Moonlit Dreams

After their narrow escape from the wild hunt, the unicorn took Erik back to his village. Exhausted from out running the ghostly warriors of Odin, the unicorn lay down in the nearest stable. She would never do this, normally she would return to her forest, this was strange. Erik could see that she was tired, but something else was wrong, she was scared. What could this fierce beast be so afraid of? The all father Odin? Or was it someone in the wild hunt that had brought this on? Regardless the young lad knelt down next to her and patted her mane, whispering words of comfort. Soon under the light of the moon peaking out of the clouds, they fell sleep.

Hello! I'm back at it again with Junicorn! I won't be posting a huge amount this year but I do have some ideas that I want to get sketched out so we'll see if I get those finished at some point. Hope you guys are safe and well.

I'm doing the Junicorn art challenge this month, based on a list of prompts I made. Here's a little collection of the first 6 drawings :) I post them daily on my Instagram and on Cara. Any artists who haven't joined Cara yet should check it out, it's a great place completely free from AI! And if anyone else would like to try out the challenge, here's the prompt list I'm using:

They tried to take the unicorn's head as a trophy. But when they cut it from the neck, the horn would not yield. And the beast would not stay down.

Junicorn day 15, "goop". Decapitated unicorns seeking revenge is a subject I have explored before and will explore again.

I didn't wind up with the energy to complete all the MerMay prompts I posted last month, but I had fun making the prompts and seeing what everyone else made! I decided to make some Junicorn prompts, too, starting with the same "environments" idea I used for MerMay.

The goal is to draw a unicorn every day, so have fun, everyone! :D

With school almost being over for me and June right around the corner I decided I wanted to try and actually finish a month long art challenge so I made myself a prompt list for Junicorn! Feel free to use this list and make sure to tag me so I can see all of your cool unicorns!!

There aren't any strict rules with these prompts other then you have to draw a unicorn, otherwise get as creative as you want!!

The Jotun's Path

he unicorn woke to find herself alone in the barn. Dawn had just broke and Erik had left to tend to his duties. Silently she slipped out of the barn and headed back to the forest, back to her home. The mist was thick this morning and the air was cool, with a soft scent of pine dancing upon it. She walked deeper into the forest and then started to climb the steep hills within. Finally reaching a clearing on top she surveyed her surroundings. It seemed like she was alone, until a soft glow of eyes started to peer through the fog. Jotuns. Great giants of the forest, slowly walking through hulking their enormous mass through the overgrowth. The largest of which walked past her. Though she wasn't frightened of them. She never would be, for like her they were guardians of the forest. With a silent acknowledgement the unicorn continued her journey through the trees.

Bit of story time! I switched the style of this so many times agshfghd. Originally I was gonna do it with markers, then pencil (both traditional), and then I was gonna do it in my regular style, but I got fed up with the idea of lineart so I just went for lineless instead lol
