Kingdom of Heroes: King Arthur?
Spoiler warning for Chapter 7 of Twisted Wonderland- you have been warned.
I've had a thought. I've had a few days to watch the mayhem unfold after part 5 released and all of the bombshells that got dropped with it. And I'm just going off of fan translations and assumptions/theories at this point.
We know that the Knight of Dawn and Queen Leah (?) got killed in the Wild Rose Castle and baby Silver got put in an enchanted sleep. I doubt things ended any better for Heinrich... assuming all of the heirs/rulers of the Kingdom of Heroes died, they left their kingdom without any successors to take the throne, right? I can only assume how badly the country spiraled- maybe they managed, maybe they didn't, who knows. But the thought that occurred to me was what if they couldn't decide who would take the throne in the absence of Silver's family? So they (the people, the good fairies, whoever you think) sticks a sword in a stone and makes it so that whoever manages to pull it free will be the next king?
And the one who managed to pull it, of course, was Arthur.
I think that fits well with Twisted Wonderland's lore as of this point, not that I think we'll ever get any details on what happened to the Kingdom of Heroes after the Knight of Dawn and Queen Leah (and possibly Heinrich) perished in what had been the Nation of Briar. I'm going on the assumption that Arthur and Merlin were around at some point though since Royal Sword Academy and Ambrose LXIII exist.
Anyway, this occurred to me all of a sudden and thought I'd throw it out there for whoever might enjoy or have thoughts to add onto it.

I- look... I'm broke, I was only going to do one ten-pull for Malleus, and I got BOTH cards?! I don't understand how this happened, but I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.

AHH- I got Raiden Shogun! I got her on my second ten-pull! I've pulled on past limited banners without any luck, so I might've had pity? But I've tried to figure out how that works and I just can't wrap my head around it.
Anyway- I tried pulling for Ayato too, with no luck. I might try to pull again if I can save up any more Fates, but I'll probably wait for the next banner.

RSA Headcanons
Just some worldbuilding headcanons. If I'm given the vaguest details they can muster, I'm going to start filling in the blanks how I want to.
♤♡---◇♧
NRC obviously has the Dark Mirror that chooses students, I guess RSA would have the sword in the stone (rather than Excalibur)? The blade is broken halfway, but it's still impossible to pull unless you're chosen. And that's never happened in the past however-many-centuries since RSA was founded. Either way, what magic it does possess is used to choose the students worthy of attending.
Instead of Ramshackle, Yuu gets housed in a little cottage in the woods behind campus that resembles the dwarves' old cottage- or maybe Belle's or Aurora's since the dwarves' cottage still exists. It's as run down as Ramshackle is, but unlike Crowley, Ambrose would probably worry about safety hazards and get it fixed. Just imagine- Yuu wakes up and finds an army of woodland creatures has broken into the bedroom... the entire campus can hear their initial freakout-screaming. Where they're from, it is NOT a good thing when wild animals break into your house. For any reason!
As mentioned above: animals seem to swarm to the students on campus. It's just... accepted, nobody really questions it.
RSA is the literal opposite of NRC in just about everything, I could see this going either one of two ways. 1) Students are sorted into dorms/halls based on the virtues of the Disney princesses/heroes like NRC, or 2) the sorting goes by year and the virtues are an overall standard they're expected to uphold. To do only good for the world, show compassion, generosity, bravery, et cetera. I know that there just isn't much reason for them to flesh out RSA with how little it's actually involved in the story, but the second would explain why Che'nya and Neige seem to have the same uniform. I would assume there would be some sort of difference to indicate dorms with the school uniform, even if it's just colors.
Che'nya is an absolute menace. You can't convince me otherwise. If Yuu and him are friends or not, he's going to torment them like the cat he is, all for the fun of it. If he can get them to crack a smile or even laugh, his day's been made.
Instead of ghosts staffing RSA, I can imagine it running itself. 'Sorcerer's Apprentice' style with the mops, but on a larger scale. Or 'Beauty and the Beast', all the furniture is animated (rather than cursed people) with people making sure what needs to be done is done.
♤♡---◇♧
I hope we get more information on RSA in the future, event if it's just tidbits in events. I always enjoy getting more detail, even if it's pointless to the story.

Falling For You
In which you make a lasting impression on Neige when he gets himself in a touch of trouble.
It can be read as platonic or romantic; written in second person; no reference to gender or appearance. Just generally silly/fluff? Reader is assumed to have ended up at RSA rather than NRC.
♤♡---◇♧
You've had a long day. If something could go wrong, it has, and Che'nya's been at his finest when it comes to being a menace. And it's barely even noon! All you want is to get a cafeteria, get something to eat, and sit down for a little bit before your next class... It seems you just aren't going to get a break.
There's crowd gathering around the gigantic oak tree in the courtyard, someone's climbing up it... Despite your better judgment, you stop to see what in the world is going on. You find Rielle somewhere in the front of the crowd and ask what's going on- is that Neige?
He just sighs: yes. They found a baby bird in the grass on their way to lunch and Neige decided he had to put it back before the parents came. A kind gesture, but really a stupid idea. Still... you stay to watch for a few minutes. He's moving carefully, pulling himself up one branch at a time, stops and leans against the trunk before holding onto the branch above him and scooting out. Reaches the bird's nest (how did he even find it...?) and takes the chick out of his coat pocket and drops it in as carefully as he can before returning to the trunk. Polite clapping, relieved chatter, Neige is making his way down. So you turn to leave, lunch has waited far too long...
There's a crack, followed by screaming, you turn around- well. No one should be shocked, the tree's probably older than the castle is. One of the branches have wrenched halfway off the tree under Neige's weight, and now he's clinging to it with arms and legs wrapped tight. Reaching out to try and grab the next branch over, every time he moves though the one he's on rips a little farther off the tree... His fingers have just reached the other branch, and the one he's on decides to give out.
He tumbles down the branches- and you trample whoever happens to be in front of you, because you go sprinting without much thought, skid to a halt under the tree and lift your arms as if to catch him- ... it's less like catching and more like breaking his fall, because you both end up sprawled on the ground. The breath gets knocked out of both of you. And he just slowly sits up, looks at you and gasps if you're okay, you saved him, is there anything he can do to repay you?
Yeah. Get off before you hurl. Because let's be honest- it would probably hurt a lot to have someone fall from a tree and land on top of you. He clambers off, kneels beside you and wavers he guesses he fell for you, huh...! Asks again if you're okay?
Yeah... This is probably one of the least dramatic things you've gotten dragged into since you ended up in Twisted Wonderland. You sit up, he just smiles at you- and then the crowd descends. Swarming around Neige and pulling you up and dusting you off. Someone gives you your bag- either you dropped it or flung it in someone's face in the mad dash to reach the tree and Neige. Speaking of him: you can barely see the top of his head through the crowd swarming around him; even at school he's popular... He's in good hands now, so you decide to take your leave before anything else dramatic can happen.
And by the time Neige managed to wiggle through the crowd to find you... you've disappeared...!
Later that night at your cottage...
... Who sent you a massive flower arrangement? The coffee table's gonna break if you try to put this on it.
It was Neige. Either he's smitten, or you've got yourself a fanboy for life.
♤♡---◇♧
I've said it before, I'll say it again: I'm all for the dramatics. And who doesn't enjoy a crazy 'how we met' story every now and again?
NOTE: I've never edited photos before, this is my first attempt. Very plain, but I still somehow managed.

RSA Staff Headcanons/OCs
Some characters I feel would be fitting at Royal Sword Academy. I'm not really great with picking names, so there probably won't be much sense or reasoning to them.
♤♡---◇♧
Arnold Rennison
Twisted from Roger Radcliffe (101 Dalmasions). Music teacher.
Homeland: Queendom of Roses
Hobbies: Writing sheet music
Every time I try to remember the movie, the first thing that comes to mind is him stomping the floor playing the piano and trumpet as loud as he can while Cruella's downstairs. I can just imagine, if he gets word of Crewel visiting the school for whatever reason, he always makes sure band practice is in the parking lot so he gets an earful when he gets out of his car.
Don't ask me what those two have against each other, maybe something went down while they were still attending their respective schools. Either way- they don't like each other.
Claude Archambault
Twisted from Clopin Trouillefou (Hunchback of Notre Dame). Theatre director.
Homeland: Shaftlands
Hobbies: Flower gardening
The man literally narrates the entire movie and pretty much hosts the Feast of Fools. If anyone qualifies to direct a theatre, it's him. And even if he's got a darker side, he's warm with kids and his family. Spread some joy and watch out for the kids (adults...?) enrolled at the school, it doesn't sound too outlandish for someone based on Clopin.
Professor Moreau
Twisted from Maurice (Beauty and the Beast). Science teacher.
(I couldn't find a first name I felt would fit)
Homeland: Shaftlands
Hobbies: Tinkering in the school basement
Maurice was literally called crazy for all the weird things he was inventing, if anyone could teach kids science and make it interesting, it's this guy.
Students learn early on to stay out if the basement- no, not because it's haunted, not even because it's staff only. It's because Moreau turned half of it into his personal workshop and it is anything but safe. He's happy to share his work with the students... just be ready to run if something goes wrong.
Murphy Heinrich
Twisted from Milo Thatch (Atlantis: the Lost Empire). History teacher.
Homeland: Queendom of Roses
Hobbies: Battle reenactments
In charge of all the 'socials' like Trein is. If anyone can make a history lecture interesting, it's him. The excitement, the theorizing, he enjoys teaching all of it- not just the bare minimum and you have to fill in the blanks (I had one too many teachers like that). Oh, everyone's falling asleep? Rather than hand out more homework, why don't they have a historical costume party to liven things up a bit! Or take a field trip to one of the reenactments he attends!?
He's the odd one out in a long line of adventurers: teaching history rather than making. And he enjoys his job... but there's still plenty of time to hold up the family legacy.
Coach Aegis
Twisted from Philoctetes (Hercules). Athletic coach.
Homeland: Sunset Savanna
Hobbies: Antique collecting
Who better to whip a bunch of greenhorns into shape? An older centaur (referencing Charon from Greek mythology) that sort of got arm bent into the job as a favor. If there aren't centaurs or the like in Twisted Wonderland, I guess a big horned ram beastman. He has a giant list of rules when it comes to training: they worked for the professional athletes he used to train, they'll work for the students too!
♤♡---◇♧
Just a few ideas, feel free to add to this or make a better suggestion- I'm sure there are characters that would fit these rolls better. There were some characters I considered that I just wouldn't be sure how to write for.

Twisted Thanksgiving
It only occurred to me to write this when I woke up, so it may be short and a mess, but I wanted to get it out while it was still Thanksgiving. And if someone reading this isn't from the U.S.... well- sorry for the confusion.
NOTE: I guess this would be read as them in our world? No warnings or anything really, just fluff/crack.
♤♡---◇♧
Trey and Epel are the ones mostly in charge of cooking. Trey for obvious reasons, and Epel because I'm sure he could make some amazing apple desserts to go with the turkey. Ruggie even pops in to help some, he knows his way around a kitchen... and it doesn't hurt to get a bite or two before the food reaches the table either.
Sebek and Silver are in charge of guarding the kitchen: Lilia isn't allowed within ten feet of any food, and Trey doesn't care if they have to beat him with brooms, just keep him OUT of the kitchen! Everyone will thank them in the long run.
Ortho forced Idia to come out of his room for the 'festivities'... It isn't as horrible as he imagined, he's parked on the couch with a card table set up and a stack of board games to do while the Macy's Day Parade runs on just about every tv in the house. Azul is playing with him, of course, but some of the others jump in on it even (Ace tries to cheat at cards and still loses)- Leona gets up long enough to play a game of chess... Idia loses. Leona freaked him out.
Vil is probably nitpicking how unhealthy the food is and counting calories in his head- Rook drags him away to watch the parade. After all, it would be a shame to miss the performances between floats! Congratulations, Epel, Vil won't be breathing down your neck for the next few hours.
Speaking of Rook, he's probably the one who shot the turkey. Who needs to buy one when you can get your own?
I know Floyd isn't one to sit still or be easily entertained, but I could see him (and Jade and Azul) being fascinated by the parade. Simply because it's all different floats, music, and shows passing through. It might not entertain him the entire time, but you have a good hour- maybe two- of him content.
Cater is taking pictures of everything- the food, the games, the decorations, all of it is going on his Magicam. Once he's done that though... I can see him getting a jumpstart on the Christmas decorations. Who doesn't enjoy stringing up the lights and digging through ornaments? Well, plenty of people don't- he's not one of them though.
Poor Riddle is probably short-circuiting right now, his mother would never approve of this. They must be breaking a dozen or so rules, there isn't any order at all- someone give him a cup of tea and a puzzle or something, quick.
♤♡---◇♧
I probably could've thought it out better, but it never even occurred to me until I was helping my Mom and Nan get the chicken ready (we're not fond of turkey). Anyway, happy Thanksgiving to anyone who reads this, I hope you have a happy holiday!

A Thought...
TW: vague mentions of blood, death, gore
Warnings: writing errors probably
If I missed anything, please tell me so I can fix the trigger warnings.
I'm all for angst and pulling at the heartstrings. And thinking about Lilia finding Silver... I had a little idea.
♤♡---◇♧
It's late at night. Middle of winter, everything is covered in snow and absolutely silent. Lilia's been dismissed from his duties for the night and he's making the trek back to his little house off in the woods... And there on the trail lay two dead bodies. A man and woman, mangled and unrecognizable, the snow turned bright red. Some sort of animal must've caught them, everyone knows not to be in the woods after dark...
Everyone knows Lilia's seen war, been in it. He's probably seen enough violent death to last a thousand lifetimes, this is just another day for him. If anything, it's a nuisance- now he has to go back, wake someone up, report it, like he isn't busy enough...
Something sneezes.
There shouldn't be anything sneezing, considering the circumstances, so where did that come from...? There's nothing but thick foliage to either side of the trail, it must've come from one of the bushes, he reaches out to push the weighed down branches out of the way-
A baby. A tiny little baby swaddled in a basket, cold and bleary-eyed, but very much alive. Whatever had happened, whatever had killed the parents had passed it over... Not it, him. A sleepy little boy. And he's taken Lilia's breath away. He pulls the basket out, gently lifts him out.
"Hello, little beastie," he whispered. Tucks the blanket a little tighter, cradles him close... He remembers holding Malleus like this, misses it even. And the baby just blinks up at him with those lavender eyes and yawns, completely oblivious to whatever horrors have transpired there... How he could sleep after all that, Lilia wasn't sure. What he was sure about though, was that the little angel had to be hungry, who knew how long he'd been laying on the side of the road. He was sure they'd have milk back in the castle kitchen- he had to go back anyway, a detour wouldn't hurt. What to call him, Lilia couldn't just call him 'the baby' forever, humans grew so much faster than fae anyway, he'd sprout right up in no time... Ah. He knew what to call him.
He tucked his coat around him, swaying back the way he'd come just minutes ago- how quickly one's life could change,"Come on, Silver, I'll introduce you to my other boy. Malleus is just going to love you..."
♤♡---◇♧
... Okay, that ended up a lot longer than I was planning, I was just going to do the premises. I think it turned out okay though.
I don't believe for a minute this is what happened, and there might be more backstory on how Lilia found Silver once Chapter 7 comes out. I hope there is, I enjoy their interactions.

Fan-Made Countries
I enjoy worldbuilding, it never gets boring. The two countries here are both based on the Little Red Riding Hood fairytale, and in my Storykeeper AU, the forgotten kingdom my OC Fayde is from split into these.
♤♡---◇♧
Wolf Woods
No exact cultural inspiration.
One of the wildest countries in current day Twisted Wonderland, most of it is made up of the dark woods. Where thieves and monsters and unspeakable things lurk. There aren't anymore cities in the country than when it first started, but they've expanded in size. Beastmen species consist of animals inhabiting forests and swamps mostly, though wolves outnumbered the others. Beastmen and animal. It's assumed that the children of the Big Bad Wolf declared themselves the rulers.
In the Wolf Woods, the succession of the throne doesn't rely on who was born first like most other places. No- it all depends on who is the strongest and most cunning. When the country was still new, the fights between heirs could get deadly. Yielding was not accepted, they wanted to come out on top or die trying. A few centuries back though it was finally organized: challenges would be judged by several people (in case they needed to literally pull the heirs off of each other), and the general consensus was that once someone was pinned, they lost. End of story, the victor is named the first heir. Once they're coronated, challenges cease. Not everyone always accepted this, obviously, but... another story, another time.
They twisted the Big Bag Wolf into: the Forest Guardian. A wolf who patrolled the forest trails day and night despite the dangers. He would find those who had wandered from the path and guide them safely to the forest's edge no matter what monsters crossed their path.
♤♡---◇♧
Red Towers
No exact cultural inspiration.
Much smaller than Wolf Woods, with only about eight villages in all, this is where the humans scared of the dark woods after what happened to Red Riding Hood retreated. They cut down the trees, burned the plants, and drove out anything and everything that they feared with torches, pitchforks, and spears. Their country was built on the foundation of fear, hate, and superstition.
The country gained its name from the watchtowers built along the border. Walls were built between the towers overtime out of their fear for the world beyond. They've isolated themselves for so long that technology, morals, and such are extremely outdated and old fashioned.
There is no one and only ruler in Red Towers. Every town has their leader. Some sort of elder or trusted figurehead. Those leaders meet and make the laws and such. (Has Twisted Wonderland explicitly mentioned any countries that aren't monarchies...? I can't remember)
They haven't twisted the Red Riding Hood story, so the huntsman is their 'Great'. Even in modern day though, tensions with the Wolf Woods is very real. As far as they care, they're the same as all those years ago and it's only a matter of time until history repeats.
♤♡---◇♧
I don't know why I'm so nervous about posting this. Anyway- I tried to make the vague ideas in my head make some sort of sense written out. I feel like Leona wishes Sunset Savanna had inheritance laws like the Wolf Woods.

Storykeeper AU: Fayde's Life
Moments between Fayde and the characters. No rhyme or reason, just what comes to me.
♤♡---◇♧
Lilia tries to get her into technology. The greatest invention since running water! And... she's all for jumping into the modern world since she seems to be stuck in it for the foreseeable future, but it's going to take baby steps. The first time a phone talks to her, she freaks out. She's much more open to learning than Malleus though, so she's already doing good in Lilia's opinion.
Fayde could completely destroy Trein's world if she tells him how wrong the history books are... maybe it's best to let him be.
Vil is bound and determined to get her to stop dressing like she's from the dark ages (which... she is). Fayde is perfectly happy the way she is, thank you very-... wave some modern day food in front of her, and she'll play along for a while. Donuts were an absolute hit, imagine what will happen when she discovers pizza. Even if it makes Vil cringe, she's still humoring him and that's all that matters. (Rook, go burn these clothes before she notices.)
Ace and Deuce irritate Fayde to no ends with their ridiculous nonsense... but she still puts up with them and even follows them around when they're up to no good. Half the time, she's literally thinking 'my lord, why do I put up with them?' Because: these two are like toddlers on a rampage sometimes, and it's the most fun she can ever remember having.
Fayde still ends up living in Ramshackle, she doesn't have magic herself. She LOVES the ghosts though- they can reminisce for hours about everything that's gone on in the past few centuries.
Grim sneaks into school after orientation since Fayde somehow ousted Yuu in this whole mess and he wasn't there in orientation. He still gets in trouble and Crowley goes to throw him out- Fayde volunteers to watch him though since she KNOWS he's supposed to be there. Has an easier time wrangling him than Yuu, but normally lets him do what he wants as long as he doesn't get himself killed.
Malleus vaguely resembles the Shadow. It made Fayde curious, so she started hanging out with him at Ramshackle. And the whole 'scary aura' doesn't bother her- she's seen some things in the past few eons, and she'll take a lonely dragon fae over those any day. And she may have been drawn to him because of his resemblance to Vail... but now when she looks at him, she doesn't see it. It's just Malleus...!
Sebek dislikes her because of the point above. He thinks she's plotting. Fayde is minding her own business.
She'll trust Floyd over Jade any day. Jade is always hiding what he's really feeling and planning behind that too-friendly smile; Floyd's moods might be unpredictable, but he doesn't hide them. You'll know if he's in the mood for a laugh or in the mood to squeeze you 'til you pop- Fayde will take the moodswings please.
Azul tries to make a deal with her... Listen. She watched over the Little Mermaid when it happened, she was acquainted with Ursula's scheming from the start; it's not gonna happen. A nice offer- but no.

A Keeper's World
Some vague ideas and pieces of what the pocket dimension I keep mentioning in the Storykeeper AU is like.
♤♡---◇♧
There's a long catwalk, for lack of a better word, that hangs out over the dark void, you can see all of the 'stars' from there. The stars are thousands upon thousands of crystal balls floating in the air, all of them have some sort of image playing on them, constantly changing between scenes and people. All of the potential stories in the world- either people pass them by without ever realizing, or they would simply be forgotten. Only the GREAT stories get chosen.
When a story gets chosen, the crystal ball it can be seen in appears in the library. A circular tower so tall it fades into darkness if you look straight up. Every single book is some variation of a famous myth, legend, folktale, fairytale, or historical achievement. Even if they've been twisted into something else entirely over time, it's still remembered in some way.
If there are servants in this place, Storykeeper!MC has never seen them. When they need something, it's already prepared. Bedrooms are cleaned, clothes are laid out, meals steaming hot on the table when they're ready to eat. It just happens- not a single other living soul seems to exist there, and it's happened since the moment they arrived.
Storykeeper!MC technically doesn't need to eat or sleep. It's more of a habit rather than necessity. Same as aging- it just doesn't happen. They look the same as the day they arrived there, the only difference is that wounds heal over. Sickness and disease may disappear... or it stops being a problem until they leave the realm, it's a bit unclear. Everything just seems to come to a standstill of sorts once you enter the Keeper's World.
There is only one way in and out of the world, unless you want to fall into the endless void. There's a magic mirror in the grand hall where the main entrance would normally be. A gilded iron frame, instead of a reflection, all you can see is darkness, fog, and something lurking just out of sight, pacing back and forth... You don't want to find out what that 'something' could be. Not only can it take you to Twisted Wonderland (and possibly other realms), it can take you back in time to the stories recorded in the library... be careful if you do, or you could completely change its course, and the rest of history's too.
The Keeper's staff is exactly what it sounds like. It's a magic staff the Storykeeper can summon at will, it lets them control the world. It lets them open the mirror to whatever place and time they want, and lets them 'view' stories. Sort of like Scrooge, you can't be seen or do anything, but you're there instead of watching it in a crystal ball. NOTE: viewing a story and using the mirror to go back to that moment are different. A lantern hangs from it, the flame inside never goes out.
♤♡---◇♧
Thinking of the look and feel, I'm taking loose inspiration from Time's castle in Alice Through the Looking Glass. And I mean very loose, because it's been years since I watched it and only have blurry recollections of the design.
If there's anything else of significance I want to add, I'll make another post later, but I've covered what I've come up with for now.

Storykeeper!AU: Butterfly Effect
It is said that something as small as the flapping of a butterfly's wings can cause a typhoon halfway around the world.
What path shall you take?
♤♡---◇♧
OKAY! So- I wanted to write more about my Storykeeper!AU, think of it as one of the infinite possibilities (hence why the original post is open-ended).
In my version, the canonical gameplay with Yuu and Grim at the sorting ceremony has already started; it's been chosen, out of the millions of stories that have begun around the world, as the one that will be remembered in history. And Storykeeper!MC is watching over it just as they have for who knows how long...
When they get ousted from their little pocket world by whoever invaded it though, they fall right into the middle of the Sorting Ceremony, causing the biggest commotion they've ever had, some random person just fell out of thin air, literally, Riddle's TRYING to think of a rule for this kind of situation (their probably is, since it seems like a common enough occurence)... Yuu is nowhere to be seen. Neither is Grim-... Something must've happened when they jumped through the mirror to escape, because not only is Storykeeper!MC standing in the middle of NRC before the chain of events they were JUST watching over, but they've completely ousted Yuu and taken their place somehow. No way back to THEIR realm, possibly being hunted, and not only have they interfered with a story, they may have completely thrown it off course with no way to fix it!
♤♡---◇♧
How far did Storykeeper!MC see into the story? Do they know the Overblots are coming, can they stop it from happening if so- will they not try to because they've changed the story enough? Will they be completely blindsided- who knows?

Fayde: Wardrobe
Back when Fayde was alive, it was very much the dark ages compared to the present, and she was definitely poor. It wasn't easy to make ends meet, but she managed. She had the long dresses and cloaks you would expect (they weren't all blue, though those were really the only pictures I liked), maybe one or two nice things she would save for special occasions. Everything was mended repeatedly over the years and once it was outgrown or too ragged she'd reuse it for patches and things like that.
Fayde fed into the dark, and how she felt when everything came crashing down around her. And while the world was moving forward, everything was the same in the Keeper's World. She dressed like the dark, shadowy being she felt she was supposed to act like with this role.
Even when she got dumped into NRC, she continued to dress like this to begin with. It became her comfort to fall back on for all these years- this character she became. Much cleaner, neater, plainer than when she was alive. Almost all black, trying to blend into the background.
It takes a lot to drag Fayde into the present... so it's a good thing she ends up making a lot of friends at NRC, she can't fight them all off!
In all seriousness though, the more her own personality breaks through, the more it matches her new wardrobe. Bright colors, pretty patterns, feminine styles. Fluffy dresses and layered jewelry, cuddly sweaters. And green- lots of green and flower patterns. Big messenger bags and backpacks, not those tiny little clutch purses- she's the type to over pack for just about everything.
Halloween on the right and Camp Vargas on the left. She isn't too interested in the costumes during Halloween... but why not dress up from another era and tell stories to the guests (aside from the Magicam Monsters)? Scary stories and old fairytales alike, she'll put on a one person show to entertain them if she has to! (Not that it's a chore, she loves telling a good story)
As for camping, she'd probably be playing score keeper/referee like Yuu in the event. Maybe she'd even help out with a touch of her magic- to sell the illusion an all...! Either way, you've got to be dressed for some wear and tear when your in the middle of a survival camp.
During the Ghost Marriage, she doesn't really wear anything special; the same dark style she prefers in her role. She loses her temper trying to talk some sense into Eliza, said a few things she shouldn't, and got herself slapped.

Melanie Riordan: Wardrobe
Note: I didn't do a panel for home because Jade and Floyd have said clothes weren't much use underwater, I'm sure it would be the exact same for Melanie.
Of all the different styles and trends Melanie has tried, her favorite is definitely the posh/chic. Bright colors, skirts, frills. High heels are a must- this girl must have a few scars from how many times she face planted learning to walk in them. No brand clothing (she can't afford it), but she picks things out that looks good on her. It doesn't need to have a fancy name to do that... she'll oggle the fashion magazines for hours though.
If Melanie could get away with wearing ballgowns everywhere, she would. But even she knows there's a line between overdressed and ridiculous, and she stays just to the side of the former. Shockingly, she doesn't pick out a lot of extreme patterns, she tends to stick to one color. Maybe some pretty detailing or sparkles- but even her wigs, she picks out more plain styles and colors. She makes up for it all with the shoes she picks out- gawdy patterns and bright colors all the way.
Camp Vargas on the right, Halloween (of course) on the left. Someone had to tell Melanie that skirts and heels don't mix with camping. She hated it. More than the horror of being chased by some unidentified monster... never again.
As for Halloween, she went all out. She's loved just about everything up on land ten times more than back in the Coral Sea, and this is no different! The cute costumes and decorations and food and... every second she doesn't have to be in uniform, she's decked out for the holiday from head to toe.
As for Ghost Marriage... Melanie didn't get to dress up at all. She barged in guns blazing with the 'jilted-girlfriend' act. And she was impressive at it! ... Until she slipped up and Eliza called the bluff. She got slapped. She was in a bad mood the rest of the night.

I'm not sure how long Genshin Impact will hold my attention this time around, but the thrill of pulling for characters is definitely something that keeps drawing me back. I could sit for hours just going through the stories and voice lines of new characters and be perfectly content.
