new island 😌 resident rep jupiter.
i think restarting might be my favorite part of playing this game lol. i am going to try to play it how i did a previous island…just stay in early game and try to stay in the first version of my single studio sized house. i am also going to invite the first villagers i see to achieve the campsite. i’m thinking city vibes! fall into winter etc

I HAVE NOW 100%’ed STARDEW VALLEY
THREE TIMES.
#shut up me#i did a completionist run like years ago right and it was time consuming but i did it#then came the ginger island update. and like 80 more hours or content and so much more completionist shit#i believe i had two jobs at the time but whatever who cares. grinded it out in a few weeks#then mr conape himself said IM NOT THROUGH WITH YOU and YOU KNOW WHAT SIR#FUCK YOURSELF#HOW MANY TIMES DO WE HAVE TO DO THIS OLD MAN#stardew valley#sdv#mr ape i have only one request. the ability late in the game to marry multiple spouses. that’s all i want.#i just want to be able to marry both harvey and shane. shane takes him to sports and harvey makes him eat vegetables#and i make hundreds of thousands of gold every season with my optimized sprinklers and junimo huts

I think it's so funny to decorate room by room because you can tell which room I have no clue what to do with
#stardew valley#sdv#video games#gaming#sdv farmhouse#the junimo plant is LITERALLY the best furniture item#it's SUCH a good space taker#i think the last room is just going to be a partial indoor greenhouse and butterfly farm#and then just a reading nook#i like that the island house is literally just the farmer's. it would be cool if your spouse could visit it when they go to the beach tho#but like. it's JUST the farmer's space. you don't have to worry about furniture obscuring pathing of the spouse/children#so when i decorate this house i always like to go 'what would *i* want in this space'#i honestly really like how this house is turning out. i didn't think it would take the direction it did lol#it's a very blue house which is surprising because my favourite colour is yellow and i usually decorate with it primarily

Spent the morning on bloodborne and the evening on stardew valley... Very different states of play. In bloodborne I've got 19 in blood tinge and 23 in endurance. In stardew valley I've got a 6 in fishing and 4 in foraging.
I've started the beach farm, which is a fairly challenging one and not one I'd recommend to new players - sprinklers don't work in the sand that's 70% of the whole farm. I figured going in I'd have to change my usual methods (huge fields) in favour of, well, everything else.
Usually my main focus is on the crops, with only a small orchard and few tapped trees, one shed, one coop and barn each. Most space goes to crops and, of course, animal grass. I've never had enough grass to sustain itself no matter what fencing techniques I use, so this time I'm going to section off a full third of the farm just to let them run free and hopefully get something I don't have to keep replacing, especially once I swap to blue grass late game.
I've also dedicated the little grassy meadow area to just decoration, which isn't my usual style but I was a little overwhelmed with the size. It'll be nice. I've planned for a hut and a well, just to feel nice.
When drawing up the blueprints on the sdv planner thing I like to leave it fairly undecorated, because a) that takes ages and b) it's nice to be able to come up with the designs organically with the actual resources I have when it becomes time and not try to get it pixel perfect according to a map I drew up weeks/months ago and c) inevitably it will fall apart and I'll have to do it differently anyway. So. No idea on the details or even if everything will work out as I hope but fingers crossed!!
I don't have any hardwood on the farm, I like to use the quarry for that, so that saves space. And I've remembered to block out a space for the stable! Didn't do that last time XD. I hope I'll be able to even fence off a little pseudo field. I really need to check if trees work the way I remember, I'm hoping for a proper orchard!
Ooh and I moved the greenhouse! I normally keep it close to where it started, but man I appreciate the ability to move it around. Took it off the little island and moved it just below my house. In its place I've built a circle of obelisks! (... Eventually. Even on my main farm I haven't got the final one (dragon teeth my beloathed.) Quite proud of that.
All these buildings, but the main path runs along the very back! I hate having stuff or paths behind buildings, doesn't feel right at all. And I'm still not fully sold on where I'm putting the silos (because I'll need SO MANY to keep like 50 animals through the winter. Will need to do the maths later) but there should be space to move around.
One of my new problems was that usually I can put everything against the walls of the farm, but I can't do that now - it's all water! It'd be weird!
My favourite part is hands down the little sandy area sticking out with the return totem mouse, because I've put my fish ponds there and I'm going to put stepping stones scattered around so it's like rock pools :D.
The most important part of any sdv farm is the ability to match play progress. A patch dedicated to mystic syrup isn't much help in the first fifty hours, but you'll need space to put them on hour 60. I've got a patch ready for banana and mango trees, but for the majority of the time it's going to be more tree tappers, and maybe some seasonal forage seeds. The slime hutch is conveniently placed to leave empty, but if any of my other areas don't work the over flow can go there. I can fit it in the meadow.
But seriously, this is such a hard farm to design! I looked up inspiration and everything was either min maxed to death and stupidly high maintenance (think random tapped trees in every spare inch and 1 block wide paths) or way too aesthetic (random beehives and twisting impractical paths with long grass and stray fence posts EVERYWHERE and a plaza dedicated to the golden clock). A couple even had sprinklers in the sand, like way to show that you made it purely in the editor and haven't so much as looked at it in game.
But overall I'm really excited!! I've played a few other farms, but this is the project following in the footsteps of my year 5 wilderness farm. I feel like I've got a lot more experience and understanding of the game to bring to the table, especially late game stuff now I can't be spoiled, and I'm ready to tackle this challenge.
#Honestly between this and bloodborne I'm having the best time. Sdv is a nice palate cleanser after the gore and horror of bb#We need to invent a game that does both of these things XD.#I hope I can fit the junimo hut in this time. Didn't on my main farm because I didn't believe I'd get that far so I never planned for it#Instead of shaping the farmland around the shape of sprinklers it's around the 3/6 rectangle of the upgraded watering can.#Miss my total retaining soil ngl#The ginger island farm is going to feel decadant after this lmao. Sprinklers! So much space!!#sdv#sdv farmer#Sdv farm#stardew valley#stardew farmer

MDNI 🚩🚩smut
Hi friends and followers! I just published chapter FIFTEEN of my Shane &Harvey X Reader fic!! Here a little taste of it 🥰💖📝🌸
Hot breath touches your chin as you feel him somehow moving closer to you although you didn’t see him moving. Just inches from your face you can nearly taste him. Impatiently you close the distance and meet his lips with yours. You kiss him with a warm passion that works to ease his nerves. Your hand finds its way up his chest to rest around his neck, pulling him closer. His hand snakes through your hair and tugs it intensely as his tongue permits itself to touch your lips. The way his hand pulls at your hair make the kiss feel heavenly. Your body aches for his aggressive touch.
Small sounds of pleasure leave his lips and vibrate against yours, indicating his approval of the way you are kissing him. His tongue continues to twist and fumble against yours, he tastes like fresh baked cookies.

Oh my god I woke up this morning and my Stardew Valley meta post had almost 150 notes????? Hello?????????? Anyways I started writing this last night because @moon-is-pretty-tonight left nice tags on the original so thank you so much!!
We know from the starting scenes of the game that the farmer's grandfather loved Stardew Valley. So why did he leave? Pelican Town is a good place to grow old; George and Evelyn are just fine. It's a fine place to raise a kid, but maybe he just wanted to raise his child closer to real schools and other children.
Or maybe, just maybe, he understood.
Was there a day when he was in his thirties where he looked at his friends and realized they weren't like him? That he could run faster than them, work longer, explore deeper into the hidden places of the valley?
Was there a day when he went to the wizard to ask him for help, for knowledge if nothing else? Did he learn then that his family was different? Special? Chosen? And how did he react? He couldn't possibly raise a child in the valley if they would be as strange and fey as him. He had to leave. There was no other way.
But years later, on his deathbed, did he regret that choice?
Is that why he gave the farmer the letter?
Is that why they went back home?
When the farmer steps off the bus that first day, the valley is still on the cusp of winter, just barely tipping over into spring. The flowers are starting to bloom, but a chill still hangs in the air. As soon as the farmer's boots touch the soil there's a change. The air gets warmer. The trees get greener. Not by too much, not all at once, but it changes.
The junimos watch the farmer as they do their work. They're new to farming, but take to it with frightening speed; their first batch of crops is perfect. None of the townsfolk tell them that parsnips don't normally grow in less than a week, that cauliflowers don't grow to be ten feet tall, that fairies don't visit when the sun goes down and grow potatoes and beans and tulips overnight. The junimos talk amongst themselves in their strange, wild language, and agree: this is the one. They're back. The valley recognizes its own, even when they've left for a generation. The farmers have come home.
Things change fast in the valley. The community center, empty and decrepit for so many years, is rejuvenated. (Lewis says it was abandoned only a few weeks after the farmer's grandfather left. Strange coincidence, he says, that it both came and went with the farmer's family.) The mines and the quarry, similarly abandoned, are explored for the first time in ages. The town becomes cleaner, brighter, more vibrant, happier.
And it is happier. Not just the environment, but the people. It's the talk of the town for weeks when Haley does her first closet purge. Leah's art show in the town square is a huge success. Shane's smiling for the first time since he moved to the valley. All of them, when asked, say it's all thanks to the farmer.
People love to ask why Lewis didn't fix the community center on his own. Why Willy never repaired the boat to ginger island. Why Abigail or Marlon never went down to fix the elevator in the mines, or why Clint didn't fix the minecarts.
But isn't it so much more interesting to ask how those things were there in the first place? How they got so broken down? If the stories the townspeople tell are true, the valley was once a beautiful place, flourishing and full of life; why did that change? When did it change?
Was it when the farmer's grandfather, the locus of the valley, its chosen representative, left town?
And if so, what happens when the farmer comes back?
#lich says shit#stardew valley#stardew farmer#sdv#my writing#Hope y'all enjoyed!#I'm thinking about developing this into. Like. An actual Fan Fiction. Still sort of short-form but like with more detail?#LMK if you'd be interested to see that! Also if you want to be tagged in future installations of this please just let me know :)#I'm super into this version of the farmer as like. Blessed and cryptic child of the valley with all the strange behavior that entails#If i DO write a more in-depth version of this it'll be from the perspective of someone in town#maybe Leah? She seems like she'd be the one to notice the farmer being Odd. Either that or I'll do it from the perspective of multiple--#--different people to get their unique insights and stuff#I'd also want to dig into like#The family history of the farmer. And what that's like.#Because like why did grandpa leave?#He clearly loved the valley#So why didn't he stay?#Why did he give the deed to his grandchild and not his literal child?#And is it a coincidence that everything in the valley went downhill when he left?#I don't think so.

✨PJO/HOO characters playing Stardew Valley in no particular order✨
Leo: it's a miracle his game doesn't crash with how many mods he's put in. He has several completed saves, all on different farms with different spouses. If anyone needs tips on the game, they go to him because they just know he has it all memorized.
Nico: he has a shared save with Will. He avoids the mines and the desert casino at all costs. He's mainly here for the cutscenes, Krobus, and the junimos.
Will: he does all the mining for Nico. He enjoys the grind and he relates heavily to Harvey. Him and Nico argue about whether to get a dog or a cat on the farm.
Percy: I don't think even he knows what he's doing. He didn't know he needed to water his crops, he gifts people random things without meaning to, and he put sap in the luau pot because he forgot to bring an actual ingredient. BUT, he knows every way to piss off Lewis and he takes every opportunity he can to do so.
Annabeth: she plans her farm perfectly and beautifully. She stays in the mines until 1 a.m., she ignores every villager but Linus, and she gets to level 100 of the Skull Cavern within a week of unlocking it.
Piper: I bet she's absolutely in love with Emily. Her main goal is to save her from Clint, and she probably marries Emily on Clint's birthday to REALLY break his heart. Also she probably mastered combat before any other skill.
Frank and Hazel: doing them together because they're a perfect team. They have a shared save and they accidentally speed run the game. Within the first two years, they're married, they've completed the museum, they've finished the community centre and the movie theatre, they've unlocked ginger island, and they're best friends with all the townsfolk. They don't know how they did it, it just happened.
Jason: he does the joja route just for shits and giggles, then gets really sad about it and starts a new save where he does the community centre route and marries Penny.
Reyna: she plays surprisingly normally. Nice and slow moving, not doing anything terribly dramatic, just hanging out and growing her farm. She really likes the casual gameplay.
Grover: he just watches other people play. He feels like he wouldn't enjoy it, but he looks things up on the wiki for his friends while they're playing. He knows all the lore just from the wiki and watching others play.
Thalia: honestly she'd probably use the game to live out all the romance she didn't get to experience, just for fun. She'd date all the bachelorettes at once but end up rooming with Krobus because she couldn't bring herself to choose. She'd also loooove fucking with Lewis tbh

Okay so I've been playing stardew valley for the first time.
For the past few days, I've had the game music practically muted because I was listening to the EPIC soundtrack. I just turned it back on today, and heard the Ginger Island music for the first time.
My first thought was "Open Arms" TELL ME WHY I'VE NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT THE PARALLELS BEFORE WITH THE JUNIMOS AND THE WINIONS!!
I'M IMAGINING ODYSSEUS PICKING ONE UP AND BEING LIKE "look at the way this fruit is glowing-" obsessed and may draw about this later.
(The glowing fruit could also be the stardrops AHHHHH)

Playing Stardew Valley with Gojo
[May contain slight Stardew Valley spoilers if you call them that if you haven’t played or watched people play the game fr]
Playing Stardew Valley with Gojo starts because he saw a tiktok of the junimo apples with butt cheeks mod and said you had to play the game because it was funny.
Playing Stardew Valley with Gojo consists of you guys mining together and him yelling “BABE HELP” each time a monster tries to kill him even though you’re literally right next to him
Playing Stardew Valley with Gojo is literally you decorating the farm and he’s like “OOOOHHH THIS LOOKS CUTE BABE!” after he comes back from either mining at the skull cavern or finding those goddamn golden walnuts in ginger island. Speaking of the golden walnuts, he gets really mad when he’s struggling to find some of them that he recruits you to help him- This can apply the other way around too
Playing Stardew Valley with Gojo starts with him trying to Woo you as if you were an NPC. He finds objects that you like in real life in the game and gifts it to you from time to time.
“Babe I found this amythest just for you”
“I got you this pizza”
“i found you a mushroom”
“BABE HERE” *he gifted you a seashell*
“I bought you a bouquet!” (In stardew this is a sign of romantic interest)
He gets angry at you when you talk to the single NPC’s because he knows you’re able to get with them.
And even though he has his own cabin and bed he will always go to sleep in the bed with you and will get mad if you try to leave.
Playing Stardew Valley with Gojo always lasts for a good few hours with you two talking about literally anything. Sometimes there are moments of silence but it’s not awkward it’s comfortable silence.
He makes you go to every Stardew event there is even if you’re already late game and knows what happens, he wants to just have fun with you.
He always wants to dance with you at the flower dance, and when it’s the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies he pretends as if he’s holding your hand, he’s corny
and when it’s The Feast of the Winter star he will get you a gift and asks you if it’s a much better gift than the one you received from an NPC.
Late game when it seems like there’s not much to do he’s grinding in the Saloon to complete the Junimo Cart mini game while you’re trying to make the farm look cute.
Playing Stardew Valley with Gojo is him becoming emotional(not actually) when you get married and have kids in the game because he’s so excited to do it in real life as well.
You name your Stardew children with name ideas you have for your real children.
For the farm animals he always names them after someone he knows. He named one of the chickens Nanami so he could tell him about it the next day and get him angry.
He loves playing Stardew Valley with you.
I love playing Stardew Valley with Gojo

This post is for those wanting to know more about the magic of stardew valley.
I have a green skinned farmer that I headcanon is a dryad, who is trying to reclaim a piece of her magic forest ancestral home. I imagine Caroline has dryad blood in her ancestry, too. The ancient forest magic is where the junimos come from.
There is mountain magic, which is where the dwarves are from, and the mine uses. And then there is shadow magic, which is where the shadow people come from. The wizard mainly uses shadow magic but is familiar with the other types.
It does not exist in the city. People have decided to favor technology and shun magic. Even townspeople wouldn't be caught dead using magic.
The skull cavern is a remnant of ancient people using shadow magic
There is probably some type of ocean magic, too, with the mermaids and ginger island, but I haven't thought much about that yet.
That's as far as that has gotten in my head. Maybe I'll update you all about it again later. Peace ✌️

I just discovered this Stardew Valley avatar maker and I wanted to share the avatar of my Farmer: Emi ^^
This little lady joined Stardew Valley after resigning from Joja and because she could no longer stand the big city. Her grandfather's farm, where she went as a child, became a refuge for her. She has a gray cat named Grisou (pronounced Gri-zoo and it's a nice name given to little gray animals in French).
She quickly becomes friends with Sebastien, Abigail, Emily, Linus and Jordy and does everything to make the local economy work and not Joja's. Little Junimos fascinate her and she does everything to help them.
Always looking for adventure, magic and mysteries, Emi is the kind to always search everywhere, in the mines, in the woods and on Ginger Island, befriending Krobus and the Junimos through her kindness.
Since her late mother was an artist, she quickly became closer to Elliott and helped him finish his novel… until they got married ^^
She becomes a fulfilled farmer, wife and mother.
I am currently writing a fiction about her.

i wanna make demi's ref sheet with facts so bad but again. art go bleh so the least i can do is say it instead 🙂↕️🫴
while i can accept demi (full name delilah) to be a farmer, she specialized more on fishing as i mentioned and a lot of her interests probably surround that... she probably forages a lot too. i think she would like to have someone like abigail tag along with her to slay monsters while she mines...
her favorite season is fall, her favorite festivities/events are the moonlight jellies (the fact that moonlight jellies passover and fall begins at the same time makes her very excited), night market (for the underground fishing), spirits eve and the flower dance!!
her favorite items are probably the midnight carp, rainbow shell, any type of flower (fairy roses are her big faves tho) and some food item that im still gonna think over 🤔
she really loves junimos too. cant stress that enough 😔🙏
i like to think she's some distant relative to willy and frequently visits his place to talk to him and learn from him. she's definitely eager to visit ginger island too 🤧
while she's not working, she's really active in playing video games or anything for entertainment :3 i wouldn't say shes adventurous but she is always looking to have fun somewhere!
obviously she's in an intimate relationship with sam so naturally she'd become close friends with sebastian and abigail :3 but outside of that circle, i think she'd be pretty close to penny and leah 💚 she is very friendly with sam's family too and i feel like when jodi notices sam and demi's (pre established) relationship, she kinda pushes it to happen by trying to make demi feel welcome at their place and engaging in conversations with her to understand her better... :3 vincent likes her because she surprises him with snails and other ocean critters ehehe
kent was a little worried i imagine, but he gets comfy eventually... heh

I changed my Meadowlands Farm plan, and hopefully this time, it's final 😅 You can see how the old plan looked like here.
Here's the thing about planning: You can make the prettiest farm, and everything might look right, but it's only after you play in it that you actually see if things are working right. I can't have something that just looks good in my eyes, it needs to be functional, otherwise I just stop playing. Then again, I haven't done this in my actual save, so there could still be some things that still need to be changed for the sake of my sanity, but let's hope this is it.
Keep reading for my explanation of the changes, and the mod list ⬇️
I encountered 5 main problems with my original design:
Furnaces (too far away from crafting area);
Tree Farm with hidden mushroom logs (too many different trees close to each other, means worse mushroom outcomes);
Junimo Area (cute but useless);
Artisan Machines outside (it's more practical to have them inside, next to the Deluxe Grabber);
Bee Houses are better at Ginger Island.
ALSO, I completely forgot about the desert obelisk. So yeah, the first plan had a lot of issues...
The mod list as changed as well. It's a lot longer now (literally), I wanted to make the text "Indented" (make the space between each paragraph smaller), but tumblr wouldn't let me 😩

I started playing on Brandy's save again and I was getting kinda fed up with how I had everything spread in the farm, so I compacted everything, plus added MORE fishponds for the legendary ones. Pretty happy with it :]
All the farming stuff besides the junimo hut is either on the greenhouse or ginger island, which I plan to eventually decorate before reaching perfection
