve played through others by this creator and was a fan.

In Panty Party you play as some panties and fight other panties… Could I have just removed this from my wishlist and not posted it here? Sure. Am I gonna? No ahaha. Its one hell of a meme game and for once I actually will remove it from my wishlist.

But just because I removed one meme doesn’t mean My Name is Mayo gets the same treatement. This is another clicker game – because you can’t have enough! Remember cookie clicker, the web game? Its basically that I guess. I’m sorry its staying.

More Final Fantasy games? Phew. Okay lets try and narrow this down. I’m currently playing World of Warcraft which has a monthly sub but I’ve heard nothing but great things about FF XIV Online and honestly £9.99 for the base game isn’t bad so yes I’m keeping this for the future when I’m not paying for WoW.

FF XI: Ultimate Collection Seekers Edition is another MMO with a subscription and as I prefer the other one this one has to go, as will Lightning Returns as its the concluding chapter int he FF XIII saga and I never finished part one or two. I also think I’m gonna do it and say goodbye to FF IV wow.

Night in the Woods is a game I’ve been dying to play and is 100% a priority for me! I love the art work so much, it looks amazing.

Sonicomi seems to be about encouraging your friend on how to become a model, what type of outfits they should wear, and you focus on taking the best photographs of them! Its supposed to be one of those haha boobs and panty games but I saw a few reviews where they state if you ignore that and focus on achieveing great photographs the story is really good. I’m still very tempted by it.

Sakura Nova  and Sakura Agent, wow two Sakura games? Okay let me check them out… I’ll remove one so I can save some face. Agent is staying because the girls are cuter and it has slightly more polished art.

NieR: Automata is a priority game that I am dying for but am I gonna spend £40 on one game? HELL NO. Even if it does deserve it because its an amazing game, my limit really is £25-30

The Longest Journey is related to the previous two Dreamfall games I’ve mentioned so its staying along with them so I don’t forget about it. I also have no idea what order those games should be played in and I’m too lazy to look into it which is another reason it stays.

Watch_Dogs 2 is a surprising game to have on my wishlist because I hated the first, but I saw a lot of praise for this after its release so I’m pretty excited to one day pick this up.

FarSky is giving me Abzu vibes but with more survival aspects too it so I’m kinda into the idea of it but on closer inspection there are no achievements and no trading cards so realistically I’m unlikely to aim to complete it, bye.

excited to be using linux on my big screen computer~~

a cool thing I've noticed is that linux I think takes up significantly less space than windows ever did. and I'm just running the cinnamon desktop~~!!

out of the 256 gb of space on the initial OS drive, I've got 217 gb left. windows I forgot how much it left me with tho...

Linux mint is nice so far~~ especially the second hard drive being password protected to mount; rather than being accessible to anyone using the computer.

installed vlc as a media player and now idk what other applications I'd need.

or if I even have enough space currently to try to get steam games working. as the terabyte hard drive is cluttered with anime and music I've saved. and where all of my data is stored separate from the os.

one thing I lost tho that I had forgotten about was my progress in cookie clicker, as I was playing through that, and i don't remember when my last backup was or how much I've lost. By the time I realized I hadn't backed it up, the install was already in progress and it was far too late.

I like cinnamon so far~~ the keyboard shortcuts to reveal all the different desktops,, even found zoom features that are really useful. I thought you had to pinch or push your fingers apart while pushing the hotkey toggle like you do on iphones to zoom in on pictures and stuff, but no. just slide your fingers from the top of the touchpad to the bottom to zoom in, and reverse to go back to small.

I never used zoom on windows; much to my detriment, lol. bad vision is bad. I'm saying it again even tho it might not be relevant here, I'm legally blind. left eye bad vision, right eye none whatsoever. I never liked on board zoom on windows and i'm not sure why... this is nice.

I'm still excited cause I've always wanted to run linux on my big screened gaming pc, but it would never boot. come to find out I was installing grub in the wrong place... needed it on dev/sda1 instead of dev/sda itself. I guess because 1 is the first part of the disk?

hopefully much less spywarey than windows~~ and more secure. I've always assumed that linux/unix/bsd were more secure than windows in general.

funny enough when I first found these types of operating systems as a teenager a long time ago, I jumped into the deep end and immediately tried FreeBSD first. then backed off and stuck with fedora, opensuse for a bit, then to the more user friendly stuff like ubuntu, and linux mint. then many years later I stopped liking what whomever makes ubuntu was doing, and switched to mint, but they still used ubuntu's base, so now I use debian based stuff.

there's my entire fore into linux from being a teenager to now, lol. also very fanboyish high school report on how linux/unix was better than windows. before I even started using linux proper. ahhhh the cringe.

sucks a bunch of corporate stuff doesn't work with linux; cause I'm always seeing like the eye doctors operating systems being windows, and I'm always like "why don't you use linux?" the reason is they want their technology and stuff to work. like it won't on linux?

positive experience and a positive rant~~~ still going to tag it as rant anyway tho~~
