thank you all who watched JWCT SS2 on Premiere Day!!!

Now that it has been 24 hours, I will share the shot that my work friends kept making fun of me for (and still do) ...

presenting

my over-rendered mangoes (at least for storyboard standards lmao)

Anyway, thanks to our Eric Hawkins for accurately and beautifully matching my intended lighting for these fruit, Ryan Donoghue for matching the perfect tree sim and movement, and our Animation Team at CG CG, for taking this shot of fruit that really needed to be like one frame and no color and making them shine, lmao.

Anywho, enjoy season 2 everyone! The Crew continues to love to see everyone's thoughts :]

speaking to my fellow benrius shippers right now: can we make a group pact to behave ourselves if benrius isn't made canon in jwct. i do not want to see this fandom become bitter and resentful, or have that anger be redirected at the cast and crew. these people have worked really hard to deliver us a very special show—do not let your commitment to a certain ship keep you from appreciating that!

so jwct's animation budget obviously saw a huge increase from jwcc and it really shines through in the rendering & cinematography, but one thing i haven't seen other people mention is how they actually made the palms of darius's hands lighter this time around! it's a small detail in the grand scheme of things, sure, but it's stuff like that that really brings the characters to life :) mwah mwah hugs and kisses to all the artists involved with this show
