Hi guys! I just finished settling down here in New York. I'm currently renting out an apartment that'll cost me around $80 a day. It's much more expensive than motels, but where would I find cheap motels here in New York? Clearly none, a motel would cost around $150 to $250. That's why if you're planning on staying in New York, better use Airbnb or rent out an apartment if you are here for a month or more. Let me talk about my new apartment. I'm currently renting a 2 bedroom unit. I'm not planning on having a roommate. I'm using the other room as my work area then the other one as my bedroom. I have a large hallway where lyric and piper would be staying. All of my packages and different kinds of stuff would be there as well. I have a medium-sized kitchen with a bar stand. I'll be using it as my table. I don't have the best view in New York, but I have the best option right now. It fits into the budget, it's big enough for us and includes all my needs. It also gives me a free parking space, except for the lack of aesthetic, it's a catch.

I fixed Piper and Lyric's bed before going to Ikea and left them with some food. I went to target first and got some kitchen kinds of stuff, then a couple of random things. I also found a cute doll for the cats. I'll definitely cook my food here because it'll be cheaper. Then I went to the grocery and the meat market, then last stop Ikea. I bought a couple of cabinets, tables, shelves, chairs, and storage. People are literally looking at me like I'm sorta weirdo, but hey, not weird, just new in the city.

It took me a day to shop and an hour just to bring in all my things inside. I decided to cook some spam for dinner and finish everything. It's entertaining to assemble Ikea furniture. Feels like a puzzle. After throwing all the boxes and trash, I noticed how dark it is. Not because it's night, but all my stuff is black or white. Damn, I really need some colors in my life.
