hi i'm here to talk to you a little about some of the tma/tftgs crossover rp's i have been in lately. i say "have been" even tho they are all still in progress, i just need to respond to most of them ASDFJKL

none of them have much in the way of worldbuilding put into them just yet, especially b/c they're all pretty early on and mainly just fun character interactions (though none of them have met jack yet), but i will summarize each of them so far for u:

spencer fucking middleton gets his hands on a leitner for a mysterious client who wants him to find a very specific one. gerry keay is currently trying to convince him to Not Fucking Take The Leitner for his own safety, and spencer is, predictably, being a dick about it. if this thread ends with spencer getting his ass kicked i will not be surprised.

spencer fucking middleton meets simon fairchild by chance, and simon takes an interest in spencer and tries to strike up a conversation. spencer just kinda wants to be left the fuck alone and is, predictably, very rude to him.

agnes montague happens to be passing through the area and comes to the gas station, where she meets rosa vasquez, the only clerk on duty. rosa, while making small-talk, ends up accidentally revealing some of the weird shit that happens in this area, which immediately has agnes Very Very Interested.

jon jarchivist sims, approximately sometime during s4 if i am remembering right, ends up kinda stumbling near the gas station and picks up on the fact that Weird Fucking Shit happens here, and he immediately goes to investigate. on the way, he meets my mans antonio vargas, who immediately does not trust him, and currently the two are having a very tense faceoff in which they are both Very Wary of each other but also very curious.

oh and i'm not sure if we're gonna do anything with it but we've also talked a little about doing one with like. a specific AU of gerry meeting jack and the two becoming kinda awkward friends, or at least coming to an understanding.

oh also it's worth noting i'm also in some RPs where my OCs juno and knives each have met some tma characters (simon and gerry respectively).

Juno Margolyes: Wardrobe

I don't know how long winters last in the Shaftlands, but I feel like the farther north you go, the longer cold weather lasts. When my grandmother was living up in New York, they only had 'warm weather' for about three months before they had to break out the heaters again, that's sort of what I imagine Juno's hometown being like. Even though most of her clothes are pretty muted in color, she likes picking out accessories with brighter colors and patterns.

Big scarves, heavy coats, sturdy boots- the more fur-lining, the better.

Even though the weather is very different on the Island of Sages, she still tends to pick out longer clothes that cover more skin. There are certainly more options though since it isn't cold weather almost year-round. More colors and patterns make it into her closet. Even some skirts. Vil probably gives her a whole lecture on fashion, color-coordinating, yada yada...

Is going home an option, she doesn't want to end up like poor Epel.

Even for parties, Juno tends to stick with long sleeves, long pants. The closest thing she ever got to for a party was her school graduation. They had a formal dinner at a restaurant in the next town over and then drove home the next day.

There are one or two things she owns that would fit in well enough at something formal- namely the pink dress and the gray jumpsuit with flowers on it. Delicate stuff makes her nervous- it gets damaged way too easy. Give her denim and leather any day.

The Event outfits. Vargas Camp on the right, Ghost Marriage on the top left, and Halloween on the bottom left. The camping and Halloween outfits are definitely plain compared to the event cards, but Juno very much prefers the practicality over looking good. As for the suit... during the Ghost Marriage event, she was just fed up with how horribly it was going and decided to have a crack at it with Riddle, Epel, Rook, and Ace... Rook had to give her a crash course on how to wear it, she's never worn one in her life.

So, if Adam awakens, what can we expect? Will the Absolute World/Instrumentality automatically occur, or will it just cause Sol to cross the point of no return and incapable of ever having a human form again?

That’s a tough question.

Well, actually no it isn’t, because what “triggers” the Absolute World isn’t the Flame of Corruption alone, but actually when both the Flame and the Scales of Juno both manifest in the world simultaneously.

In other words, they are both keys to a larger puzzle that is the Backyard.

Ariels seemed to think that Sol’s awakening would prove to be a threat, to the point she made countermeasures against Dragon Install.

Contrast with Bedman’s commentary that suggests that he WANTS Sol to awaken and somehow bring about the Absolute World itself through Sol’s power (which seems to fall in line with what I-No wants from the Flame Seed as well).

But like I said, it takes two to tango: the Flame needs the Scales to bring about the true Absolute World, and that means it relates to Aria and her powers as well.

Whether Sol awakens or not may depend entirely on necessity (or as the story itself dictates), but we do know at least that Sol’s Consciousness, or rather his “Identity” has control over the Flame, so long as Sol is alive and well.

Leo Whitefang suggested that if Sol were “killed” he might not come back as a “human”, but something “far worse”... but on the flip side of that, so long as Sol is alive, no matter how “deep” the rabbit hole goes (Dragon Install), he’ll still have some amount of control over it, which seems to be the case, even as far as the form he took in GG2, although it causes Sol to be extremely tired when reverting back to a human form.

Also, GG Begin suggests that there is an inherent “flaw” in Gear Cells themselves, and that flaw is essentially what is keeping Sol “human” right now: Varga Hectasin...

We’ll just have to wait and see how things play out, and how Asuka R. Kreutz will handle Sol from here on in.

Hero Name: Titan of Light : Hikari Quirk: Light Desc: Manipulation of light rays that allows her to transform the rays into hardened physical aspects of itself. Costume Design: Her costume uses her light manipulation to create armor. She wears devices placed around her being to amplify light around her. There’s six devices, two on bracelets, two on anklets, one on her belt, and one around her collar. They’re made of a simple crystal surrounded by metal that protects it. Light beams into the crystal, and bends around her form. Later, she gains a metal tube of the same technology, a crystal inside that amplifies her power to create a sword.

Hero Name: Titan of Fire: Atlas Quirk: Fire Desc: Manipulation of fire that is already created, but can raise her own external temperature to create new fires from anything she holds. Costume Design: Unlike the other Titans, Atlas being in the support group means her costume consists of useful tools to help her create. Most of the time she has a belt around her waist with iron tools--a hammer, pliers, a pair of tongs. To help her create, she has created a pair of gauntlets that allow her to touch and mold iron into whatever shape she can muster up. The gauntlets resist up to 2,000 F degrees; which helps her mold simple metals like iron. Though she has a high resistance to temperature due to her quirk, she still wears an apron over her clothing while she works--to protect her clothes from the high temperatures.

Hero Name: Titan of Darkness: Thanatos Quirk: Darkness Desc: Manipulation of light rays in a way that hardens the space left over when light has been absorbed. Costume Design: Thanatos didn’t apply for a costume, however he wears a simple black samue. He requested a Kusarigama, but without a blade. Like Theia’s sword, it has a crystal inside that amplifies his abilities and allows him to extend or shorten the length of the kusarigama’s blade.

Hero Name: Titan of Nature: Aeolus Quirk: Nature Desc: Manipulation of any type of plants, unless a part of another living creature.  Costume Design: Aeolus is from a high class family, riches leads his costume to be lined with gold. He wears a long coat, monocle, and family jewelry decorates his neck and ears. Using his quirk, Aeolus has vines wrapped around his forearms, which he uses to dig into the earth to surprise his enemies. The only difference in his costume versus his daily outfit is a small scheme of colors--and vines. Fencing has always been a family tradition, and as a master in fencing; Aeolus uses a rapier as his weapon of choice.

Hero Name: Titan of Aether: Siarnaq Quirk: Aether Desc: Manipulation of the Aether, has the ability to warp the energy of the universe around him to create portals and synthesis energy into weaponry. Costume Design: Leather straps up and down his person, you swore he jumped out of a 90′s emo vampire movie. Though shirtless under his coat, Mantus uses his heartbeat to communicate with the spirits of another plane to grant his power, and therefore makes it easier to hear them without cloth. Due to his family’s history in the military, Mantus was trained at an early age with firearms, and uses a versatile gun in battle. It switches easily from dual pistols to a long range sniper rifle--by using his aether he can manipulate the metal and create energy bolt to stun--or kill--if needed.

Joseph Chronus

Hero Name: Titan of Electricity: Zeus Quirk: Electricity Desc: Manipulation of electric currents, though his body cannot create it--he can manipulate currents around him as well as become a rod in which attracts electricity. Costume Design: Joseph planned his costume around the idea of being hit by electricity, and his ability to absorb and attract lightning. He wears a wool beanie, pants and jacket made of cotton and wool blend, lined all with copper. Using a rare element, and a combination of metals like copper, Zeus uses tactical yo-yo’s to fight his enemies, and when needed--blades to skate on!

Rosalicia “Rosa” Vargas

Hero Name: Titan of Terra: Demeter Quirk: Terra Desc: Manipulation of rock, mineral, and most metals. Though she cannot control copper. Costume Design: Rosa likes to play in the dirt, and therefore needs colors that match her personality. She wears black jeans and a brown overcoat, though ironically likes wearing white shirts. Her jacket is a blend of bullet proof AND fire proof. Though the reasons behind it are shielded from UA. At least, she thinks shes being smart. Unlike most heroes, Rosa didn’t want gloves to protect her hands from danger, as she uses her hands to literally scoop and manipulate the ground below her.

Kaya Yazzie

Hero Name: Titan of Water: Thetis Quirk: Water Desc: Manipulation of water, can change the temperature within water molecules to change its form. Costume Design: Kaya wears more masculine clothing. His costume design seems more masculine--but can transform slightly if needed. Given a sleek skin tight suit, they wear a pair of swimming trunks with water proof pockets--allowing them to hide important things in them. His boots are lightweight, and gloves that have webbing on them to allow them to swim faster through water.

Dibe Yazzie

Hero Name: Titan of Ice: Khione Quirk: Ice Desc: Manipulation of ice, allowing her to change the temperature of the molecules of water vapors present in the air to transform them into their crystal forms. Costume Design: Unlike her brother, Dibe wears an oversized coat that covers a skin tight outfit. The material allows her to keep her body temperature regulated, and she has almost comically big sized boots with a fur trim. Her coat is similar, made of leather with a fur trim. Her costume has a brown and white color aesthetic. 

Jacopo Moretti

Hero Name: Previous Hero: Megalo Box Quirk: Adaptation Desc: This quirk allows him to change the molecules in his body to match whatever he touches, such as changing his skin into brick if he touches it. Costume Design: Due to his quirk needed skin contact, Jacopo wore simple boxing style shorts and combat boots. He left much of his upper body free of clothing.

Juno Olympa

Hero Name: Pro-Hero: Blaise Quirk: Smelt Desc: Although she can’t create fire, her body temperature can rise beyond that of normal ranges, allowing her to burn things if she touches them. This allows her to bend and break things easily through melting them. Costume Design: Since her quirk mostly comes from her hands, she leaves them exposed. She has fire-proof material in her outfit that keeps her skin covered to protect from blunt or sharp objects, though not projectiles. It’s a simple pair of long pants, a white tank top, and a zipped down jacket. All in a dark purple hue.

Jacopo Olympa

Hero Name: NONE Quirk: Technomance Desc: Has the ability to manipulate and transform technology to how he see’s fit. Costume Design: Jacopo has extended arms that allows him to attack anyone he doesn’t like, and was born with metal claws. This proved problematic when he was younger, as he sliced his mother before his birth, and was born premature. He wears a long trench coat with long arms to hide his arms.

I’m feeling the bug again so let’s do another unit roundup +some more mirand hc

Mirand actually lived in Randall briefly after her mom died, to live with her father. 

Rosaline, her mom’s best friend and a member of the demon slayer squad her mom led, visited her once, saw she was miserable, and then took her to live with her in the “home village”

Mirand’s dad was not happy about this

Mirand doesn’t really like her dad, when she was recruited into the Summoner’s Hall he practically threatened to disown her

she doesn’t interact with him again until he’s dying from some health complication. even then it was strictly business, she spoke with his aide more than she spoke with him.

She’s lived with Rosaline since she was 7. She’s practically like a second mom to her

Mirand calls her Aunt Rosie

Rosie taught her how to swordfight

She can’t go on missions anymore because the demon that killed Mirand’s mom fucked up her leg

But that doesn’t stop her from teaching a ten year old how to swing a sword dammit

She gets a pension from the Summoner’s Hall every month, but Mirand also sends her some money every other week

like 10% of her earnings

which, is still a lot

Mirand’s sitting on like 50 million zel she doesn’t know what the fuck to do with it

Usually she just donates to the City Library or treats Elise and Lin to a fancy dinner bc their jobs are stressful and they deserve it

Honestly he’s usually off doing his own thing

always shows up on Mondays and Thursdays for Karma and Zel dungeons tho so Mirand can sit on even MORE money

Treats Fizz like a little sister

She hates it 

not really but she doesn’t like it when he calls her a copycat

Has a flare for the dramatic

Like his heists will go one of two ways

He will either rob you blind without you ever knowing he was there
