These are the berries of Juniperus oxycedrus. The cade oil (= something like tar actually) is produced by them. Only the rectified oil should be used, as the tar contains carcinogenic substances. The rectified oil is indicated for skin and scalp disorders, as psoriasis. Cade and birch tar are two essential oils produced by dry distillation—no water is used in that process (also known as destructive or empyreumatic distillation).
