To love someone is to also let them in. There’s something to be said about how love cannot sustain itself without vulnerability. To be seen wholly and understood, without tiptoeing on compromises. That’s how Park Sejin knows he’s loved and will continue to be. It’s when Daehyun locks his pinky around his, a small gesture with valued intent. He doesn’t have to say anything; just through touch alone, Daehyun knows. And that’s the kind of person he is. All knowing.
Daehyun isn’t a person who’s amused by meaninglessness. This makes Sejin believe that he’s loved just as Daehyun seems to know him a little better than he’d like to think. Sejin will move forward from today, knowing he won’t have to beg to be loved and appreciated. It’s the greatest thing one can get out of love if sincere as can be.
A coppery aftertaste lingers after Sejin’s been kissed. Faintly, it dissolves on his tongue. His eyes gather by Daehyun’s lips, the keycard in his hand, until Sejin manages to find Daehyun’s eyes.
A part of him is made to think he’ll always be apologizing for Daehyun’s behalf. He’s got a family whose wealth and greatness can outrun generations to unfold. An unwavering sense of sadness seems to always follow Daehyun as his life was conceptually built on strategic pillars. He has committed to Sejin even if he shouldn’t.
Prematurely on paper, the two sound doomed from the start.
And it’s got nothing to do with being from bum fuck nowhere, or having a sad excuse of a family who brought Sejin up only because they felt sorry that his mother abandoned him as she wasn’t going to allow herself to be stuck. It’s got nothing to do with the shitty, dead-end laundromat that his aunt runs with her dreary husband and the fact that Sejin’s a boy, and just an ordinary boy that has nothing to write home to. It’s definitely got nothing to do with being everything Daehyun shouldn’t want to like, or be with.
You see, Sejin doesn’t like to spend too much of his time wallowing in depressive, nonsensical and one-sided disputes questioning the validity of their relationship. Yet, he remains thoughtful of his shortcomings. Today was just one of those days that summited the obvious: what he has with Daehyun is wrong. It seems to be one of the lesser inflammatory sins that Sejin compiled, in order to defeat his worth of Jung Daehyun.
Sejin says nothing when Daehyun speaks. He doesn’t break the calm determination in his gaze. Sejin’s eyes feel tired and there’s an ache in his chest that feels more like he’s been emotionally wounded than physical pain itself. Silently, he nods to his lover’s reassurance. He gives him strength and without it, could Sejin’s morale be decimated until there’s nothing but cold feet.
He could still hear Daehyun’s voice as they make their way into the lobby, up a stuffy elevator, and down the long halls that await their suite. May it stay with him forever.
What’s behind the door of their suite is an endless blue of the ocean. It’s reflective of the sky, the sea mimicking a mirror into the universe. The view has Sejin huddled by the door, allowing for Daehyun to enter with their belongings. He fixes his sneakers besides the pair that Daehyun owns.
Sejin looks up to find him smacked against the bed. He elicits a sound enlivened by Daehyun’s newfound relief. “Now imagine taking the train to get here,” Sejin returns, unwrapping last year’s scarf from around his neck. “It could’ve saved us some money, but after all that, I think we both deserve something a little more.. agreeable.” He hangs up the coat with the scarf, and gently sprays the provided fabric freshener sitting in the closet.
Approaching the vast window, Sejin gently pulls apart the curtains to allow for sunlight to enter the room. He no longer has the energy to wallow and loll around in misery that cannot be undone. Sejin has decided he cannot change what’s been done, cemented, or said. The glistening waters of the ocean subdues him and unconsciously wants him to release all of his contained distresses.
He slowly turns towards Daehyun, still lying atop of the bed. “Hm?”
Sejin meets him by the bed and pretends to sigh with annoyance. An impish flicker in his eyes would demonstrate that he’s nothing of the sort. Annoyed, that is.
“You’re bringing all the germs onto the bed with your outside clothes,” he says, making a playful fuss. Sejin goes against his word and lies down too, starfish style and all. He gets up and changes his position to his side to get a better look at Jung Daehyun. He’s as handsome as day, always has been.
“I’m starting to get my appetite back,” Sejin reveals. He leans in to brush some of Daehyun’s hair away from his eyes. “Food can wait. I was hoping to relax for a moment, especially after all that happened.”
Sejin inhales. When he exhales, stress and agony combined leave his nervous system.
“I don’t want to dwell on it for too long, but thank you,” he says. “Thank you for being there for me. It really meant a lot to me. I know I can’t change the outcome, so there’s no use to mope around what’s impossible. We did what we could.” Sejin’s smile is gentle. He kisses Daehyun’s forehead and sits up.
“Now, get off the bed! We’re in both need of a shower.”
the gentle lull of the car almost puts daehyun to sleep. the outskirts coming back from wonbin’s family home has too many potholes. the ride is as bumpy as was the earlier conversation had with sejin’s parents that what he thought started off okay and only turned into a cataclysmic nightmare. there’s raised voices and words exchanged that daehyun hadn’t anticipated, and it leaves the two men in a sour state of displacement and unwelcome. he hadn’t realized that until now, daehyun had been tearing apart the delicate fibers of his gums between his top and bottom molars and biting so hard until they began to bleed.
nobody listens when sejin opens his mouth to speak, and all daehyun has in his control is his patience to keep his own emotions in check, even when sejin is reduced to tears. again. it's not the first, and though sejin had wanted to make this trip to try and give his family members' the benefit of the doubt over their demonstrated small mindedness, there was no glimmer of hope when the validity of their own choices in life suddenly fell under the intense scrutiny of what is deemed right in god's eyes and the inevitable sentencing to hell for the both of them.
it always left a small tear in daehyun's heart when he saw sejin in such distress, but this visit was something else. it was supposed to be a holiday for them to enjoy, yet instead, sejin is full of apologies.
his gaze falls down to find the male's pinky and lock it with his own. he doesn't care who sees. people shouldn't care. anyone who does, he thinks, has too much free time on their hands and really should get a hobby. sejin's aunt and husband included.
the backseat is too dark to see and guess much of what's on sejin's mind, but judging from the lightness in his voice and his attempt to sound optimistic, daehyun knows he's stewing inside. he hums softly to acknowledge what he's said, but doesn't want to say much with their driver opting out of turning his radio on for the ride home. his pinky coils around sejin's smaller finger and holds it tightly. a small message that tells him it's okay, i understand. none of this is your fault.
daehyun unloads their luggage from the trunk once they've finally arrived after the world's seemingly longest cab ride and thanks the driver with a polite bow before he's on his way. he digs into his own coat pocket to fumble for his own card holder and eventually, after some time of mild panic rubbed off onto him from the other, pulls it out to hand to sejin. now that they're back at the hotel with better lighting, he can see the bags that have begun to find their home under sejin's eyes, pupils dark and almost a little sad. he slips the key card into his hand and leans in to give him a quick kiss.
it's late now, so there's nobody around to see, but even if there was, daehyun is really beginning to feel over it.
"it's okay," catching sejin's gaze, he speaks to him quietly under his breath. a hand reaches out from his coat pocket to squeeze the male's arm assuringly. "hey, look at me. we're going to get through this. i'm with you, okay?" even if it means he has to suffer the brute of eternally disapproving in-laws who show them no mercy, daehyun can only look at sejin with the softest eyes and a heart that never wants to leave his side. daehyun would go color blind without sejin there to give his world its color.
he'll pay the replacement fee for a new key, it doesn't matter. he knows sejin's brain is fried and there's nothing more that can be done to rectify their situation tonight except order room service and get him showered and into clean clothes. he gets a new key on the way up to their room, elevator just a little too warm that it makes daehyun's turtleneck itch. he trails sejin from behind with both bags until finally making it back to their door after what felt like an absolute eternity.
"finally," he groans after they've discarded their shoes at the doorway and daehyun flops himself down starfish style onto the mattress in defeat. "oh my god, i needed to stretch my back so badly after that long ass ride. that felt like forever." it's a simple way for him to leave the conversation open to sejin if he needs to air more grievances now in the privacy of their own room or to let it go for the evening. "did you want to order something to eat? you barely ate much at your aunt's."

Daehyun and someone wearing his sweater/sweatshirt please!
do you really have to make me feel this attacked?? This is so cute I can’t >.
He’d finally caught you.
Tip-toeing closer towards the door, he opened it a little further, a mischievous smile spreading across his lips as he watched you just casually sitting legs-crossed on the bed, browsing on your phone. Wearing something he knew you wore every now and then, but something you wouldn’t admit to wearing for some reason.
“Comfortable?”
Your first initial reaction was to squeak with all your might, the second thing you did being preventing yourself from falling out of bed out of surprise. A chuckle escaped him as he stood in the doorway and watched your struggle, crossing his arms over his chest and simply enjoying the view. The surprise in your face, the blush creeping across your cheeks… That damn sweater of his on you, and the way it looked like the most adorable tent he’d seen and at the same time looked like it had always belonged there like that. He never understood what exactly was so appealing about seeing you in his clothes, all he knew was that he liked the sight a lot. And it was something he could successfully tease you about, which was always a bonus.
“Still has my scent on it, eh?”
You wanted to roll your eyes at him so bad, but couldn’t deny that yes, the sweater definitely had it’s fair share of Daehyun still attached to it, and yes, it made you comfortable, yes, it made you feel better. You glanced back at him and at the a little too cocky and over-confident look in his eyes. You were aware that he too knew he was right, but you couldn’t let that go to his head. And wouldn’t let him off without shaming him either.
“And I look so damn adorable in it that you can’t tear your eyes off of me, eh?”
Damn right.
“Guess we each have our own benefits in this situation,” he rose a brow, effortlessly sliding in through the half-open door and making his way to you, “The question is, whose benefits are better?”
“Daehyun-ah,” you furrowed your brows in annoyance and whined, but it was too late. In a moment he was already on the bed and you were being scooped up in his arms, regardless if you wanted to or not, “Just leave me alone, you’re being annoying-”
“Am not.”
“Yes you are,” you repeated, this time in a more persistent voice, though it didn’t do much as he just made himself more comfortable and rested his chin on your shoulder instead of leaving like you wanted him to.
“No, I’m not.”
“Daehyun-ah, you’re getting on my nerves-”
With a swift move, two of his fingers slid under your shin and he tilted your head to the side just enough to brush his lips against yours. His other hand wrapped around your waist, your own palm landing upon his and your fingers intertwining as he continued kissing you lightheartedly and slowly, in a way that felt just right for this specific moment. It was annoying, the way all of your annoyance just faded away when he did as much as this. But it was better than just wearing his sweater. It felt so satisfying to have him around and have him being affectionate like this, you felt yourself melting into his touch more and more with every passing second.
“I have one that’s dark blue, with a ribbon on the front,” he said quietly after he broke the kiss, and he bit his lip a little, looking down at the sweater, “That one’s going to suit you so well.”
“Are you trying to make me look like a present or something?”
“Well, you have to look presentable, right?” he smirked cheekily again, chuckling as he received a playful slap to his chest for another lame pun of his. A slap from a hand that’s downed out in a sleeve way too long for it.. He just couldn’t help but notice all the little detail and couldn’t get enough of it at the same time. You were attached enough to him to wear his clothes, and that certainly made him feel like he was on cloud nine.
“You’re lucky you’re cute.”
“I know,” he couldn’t help but plant another quick kiss on your lips before moving his head back to resting on your shoulder and watched as you took your phone back in your hand, your other hand’s fingers still tangled with his as you resumed what you were doing prior to him invading your personal space, “But you’re by far superior to me in that aspect.”

Chance Encounters//Jung Daehyun (B.A.P)
Pairing: Jung Daehyun x Reader
Genre: Fluff
Warnings: Unorganized and probably a lot of typos lol
Words: 2.5k
(A/N: E’Dawn and HyunA are dating and I’M FUCKING STOKED! But that’s for another post for another time. Anyways, here’s this.”
“We first saw each other at a concert a few years ago but didn’t speak. But, later, my friend’s car broke down so we had to hitchhike our way home, which was almost 15 miles away and, surprise, it was Seungjin and his friend in this huge truck. He sat in the back with me and we talked all night until they dropped us off at our apartment and I forgot to ask for his number. Turns out, he was hired at my dad’s car dealership and, from there, we began dating. Now, we’re a few months from our wedding. I guess it was fate.”
You rolled your eyes as your coworker told the cliché story for the millionth time today, everyone gathered around her desk to gaze at her engagement ring, congratulating her and asking if they’ll be invited to the wedding. Fate was such a ridiculous concept to you. The idea that some supernatural being made the impossible possible almost made you laugh, instead you scoffed. The group of heads turned to you as you focused on your desktop screen, typing away as they glared at you. You weren’t necessarily the office downer, just the person that saw reality and forced it into places that should be filled with some kind of fun.
“Problem, (Y/N)?” Your eyes shot up at the sudden call of your name, your fingers ceasing their movements as your hands found their way under your chin, holding you up as you stared at the crowd, a fake smile forming on your lips.
“No problem, just think you’re all a bit delusional.”
“You have no spirit, (Y/N). Maybe that’s why you’re still single.” The comment made your eyes twitch in annoyance before you returned your attention to the unfinished document, beginning to type as you tried to ignore her words but couldn’t help but respond.
“I’m single by choice. My job is my main priority right now, not a relationship and, if a relationship is your main focus, you need to rethink a lot of things in your life.” The words stunned everyone. They were filled with so much spite and bitterness, from a place only you know about and certainly weren’t willing to share with anyone.
“Okay, didn’t mean to offend you. But just wait, you’ll find a guy just like I did and then you’ll believe.”
“Doubt it but thanks.”
You gasped as the sound of the fire alarm rang throughout the large space, everyone standing cautiously while looking around for the source, a panicked intern rushing out and searching frantically for a fire extinguisher.
“What’s going on?” You could hear your boss’ voice as she moved from her office, staring down everyone before the obviously teenaged boy stepped forward, fire extinguisher in his arms.
“I went to make coffee and looked away for a few seconds and one of the filters caught fire. I don’t know how, I was just doing what you asked.”
“There’s smoke!”
The black clouds started rolling out and everyone began to panic, many screaming as they abandoned their items and rushed straight to the elevator, a few grabbing the extinguisher to fight the flames themselves, and some, like you, grabbing their belongings and heading straight for the stairs and right out of the building. It was obvious no one would stick around for work that day so why bother staying? You could finish your work from home anyways.
You sighed as you made it outside but suddenly jumped back at the sound of large raindrops hitting the pavement. The forecast didn’t call for rain today, besides, it was summer! You took the bus today but obviously couldn’t wait out in this weather, but standing by a burning building wouldn’t be smart either. You placed your messenger bag over your head before sprinting down the street, flinching at the random burst of thunder while trying to find somewhere to stay. This day was turning out to be the worse than you expected but you weren’t alone.
Was Daehyun a bad driver? That was debatable. But, today, his driving wasn’t the problem. He sat, wide-eyed, as his car suddenly stopped, the sound of his radio now gone and replaced with the rain hitting his car. He was in the middle of the street, a car honking behind him as he tried to start the car but to no avail. He jumped at the loud knock on his window, his eyes finding an angry man with his hand over his head. Daehyun rolled down his window, prepared for the anger this man obviously had.
“What are you doing? Can’t you see there’s almost 5 cars behind you?”
“I’m sorry but my car won’t start.”
The man nodded understandingly before motioning for him to step out of the car, moving back to his own and speaking to one of his three passengers. Daehyun stepped out and braced himself for the rain, upset he didn’t bring an umbrella. The man quickly came back as another exited the car and went into the driver’s seat.
“I’ll help you push it out of the way but I can’t help you start it.”
“Thank you.” Despite being drenched by the rain and having his car suddenly crash on him, Daehyun smiled, moving behind his car with the man and pushing it forward. It moved easily despite weighing much more than both of them.
As they found the closest spot in front of a small, family owned restaurant, pushing the car near the curb before Daehyun turned to thank they man once more, you rushed inside, letting out a deep sigh of relief and anger. Your bag was soaked, all of your work and laptop probably destroyed. You sadly began to dig through your bag, searching through each folder to make sure nothing was destroyed.
The chatter from the somehow overcrowded bakery drowned out the chime from the door, Daehyun stepping inside and pushing a hand through his hair to remove his wet bangs from his eyes. A young woman looked over and excitedly made her way towards him.
“Hi. How may I help you?”
“Table for one, please.” You and Daehyun spoke simultaneously as you quickly abandoned your search. You looked at one another as the woman nodded awkwardly, going off to find two tables for you both.
You two just stared at each other, taking in the fact you were both disasters but still flattering and attractive. You shifted slightly under his gaze, looking away as if nothing had just happened but he refused to. There was something so familiar about you, he just didn’t know what.
“Right this way.” The woman came back with a smile, your eyes widening as you waved her off.
“We’re not toge-“
“Thank you. Let’s go.” Daehyun interrupted you and guided you ahead of him, your face filled with confusion as to why he did that and why you were still going along with him.
You shyly thanked the woman as you slid into your seat, Daehyun sitting across from you as she placed two menus onto the table, stepping away to allow you decide what to order. You stared the stranger down, his eyes scanning the booklet as if you weren’t there before glancing up at you, a small smile forming on his face.
“Why’d you do that?”
“No one likes to eat alone.”
“Well, you obviously don’t know me.” You shot back but, instead of another witty comment, you found his hand in front of you, waiting expectantly.
“We have some time before anyone plans on leaving out of here so, why not get to know each other? I’m Daehyun.” You grimaced at his hand before looking back outside, the storm seeming to continue.
You were starving and he didn’t seem like too much of a weirdo so, hesitantly, placed your hand in his, shaking it slightly before pulling away and grabbing the stray menu.
“(Y/N).”
As much as you hated to admit it, the day went from bad to worse to actually decent. Daehyun wasn’t as weird as you thought. He had definitely had his quirks but, overall, he was an open and genuine guy, making you smile just because he did, impressing you by how much he ate, and even finding an interest in you. You learned that he was a singer and he learned that you were an accountant. He told you about his group members, even going as far as to try to fix your laptop because “one of them deals with electronics all the time and he might have learned something from watching him.”
By the time you glanced up, you noticed the restaurant start to clear out, the storm completely gone and replaced with sunshine. You and Daehyun were no longer eating but just talking, his head tilting as he stared at you a bit longer before gasping loudly, causing you to jump in confusion.
“I remember you. You went to one of my plays. I think the guy next to you was talking the entire time.” Your eyes widened at the sudden memory.
You had begged your ex to take you to the play after learning it was based on your favorite French novel. Although he took you, he talked the entire time, trying to make jokes about the plot and characters while annoying everyone in the process, leaving you embarrassed the entire night.
“So you’re an actor too? You’re just full of surprises.” The comment was simple but made his smile grow, yours following. It was contagious.
The same woman from before came, placing the check on the table but, before he could even move, Daehyun placed his card inside and handed it back to her.
“You didn’t have to do that.”
“I wanted to. Besides, now we have a little more time to talk before we have to leave.” The woman walked over once more and placed the card on the table, Daehyun freezing slightly which made you giggle.
“How about we just get going?” The words pained you when they left your mouth but there wasn’t much else to do and you didn’t have to wait inside forever.
You grabbed your bag and went to stand, Daehyun looking at you with a strange look, somewhat of guilt and embarrassment, causing you to raise an eyebrow at him.
“Actually, my car isn’t working. It just stopped so I guess I’m stuck here.”
You rolled your eyes and motioned for him to follow you, you both making your way outside the restaurant and to his car before you waved down an older male entering his car. He looked at you as if you were crazy before finally going towards you. He thought it was ridiculous that you were asking for rubber gloves and jumper cables but complied, digging them out of his trunk as you rolled up your sleeves.
“Okay, pay close attention, Daehyun.” And he did, watching in amazement as you went step by step in full detail about jumpstarting his car.
He did know what he enjoyed more, the way you looked genuinely excited as you taught him or the smile on your face when he went into his car and started it, everything turning on as if it wasn’t dead just an hour ago.
You detached the wires and handed the gloves back to the man, thanking him for lending his equipment and engine to help the stranger you now considered a friend. You reached down and grabbed your bag before going to the car window, your smile having yet to fall.
“Where are you going now?” Daehyun asked, your finger pointing down the street to the unsheltered bus stop.
“Home. It’s almost 5 and I have a ton of work to do.”
“I can take you. I think I owe you that much, right?” You bit your lower lip thoughtfully. He didn’t owe you anything, you just used some simple skills of yours to help him out; nothing more, nothing less. But, you have grown fond of his company, and the ride would be short anyways.
Without another word, you opened the door, sliding inside and placing your seatbelt on. You could feel his eyes on, your head snapping in his direction so that your eyes met but he looked away shyly.
“Cute.” You said plainly while reaching out to ruffle his hair as he pulled away from the restaurant.
The drive was quiet but in a comfortable way, both of you deep in thought as the voice of Daehyun’s GPS echoed in the background. There was no doubt in your mind that this would be the last time you saw each other, maybe by some chance you’d meet again but he was a singer and actor, he had so many more things to do than be trapped in this city. After just about an hour or so with him, were you really this attached? Already dreading the second you’ll be home?
Daehyun knew his career would lead him places, and he was prepared for that from the start, but now he didn’t want to leave. From the moment he met you to now, he learned that you were sarcastic, smart, funny, strict about your passions, and a lot more shy than you’d like to admit. He actually liked being around you, finding typical things about you enjoyable, almost endearing. He didn’t care if this would be his last time seeing you for weeks or months, just as long as it wasn’t forever.
“The destination is on your left.”Daehyun followed the GPS’ instructions, finding himself outside of a fairly large apartment complex.
You unbuckled your seatbelt and grabbed your bag turning to say goodbye to him before feeling his arms around you, your body stiff as he held you in a tight hug before slowly releasing you, realizing how sudden and awkward it must have been for you.
“Sorry, I just-“ He cleared his throat, buying some time as he thought about his next words.
“I go on tour in about a week and I was wondering if you wanted to hang out again before I go.”
The question came so fast but not as fast as your hand grabbing his phone, quickly sliding to his contacts and eagerly typing your name and number inside. You felt like a teenager finally asking their crush out and not being rejected, your heart racing as you texted yourself a simple ‘Hi’ to make sure you had his number before handing the device back to him, his eyes slightly wide at the action.
“I’m free tomorrow and can basically work from home any other day.”
“So, I’ll see you tomorrow?” You nodded before exiting the car, not wanting to show too much excitement before you both said your goodbyes, your eyes following his car as he drove off.
You couldn’t help but think about your coworkers. They’d call this fate but you thought of it more as a chance encounter, a coincidence, maybe even a phenomenon.
“(Y/N)!” You gasped as you saw Daehyun running down the street, his car behind him as he rushed towards you, your bag in his hands.
He slowed down before nearly crashing into you, smiling as you reached out to grab the damp parcel.
You refused to call this fate but it was definitely something.

Second Chances
Desc.: Daehyun cheats on his gf after one yr (dating) anniversary while she is away; he realizes his mistake Word count: 3,414
You sighed as Daehyun laced his fingers through your hair and lazily tried to braid it. You looked up at him, your head rested in his lap .You smiled. He sort of scowled when he was really focused, his eyes held an intense gaze. He noticed you watching him, and took the opportunity to be greasy, “I know I’m beautiful, but staring is rude.” He grinned as you rolled your eyes.
It was relaxing to be with him, something you wouldn’t expect if you saw him with his friends or B.A.P. When he was with them—especially Youngjae or Himchan, he was always yelling and acting wild. Although he could be like that with you sometimes, he also took on this calmer nature at times. You weren’t able to see this side of him as often; he worked a lot, and usually when you saw him he was with others.
“What are you thinking about? You look all serious,” he stopped braiding (more like tangling).
“You,” you replied truthfully.
“Well that’s nothing new. We both know you can’t keep your mind off me,” he smirked.
You sat up and folded your legs, turning to face him, “Why are you like this?”
He shrugged, “Pshh, like any of it isn’t true.” He smiled and kissed your hand as you shook your head. “Our one year is coming up,” he started, “What do you want to do? I was thinking-wait. You tell me first.”
“Hmm...” you rested your elbows on your thighs and cupped your face with your hands. “Wait until it’s closer. Then we have more time to decide.”
“What if I just surprise you instead?”
“It’s what you’re planning to do anyway. I’ll just pretend I’m choosing something. Give me time to think about it,” you kissed his nose.
“Your aim is terrible. You missed,” he said as he leaned in and pecked you on the lips.
“You’re leaving for a year? A whole three hundred sixty-five days? That’s like, forever!” Daehyun pouted and pulled you into his arms.
“You’re being dramatic. I know it’s a long time, but I’ll be back before you know it,” you smiled.
“Lies,” he mumbled and frowned.
“Dae, please try to be understanding. I promise, I’ll come back,” you reassured him.
He sighed and stayed silent for a moment. “Well...what if you like being away more? Or you meet someone else while you’re gone,” his gazed dropped from yours and his lips curled downward.
“Dae, you know that won’t happen. Remember what you said? I’m hopelessly in love with you,” you grinned. “There’s nothing to worry about. I’ll think about you and miss you every day. And when I come back, I’ll love you even more.”
Daehyun made a face, then pressed his face in your neck, “Okay.”
On the day you left, you almost missed your flight. You made sure to get up extra early and met Daehyun before you left. On the way, there you looked up at the sky; it was changing from sunrise colors to a pale blue early morning sky peeking through the grey-white clouds. It reflected your melancholy mood. The air was still cold, not piercing, but enough to make you shiver. As soon as he saw you, Daehyun pulled you into a tight embrace. He wouldn’t let go, no matter how many times you told him you’d be late. It was warm in his arms, and you wished you could stay there. You knew you’d miss him, and already that feeling was starting to set in, or rather make you feel empty.
“Will you stay if you miss the plane?” he mumbled, eyes closed.
“You know I can’t,” you sighed.
He stayed silent before opening his eyes and reluctantly letting you go. “Be safe, don’t forget me,” he locked eyes with you. “I miss you already.”
You pressed your lips together in an attempt to keep from letting the emptiness of being lonely. “I miss you too. I won’t forget you, dork,” you smiled before he kissed you. He wrapped his scarf around your neck and kissed your forehead before you left.
After you left, you could feel sadness building up in you.
The following year seemed to drag out for an eternity. Every day away from him felt somewhat surreal. The two of you talked almost every day for the first few months. Halfway there you told yourself. Six more months and you could be home, in his arms and him in yours. You could see his smile and hear his laugh and watch his eyes twinkle mischievously in person.
As time went on, you both became busier; your workload had increased. B.A.P had a comeback, so Daehyun was always performing or recording or shooting or filming. And when he wasn’t doing one of those, he was attempting to get some sleep in. So the everyday calls became a-few-times-a-week calls. After a while, even those became maybe once-a-week calls. You missed talking to him every day and hearing him recap the day’s events, and rattling off your own. Although your friends here listened, you didn’t want to be mundane and repetitive; most people aren’t interested in every minute detail of someone else’s daily life. But Daehyun would listen as though it were the most interesting thing in the world, he’d watch you give your demonstrations and make expressions to go along with stories if you were video chatting, and if it was a regular phone call he gave verbal responses so that you’d know he was listening. He laughed even when the things you said weren’t all that funny, and he’d smile warmly and tell you he missed you. At night when you couldn’t sleep he’d sing for you over the phone with his honey-like voice until you drifted off.
By the end few months, the two of you barely talked, if at all. You were always busy; your time abroad was coming to a close and that meant it was the busiest time of the year; everything was due. B.A.P. had had a second comeback towards the end of that time as well, so you knew Daehyun would be busy. He occasionally crossed your mind, and sometimes while you were doing work your thoughts would wander to him, and you’d wonder what he was doing, if he was thinking of you too. Less than a month left before you’d be home, and you could be together again. You grinned to yourself at the thought of being back in his arms and hearing his stupid greasy comments.
On the plane you fell asleep, and dreamed of being back home. The food, the scenery, the smells all seemed so real. You ran down the streets and suddenly you were in the living room. Daehyun greeted you and you latched onto him, he picked you up and began spinning, the sound of your combined laughter filling the room. When you awoke, you gazed out the window, watching the layer of clouds below as the plane began its slow descent. The dream felt so real. You could feel his warmth on your arms, the laughter echoed in your mind. In only hours, you would no longer have a long-distance relationship.
As you made your way to Daehyun’s place, you wondered if you should call him before showing up at his door. No, a surprise is better. Then you could see the shock and joy intermingled in his face before you lunged into his arms.
You still had a key to his apartment, so you went to unlock the door, but it had already been unlocked. He was home, like you’d hoped. You gently pressed on the door, opening it slowly to keep from making a sound. Daehyun was there. He stood at an angle where he couldn’t see you, but you could see him. Even if you had been in plain view, he wouldn’t have seen you. His lips were locked with another girl; long dark hair tied in an effortless ponytail, cutely dressed in a loose flowy blouse and skirt, arms wrapped around his neck, his hands rested on her tiny waist. You froze in place, appalled at what you saw. You felt as if the air had been knocked out of you and everything seemed to fade into desaturated colors. Your perception felt off, nothing seemed real, and as you tried to silently back out and close the door, it made a click. You ran, knowing the two of them would hear, and pressed the elevator button repeatedly, rushed on, and punched the door close button.
Time passed since then. You moved on, never contacting Daehyun once. You never brought it up with the other members. Yongguk, who you were closest to, had tried to bring it up sensitively, assuming you’d broken up properly. You had pondered whether it was intentional or not that Daehyun didn’t mention you, because the other members saw you as close as a sister. When you told him you knew about the new girlfriend after paying a surprise visit, he was stricken with confusion at first, “Well, wouldn’t you have known already? You broke up…” before trailing off and realizing the situation. Yongguk was the kind of person who had a silent fury, visible in the icy look in his eyes and the way his muscles tensed up; you could tell he was angry. You requested he not confront Daehyun; you didn’t want to pick at a wound beginning to scab. The other members found out from Yongguk, and for a while acted distant towards Daehyun. Eventually he picked up on what was wrong, but never said a word about it. At first it was hard for you to move on; you couldn’t help but picture his sweet smile, soft gaze, his cheeky smirk, and you refused to confront him. Sometimes you would wonder if he thought about you, what had gone through his head, how all of that had started, tried to remember the last time you’d talked before heading home and recall if anything had been off. But after a while you moved on, just like he had.
Daehyun didn’t know when you found out, or how. If Yongguk had told you, or maybe you’d somehow seen the girl. A significant amount of time had passed since the last time he’d spoken with you, and even longer since he’d seen you. In that time, he and the girl had broken up; he missed you too much. The feeling had started out small, and he thought it was only post-breakup loneliness that would fade, but it only grew. It became more painful, and memories of being with you taunted him. It began to crush him, changing his bright personality, and swallowing his ability to feel a general sense of happiness. Initially he refused to admit it, but he needed you. The other members of B.A.P noticed, and although somewhat opposed at first, decided to ask you to speak with him.
Why you had agreed to meet Daehyun, you didn’t know. In the moment Yongguk asked you, your stomach churned and things seemed distorted. You thought you’d misheard. But Yongguk simply repeated what he’d said (though faintly begrudgingly).
“I don’t know…” you’d mumbled, playing with your hands.
“I know it’s a lot to ask…considering the past. But I’m-we’re not asking you to get back with him, just to talk to him. I wouldn’t ask you if I thought it could resolve itself, or if there was any way we could help him. I know it’s not an ideal situation for you, and you don’t have to say yes, but I’ve never seen him look like this before. You know I would never ask you to do something like this unless things had gotten bad,” Yongguk replied.
You sighed, having mixed feelings, but a yes slipped out. Yongguk didn’t seem different and if you didn’t know him well, you wouldn’t think he was too worried about it. But his eyes always betrayed him and you could see the concern. And even if you wouldn’t allow yourself to think so, you still cared about Daehyun, even if just a little.
So here you were, dragging your feet as you stepped out of the elevator to get to his apartment. You still remembered the last time you’d been here; running away. You sucked in a deep breath before knocking softly, secretly hoping he wasn’t there. The door opened, and a tired, sad looking Daehyun stood beside it. He still had the same full lips, big ears, and cute puffy eyes, but the sparkle that used to be in them was replaced by a dull emptiness. Neither of you said a word. You saw something light up in his face for a moment, but it faded quickly.
“Um…come in,” he hesitantly gestured inside. You stepped through the threshold. “Have a seat. Do you…want something to drink? Water, tea…?” he grabbed a glass, made his way toward the fridge, and poured a glass of cold water.
“No, I’m fine,” you remarked curtly, sitting in a chair. You knew it’d be an awkward encounter, but nothing could prepare you for this. You attempted to repress the nostalgia and the feelings of softness for him; when you’d seen his face, your heart had softened for him, especially seeing him so miserable.
“So…how’ve you been?” he asked, making an attempt at small talk. You could tell he was trying to circle around the reason you’d come. You dispensed with those things quickly.
“Look, I’ll be honest with you. I’m not here because I want to be. Yongguk asked me to see you. He said…you weren’t doing well, and I’m just here to…” you didn’t know exactly what you were there for.
He sighed. “I know you don’t want to be here. I could see it in the way you looked at me. I know you wouldn’t see me…I’m sure after Yongguk told you,” he looked down at the glass and dragged the drops of condensation around the outside of the glass.
“About your girlfriend?” He nodded, avoiding eye contact. “Yongguk didn’t tell me. I saw,” you felt your heart harden back up at the memory.
“Saw? When?” he paused, frowning, “We hadn’t seen each other since you left until now.”
“You didn’t see me, but I saw you,” your voice started to change, and you decided not to play games. “I came to visit you the day I got back. A surprise visit; I thought you’d be happy to see me. And then I got there and you were kissing some other girl, so I figured it was safe to assume,” you snarled, glaring intensely.
He sharply inhaled, but you heard no exhale, as though he was holding his breath. “I-,” he started, but you cut him off.
“I don’t want to hear an explanation,” you paused. This probably wasn’t what Yongguk had in mind, but you didn’t care. You felt the rage you’d suppressed rising up, and couldn’t help yourself, “Why I’m here, I don’t know. Why should I care about how you’re feeling, or how you’ve been? You obviously didn’t have the same regard for me. I came back, excited to see you and thinking you’d be happy to see me, but instead I find you with someone else! ‘Don’t forget me’ you said. ‘I miss you already’-,” you stopped. You stared icy daggers at him, but he had turned away, head bowed, biting into his quivering lower lip. You felt your anger replaced by regret. He was already feeling awful, you could see he’d lost weight and it even showed in his face (which was becoming gaunt), he dragged his feet, his hair was messy, and his posture was sunken. He’d likely went over these things in his mind, running himself into the ground. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to-,” you started.
“No. You have every right to be angry with me,” he looked towards you and slowly made his way to you. He paused a few feet away, “I know there’s no excuse. But…I still want to explain it to you.” You slowly nodded, staring at your shoes. “She isn’t my-well I…She was a friend of mine. I know how that sounds, but hear me out,” he raked his fingers through his hair and sat beside you. “She was a friend, I met her sometime after you left. I really missed you, and she was a good friend to me. I didn’t start to date her until later; initially I turned her down, but you were gone so long…and so I made the wrong choice. Things were tough and she took care of me, I was lonely and we spent so much time together, and things happened that I wasn’t expecting. I was too afraid to face you, too ashamed to tell you about what happened, so I didn’t. I thought maybe you moved on and that was why you never reached out to me. And…I realized every time I was with her I still…I thought about you…” he trailed off. For a few seconds, he said nothing. Then he began again, “No one wants to be with someone who always thinks of being with another person, so I just broke up with her; I could tell she’d lost interest anyway. Ironically, she was seeing another guy towards the end. I deserved it thought,” He let out a chuckle, but one laced with pain. “I’m sorry. For not speaking with you, for allowing my short-term emotions to guide me…for hurting you. I’m sorry I wasn’t even there to at the least talk to you, and that I didn’t wait for you. I was foolish and I know I can’t fix what I did,” his voiced started to break and when you finally looked at him, you could see how sorrowful he was. He was hunched over with his hands tangled in his brown hair, elbows rested on his knees, and his cheeks were wet. “I just wish we were still together.”
You took some time after the encounter to think. Yongguk had thanked you for talking to Daehyun; he knew how hard that must’ve been. ‘No problem’, you’d said. There was a problem though. You knew what Daehyun really wanted, what would lift his spirits the fastest. I just wish we were still together. You thought you’d been rid of your feelings for him too, but you weren’t. You knew you wanted the same as him. Still, you were plagued by doubts about his loyalty. Sure, you thought he was sincere, but things change, as you’d seen.
Weeks passed and what happened turned over and over in your brain. One day, Youngjae called you saying that Daehyun had asked to see you, ‘one more time’. You told him to let Daehyun know you would, having made up your mind about the issue churning in your mind. No better time to tell him your take than this last visit.
You knocked on the door again. Daehyun answered, greeted you, and let you in.
“Before you say anything, I need to say something,” you started.
Daehyun hesitated, “Yes...?”
“The other day…you said you wished we were together.”
“Yeah…” he suddenly seemed to find the floor intriguing.
“I…do too.” His head snapped up and he tilted his head, wide eyed. “I want to believe this isn’t a mistake, that I can trust you. But…,” you paused, searching for the right words. “I still have feelings for you, whether I want to or not. But you have no idea how badly you hurt me.” He looked down again for a moment. Though you couldn’t see his face, you knew how much he regretted his choice. “But I want…I want to try again…Give you a second chance.” He looked back at you, making no attempt to mask the shock in his face.
“Are you sure?” he questioned cautiously.
You managed a small smile, “Yes.” He couldn’t stop the grin from crossing his face before hesitantly embracing you tightly, just like the day at the airport.
for @jessieb4893 I am so sorry it’s been months, but I was stuck on it and then...anyway I hope you like it!

B.A.P reacting to their boyfriend’s tattoos
Yongguk:
As someone with tattoos himself, he doesn’t really care, or rather – he isn’t that surprised. Yongguk has a huge chest piece and his older sister is a tattoo artist, so he isn’t unfamiliar with ink and imagery on skin.
Of course, he is interested in your tattoos and would 100% support you whenever you’re considering getting a new one. Whenever you bring the topic up in a conversation, you can bet that Yongguk helps you brainstorm ideas and pulls up his phone to research various tattoo artists.
Yongguk will often find himself immersed in the pictures scattered all over your (s/c) skin and catch himself tracing the various colours on your exposed body whenever he wakes up before you. Tattoos for him is just another art form, and he loves the way they make your skin more vibrant.
Himchan:
Having no tattoos at all, Himchan is a little shocked when he sees yours for the first time. However, that doesn’t mean he’s negative towards them. After the initial shock, Himchan’s curiosity gets the better of him and he can’t stop asking you questions.
He secretly loves how badass they make you look and add to your overall ‘bad boy’ image, but he will constantly tease you for taking his bad boy role. Himchan also secretly loves the way other people look at you in public because you’re his gorgeous boyfriend! Though he will never admit it due to his pride.
Since he has no tattoos, he knows very little about the process around getting one and that is the topic he will ask the most about. If you want to get a new one, Himchan would definitely ask you if he could come along, and if you got one for him, he will definitely cry.
Daehyun:
He has some of his own and seeing yours would make him considering getting new ones. However, he cares the most about the messages they portray and the meaning behind them. Daehyun’s tattoos mean a lot to him and he loves to hear you talk about the stories behind your own.
Daehyun is the most likely out of B.A.P to get matching tattoos with you. Not your names necessarily, but maybe something dear to the both of you and your relationship. Your boyfriend is a sap after all.
A thing he likes to do is kissing them. Whenever you wear something that shows off the ink you got or wear nothing at all, there isn’t a single moment where his lips have been all over your skin.
Youngjae:
Another member who doesn’t have any tattoos and probably won’t get anyone either. Youngjae is also the member who’s the most shocked by your tattoos, but that quickly passes as you explain each of them to him and changes into understanding.
He grows rather fond of your tattoos and how they look on you. Youngjae has his favourites and he is not afraid to rank them and point out the ones he likes the least. Since he knows you are confident in them and in your own decisions, he knows that his own opinions won’t overrule your own. The ‘critiques’ often tend to make you laugh instead.
Even if he doesn’t want tattoos of his own and means they won’t fit his image and personality, he is quick to realise how good they look on you. That results in him becoming your own personal stylist some days, Youngjae is rather persuasive too because he won’t leave the flat if you’re not wearing what he wants you to wear.
Jongup:
Jongup doesn’t have any either and he doesn’t really have any strong opinions regarding the topic. In fact, he doesn’t really register that you have tattoos until one of his fellow band members asks him about it or points it out.
He feels quite awkward for not noticing it earlier and it just makes him shyer to ask you about it. Because of his awkwardness and seemingly ‘disinterest’ in the topic, you ask him if they make him uncomfortable. Feeling guilty, he explains the situation really embarrassed to which you reassure him with long and loving kisses that he can ask whenever and whatever.
After getting attentive to your beautiful work, he feels a bit flustered whenever they are visible, not only for not noticing them before but also because he sees how handsome you look with them. Jongup is the least subtle being you know about, so it’s easy to spot whenever he has looked at them too long due to his red ears.
Junhong:
Having looked up to Yongguk for years, it’s no surprise that Junhong has tattoos. He would be the most excited of the members when he finds out that his boyfriend has tattoos as well. There is no chance you will be able to explain them all without a lot of interruptions from him.
Junhong is the boyfriend who loves to take cool pictures, so a good chunk of the pictures on his camera roll would be the both of you wearing clothes to show your tattoos off and your bodies pressed and tangled together so the tattoos are included in the shot.
Seeing your skinned filled with them makes him smile and he will trace them whenever he has the chance, however, most of the times that result in a tickle fight. Junhong has no idea why, but he feels extremely confident with you and by seeing you express yourself in the art covering your skin.

“This dress is so heavy, I feel as if I have a weight upon me that is dragging me towards the ground,” you complained and he chuckled. Leaning towards him, you smiled. “Perhaps you could be a gentleman and help remove it?”
“You are a positively wicked creature, Y/N.”
“Why? I am merely asking for your assistance.”
“Here?” Daehyun questioned and you nodded. “You surely wish to risk being found with your stable hand by others from the party and have me hanged?”
“So I can go for a swim in the lake under the moonlight,” you reiterated, slapping Daehyun’s arm as he chuckled, hands expertly delving into the rich fabric, searching for the enclosures. You grinned at his willingness, stretching up to kiss him on the side of his face. His hands faltered and dark eyes turned to soak you up, making you feel as if the fabric upon you would suffocate you with how stifling hot it was becoming.
“Temptress,” he murmured before continuing with his aid, taking some time to figure the confusing nature of it before stripping off his plain shirt as well. Taking your hand, you both began darting down the pathway to the lake beyond the garden maze.
Just as you were about to enter the water, Daehyun pulled you back into the bushes rapidly, a hand covering your muffled confusion as best as it could. Staring up at him, you stilled when you heard the gurgled cry, the splashing of frantic water beyond your vision. You lurched forward only for Daehyun to hold you more tightly, shaking his head desperately. The noise from the lake soon ceased as your heart grew louder within your chest. Just as you went to pull away again, you heard footsteps enclosing on your hideaway, Daehyun quietly drawing you both back into the garden and out of complete sight. Clamping your eyes shut, you remained tucked into his side until he tapped you, giving you the silent instruction to wait where you were hidden.
Shaking your head in protest, you gripped at his hand and Daehyun swallowed heavily before nodding, stepping out onto the pathway again and checking both ways. You stumbled behind him onto the lakefront, gasping when you saw a body floating within the stained water.
“Stay here,” Daehyun instructed and you let go of his hand when you recognised the dress design, dashing into the water. Turning the woman over, you screamed and fell backwards, tears streaming from your eyes.
It was Lucy, your best friend.
And you had just listened to her death.

Making It 🧛♂️🎥🎃
Congrats on your milestone my love... you deserve all the support in the world! Could I please request something with Daehyun as a vampire or fluff set around Halloween! Thank you in advance and for all you share with us 💖💖💖
Thank you so much for requesting, @prettywordsyouleft. I am happy to write anything for you!
Genre: Idol!AU/Fluff
Pairing: Daehyun x You (Female!Reader)
Warnings: None
Words: 2,324
You tried to control your breathing as you ran through the woods, not wanting to risk being heard more than you already were. You were currently barefoot, so you were making enough noise as you stepped on the pine straw and twigs and leaves on the ground beneath you -- any more noise and you wouldn’t be safe for long.
A glance over your shoulder, the moonlight shining down on your face, and you discovered it actually didn’t matter how much noise you were making: he was right behind you, his red eyes gleaming through the darkness and staring at you hungrily.
Your brow furrowed deeply, and you had to tamp down a scream of horror as your heart jumped up into your throat.
Just as you saw him take a step toward you, you turned back around to run. There was no way you could escape him now that he had his sights set on you, but you could try to delay it as long as you possibly could.
But then, before you could even lift one foot off the ground --
“CUT!”
You almost instantly deflated, and the music stopped as your makeup artist scurried over to do touch-ups.
Music video shoots were usually exhausting, but this one was turning out to be particularly long and grueling. You had no one to blame but yourself, of course, since you were releasing a single just before Halloween and had wanted to pair it with a holiday-appropriate video. What better theme than dark forests and vampires?
Speaking of, the actor you’d chosen to play the vampire himself was heading over to you, his smile shy but also quite beaming -- fake fangs included.
“Hi,” he greeted with a soft chuckle, lifting a hand to wave at you as he approached.
“Hi,” you replied with a smile of your own as your makeup artist pressed a powder puff to your forehead. “You’re doing a fantastic job.”
The actor was actually a fellow musical artist, Daehyun. He had quite the prolific career in a six-member group, and you’d been a fan since before you, yourself, had broken out into the music scene two years ago. He had always been your favorite member with his powerful vocals and charming eyes, so when you finally made enough of a name for yourself to start casting actual celebrities in your music videos, you’d requested Daehyun.
And now here he was, standing right in front of you in full vampire attire.
“Oh, thank you,” he replied, nodding at you. “So are you. I honestly thought you were really scared of me just now.”
“You make a pretty convincing vampire,” you said with a soft giggle.
“I think it’s the fangs,” Daehyun murmured, lifting a hand and touching one of the sharp tips protruding from his mouth.
“Yes, definitely,” you grinned. “The fangs and the red contacts. And the cape. And the grayish pallor.”
A smirk tugged at Daehyun’s lips, and your heart repeated its action from just a few minutes ago: it jumped up into your throat.
“Yeah, that would just about do it,” he said.
The director interrupted you then, seemingly appearing out of nowhere (though you figured you just hadn’t noticed him because you’d been too distracted by the handsome vampire conversing with you). “We’ve just got one more shot, and then we’re moving onto the next scene.”
You nodded, and you didn’t have a chance to ask for any more details because the director continued on.
“We’re going to do the part where he catches you,” he explained. “Now, remember, we’re going for a more gothic and romantic feel rather than a horror movie feel, so it won’t be like an abduction sort of scene. It’s almost like you want to be caught.”
Looking at Daehyun listening to the director so earnestly, those plush lips set in a serious line, you knew you wouldn’t have to do much acting in the next twenty or so minutes.
You definitely wanted him to catch you.
“Got it,” you murmured, tipping your chin in a slight nod as the director whirled around and went back to his spot behind the camera.
Before Daehyun turned and assumed his previous place, he whispered a ‘Good luck’ and gave you a thumbs up.
Oh, god, could he be any cuter?
You had to take a deep breath to get back into your ‘I’m being chased by a vampire and I’m scared but also intrigued’ mindset. Your eyes were closed when the director called for playback on your new single, and when he yelled ‘Action!’ your brow furrowed gently as you got back into character.
Your lips began to move, mouthing the lyrics to your song, and you watched with terrified curiosity as Daehyun the vampire smirked wildly at you. Tearing your gaze away from him, you turned and began to run, eventually finding a tree to hide behind.
While you attempted to fit your entire body behind the sturdy trunk, you allowed one hand to slip out into the open as your chest heaved to try and catch your breath.
Of course, as was your plan, your visible hand was an open invitation for Daehyun, and within several seconds, you felt his fingers gently grasping your wrist. The director had reminded you that you almost wanted to get caught, so after the last word in the verse finished, you tugged one corner of your mouth into a smile.
“And cut!”
You let out a breath, and Daehyun let go of your hand before he appeared around the side of the tree. His smile was so wide and beaming that the breath you’d just let out ended on quite the shaky note.
“All right, scene change,” the director announced as the rest of the crew scurried to follow their orders.
“That was really good,” Daehyun praised, and you couldn’t stop yourself from smiling like somewhat of an idiot. Coming from him, someone who’d acted in countless music videos, it was one of the highest compliments you could receive.
“Thank you,” you replied with a shy nod.
“We’re moving on to the bedroom scene,” the director said then, effectively stopping your heart.
“Excuse me?” you coughed.
“He’s caught you, now he’s going to turn you.”
...Ah. Right. A bedroom scene for a vampire really just meant biting the victim’s neck and sucking her blood. You felt silly that you’d been so startled by the director’s words, but one look at Daehyun told you he had been in exactly the same boat.
The expression on his face right now was, in a word, classic.
About half an hour later, you found yourself standing in the middle of a Victorian-style bedroom, tilting your head as the special effects makeup artist dabbed blood onto your skin with a q-tip. She had just placed two puncture wounds right over your vein, and you and Daehyun were preparing to shoot the scene where he drinks your blood and turns you into a vampire.
...You weren’t going to lie, you were incredibly excited.
“Let’s take our places,” the director said, and the makeup artist quickly poked you a few more times before she dashed off behind the camera.
You shot Daehyun a look, one which clearly said you were more than ready and that he was going to do a great job. The two of you had just filmed the scene where he’d actually bitten you, so now all he had to do was finish the job.
As your song began to play again, you waited for the director to yell out ‘Action!’ before again mouthing along with the lyrics.
Your heart jumped in your chest when you felt Daehyun step right behind you, when his hands gently landed on your upper arms. And when you felt his mouth on your neck?
Oh, boy.
You knew this was all acting, but...
You couldn’t deny how good it felt.
You closed your eyes, still mouthing along to the song as you felt the fake blood dripping down your skin and over your shoulder. Your head tilted back just a little, allowing him better access, and Daehyun’s hands tightened on your arms. His chest pressed up against your back, and you instinctively leaned into him, bringing one hand up and resting it on the back of his head.
After a few more moments of Daehyun sucking your blood, the director called out to you to open your eyes and stare into the camera. You were a vampire now, and you had to let the audience know.
With just a bit of regret, you lifted your head, though you still kept your hand on the back of Daehyun’s neck. And on the director’s cue, your eyelids flew open and you stared straight into the camera lens. For an added punch, you lifted one corner of your lips into a very satisfied smirk.
“Perfect! Cut! We’ll add the red eyes in later with CGI, and I think that’s a wrap, my friends!” the director called out, smiling proudly.
You let out a soft exhale as you felt Daehyun step away from you, and the entire set broke out into soft applause to celebrate the end of the shoot.
As you’d done on the sets of your other videos, you made your way to each and every person on the soundstage, thanking them profusely for their hard work and dedication. Even though you and Daehyun were the stars of the video, it wouldn’t have been even remotely possible without the crew behind the scenes.
Once you’d made your way around the entire set, your manager set a warm, fuzzy jacket around your shoulders and ushered you out to your trailer to get changed and ready to leave.
It wasn’t until your makeup artist had removed all the blood from your neck when you realized you had left the set without one word to your co-star. Your eyebrows raised, and you were just about to turn around in your chair and say something to your manager when there was a knock on your trailer door.
“Come in!” your manager answered before you had the chance.
Your eyes were glued to the mirror in front of you, watching the reflection of the door to see who was paying you a visit. Embarrassingly, your heart was racing at the thought of it being Daehyun.
And, almost as if you’d conjured him just by thinking it, there he was, standing in the doorway of your trailer with his own clothes and no makeup on.
Looking like an absolute ten out of ten.
“Hi,” he greeted with a shy chuckle, his lips pulled into a friendly smile. “Sorry to bother you.”
“Oh no, it’s no bother at all,” you replied immediately straightening in your chair. Your makeup artist was still taking the blood off, so you couldn’t turn around to face him just yet. He seemed to understand because he walked over to you and leaned against the vanity.
“I, uh -- I just wanted to thank you,” he said, his expression genuine and earnest as he gazed down at you. “I had a lot of fun. I’ve never done anything like this, and I’m honored you chose me as your co-star.”
You felt your smile curving to match his, and your heart skipped a couple of beats as you looked right back at him. “You’re welcome,” you replied softly. “I’m really glad you could fit it into your schedule.”
The two of you chatted for a minute or two about the video, both expressing your excitement to see the final outcome and your gratitude for the great work of the director.
Just as your conversation about the video came to a natural stopping point, your makeup artist stepped away from your chair and headed into the small bathroom in your trailer. You figured Daehyun would say his goodbyes and leave... but you were more than happy to be proven wrong.
“Listen, I --” he began, shifting a bit uncomfortably as he avoided your gaze for the first time since he’d entered your trailer. “I was wondering... One of my group members is having a Halloween party tomorrow, and I know it’s short notice, but would you --”
“I would love to,” you replied, not doing anything to hide your excitement.
The expression on Daehyun’s face quickly transformed to match your tone of voice, his eyes widening and his smile growing. “Really?”
“Yes, absolutely,” you nodded. “I can just borrow my outfit from the video for my costume.”
“Oh, that’s perfect. I was thinking I would do the same thing and just go as a vampire. And you could --” He gestured to his neck, indicating you should put on some fake puncture wounds and blood like what your makeup artist had just taken off.
Oh. So, he was suggesting the two of you go as a vampire and his victim? Like... a couple’s costume?
Interesting.
“Yeah, yeah, definitely,” you said, trying to hide a sly grin. “But, I mean, that kind of forces us to stay together all night at the party, so...”
Daehyun shrugged, and you could’ve sworn you saw a smirk hidden somewhere in his smile. “Yeah, that was kind of the point.”
Your eyebrows shot halfway up your forehead, and it took everything in you not to laugh with delight.
“So... what time will you pick me up?”
You had been working so hard in your music career for two years now, meeting as many new people as you could and trying to get your face and name out there in the world. And now, after finally “making it,” you had indulged yourself in casting exactly who you’d always wanted to play your romantic interest. Even though he had actually been a vampire in the video, and the two of you hadn’t shared an actual kiss...
Well, I’d say things were turning out quite splendidly anyway.

Doomed to Confess
Deahyun x fem!reader | cheater, smut, Choi Seunghyun
Word count: 930
Requested by a very patient anon
I hope you enjoy and that this is what you meant aaahhh!!
~
“Do you work tonight?” Seunghyun asks you as you are very clearly getting dressed for work.
“No. I just like dressing up like a waitress in my free time.” You reply, giving a fake smile. “The skirt is extremely comfortable.”
“Oh. Well, bring me back something to eat.”
“Please?”
“Please!”
You kiss his cheek after you finish getting ready for work. He grabs your arm and pulls you closer, whining slightly before kissing your again.
“You should call off. Just for one night.” He pouts.
“My manager will fire the holy hell out of me.”
You kiss him once more before grabbing your keys and leaving. The drive to work is anything but exciting. There is the normal mid-day traffic and and the stop for coffee to keep yourself awake for the shift.
A few staff members greet you as you rush through the front doors. A waitress stops you and warns you that your manager is pissed you are late. You hold your breath and run to the computer to clock-in. A shadow covers the screen and you awkwardly turn to face the figure. Daehyun stands there with his arms crossed. You lower your head and begin to apologize but he cuts you off.
“If you’re late one more time, I’m gonna have to write you up.” He looks at you in disappointment.
“Sorry. Seunghyun was-” You are cut off once more.
“I don’t care about Seunghyun. You’re expected to be here on time from now on.” He smiles. “And you can stay late to clean up.”
You sigh and nod your head. “Yes, sir.”
The shift goes unbearably slow with Daehyun watching over your every move. You sigh in relief once he puts you on break, running to your car and texting Seunghyun.
[Babydoll]: I’m gonna be late...got in trouble again
[Seung-honey]: oh...is that my fault?
[Babydoll]: idk. its ok. don’t worry about it. [Babydoll]: ill text when i leave
The rest of your break goes smoothly, listening to music until it’s time to go back in. Daehyun seems to back off you later in the shift, worrying more about his own duties. You finish your shift and watch as everyone goes home while you stay late.
“I want this place spotless. I don't care if it takes all night. I can afford it.” Daehyun smiles as he walks to his office.
You begin to break down the prep station, wrapping the food and placing the tubs in the walk-in. Dishes pile high in the sink and you begin to feel angry. You remember your boss telling your coworkers to leave as much work as possible for you. If he wasn't your boss, you'd smack the shit out of him. As you walk to the fridge, you drop an entire tub of mushrooms onto the floor. It makes a noise loud enough that you're sure your boss heard it. You hear the office door open and start to feel angry with yourself.
“What the fuck are you doing?” Daehyun stares at the wasted food on the floor.
“Apparently I’m being a god damn fuck up!” You yell out in frustration.
Daehyun is taken aback by you raising your voice. “I-”
“Are you going to make me stay until my next shift is over, now?” You rip your apron off and throw it across the wall.
“Don’t take this shit out on me! You’re the one that keeps making stupid mistakes!”
The two of you step towards each other, both ready to fight. Your body shakes with anger. Once he reaches you, you slap him hard against the cheek. Daehyun glares into your eyes, making your heart pound hard in your chest. You’re surprised when he grabs your shirt and pulls you close, colliding his lips into yours. He grabs a handful of your hair. You push harder against him and he throws your body back into the prep table.
He lifts you onto it, ripping at the buttons on your top. You bite at his lip while pushes your skirt above your hips, pushing your lace underwear to the side. He grabs your hair again and pulls your head back, biting hard at your neck. Your body twitches forward and you scratch at his shoulder blade. Daehyun brings your body closer to the edge of the table with one arm while unhooking his belt.
Your head rolls back as he wastes no time in pushing his hips into yours. He gasps quietly, feeling electricity surge through him as he thrusts into you. The hand in your hair moves to your throat, fingers tightly wrapping around it.
Daehyun’s pace speeds, making it hard for you to keep your composure. He growls under his breath, feeling heat pool into his stomach as it twitches. You hold your breath, digging your nails into his skin as you yell out in pleasure. Daehyun’s breathing staggers. He grabs your thigh, pushing himself deeper. His body trembles and he pulls away, collapsing into your chest. He fixes himself before standing straight and wiping the sweat from his forehead.
He pulls your skirt back down and grabs your apron from the floor. “Are you quitting?”
“Am I fired if I don’t?”
He smirks and chuckles. “You’ve got a job if you don’t tell your boyfriend about this. And fix your attitude.”
You take hard breaths, fixing yourself a bit more as he walks back to his office. The door shuts and you stare at the wall for a moment. You stand, placing the apron back on and finishing your work for the night.

Daehyun and rainy days
okay I love this one it’s adorable
“Bored much?”
His arm snatched around your waist from behind with such ease and professionalism that it was crystal clear how familiar and ordinary this task had become over the long time you’ve known each other as lovers. Your fingers remained rested against the window, and you waited for Daehyun to settle into a more comfortable position, his chest pressing against your back firmly, providing a sense of warmth and safety.
“It just won’t stop,” you concluded quietly, watching raindrops slowly sliding down the glass, as if participating in a race to who’s going to hit the window sill faster, “I mean, I understand, it’s rainy season and all.. But it’s been straight up pouring for three days in a row. I kind of miss the outside world at this point.”
His warm chuckle hit the nape of your neck, and he took the chance to nestle in a little cozier, his chin sneakily landing on your shoulder. He sighed in content and took some time to simply watch the same scenery as you before drawing his own conclusion.
“Too bad. I don’t miss the outside world at all.”
There was a sense of understandable exhaustion in his voice, and that alone made you tangle your fingers into his hair and brush through it a few times reassuringly. You knew that while he was young, had the power and the abilities and opportunities to do so, he had to go and conquer as much of the world as he could, at any given chance. But you simply couldn’t help but wish that he’d be here more often. Home, giving himself a rest every now and then. Life was full of cliches and on most occasions his was overworking himself.
“At least I have an excuse to, like.. Sleep all day and stuff,” Daehyun’s voice was somewhat pouty and you chuckled at that. Being lazy every now and then always brought a sense of comfort, didn’t it?
“Or to cuddle up to a certain somebody.”
“As if you ever need an excuse for that,” you immediately dismissed his statement and proved it wrong, but he didn’t even seem mad about any of that. Instead, his lips softly pressed against the side of your neck and he left a few taunting kisses there before burying his nose in that same spot, breathing in your scent for just a moment and letting silence hang over your heads.
There were so many days in a lifetime and he certainly didn’t spend enough of those with you, or at least it didn’t feel like he did. But he loved you. He loved you so much, for being there, for being understanding, for being every sort of compassionate.. Daehyun felt his grip around your waist tightening even though he knew he didn’t have to do that, it’s not like you’d leave anytime soon. And still, he wanted you to know that he did want you to stay, for as long as you could. Moments like these were rare, but every time they occurred he swore himself to make them more frequent.
His final conclusion came in a mumble, followed by long, comfortable, peaceful silence that was only interrupted by the sound of raindrops hitting glass.
“If it would be up to me, it would never stop pouring.”

“Hey, baby.” You happily greeted your boyfriend, bending down to kiss him there he was sitting on the floor. “I brought the snacks you wanted,” you handed Jongup a white plastic bag which he gladly accepted, “how was your day?”
He shrugged some but looked upwards to give you a shy smile. “It was okay, me and Junhong practised on some new choreographies.”
Being used to his short replies you simply bent down again and kissed the cute birthmark on his nose. Jongup only hummed in content and began unpacking the items you bought.
“Have you decided what you want to watch? It’s your turn to pick.”
The silent rustling noises from the bag stopped and you noticed how your boyfriend nibbled on his bottom lip, stopping his movements for a minute. A minor blush accompanied his nervous habit, highlighting the mole you found adorable.
Jongup stopped his nibbling only to mumble something incoherent, staring intently on the rug underneath himself.
“What?” You had to refrain from both laughing and teasing him for his awkward antics. Instead of repeating himself, Jungup stood up from the floor and began preparing his dorm room for your weekly movie date.
He was embarrassed again. Though turning around to hide his expression, you still saw his flushed ears. Sighing softly, you shook your head in adoration. Moon Jongup could be so clueless sometimes.
Again, you bit back a playful remark and joined your boyfriend’s preparations instead, moving the TV closer to the bed.
Jongup sent a thankful smile your way to which you huffed in reply. You just knew he had chosen some anime. Despite him almost choosing that every time, he still felt embarrassed by voicing it. Not that you minded it, you liked anime yourself – one of the key factors getting Jongup to talk to you in the first place, and you didn’t mind his awkward nature; on the contrary, you actually found it quite charming.
You were in the middle of placing the pillows the way Jongup liked it when you felt a slight tug at the bottom of your shirt. Biting softly down on your lip to muffle a laugh, you just continued as if interrupted.
Jongup pouted when you ignored him and tugged harder at your shirt.
“[Name],” He paused, already fumbling with his words. “Babe.”
The cute stutter of a pet name followed up by Jongup wrapping his arms around your waist almost made you halt in your movements and you were sure Jongup could feel how it affected you.
He confirmed your thoughts by hugging you tighter. Now you didn’t really have any other choice but turning around.
“So, what will it be; Naruto? DBZ?”
Jongup’s cheeks flushed again and you had the front seat view, admiring his thoughtful expression in his warm embrace.
“I wanna watch a One Piece movie.” He said hesitantly after a while.
Laughing, you softly broke out of his grip and lead the both of you onto the bed. “Got it.”
“Are you sure you don’t mind, [Name]?”
After making sure you both were comfortably seated, you turned to meet his eyes. “You know I like anime too, right?”
“Yes, but-”
“Then there’s no issues.” You interrupted, having had this conversation before. “It’s your turn to choose and we will watch whatever you wanna watch, baby.” Kissing the corner of his mouth this time, you motioned him with your hands to come closer.
Jongup’s ears turned red by the pet name usage and sweet peck as he accepted your open arms to cuddle.
“Besides I always ‘real movies’” your comment earned you a pinch from your boyfriend, “so we balance each other out perfectly.”
