shy m/c who maybe accidentally catches him one time, ooo maybe she’s a little shy and innocent but she’s quite smart, easily piecing together what’s going on and the maybe she gives yoongi advice on how to get information out of someone effectively and he kinda just falls in love with her on the spot because she isn’t fazed at all

maybe after that they just go their own way but they meet again when yoongi sees her in trouble and goes to help and maybe he says it must be fate and then their relationship develops from there

ooo the drama would be so fun with that idea, especially if yoongi is a little cocky and lets them play around with him a little before he escapes and calls a few of his gang member to back him up. maybe they stole something from him and he wants it back, or one of them tried something with the m/c and yoongi got angry so he wanted revenge

if you don't mind me asking, how did you make your header? :")

hi there! not at all!! i'm not sure how much detail you want me to go in to so i'll just put the tutorial down under and take what you wish.

1. get a screenshot / picture you want to use. to start, i took a screenshot from the one mv which i wanted to make into a header. if you want to use a screenshot instead of a picture, make sure that the video is at full resolution. i suggest downloading the video to your computer before screenshotting, but you can also do this on youtube. anyhow, make sure that you have the highest resolution of the picture available.

2. editing the picture. for that i personally use photoshop. if you don't have photoshop, my only suggestion would be knowing the optimal size for tumblr rendering for the picture to not look blurry when you upload it. i personally use 640x360 pixels for headers, i'm sure other dimensions would work, too, but these are the only dimensions i found that don't blur the picture. so just crop it / resize your screenshot to that, if you have access to such, use a sharpening feature, and you'll be good. and just continue editing it the way you prefer. psst photopea is basically photoshop online, you can always use that.

how i personally edited it (sorry i can't completely recreate the header):

a. sharpen and blur the image.  once you have the size that you need, you can sharpen and blur the image to make it look smoother. to sharpen go to:

then right click the layer, duplicate it, blur it and adjust the opacity of the duplicated layer:

note: i'm sure there are extensions that allow you to do this the easier way.  just do you. :)

b. work on the colouring. i suggest using curves, levels and selective colours. you can find all of those options down below where the layers section is. what i personally do with all my editing is make the pictures slightly darker and use the selective colouring to play with the most prominent colours in the picture/

then what i like doing is adding a shadow to my subject. use the lasso tool to make a rough selection of your object, right click, make a layer via copy. then go to the layers section and double click it, select the drop shadow option and play with the settings until you’re satisfied.

c. add on text. i personally always use the font microsoft yi balti, no bigger than 10 px. i also play with the spacing of the letters before placing it wherever i like on the layer.

3. save the image. at this point you can just save it as png (important, as jpg is a very grainy save and does not provide with the highest quality output) and upload.

something extra: getting rid of things you don’t want in the picture.

however, since i was bothered by the shadow, i want to get rid of it. this is also how i filled all of the empty space when i did the original header in which rocky is a lil bit smaller than the edit. so how do i get rid of things?

1. select all rocky layers and merge them together by left clicking and selecting merge layers

2. duplicate the merged layer as you did before.

3. delete rocky completely from the duplicated layer. this is needed for image processing as photoshop will end up filling the space with a bunch of rockys instead of the blue sand.

4. use the lasso tool to select the area you don’t want in the picture, right click and select fill -> content aware fill - > ok.

you get this:

then just move the layer with the deleted rocky under your original rocky layer and use the eraser tool to erase the part you just edited. it should look something like this.

How I, a person with zero experience but a lot of opinions would stage Eurovision 2021 pt 6/10

It's Sunday so I guess it's time for my weekly Eurovision spam, I think this and the next part are the ones I have the least ideas for but here we go with rest of the 2nd semifinal's first half

Austria

Okay so ballads are not easy to stage and I have very few ideas for this one

I liked the crow in the video, I hope they bring that cute lil bird back maybe on a led screen or something

The white lights could work for this but maybe adding some color in the last chorus, red or yellow perhaps, but I think this is few of the ones who could pull off the all black&white performance this year

Because the song is sad and about funeral I think the all-black suit works very well for it

When it comes to staging itself, I liked the little bit of claustrophobic theme the video had so I wouls either try to recreate that (maybe with same kind of staging like Azerbaijan had in 2018) OR then just do something with the led screen

Poland

Okay so the music video already has a solid concept I would work from that with all the neon signs, dancers and the choreography, if I wanted to go REAL big I would let him drive that car to the stage in the begining of the performance

So the outfits for the men are good but I would prefer if they were more colorful like for example neon yellow, the ones the ladies have are good as they are (mostly because I'm a sucker for women in suits)

So as I already mentioned the neon signs in the video are a must, when it comes to actual color of the lights someone might think that this could just use every single color of the rainbow and be fine but I don't think so, it needs a little bit of class and that's why I would work with three color combo: Pink, yellow and green, MAYBE orange, no shades of blue work with this and neither does red, so pretty free hands as long as they leave blue and red shades (aside from pink) alone

Moldova

My idea is simple: I want to get sugar high just from watching this song being performed

So the dilema here is that I love the dancers in black clothes in the music video with their dance moves but I also love the walking ice cream cones and since Eurovision only allows six people on stage I'll have to settle with the normal dancers, and they better keep those dance moves

So the dancers' clothes are dealt with and when it comes to Natalia's ones I don't care what she's wearing but I hope it's the same shade of cyan what she's wearing in the video because it works very well with pink

So the stage, I want a lot of props to make the stage look like candyland, color scheme for the lights would be pink pink pink with a hint of cyan and I think that's all we need for my sugar high

Iceland

When the live video came out I was thinking they shouldn't touch anything and that they should just bring that to a bigger stage but then I saw what they did in the music video and DAMN, THEY ARE ALLOWED TO CHANGE EVERYTHING

Firstly, the outfits are iconic and I was happy when they brought those sweaters back in the live performance (and thank you for Iceland for having them perform live in the first place) but then the music video came out and the upgrade they did for the outfits is perfect!!! They're still iconic but like upgraded version of that iconic!!! So I either hope they bring those upgraded outfits to stage or somehow upgrade them even more

I would love to see the monsterfight from the mv to happen behind them on screen but I want it to look even more low-budgety that it did in the video, I don't want it to be aknwoledged any way, I just want them to play while these two very cheap-looking giant monsters fight in the background

The choreo they have in the live is perfect but if they have ways to upgrade it, I don't mind at all since their outfit upgrade worked so well

The stage itself should be empty because we already saw last year how well the band can fill the stage with their stage presense alone, I would pay extra attention to the lightshow to create that good 80s atmosphere, that same green they have in the sweaters mixed with orange would be a good color combo, this is nearly Eurovision-ready performance even though they haven't even played this song on an Eurovision-level stage yet

Ok so I have answered this before but I can't for the life of me find where I put it in my asks so I'll just rewrite my essay here. Bare with me it's long lmao. I remember I wrote about some physical stuff I like about him but let's take it from the top lmao.

SO I went to kcon ny 18 and I was a avid listener of NCT but I didn't really know any of the members by name or face or anything. And of course Johnny was one of the hosts because he speaks English and I was trying to find my bias and I thought maybe I would like taeyong (ppfffttt lmao) but my friends friend (who is a very toxic and gross and mean to other idols/groups) is a ty Stan and basically said "no he's mine. You can't have him. Go after Johnny or something." And I DEADASS SAID "NO HES UGLY"

Yah I thought my whole ass man was uglee 😂😂😂😂

So anyway I think around Sept or October my friend was really into NCT and was helping me to learn them and I don't remember what made me love Johnny so much specifically but it just kinda clicked.

So after that I just started biasing him so hard, he became my ult bias, and I flew all the way to Chicago for the concert just to see him cry.

So the reasons why I like him include:

Physical: BIG TOL BOIIIII. I have a thing for tol dumb goofy idiots with deep voices and big hands. A lot of my biases are like this lmao. But also BIG HANDS. His voice isn't super deep but I find it to be a nice tone in his own way. He has this cute overbite also?? Like idk why it's cute but I think it is and it makes him suck in air alot when he talks and it adds to his little lisp. (Don't @ me, I have an oral fixation ok) his smile is the cutest and makes me seo soft UM THOSE LIPS??? HI HELLO. His big ass broad shoulders??? HIS CUTE LIL PEACH BUTT??? THOSE THIGHS???? He competed with shownu on lipstick prince in a thigh separating contest and they tied one to one and shownu said it was kinda hard to beat him so this boy got STONK THIGHS. CHERRY BOMB EMO UNDERCUT JOHNNY BEING THE SUPERIOR JOHNNY??? His eyes are the most gorgeous things ever and he's made me fall in love with brown eyes. His hair always looks so floofy and soft. (Also we cannon him as having a big dick so)

Personality: A BIG ASS FUCKING AQUARIUS. so he's basically a big soft teddy bear thats extremely goofy and klutzy (which is also a majority of my biases). He puts his heart and soul into dancing on stage and masters choreography so damn well but when he dances on his own he's just...a white suburban dad trying to fit in with his teenage sons. It's soooooo bad. I am in a constant rotation of disappointment, second hand embarrassment, soft gushy lovey dovey feelings, and horniness when it comes to Johnny Suh. He's so awkward and weird like all the time and im just like WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS PLEASE STOP. He's the most extra person and can't do anything normally and with all of that he never fails to make me laugh. He's the biggest dork to exist. Also he has the best duality of man ever. On stage and in super modelesque pictures and some MVs he looks like a daddy that will tear your ass up in a heartbeat and other times he's just like (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*.✧ and the best uwu bean. He's literally so sweet and caring to people and so passionate about his hobbies (although he really like photography he's the worst fucking videographer ever and can't keep a camera still to save his life). He's a really great leader and his relationship with the others are so cute. Marks his brother, taeils his husband, Jae's his best friend, haechan and chenle are his sons, ten and ty have big ass gay love crushes on him (same sis). And it's all so precious. He's a big ass fucking Mama's boy and his relationship with his mom is the cutest thing ever. She loves her big ass baby so much and ME TOO MRS SUH ME TOO. He'd be the sweetest and dorkiest boyfriend ever and would always try and make you feel better when you're sad and make you laugh and give tons of hugs,kisses, and affection. And even tho us sluts categorize him as a big ass Dom he'd be really sweet in bed irl. He's just too much of a goofball to be any other way.

Career wise: well this one's hard because johfam suffer a lot when it comes to Johnny's talents. He's completely overlooked and forced to get one or two lines or some hype up chorus shit and it's really annoying but we find time to support him anyway. He has a really sweet soft voice and doesn't really have a big range like taeil but it's really nice none the less AND THEN THEY SLAP AUTOTUNE ON IT AND MAKE HIM SOUND FAKE. (See highway to heaven) he can play piano/keyboard and he's so good at it and I was at least happy that at their concert Johnny had a mini solo for the transition into regular where he got the spotlight and got to play the keyboard (cries forever). THEY DONT LET HIM DJ ANYMORE AND I DONT KNOW WHY HES SO CUTE WHEN HE DJS. BRING BACK DJ JOHNNY. Also he's supposed to be a rapper? Never raps? Supposed to be a lead dancer? Gets center for like 10 seconds. One day I hope he expands into other stuff though sm doesn't really let their idols do anything else (much). Like I think he'd make a good model. He knows how to take pics well. He walks well in heels believe it or not so maybe he won't completely fall on his face on the runway. Anyway let Johnny Suh have his moment to shine and showcase his talents bc sm thinks he ain't got any and wants him to suffer.

In summary he's just really sweet, kind, funny, and caring and hes talented but overlooked so we try and give him a lot of love and support.

i will never shut up about this. the popular members get hate too. honestly everyone will go on about how the hyung line members get hate (totally fair), but nobody wants to talk about the shit the maknaes have to deal with cause they’re popular. i’ve never seen someone as grossly sexualised as jimin is, i’ve seen many a horror. jk gets so much hate for having a lot of lines, as if it isn’t tiring and stressful for him. and honestly tae just can’t fucking breathe without getting berated for it. here’s a list of things he’s gotten hate for:

i’ll say this again. even though everyone thinks tae stans showing concern is twelve year olds trying to stir up drama, we have good reason to do so.

let’s take a moment to talk about stigma, the lyrics are already ambiguous and seemingly sad. this is what he said about it:

remember when the members jumped on tae to open up to them? the way they spoke...you can tell he had gone through something and it breaks my heart honestly, but it seems the members are caring for him.

his visuals have gotten him far and this is just a fact. he must feel like his only significance in the group is being a visual. honestly when members are being acknowledged for things and it comes to him they’ll always say something like ‘thx for not being ugli lol’. 

i know this is a thing in kpop i guess but it’s as if he’s just there to look pretty and...growl? and what else? oh yes! be lol so random xd. this really pisses me off cause even in old interviews namjoon would introduce him as ‘the member responsible for 4d charms’ and you’d just see his expression drop immediately.

don’t get me wrong, it’s just a fact that he’s a popular bias cause of his looks, that’s just the way it is and i know it. we as people sub-consciously show bias towards people we find attractive in everyday situations. i’m pretty sure if he weren’t so stunning some people would probably bash him for his ‘alien behaviour’ rather than be like ‘oh ahaha tae-oppa is so cute l o l xd’ or some other cringy shit. 

anyway, he has a lot of fans because of his appearance, who probably think they’re the biggest stan just cause they’ve heard stigma like four times. maybe they watch some ‘taehyung extra compilations’ now and then, but they don’t actually know shit about him andng;sd’#;l#fdfd 

for those that don’t know, he had originally accompanied a friend to the auditions and had no plans to audition himself. he was spotted by an employee who told him he had to audition because he was so good-looking. his looks definitely got him where he is, i imagine it makes him feel like his only significant feature is the fact that he’s pretty. a lot of people have nothing good to say about him not regarding his looks/behavior. 

if you get really deep into it, i think he feels like his visuals are the only reason he’s loved by fans at all. although he doesn’t do it anymore, i’m pretty sure he used to exaggerate his attitude so that people would like him. i know this feeling all too well myself and while i obviously can’t pin point what’s going on in that pretty lil head of his, i think i’ve got an idea. you’re really just ‘weird’ and you try to pass it off as quirky then you’re like ‘oh you like this?’ so you keep acting that way, afraid you’ll stop being interesting. it was brought to my attention that people are actually dropping him cause he’s become more quiet recently :(. 

can i ask why? when taehyung is so beautiful inside and out, he’s definitely got flaws we all do, but while he isn’t perfect there’s just something so unique about him. he’s so clever sometimes yet he can have those dumb moments like forgetting what year it is, he seems like he’s just a cutie yet he’s so mysterious and vague. he’s this beautiful mess of self-contradictions and i love him for it, my favourite art hoe. i found a tae personality-analysis here on tumblr and it was an enjoyable read, op says they had a hard time with his mysterious ass haha

despite the sun only now rising, it’s overcast as ash steps out of the van. he barely notices it other than to think that he hopes it rains. rain has always been his favorite weather.

rain, after all, offers the perfect conditions to stop and think, not that that’s something he ever has time to do anymore, rain or shine.

he forgets about his yearning for rain as quickly as he forgets most things nowadays, and by the time he’s sitting in the chair and getting concealer dabbed under his eyes, his mind is elsewhere.

“didn’t get much sleep last night?” his makeup artist asks.

“no. no, not really,” is his simple reply before silence falls between them again.

it’s true, but it barely crosses his mind how tired he is. knight hasn’t had that many schedules since they got back from germany, but he’s spent hours upon hours scrawling out lyrics and remaking beats until his head pounds. it’s a hopeless grasp at the freedom that has already slipped through his fingers, slithering away so effortlessly at bc’s command. he's pestered producers to give him feedback and rewritten lyrics until he cried from pure emotional and physical exhaustion, but it still isn’t enough. he’d spent his nescafe fansign event more focused on rhymes and rhythms than those who had come to see him and hadn’t even given himself time to feel guilty afterward.

he gets six decent shots in before the director tells him to rein it in; he’s going a little too hard now.

“got it.”

“take lucky number seven,” the director encourages with brightness like the most fake neon plastic.

this take feels the same as all the others. ash isn’t an expert on what looks good on camera but he tries, pushing his running approach a little faster and slowing his leap up to perch on the chair. his foot lands with more of his heel off of the chair than the previous takes, but a burst of extra force through his calf gets his other foot onto the top rail. that’s when it falls apart. again.

his foot lands too far ahead on the ball or too far back on the heel, he’s not sure in the split second it happens, but the gruesome twists fires a warning signal to his brain in the fraction of a second that he doesn’t have time to act on before it gets worse.

in his haze of lost breath and the consequences of the rapid-firing of his brain ultimately resulting in nothing, he forgets to jump off and the ball of his foot collides with the smooth concrete at an even worse angle. a harsher blow strikes his already weakened ankle and he doesn’t have time to try to stand up before he crumbles to the ground in a rushed moment that feels much more dramatic than it could possibly look seeing as no one does anything for a few seconds.

with a muted cry of shock, ash rolls onto his side and tries to grasp at his ankle before finding that’s a very bad idea and he’s caught between letting it fall to the floor in what he’s aware enough to know would be another shock of pain or holding it an inch above the ground as he loses the will and strength to do so.

 then Mansae came on AND OMG SEUNGKWAN WAS INFRONT OF ME BEING THE ADORABLE LIL SHIT THAT HE IS then Boom Boom was performed and omg Lee Chan you are barely legal do not be that sexy omg ((i'm kidding be as sexy as you want child you can pull it off so well omg)) then Soonyoung and Chan stayed to talk to us and they imitated each other and Soonyoung copied Chan's part in DWC so cutely making Chan spell his name with his butt and I thought it would look funny BUT NO OMG THAT BOY IS TOO SEXY FOR HIS OWN GOOD THEN HOSHI DID IT AS WELL AND CONSIDER ME DEAD BOI

 Vocal Team performance is next and the opening video was so beautiful and classy and sentimental in a way, it was so beautiful omg Seungkwan was so beautiful omg their voices are exactly the same from what we hear only better and I really really REALLY need a copy of Don't Listen in Secret Phantom of The Opera version ((that's what i call it)) cause the arrangement is so beautiful and dramatic and I LOVE IT SO MUCH

More minor thoughts and things for the Dragon Mom Game! Its not super developed yet, but I’m thinking more on what sort of gameplay it should have. And can i just say THANK YOU SO MUCH for the positive reponse on this idea!! I’ve never got 8 notes on one of my dumb idea posts before!! Usually at best I just get 2 likes by my close friends, lol

* I’m still having trouble settling on a design for the main character species, I’m even not sure anymore if I want it to be an insectile dragon or just a complete dragon or just a complete insect or a dragon or insect mixed with something entirely else AAAAA And even just amoung the different cool caterpillars i was inspired by, I can’t decide!! * So i definately think I’m gonna go with the idea of a magically evolving species with a big ol skill tree of player choices. Even if it makes no sense! But i mean, dragons can do anything! XD So maybe your various skills and stuff could also give you appearance traits of all different cute and cool insects! BUNNI NEVER HAS TO CHOOSE EVER AGAIN

* Relatedly, I’m wondering whether I should give the player a ‘respec’ option? Cos.. I mean.. it would be even more immersion breaking if you could de-evolve at will, I think. it at least could make some internal sense in-universe if we say that evolving is a natural part of this creature’s life cycle. And it would seem a bit overpowered if they could freely discard and re-evolve whenever they felt like it. You could just defeat any problem you encountered, and not even have to worry about making a skillset that functions well at everything necessary to survive. BUT on the other hand, permenant choices in a skill tree with a lot of options can be a big problem depending on how much the player gets to know about each option beforehand, yknow? It sucks when you play a game and you find out you have to start all over when you;’re six hours into it, cos you somehow screwed yourself over with one bad choice and had NO WARNING. I’ve been recently playing the (very fun!) remake of Sonny for steam, and in that game every boss is so wildly different that you often have to respec your entire build to find a way to beat them. Which works well with how its basically a giant boss rush game where grinding is optional and respeccing is available whenever you want for a small amount of ingame currency. The no-respecs achievement is possibly the most difficult one! So yeah, I’m kinda worried I’d accidentally create a game like that, even though this genre doesn’t work as well with that level of difficulty. But also infinate respecs don’t work for this genre either... So I’m thinking maybe respeccing WOULD be possible, but it would be in a very limited quantity and you’d have to go through some hidden sidequest to get it. Maybe there’s one special plant that causes these dragons to reset to their basic state? And maybe it could have a cost, like it makes them very sick so you sleep through like a week or something. Or your stats are lowered for a few days, or your overall lifespan is decreased? I’ll have to think more about balancing it well!

* I’ve been thinking more and the cache-based gameplay could really be really cool as the primary form of challenge in the early stages. Your biggest obstacle is knowing that food and materials can expire, and that your ability to carry things is limited, and that you only have a certain amount of time each day to go around and then find your way back to a safe shelter to sleep. At first you might be quite desperate, eating everything you find as soon as you find it, and only being able to venture out a little way away from your nest. But then you start building cache locations and temporary shelters around the world, allowing you to move further and even be able to slowly carry some rare distant item back all the way to your main nest. The epic three week quest to move a single log! Being dragonmom is suffering! XD But it could be really rewarding to see that early difficulty be flushed down the toilet as you develop your skills, opening up the world and presenting new challenges to replace it! * And there could even maybe be multiple ways to solve the problem! This could be the first opportunity to make the choice between being a herbivore or carnivore, carnivore would be adapting more towards the ‘eat it now, constantly be searching for new food’ play style. You’d be stuck living within that limitation forever, escaping it just through becoming way better at dealing with it. You get a food source that’s basically everywhere, and gives you more nutrition, you turn the terrifying enemy predators into nosh and get to feel the ultimate catharsis of dooooom~! And you can become powerful enough to carry more stuff, and to affect the environment more and create shortcuts, and you need to worry less about finding a perfect shelter cos you have less enemies and you’re more hardy against the weather.

* Thoughts about the basic animal language system! I’m wondering about what sort of symbols it could use? Like, maybe it could just be intuitive pics of items and lil stick figure dragons and stuff. Here’s a few examples of default rpgmaker MV icons:

(tho these were some of the only ones useful for a dragon game so I’ll have to make my own) Alternatively, they could be like actual runes or heiroglyphs or made up fantasy letters. I tried googling around for something similar from a game, and all I could find was this thing thats apparantly from Spyro Skylanders? The disadvantage of that system is that it’d be less instantly intuitive what symbol means what. But that might even work to its advantage, cos it encourages the player to get started memorizing all the symbols instead of being complacent that everything will always be obvious. I wanna ease them into the puzzles, but I still do want there to be puzzles, yknow? i just think it would be a very cool concept! Oh, and of course having it look like a real language makes it feel like a real language. Woo! But maybe it could put more emphasis on the unusual nature of the language if its more pictoral? I DUNNO!! I’m bad at choices!! I’ll just have to work hard to make some endearing lil dragon doodles of what everything looks like to them. Thats the best compromise!

* oh!! A cool and unusual idea for one of the evolution skill branches!! Maybe you could take deliberate penalty devolutions? Maybe picking one of them gives you extra skill points to spend on others, or maybe its like.. sacrificing the ability to learn a new skill in favour of some additional stat boosts instead. And maybe even certain penalty evolutions could lead off into a longer tree of penalties with an unexpected bonus at the end! i was thinking a good one of these could be the ability to lose your sight. It could lead to boosters to all your other senses, and even the ability to eventually gain some sort of complicated telepathy sense that’s even better than eyes! Gotta put up with a while of waiting though. oh, and cos you’’re like a buggy dragon thing, maybe eye evolution would be Lots! Evolved eye! evolved eye! evolved eye! evolved eye! next evolution: eye!! achievement unlocked: spider. Oh, and actually the placement and type of eyes could adjust depending on what other evolution route you’re on! Thats be a cute bit of aesthetic. or maybe you could just choose the eyes regardless of what bug you are, and make the google eyed moth of your dreams~! It could be more tricky to make a fully customizeable character model though, rather than just a bunch of regular bugs. I mean, this is gonna be a pixelart game, its not like Spore with its big ol animation engine for all kinds of crazy leg combinations.. RANDOM THOUGHT! a dragon with eyes all down the sides of its body would be mega scary. maybe that could be part of the herbivore side evolutions? Realistically, scary appearances are more common for non-scary animals that evolve them to frighten off predators. Lots of caterpillars are actually kinda body horror disturbing looking, I cant stop being scared by the one with the huge swollen head with an optical illusion to look like a snake. It even manages to scare the predators of the predators of its predators! O_O Also actually having eyes all over your body instead of just markings would probably be really useful for spotting all those enemies. Spooky baby is the biggest fraidy cat ever!

* If I go with the idea of you gathering more children as the game goes on, then it could be cool to have all sorts of different sidequests to find the different eggs. Like maybe you can’t adopt the egg of a snow dragon unless you relocate your nest to a colder area where it could grow up healthy. Tho it’d suck if the game was forever limited that way and you had to leave your kids alone in various areas around the world or else they Die. So maybe its just for while the kid is a newborn, or maybe its that you have to nurse the egg in a certain environment in order to hatch it. i’m gonna say for the sake of gameplay conveinience that these magical dragons can just go into stasis in their eggs and survive forever, only hatching when they get their daily dose of mom hugs. Cos it would kinda suck if you had to make the decision IMMEDIATELY when you find an egg, especially if the eggs required certain things in order to be hatched. It would be super tragic to find this baby struggling to live and then you have to watch the egg go cold and die just cos you didn’t progress your stats fast enough. Magic eternal eggs is the best solution! Actually, maybe that could even be a good plot for a super rare egg you could unlock! You could find an ancient dragon species that was thought long extinct, and then get to raise a cute lil fossil son. Could be funny if they’re like an ancient megafauna version of your species! ‘My son iz larj but i luv heem’ He could carry the rest of his siblings around :3 Oh and maybe one of then could actually be an older child that you adopted after you found it cold and shivering next to its dead mother. It could be after you defeat some big boss, and find out that you were too late to save this poor fellow dragomom :( So then maybe that kid would start off more distrusting and disobedient at first, but to make up for it they’re already a fairly high level with some skills already. And maybe your choice of name for them would be limited at first, and then you can rename them properly once you finally win them over. You only get to choose one symbol at first, the kid is automatically named like.. Other [name]. Otherleaf, my smol untrusting beb!

* A SUPER SAD POSSIBLE IDEA Maybe there’s a small chance of finding the ghost of your kids when they die? There could be some sort of super mysterious and spiritual part of the forest that you can explore later on in the game, and there’s a random event to find a little baby shade in the fog that seems to remember you. And you can bring them home and its just like they never died, except they look a little spooky and they can only appear when the sun goes down. So you might wanna evolve the nocturnal skill so you can be with them. oh, and maybe when you get them back their name would change? Adds or replaces part of the symbols. they become Empty-[name]. And they can never grow up :( But still, imagine this lil ghost puff all happily curled up in a big hug pile with all their siblings, after so long wandering lost and alone!
